It's Time for Action, Not for Play || Nick

Nick took in great gulps of the surface air as though trying to get as much of it into his body as possible, because he was. And then some.

“Fuck me,” he breathed out again after a moment. “I never want to go down into that hellhole again.”

He truly, genuinely, absolutely did not, under any given circumstance. Were it not for his eagerness to deal out some much deserved retribution to some worthless Quirk-hating Quirkless scumbag, he would not even have bothered with the mutants that had remained in the sewers after their first encounter. They had chosen their miserable fate.

He allowed Nari to take the lead and do the talking. It was only when he followed her across to the nearby apartment building that he at last spoke up again:

“The mutants should really fight for themselves,” he said to Nari. “Maybe we can capture the person that burned their home down and bring them to them. The first group, I mean. Then we can let the mutants decide the perpetrator’s fate. Doesn’t mean we can’t rough the perpetrator up ourselves a bit, of course...”

Upon reaching their spying point, he folded his arms and leaned against the wall by a large window, looking out with careful eyes. “I do dearly hope we won’t have to wait long.”
