 at most I'm sleeping all these demons away If you ever looked for something ridiculous, it was this reporter that was trying to catch information for her private life, nothing to do with scandals, but she felt like she was walking the line of one. Being in the line of the cheaters, the betrayals and the ridiculous, she felt like she had to protect herself, protect him. She needed answers to understand what she had done to create such a fight and she felt still very weak about it, if she thought about it, she felt the shivers going down her spine. That was a reason that she looked absolutely ridiculous right now. It was cold outside, so a thick black jacket wasn't surprising, the dark blue beret she had found somewhere and because it was sunny (yet cold), she wore sunglasses, her long blonde hair was braided and she had that over her shoulder. Her normal black handbag over her right shoulder, holding on to it as if she was dying, her knuckles white and she was in the park. There had been an announcement for streetball and she hoped Akio would show up so she could drag him away and have this fake interrogation, she just needed to know, it was not that bad. G wouldn't be here, right? He wouldn't know, right? She tried to tell herself that every five seconds and felt like a horrible girlfriend. Akio was in Tokyo Park walking towards the nearby basketball courts, he'd heard there was another streetball event going on, so he'd come on down and was more prepared this time, bringing his own basketball to practice with, a water bottle and a towel to wipe off any of his sweat, carrying the bottle and towel in a backpack The last time I played streetball was when I met Hana and got into a fight with those thugs, hopefully this event goes a lot smoother he thought to himself as he approached the event. It was a little chilly today so he'd worn a shirt underneath his tank top and was wearing a jacket as well as wearing some compression pants underneath his shorts to cover up his legs and protect them from the cold at least a little bit. He walked along the path and bounced the ball practicing his ball handling before the game, dribbling it between his legs, behind his back as well as a combination of moves. As he approached he noticed a familiar blonde sitting on a nearby bench, he approached her "Hey Hana, did you just get hooked on street ball last time you watched?" he asked with a slight smile as he came and stood in front of her

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She wanted to be innocent, so neutral, so undercover that it made her almost fall of her bench when Akio passed her and greeted her. She lowered her sunglasses and stared at the redhead student, "This was a failure." She muttered more to herself than to him as she stood up. "To be honest, I hope you don't mind to miss this streetball session. I wanted to talk to you, no I need to talk to you and..." Hanako did not finish her sentence as she looked left and right. This was a disaster, this was bad and she felt this twist in her stomach that made her realize how guilty she felt. "Akio, I..." It felt ridiculous, it felt mean, it felt pathetic, it felt like a lot of things. It felt as if she got a thousand text messages from people looking at her and pointing her out as cheating. SHE DID NOT CHEAT! "There are a few things after last week that I want to know and I hope we could talk somewhere in private, I know streetball is important to you but actually I don't have any arguments against it, I can't think of anything. I just ask if you would like to talk to me about what you told me, last week, you know about you and... G." Wow, that took her long, it was as if she herself was trying to correct herself for being the handling bitch, witch, for trying to find things, answers to things that were not her business. Hanako muttered something about a failure and said she hoped he didn't mind missing the streetball but she needs to talk to him, Akio cocked his head to the side in curiosity "You need to talk to me? Sure what's up," he asked her. She wanted to talk about stuff from last week? Stuff that Akio had told her about him and.....and G The stuff from the halloween night huh? Akio thought to himself as he guided her away to a more private area away from the crowds "I'm assuming you've already had a talk with G then, considering he's your boyfriend and all I'm sure you guys have talked about some stuff and that's why you're coming to me right?" he asked her "So then, what is it you want to know? I'm sure G's told you some stuff, some of it's probably just him being paranoid and overreacting about stuff I did but, I'll answer whatever questions you have truthfully so, whatever you want to know, ask away," he said to her, he knew if she'd talked with G already he'd have said some bad stuff about Akio, G really didn't like him but, that's just what overprotective dads are like with their daughters he guessed

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She could not believe she was doing this, it made her nauseous and guilty of a crime that was not in the books. She described what she wanted to talk about albeit hesitated on the name. When Akio asked if she talked to G about it, she made a short cough and wiped away a solo tear. "Yea. We had the typical fight about it." She bit her lip softly and followed Akio to just walk around a bit. That was oerhaps better than a bar, more difficult to spot perhaps because G would go crazy. "I am sorry, it makes me a bit emotional." She moved the sunglasses on top of her head and took her phone out of her purse. The black one, the white one was safely back at home. This was for her personally not her job. Another thing on the increasing list that she had to tell G at some point. "I know it will be a long shot, but could you tell me about how you and Miku met and you and G? I am sorry that it feels like an interrogation, it is obviously not you. I want to understand to avoid ma-making another fight about it." She felt nervous for saying it for making notes but this made it perhaps easier in the future. If she would know what would push his buttons so she could avoid it. She tried to tell herself that she was actually doing this for him. "I am sorry, I feel like I am lying to him by asking you." Hana told Akio that her and G had a fight about what happened "Oh, oh I'm sorry I hope everything's ok with you guys still," he said apologetically, feeling that his outburst might have caused trouble for everyone, he then noticed her wipe away a tear and she mentioned that it made her a bit emotional "No, no it's ok, I don't have any tissues or anything but I've got a clean towel in my backpack if you want it?" Akio offered to her. She then said it'd be a longshot but she asked if he could tell her how he met Miku and G and apologized saying it felt like an interrogation, Akio shook his head "No, no it's fine, I assume you just want context on my relationship with them, that's ok," he said with a soft smile "Well, I met Miku at a sign up for the cooking club at school, we were both signing up and we introduced ourselves knowing we'd both be club members, we started dating after I bumped into her in the shopping district and after a day of hanging out with her I asked her out on a date, at the end of that date I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes," he said giving Hana the short version of how him and Miku got together "As for G, I actually met him through Chise, she said that she'd been training with this guy and I wanted some help with training so I asked her to give him my contact details, I didn't know G was Miku's dad until a few weeks into our relationship so I'd been training with him for a while when I found out he was Miku's dad," he explained to Hana "Anything else you wanna know?" Akio asked as he found a seat and sat down

Which felt like a lie and yet it was not, they did not finish the conversation but they were fine, they were still together, the fight was basically over and things like that. What more do you need or was to expect, right? She brushed her hair away, which was not even there, it was a natural move she did when she had no idea what she should do or say. "No, no I am fine." Again that word, fine. Fine on a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being happy and lucky and 1 being horrible, was perhaps a -2 as it was a lie you told yourself. Fine was a nothing, it did not make you feel special, it only made you feel worse because you wondered: really am I fine? Why would I say that and that's where she was now. When Akio talked, she noted a few things down, not to write an article, again this was for the sole purpose of being for her only. But she wanted to understand, unfortunately, and yet, fortunately, she had not made any notes about their fight but some words perfectly well rang in her ears, especially the painful shut up. G had said Akio knew his past, but for that she first wanted to know how he met the two most important pieces of this specific puzzle. She nodded, so Miku at school, which was a very logical thought and point, and G through Chise. Right so Chise was another piece in the puzzle, she did not know the girl and wasn't sure if at this point it was okay to talk to her, she did not blame her, actually she did not blame G for the idea of a prank but the horrible way of making it and the goal behind it, that made it bad. Including the fact she was on the receiving end but she did not want to admit that. "How did he react, like when did he figure it out? I mean how." She really felt like she was interrogating him and she looked away shortly at the point when she sat down. "If it's too much, please tell me, I just want to avoid ever offending him but there are so many gaps in the argument and in the fight that we had that I do not understand." I should leave. But she did not, she did it for him, it was rude, it made her feel guilty but it was for the best. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

When Akio asked if her and G were ok, she responded they were fine and politely declined his offer of the towel again saying she was fine, Akio nodded. As he was talking he noticed Hana writing notes in her phone I guess she's really diligent with her information Akio thought to himself as he continued to speak. Hana then asked how G reacted when he figured it out and how did he figure it out, she then told him if it was too much to just tell her "Hana really, it's fine, I'm sure you would've been told about all this sooner or later," he said to her with a reassuring smile "Well, I was in the hospital after I sustained some injuries trying to intervene in an attack in an alley during my nightly run, Miku was there visiting me and I told her a kiss would make me feel better, as we were kissing G walked in and caught us, yelled at her to leave the room and me and him talked, obviously he was super angry at me but, I was able to convince him to give me a chance, which I don't think he's giving me a very fair one but, that's just my opinion," he told her with a slight shrug at the end

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She wasn't sure if she would have been told, at least not by G, so she would have had to have a moment with Miku, which did not happen previously either. Which was maybe even considered strange, surely she met Miku, dinners, where she gave food before popping off again, she had met Akio prior and perhaps that was why it was so easy to talk to him, she also believed he was the one providing answers better than Miku. Miku wasn't the issue, after all, it was G and Akio's. Mostly G's but at least one of them was providing the answers or well something in that way. She moved her feet back and forth because she could barely touch the ground while sitting normally on this bench, thanks to her heels it worked though. She raised her eyebrow, okay this went extreme, attack during a nightly run, so much for safety around, but that was not the issue right now! She wasn't working! She rolled her eyes, that was a typical dad move, albeit extreme, it could be surprising if your kid knew the kid you were teaching and you found them kissing at the random moment that you did not expect. She wanted to ask if Akio knew G his past, the problem was, how would she ask that carefully without giving up what she had heard from G and thus influence the conversation, she really doubts Akio was capable of blackmailing else he would have already done that to just see Miku. "Your relationship is going fine right? Even if he doesn't seem to give you a fair chance, it doesn't influence Miku?" She decided to ask first, to make it seem she was just fishing for random information and not specific. She did not dare to trust Akio, afraid she let her own feelings and G's word influence herself, she had to ask it. "Random strange question, but did you ever talk about G's past with anyone? Like do you know what happened? How he adopted Miku for example?" It was formulated as if there were no problems at all, but there were and he would know it if he did, if he did not, he would have a random story on the how or a simple no would fulfil.

After Akio finished telling his story, Hana asked him if his relationship with Miku was going well and even if G doesn't give him a chance it doesn't influence Miku, he nodded "Yeah, we both love each other and it doesn't affect what she thinks but, I still wish G would trust me with her, but I am happy with Miku and she's happy with me so, that's all that really matters," he said smiling at Hana, even though G didn't exactly trust him, he knew that Miku did and that was the most important thing to him. Hana then asked him if Akio ever talked about G's past with anyone and if he knew what happened, like how he adopted Miku, Akio shook his head "No, I don't know much, all I know is that G did some bad stuff in his past, I don't know the specifics of what he did though," he said with a shrug, remembering that woman made him shudder, if possible he never wanted to see her again, but if he did he wouldn't know what he'd do to her "Actually, now that you mention it, I am curious how G adopted Miku, I don't know how he could've possibly met her but, there's no way he's going to tell me," Akio said with a sigh, G wouldn't tell him anything he asked, maybe he could ask Miku though?

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She had to be realistic to herself, she had been very alone, did not care about anyone and just write what she thought made sense, was useful for her column and so on. Right now it was perhaps the after effect of developing feelings for people. G being the man one but she liked Akio and for some reason, she felt as if she was the only one who could bitch about people for unnecessary and bullshit reasons but that was not true. The proof was in all the text and pictures she got. It was good that G did not affect Miku's thoughts because that would make her angry and disappointed but it was not needed to think about that. She nodded, because there were no words, it would only be fair if G trusted him, where did it all go wrong. It did not help to tell that it was Miku's decision, and she did not plan to say anything about it, but it would have been so much easier if they could have a proper conversation about it. Man, this guy needed therapy. She brought herself back to the conversation when Sin smiled at her and she missed the point what he said and simply smiled politely back, rude one Hana. So she decided something else, tactical saying. "Who told you that, if you don't mind me asking." Must be Miku, she guessed and she nodded, so G was exaggerating, a good thing to know. But how to break that information to him. She stopped moving and simply looked back at Akio with a questionable look in her eyes, if he did not know that, he did not know anything that did matter. No, indeed there was no possible way he would tell Akio. "I mean, I don't know either," She lied, "But is that important? G is her father now, it might even be rude to ask them about it, which is why I did not do it, I don't want to rip open any wounds." What was she doing? It was not her business from refraining Miku from telling Akio, the thing why she said this was to protect G from Akio asking it to Miku and the girl perhaps telling. What did it matter to her, it was not like she would ever mention this conversation to anyone again. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

When Akio finished explaining what he knew about G's past, Hana then asked him who told him about G's past, now this was where he didn't know if he should tell her or not, but he did tell her he'd answer all of her questions honestly "The woman who put me in the hospital when I intervened in that attack, it turns out she's G's ex, and she ended up a villain because she was influenced by him, she told me that he did some bad stuff, that's how I found out," he explained to her, boy was that conversation a shock to Akio, finding out that his master and girlfriend's dad used to be a villain. When Akio got curious about how Miku was adopted by G Hana she asked if that was really important and that it might even be rude to ask about it, Akio nodded "Yeah, that makes sense now that you say it, she's happy with him as her dad so I guess there's no need to question that," he said as he leaned back against the bench he was sitting on "Also if it's relevant information I'm sure Miku will tell me at some point so I don't really need to worry, right?" he asked as he smiled at Hana

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away It stung a bit, she did not know why because it was obvious that they both had their fair share perhaps of ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends but that did not make it more pleasant to hear about it. She gave a stiff nod about it and looked away at her lap, clenching and unclenching her hands. At least she did not say much, "Pathetic." She mentioned, to only become a villain because your boyfriend is. She heard of nothing more pathetic than that. It made her think about possibilities that she did not want to think about and she mildly shook her head, before turning her eyes back to Akio. She tried to convince him to forget the point of adoption. It was a shame really that G did not want to accept such an understanding boy as Akio. She would not fight it, she just wanted to know what a real threat it was and it wasn't. "Yes, I bet, when she feels like time is ready, she will tell you. It is something so normal to them, that she might not even consider telling it, yet." It was a lie, she did not know how Miku felt and it felt bad for saying this, but it would protect G and that was her duty as well now too, right? She was still feeling horrible about herself and doing this behind her boyfriend's back but at least it got her to the point where she knew that she was right and that was enough. She did not feel to fight about it anymore, she also did not feel about fighting him ever again because it had been anything but pleasant but just like everyone knew, it would happen again, but probably not about this subject. She would see what she could do, to play it from the other side and protect their time together, while Miku was with Akio, she could distract Gil, she had enough assets for that. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

When Akio finished telling Hana who he heard G's past from, she called the villain pathetic, Akio nodded "Yeah, that's what I thought as well, she also told me some other....disturbing stuff which I'll spare you from," he told her shuddering at some of the stuff she told him She was such a fucking creep Akio thought to himself. Hana told him that Miku might tell him when the time is ready and that it's such a normal thing to her, she might not even think about telling him "Yeah, that's a good point actually, I didn't think about that," he said nodding in agreement. Akio checked the time and realized that he would miss the official streetball games but could probably play some pick up games with some strangers "So uh, is there anything else or can I go play some basketball now?" he asked, not thinking there was anything else for him to answer. He turned to leave but stopped and turned back to Hana and gave her his phone number "Here's my number if there's any other questions you want or you need to meet me or anything," he said to her before waving goodbye and heading off to the court to try and find a game to play in
