Mia was a little surprised the girl who’d shown such talent hadn’t even thought of a hero name yet (Mia wasn’t even aware she was a UA student, she just assumed most quirkers these days sometimes liked to come up with their hero names), regardless she went with what was give, gesturing to the girl she was holding up by her wrist and promoting her proudly as the person who conquered her in a fight. “Give it up for Kanna!” The crowd paused for a moment, but one of the kids Mia had picked out of the crowd to praise the quirk of earlier stood up and started chanting the name, and once one begins a chant, the rest of the crowd feels less and less nervous about joining in. Before long the room was filled with Kanna’s name and Mia was giving a hearty chuckle hearing everyone chant along.
Eventually of course she let her go and let her back down to her own feet, Mia crossing her arms and hearing her question. It was a fair one in such a situation, heck even Mia hadn’t expected to lose but she took it in stride from such a spunky little kid, tipping her head up towards the girl. “Oh hey, don’t think I let you off too easy. I just can’t bring myself to brutalize a kid. Ya got some real skill, and those tendrils definitely helped, but some of the things you pulled were all you. You managed to make me practically throw myself across the room afterall!” She opened her arms with a gesture that just helped express how impressed she was. “Seriously kid, the only time I really, REALLY held back, was when you had me in that arm lock. I coulda gotten out of it sure but I probably woulda broken your arm or some shit, and that’s the sorta crap I save for villains ya know?”

Of course they fell silent, Kanna was never the popular type, nor did she particularly care for it. Even when a renowned Heroine shouted her victorious name before a crowd, none uttered a single word. The blonde all but snickered, not really surprised by it, looking up at the taller woman, about to flash her one of those "i told you so" looks, even though she hadn't even said anything, or even: "Shit... They're way too loud.", the blonde grumbled half heartedly, ruffling her shaggy blonde hair, rubbing her own cheek as her introverted nature came out in full. She'd been praised for her skills enough, but never quite like this, and as those cries reverberated through her whole form, she immediately understood why some people revelled in it, why Red Horn felt at home in it. Clearly, she'd never go as far as live for this kind of attention, but she struggled with saying she disliked it or anything. Once let down back on her feet, Kanna rolled that held wrist in her palm, smirking as she looked up the pro, chuckling with modest satisfaction at her answer. The proud loner who wanted to hold her own in the face of adversity... The giddy youth who'd rather fool around with expensive tech using her Quirk... And the fierce fighter who wanted to test that power against a foe she respected. She got to indulge all these three facets of her personality thanks to the confident hero before her, who seemingly had nothing but praise for her skills: "I mean, I had to come up with half that shit on the fly... I doubt my usual style woulda worked on you.", humility really wasn't Kanna's forte, clearly... She was honest, however, and had no qualms admiting what she could and couldn't do, even if she still found herself rubbing behind her neck under the endless rain of flattery, "Yeah, I gotchu, It ain't like we were out to kill each other or anything." Still, as she looked up at the taller woman and nodded, that fire in her eyes yet lingered as Kanna rest her hand on one hip and wiped the sweat off her forehead, pleased at the little workout she just had, and the chance to push her Quirk to the limits, to see what it could do in combat. Everytime she looked at the blonde brawler towering over her, she'd forever think about standing toe to toe against her such, wondering how much stronger she'd get in the process: "Still, If you ever wanna spar again, I'm 100% down.", she nodded, placing the offer out there with a stretch of her hand and a smirk, noting to herself how this woman might very well become her favorite hero if she wasn't already.

Mia chuckled a little to herself as Kanna clearly didn’t take well to the chanting crowd, waving them down a little and waving to them all. “Alright guys, how about we call that the end of the show today? One last round of applause for the military who let me kick their ass, me for kicking their ass, and of course, this amazing badass who managed to bring me to my knees? Whadd’ya say!?” The crowd started clapping with her, but she ultimately kept it brief, throwing her arm to the side in a dismissive motion, though playfully so. “Alright now get outta here the lot of ya. The base is only open for a few days so enjoy it while ya can. And remember, don’t sign up, you’re much better than any of these punks will give ya credit for!” She watched the crowd leave before giving Kanna her full attention again, rolling her shoulders back as she relaxed a little without the crowd watching.
“Ah don’t put yourself down kid. Ya got talent! To think of some of that on the fly takes a good head on your shoulders.” She smiled, her praise as genuine as it could be and tempted to ruffle the girl’s hair, but she wouldn’t do that to her, even embaressing them like this with no one around. At the offer to spar in the future, Mia reached into a back pocket and pulled out a card for her hero agency, flicking the card with her thumb so that Kanna could catch it. “Hey if you ever wanna spar just gimme a call sometime. I’m 110% down.~” She smirked cheekily, before adding- “Though, just sayin’, if you ain’t on one of those new hero courses yet you totally should be. If you ever apply to one gimme a call, I hear they expedite the acceptance process if you have a pro-hero recommending you.”

No way an introvert would get used to this, even if this moment of triumph, she'd feel hard pressed to say she disliked it. Whenever she imagined herself as a proper hero, she'd always pegged herself as the type who'd shy away from the spotlights, keep most of her abilities under wraps to better surprise her foes. For a straightfoward fighter like Red Horn though, whether people knew what she could do or not made little difference... Her greatest strength not in her muscles, but in her experience and fighting sense. So while the crowd gawked and cheered at her at the woman's behest, Kanna's eyes stood on her more often than not. With all of Kanna's fighting spirit though, she didn't really mind people watching her fight, and especially didn't mind watching them win... But the really interesting event here had been the fight they just had, her first chance to ever actually meet a well known Hero. Kanna may care little for popularity, but she wasn't so airheaded as to not think how she may have gotten it: "Well, thanks I guess...", she'd reply, finding it hard to get her hand off her hair, adjusting her ponytail one last time before letting her hand drape down to rest beside her hip.
Seeing the card flung her way brough her back to attention, a quick swipe of her hand to catch it and let her eyes look over her contacts. She memorized it them immediately, but nonetheless slipped the card in her pocket and nodded, that pleased smirk widening as the experienced woman accepted her offer:
"'iight, U.A. has this internship program we all gotta go through.", she shrugged almost dismissively, clearly she never cared much for that, but now that she actually knew a hero she wouldn't really mind interning under, that option didn't seem so bad. Not when she was hoping to fight her again some other time: She'd learned a lot from her fights at the martial arts club, just how much stronger would she get after interning under a Pro Hero? She was pretty curious about finding tat out, "I'll hit you up when I hear more about it, and we'll talk about that fight." The smile widened into a grin, but as the crowd began stampeding towards the famous hero, Kanna took it as her cue to back off: "Guess I'll leave you to your adoring fans... See ya..!", shooting one last look at the imposing hero, the hacker waved, and pivoted on one heel, heading off to grab her jacket and tend to her own business. Yeah, she really should start thinking about what to do with that internship...
