G Major and A Minor (Kenshin)

As the spider girl watched the two musicians fight the thugs, she noticed Kenshin's bass guitar in its case lying down on the grass. She made her way to the instrument, watching over it until the battle was finished. She sat down and watched, praying for the safety of the white-haired adult and teen.

As Kenshin dodged yet another bat swing, he began to realize that he could not fight back like this, nor could he dodge forever. Without a weapon to defend himself with, he was at a massive disadvantage. He needed to transform if he wanted to put these quirk haters in their place. Looking around, most of the people had already left. Besides Genzu, spider girl, and the thugs, no one else would see him transform.

Kenshin then saw Genzu use his quirk. The boy could not help but be impressed with how cool that thing was. "Yo, that's awesome! Nice quirk, man!" Spider girl cheered on from afar. "Nice! It looks soooo cool!" Of course, neither of the quirk haters seemed to agree. "Ugh, look at this freak showing off his abnormality!"

Of course, the thug began to get a bit worried upon seeing his partner's bat do nothing to that monstrosity the man summoned. He then looked at Kenshin. Did this brat have a freak ability too? Either way, the thug was determined to take the kid out. He was dodging the man's bat so far, but the brat couldn't dodge forever.

After a few swings, Kenshin finally got hit. He was knocked down to the ground, but thankfully managed to avoid the nail in the bat. The thug that hit him began laughing. "Ha! You talk a big game, but at the end of the day, you're just a shitty little kid!"

As the thug kicked Kenshin, the spider girl began to scream. "NO! Leave him alone, you bully!" The thug then glared at the scared girl. "Shut up, you bitch freak! Or do you want some, too?"

As the thug began to make his way to the spider girl to beat her with his bat, Kenshin could see the look of fear in her multiple eyes. NO! Kenshin's rage reached a breaking point. "Don't you fucking dare touch her!"

Getting up, Kenshin activated his quirk. Transform!

The green grid of lines instantly began to cover the boy's body. His red armor materialized on top of the grid. The sunglasses-like visor covered his eyes, and the white hair-like cape extended out from the back of the boy's helmet. Kenshin was now the armored vigilante Red Edge, and he was ready to both protect the spider-head girl and kick some idiot ass!

Dashing at moped speed, Kenshin rushed over to the girl, getting in front of her to intercept the thug's oncoming bat swing. The thug was surprised at how fast Kenshin had made it in front of him, and he was even more shocked to see that his bat was like nothing to the armored boy.

Kenshin then raised his right hand and focused on it. The thug looked horrified as he saw the hand transform into a red blade made of hard light. "Wh-what? Just what the hell are you, you freak?!"

Kenshin merely smiled as he delivered his pre-ass-kicking one-liner. "I'm the 'freak' who's gonna kick your ass to the ground." Genzu didn't need to worry about him anymore. He could focus on beating up the other thug.

Meanwhile, the thug who was fighting Genzu looked horrified. "Sh-shit!" He was starting to think that messing with these people was a massive mistake. He had no idea just how right he was.

The thug fighting Kenshin glared at him. "Don't get cocky with me, boy! I won't fall so easily!" He did not care if this brat had a freaking sword for a hand, but there was no way that he would lose to a measly little kid in a fight!

He was then immediately proven wrong. As he swung his bat towards Kenshin, the armored boy parried it with very little effort. A bat wasn't a sword, but it was close enough. It was clear that Kenshin was far more skilled with his weapon than the thug was with his bat. After blocking the bat, Kenshin moved it aside and used the opening he created to kick the thug to the ground.

As the thug groaned on the ground, Kenshin smirked. "You were saying?"

Meanwhile, the other thug was getting his ass handed to him by Goliath. He was simply no match at all. It was over in seconds. To call it a battle would have been very misleading. All this thug could do was try in vain to struggle against Goliath's hold on him. He could only watch as his bat was kicked away from him.

"Oi, Sharp! We're getting wrecked by these freaks!" The other thug, whose name or alias was apparently Sharp, growled at his partner. "Shut up, Flat! What are you, a bitch? We're not losing to freaks, got it?!"

Upon seeing Sharp get back up and Flat continue to struggle, Kenshin sighed. They were persistent as hell, but it was clear that these fools were just all bark and no bite. These idiots needed to be put in their place and see just how useless it was to fight back.

Just as Sharp tried to reach for his bat on the ground, Kenshin dashed towards him as fast as he could. Swatting the man aside with the blunt part of his sword, Kenshin then stomped on the wooden bat. Sharp watched in horror as his wooden bat was crushed under the armored boy's foot.

"Damn you freaks! You'll pay for that!"

Meanwhile, the spider girl was just amazed at the two quirk users. They were so awesome! Seeing them in action inspired the girl. She wanted to help, too! She should not let anyone push her around any more! No one had the right to bully her or make fun of her just because her head was a giant spider! She had enough of that!

She then watched in horror as the thug named Sharp suddenly began to pull out a gun! No! Those thugs already ruined enough! Angrily, the spider girl began to regurgitate and produce sticky silk. Shaping it into a long sticky thread, she hoped that it would be ready in time before the thug hurt Kenshin or Genzu.

"Ha! What do you think now, freak? You think your armor will save you from my gun?" Crap! Kenshin was pissed off that he did not see this coming. He didn't actually know whether bullets could penetrate his armor, since he had not yet faced off against criminals with guns. He also did not want to have to find out the hard way.

"Stay right there! Don't move a damn muscle! If you try anything, I'll shoot you! And you!" Sharp then pointed his gun at Genzu. "Have that abomination release my partner! Right now, or else!" Flat began to laugh. "Yeah, you tell them, Sharp! No one messes with us and gets away with it, especially not freaks!"

As Kenshin began to grit his teeth, he noticed spider girl was up to something. Was she making some sort of web or string? Kenshin realized that Sharp had not noticed what she was doing just yet. Perhaps her plan was to ensnare him while he was distracted. Perfect! All he needed to do was distract the thugs so they wouldn't catch on to what spider girl was up to.

He just hoped that Genzu also noticed, so he could help out as well.

Kenshin was surprised upon hearing Genzu basically taunt Sharp with that gun. He didn't seem afraid of getting shot. This man must have balls and nerves of steel or something. Damn, what a badass! Kenshin thought.

Sharp was also surprised. "What is this? You have a death wish, you dumbass?! You think you can pull some reverse psychology crap on me? You idiot! Don't think for a second that I won't hesitate to shoot your freak ass down! Now I won't say it again. Release my partner, or get some lead on that thick skull of yours!"

Kenshin began to notice it. In his rage, Sharp seemed to be losing control. There might have also been some doubts and worries going through Sharp's mind as he wondered if Genzu actually had a trick up his sleeve for the bullet. Regardless, Sharp hesitated. In that small opening, Kenshin decided to capitalize on the thug's hesitation.

Rushing in as fast as he could, Kenshin made his way towards Sharp. Sharp noticed Kenshin's approach, but it was too late. Just as he moved his gun towards the armored boy to aim, Kenshin slashed at the man's hand. Now, Sharp did not know that Kenshin's sword could not actually decapitate the man's hand. However, he did not know that, and thus decided to not risk it. He let go of the gun and got his hand out of the way just in time.

Seeing his gun get knocked away by Kenshin's sword, Sharp growled as he pulled out a pocket knife. Kenshin sighed. Just how many weapons did this guy have?

Meanwhile, the spider girl was almost ready with her sticky threads. She just needed another minute to finish it. Come on, please hang in there! I'm almost done!

Sharp began to run towards the gun on the floor. Kenshin saw what the thug was trying to do and got there first. He smirked as he kicked the gun away from Sharp's reach. "What's the matter? Need your gun to deal with a kid?"

In his anger, Sharp's attacks were getting more sloppy and predictable. Kenshin was easily able to read Sharp's attacks and either dodge or parry with little effort. It was clear that Sharp had not received any form of training. Considering that Kenshin was trained by his mother, who had spent years training to beat down on criminals, the teen had an overwhelming advantage against the thug.

Just as Kenshin knocked the man's knife out of his hands, spider girl was finally ready. She took aim at the thug, and then yelled out to Kenshin. "Out of the way, now!" Kenshin kicked Sharp to the floor and then moved out of the way. Before Sharp had a chance to get up, spider girl shot at him with her thick sticky strings of web. The string wrapped around the thug, binding and restraining him. Sharp was horrified as he was being encased in a cocoon of sticky silk. His entire body became encased, leaving only his head exposed.

"Ew, what the fuck is this?! How dare you touch me with this nasty shit, you disgusting..." Before he could finish speaking, the strings wrapped around his mouth, shutting him up. Spider girl turned to Kenshin. "Sorry, I probably should have covered his dirty mouth first." Kenshin chuckled. "Yeah, that would have helped immensely. Still, you did just fine."

Once Sharp was completely restrained, Kenshin and the spider girl made their way to Flat to restrain him as well. Between Genzu, Goliath, Kenshin, and spider girl, Flat knew he was outmatched. He didn't even bother resisting at this point, knowing that doing so was useless.

Finally, the craziness was over.

Kenshin sighed. Finally, it was all over. The two thugs were restrained, spider girl was now calling the police on her phone, and most importantly, no one had gotten hurt. That was a win for the boy.

With his transformation about to run out anyway, Kenshin pressed on the emblem on his chest, instantly ending the transformation. The armor began to dematerialize, leaving behind the grid of green lines covering Kenshin's body. Then the grid itself disappeared, reverting Kenshin back to normal.

"Damn! Genzu, you were cold as ice! The thug had a gun on you, and you didn't even flinch! I'm glad I got to fight alongside a certified badass!" Kenshin smiled. He may prefer fighting alone, but he didn't mind kicking butt alongside Genzu again one day.

Then, spider girl ran up to the two of them. "Both of you were so amazing! You two are heroes! Thank you both so much!" She hugged Genzu tightly, and then kissed Kenshin on the cheek. Having never been kissed by a girl before (no, his mother doesn't count), Kenshin's face became redder than his armor.

Kenshin then noticed that spider girl had been watching over his bass guitar. Picking it up, Kenshin took the bass out of its case and held it in his hands. "I have to thank you as well! You helped keep my instrument safe, and more importantly, you helped restrain these morons. You're just as much of a hero as Genzu and I, if not more so."

Smiling, Kenshin put his hand on her shoulder. "I could tell that you were scared. Being able to act the way you did despite that fear. That's something only a real hero could do." Smiling and blushing, spider girl shook her head. "Nah, I was only able to overcome my fear because I was inspired by seeing you two badasses in action. I knew I just had to help out!"

As Kenshin began to play a few notes on his bass, he looked over to Genzu. "It's a shame those two idiots ruined the fun time we were having. Still, we can play a few more songs together, if you like. I wanted to play for our spider friend here to thank her for helping us out. What do you say?"

Spider girl beamed at the idea of listening to more music. But then she noticed that Kenshin didn't refer to her by name. "Aah, I'm so sorry! With everything that happened, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Kumoko! A pleasure to meet you both!"

As he waited for the police to arrive to take Flat and Sharp away, and as thanks to Kumoko, Kenshin began playing a song on his bass guitar. Kumoko's spider face was full of joy. She was glad that the trouble was over and the awesome music was back.

Notes: Yay, I finally thought of a name for spider girl! And yay, more music!

Kenshin's smile faltered a bit when Genzu asked if he was in UA. Ugh, that place! Ever since Kenshin applied for UA and got rejected, he could not get that school out of his mind. His lifelong dream was to follow in his mother's footsteps of protecting the people and using his quirk to do good. UA seemed like a logical step to take, as unlike his mother, Kenshin would have been able to be officially recognized as a hero. Sadly, UA for whatever reason chose not to accept the boy. Failure always left a bitter taste in his mouth, and not being accepted into UA was no different.

"No, I'm not at UA. I like to think I don't need a hero school to do good. I see myself more as an unofficial hero. I suppose I would be considered a vigilante." Kenshin would not go into any more detail than that. Kumoko seemed shocked upon hearing this. "A vigilante? For real? Well I don't care what others see you as! You'll always be a true hero to me!" Hearing her say those words brought the smile back on Kenshin's face. "Thanks, Kumoko. I really appreciate hearing that."

As he began to play the song on his bass, Kenshin smiled when he heard Genzu play his ukulele. The bass guitar was a wonderful instrument on its own, but it really shined when it helped compliment the sound of another instrument. That's what Kenshin liked about the bass. Just like a hero, a bass was great on its own, but was even better when paired with other instruments.

As soon as the song ended, Kumoko applauded and cheered loudly. "You two are awesome! I know that one day, you two will be the best. Keep it up!" Gee, this girl sure knew how to keep Kenshin smiling! "Thank you!"

Ah, it seemed that Genzu only had time for one song. He seemed to want to leave before the police arrived. Kenshin wondered why. Did he have some sort of trouble with the police in the past? Was he also a vigilante? Or was it something completely unrelated? Kenshin decided not to ask Genzu about it. He probably had his reasons.

Before Genzu left, Kenshin approached him and shook his hand. "Thank you again, for the awesome ukulele playing and for helping me kick these thugs' asses. I'd be happy to do this again some time."

Kenshin began to walk away. Seeing as he was a vigilante, it was probably not the best idea for him to stay around when the cops came. Before heading out, Kenshin turned to face Genzu one last time. "See you around, Genzu. If you ever want to kick some more criminal ass, I'm always in the neighborhood." He then waved. "Red Edge, out!"

As he passed Kumoko, he smiled at her. "Take care, all right? And stay tough. If anyone calls you a freak or treats you horribly because of your appearance, don't be afraid. Stand up to them. Those idiots don't know how great you are. Show them who's badass!" Tears filled up the girl's multiple eyes as she smiled. "Oh, thank you! I will. Someday, I'll be as awesome and badass as you and Genzu!" She couldn't help but run up to Kenshin and hug him tightly with both her arms and her spider legs. She then planted another kiss on Kenshin's cheek. Once again, Kenshin blushed, his face burning hot and red.

After letting Kenshin go, Kumoko smiled as she spoke. "Don't worry about the police. I'll talk with them. Go do your duties as a hero!" Kenshin nodded, taking his stuff with him and heading out. "Right!"
