Hello friends!
This will obviously not take place until after the event, but following IC discussions the idea of this has been spread to the chats of 1-C, 1-B, and General Studies I am posting this sign-up sheet for combat and rescue scenarios to be run within those classes. Sorry 1-A, but you can copy Alex’s idea for your own training group, I'm sure he won't rub that in your faces at all! (:
So, plot justification for this is that Alex is taking the lead as part of keeping his word as part of his campaign to become the Class 1-C Vice President that he would ramp up training and do his absolute best to ensure that his class is the top hero class at the school. He has also stated ICly very openly that he not only wants to prove he is a better fighter than the President of 1-A, Rin Kurama, but also a better leader and wants to prove that by making 1-C the best top to bottom class in the school. To do this, Alex is enlisting the other classes and is going to attempt to elevate them as well.
This does not mean that Support Studies or 1-B or even 1-C is barred from training with 1-A. That just means that any program that includes 1-A will not be run by Alex and someone else will have to take the lead in running those at least until the end of the Sports Festival Arc, where it will likely make IC sense for Alex to extend this to all students. This is his IC initiative to make his class the strongest and also elevate 1-B who he considers his peers, and leave 1-A in the dust. This is not a revolutionary idea, but OOC since I’m putting the effort in to make this a reality I would very much prefer that 1-A refrains from just copy/pasting this and starting it at the same time. Let Alex have his moment, please. Feel free to start one a bit later, but if we could refrain from completely dumpstering my character’s signature achievement as a Class Rep immediately, that would be ideal.
This will be divided into two parts, combat training and rescue/other operations training.
For COMBAT simulations, this will be open to any student of Class 1-C, Support Studies (SS), and 1-B. Hero class students will go up against other hero class students unless specifically requested. SS combats unless specifically requested will consist of 1v1s with other SS students or 2v2s with one hero and one support student on each side. These fights will not specifically be open sparring, and may very well have objectives or scenarios to go along with them as well such as the 2v2s in the show.
For RESCUE simulations, the idea is that each student will be following a specific 'role' and emphasizing teamwork. For example, if the scenario is that there are five hostages taken in an office and there are three kidnappers, the group that undertakes that scenario may be pretty big. You would need combat heroes to distract and prevent the kidnappers from harming the hostages and rescue heroes to swoop in and get the hostages to safety at a minimum. These will be designed to be difficult, and failures are absolutely possible and even encouraged. One person trying to do too much or too little could easily result in victims dying needlessly due to the villain getting a shot in or simply a room being unchecked in a house fire due to poor coordination. A small mannequin simulating a child underneath a bed during a fire, for example, is something that could be easily overlooked but is excellent practice to be completely thorough when conducting those rescue operations.
What I’m looking for is twofold, first of all I need PARTICIPANTS for this entire venture to work. As I said earlier, this is open to Support Studies, 1B, and 1C students to start with because they are the initial core that my character has contacted. Next, I need STORYTELLERS who are willing to come up with prompts and scenarios with me in order to keep this fresh. I want to AVOID the ‘1v1 free spar in the gym’ type threads, because quite frankly I have had a million of those and want some variety in my life. In character, Alex is also going to need BUILDERS who are willing to do some of the grunt work to help him physically set up the scenarios that he will be building on school grounds to be used in these scenarios. Alex will have skills in WOODCRAFTING by the end of the event, and unless other people with different skills or the school administration provides help – you’re gonna get a lot of wooden structures.

Another concept I’m going to introduce is that of a ‘mentor’, or someone whose job it is to essentially overlook the scenario and then give constructive feedback at the end on how the students can improve. I don’t know if this is feasible, but ideally the ‘mentor’ would either be a Pro Hero serving as faculty or if this gets big enough even a visiting Pro or simply a student that is 1+ rank higher in the style that is being used in a combat bout. For example, if an F ranked martial artist with a melee quirk and an E ranked martial artist with a melee quirk squared off in a 1v1 combat scenario, let’s use Darren as an example as someone 1+ ranks higher in Martial Arts. He could act as the ‘mentor’ for the bout and give pointers on how to more effectively use that skill in the future to provide ample IC justification for skill ups and such.
The sign-up sheet is below, and I will note again that if an equivalent scenario is not completed for 1-A by the end of the Sports Festival I will almost certainly have IC justification to extend this to all students at U.A. so at worst this is just a temporary exclusion due to the fact that Alex is the one creating and spearheading this initiative. Only Classes 1-B, 1-C, and SS were formally informed of this development IC so it's likely that 1-A won't even know this is happening before it starts.
