As the other person entered the cafe, she just took out her phone and wondered what would she do. Call the cops? Well, she could. She could tell them everything and even send a photo of her captor.
Her thoughts were cut short when the new person approached her "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. For real, though, what's a kid like you doing by yourself? No boyfriend to pay for your tea? Kuro-sama didn't try to up-sell you, did she?"
Luckily Nemuri dealt with him and told him to do some work. Meanwhile, Miku had 3 options, call the cops, call her captor or text her captor. She took a deep breath and decided to call the cops. But just as she was punching the numbers in. Her phone started to ring. And of all people... It was him. Miku panicked a bit and quickly answered
"Hello?" Miku semi nervously said, or maybe more appropriately asked, since thats how it sounded like "What's with that weird voice? I just wanted to check up on you since our last conversation and since you were seemingly gloomy, I thought I'd lighten the mood with taking you to a festival thats gonna start in a few days. But, enough about me. What IS with the weird voice?.... Did something happen?" he asked over the phone Miku quickly responded and tried not to sound suspicious "What? No! Nah! Nothing happened. I'm just...umm...drawing?" But there was one problem with what she said. Well, not what she said. It's how she said it. Miku was a very bad liar "Yea, about that. I dont believe you. You're a bad liar" Well, now Miku didnt know if she should just end the call, but if she did, would that anger him? Her mind went blank

黒い砂へようこそ ❝ BEFORE ANY FURTHER CONVERSATION could happen, Miku had pulled out her phone and started to call somebody. Nemuri's shoulders relaxed in relief. Good. She was going to call the police, right? She had to be. The resolved look on her face sealed it. That would be one less murderer on the streets once he was caught, and hopefully, it would help Miku feel better and safer. Poor girl didn't need this sort of stress at her age. Then, without warning, the phone rang and she answered it in surprise.
Nemuri mouthed "Everything okay?" to her as she lied about what she was doing. Was it her parents? Wait...no, she had told Nemuri that they'd been killed by the villain who kidnapped her. Maybe it was a friend? Except Miku had claimed that she didn't have any. Dread filled Miku's features. Who was it?
Was fate such a monster that it was--
"Is that your boyfriend, short-stuff? You better tell him off for not being here to buy your tea." Riku helpfully spoke up, loud enough perhaps to be heard on the phone, his wise-ass smile audible in his voice. "Hell, Kuro-sama could open a tab for you if he wants to get over here and do it himself. Right, boss?"
Nemuri took an empty tin tea-pot from off the shelf and raised it above her head in a threatening manner, like she was about to hurl it at Riku's fat head. He laughed and turned back to the shelves he was dusting. Nemuri cursed again.
"That dumba--dummy doesn't know when to shut up. Hanabira-chan, I'm very sorry." She spoke much quieter, trying to avoid being picked up by the phone if she could help it. If fate really was cruel, and it was her kidnapper on the line, then she didn't need him to hear her voice. Or anything else. Riku had already been an idiot and spoken out of turn, but thankfully he hadn't said anything more incriminating than that Miku was at a cafe. And her stupid little nickname.
Instead of speaking again, she grabbed a pencil and piece of scrap paper from the counter and wrote something on it as quickly as she could.

Miku froze when the boy spoke up, because He heard it loud and clear "....Who was that?? Why should you tell me off for not buying you tea?? Are you in a cafe without me?? Hey! Are you in Tokyo?? We could hang out!" Miku couldnt tell him that she was in Tokyo. That meant that he could track her down. She had to say something "Oh...well...I'm at Musutafu, with my classmates"
She clumsily lied and noticed Nemuri writting on a scrap of paper asking if it was him. Miku just nodded and signaled to her. Yes, it was him.
"Oh...If you say so, but Im still not buying it. Anyway, I heard a festival is gonna open in a few days. I bet its gonna have a bunch of stuff you like. Wanna hang out? It's been way too long since we saw eachother" He tried to invite her and spend time with her.
Miku then quickly thought of a way to get him off her back. As much as it pained her. She really really wanted to be with him. But knew how wrong it was. She discovered that she had a mother. She should focus on getting to know her mother and forget him. But she was scared, what if she abandoned him. Would he then truly become a monster? Miku spoke "Oh..I'd love to, but...I already made plans to go with a friend!" She lied once again "I see.... So, are you avoiding me?" "What?! Me avoiding YOU?.....N-naaaah" "Good. Good. Well. I know stuff happened. But I hope I get to see you soon. I will go to that festival. Maybe we'll run into eachother!... I hope" "Y-yea!" "Well then. See ya!" "Bye" She quickly ended the call. Miku knew she was in deep doo doo. She knew that he knew. Whatever strength she had to call the cops was gone

黒い砂へようこそ ❝ FOR ONCE NEMURI WISHED that she had been wrong, but sure enough, Miku confirmed that the person on the other end of the line was her villain. What she wouldn't give for a Quirk that could telepathically communicate with somebody, or track a phone number to a location, or...something. She had no idea what she could do to help in this situation. Miku managed to lie her way out of something with him, said her goodbyes, and hung-up, leaving the room silent save the sounds of Riku picking things up off the shelf to dust beneath them. Nemuri chewed on her bottom lip. Crap. Crap, shit, crapshit. She had no idea what she could do to help in this situation.
Riku looked back over at his clearly distraught boss and the girl and, finally, seemed to figure out that something was up. "You guys, uh...okay over there?"
"Debatable." Nemuri responded automatically, then sighed, closed her eyes, and raised her hands to rub her temples. She didn't want to get him involved. "I just. Frick. Rikkun, you make bad decisions. Have you ever had somebody in your life that you knew you had to avoid, but wanted to spend time with?"
"Gee, when you put it that way, Kuro-ruu," Riku scoffed and approached them again, cloth napkin tucked into his apron pocket, "Not really? I cut and run when things start going bad, instead of sticking around. Sure, it sucks for a while, but a clean break is waaaaay better than dragging it out, especially if shit gets toxic. Is this what she..." He gestured to Miku with one hand.
Nemuri nodded slightly, eyes still closed. Riku whistled.
"Damn. You're too cute for that kind of drama, short-stuff. Don't have a crowd of girls to stand between you and your, uh, 'problematic friend'?"MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

Miku sighed as she just realized she made someone suffer by sharing her burden. She then took an extra ¥100 out of her wallet and gave it to Nemuri, as a token of apology
"I'm sorry for that. I shouldnt have dragged you in my problems." Miku said as she finished her tea and got ready to leave
This was exactly what she feared. Being someones burden, a chore. She didnt want to drag someone into her problems and she didnt have enough strength to call the police. Besides, most of them are Quirkless humans, how could they deal with a monster. But, she still loved that monster. Sure, he did some terrible, heinous and horrid things, but he was a good father. And they had many good memories together. But... she was a Hero now...or a Hero to be. It was her duty to tell the police. She thought that maybe her guardian miscalculated that.
But,she couldnt think. She had to forget. Besides, there's a chance he comes here. The guy wants to visit EVERY cafe in Tokyo. He either already visited this cafe or was about to visit the cafe. So she decided to leave right away

黒い砂へようこそ ❝ "HEY, WAIT A SECOND."
Nemuri took the bill out of the tray but rather than put it away, she went around the bar towards Miku, holding it out to her with a serious little frown. "There's no way I'm letting somebody pay me for them telling me something that was bothering them. For one, I'm not a therapist, and secondly it's not a burden. And third you better not be thinking about going out there all by yourself when you know he saw through your lies and might be looking for you. At least..." she sighed, then, with a slight smile returning to her lips, reached behind her back and untied her apron, "Let me walk you to your next destination. I'll feel less terrible if I know you got where you're going safely."
Riku pursed his lips together. "...Nemuri-chan, if it's that serious, then--"
"You man the shop, Rikkun, I'll be back in at least half an hour."
With no room to argue, Riku huffed, muttering something back at Nemuri in a voice that sounded oddly higher than his own, just too quiet to hear properly. He then went behind the counter and started checking everything over.
Nemuri took off her apron and set it over the railing by the door. "Where to, Hanabira-chan? I personally would vote for the police station. But...if you just want to get back to your dorm, or wherever, then I won't bully you. Except for bullying you into letting me come along. That, I am absolutely doing."MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

As Miku was leaving, she heard Nemuri telling or yeling her to wait. She stopped and turned around to see Nemuri giving her back her money and talking to her with a frown on her face
"I didnt pay for you as if you're my therapist. I'm rewarding you for your kindess. Also, it sure looks like a burden by the looks of it now. Also also, dont worry. He might have caught my lie. But he's not gonna start chasing me. I know him well. He trusts me to do the right thing."
The next thing Nemuri insisted is that she escorts Miku to her destination. Which honestly, Miku had no idea where to go. She flinched when Nemuri said the police. But then slightly relaxed when she said dorm
".....Dorms....." she said defeated. Later she elaborated "Im not ready for the police yet. They cant stop him. And even if they do. It would have more negative consequences than positive ones. Prison is what turned him into a monster. Thats what he told me at least. I think I'd want him awayfrom any negative influence....Plus...me backstabbing him...I dont think I can. That would finish him"

黒い砂へようこそ ❝ IT WAS HARD TO LET THIS GO, but Nemuri didn't have a choice right now. She couldn't force Miku to go to the police without physically taking her there, and then that was opening its own can of worms. The best thing she could do for now was get her somewhere safe, and hope that sooner or later her courage came back, and she did the right thing. Her comment that he might snap if she turned him in also left Nemuri even more concerned.
If she could make the call herself, she would. In a heartbeat. Still, that wasn't possible right now. It would take more information, but maybe...
Nemuri smiled a bit more and nodded to Miku, opening the door for her as they approached it. Outside the shop the streets of Tokyo hustled and bustled as they usually did, the late-mid-day sun shrouded by a thin layer of clouds that might give way to a drizzle in time. Their street was lined with other little shops, most of them on the higher-end of things, but a few shops that catered to hero-specific shopping were also along the street. It made her feel just slightly happier seeing the family logo on those shelves. While it wasn't the only reason she'd picked this location, it had helped make the choice faster. Once outside she stretched her arms up over her head and felt her spine creak, then looked down at Miku.
"So. Which way are we headed, anyway?"

Miku was nervous, while Nemuri was nice, the idea to puting away her 'guardian', snitch him and put him in jail was a 50 shades terrible ideas that would terribly end terrible. While Nemuri insisted that Miku wasnt a burden. She knew she was. She knew she put Nemuri in a terrible situation and just got her more and more concerned as time went on.
Miku was concerned if Nemuri would try to pry information out of her. Like ask what was he like or describe his appearance. She was scared that Nemuri would try to report him herself.
Getting outside and walking through the streets of Tokyo, just made her more nervous. Tokyo was his place. He prowled Tokyo at night. Luckily it was day,Miku thought where would he go during the day. What kind of scared her that, she just didnt know. She knew visiting cafes was one of his outdoor hobbies, but thinking about it now. He was very secretive. And for a reason
Once Nemuri asked Miku where she was going. Miku snapped out of her thoughts "Hm?...Oh...well...Im gonna go to UA.But, I guess you can just escort me to a train"

黒い砂へようこそ ❝ U.A? REALLY? WELL, SHIT. Nemuri's eyes widened and she gave Miku a quick double-take to tell if she was kidding, but without a trace of humor on her face, it looked like she was telling the truth. Well, that put this whole mess in a new light--she was a hero at U.A with a villain stalking her? Fuck--but on a happier note, it was super impressive. "Wow, so you're the real deal, huh? What do you do? Are you a first year? I haven't seen you in the tournaments before, and we stream those in the shop. Get a good crowd, too."
Was it silly to escort Miku now knowing what she was capable of? Maybe, but then again this wasn't a matter of pure ability or strength. This was somebody who had an emotional hold on her, and that was more dangerous than anything.
Happy subject. Stick to the happy subject.
"Y'know, my little sister has plans to go to U.A in a few years. Support, not heroics. But I bet it'd make her year if she could make you something." Nemuri chuckled and kept walking, her arms crossed behind her head. "Let me know if you're in the market for a scarf or hat made of super-strong golden thread. That's her thing. It's really, really gaudy but, hey, I'm sure it'll be somebody's thing."

Nemuri was seemingly surprised by Miku's answer. Well...it was kind of expected. Miku does seem too delicate for Hero business. But it's mostly because of these background problems bothering her
"Yes,I'm a first year." she gave a short answer
She tried to guess how Nemuri felt about this new information. Surely she felt a bit odd escorting a future Hero. Miku didnt know what to feel or what to do. She then heard Nemuri speak up, but on a different more happier subject "Thank God" Miku thought
"Support. Yes, that's good. Honestly, I'm wondering if I should have chose support. My Quirk is mostly useless in urban areas. I need plants around me or fertile soil. Not cars and concrete." Miku explained. But thinking of it now,she was surprised they havent talked about their Quirks yet
"Oh? Scarf? Um...sure, I'll let you know" Well, she didnt need a scarf, but she didnt mind getting one, if it helped someone

黒い砂へようこそ ❝ SHE WAS STILL A LITTLE CAGEY, not that Nemuri could particularly blame her for that. Still, she didn't want Miku to be stuck thinking about their prior conversation if all it was going to do was trap her in a dark place. Maybe if Nemuri kept her thinking about being a hero then she'd feel stronger and more confident to do the right thing. Maybe. If not, though, then at least this would be a more pleasant conversation topic than the other.
"So you manipulate plants, or something like that?" Nemuri surmised from what Miku had given her. Huh, that was interesting. The limitations sounded like a bit of a bitch. "What, is it too silly if you carry a potted plant everywhere with you? I'm kidding. Though, there are tons of less urban areas in Japan where they could use heroes. Sure Tokyo is probably not the best place for that. But in Karuizawa, or further north? Tons of plant life everywhere. I bet you'll find a place that works best for you. Just think positively."
Miku sounded confused about the offer for a scarf, and Nemuri snickered softly. "I mean I say 'scarf' because she's still shit at knitting, and part of her Quirk is she only produces the thread. She still has to make things out of it. Maybe in the future she can make, like, a pair of really resilient gloves or something. Though I guess if you use plants then you aren't the type to punch people in the face all the time. Still. Food for thought."
Through the streets of Tokyo they continued, sticking to the more populated areas rather than weaving in and out of alleys. The train station was closer to the center of town than her shop, but it still wasn't too bad of a walk. Along the way Nemuri began to notice a few posters up in windows and signs on the streets.
"Oh, hey, they're advertising for that festival that's coming into town. I bet Kayda will want to come..." She grinned, then looked over at Miku again. "Do you have time between classes to go, Hanabira-chan? It might be a lot of fun."

"Yes, I can manipulate plants. Thats my quirk" Nemuri then jokingly said if it was too silly for her to carry a poted plant. Which made Miku giggle a bit "Honestly. Sometimes I was so desperate that the thought already came to my mind. And...I guess you're right. I know there are less urban areas, I just didnt know where exactly. But for now I'm stuck at UA and I have to somehow adapt to this that's around me"
Nemuri further elaborated the scarf thing "Oh, I see...Well that sounds cool. I'd like to try stuff she makes"
The continued walking and continued sticking to more populated areas of Tokyo, noticably avoiding dark alleys. Nemuri then spoke about a festival after she saw a sign. It was probably the same thing her guardian talked about
"Oh! Of course I have time. I'd love to go" She happily spoke, maybe this would help her completely forget about the bad things

黒い砂へようこそ ❝ NEMURI WAS RELIEVED TO SEE MIKU LAUGH, even if only just a little. Good. Kids should be having fun planning their futures and learning new things, not getting mixed up with villains. Miku would have much more of that in her future when she was a competent hero. Right now...right now, the worst she should be dealing with was training. At least that was what Nemuri believed. "If U.A is half as excellent as everyone talks it up, then I'm sure they'll be accommodating to your Quirk. At least in training. And, hey, if you ever need a holster for a bonsai or rosebush something, I bet they can hook you up with a cute one? Or I can get my sister on it."
Spotting a flyer that was hanging looser than the majority of them, she plucked it off of the telephone pole it was dangling from to look over the details better. Oh yeah, Kayda--her little sister--would definitely want to go. Misuzu would spend all day with the animals, Sohma would probably cling to her back the whole time, and Riku would do something stupid and get kicked out or beat up by somebody. Was that worth closing the shop for a little while? Absolutely.
A thought struck her. Hadn't Miku said...she didn't have many friends? Or any?
Nemuri looked at Miku with an unreadable expression for a moment. Was she just planning on going alone then? That was so sad. And probably dangerous, all things villainous and carnival-related considered. Should she say something?
Eh, why not. It wasn't like an extra head in her group would be unwanted.
"Would you want to go with me and my staff? If you don't have anybody else to go along. Because...I mean, it's a festival. Those are just more fun with people around you that you know, y'know? I swear, only Rikkun is an idiot," She glanced to the side slightly and added, quickly, "And a massive troll. BUT. We can keep him reigned in if he's bothering you. What do you say?"
After a second she added, in a slightly softer tone of voice: "If you say yes, I promise that the whole time, I won't bring up...the thing, with the guy. It'd be just a fun evening with people who you might become friends with. I swear."MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

Listening to Nemuri. Miku only hoped that the UA could provide someting for her Quirk. The next thing she said she made her smile. Nemuri invited Miku to the upcoming festival and promised not to bring up the thing. Considering she was this friendly, why not?
"I'd love to" she simply said
She hoped she could truly relax there and forget about her worries. But on one hand, she hoped to meet her certain someone to try and resolve problems with him. After all, he also invited her to the festival, so there was a chance they could run into eachother. Miku kind of wanted that. No matter what he did, she still loved him as a father.
