Nick could not help but feel somewhat guilty as he rose from his bed into inky darkness. This was not his house, and so the food it contained was not his food. While he had been sleeping at this house and eating its food for several weeks now, he wondered how much longer its real owners were going to tolerate this for. He could not help but feel he was taking advantage of them. Perhaps Nari did not necessarily feel such a way, but for all he knew her mother could have…
Even so, his stomach rumbled like an earthquake. He knew he could not just ignore it if he wanted to get a good night’s sleep – not that he had gotten much of that anyway as of late, nightmares of a familiar voice screaming that it hated him waiting for him every time he shut his eyes.
Shuddering as he did his best to forget this, he banished the darkness with a flick of a switch and emerged into a corridor. He moved as slowly and stealthily as possible so as not to wake anyone. That what the last thing he needed right then. He made for the kitchen. He did not want anything big: just a packet of crisps or a chocolate bar would do, surely. Then maybe he would sleep again – or at least be able to attempt to.

It was a tough night, tougher than most of her other escapades. Luckily she only escaped with a few scratches and a rather large cut on her leg, it wasn't anything she couldn't handle though. Nari finally made her way back to her home, looking down at her torn and bloody garments. She even got blood in her hair, gross. She was a bit disappointed about her clothes, it was one of the very first things she had made for herself and now it was scratched and torn. She could always sew it to fix it or she could just make another. Anyway, she should wash it before assessing the major damage to the garment. She saw the kitchen light was on, perhaps her mom had gotten up to get something, she usually did every once in a while, seeing her when she came home from her missions. Nari opened the back door, leading into the kitchen, and walked inside, wanting to head up and take a shower as soon as possible. A bath was more her style but she didn't really want to sit in a tub of watery blood.
Nari began unbuttoning her top, removing the sticky, torn garment from her body as she made her way into the kitchen. At least she remembered to wear a dark colored bra, the blood would never come out if she wore a light colored one instead. She undid her hair before making eye contact with the boy who just so happened to be in the kitchen at this time of night. So it wasn't her mother after all. She stared back at him, blinking once, realizing what the current situation was. A girl, half naked, wearing blood covered, torn and tattered clothes, staring back at a boy, whom she was unrelated to, getting a late night snack. Shit, it was too late to go back, she couldn't think of an excuse on the fly either that would convince the other of where she was or what she had been doing. "...I can explain," she said looking at him. She didn't even feel embarrassed that he could see her bra, it could always be worse.

Nick rummaged around in a drawer and, unsatisfied with his findings there, opened the refrigerator and settled on a yoghurt. Yoghurts were a great deal healthier than crisps and chocolate, he supposed.
He was in the middle of opening said yoghurt when he heard the door. Did Nari’s mother work late? Great, he had no idea what he was going to say to the woman, whom he had rather tried to avoid since he had begun living in her house. He glanced over – and froze, for it was not Nari’s mother, but Nari herself.
That Nari was out at such a time was a mystery all on its own, but it was not that which made Nick stare. No, what made him stare was the fact she was covered in enough blood to fill a tub – and the exposed bra really did not help in the slightest even if the blood was significantly more important.
“Rough night, I take it?” he asked.
When she had first brought him here she had joked about being a cannibal – at least, Nick had assumed it was a joke at the time. Now, he was not so sure. His throat was suddenly very dry. He put the yoghurt down, readying himself on the inside to spring into action. On the outside his eyes did not leave her, prepared for even the smallest movement – though they kept moving back to her bra. A part of his brain pointed out the ‘covered in blood’ look was actually pretty hot and the rest of his brain yelled at this part to shut up.
He certainly hoped she had a damn good explanation.

Rough night? She supposed she had one of those. "Sure...we'll call it that," she said, setting her bloodied shirt by the door before going over to the fridge and grabbing some water, feeling rather parched. Sure she had drank plenty of blood out on her little run, but now she wanted something to cleanse her pallet and calm down a bit. Nari drank some of her water before putting it down on the counter. Much better! Nari took her shoes and socks off, heading over to put them by her shirt before going to the sink to wash her hands before she covered anything else in blood. She grabbed a towel to dry her hands off before looking at Nick, realizing he was still standing there, quite clueless in fact.
"I could tell you know, but I feel gross covered like this. Unless you don't mind me stripping right here, I think I'm going to take a shower before I explain myself," Nari said with a blank expression. She supposed she would tell him, seeing as she couldn't find a way out of the current situation. Before she would take a shower, she wanted some of her favorite candies to help her relax. The brunette grabbed her step stool, setting it down in front of the counter so she could reach the cabinet above. Curse those contractors, making her cabinets so high up. The green eyes of the girl narrowed, locking on the thing she wanted most; her sour lemon candies that hid behind her tea bags. She grabbed the bag before shutting the cabinet and stepping down from the stool, putting it back when she reached the floor again. Nari reached her hand in the bag and popped a candy into her mouth, giggling once the sour taste of it hit her taste buds, sending tingles down her spine.
Nari turned to look at Nick once more, in somewhat or a ready stance as he looked back at her. What was he doing? Trying to strike a pose or something. "If you think I'm going to hurt you, then you're wrong. If anything, you'd have a one up on me, seeing as you aren't scratched or bruised compared to me," Nari said, swishing the sour candy in her mouth. The adrenaline rush she was on had faded on her way home, now more tired than anything. A nice warm shower and her comfy bed sounded really good right now, but would not come until she had explained something to the noirette. He really was a strange guy, having lived with him for a few weeks now seemed to prove so.

Nick remained poised, wondering how the hell Nari could appear so calm in her situation. He slowly, carefully considered he words. He supposed if Nari wanted to eat him she would have done so already, therefore she was probably telling the truth when she said he had nothing to worry about. She also did have a point that he was currently in a much better condition to fight than her.
Still, none of that changed the fact she was covered in blood, which was likely not entirely her own. He doubted she would be that bloody if all she had done was pop down to the local convenience store.
He wanted to ask her what the hell had happened, who’s blood that was, whether she did this often, did her mother know about any of it and seriously just what in God’s name was going on. He opened his mouth and…
“You can strip if you want,” he said, followed by the horrifying punch to the face realisations that that was absolutely not what he had meant to say and he had said it out loud. “I mean – shit – I don’t know what I mean!” His face could not have grown any more obscenely red.
Please let me wake up now, he groaned in his mind. I’ve had enough of this dream!

Nari looked at him and blinked. Did he...did he really just say that out loud. The green eyed girl couldn't help but giggle at the words he had said, even seeing how red his face was because of what he said. What a dirty pervert! He did want to see her naked! She was sure he had enough exposure to her, as he's probably seen her undergarments and the such plenty of times while he's been here. Although, he has yet to see her fully in the nude...that was a challenge waiting to be met. "Hehehe of course you would say something like that, pervert~" she teased him, sticking her tongue out at him, appearing normal to the human eye. "I guess...I could give you a little something to...stimulate the senses~" she said, removing her tattered skirt, revealing a pair of matching underwear to go with her brassiere. She gathered her bloodied clothes and handed them to Nick, "You've been here long enough to know how to run the washer, can you be a dear and throw these in please? I appreciate it~" she said with a small smirk before she made her way upstairs to clean up. She had no shame, it wasn't like she was doing anything wrong, this was her house after all. Why should she act any different?
He really was a fun one to tease~ Nari made her way to her bedroom and grabbed some clean pjs and undergarments before making her way to the bathroom, getting the shower water ready before taking off the remaining articles of clothing she had on. A soft sigh left Nari's lips, feeling the water wash away the still wet and also dried blood against her skin and hair, wanting nothing more than to feel clean after a night of villainy. She wouldn't take too long, considering how impatient Nick could be sometimes. She made sure to scrub her body and hair free of blood, not wanting to leave a trace of it on her body. A clean Nari was a happy Nari, although getting a little dirty never hurt anyone~ She made sure to clean the scrapes, big and small, on her body before deciding she was completely cleaned. She turned the water off and stepped out of the shower, drying her freshly cleaned body off and hanging her towel up. She changed into a comfy cream pj set, slipping on her pink slippers before making her way back downstairs, toweling her hair off in the process. She supposed now she should fill Nick in on the details of what had happened.

Nick stammered like a complete blithering idiot, which was exactly how he felt; “No, it’s not like that, I’m not…”
He trailed off as she teasingly removed her skirt, eyes completely wide and glued. That was certainly not how he had expected her to react; he had been anticipating violent retaliation. His trousers were suddenly a hell of a lot tighter. His brain was no longer saying anything of sense. His tongue ran across his lips and he made a move to grab her, only to receive her clothes instead.
He opened his mouth to protest, but she was already gone and making her way to the shower. He stood there for a moment before some clarity returned to him and a hand immediately slapped the side of his face.
“What the fuck am I doing?” he cried. “She’s not the one…” But ‘the one’ despised him with every fibre of her being, as his night terrors loved to remind him. No thanks to his own actions. All he had wanted was to feel loved, just for once in his miserable mess of a life, but he had ended up destroying things forever and making them infinitely worse.
Being reminded of this horrible truth made him feel nauseous. He shook his head, regretfully dealing with the clothes as asked as fast as possible and then making for his bedroom. He knew he would not sleep, but his intention was to bury himself in the sheets and try and block out the world regardless.

Nari made her way back downstairs only to find Nick was not there. Did he go back upstairs? The brunette headed into the laundry room, seeing as he had done what she asked. Good boy. She returned to the kitchen to grab her bag of sour candies, only to see he had forgotten the yogurt he opened for himself. She made sure to grab that and her water before heading back upstairs to the room he used to sleep, seeing it was left just a bit open but the light had been out inside. "I'm coming inside," the green eyed girl spoke in a soft voice, knowing her mother was asleep just down the hall, before pushing the door open and turning on the light, setting the snacks down before closing the door behind her. "You left this downstairs," the brunette said, poking Nick's shoulder and holding the yogurt out he had forgotten.
Once he had sat up and taken the yogurt from her, she grabbed her sour candies and water before sitting down on the open spot on the bed. "So, I suppose I should explain myself," she said before taking a drink of water. "Think of it as, repaying the debt for me letting you stay here," she spoke, setting the water off to the side for later. With a sigh, she looked over at Nick and calmly spoke, "I'm actually a villain. When you saw me just a bit ago, I was out on a mission. I wasn't going out for someone else, I went out for me. I had to get back at a certain individual who had crossed me. Unlikely enough, they seemed to have brought backup, knowing I would pull something like this. Overall, I managed to win but they had gotten some cuts and scratches of me before I could finish them off. I'm not really hurt or anything, but that was the reason I had all that blood on me walking inside. I killed them," Nari said with a bit of a shrug of her shoulder. How else was she supposed to phrase something like that? Ketchup? "So yeah, that is the basics of what happened. Now you know," the green eyed girl said, looking over at Nick with a blank expression on her face. He'd probably be horrified to know she was a villain, not many people knew she was. She trusted him though, and she hoped he could trust her as well.

Nick reached his bed and threw himself onto it with so much force it was a wonder he did not break it. He had barely buried himself into the pillow when he heard Nari at the door, however.
He groaned. In his current state, he really did want to be left alone to stew. He rose reluctantly as she poked his shoulder and took the yoghurt from her, which he set down on the table beside the bed.
He supposed he still did want to know what the hell had happened to her. He sat and listened to her explanation.
“I see,” he said dumbly at the end of her explanation, surprised at how straightforward she was.
‘Villain’ he knew to be the term given to any Quirker who stepped outside society’s boundaries. To most of his native England, the Gifted Underground were villains for their willingness to use violence to draw attention to their cause. Nick did not agree: their cause was just, and the reason they used violence was because the peaceful, law-abiding methods of drawing attention had not worked.
Nari had not given her reasons for doing what she did, at least not yet, but nothing was ever simple. Besides, it was not like she was the first villainous individual he had spent time with. Nor was he an innocent angel himself…
“Well, I’m glad you’re okay at least.” He did mean that. “I mean, it’s not like I can judge you. You know I hurt another student…” He paused to brace himself as those memories came clawing back, his body tensing. “Badly. So badly I can’t ever go back to Yuuei. And then there was the time I poked someone’s eye out.” Not that the someone in question had not deserved it completely. “And before that, there’s the fact I was raised by a group most people consider villains where I’m from. I killed other children to prove myself strong enough for them.” He laughed, bitter and mirthless. “So maybe I’m a villain. I don’t know anymore.”
He looked back to her and his eyes wandered down her body with minds of their own. He caught himself and quickly looked away again. His mind was an emotional wreck, but his body was so frustrated it just did not care, apparently. Not that his crushing loneliness helped.
“Sorry,” he muttered.

When she finished speaking briefly about her whereabouts tonight, she was surprised to see Nick react in the way he did. No screaming, no look of terror in his face, just...calm. Almost indifferent to what she had done. Was he trying not to show his fear in front of her? That was up for debate, but she didn't think that was the case. Nari took another sip of water before turning her attention back to Nick, even popping a candy into her mouth, the sour taste flooding her taste buds. She heard him speak and say he was glad she was alright. The words in and of itself were quite sweet, not expecting the noirette to day something like that to her. She supposed they were 'friends' at this point, but still. She had only ever heard those words from her parents.
A soft smile fond it's way onto her face, appreciating the sentiment. She didn't respond as Nick began talking once more, telling her what he had done. He had harmed a classmate of his, to the point he couldn't even return to the school he belonged to. Perhaps he severely injured her, breaking her bones, leaving her on the brink of death, something extreme like that. She wondered what he did exactly but did not voice her suspicion, instead leaving it in the dark recesses of her mind to wander. What he said next was shocking, poking someone's eye out, could this be like a joke or... Was he the one who hurt Big Sister? She had told her and the villain chat that a U.A. student ripped her eye out. Was Nick the one that did it? Not that she cared much for Big Sister anyway, she was just surprised that a person like Nick was able to do something like that.
The dark haired teen even told Nari how he killed other children back home, just to prove to those older than him that he was strong and not someone to be messed with. A dark side hmm~? Interesting. Perhaps he wasn't all about being proper and such, hiding such deep stories behind that sturdy outer wall. Perhaps he was a villain but just hadn't learned to call himself one just yet. Maybe he needed a little push...but not right now. The teen seemed fragile enough as is, considering his body shaking slightly and his eyes wavering. The green eyed girl reached her free hand out to gently rub his back, trying to comfort the other in a way she knew how. "Perhaps, but that's only for you to determine. How do you want your life to go from here? Do you want to make up for all the bad actions that you have done in the past or do you want to continue on the path you are currently on? The choice is yours and yours alone Nick," she told him, not even realizing he was looking her up and down. She didn't know what his little apology at the end meant, perhaps he was sorry for what he had done, perhaps it was something else plaguing his mind. Nari wouldn't push any more than needed, he was a broken boy torn up about what to do from here on out.

Nick fell silent as Nari rested a hand on him and began to speak. He would never have expected someone who had just confessed to murder to attempt to be – sympathetic? Encouraging? He was not sure, but it was certainly not hostility she was showing him.
When she finished, he let out a long, strained sigh from the depths of his soul.
“That’s something I’m still trying to figure out, I suppose.”
Which was much easier said than done. With his mind in an utter shambles – hell, ‘shambles’ was a generous term – it was a struggle for him to so much as get out of bed on a morning, let alone figure out what he wanted to do with himself.
He considered what she said about making up for his bad deeds and immediately scowled. What he had done to Rin was not something Yuuei would just give him a simple detention for. They would not want him back. If any other students knew, he had little doubt they would try to kill him on sight. There was no return from it.
“But I need to do something.”
Resolve came surging back to him from nowhere hotter than molten magma. He had shown far, far too much weakness to Nari, and that would not do. His body tensed and his fingers dug into his trousers.
“I’m still going to fight for us Quirkers.” The fire had come back to his voice, too. “Maybe in a different way than I might have at Yuuei, but that’s okay by me. As long as I can bring about a better world for us…” A world where the strong ruled. “Then I’m fine.”
His eyes wandered to her again, somewhat undermining his attempt to be serious, and he quickly forced himself to look away. “That was incredibly cruel what you did back there with your skirt, you know. Especially if you intend to just leave it at that.” No weakness. No letting his emotions mess with what his body was apparently desperate for. Not that he expected her to take him seriously in the slightest. He was not entirely sure if he was being serious himself.

She couldn't quite say she felt what he did, she never regretted becoming a villain. She wanted to follow in the footsteps of her father and get revenge on the people that put him in jail in the first place. Her other supported her, her father supported her, it was just that the rest of the world was against her beliefs. Nick, on the other hand, was still trying to figure out what he wanted to be in life. Did he want to choose the side of good or evil? That was something only he could decide for himself, it was his choice after all. She listened to him, saying her had to, no, he needed to do something, but what exactly that something was was unbeknownst to the green eyed girl. It might take some time before he figures himself out, there was nowhere he needed to go so it seemed he had plenty of time in the world.
What he said next surprised her, wanting to fight for those with quirks. She wasn't sure if she meant those with mutation quirks or people with quirks in general, either way this was Nick's dream, not hers. She smiled when she heard him say he still wanted to fight, wanting to bring about a different and better world for the people to live in. "I think that's really sweet. I certainly won't stop you from wanting to achieve your dream. You have my support," Nari said, popping another candy into her mouth.
Nari watched as Nick looked at her once before turning away, what exactly was he thinking? Cruel? In what way was that cruel? "Hmm? How so? I could have done my laundry but you were standing there so I assumed you wouldn't mind," she said before listening to what else he had to say. Did he have a problem with her stripping in front of him? It was her house, she didn't think he would mind all that much. "Leave what at that? I merely discarded my bloodied clothes so I could cleanse myself of the remaining blood on my body and hair. I see no problem with it," she told him before watching him shift slightly. She peered down and saw the front of his pants appeared to be...strained. ...Did he? Nari covered her hand with her mouth, trying her best not to laugh. He got a stiffy from seeing her half clothed. It was pretty funny actually? she didn't think he'd react in such a way with the stoic personality he had. Once she had calmed down a bit, she removed her hand and looked at Nick. "If you need help, all you need to do was ask~" she said with a small smirk.

Nick’s eyes narrowed in a slight frown. Good God she was literal-minded. Or at the very least, not terribly good at grasping what he actually meant. Perhaps he was not being clear enough.
He watched her eyes lower down, and his own did the same – immediately going wide as his cheeks burned bright red. Had he really done it again just from thinking about her like that? He shuffled, but there was no hiding it.
No, no, what had he just thought to himself? It would do him no good to keep denying his increasingly frustrated body, even if his mind still yearned for someone else – someone it would never have, but did not seem capable of accepting this fact. He wondered if it ever would.
But that was not what was important right then.
“Yeah,” he said. “As a matter of fact, I do. If you would be so kind…”
He did not wait for an answer, not wanting to give her a chance to back out and leave him with certain parts of his anatomy bluer than the clear summer sky. He attempted to wrap his arms around her and pull her into a crushing kiss that showed exactly how desperate for affection he truly was.

Seeing his flustered and flushed face made her chuckle, she didn't think a guy like that could get so flustered at seeing such a sight. It was only a normal sight, it's not like she meant it to be arousing on purpose. He seemed a bit hesitant in his feeling, shifting just a bit away from her, embarrassed by what he had just instigated. Nick was a confusing individual, but that's what she liked about him. She wanted to learn more, she was always looking for answers no matter where they came from. His mind thought one thing, but his actions and words said another thing. "Hmmmm, I-!" she began speaking but was cut off as she felt the taller wrap his arms around her, pulling her closer and pressing his lips against her own in a heated embrace. My my, how at a loss for affection he was. Nari chuckled into the kiss, letting the poor boy do what he needed, what a poor frustrated boy he was.
Nari gently gripped Nick's arms, doing her best to hold on as his lips dominated her own. The brunette closed her eyes, feeling his tongue slip into her awaiting mouth, taking control over the situation. In a way, it felt strange to the girl, in another instance it felt familiar. A soft noise left her muffled lips as his hands wrapped around her smaller frame tighter, as if he wasn't going to let her go, not now, not ever. The girl's eyes widened as she felt him push her back onto the bed below them, knocking her bag of sour candies onto the floor, some falling out of the bag. Damn, she'd have to yell at him later, right now she could do no such thing. What a strange predicament the girl had found herself in.
