Miku has been coming to the military camp Semper Fi every day to better herself. She has been to every area Combat, Rescue and Armoury. She has been to every, but one area. Medical & Research area. Unable to delay the inevitable, she took a deep breath and went to the facilitly. Luckily, this time she ran into some decent people who didnt treat her like shit because of her quirk, so she managed to actually try and learn something relating to medicine. She started with simple stuff like putting bandages
While practicing simple medicine, she thought to herself how she could improve and be more battle ready. She really wanted to have a word with Darren to learn martial arts or get a chance to talk to Cian to improve her rescue operations subject or maybe ask someone good to help her with her Quirk "The only time I really get to go wild is when I hear metal. But in battle there is no background music or whatever. So I do I get to become badass in a real scenario? How do I like... break loose? Should I just imagine the music that unleashes my more... battle ready side?" Miku thought as she wrapped some bandages and did some medical excercises

What a day it has been! Alaster, while still in his civilian cover of Harry R. Krowe, was being escorted to the medical area along with Nick, who was also in a civilian cover. The two had just barely survived an obstacle course of hell intact. Thankfully, the madness has ended. Himura, the soldier responsible for the fiasco, was being taken away. Alaster was sure that he had not been injured, but he supposed that there was no harm in checking, just to be sure.
As the two walked to the medical area with the soldiers escorting them, Alaster began to get bored. What would there even be for him to do? He supposed that he could check out the shooting range once he was done in the medical area. His aim could use some work. After all, it would be a good idea to not rely on his quirk too much when dealing with maniacs like Himura. In addition, Alaster loved crows, and it pained him to have to resort to forcibly taking control of their minds in order to fight. Once he got really good with using a gun, then he wouldn't have to rely on the crows as often.
Alaster decided to start a conversation with Nick. After all, there was nothing better to do at the moment, and Nick was still better to talk to than nobody. Besides, Alaster still had that awful and embarrassing thing that Brooke (aka Nari) had forced him to go through, and he was desperate to find a distraction big enough to get his mind off of that fiasco.
"So how's life been for you?"

To say Nick was on edge was an understatement. Not only had he just barely avoided being blown to smithereens by a live turret, he had been forced to activate his Quirk and expose himself in front of Harry R Krowe, the author whose books he enjoyed so much and who definitely knew his real identity.
All the while as they were escorted to the medical area he expected Krowe to say something. His body was so tense it felt on the verge of rupturing. It did not help that his arms still ached like there was no tomorrow; he could still move them, so he had not broken anything, but slamming the turret’s controls had really not been a good idea in hindsight.
Krowe looked to him and he felt the entire world freeze. Shit shit shit. If Krowe exposed him then what would he do? He knew a lot of Yuuei students and staff to be in the camp. Contending with them alongside the military was not something he wanted to do particularly much, if given the choice.
Instead, though, Krowe simply asked how life had been for him.
“It’s been a bit up and down,” he answered. He did not ask Krowe how his own life had been. He simply looked ahead as they at last arrived at one of the medical tents.

Miku who was trying to improve her meager medical skills, heard someone was arriving at her tent. An lo and behold it was her favorite author Harry R. Krowe. Miku was so excited and enthralled by Harry's presence that she didnt even see the person who was talking to him
Even though she wasnt a pro. She did want to help somehow. Or heck even if its just directing her fav author to a professional medic, it still means she could have a word with him and ... gasp... speak to him. So she took a breath and went to approach him. As she did though, she noticed the 2nd person, a blonde person. Harry's friend maybe? She didnt pry.
Miku approached the two and asked "Hello. Is there any way I can help you? Are you hurt or did you come here to learn medicine?" As she spoke she mentally kicked herself and thought how terrible her approach was. She tried not to fangirl, but still thought her approach was not professional enough "Im not a rassa frassa flippin medic. This is so not for me. Im not Rin. This is her thing.I know this and I dont even know her.... Gah, I shouldnt have even came here" she thought to herself

As Alaster listened to Nick speak, a horrible thought just occurred to him. What if Nick asked him about how he's been? Alaster would of course not talk about the night he spent drunk making a fool of himself if it came up, but what kind of believable lie would he have to come up with? Fortunately for Alaster, Nick did not ask him about anything of that sort. He sighed in relief.
Another thought had occurred to Alaster. He basically revealed to Nick that he knew it was him in disguise without actually letting him know that he had no intention of blowing his cover. Whoops! It was probably wise to fix that immediately. Leaning close to Nick's ear so no one else would overhear, Alaster began to whisper. "If you're worried about your cover being blown, don't worry about it. Your secret's safe with me. I won't tell anyone else about you. It's the least I can do to thank you." Alaster could not believe that he didn't do this sooner. He could not imagine how worried Nick must have been.
At last, they had arrived at a medical tent. Entering it, Alaster was greeted by a blonde girl. She looked excited to see him. Another fan, perhaps? If that was the case, Alaster hoped that she was not nearly as crazy as the last one. The young lady asked if he needed any assistance or if he had come to learn about medicine. Hmm, perhaps that would be a useful skill to learn. After all, if Alaster decided to leave the gang, then he would no longer have Patch to fix his injuries. Now was not the time, but Alaster made a mental note to come back to this in the future.
"Ah yes. I'm pretty sure that I'm not hurt too badly, but it's not a bad idea to check, just in case." Alaster smiled. "Although I insist that you check up on my friend here first. I'm pretty sure Sam probably needs it more right now than I do." Seeing as Nick had been the one to fight close up with that psycho Himura, Alaster had no doubt that if either of the two had any injuries, Nick's would be far more serious.
"Still, I am curious to learn more about medicine. Is there a book or something here I can read up on about it? I wouldn't mind if you told me about it yourself, but I'd rather make sure my friend here gets treated first."
Small talk was all Alaster could think of doing to keep the boredom at bay. There wasn't much else he could do here and now.

Nick grew even more unbelievably tense as Krowe leaned in closer, fists clenching in preparation of a fight, only for the author to shock him by claiming he would not reveal his identity as thanks. Such a statement should have relieved Nick, but instead his eyes narrowed. Could he believe him? He did not know. He had been raised being told you could never truly trust anyone, and no one he had met had ever done much to convince him otherwise.
It was then they were approached by a small figure, the sight of whom shattered Nick’s thoughts with the force of a sledgehammer. He almost froze mid-step. He had to fight off a furious grimace.
Hanabira Miku.
Yes, he remembered her well; she was the troublesome girl who had almost found out his connection to the Gifted Underground, for reasons he still did not know and probably never would. He knew Yuuei had a heavy presence at the camp, but even so, what the hell were the chances?
There was a part of him that almost wanted to tell her that her suspicions about him had been correct. A spiteful, bitter part that wished to throw it in her face that she had allowed him to convince her otherwise and thus damage had been done.
He held back, however. He knew doing that would achieve nothing good for himself.
“Arms hurt,” he said, switching back to his broken Japanese and praying Krowe would say nothing of this. He could not afford to have the one student who had suspected something was wrong about him recognise him. “Not broken, but you might look anyway.” He held his arms out.

Miku then listened as her favorite author answered her question. He said that he's not hurt badly, that was relief, but he did mention that it wouldnt be bad to check. But on the other hand, his friend called Sam seemed to be hurt. As soon as 'Harry' said that, Miku sprung into action, and motioned Ni-SAM to follow her to the real medics who could properly treat him "This way please" she said to 'Sam' as she showed him the way.
While helping 'Sam', she heard her favorite author ask her if there was a book about medicine. She did her best not to squee as she was so excited a celebrity actually spoke to her. "I-I'll bring you a book right away, sir" Miku said as she got 'Sam' to proper medical professionals who would treat him. She then told 'Harry' to wait just a moment and that she'll bring him a book she was reading, and with that she ran off to do a 'fetch quest' which involved getting a medicine book to 'Harry'.
Miku's little 'quest' took her a minute or two as she went to the place she was previously reading, got the book and quickly returned to 'Harry'. "Here it is! This one is just about the basics. Some starter stuff about medicine. Is that ok?" she asked her favorite author, trying to be polite and not... fangirlish

As the blonde girl escorted Nick to the medics to treat his arm, she addressed Alaster in a formal manner when she said she could get him a medical book. It was clear that she was trying very hard not to let her fangirling show too much. It was actually a bit adorable, not to mention heartwarming. Just like with Nick, seeing someone who liked his writing put a genuine smile on Alaster's face. Few things in the world made him happier than seeing people like the writing that he poured his heart and soul on.
Alaster did not have to wait too long for the girl to return with the book. Basics in Medicine Volume I. As the name implied, it was just basic medical knowledge. Still, this would come in handy to Alaster one day. "This is perfect! Thank you so much, miss ...um." Ah right, introductions haven't been made yet. The girl undoubtedly already knew Alaster's civilian persona, and she heard him refer to Nick as Sam. She was the only one whose name Alaster did not know. "If you don't mind, may I ask for your name?"
Afterwards, Alaster took out his phone and opened up the online bookstore. If he could not take this book with him, then he wanted to order it online. After searching for the book, Alaster found it, as well as the other books in the series. He placed all of the volumes on the wishlist, to purchase later.
Once he finished doing that, Alaster decided to talk with Miku for a bit as he waited for Nick. She brought him a useful book and she was a fan of his, so brushing her aside now would just be rude of him. "So tell me, if you don't mind of course. What brings you here? Are you studying medicine yourself?"

Nick tried not to glance at Miku as he followed her to the proper medics. He did his best not to look back at her when she left him with them for the moment. He wondered if she knew he was no longer attending Yuuei. Or the reason why. He could only imagine the look of sheer horror on her face if she knew and then it was revealed he was right beside her.
His heartbeat increased the longer he left Krowe with her. Would Krowe tell her his real identity? He doubted Miku had it in her to fight him, and definitely not to do any actual damage, but it was not her he was worried about: more the trained veterans that surrounded them everywhere in the camp. Even someone like Nick knew when he was outnumbered.
There was little he could do while with the medics, however. The medics insisted on giving his arms a quick x-ray to be absolutely sure nothing was broken or fractured. He allowed this, supposing fractures were a possibility he had not considered until then. Fortunately, however, the results showed that his bones were fine. His armour must have absorbed the worst of the damage. He was just going to have to put up with some big bruises for a while.
At least that means my armour’s getting stronger, he thought. Always look for the silver lining.
It was honestly about damn time.
He headed back over to Krowe and Miku as fast as he could without making his urgency obvious.
“A book?” he observed. “Suppose makes sense it does for an author to be interested in such thing. Speaking of, am looking forward yes to final part of Hrothgurt Trilogy very much.” Maybe if he moved the topic to Krowe’s works Krowe would forget all about the possibility of exposing him. He was his greatest ever fan, after all. And it was not as though he did not enjoy talking about Krowe’s works.

Miku then realized she was being rude, she gently bowed and apologieed to Alaster "Oh! I am so sorry, sir!" she said as she bowed and apologised. And the proceeded to introduce herself "My name is Miku, sir. Miku Hanabira. I am a student of UA. Class 1B. I came here to this military camp to improve my skills. Both fighting and Quirk. I did all the areas except for this medical area. So far, I have to say Im not really getting the hang of healing. But I think Im getting better with my Quirk. I might become a Rescue Hero. Well... hopefully"
With that she introduced herself and told him why she came here. But then she asked "May I ask. Why did you come here? Was it inspiration for your next book? O-or are you not allowed to say such things?"
Before Alaster could reply for that question, 'Sam' spoke and reminded her of the final part of Hrothgurt Trilogy. When he said that though, Miku turned to face 'Sam' and asked him "Have we met? I feel like I heard your voice somewhere"
Maybe it was her mind playing tricks on her or maybe she accidentally heard his voice in the bus streets of Tokyo or heck, even Musutafu.

Honestly, the girl was just adorable. She was apologizing for something that Alaster honestly thought was not that big of a deal. Smiling reassuringly, Alaster placed a hand on Miku's shoulder as he spoke to her. "It's alright. You weren't being rude, and I'd forgive you even if you were."
So her name was Miku. Kind of an adorable name, to be honest. Pretty fitting. More importantly, she was a student at UA. A hero in-training. Perhaps Nick knew her, or she knew him? Alaster could only imagine the panic that Nick must be going through right now. Would she recognize him? Would there be trouble if she did?
"Ah, so you're a hero in-training, are you? Very commendable! I hope your training goes well and you become a wonderful hero!" Alaster then humored himself by imagining being in the middle of a job with the gang, only to be stopped by just Miku. How hilarious would it be to see Pex, Boulder, Moose, and the others beaten by a small adorable hero? Alaster held back the urge to laugh. Still, he didn't wish to underestimate her. She was undoubtedly much more dangerous than she looked. Hopefully, he would never have to see Miku as Crowley.
Just as Miku began to ask Alaster why he decided to come to Semper Fi, Nick decided to join in the conversation. He began talking about Alaster's books. More specifically, he was looking forward to the final part of the Hrothgurt Trilogy. "Ah yes, I'm still working on that. I don't imagine it will be too long before it's ready to hit stores. You can look forward to reading it in just a few weeks. I won't spoil too much, but here's what I can say. Things will get very crazy. Oh, and there's something I wanted to talk to you about regarding my next book, Sam." To thank Nick for saving his life at the obstacle course, Alaster decided to base the protagonist of the next book off of Nick. He would even let Nick pick the name of the protagonist.
"But first, Miku asked me something, so I'll answer her first." Alaster turned his attention to Miku. "To answer you question, I came here to learn how to defend myself. In truth, I was once attacked at a book signing." Nick would remember that one, as he was there too. "After that, I figured that it might not be a bad idea to learn how to better defend myself from criminals and the crazier fans of mine. Can't always rely on the heroes being there to save me all the time, after all. Anyway, once I heard about the military rolling into town, I figured that this would be a fantastic opportunity to learn how to fight better. Plus, the entire premise sounded fun!"
After answering Miku's question, Alaster turned his attention back to Nick. "Anyway Sam, I wanted to thank you again for earlier. So..." Alaster couldn't wait to see Nick's face upon hearing what Alaster would say next. "How would you like to name the protagonist of my next book series?"

Nick’s forced, fake smile could not have been wiped from his face faster when that irksome Miku girl commented on his voice being familiar. A million curse words exploded through his mind in rapid succession.
“No?” he replied, putting on the best expression of puzzled confusion he could manage. “Am only in town for month. Never been before.” He hoped with all his heart his broken Japanese would throw her off the trail. It seemed even after he had left Yuuei she still managed to find ways to piss him off by shoving her nose where it did not remotely belong.
His angriest thoughts about Miku were silenced when Krowe spoke up, however. It took Nick seconds that felt like an eternity to process what exactly Krowe had said.
He wants to make me the protagonist of one of his books?
His entire body began to teem with excitement on a level he had never known before, practically shaking itself apart from it. He even made a quiet ee noise as he did his best to hold back a full on fanboy scream.
“Yes!” he blurted out loud enough to draw the attention of the entire tent, but he did not care. No one else existed to him in that moment but Krowe. “Please do!”
His excitement came crashing down, however, when he wondered exactly how much about him Krowe knew. If he had looked at the news recently, would he include a mention of that? And would the protagonist truly be like Nick if he did not? Nick did not know.
He did not sigh, but he looked away from Krowe.
“Name him Ridan,” he said. It was ‘nadir’ spelled backwards. Nick could not think of a name more fitting for his current situation and how he currently felt.

Her favorite author placed a hand on her shoulder and said that it was alright, that she wasnt being rude. He also said that its very commendable that she is a hero in training and hoped she becomes a wonderful Hero. The fact that Alaster or as Miku knows him 'Harry', the fact that he spoke so nicely to her, she couldnt help but blush just a teeny weeny bit. Her favorite writter talking to her. That was mindblowin that a well known person like him was talking to her.
While they talked 'Sam' chimed in and asked about the Trilogy, 'Harry' spoke that he is working on that and that it would be done soon. She couldn't wait. But then, 'Harry' told 'Sam' to wait, that he needed to answer Miku's question. He explained that he came here to learn how to defend himself, because he once got attacked at a book signing. Miku remembered that scandal. She almost went to that book signing, but sadly couldnt go due to circumstances. "I'm sorry I was not there to help, sir. I wanted to go to that book signing, but... erm... other things prevented me from going. I hope you were not hurt" she said But now realizing he came here to learn how to defen himself, that meant "Wait, that means he has a Quirk. I wonder if Im allowed to ask what it is" she thought to herself
He then turned to 'Sam' and said that he could name the protagonist in 'Harrys' new book series. That was like just so amazing and mindblowing. Heck, he didnt ask her. But she was mindblown as if he did ask her. 'Sam' was so lucky and Miku was happy for him. But then realizing the two men were alright, Miku thought she should leave them. 'Harry' was thankfully ok, and 'Sam' was being treated. Miku felt she wasnt needed anymore. So she spoke to 'Sam' first when he said the protagonists name "That's a good name!" And then she turned to her favorite author and spoke to him "R-right. So umm... I guess I should go back to reading and practicing. I dont want to butt in since you already came here with your companion, sir. Plus, it looks like everything is under control. So... um... I will take my leave?" She said as she took a step back. She did not want to come between him and 'Sam' and their time together. The two men seemed like friends who came to train and spend time together. They didnt need a fangirl like her bugging them. If Miku had her way, she'd stay with 'Harry', but she knew she should not bother the man, he had better things to do. It was sad, but true.

Alaster had almost forgotten that the fiasco that happened back at the bookstore was in the news. So Miku wanted to be there? Alaster smiled just hearing that. "It's fine. I wasn't hurt or anything. A hero helped make sure of that." Alaster was of course referring to Nick, but of course he wasn't going to say anything about 'Sam' being there. "I'm just happy to hear that you wanted to come, although I'm honestly glad you didn't. I could never forgive myself if anyone was hurt because of me."
After telling Nick he could name the protagonist of Alaster's next book, Alaster had to try his best to look like he wasn't going to burst out laughing at Nick's reaction. Ah, fanboyism at its finest! Alaster began smiling, but in truth, it was not due to Nick's humorous reaction. He was simply touched by how excited Nick was for one of his books. Alaster did love to see the happy smiles from his readers. It made all of the effort he put into his writing worth it.
He then noticed Nick look away from him as he told Alaster the name to use for the protagonist. Alaster was curious as to why Nick chose Ridan, but he was even more curious as to why Nick's excitement seemed to evaporate all of a sudden. Alaster just couldn't understand what thoughts went through that boy's head. Alaster decided not to push Nick about it. If he didn't want to talk about it, then Alaster wouldn't ask.
"Ridan's a very fine name, Sam. Fitting for a great hero. Consider it done!"
It seemed as though Miku thought that she was just being in the way, and suggested that she left. Alaster didn't know how Nick felt, but he wasn't bothered by her presence. "No, it's fine. If you want to go or need to leave, then I understand. But I wouldn't mind at all if you stayed a while longer. Of course, I won't force you to stay if you can't or don't want to."
Alaster then had an idea. "Miku, why don't you give me a name as well? You can go ahead and name a character for my next book if you want to." He supposed it was fair. Nick could have the main character, but he could thank Miku by letting her give a character a name of her choosing as well.

Nick was not taking the name back and changing it to something else. Not for all the money in the world. As far as he was concerned, there was no name that could have described him better. None that were not explicit, that was. ‘Tihs’ or ‘Dratsab’ might have worked, but somehow he doubted Krowe’s publishers would appreciate those ones quite nearly as much.
He glanced at Krowe with concern as the author discussed the first time they had met all the way back when Krowe had been attacked at his book signing. Krowe thankfully did not give away that the one who had saved him was stood right there, but even so a word he said – specifically, the word he used to describe his saviour – made something inside Nick sink.
Hero. The word stuck in Nick’s mind like a piece of food that would not swallow. The longer it remained the more his excitement over Krowe’s next novel shrivelled until it was nothing. Perhaps Krowe had no idea what he had done to describe him with such a glowing word, but Krowe not knowing the truth did not give Nick as much comfort as he had thought it would – because instead, the author believed him to be a hero.
To think, there had been a time when he had attended a school with the supposed intention of making him into a so-called ‘hero’. It almost seemed as though it had happened a century ago. He could scarcely remember any of it, except for his moments with her, the one who had ultimately brought about his downfall.
No – that was wrong. He had caused his own downfall. He had caused it with his damn emotions getting out of hand and then some. His own actions were to blame and it was because of them he had failed the task set to him by his dearly beloved Mother.
Shut up, a voice snarled at him within his mind. You don’t actually regret no longer going to that godforsaken institute, do you? You know that place was just another way for the Quirkless government to monitor and control us.
While most of Nick agreed with this sentiment, there were parts of him that could not help but wonder and ponder. Yuuei may have been just another way of controlling the Quirked, but he could have still used it. His end goal was to become a beacon for the Quirked people, was it not? Someone to inspire them to rise up and better themselves? A symbol of strength and the domination of the weak? Through Yuuei he could have done this, even if it would have meant playing the damned Quirkless government’s game for a time. That was what becoming a hero had meant to Nick.
All of that was thrown unceremoniously out of the window now, that much he knew. Heroes definitely did not kidnap people or do the kind of things he had done to Rin. Or enjoy doing them. Because as hard as he had broken down after, he knew he had.
I’m filth, he thought, miserably dipping his head as he stewed in the darkest recesses of his heart.
He was no hero of any kind. No character Krowe made would ever truly represent him.
He did not even have it in him to care at all that Miku said something about taking her leave, despite his prior disdain for her presence. Nor did he care that Krowe tried to convince her to remain with them for a time. He simply continued to stand there and stared blankly into space.
