Tic. Tock. Tic. Tock.
The seconds that went by seemed to drag on longer than usual. The redhead found herself looking at her phone multiple times with each passing minute that went by. Eyes focused on the phone, then back out to the street, then back to the phone, then back to the street. It had seemed she made a little pattern without even realizing it. Was it normal to be this nervous while waiting for someone? Then again, it wasn't just any old someone the peach haired girl was waiting for.
Ever since the day they made gyoza and he confessed to her, Chise couldn't get Haruto off her mind. Whether it was during class or relaxing in her room, she couldn't help but think about the very words he asked her before capturing her lips in a kiss. Each time she thought about it, she couldn't help her cheeks from heating up and turning a bright red in hue. Sure, it may have been embarrassing to Chise at first, but now since she knew that her feelings were reciprocated, she felt happier then she did before. Perhaps Haruto was the confidence booster she needed.
The two support studies students texted back and forth a few times when they were out of class, starting small conversations with one another, exchanging cute 'I love yous' and such. They still are a little clumsy when it comes to talking on the phone, the redhead especially jittery and flustered whenever she heard the white haired boy's voice on the other line. It may seem a bit over the top to most, but Chise was quite happy, she hoped Haruto was just as happy. She was always excited to see a new message from Haruto on her phone, her heartbeat speeding up each time his name lit up on her phone.
This day in particular, or well perhaps it was more like the night prior to now, Haruto had messaged Chise, asking if she would like to go on a date with him to the local aquarium today. Chise stared at the message for what seemed like an eternity, fantasizing about going to see the pretty fish with Haruto. She was almost too caught up in her own thoughts to reply to the other...almost. She eagerly messaged him back, saying how she would love to go with Haruto and that anywhere he picked would be fun! Fast forward to today. The jittery peach haired girl waiting on a bench at the train station, waiting for her date to arrive so they could head off to the aquarium. She knew she was early, but that didn't mean that calmed her nerves down any less. If anything, it made her more anxious, giving her thoughts like Haruto backed out and that she was way too excited over nothing. She fidgeted with her phone, her right foot lightly tapping on the ground, trying to distract herself from the time. It wouldn't go any faster with her just staring at it.
She had trouble picking out an outfit to wear to the aquarium that would be both appropriate for the place in question as well as proper for a date. She eventually decided to go with a beige colored sleeveless turtleneck and a salmon colored knee length skirt with some beige flats to go with the outfit. A small tan purse was draped across her body and rested at her hip, having hold her medicine, wallet, ID, and eventually phone. She hoped it was appropriate enough, she didn't think it was too revealing and was good for the current weather they were having. She hoped she wouldn't disappoint Haruto...if he showed up that is.

Message sent
With trembling hands, Haruto stared at his phone. Should he have phrased it differently? Was there a better way to put it? How long would it take Chise to respond? Had it really only been twenty seconds? Had this been a bad idea? Should he just add a, nevermind?
Forcing himself away from his nervous thoughts, Haruto threw the phone over to his bed. It would ring when Chise answered, and as they say- A watched pot never boils. Wasn't asking her out in the first place supposed to be the hard part!? They were already... dating... so, why was asking his... girlfriend... out on a date so nerve wracking!? Oh, why had he been so specific, too. Shouldn't he have let Chise have a say in what they did? What if she didn't want to go to an aquarium? Or, what if she didn't have time tomorrow? He didn't think his heart could take it!
But, with only so many days without class, when else could they go on a date? He, just should have planned this out further in advance! Asked her to go on a date next week, so she would have time to clear out her schedule? Really, he hadn't been thinking of any of that when he texted her. It was just, he wanted to do something with Chise, something that didn't have to do with school!
Ding
A small noise jolted Haruto out of his thoughts. A reply from Chise? He scrambled over to his bed to check- And so it was! But, was she able to come? Yes, she was! Overjoyed, Haruto couldn't help but sit on his bed as his knees gave out. She'd said yes! He hadn't even been this nervous when he asked her to go out with him on the firstplace... But in hindsight, what had he been thinking then!? Oh, it was so embarrassing! Like, kissing her before she'd even said yes? Even if she had kissed him first, there, wasn't there an order to these things?
Speaking of order, he didn't have time to set his cheeks on fire like this! "What time would be good for you?" Haruto hurriedly texted back, and waited for response. After a short flurry- All was decided. They would leave early, catch a train, and go to one of Tokyo's many aquariums. Relief flooded Haruto's bones, and he collapsed onto his bed. He barely had the energy left to send, It's a date, then! See you tomorrow! All my love~ <3 before turning off his light and collapsing into a deep sleep.
The next morning, Haruto woke up well rested- And in a panic, as he had forgotten to set an alarm! Fortunately, as he quickly grabbed his phone in a blind panic, he still had more than enough time. Sighing in relief, he got up, showered, and got dressed. He couldn't just wear his UA uniform today, not on a date! He had to at least try to be nice! So he pulled on a grey polo, and some blue jeans- Was this fashionable? He didn't have a clue, but, they were the nicest things he had!
But he had one job before he could meet up with Chise. I'll be at the station in 45 minutes! Love you! he shot a text as he grabbed a key from besides his door. The school may be closed today, but, as club president, of course he had the key to his club room! Which, conveniently, would also let him in the main door! As for why he needed that- well, wasn't it obvious? They were going to be in Tokyo all day, so, of course they would need to eat!
And it would be so much easier to bring lunch with them, than to try to find a place to eat after they were there! Fortunately, although there was no school today, being club president meant Haruto had priveleges- Such as a key, that would let him into the locked room that was granted for their club's use. Really, was there even a home economics class at this school? He'd never seen anyone outside the club using this room...
That aside, he couldn't keep Chise waiting long! The rice cooker was whipped out and set up- In theory, once the rice was done, everything else would too and he could add it all to a bento. He grabbed some eggs, and whipped them together- Add some soy sauce, some sugar, some mirin, some other spices- Add to the pan! Roll it up, and you have a nice tamagoyaki, the staple of a bento box!
Chise liked cute things, so obviously he had to add some octupi to hers! He took some sausages, and with deft movements, cut the ends into eights. Poke two holes for eyes, and fry it up, and voila! An adorable side to any meal. As for the main dish, they were going to the aquarium, so a nice shrimp tempura would be nice! And, as long as he was making tempura, he added some vegetable tempura- Broccoli, onion, cauliflower, yam, squash, and such. And in the interest of health, some non-tempura vegetables as well! A nice little side salad to go with their lunch. Perfect.
With all the ingredients assembled in their boxes, Haruto quickly wrapped them up, and hid them in his bag. Wouldn't Chise be surprised? And he didn't forget to leave some leftovers, of course- Both because it was his habit, and as an apology to the janitor who would have to clean up after him. He normally did his own dishes himself, but today, there was no time!
I'll be there shortly!" Haruto swiftly retreated, locking the door behind him, and was just on time to catch the school shuttle to the train station. To say he was calm during the bus ride, well, perhaps he was? Cooking always did calm his mind, and it certainly had helped with the nerves. But even so, he couldn't help but hope that everything would go well... He certainly hadn't made any plans! It was all spur of the moment!
He couldn't even say why he suggested the aquarium, other than, it seemed like a good idea at the time? He'd never actually been to one before! It was all very new and very exciting, just like his relationship with Chise... Okay, he may have let out a blissful sigh at that thought.
But the sight of Chise at the train station stopped his heart and took his breath away. She was, now as ever, absolutely beautiful. "Chise! Over here! I'm sorry, I hope you weren't waiting for me too long?" Okay, so it was a cliche line, but it truly was the only appropriate one. Walking over to join her, he would set his bag down- Gently, so as not to disturb the bentos, and give Chise a hug. "I'm so glad you could make it. I'm sorry it was on such short notice." He would whisper in her ear as he embraced her. Enjoying her warmth, her softness, her closeness. If he could stay like this forever, it wouldn't be half bad?

The minutes were winding down until the time Haruto had to be here. She was glad he gave her a heads up just as she was leaving the dorms, telling her he'd be there in around 45 minutes or so. Those 45 minutes went by quickly as there were only 5 minutes left until his expected time of arrival. The peach haired girl fidgeted in her seat until she felt her phone buzz once more, indicating a new message. Her violet eyes stared down at the bright screen of her phone, seeing Haruto say he'd be there soon. The cheerful girl felt a bit relieved, glad he hadn't backed out of their date, but felt her nerves grow exponentially, worrying about every little detail about said date: Did she look alright? Should she have packed something for them for lunch? Did she bring enough money to pay for the tickets to the aquarium? Was she worrying too much about all of this? She needed to calm down, but she could never calm down when the situation involved Haruto.
The violet eyed girl put her phone away and held her purse close to her ample breast, maybe if she stopped looking at her phone, her nerves would go down, even if only a little. The redhead closed her eyes and took deep breaths, calming her breathing as she waited. Whatever technique this was, it seemed to have helped, her speeding heartbeat decreasing to that of a mild thumping...well only for a little bit. Her eyes shot open as she heard a familiar voice ring out in the air, causing the peach haired girl to turn and witness her white knight standing only a few feet away from her with a bright smile on his face. Chise immediately sprung up from her seat and brushed her clothes off, not wanting to appear dirty to him at all. Chise walked over to meet Haruto halfway, hearing him apologize and hoping that she wasn't waiting long. Her waiting long? 38 minutes wasn't long right? Right? "A-A-Ahh no, I wasn't waiting long at all. You arrived just in time like you s-said in your message," the girl stuttered, mentally cursing herself for acting so jittery in front of Haruto.
She watched as he sat a decently sized bag down on the bench, wondering what he could possibly need that size bag for, unless he was planning on buying a lot of souvenirs at the gift shop. Her thoughts were put on pause as she felt Haruto pull her into his embrace, his warm arms wrapping around her in a tender loving hug. Chise smiled and closed her eyes, wrapping her own arms around Haruto to reciprocate the hug. Even if they were in public, it felt like they were the only two people there at that moment. Feeling his mouth so close to her ear and the subtle deepness in his voice as he whispered made a shiver run down the girl's spine. This was meant to be a simple hug, nothing else! "I-I-It's alright....I-I really wanted to spend more time with you....o-out of class that is," Chise said with a soft chuckle. If she could stay like this for the entire day, she would but the train would be arriving soon and she didn't want to miss it. Giving one tight squeeze, Chise let go and looked up to Haruto with a bright smile and rosy cheeks. "Let's get close so we can get a good seat on the train!" Chise said excitedly with a smile, turning and watching as the lights of the train grew closer and closer, soon arriving to take them to their desired destination. After only a few moments, the train had stopped at their station, dropping off the current passengers and opening the doors to let the new passengers on. Chise cheerfully walked on the bus and found a nice spot for the two of them to sit. Chise looked over at Haruto and patted the seat next to her, since she had taken the window seat. "Over here Haruto!" she said with a giggle, wanting him to sit next to her before someone else took the seat. Though, she highly doubted someone would take the seat beside her since there were plenty of other seats for them to take.

"Me too. I wanted to spend more time with you, too." Haruto replied without a hint of shame. His arms hung awkwardly in the air for a second as Chise slipped out of them- Ah, what a shame. Even five, no, one more second...! But, she was right. He would have plenty of time to hug her later, and the train was pulling into the station. "Ah, I'll need a ticket... I'll be right back!"
Fortunately, no stupidity along the lines of missing the train due to waiting in line would occur, and Haruto would swiftly return to Chise. "I don't think... I'll ever get used to this level of public transit!" Haruto admitted. Everything was so much less connected out in the countryside! All these different transit lines... How did people ever keep track of how to get where in the days before he could just ask his phone?
Cheerful as ever, Chise bounded onto the train ahead of Haruto, who trailed behind with his bags. How could one person be so cute? It was practically a crime! And for someone so cute to be going out with him... Well, Haruto would never admit how many times he had pinched his cheeks after seeing a text from her. Letting out a contented sight, he happily took the seat she was patting. "It's my first time on the train," he admitted. "It's, well, it's rather exciting!" Really, it was! Just in general, how new it was- It all made him look around in wonder!
But, as new and exciting as the train was- There was only one thing on it that consistently caught his eye. Frequently, he had to tear his eyes away, before he was caught staring. She was just, too adorable! Even if he was her boyfriend, it felt weird to just stare at her... And yet, he felt like he could just watch her for the entire ride to Tokyo! It would be extremely awkward, but... Deep in his heart, a little voice told him, that it would be worth it.
"Speaking of firsts, this will be, our first proper date, won't it? I've, well... I've never been on a date before, so... I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous... But even more than that, isn't it exciting? I've never been to Tokyo before, either! But, well... I'm glad that my first time is with you, Chise!" Haruto couldn't think of a single person he'd rather be with- Not for his first date, certainly, but also for his first trip to the city. Or his first train ride. Or for anything else, really! Any time he could be with Chise, was a good time!
As Haruto chattered excitedly, the train pulled out of the station. "It'll be about an hour there, huh? Good thing we got an early start!" His chatter was part nerves, and part excitement. He would probably be less inane soon... Hopefully, for Chise's sake.
Soon, the scenery outside the train changed from the suburbs of Musutafu, to the countryside. Seeing the greenery rush by at such speeds, Haruto's eyes turned wide. "Whoa!" he exclaimed, staring out the window. He couldn't help it, he leaned over for a closer look- In his excitement, he didn't even realize how close he had gotten to Chise, or he would have turned bright red. "This is so cool!" He didn't even care if he seemed like a child, this was so cool!

So he hadn't gotten his ticket yet? It made sense, he arrived and hugged her without doing anything prior. He better hurry before the train left! She chuckled and watched as he headed toward the ticket counter, purchasing his ticket before returning back to where she was. She heard her white haired companion say that the way public transit was set up was still rather confusing to him. He did grow up in a more rural community, it would only make sense. "Don't worry Haruto, I'll be sure to help you around!" Chise said with a playful, confident smile, even puffing her chest out a bit, showing her courageous and prideful persona. She couldn't hold the pose for that long, as the redhead broke out into a giggle fit five seconds after realizing what she was doing. And in public too!
Bounding onto the train, Chise found her seat and was glad that Haruto made it on in time to sit next to her. Now she could talk and cuddle and...well perhaps not that second thing. Her thought were brought back when Haruto spoke up, saying this was his first time on an actual train like this. "Really? You've never been on a train before? I used to ride the train a lot when I was younger to visit our extended family but now that I'm older, it's not that often I get to ride the train, especially alone. I think this is one of the first time's I've ridden a train without my parents," Chise mused with a smile, glad to hear how excited her boyfriend was to ride a train. Chise looked out the window, admiring the train station just a bit before turning back to Haruto with a smile, excited about spending the day with him. A full day with Haruto, nothing else to bother them. It seemed like a dream come true!
There were more firsts? What else could he think of that this is their first time doing? Her cheeks grew a bit warm, hearing this was his first date as well. Did...did he not have any other girlfriends before her? With how cute he looks, how could the girls in his old school not have fallen for him?! "A-Ah yeah....I've never been on an actual date either. You're...the first boy who's been brave enough to ask me out," Chise said, looking up at him with red, rosy cheeks and a soft smile. Because of her past, she was afraid to date someone in the prospect they would get bullied just as much as she had. She did like a boy in grade school, but he could never return her feelings. Would he think it's weird that he was the only boy he's dated before? Hearing that he was nervous made Chise's own nerves calm down a little. "R-Really? That's honestly a big relief to hear you say....I'm r-really nervous as well," Chise said, twirling her hair out of force of habit, looking down at Haruto's hand. So close yet so far away. She managed to look back up at Haruto, her face while still nervous looked a bit calmer now that she got that off her chest. "N-Not to say that I don't trust you....I just don't want to mess anything up," Chise said to Haruto, trying to divert her mind away from her nerves and onto something more cheerful. Hearing that she was his first made her heart beat just a bit faster. She was glad she would be able to spend the day with Haruto, hopefully she could make him really happy.
Soon enough, the train pulled out of the station and headed toward their destination. The peach haired girl nodded in confirmation when she heard Haruto say the ride would take about an hour. "Well, for right now, we can chat and keep one another company until we get to Tokyo," the violet eyed girl said with a warm smile, more comfortable now. She was about to suggest something to talk about until Haruto's eyes widened and a big smile grew on his face, moving close to her to look out the window at the passing scenery. It seemed like they were passing more of the countryside now even though they hadn't even been five minutes away from the station. She found his childish excitement to be very cute! She wanted to just snuggle and cuddle Haruto, praising him for looking so cute! She would refrain...for now. If he got this excitement about the train, she wondered what else he would get excited about. She would have to take a picture of her adorable boyfriend at some point during the day. She figured out what her new wallpaper on her phone was! "It is really fascinating to watch. From inside the train, everything appears normal but when you look outside and see how quickly you pass by the beautiful scenery. It really is a nice sight to see. Breathtaking even," Chise said with a soft chuckle, resisting the urge to pet Haruto's head. An hour of this, Chise just might die of a cuteness overload before they even got to the aquarium.

"Of course!" Haruto replied with a smile. Seeing the way Chise puffed out her chest with pride, it was just too adorable! It took at least half of his self control not to pull her into another hug, right then and there. But through sheer force of will, and the power of the arriving chain, Haruto managed to resist! Besides, there would be plenty of time for affection, yes? As Chise broke into a fit of giggling, Haruto couldn't help but laugh along. Gods, his girlfriend was just too cute!
As for why he hadn't ridden the train before... Well, that was relatively simple. "Yeah, my family... Well, I later understood that it was because of my quirk, but, we were very careful about where we travelled to. So, places big enough for the trains to run there... Not exactly ideal, you know?" Of course, he knew how Chise got whenever he mentioned the downside of his quirk. "Oh, but, I wouldn't worry about that anymore! I, uh, kinda went to that military camp that's been talked about lately, umm... And I learned some things about my quirk, which, have helped a lot. Actually, since I've had a chance to practice a little... Small things like this, barely trouble me at all! See? Perfectly fine!"
What Haruto didn't mention was all the other stuff he had learned, or that he was fully intending to go back. He knew that practicing like this was poor for his body, but... He couldn't help but want to see how far he could go! But, he knew that if he explained how his quirk was eating him from the inside, Chise would be worried sick about him... So, he stuck to the positive parts, the ones that would help Chise not have to worry about him as much during this trip.
Eh? This was Chise's first date as well? Haruto was admittedly happy to hear it, but, shocked at the same time. Such a cute, kind, wonderful person had never been asked out before? It wasn't that she been asked out but had turned them down, but... To never have been asked out? It seemed so impossible! And yet, what reason did Chise have to lie? It seemed much more likely, and totally like her, that they had- Only, she had misunderstood, and rejected him. Of course, Haruto could only feel so much pity for the young lads who may theoretically have had their hearts broken by this. Moreso, he felt glad that when he had asked her out, it had been in a way that left no room for error... Even if the exact reason for this, turned Haruto bright red just to think about.
"Brave? I'd ask why one would need to be brave to ask you out, but... Well, I think I can kind of understand. If it hadn't been for, well... You know... I, probably would have been to afraid of being turned down, of ruining our friendship... So, umm... Thank you, for giving me courage?" Haruto couldn't help but turn red as he said so. What kind of corny lines was he saying? Look at Chise, she was just as red as he was, if not more! As he thought, kissing was just, just too embarrassing! "So, umm... What I really want to say is, as long as we're together, I'm sure everything will work out! No messing up!"
"Of course. As long as we're together, an hour isn't nearly long enough! So, it's a good thing we've got all day!" Of course, any plans for company were thrown out the window as, well, he looked out the window. Hearing Chise's voice brought him back to reality, her warm breath brushing across his cheek... Had he really gotten so close to her? His face turned the brightest red it had today, and he pulled himself back into his own seat. "Ahem, sorry. I showed you something embarrassing..." He looked away, unable to look his girlfriend in the face. Too close! Too close!
"It really is, I have to agree. But, if you really want to see a breathtaking view... At my home, my village... There's really no words to describe it. One day, I'll have to show you!" It was, the clean air, the quiet... The trees, the breeze... The wildlife, birds, deer... Really, he couldn't describe it. Of course, he didn't even think about the implication of bringing his girlfriend to his family home.
It was insanely tempting to hug her again, to pull this cute creature closer to himself... But, it was just too embarassing to do that in public! Even their hug earlier, was just a severe deficiency in Vitamin Chise! But, even if he wasn't depleted, how could he ever get enough? Still, out of respect for Chise's embarrassment, Haruto refrained. It took everything he had, but he refrained!

Chise listened carefully as Haruto explained why he hadn't ridden a train before, kicking her feet softly as she sat, her feet just inches from the train floor below. A small frown made it's way onto her face, hearing the reason being his still underdeveloped and sensitive quirk. Of course it would make sense; the fumes and such from the train and the possible environments it traveled in seemed quite dangerous with a person with a quirk like Haruto's. She understood now that he was older, he had a bit more control of his quirk, small things like this not bothering him as easily as they did before. She was glad to hear that, the small frown on her face turning to that of a relieved smile. Hearing the military camp from Haruto made Chise a bit curious, perhaps he visited the medical center in the training camp...he did say he wanted to be a doctor after all. "Really? I'm glad! I also have gone to the military camp, although my reasoning is probably much different than yours, considering my quirk can't be used for medical things," the redhead said with a sheepish chuckle, once again twirling her hair out of habit.
The poofy haired girl listened as Haruto doubted her 'bravery' for asking him out at first, explaining that it was something else instead. Chise felt her own cheeks heat up a bit more, watching as Haruto himself grew redder as he talk about this topic. Chise shook her head softly and responded, "N-No...I should be thanking you. I was a bit confused with my feelings as well, not wanting to be rejected if I did tell you and you didn't feel the same way. I-It's happened before...but something inside me told me to take a chance a-and so I did..." Chise said, looking away from Haruto and down into her own lap, finding that looking at Haruto made her heart beat even faster with each glance she made. When hearing him say that as long as they were together, nothing bad would happen, Chise couldn't help the smile that found its way onto her rosy cheeks. He truly was the kindest boy she's ever met.
Hearing him switch gears back to the time they had, the peach haired girl softly chuckled, seeing the enthusiastic Haruto once again. She so badly wanted to take a picture of him like this, but didn't want him to get mad at her for taking such a picture. She then felt him pull away from the widow, apologizing for how he looked. Him? Embarrassing? As if! "That wasn't embarrassing! It's perfectly alright to get excited about the things you like. Please show me more of that!" Chise said, quite serious about her words even if her face was as red as a tomato right now. She listened as he switched gears once more, telling her that the views back in his hometown were truly remarkable. He even said he'd taker her one day to see them! If that wasn't the most selfless thing...well maybe that wasn't the right word to describe it, but then again she never knew what words to describe anything concerning with Haruto other than wonderfully amazing!
Chise once again looked out of the window, only to feel her eyes growing a bit heavy. No no no! Did she forget to take her medicine? She was sure she had set her dose out this morning. Perhaps with how flustered she was she forgot. Thankfully she packed it just in case this happened. Being half asleep for their first date was not a good way to ease into their relationship! "A-Ah pardon me for a moment Haruto," the peach haired girl said, reaching into her bag and pulling out her medicine and a bottle of water, taking a pill out of the bottle and popping it into her mouth before taking a drink of water to swallow her medication. With a soft pop, she pulled the bottle away from her lips and closed her water bottle ack up, slipping it back into her bag before closing that as well. "I forgot to take my medicine this morning. I don't want to fall asleep during our trip to the aquarium, it would be totally rude of me!" the violet eyed girl said, trying to defend herself before covering her mouth and yawning once more. Hopefully she'd wake up soon. She didn't want to sleep during the ride and potentially miss the date!

Seeing Chise's frown, Haruto couldn't help but be happy. No, that wasn't correct. The third word was entirely unnecessary. Still, it was nice to be able to see her concern for him, even as much as he hated making her worry. Which was why he was at least twice as happy when the frown went away- As expected, Chise was cutest when she was smiling! Although, her next words did cause him some unnecessary concern- She had also been to the military camp? But, the main purpose of that camp was for studying quirks, and Chise's quirk was...
But, Haruto knew Chise, and knew that she wasn't that type of person! Perhaps she was like Elise, who was there for the guns... Although, he couldn't imagine Chise holding a rifle. "Oh, really? If you'd told me, we could have gone together! How was it?" Although he was curious, Haruto was more than happy to leave Chise her privacy. If she wanted to tell him, she would- And if not, well, he trusted her, so he wasn't about to misunderstand!
It seemed unlikely that either of them would get much redder than they currently were. Haruto was torn- On the one hand, talking about kissing... He would be lying if he claimed he didn't want to! The warmth of Chise's lips, so fleeting the first time, and not so fleeting later... But, since then, they hadn't kissed. It had been on the spur of the moment, and... Well, it was embarrassing! For both of them! And as much as he craved it, how could he subject Chise to that? But what, was he supposed to just tell her he wanted to kiss? Wouldn't she just see him as a pervert? But still, how could he help having these desires?
But he managed to hold himself back- In part because they were on a fairly crowded bus, and it would be awkward to be too affectionate in front of so many people! So he chose the second option, of changing the subject, and letting both of them cool off. "Well... I'm glad you did." He wrapped his arm around her back and pulled her into his side. He might have refused the urge to kiss her, but... It wasn't like the urge disappeared! But, for now, and until Chise was ready... Just this little bit of skinship was enough to make his heart skip a beat.
"Okay, okay, I will!" Haruto replied. Of course he would, how could he refuse his sweet Chise anything? But, well... Right now, the thing he was most excited about was her... And well, it would just be too awkward to say that out loud! So, instead, he just pulled her that little bit tighter into his side, enjoying her warmth and softness and the smell of her hair. Would she think him weird for that? But, it truly was a nice smell. Like, vanilla, mixed with cinnamon. He couldn't help but take a deep breath, taking advantage of their closeness.
But suddenly, Chise would pull away from his embrace, for the second time today! And no wonder, too- She had forgotten her meds, and was falling asleep! Fortunately, Haruto knew that it wasn't her finding him boring, but... Well, it was fortunate that she had brought her meds with her, but... Seeing her forcing herself to stay awake like that... Haruto was happy to see how much she wanted to let this date go well, but, seeing Chise force herself like this... How could he let that stand? So this time, when he pulled Chise back into himself, he didn't rest her against his side, but instead pulled her over so her head rested in his lap. "It's okay. Just rest for now- it's just a train ride. I'll wake you up when we get there, and your meds should take effect by then, so you'll be wide awake! But for now, sleep." As he spoke to her soothingly, Haruto couldn't help but stroke her hair, as though petting a cat. It... It really was as soft as he had imagined!
But, ahem, that was besides the point.

Chise felt her cheeks heat up only slightly, hearing Haruto say they could haven went together to the military camp. "W-We could have...it's just that...I know you're focused on training your quirk and I don't want to hold you back. I don't even know how I'd be able to strengthen my quirk, given that it's activation method makes me to flustered to even do anything," Chise said with a soft sigh, looking into her lap before speaking again. "I decided to go another route. Rather than just solely training my quirk, I've wanted to build up my physical strength as well. Since I cannot rely on my quirk if I were to become a hero, I have to get stronger physically, to be able to help those in need with my hands alone," the redhead said, holding her hands out and looking at them before closing them. "I trained a bit with some of the military professionals there, helping me train to get stronger than I already am. Only then will I have even a shot at becoming a hero."
Chise decided to switch the topic, not wanting to focus too much longer on the military camp. This was supposed to be a happy time! She didn't want to bring the mood of their date down! She was drawn out of her military camp thoughts when Haruto commented on her having kissed him back then, saying he was glad she did it. If she hadn't done anything, perhaps they never would have gotten together. They would still be stuck in that unknown situation, too nervous to attempt to take things further. Chise looked over at Haruto momentarily when she felt him wrap his arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer to him so her head rested against his chest. Chise smiled and softly chuckled, liking the subtle warmth radiating off of Haruto's body.
Another soft chuckle left her lips as Haruto promised he'd show her the more cute and excited sides of him. Perhaps then she'll capture a picture and save it as her wallpaper. She would stare at him all day if she could, if not for the lack of Haruto pictures on her phone. She stayed close to Haruto, his arm wrapped around her shoulder felt comforting, protective even as she listened to the soft thrum of his heart beat. She felt like she could just fall asleep there with how comfy he felt. His warmth, his kindness, even how he smelt made Chise feel like she could close her eyes and sleep. Wait no she couldn't do that! Chise pulled away and took her medicine, not wanting to fall asleep for their date. She had to stay awake, she couldn't miss a moment of their date! Curse her narcolepsy! Curse her for not remembering to take her medicine before she left!
A soft gasp left her lips when she felt Haruto pull her closer but not letting her rest against this chest. This time, he guided her head to lay on his lap, her head facing the seats in front of her while her hair sprawled out against his lap. "H-Haruto...w-what are you-" she was cut off as Haruto told her to sleep. He knew she was tired, as to no fault of hers, and said she could sleep until they arrived at their destination. Chise was going to protest and say she was fine, but Haruto's lap did feel really comfy. Was it normal for the girl to lay her head in her boyfriend's lap? Shouldn't it be the other way around? "A-Alright.....I'm sorry," Chise apologized before she closed her eyes, softly breathing as she laid her head on Haruto's lap. Just as she was about to drift off, she felt Haruto gently run his fingers through her hair, gently threading his fingers through her mane she called hair, even lightly massaging her scalp as he did. Was this to help her sleep? Whatever it was...Chise really liked it. She didn't like people petting her head...but this was different. Chise softly smiled before relaxing into Haruto's touch, letting her narcolepsy tendencies take over, soon falling asleep under the watchful eye of her boyfriend. Hopefully by the time she awoke, her medicine would kick in and she'd be fully recharged for their date!

Chise, wanted to become a Hero? This was the first Haruto had heard of that, and- Well, he couldn't help but think of Elise, their former classmate who had transferred into the Hero course. Living proof that a strong quirk wasn't the only way to become a Hero- But the thought of Chise putting herself in danger... Of course Haruto couldn't help but hold her that little bit tighter! He supported her choices, but... That didn't mean he wouldn't worry about her, the way he knew she worried about him. "Whatever you end up doing, Chise- Know, that I am behind you all the way."
What else was there for him to say?
Haruto settled Chise in his lap, letting her use his thighs as pillows. They weren't exactly padded with flesh or fat, but... They shouldn't be too bony as to be uncomfortable, he hoped. Err, perhaps he had been overly hasty in doing this! He double-checked her position, not wanting to cause her any discomfort by accident, but... It seemed that her narcolepsy had kicked in, and Chise was out like a lamp. He sighed in relief, absent-mindedly stroking at her silken hair.
Of course, this did not go unnoticed by the other passengers. There was some chuckling, and some awwing. Haruto even distinctly caught a muttered, "Die, reajuu" as well as a slightly too-loud, "C'mon, won't you do that for me?" followed by the distinctive sound of palm hitting face. But Chise was too fast asleep to be disturbed, and- Well, Haruto didn't mind being embarassed himself, only minding when Chise would be embarrassed!
While there was still quite some time left in the train ride, Haruto didn't mind. In fact, with Chise sleeping on his lap, and his fingers running through her hair... He couldn't say he minded if it never ended. On second thought, he would be really sad if Chise never woke up. There was a happy medium. In any case, to say he felt bored or lonely- How could such a thing be?
But really, there wasn't that much of the ride left, and a blissful half hour later, the train pulled into the station in Tokyo. Taking his hand from her hair, Haruto grabbed Chise's shoulder and shook her lightly. "Chise, time to wake up. We're here!" He would say softly. Plenty of time had passed, so her medicine should have taken effect. Still, Chise's face was just too cute! He hoped that she wouldn't mind that he had made it into his phone background- He knew it was impolite to take a photo of her without permission, but, he just couldn't help it!

Do you ever dream of something completely abnormal but part of you wishes that it were real? As Chise slept, she found herself dreaming about running a sheep farm, taking care of sheep young and old, tending to them, playing with them, feeding them, all things a successful, caring farmer would do. Although, Chise never wanted to be a farmer, she just wanted to own a bunch of sheep for herself. She made them cute hats, baked treats for them, all things she would love to do if she owned a real sheep. There was even part of the dream where she rode on a rather large, fluffy sheep, with a rainbow trailing behind them as they flew off into the blazing sunset. Too bad something like this wouldn't happen, only in the land of dreams could you ride off into the beautifully colored sky on an abnormally large poofy sheep.
Just as she thought the next exciting part of her dream was coming up, she felt something, or rather someone, gently shake her awake, rousing her from her sleep and bringing her back to reality. A familiar voice told her that they had arrived, that voice belonging to none other than Shimizu Haruto. Chise made a soft noise and slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes to try and get a focus on her surroundings. She blinked a few times before looking to Haruto with a soft smile, her cheeks heating up just a bit, remembering where she was and what she was doing. "A-Ah r-right!" she said almost hastily, quickly standing up before looking back down at Haruto. "No more sleeping Chise....l-let's head out Haruto. We don't want to spend all day on the train. There are fish waiting for us!" Chise said with a chuckle, following Haruto off the train and into the Tokyo train station.
Chise looked around, seeing all the people walking around the train station, trying to get to their destination. Chise reached into her bag and pulled out her phone, typing in the address of the aquarium they were headed to. "It says the aquarium isn't too far from the train station. It should be a straight shot from here, just 6 blocks down the street," Chise said, turning to Haruto with a smile. It had been a while since she was here but she had a bit of familiarity with the area. Chise looked down at Haruto's hand for a moment before looking back up to him, her cheeks growing warm once more. "W-We should hold hands so we d-don't get lost....that is...if that is o-ok with you. It get's p-pretty busy here and I don't w-want to loose you in the crowd," Chise said looking away from Haruto, a bit embarrassed to ask him such a question. She would understand if he didn't want to. She was sure they wouldn't get lost or separated. There weren't that many people here now...at least in the train station...she didn't know about outside the station, in the streets of Tokyo.

The way Chise rubbed her eyes as she rose... It was just too cute! Haruto thought his heart might stop from the sight of it! And when she looked at him... Oh, it was just too much! But, now was not the time to be lost in his delusions, and the train wouldn't stay stopped forever. "That's right! Come on, let's go!" No longer having a head in his lap made it possible to stand up... Although, Haruto couldn't help but consider that it wouldn't really be all that bad if they had ended up getting off at the next station... Right?
Ah, but, such thoughts were best left to daydreams, and- Well, wasn't Chise just as cute awake as she was asleep? Besides, if she was asleep, they couldn't do anything! And she was right- There were fish waiting! Haruto led Chise off the train and onto the busy platform. Wait, why was he leading? He didn't have a clue where he was going! Fortunately, Chise was already ahead of him on that point, looking up the address on her phone. Six blocks wasn't too far away, but, with busy city traffic... Well, they'd worry about that bridge when they came to it. "Oh, really? That's close! I'd thought we would have to take a bus to get there. Lucky!"
Suddenly, Chise stopped and looked at him with a red face. Was there a problem? Was she embarrassed about having slept on his lap, or... Had she noticed something off while she was half asleep? Or, was it something completely different, like needing to use a toilet? But no, his thoughts were completely off base- What she actually wanted, was to ask if she could hold his hand! The way she turned her head away after asking, while awkwardly putting her hand towards Haruto... For the umpteenth time today, Haruto acknowledged that his girlfriend was the cutest thing in Tokyo, no, Japan, no, the world!
"Ah, o... Of course!" Haruto stuttered in surprise, reaching out to grab Chise's hand. It was so warm, and so soft... For a second, Haruto thought he might lose himself in the bliss. How, how had he never done this before!? It wasn't nearly as embarrassing as trying to kiss, and, oh! It was just such a pleasant sensation! A foolish smile on his face, he intertwined his fingers with hers. Oh, today had been such a good idea!
Shall we?" Haruto asked, using his free hand to gesture towards their destination. "Ah, but, we have all day. It's not often we come to Tokyo, so, we don't have to spend the whole time at the aquarium. We should definitely head there first, to get the day's schedule for feedings and shows, but- If there's anything else you want to do today, do tell me! This is a rare chance, so, let's not waste it!"

A soft gasp left her lips, feeling Haruto almost hastily grab her hand after she suggested they did. His hands were big but they also felt warm, comforting, safe. Feeling his fingers intertwining with her own made her heart beat just a bit faster. She didn't think holding hands could be so...intimate. She had held hands before when she was younger, but now it felt different. She was brought out of her thoughts when Haruto spoke up once more, saying they should head out to the aquarium. "A-Ah right! My bad!" Chise said, leading Haruto out of the train station and out to the city, the beautiful sights of the city gracing their eyes as they took their first view of the city together. Tokyo was definitely a pretty city, the lights at night were especially pretty as she recalled from her childhood. Maybe they would get to see them tonight before they went home.
Chise looked up to Haruto for a moment with a smile before heading off in the direction of the aquarium. As the peach haired girl led the way, she heard Haruto speak up about what else they could do after the aquarium since they had all day to spend together. "I'm sure there is a directory of sorts or at least someone will know what all there is to do here in Tokyo. It's been so long I can't remember what is all here," Chise said, stopping and looking both ways before crossing the street once they had the right away, never once letting go of Haruto's hand. "Ah I do know of a really good pastry shop here we could visit later on! That is...if you would want to. I'm sure there are plenty of other exciting things here for us to do. We do have all day as you said," Chise said, looking back at Haruto for a moment with a warm smile and rosy cheeks before turning her attention to where she was going.
After a bit of walking, the two high school sweethearts finally reached the aquarium, their first stop of the day. She believed once inside they had to purchase a ticket to see the fish. She didn't think it was all that expensive, she could pay for both their tickets. Chise stood outside the aquarium, admiring how pretty the exterior looked from the cool blue toned sign to the drawings and sculptures of fish on the outside. Seeing such a pretty sight gave Chise an idea. "Ne ne Haruto, can we take a picture in front of the aquarium?" she asked, turning to Haruto with a big smile on her face. "I thought it would be good to take pictures of all the places we go today so we don't forget them! Maybe someone would be kind enough to take a picture of the two of us," the redhead said, squeezing Haruto's hand tight. Perhaps she'd make a scrapbook of all the photos they took to keep as a memento from their first date. She didn't get to make crafts all that often, but it wouldn't hurt to get back to making them!

Tokyo was... Well, to Haruto, he couldn't help but prefer something a little less industrial. The towering skyscrapers were certainly impressive, but... To him, his quirk had long since ingrained upon him a distaste for such places, where the large volume of traffic polluted the air and made his head feel light. However, this dislike was well and truly tempered by his excitement- His quirk was now able to contain the pollution, and how could he ever have a dislike for a place where he was with Chise? Especially when he was the one who had suggested it!
He let Chise guide the way, enjoying the small contact between their hands. Just for this alone, he was glad he had invited her out. And the day had only just begun! Was it any wonder that there was a small skip in his step, and a beaming smile on his face? "Oh, I'm sure there is. Maybe I should have looked it up before we came! I would hate to have to stall because we weren't sure what to do next! Pastries do sound good, though. Maybe after lunch, for a dessert?" Haruto still kept his preparations a secret- He wanted to see the surprise on Chise's face when he pulled it out!
But seriously, why were all the things he wanted to do in Tokyo, so awfully not date-appropriate? A new set of knives, wanting to check out the famous Tsukiji Fish Market... Was he really so obsessed with cooking? That was... A little off putting! Especially since now was definitely not the time for that! He was on a date, not a walkabout! "Of course! And I'm sure there's too much to do all today, so... Won't we just have to come back to see the rest?" That's right! There was no need to think so hard about it.
Soon they reached the aquarium- Despite traffic, well- It was only six blocks! Still, Haruto didn't let go of Chise's hand just because they'd arrived. "Oh, that's a great idea! And, well, I'm sure they have a photo booth- Isn't that a must on a date?" but for now, some phone photos would be great. But, he didn't really want to separate from Chise- What was the fun in the photos if they weren't together? "Here, this would make a good background," Haruto gently tugged on Chise's hand, leading her to a cardboard cutout of the aquarium's dolphin mascot. "Here, before we disturb anyone else, let's try this..."
Saying so, Haruto would pull out his phone, and switch to the front camera. Unfortunately, to do so, he had to let go of her hand- But, he was okay with that. After all, he could always hold her hand, but couldn't always take a photo! Besides, to fit both of them in the photo, they would need to be closer than this, so... It wasn't at all a loss! He would step slightly closer to her, wrapping his left arm around her back to grab her left hand, twining their fingers from behind. Leaning in, "Say cheese!"
While both of them were smiling, he would swiftly press the camera button. "The first of many to come!" Haruto showed Chise the photo, which had come out exactly as expected. He gave her hand a squeeze before letting go, and putting his phone away. Offering his hand once more, he would lead Chise inside. Of course, he wasn't about to give her a chance to try and pay! He was the one who had invited her out here, after all. It simply wouldn't be right to ask her to pay for herself as well! In fact, he was already regretting that she had already purchased her train ticket when he had gotten there!
And so before even giving her a chance to offer, he would walk up to one of the self-service ticket booths. Two students, card in, pin entered, done. "Here you go," Haruto would take one of the two bracelets that was spit out by the machine, and wrap it around Chise's wrist, repeating the process with his own. These things were hardly comfortable, but, they did their job after all. Besides, "Look, we match!" Haruto joked, even though, was there really a world in which they didn't?

She was glad Haruto didn't completely reject her idea. She could always make a trip out here with her parents if she really wanted to visit the bakery. She didn't want to have to drag Haruto along for her own selfish reasons. It just wouldn't be right. Although the thought of that sweet vanilla crème mixed with that light and fluffy vanilla cake and juicy strawberries made the peach haired girl's mouth water just a bit. Chise looked to Haruto and nodded, still wanting to focus on the street, and especially the people, ahead. It was true that Tokyo was huge, there would be no way for the two of them to see it all in one day. The thought of coming back made Chise grin, thinking of spending another day here with Haruto. A soft noise of approval left her lips as they walked up to the outside of the aquarium, making sure they were at the right place.
Were photos a 'must' on a date? Chise wasn't quite sure, she only suggested it because she thought it would be nice to look back on. Whatever the reason for photos was, Chise nodded in response to Haruto's comment before she felt him gently tug on her hand, leading her over to a picture of the aquarium's mascot. The dolphin really was adorable, but her sheep still came first before anything else. Chise felt him let go of her hand, already missing it's warmth against her own. She knew it was only for a brief moment, but she couldn't help missing the feeling of his fingers intertwined with hers. Chise shook the selfish thought from her mind, she had to be happy for the picture after all since she suggested it in the first place! Positing themselves accordingly, the peach haired girl felt Haruto's hand move around her waist to gently hold her opposite hand. The position itself wasn't awkward but his left hand hold her own left hand just felt a little clumsy. Chise couldn't help but chuckle as to how silly it must have looked. When hearing the call to 'say cheese' Chise looked up at the camera with a big smile and repeated the same words, "Cheese!"
The violet eyed girl was eager to see how the picture turned out. Hopefully she didn't look silly, she was prone to taking bad pictures, the reason why she never liked having them taken in the first place. A small sigh of relief left the carrot haired girl's lips as she looked somewhat normal in the picture Haruto had taken. Perhaps it was better that he took it instead of her. Feeling him squeeze her hand made her cheeks grow warm again only to feel the coldness from the loss of his touch in it's place. Chise frowned for a split moment before Haruto offered his hand to her once more, Chise almost hastily grabbing his hand again, happy to feel his hand intertwined with hers once more. The duo soon headed inside the aquarium, waiting to see what sorts of wonders they would see today.
Once inside, Chise took her bag and was about to get her wallet out but Haruto had already left her side and went to pay for the tickets. He really didn't have to pay for her ticket, she could have paid for herself. Save him that extra 500 yen he might need for later. Chise would get mad, but couldn't be mad at Haruto for wanting to do something nice. She would have done the same thing after all. She carefully watched as he returned to her side, helping her put the cute pastel blue band around her wrist to show that she had paid. These tight plastic like bands tended to be a bit annoying, but when Haruto put it on, it almost felt like she wasn't wearing one at all. Perhaps he had a secret technique for making them not constrict your wrist. She watched as he held up his own wrist, showing her his matching band. She softly chuckled, once again seeing his cute enthusiasm. "That we do Haruto," she said, taking his hand in hers once more, heading into the main part of the aquarium.
Out on display was a large glass tower in the center of the room that hosted a wide array of different fish big and small. They all had their own unique colors and shapes. Chise's eyes lit up, seeing the beautiful centerpiece of fish as the big focal point for the aquarium. Chise absentmindedly dragged Haruto along as she walked around the tower, admiring all the fish that she could spot inside. She didn't know all the kind of fish, but they had little cars around the pillar with the name and picture of each fish inside. There were several different paths they could take from there. They could go to a room with more kinds of fish, they could go see the different sharks, the sea turtles, the dolphins, manatees, even penguins! Chise turned to Haruto with a big grin and asked, "Where would you like to head first Haruto? It's your first time here so it's only fair you get to pick first!" she said with a giggle, wondering what place he would choose for them first. She had been to the aquarium before, but it definitely had been a while since her last visit. She wondered if they added any new exhibits to the aquarium or not. They would definitely find out though!
