Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures Doing an obstacle run sounded rather pleasing for the first ten minutes of it. While Naoru wasn’t exactly a speedster, his acrobatic ability was rather good to complete the military obstacle run they had set in the combat area. Jumping and climbing walls with fluid movements was something easy because of how light he was on his feet. When he first completed the run with a rather average time, he wasn’t exactly happy, but the nearest instructor still told him that average meant good. Before he knew, he was asked to complete the same run again, this time using his quirk so they could see the difference it made. He was only a tad bit iffy about showing his white shroud, but seeing that the whole point of this place was to observe how different quirkers were, he did as he was told. With his Aura out and assuming the form of a white wraith, showing his bodily mutation to the world, he ran the course a second time. The instructor was surprised his time was barely different. Naoru wasn’t. His mutation was active even when it was not visible, so he wouldn’t be particularly quicker with it out. What it helped though, was that he could use the Aura to grab the obstacles and pull himself onto walls instead of using his regular limbs. It must have been a sight, the white Aura arm and the ropes he made would shoot out and grab handles further away to pull himself ahead. His time would have been better if he didn’t miss the last of the handles to grab, and if he didn’t crash right into a pile of wood set to the side as part of the obstacle course itself. Naoru was ready to bury himself further under the pile of wood out of embarrassment for missing such an easy target and colliding with an obstacle, but his crash must have alarmed a few people enough to rush to him and gather him up. He was ready to wave them aside and pull himself away from their grasps, but they were insistent. He flinched, pulled his shoulders up. He was strung like a tightened rope, ready to snap as the two personnel that was around him seemed to be too concerned to notice his discomfort for their closeness and physical contact. One of them was still holding onto his right arm – he noticed they were staying as far away from his left, mutated and clawed arm as possible – and for some unknown reason they weren’t willing to let go. His smile was polite as he tried to get his arm free, reassuring the two men that he was perfectly fine and the crash was louder compared to what harm it did, but through his embarrassed mumbling and his nervous focus in getting away, he was barely able to notice a few words they were saying. He only started paying attention to what they were saying when he caught the words “blood” and “arm” in the same sentence, and looked down at his right arm, still carefully held by the soldier. Oh.Either he might be getting more and more used to feeling pain, or adrenaline was dampening his senses, but he had not noticed he was injured until it was pointed out. He was wearing his summer U.A. uniform under his Aura, and since his quirk was last focused on forming ropes and shooting out, his arm was left open. His lower arm was sporting a rather long, although not too deep gash on its outer side from elbow to wrist. He suspected a sharper edge from the woodpile was the culprit that cut so well into his flesh, but while it stung, it was really not as painful as the military personnel was fussing about it, but it was bleeding a fair amount. “I-I am alright, it will heal soon. It does not hurt much.” He tried to reassure them as politely as possible, still trying to get his arm free, getting more and more uncomfortable by the prolonged physical contact. As his struggles were finally noticed and he was let go, he pulled his arm close to his side while his Aura settled around his shoulder and upper body, forming a makeshift bolero while leaving his lower arm and the injury open. They insisted that he should go to the medical camp and get the injury looked at, at least. Naoru gulped. That sounded like the worst idea he had heard in a while. He needed out. Someone needed to get him out of here, and preferably further away from the possibility of meeting any doctors. words: 779 Kirk Bluster it starts at an obstacle course, but will migrate to the medical side MADE BY VEL OF GS

There was loud gasping and grunting happening close to the obstacle course. There was a quite reddish form there, laying on the dusty ground, occasionally scratching its chest, like some sort of malformed ape. occasionally it seemed to rustle and shout "yeah!" excitedly. The words "Record" and "Broken" also flew about. However, soon enough someone came to check up on this weird creature. The guy with generic army patterned pants poked the big fellow on the side, as he got the boys attention with the boys eyes looking up. "You know, if you want to cooldown, there is an actual bench over there." The boy widened his eyes a bit in worry. "Nah... just a quickie! Gonna get back to... running soon enough!" "Well, you are making some people think you are having a heart attack..." "OH!" The boy hopped back onto his legs, as he proceeded over to one of the benches on the side. "This one right?" The official nodded, and went her own way.
At this point, Most of Kirks time was spent on the obstacle course. It was almost like a drug! The boy could literally give himself a full body work out just by running the same thing around for an hour! And all that without needing guidance! He couldn`t have been more content... he grabbed a water bottle from his back, and chugged a bit of it, as he could feel the liquid flowing through his body. Albeit it tasted shaken. Admittedly, if there was one thing he could whine about, was that summer was making it decently hard for him to do it for longer... He was already tapping his foot on the ground whilst he was supposed to be taking a break. He was in the zone! He had broken his previous record! He wanted to try again! But his butt didn`t want to lift a muscle... He groaned.
However, his position wasn`t that bad. It allowed him to look at the other triers of the course. It was almost like watching something like football, but instead, everybody was playing a single player game! Doing it in their own interesting ways! Some were just going in dry, while some were mixing in their quirks to make more interesting and effective... he opened the bag on his back again... and sighed. Must be fun having a quirk that could be trained on its own like that... wonder if he could swing from the ropes with it like a monkey with its tail? Kirk couldn`t help but scratch his head like a monkey. He would propably look like a ragdoll... besides, the pouch might snap from the seams and that was not fun...
However, his sights were caught by a certain familiar looking dude. The whitish hair was still that eye catching, although what was even more eyecatching, was this white energy he was emanating from himself! Just using that to climb obstacles and run... It took a moment for him to combine a memory from class, with the looks of an atleast usually kind of meek boy. "Naoru?!" He said aloud. The dude look so much different on the move. Now that he thought about it, Darren had called this bro an absolute beast when you get him mad but... who would get mad doing something like this on their own? Heck, Kirk was doing it and enjoying a heck out of it! However as Naoru continued running, Kirk saw the guy taking time for him. Pfeh, that makes sense. Must have been the sort to push him around. Maybe he should go give him a word. Or maybe just encourage Naoru, that wouldn`t get him in trouble!
...Just as he thought that, Naoru smacked straight into the pile of logs with such a thud that Kirk couldn`t help but visibly cringe, with his face contorting apologetically. "Ooooh...!" That must have hurt pretty bad. And in comical fashion, he seemed to drop down like used snotrag. Yup! It definitely must have hurt! Although the dude was standing up, so he must have been decently fine.
Although for a moment it seemed like a bunch of officials were trying to bully him. Maybe because he had forgot to climb over the obstacle? Army generals were weird like that when it came down to insults. Naoru himself seemed as awkward as ever. As much as he liked the dude for his smarts and coolness in handling people... he needed some guts. A strong dude needed to be able to say "I don`t take this stuff from you!" Kind of like Darren, but a bit nicer in wording! Thats how his grandpa would have liked it! Man, the people were outright being grabby with him. Was everything alright? They weren`t bullying him were they?! Kirk outright hopped on his legs. He was not gonna let his friend get in trouble for accidentally running into something! That`s what he did all the time!
"Hey, BRO!" He shouted towards the folks near him, almost in an intimidating fashion. After all, the best way to scare bullies, was them knowing they werent alone! "I`ve got him, no worries! Things like this happen in sports!" The duo was giving each other weird looks, as Kirk gave a pat on Naorus shoulder. "But we sports dudes, we keep moving! We strong like that!" He seemingly started leading him away from them, slowly pushing him forwards. "So don`t you worry, we got this!"
After getting a semi safe range away from the army folks, Kirk wiped sweat of his forehead. "Man, those instructors ruin all the fun!" Whining so much when you get something wrong." Now that they were on their twosome, he felt like he could say a bit more lax things. He proceeded to pat him strongly on the back. "But you were real cool while you being in the zone lasted, dude!" It was always cool seeing his pals being sporty, but this guy had put some real effort in! Remind him of Tetsuko somewhat! "The way you just slung yourself forward with that aura stuff! I would have almost called that cheating if it didn`t look so cool, you know!" However, there was one thing that caused his eyes to turn towards the arm he had wrapped in the aura... He could swear it looked a bit red.
"Whats up with your arm?"

Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures Being pestered by military personnel was one thing, but being pestered to go and see a doctor was another. The instructors around probably felt the responsibility if a minor was injured in the facilities, but Naoru really saw no need to be as worried as these two seemed to be. He especially wanted them to stop crowding him, because going to the medic camp will be the last of his worries if he hyperventilates from physical contact instead. He was just a tad bit relieved when the officials drew back, but another voice and presence joined the fray and he was patted on the shoulder, which he tried to automatically avoid but failed. He flinched, but the person who showed up was actually familiar, what more, he was a classmate. “Bluster-kun.” Naoru gaped, wondering how small the world was to meet with a classmate and a seat neighbor on top of it. He was pretty much swept away by Kirk’s insistent reassurance that everything will be alright, walking away from the soldiers. In a safe distance, Naoru turned toward his classmate, holding his right elbow with his left hand. Just what was Kirk doing here? No, that was probably a silly question. Everyone was here to train and try their luck with the military methods, that much was obvious. So it is more of a question of why was the boy helping him? “They were just worried.” Naoru said when the other was complaining about how the instructors were whining. He looked down, wondering if they were actually mad at him for missing such an easy obstacle and injuring himself in the process. His Aura flared just a tad bit from worry, but it settled back down as if nothing happened, gaining the appearance of white cloth around his torso once more. Upon receiving the strong pats on the back, Naoru winced visibly from pain. U-oh. His right shoulder was throbbing painfully, indicating that maybe the gash on his lower arm wasn’t the only injury he received. It is okay, maybe he can still bullshit his way out of seeing a doctor with this. He almost missed the praise that was coming from this classmate, and he frowned, instead of giving a smile, as a response. “No, I... That was just practice. It was not anything, least of all cool.” He crashed in the end as well, so Kirk must have a rather weird meaning for the word “cool”. Or he was just trying to be nice, which was really incredibly kind of him. “Cheating? I mean, I did use my body, so it was not really cheating... Or was it?” He looked up, a bit worried. Since the Aura was a part of him, a part of his mutation, he figured it was natural he would use it. He couldn’t not use it. “They did ask me to use my quirk, but maybe I should not have...” His question wasn’t really a question even though he worded it as such. “What’s up with your arm?”Came the inquiry, and Naoru visibly flinched, turning his body so his right, injured side would be hidden from Kirk’s sight. His lower arm was already covered by blood that was steadily flowing from the gash, but it wasn’t really serious. It was just bleeding a bit much, that’s all. Nothing serious. Really. However, the movement also caused his shoulder to twist, which earned another painful wince from him. His Aura would try and cover his arm as much as possible to hide it from plain sight. “The wall just scratched it a little bit, please do not worry about it.” He smiled at Kirk, angling his body further away from the taller boy. “Are you here to train, Bluster-kun? I do hope you broke military records somewhere and put them all to shame.” He changed the topic quickly. “I think I will sit the next round out and maybe continue the course later.” Smoothly, the excluded himself from the next few rounds in hopes that his arm would get better, and maybe his own healing would ease some of the pain in the meantime. Kirk was obviously working out not long before he attempted to save Naoru from the soldiers, and he had to wonder what exactly the boy was doing. He knew of his quirk, and he knew it wasn’t fit for combat. However, Kirk was a sportsman, fit and healthy, so he wouldn’t be surprised if he could stand on equal grounds with military personnel. “I will definitely watch and root for you if you decide to compete somewhere.”MADE BY VEL OF GS

Kirk couldn`t help but grin and wink, as Naoru recognized him. Dude didn`t have anything to worry about. He could very soon get back to doing sporty things without needing to worry about the army people having something to say about doing something wrong. Although, after going the safe distance, Naoru did point out, that they were propably just worried. This just prompted Kirk to shrug. "Pfft, like they had anything to be worried about!" After his brief showing, Kirk knew Naoru was moderately tough. Some weaker dude would have propably just gotten completely knocked out from bumping into the log wall at full speeds, but not his classmate! He was tougher than most! He could handle that sort of thing simply by shrugging off, just like he himself would propably! Although, he couldn`t help but look at him in a bit worried fashion, when he vinced from his pats. "Sorry dude!" Had he pat him too hard?
Naoru in a classically meek fashion didn`t exactly feel proud about himself looking cool. "Yeah yeah, all in a days work, right?" Guess the guy had a big higher standards for what counted as "looking cool". Guess that sort of thing happens when your quirk is a bit higher level. "Come on man, you run like a wolf from one of em girl flicks! Its gotta be atleast some sort of cool!" It might not be exactly as efficient as Kirks usual running, but it was way more feral and attention grabbing! ...Maybe that`s why he wasn`t too excited. He was trying to get more efficient!
The more curious question was, when Naoru wondered what he meant by cheating. Kirk outright stared at him a bit, before looking away in the distance, quickly looking back towards him. "Well uh... Kind of beats the whole point of working out if you don`t use your own muscles for it you know?" Admittedly, it was hard for him even normally to wrap his head around how some of these more "overtly useful" quirks worked when it came to ones body. For Kirk, it was as simple as the man himself: He just had a literal extra pile of muscle and bone to work on his back, with its own muscles to work out into shape and overall structure to understand, the latter still being a bit of a mystery for even him. Comparatively, Naoru just seemed to spew white aura all over himself in all sorts of weird shapes, like some sort of socks. Admittedly, he did move with it around himself, but Kirk couldn`t help but admit one thing. "Sometimes it looks like your quirk is doing the carrying! Although that just shows how cool it is!" However, when Naoru implied he shouldnt have used his quirk, Kirk kind of took it back. "Nah, you do you man! We all work out in our own way!"
However, when it came to him asking about Naorus arm, Even a simpler man like Kirk noticed him almost covering away from him, wrapping more aura around it. However, Naoru just asked him to ignore it. The problem is, when somebody tells somebody else to ignore something specifically, they tend to get naturally more curious about it. "Scratched, huh?" With the amount of aura he was wrapping around his arm, It started to look more like a giant plaster. Guess despite being so sure in action, he was still kind of meek in getting hurt... Although he winced again. Kirk twisted his head a bit down towards the left. Somebody with a wild imagination could propably see a question mark made out of clouds manifesting over it too.
However, the guy succesfully got Kirk to think about something completely different! "Nah, bro! I don`t do that sort of records. Dunno what those guys would count as the "correct way"! Buuuut...!" He outright seemed to hop into a pose, where his chest was almost rippling with the amount of pride he was shining. "I did beat my PERSONAL record! By 3 full seconds too!" Albeit, he had been a sweaty heap of breathing for a little while afterwards, but that just meant that the workout was working! He knocked his chest with his fist with a wide smile slapped across his face! "And I thought this place was gonna be horrible! Would you even believe that!" He really didn`t regret coming here anymore!
However, as Naoru sat down lulling his arm on his lap, Kirk suddenly came upon an epiphany of some kind... He had pushed himself a lot in that last try, so he was outright tired. Naoru had naturally hit a wall in a similar situation! AND he kept on wincing about the littlest movements... AND he had apparently gotten cuts on his arm for running into the wall that hurt! So naturally, Kirk could come up with one natural reason!
"I get it now! You are experiencing growth pains!"
It made complete sense! When he was a kid, training his body, he had been hurting horribly too after some days! His grandpa had been surprisingly enough proud of him about it too! "You must have just torn some muscle or something inside of your arm or something! Gotta let the muscle grow back up!" But Kirk felt a little bit bad just leaving a guy whose workout was stopped so suddenly alone just sitting and staring at him. His hand went up to his chin, as he thought about some sort of compromise that wouldn`t hurt his arm... "If you want, we could still work on your legs! And I know one thing that you can always do without moving your arms!" He squatted a couple of times in front of him, to demonstrate, as his arms just sat on his hips!
Then again, there was one more option. "That, or I just rub the spot with the broken muscle in it. My grandpa did that to my legs, and I felt a lot better the next day! We could maybe race a bit afterwards!" Admittedly, he had never done it before, but it was just squeezing the body parts that you wanted to work on right? Besides, with his strength, he would be bound to get deep enough press into it. "Just get that aura out of the way, and I`ll get to work!" He cracked his fingers momentarily, and wiggled them, almost menacingly as he walked towards Naoru and his shoulders.

Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures Naoru had to admit he had no idea what Kirk meant when he went about how cool Naoru indeed was during the run. There was nothing cool about the collision or the way he stumbled and tried to use his Aura, and the increasing frown was a telltale sign of how disappointed he was with his performance. And on top of it all, Kirk’s praise had the exact opposite effect on him. He wasn’t feeling at all better from it, only worse. His classmate kept praising him for his abilities, and Naoru would keep refusing it all the time. Oh. Now that he thought about it, Naoru must have appeared rather rude... Kirk’s quirk was actually one very unfitting for combat, and decidedly one quite misfit for hero course in general, and yet Naoru was the one having low self-esteem. From Kirk’s point of view that must be either a rather egotistic, or just a plain asshole-y attitude. His mood deep-dived. He really, really hoped he wasn’t disrespectful when Kirk showed so much care. He swallowed, and decided to try and be as polite as he possibly could. He thought about how it wouldn’t count as a workout if he wasn’t using his own body and his own muscles during exercise. He frowned again, almost cutting in Kirk’s sentence to correct him, but decided to close his mouth instead. Was it really cheating? The Aura was a part of his body, but he supposed others wouldn’t really understand that. About ninety percent of his acquaintances didn’t even know he was actually a mutation type, so that was probably a part of it. He just looked down, slightly ashamed as if Kirk was telling him off for using his quirk during a run that was supposed to be purely physical. The Aura around his shoulders shuddered a little bit, waving like the ocean during the wind of an incoming storm. He was getting confused if Kirk was okay with Naoru using his quirk or not, as the next thing he said it was all fine, as they were all different when it came to physical exercise. Naoru blinked. That was not at all confusing. Sarcasm implying it was. So he just hummed, and left it at that. He angled his body away from his classmate, and he could literally see that question mark forming above the boy’s head. An emergency saving was in order, and Naoru did everything in his knowledge to divert the conversation to a safer route, preferably far away from his own problems. Luckily for him, it seemed like his classmate either had a short attention span, or was just really excitable, as he immediately took the bait and continued the conversation where Naoru steered it. “Whoa, really? Nice, congratulations!” Naoru smiled when Kirk mentioned beating his personal record. “It is always best to go at our own pace, you are right about that. Maybe it is for the better that we do not know what the military records are.” He laughed at Kirk’s enthusiastic cheer. The boy certainly was energetic and full of happiness. As he sat down on one of the benches and placed his hands next to himself on the wood, he watched Kirk curiously. He was idly wondering what was going on in the head of his classmate while training in the military camp, when he heard the most illogical sounding conclusion ever. “G-growth pain?” The sputtered, nearly falling off the bench out of surprise. That... that sounded so incredibly silly that Naoru hid his face in his hand and groaned. No, he mustn’t retort in a rude way, he would have to correct the boy as nicely as possible, but he couldn’t do that without revealing that his injury was a bit more serious than he tried to play it off. Is this what people call a Devil’s trap? There was no good way out of this one. “Ah, no, I think I will be alright just resting a little bit.” He held up his uninjured left hand in protest when Kirk insisted he could go on and train his legs if his arms are too tired or weak to continue right now. Naoru wasn’t exactly fit for prolonged physical activity, or more like, he didn’t like to train in the same way other people or quirkless human liked. He was more of a think first, act later kind of person, and liked to develop versatility instead of working out a sweat. Even he could admit that training the body was important, but everything had its limit! Especially him! His head shot up in alarm at the suggestion of a rub, and he leaned as far away from Kirk while sitting as possible. “No, nonono, that is not necessary, I am fine!” He ignored the little nervous crack in his voice, and as Kirk crept closer, he stood up and backed away from the boy, holding his right shoulder protectively. “I really do appreciate your concern, but there is no need to worry about me. WAH!” Just as he was backing away, he also ungracefully tripped and fell on his back with a loud THUMP and an “Ow!”. But still, as soon as he recovered from the fall, he sat back up and backed a little away again. “Bluster-kun, I am really bad with other people touching me, so please, do not concern yourself with a massage.” That was as honest as he could get about his problem. But from his fall, now even his Aura on the lower part of his arm was tainted by blood as it tried to cover his wound. That would be the last of his worried though, if Kirk decided to casually touch him. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Man, Naoru definitely wasn`t like the other dudes, that was for certain. Most of his pals liked being praised to high heaven, and usually there was a reason for it too. However, even though Naoru had a good reason to feel a bit proud even with the awkward finish... He was just getting smaller and smaller. It was almost like Kirk was taking all the air out of him, as he just tried to hide under his aura smoke that he was exhuding. It was very hard for Kirk to process, since whenever there weren`t people with him he was his proper image of a smart and leader type of dude! He looked cool, sounded cool, and had people like him too, Kirk included! So why was he so scared, whenever people showed that outwards?! Kirk didn`t get it...
What he did sorta get though, was that the overt flapping of his aura usually meant he was distraught. It almost gave him the perfect thing to look out for when things got annoying for him, like a big red flag. Kind of like hearing his grandpa grumbling, while clacking his teeth together. It meant backing off! Whilst, like always, a dude smiling meant that he was allowed to go forward with whatever he wanted to say! H And luckily that sort of topic turned out to be Naoru praising HIM for his achievements instead! Kirk loved getting attention in achievements from people, and this was not an exception! It was also nice to hear that he seemingly agreed with him! "Pffft, never thought I would be happy about seeing Junko again! Atleast she doesn`t breathe down your neck, while you are trying to get into the zone!" He flexed a little bit, lifting his arm and pressing the bicep high. "Besides, I hope I don`t look like the sort of person that would need help with knowing how to train their bod!" If only that pesky pouch on his back was easier to train... But what could he really do with it? Carry more things in it maybe? He scratched his back with a brief glance towards it. Of course, it was already strong enough to push him off the ground, so it was something...
Naoru was way less than enthusiastic about what Kirk was suggesting, but Kirk just nodded his head furiously. "Well, muscle pains you know! The stuff that makes a nerd into a jock and jock into a... uh...!" He turned his head away to think, as he snapped his fingers! "A HERO!" Kirk actually clapped his hands together. "You should be excited! Means that you are getting results!" That`s the sort of words his grandpa gave him to push him forward with his training! He himself however was pushing closer and closer towards Naoru, with his fingers waggling menacingly. This actually gave him a chance to check the dude a bit closer. Maybe he could even find out if there really was some muscle on those arms! It seemed unlikely with a quirk like his, but the dude had surprised him before so this might not be the only thing! "Come on dude! It`s on me! No harm done!" With Kirks muscular curiousity at its absolute heighest, he didn`t even notice him slowly backing away in his seat, until the inevitable effect of gravity made Naoru fall right off from it, with kirk actually flinching!
He gripped on the bench and looked over it. "S-Sorry dude! You alright?!" His voice rose in volume a bit, clearly worried. He had gone perhaps a bit too far! Although the guy did seem to just get to a sitting position without any trouble whatsoever. Only problem he seemingly had with it was touching... "Yeeeah, that makes sense." His head nodded to the side a bit, as he closed his eyes and rubbed his head. Of course he couldn`t just go roughhouse somebody to check things out. The guy was hurt for hecks sake, he would just make the situation worse. There was already blood on his arm and everything...
Wait... blood? Kirks eyes audibly slapped open all of a sudden, as his eyes glared towards his arm... Yep, the hint of redness he had before had now outright turned into a clear blood splatter!
...And Kirk made a connection that made him clearly a bit stiff. "Oh dangit!" He actually hopped over the bench to look at Naoru proper. "I`m sorry dude! This is my bad! Completely!" He was looking at him all sorts of worried but wasn`t getting too close for comfort "I just got a bit too excited is all!" The scratch he must have had must have been on real thin skin or something for it to rip open from such a fall! And now Kirk was all confuddled about what to do! He couldn`t outright grab him, cause Naoru had just pretty much asked him not to do so, yet he couldn`t call the army dudes either. They would be even worse in the whole touchy department! Honestly, it was a pretty painful situation for him, with his face contorting as he just pressed his index fingers together like an awkward kid.
A proper bro in a situation like this would have propably ripped off the sleeve from his shirt and offered it for them to wrap whatever wound they had with it but... well, kirk had just his t-shirt. And with how awkward he was with just touching, giving him his shirt would propably make him just more awkward. "You alright? not hurting or anything?" Naoru did seem he like he wasn`t in too much pain. Of course, it could have just been a simple bruise, but those don`t usually bleed this much. "Ugh, if only we had a bandage or something... Wouldn`t exactly be nice to bleed all over you know..."and suddenly a light bulb popped up! "There is a nurses office! I could just carry you over there, and we can get it fixed in a jiffy!" He was already starting to open his pouch up. "Consider it a proper apology from me!"

Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures It seemed like praising Kirk was the prefect topic to derail the conversation with, and all it needed was for Naoru to be honest. He really admired Kirk for his bravery and enthusiasm, and really, this boy needed as much praise as he could get. “Junko? Do you mean our teacher?” Naoru wondered out loud and tilted his head to the side just a little bit. Did they know each other before? “You certainly seem capable enough to train yourself. And I think you might be among the ones who are completely aware of what his body needs. Many of us are still trying to figure that part out, it feels like.” But then again, Kirk probably needed to figure out a few things about himself as well. Naoru, for example, was already thinking about how the boy could expand the usage of that pouch on his back that was his quirk. Certainly he could do more than just to carry things in it, but it was still a mystery. There was another thing he needed to admit, namely that Kirk’s logic was a little hard to follow for him. Turning a nerd into a jock and a jock into a hero...? He looked down, somewhat confused. “Can a nerd not turn into a hero without first being a jock...?” It was more of a rhetorical question rather than something that was awaiting an answer, but that probably wouldn’t stop Kirk from giving his opinion anyway. But his current predicament was getting more and more complicated by the moment as Kirk was getting closer and he was backing away. Does no one know the sanctity of personal space among his acquaintances??? But with his fall to the ground and his wince, it seemed like Kirk was also kicked back into a more considerate mood. Now, Naoru was feeling bad for making his classmate worry so much about him. He waved his arm to show him he was alright and there was no need worry aside from the problem with touching. Kirk seemed to be the kind to consider other people’s position more if he was told of the problem, so Naoru had to remember to be honest with him. He will need to be more open. Yeah, he could do it. Probably. He can’t fault anyone for not be aware of something when Naoru holds back information, right? Right. He closed his eyes. Maybe he can learn and be more honest about his problems in the presence of Kirk, unless he wants to have his personal space invaded. His classmate surprised him by jumping to his side, but Naoru worried for nothing as the other seemed to be mindful of keeping distance this time. He was momentarily relieved, but quickly tried to reassure the boy. “It was not your fault at all. I kind of injured myself when I fell before, during the run, that is all. Please do not worry about that.” He tried to dismiss it again despite feeling the pain catch up to him. In response to the feeling, the Aura on his right side, especially on his arm and shoulder was swaying, almost as if showing where exactly it was hurting. The Aura was made of his nerves, after all. Of course it visibly responded to pain. He felt... really bad for making Kirk worry now, especially since the boy seemed to be troubled for being unable to help him. Naoru’s face softened, after the shock of the fall and the ministration of the overly enthusiastic classmate settled. He smiled. “Thank you. But I am alright. I heal faster than others, my quirk is making sure of that.” How quick that was, he didn’t tell, but he figured it was better to tell Kirk the details so not to make him even more worried. “Um, there is a gash on my arm, but the bleeding will stop soon. My shoulder seems to be damaged too but... as I have said, it will heal, please do not worry.” But Kirk’s worry seemed to be hard to calm down. After hearing the offer to carry him to the nurse, Naoru’s calm and composed façade crumbled again, and his arm shot forward in protest to stop the other. “No!” He almost yelled, eyes wide in panic. “I-I mean...” Just how long will this go, falling from composure to panic in mere moments? Kirk was a different kind of trouble that Naoru had to get used to. Dealing with nice people seemed to be so much harder than dealing with assholes. But... he had to think about Kirk’s worry as well. It seemed like the boy won’t feel better unless Naoru is treated in some way or another. He quickly tried to regain his footing, calming down, looking to the side, and picking the butting on his shirt in a nervous tick. “Um... To be honest... I do not like doctors and hospitals... Do you think the medical camp is like a hospital?” What he meant to ask, will he panic just from walking into a medic tent? He looked up at Kirk, looking for some reassurance and comfort in the matter. He wasn’t sure if anyone knew of his problems with medical environments, so saying it out loud was hard now. “...That... sounds so silly. I apologize. Do you think you can escort me, then? I would honestly appreciate it. No carrying is needed, of course.” He looked down when asking, unsure and a little bit troubled to ask for help in this matter. Maybe if someone he knew was there, he could actually walk in and get treated. Maybe. MADE BY VEL OF GS

The amount of Praise Naoru was giving in Kirks direction felt kind of overt, taking that he had not really done anything to impress him yet. It made him feel smart almost. Like he emanated confidence! But all that feeling was momentarily pushed aside, as Naoru brought up a really good point that Kirk had not even considered. "Well, I mean... I don`t see a problem with that, I think?" After all, a smart hero was about triple as efficient as just a strong hero. But if one of those heroes ended up in a situation where muscle was needed, they would get beaten or worse... So would that mean a nerd would need to become a jock first to be effective? Nah, Naoru was kind of like a nerd here, if the quirk he had was most of his things but he was strong like a jock... Honestly he would have propably thought about it more, if the situation wasn`t what it currently was.
Now he was just concerned that his pal was gonna be alright... admittedly, Naoru was saying so many times that he was alright, that even Kirk understood it. As much as it was a relief to hear this wound wasn`t really HIS fault, it still meant that Naoru was wounded. And the fact that his aura was shaking just reinforced those thoughts that he needed something to be done! "Man, I should`ve known!" A person doesn`t just crash into something without sustaining some sort of damage. And at the speed Naoru had been going, it was a no brainer that he would be hurt! But Kirk always trusted his bros. Maybe even a little bit too much. Although it was way too late to start whining about it.
Besides, apparently his quirk was already on the job of healing it. A thing Kirk had a bit hard time believing. "You exactly sure about that? Its still bleeding you know!" He should atleast get a bandage on it. Hearing that he had maybe even hurt his shoulder, made Kirk have even harder time of not being some level of worried. He was starting to scratch his head in confusion. Honestly, the best he could offer to fix the thing quickly! With himself all warmed up and ready, it would take no time at all for him to carry him to a nurse. Heck, he could just take it as a bit harder work out, and Naoru would be as good as fixed!
But instead his reaction to him carrying him was a quite loud no, which outright made Kirk flinch a bit. Naoru was not the sort to shout so suddenly! "S-SORRY, sorry! Okay, no carrying!" He outright waved his arms downwards in a calming but exaggerated fashion! He had definitely stepped on some toes! "But what then..." He proceeded to think again, wracking his brain for ways to get Naoru to doctor without touching him whatsoever... But when a guy didn`t wanna go somewhere, it was hard to really do anything to force them to go there without grabbing them and pulling them along. But this guy was a bro! He didn`t wanna hurt him further! Honestly, he could feel his head heating up just from the difficulty of the problem.
However, than Naoru himself started asking questions about what the medical camp was like. Admittedly, Kirk had been there before! Twice in fact! However, telling him that there was a smoking nurse and that he might be stuck to a bed for a little while was not propably the most encouraging of things to get him going. So, what good could he come up with? "Well, there ain`t a lot of people there if that worries you! There is propably gonna be just one old dude checking ya out!" He thought a little bit more. "It`s more of a check-up place you know, they do quick thing and then might send you on your way!" On your way to a proper hospital if things were too serious maybe. Though if Naoru was sure that this wasn`t too serious, he shouldn`t have trouble with that right? "...Oh, ALSO! The beds there are real comfy!" Admittedly, the last one might have felt like he was trying to scrounge whatever praise he could come up with, but he wanted to be convincing!
And seemingly it was enough! He couldn`t help but clap his hands together! "Oh! Escort! Yeah! I can do that! Anything for a bro!" If Naoru just followed him, there was no trouble of Kirk touching him whatsoever! He walked in front of him and pointed in the medical tents direction. "Its over that way!" Then he took of jogging... only to realize that Naoru propably couldn`t jog with him, with how his arm was, as he jogged back. He proceeded to lift his leg, like trying to think at what pace it would be best to go at. Eventually he settled on a classic marching pace. "The quicker we get there, the quicker its over for you too, after all!"
And with that, he was off to the direction of Naoru getting proper medical attention! Although, thanks to a nagging feeling, he occasionally checked behind himself to see if Naoru was still following him. "Pace good for ya?" He kept walking, almost marching with responsibility, as he chanted his classic word for it: "Hop, hop, hop!"

Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures Kirk was endearingly worried about him so much that Naoru felt worse by the moment. Even the pain in his shoulder didn’t compare to the shame he felt for putting his classmate in this position. So all he could do to make him feel a little bit better, a little bit more at ease, was to go along with most of his wishes. So long as it didn’t include physical touches or laying on a bed in a lab. Speaking of which. “Oh, god no.” He breathed out as the beds in the medical camp were mentioned. Kirk’s words were actually reassuring, if only a little bit too detailed for his empathic mind. It was too easy to visualize himself strapped to a bed and being examined by scary-faced scientists. He shuddered, comically, face blank, soul nearly leaving him on the spot. He had to shake his head to get out of the mentally low state, and actually brace himself for the inevitable. Kirk agreed to come with him, so it will probably be alright. ...Right? Standing, he followed Kirk toward their destination, trying to keep up with the other. He tried jogging after him, but it seemed to be a bad idea, just as Kirk thought. His shoulder was pained from the shaking, but Naoru didn’t show that it was bothering him at all, aside from the flare of his Aura, of course. But even with the marching, he settled beside Kirk for the duration of the short trip. “Y-yes, the quicker, the better...” He agreed, although unsure. If they get there faster, that doesn’t guarantee that he will get through whatever procedure they decide to get him through faster. He just needs a bandage on the cut, and maybe a brace on the shoulder until his natural healing does the trick, that is all. He can take that much with a friend nearby. “The pace is alright.” He added with a nod, trying to match his steps to the rhythmic ‘hop hop hop’ of his classmate. “Thank you, Bluster-kun.” He said while they kept walking. “I can not express enough how thankful I am for your worry and kindness.” His voice rang honest, although he was not at all looking forward to what was coming at him. His mood visibly deep-dived as soon as they arrived to the medical camp. Seeing the first person in a white lab coat exiting from and then entering one of the set-up vans, Naoru paled even to his standards. Some civilians were around, but his sight zoned in on the nurses with clipboards, standing around near an open sided tent, checking patients to see if further examination would be necessary to determine their condition. His right hand was sweaty, and the left, the Aura one, shivered. He stopped, staring dead ahead, eyes wide, sight jumping from one person to another, but only between the medical staff. The others didn’t bother him, he barely even took notice of those that weren’t here on duty. What were they doing here anyway? Some of them were healthier than the average person! No one needed to be near a doctor if they were healthy! Who would willingly submit themselves to scientists if they didn’t have a problem? Who in their right mind would---? “Okay, no, this is a bad idea after all.” And then he turned around and away from the medical area. words: 568 Kirk Bluster he is such a mess, i still feel bad for kirk for having to deal with this guy MADE BY VEL OF GS

As happy as kirk was about things finally going according to plan, he knew he wasn`t out of the woods yet. Just him hearing that the hospitals had BEDS got Naoru to go all slack-eyed, for hecks sake! Was he really that afraid of doctors? For kirk, it was literally just a classic check-up! Just to check that his muscles and body worked fine! He had never been in a situation, that required for him to outright be knocked out. Heck, even when he couple of times got stitches, he was man enough to take them to his leg, having only cried once! And the doctor had been right next to him saying nice words the whole time! Now of course, said doctor was his mom, so maybe he was a little bit biased in that regard. However, Other doctors were just as nice, whenever they saw him around atleast!
And if Naorus wound was literally "just a scratch and a dislocated shoulder"... Nah, Kirk couldn`t make a dislocated shoulder sound like a minor injury. That sounded way more painful. "BUMPED shoulder!" Now thats a better word... The could just go, get him wrapped up in a big ol`bandage, and then just go home, or maybe even continuing with some easier exercises! He had 2 legs and an arm left still! That was a plenty for such things.
For now though, Naoru was following him at a decently quick pace, other than minor whinges about his arm. Taking that, maybe Naoru was right. Maybe there wasn´t anything to worry about. He was still able to move normally after all. Heck, the amount of praise Naoru was giving him, Kirk couldn`t help but blush and scratch the backside of his head. "Pffft, You are spoiling me! I am just following the bro-code!" All this while marching rhythmically too. "You know, "When the pain gets real, help em heal!" You don`t leave a pal behind when they are at their worst like that!" Sports were a team effort. And Kirk knew that throughout his big heart. Besides, he couldn`t think what kind of jerk would just leave a team member behind like that, even knowing some folks in 1-C.
As they entered the medical camp, Kirk looked about the place. "Wonder if the nurse at the initial inspect tent still remembers me!" She would propably be super amazed at how fast he had gotten moving again proper! Honestly, his leg worked like a charm already! Hopefully Darren was able to get out of bed too already. "Maybe if I tell her, that you are my pal, she will make it EXTRA quick!" He raised his thumb up in Naorus general direction, unknowing about the boy starting to become more and more nervous as they proceeded deeper into the area.
aaaand, then the boy snapped out a line, that Kirk immediately understood as the big red problem! "Ooooh...!" He did a quick joggy curve making it in front of the boys now changed direction of gaze. "...No it isn`t!" He was holding his arms to the sides, like a footballer ready to jump at any charger. However, he proceeded to turn them downwards as he started shooing him forwards instead! "If it makes it any easier for ya, I am gonna watch your back, instead of you watching mine!" His eyebrows were pointing down with the seriousness of a police chief, as he snapped his fingers onto his forehead! "Nobody is gonna test your reflexes while I am around, don´t you worry!" Besides, nobody would start hitting a bro like Naoru with a hammer, with a bro like Kirk around! For Kirk it seemed like a logistical impossibility!
"Gotta just get to the reception, and tell the nice girl your problems! And then its smooth sailing!" Or so Kirk atleast thought and hoped.

Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures ‘Bro-code’, Naoru echoed in his mind. That was a strange concept, basically guys looking out for each other and being generally good friends, at least that was what he thought. Maybe it was more, but really, it equaled with being a decent human being. People should look out for each other even without being bros. “Thank you again.” But still, Naoru nodded, because he understood what Kirk meant, more or less. Not like he could add a comment about this... bro-code anyway. In front of the camp, Naoru was watching the people nervously. He only partially paid attention to what Kirk was saying. “Do you know one of the nurses?” He asked quietly. From his words, he wasn’t sure if the person was Kirk’s acquaintance, or just someone that patched him up once not long ago. “Would that not make her take more time instead?” Either way, the possible relation didn’t calm him down a bit. It wasn’t a guarantee that he will be patched up faster. In his experience, it would be the opposite, if anything. Doctors would pay more attention to their friends and family, examining them more thoroughly to make sure they were alright. So if there was anyone among the nurses Kirk knew, Naoru would be even more worried for being held captive on a bed until they made sure he was completely healthy. A shiver ran down his spine, but he tried to mask it as an extra movement while straightening his back. He can’t do this! No way! Even Kirk’s encouraging thumbs-up was not giving him enough courage to go through with this. He turned away, fully intent on just going and let his own quirk do the healing, no matter how long that would take. He was stopped by Kirk’s full body, stepping in his way with his arms held out to the side. “Yes, it is.” Naoru looked up at him, clearly searching for a way out, and even trying to side-step his classmate a few times before he gave up. Kirk was much more stubborn than him when it was needed, and it seemed he was fully intending on holding onto that bro-code he mentioned before. He backed away automatically from Kirk’s shooing hands, and glanced back nervously toward the camp a few times before actually deciding to turn around and walk toward a nurse. Really slowly though. Every step was as if he walked toward his execution, and he was mentally preparing his will too. He can bequeath all of his belongings to his little brother and sister. They will hopefully remember only good things of him. “The reflexes-check is not among my worries.” Everything else is!, he added mentally. But with Kirk at his back, he couldn’t make a mad dash for the exit anymore. This bro-code was a demanding thing, and he didn’t like it one bit. “Reception. R-right.” He murmured, voice breaking from the sheer will that made him force his body closer to the nurse that was standing at the reception desk, evaluating a patient’s problem before she would lead them to the proper person to continue the examination. The commoner nurse was in her mid thirties, and was actually shorter than both Kirk and Naoru as she stood with the clipboard in hand. Naoru stepped close, but he was unable to force a word out from his constricting lungs. With his eyes wide, face getting paler, he must have seemed like he was nearing a panic attack. His left was even clutching his right, injured arm, nervously holding it closer to his body. He didn’t want these people to examine him at all, no matter how nice they seemed. “Hello, can I help you with anything?” The nurse asked, all smiles and politeness, and Naoru couldn’t reciprocate either for his life. Although he opened his mouth to talk, there was nothing coming out except the most unsure “Um”, and that didn’t help him forward at all. He actually took a step back from the willing nurse, as if he was facing off with the scariest of nightmares. “Are you feeling unwell? Please do come closer so a doctor can examine you.”Bad choice of words. Naoru took a much more steadier step back. “No, I...” It didn’t seem like he would be able to talk and functionally breathe at the same time while he was near medical staff. And while he was facing forward, he couldn’t see Kirk standing behind him, supportive as he was. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Kirk had to admit, he felt pretty smart with his choice of a way to keep Naoru from escaping. Naturally, if the guy didn`t like being touched, he just needed to stand in the way like a goalkeeper, and make it so that if he wanted to leave, he would need to prepare to make bodily contact! And since he was dead afraid of making that contact, Kirk needed to just step from side to side and do his job as a proper goalie would to keep him in! And without even needing to actually touch him and making him nervous! Perfect plan he could pat himself on the back for! Although the more he thought about it, if Naoru himself didn`t wanna get checked out, this might be absolutely horrible for him... "Sorry bro, but it`s for your own good!" A bit late of an apology, but he got it out there! Atleast they were on the move once again... very slowly.
Then he came up with something that would definitely make Naoru more sure to accept these folks! "But yeah, the nurse that took care of me, She took care of Darren too!" Darren was the sort of person, that if he was okay with being handled, it definitely meant something! "Oh, you should have seen him! He had been freefalling, and had all these little red dots on his arms, but after a little while of lying down, he was able to go home no sweat!" On the other hand, he may have gone a bit too far in explaining things in minor excitement.
Kirk had to quickly think, when Naoru said that the reflex test wasn`t exactly his worries. He outright lifted his index finger momentarily up like having come up with something only to lower it down... even mentioning needles would propably cause him to turn around again... However, he let himself just pass it over as he confirmed his selection of place to go to. "Eeyup! The reception! And I assure you, it is going to be WARM!" That was way easier to say than something about medical things that wasn`t obvious but spooky!
And it atleast seemed to be a warm reception! The person at the reception was this decently short lady, but she looked just nice enough that Naoru couldn`t think she was dangerous, right? Nope, the guy was going paler by the second. Honestly, if it wasn`t so problematic, Kirk would have propably asked ages ago what the problem was... and it was getting really hard to not ask! "Heyo!" However, Kirk initiated his conversation with the nurse atleast. However, with Naoru slowly backing up, he would eventually bump into Kirk. Almost like a silent call for help. "Don`t worry bro, I`ve got ya!" They were this close, so Kirk was still ready to put his butt on the line.
"According to his words and my glaring, He ran shoulder first into one of the climb up log walls!" He proceeded to step a bit to the side, as he pointed at the aura covered arms length with his finger, lifting his finger up and down. "His arm is bleeding badly under that cover, and I think primarily his elbow is hurt proper! Also..." Then he pointed at the guys shoulder. "He himself says that his shoulder is busted!" He went behind Naoru again, as he knew that he would propably try to run at this point. "Now, the hard thing is, Bro doesn`t like to be touched, or being looked at by doctors! And I wanna respect that! It might be hard working with him, BUT I AIN`T LEAVING until he is cozily lying in bed with no pains! Got it!?"
He literally sounded like some sort of sports dad shooting out things to make sure his son was going to be alright! And he wasn`t even sure if that would help calm Naoru down, or make him even more of a wreck! However, right now, they were so close to the finish line, that the competitive energy to beat Naorus fear of doctors was at full throttle! NAORU WAS GONNA BE FINE!

Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures Even though Kirk brought up Darren as an example who was handled and nursed back into health by these people, Naoru was not reassured. He knew Darren, and knew how much of a troublemaker he was, so it should have made a point for him, really. He also assumed Darren was too prideful to allow himself to be treated by doctors, and he still sat through an examination and got out of it better than before. He should have known and understood this, but he just couldn’t. “I hope Daimon-kun is doing fine.” He muttered, wishing the best for Darren, but still worried if the meeting with the doctors didn’t do him more harm than good in the end. Steeling himself, he walked to the reception, but he found it to be useless still. No words came to him as he stood there, being watched by the middle-aged nurse. With his last step back, he did bump into Kirk, and froze in the spot immediately, leaning forward and away from his classmate as the boy started talking. He felt like he ended up between two forces, between two sources of flames and there was no way out for him. He was glad that Kirk took the conversation into his own hand, because Naoru wouldn’t be able to do or say anything. He was really glad. Really. Except it still meant he would need to sit on a bed and be examined, and that was something as far from his desires as possible. Somewhere at the back of his mind, he heard Kirk telling all of his symptoms to the nurse to the smallest of details. He had a good memory, and he was really good at saying everything a nurse would need as quickly as possible for a quick treatment. Kirk must have brought friends to medics before, Naoru assumed. He must be a really compassionate and caring friend. Naoru distracted himself with these thoughts, and before he noticed, he was ushered toward one of the beds where another nurse was waiting. By this point, he was on complete autopilot. Face nearly unresponsive, he was pale, and slow in movements. Through the loud ringing in his ear, when he was asked a question, he either shook his head or nodded when such answers were expected. When he was told to remove his Aura’s cover from his injured arm, he just stared for a few moments, before slowly, gradually, complying. When he was asked to remove his shirt so the nurse could take a better look at his shoulder, he shook his head no in refusal. When he was asked to lay down into the bed, he refused as well. The nurse must have been taking into consideration everything Kirk asked, and while being watched by the jock’s eyes, she wouldn’t even dare to take a wrong step in the situation. She was an experienced nurse, and she could see an incoming panic attack and fear of the environment when she saw it. She decided it was better to bandage the boy and let him be on his way as soon as possible. Even though a negative response was given when the question about pain was asked, she didn’t believe it for a second. But aggravating the boy with injecting an anesthetic would have been a bad choice. The gash was quickly cleaned and bandaged, and an icepack was given for the bruised shoulder before the nurse gave the two boys the go. There was the usual question asked, if they would like to stay and have their quirks be examined by professional staff, but it was promptly ignored. Naoru was out of the tent in a heartbeat. The icepack was held in place by his own Aura, as even with his closed-off mind, he could register the cold easing some of his pain. He remember mumbling something like “Thank you for your care” before taking off, and he didn’t stop until he was some hundred meters away from any kind of nurse or doctor in sight. Reality was slowly coming back to him as he was sitting with his back to the fence that rang around the medical camp. His knees were pulled up to his chest, his forehead hanging on top of his Aura arm that rested on his legs. His right arm was kept beside his body, fingers nervously digging at the dirt beneath. Breathing slowly, he regained his calm in a few minutes, his ears were able to hear the singing of the birds nearby again. But for the life of him, he wouldn’t be able to recall half of the things that happened while he was inside that tent... Small cracks akin to spider-webs were going through his left arm, as if it was ready to break into pieces in any moment. His Aura that covered his other arm and upper body was only hugging his shoulder by now, connected to his left. He looked up and around to see if Kirk was still nearby, or if he lost his classmate somewhere in the meantime. MADE BY VEL OF GS

After explaining things to the best of his capabilities, it seemed like the nurse actually took it in pretty well. Things started moving forward, and it looked like Kirk had accomplished his task! Things should be fine, and Naoru should finally be happy and relaxed, with him being in the hands of a person who knew exactly how to handle him without tipping any of these points. However, the way Naoru looked really emphasized all that he had been saying to him. It was one of those faces which could make a stone face frown... It almost turned his proud feeling completely upside down. Almost like he had instead pushed him straight into the wolves mouth! "I-I`ll come along and watch! No worries!" He said in a kind of goofy tone, something like a guy who had just realized he had left the oven on in their apartment. Perhaps his task wasn`t yet done after all...
For the most part though, he just stared with these awkward glares, switching between Naoru, and the nurse he was talking to. It was a one-sided discussion, with Naoru only nodding or shaking his head. Kirk crossed his arms and sighed, as he patted his foot against the ground... not out of frustration, but just to use some of that energy piling up in him. He was just so absolutely confused. He had never had this sort of problem, yet he was almost completely paralyzed just by the fact that a person was asking him questions! And when they finally made it to him actually getting treatment, he continued being horribly against it. Not that he didn`t fight back, but it did make Kirks stomach churn...
This really didn`t feel like something someones "bro" would have forced upon them. He scratched his head, with a brief look to the side occasionally, almost trying to just make himself feel better. "It´s for the best..." Just like whenever he gave medications for his grandpa to eat in the evening. They might not like it, but they need it... But Naoru did say he would have been alright anyway...
However, looking at the nurse herself... She did her job very well! Atleast for what Kirk knew about doctoring duties. He had never exactly done first aid himself, but it looked like she was doing her best not to hurt him! Heck, she even did a very QUICK job! It was everything Kirk could have asked for in "help a pal quickly and like he wants"! Heck, she asked if they wanted to stick around, but Kirk knew the answer for that one. "Nope, that`s it!" Admittedly he didn`t like his own Quirk being poked about either, so that was way easier for him to understand.
However, afterwards, Naoru took off after mumbling something, catching Kirk by surprise. "Thanks and apologies for quick leave!" He bowed his head down a little, before running off to catch up with him, with thoughts running through his own head. Oh man, he must be so pissed and annoyed! Heck, with how fast the guy took off, Kirk had a hard time finding where he had gone! However, he had just been checked out, he shouldn`t be left alone so suddenly! Kirk should atleast make sure he was able to go home alone first! Although since he was able to run this quickly, atleast his legs were working fine! Ugh, trying to find positives was starting to get hard again...
Eventually, he found him... But seeing him in such a sorry state, proceeded to keep his distance... Man, what was he doing? Digging the ground? Heck, his arm was looking even freakier than before! Had the nurse done something wrong? It looked like it was breaking apart, yet Naoru himself was just sitting there! "B-Br... Dude!?" Slight hesitation aside, he did call out to him. Heck, he was looking around, so it was propably best time if any. "Y-you alright?" Get the important things off first! He walked over... and it atleast looked like his arm was still in one piece? Well, the one he still had that is... "I`ll uh, go home now... If you need anything just send me a message, okay!? I`ll be there in a jiffy!" He felt like he needed to do something to make up for this... "If you ARE all fine that is... dude..." He scratched his head, like a guy who didn`t really know what he should be saying...
However, he got one final word out: "Sorry!" If Naoru asked him to stay, he would stick around, but if the answer was nothing, he would quickly jog off, leaving Naoru alone... a decision he wasn`t sure if he should have done from the start.
