Yes, Kanna had yet to have a proper chance to blow off steam the Close Quarters Combat area of the miltary base, but hopefully today she might have a chance to rectify that. Last time she wound up completely distracted by the weapons in the experimental testing grounds, and recieved a nasty lump on her head plus an embarassing trip to the med bay. She'd never felt quite as dumb as after asking that girl Yumi if she'd gotten her camo bikini from the military, enough to make her wonder if that head injury hadn't resulted in brain damage or anything of the sort... Thankfully, she experienced no other further surges of stupidity, enough to reasonably conclude all she really needed was a little rest to get over it. Though not as absurdly frustrated as during the days immediately after that three day drill instruction from hell, the blonde still obviously had a chip on her shoulder with the army's name on it, and quickly remembered it whenever she saw those smug looking soldiers looking down on the students just for having Quirks. The Colonel was by far the worst example, and she saw how some of the army folks weren't even that bad. Yet that generally bad (and accurate) first impression stuck to Kanna the whole way, enough she once more came clad in her usual style, black sportswear, with the kind of look on her face hinting at a desire for a scuffle. This time, she'd actually reached the Combat training area, and approached a mock building, advertising an Urban Combat exercise: "Oi oi, girlie... This is a Close Quarters Course for Commando Training, you know what that means?", said one of the guys at the entrance, raising his palm before her, shaking his head with that annoyingly cocky grin that just made her click her tongue. Yes, she could deal with arrogance often enough, she herself could easily show the same side when put face to face with a somewhat interesting opponent... Thing is, none of these guys interested her in the slightest. They'd pretty much come all the way here to flex on Quirkers and show them all how useless they all were against trained military. A publicity stunt, really, and that... That really pissed her off, so much she didn't even care about what the guy said next, "You need at least a team of four to even have a chance at clearing the course. Guns may be airsoft but they really hurt you know?" "It says nothing about a minimum number, so I don't care.", retorted the blonde, narrowing her eyes and staring the guy down. Clearly she wasn't going anywhere and for once the soldier knew she was right, "I'm going in." Somewhat irked by her confidence, the soldiers nonetheless sighed, their own cockiness not giving way for even a second as they stepped aside and opened the way for the solo player: "Have it your way... We'll call the medics in advance, they should be here shortly.", he and his buddy snickered quite a bit over this, it sounded almost like they had no other means of amusement around these parts. Pitiful... Trying her best to contain her annoyance, Kanna merely sighed and walked onwards...

Akane Satsuki "I'm sure that one can tour the combat zone without getting into a fight, right?" Crimson Hare The combat area… I didn’t really want to come here but… The green gaze that the girl possessed rolling over her surroundings and making her feel that bit more nervous as she spied souls both of a military and civilian persuasion who seemed to stand with pride and purpose, had she been in her bunny form right now the long ears of Akane Satsuki would be drooping rather low indeed given the activity she had been engaged in recently. It might be better to put some space between me and the rescue zone. As much as I can get, really? Bumping into an old friend and alongside this handsome, white haired man created a ruckus and even been involved in a brawl, the reputation that the redhead held in being a well behaved and polite person seemed to be in danger of being lost for good given the impulsive but to her mind just actions she had taken.
The bus doesn’t set off back to campus for a good few hours yet, unfortunately… Feeling it might be better to lie low for the time being and slinking off to the least likely sector of the park that anyone who knew her might have thought to look, whilst still wearing her casual mix of sports gear, Miss Satsuki strolled around with her head hanging a little bit low because of what had gone on. Certainly some portions of the activity a success and even proud of herself for certain aspects of the deed she had dabbled in alongside a man with wild white hair, all the same the teen felt she might be looking for trouble in she lingered in the place and so had sought an escape in something that made her rather uncomfortable really.
I suppose there’s nothing really saying I have to get involved in the stuff around here, I can just try to relax and wait things out as the heat dies down… Moving in a slightly sheepish fashion and fiddling with her fingers in front of herself as the anxious Akane reassured herself that she could just relax for the rest of the day, while it might have been a bit of a waste of her day out at this learning event, it seemed much better than the alternative really. A fairly competent martial artist thanks to prior training and then the rigorous courses and sparring she had done with fellow students in hr school, despite the skill she possessed the redhead was not one to really throw herself into a fight for the simple sake of it.
Preferring to only resort to acts of violence as a last resort to protect others and herself, while some probably saw that as a cowardly or meek trait there seemed little she could do about the opinions of others really. Through some mix of being a social outcast and also having a sense of justness that felt like her guiding principal the girl somewhat stubborn in this regard, it was hard for Miss Satsuki to put her heart into combat that she felt served no purpose beyond bragging rights, so naturally she tended to do poorly when pressured into situations where she might need fight for a goal that seemed frivolous.
Oh god, I made ‘heat’ which needs to die down! Have I been a bad person? I hope mother doesn't find out... Furthermore having things on her mind that felt more important than showing off in some ring or mock battleground, the young bunny found that she had been given more than enough excuse to raise her dukes today and was not much up for the idea of going back on that word. Unfortunately, fates and other folk might have had different ideas, though…

“WAIT!” shouted an annoying voice belonging to an equally annoying blondie. The blondie in question often invited himself where no one asked him, and its unfortunate target of the day was another blonde. The blondie was Daimon Darren, club president of the U.A. High Martial Arts Club and the other blonde had the equally alliterative name of Kusanagi Kanna, and was a member of the same club.
The soldier at the entrance sighed. “You again, bird boy? Ain’t you have better to do all day than get shot in the ass?” “First of all, fuck off,” retorted Darren. “I’ll admit you were right, this shit is impossible to do alone, even with my quirk, but still, fuck off.” The soldier laughed. “Well, I can’t say you ain’t got guts. You tried that shit like ten times.” Indeed, Darren’s arms were covered in round red marks, and there were more under the green t-shirt he was wearing, and even more under the green camo pants and cotton boxers.
“You’re god damn fucking right I have guts. But I see how y’all dealin’ the cards here. I get it. this is military stuff. Y’all got men under your orders n’ shit. Well, guess what?” He clasped his arm energetically on Kanna’s shoulder. “Well, guess what! I got a martial arts club! What do you say, Kanna? Shall we show these fools how WE deal shit at U.A.?”
The soldier laughed again. “Well, so far I’m not impressed.” Darren shot him a murderous look, but with the same look he spied Akane in the corner of his eye. Cheer returned to his face in the blink of an eye and he joined his hands like a megaphone to call out the bunny girl, knowing damn well she hated attracting to attention like this. Her embarrassed reactions were always funny. “OI, AKANE, BRING YOUR ASS OVER HERE! THEM FOOLS THINK WE CAN’T TAKE THEIR SHITTY AIRSOFT COURSE! COME REPRESENT THE MARTIAL ARTS CLUB WITH US!”
He didn’t even wait for Kanna’s approval of this team-up or even for Akane to come. “Four minimum, you say? Fuck that shit. We only need three of us to fuck up your course.” Whether or not the two girls agreed was now irrelevant. Darren had an idea in his head, and he had a way to railroad people into doing the things he wanted with little concern for their approval of these things in the first place.

Before she could actually make her way inside though, a familiar voice had her turning her head back, that blonde ponytail whipping around after her. Darren huh...? She had a fair measure of respect for his skills, so long as he took things seriously instead of fucking around. And yes, she fully realized just how much he enjoyed to do so, and some level figured that had to be the reason why he'd been shot up by airsoft guns. His argument with the soldiers told her just how much fun he'd been having on this course, though mostly just having his ass kicked. "Hold up...!", she'd interrupt, brushing away his hand as she stared assertively into his eyes, raising one palm in his path, "Wait your turn, I'm going in first.", she'd state, shaking her head with a visible frown as she brought one hand to her hip.
Thing is, she wouldn't really force him out or anything; it didn't feel like she could without getting all territorial. Clearly Kanna had her eyes on other opponents, and wasn't about to waste her energy keeping out someone whose company didn't exactly bother her. When the soldier taunted her again though, she glared right back: "Oh you ain't gonna have time to feel impressed, don't worry.", sassed the blonde right back; while she appreciated it when opponents underestimated her and left all those openings to exploit (as Darren might know), one couldn't really smack talk a fierce gamer and fighter without expecting a comeback, "Hmm, Akane...? What up?" She only looked away from the stare down to look over the nearby Akane, looking all sporty and down for some action. Unlike Darren though, she made no attempts at approaching, though the club head would inevitably rope her into it. As a martial artist herself, she naturally understood how Akane's pacifism wasn't the same as weakness. She'd have never looked down on the girl for it, and judged her strength or weakness solely from what she could do with her gloves on, atop a tatami. Just like she'd never seen the girl in a life or death situation to properly assess her strength of will, or if that bashful nature would ultimately condition her performance. She had skill though, the blonde had seen as much in the occasional sparring session, and perhaps today she might witness how well she used that skill in something more closely resembling live combat - instead of a controlled training environment. In the end though, between two selfish blondes and one shy redhead, didn't look like these three had much in the way of teamwork... But after all that time spent working out at the martial arts club, they all knew how the others fought "Yare yare daze...", sighing, the blonde shook her head and shrugged, realizing she really didn't care enough to stop Darren or Akane from joining her. Instead, she looked at the soldiers still guarding the entrance, "Fine, you do you...", she'd relent, a smirk drawing on her lips as she punched her open palm, "They got enough grunts for all of us anyway."

Akane Satsuki "Time to get your game face on." Crimson Hare “OI, AKANE, BRING YOUR ASS OVER HERE! THEM FOOLS THINK WE CAN’T TAKE THEIR SHITTY AIRSOFT COURSE! COME REPRESENT THE MARTIAL ARTS CLUB WITH US!” Jolting as she heard the sound of the blonde foghorn as if she had been struck by lightning, as the man who seemed to only exist in order to create a scene boomed toward her, in all honesty Akane contemplated just walking along and pretending she hadn’t heard him. I could just… Keep walking, he’s kinda far away isn’t he? The manner in which she had heard the words something of a giveaway, as was her blush, if there was one person she didn’t want to spend her day with it was Darren. He’d literally just seen her and seemed to already wanted to get some kind of violent display going on, which while was classic Daimon, was very off-putting to the girl. Unfortunately he was also very good at being hard to ignore. If he’s like this now, imagine how he’ll be back at school if I snub him… Lingering for a moment or two as she weighed up the options and realizing that even if she retreated today that wouldn’t spare her much of the trouble to come, with a sigh that sagged her shoulder Miss Satsuki reluctantly drifted over to where the two blondes were standing, still not entirely sure what was going on really. Darren yelling about some airsoft course or something, did that mean they were gonna need to fire guns? That was certainly not her area of expertise, but for the moment the young bunny decided to wait things out a little dejectedly. “H-Hello, im K-Kanna-san…” Not particularly familiar in a friendly fashion with either member of her team but in a weird way the brash boy someone that she felt that she knew better than the girl he was with, while the young lady he was with was at least recognisable to the redhead because of how she recalled her sparring with the dreaded Daimon in the martial arts club, Akane still felt a little sheepish around her really. Not really the outgoing sort as she had observed, much like herself really, where the young bunny was timid and shy Kanna seemed to be surlier and in her own way more the sort to go with the flow. She’s a little intimidating… I wonder if other people find me that way when I clam up and stuff? Nah, she feels like she has a more innate ‘edge’ to her… Cool in her nature and admittedly also in the way that she looked, while the styles were totally different, the rabbit couldn’t help but envy that quiet confidence the girl seemed to possess. Nowhere near as overbearing as Darren was but brassy in her own right and bold in her fashion choices, compared to a girl who agonized over wearing even a one piece swimsuit in front of her class, Kanna’s unflappable nature seemed like something she would love to possess but on some level knew she never would. “S-So um, w-what’s going o-on here, again?” Confronted by not one but two people she could find reasons to be intimidated by, though she had taken strides in her time at UA in terms of social confidence, Miss Satsuki couldn’t help but stammer as she tried to deal with the nerves that she was given by her teammates and what might be waiting for them. Deciding that maybe she would feel a bit more at ease if she at least asked about the task but expecting given the involvement of Daimon meant that it was going to be nothing she would end up enjoying, the emerald eyed lass fidgeted a little and rubbed her arm, hoping this would be over quickly and as painlessly as possible…

“Hey hey,” said Darren. “Hey now. I did that shit before. Tried to. I hate to admit that shit, but if I couldn’t do it alone, you sure as fuck can’t either. Its not like fighting ten dudes at once. Trust me, having ten dudes shoot at you ain't the same shit. You ain’t got nowhere to go, and if it takes you one second to dodge, it takes them half that to adjust their aim. And it’s one hit and you’re out, so you can’t power through that shit either. I bet it’s hard to power through real bullets anyway.”
He said all this after having called Akane, who joined them in the middle. His mouth continued to produce words with seemingly no end in sight. “What’s going on is that them military dudes are underestimating out martial arts club.” He clasped Akane’s shoulder firmly. “I know you have that martial arts club pride in you, red bunny, I know you do.” He nodded with a serious look on his face, but his tone wasn’t.
“All right,” he said, and he switched from clasping Akane’s shoulder to hooking his arms around both girl’s necks, personal space be damned -- its not like they weren’t used to practicing choke holds on each other anyway -- and dragged them away from the soldier at the entrance, who looked at them with an amused look. “We needa plan. These dudes are boutta come from everywhere, and what they do is that while one shoots at ya they get another one to come around and fuck you in the ass. Metaphorically, but trust me, getting shot in the ass with bb’s stings all the same. I think. I'm only familiar with getting shot in the ass. We gotta do em the same. We gotta trick em’, go around and fuck THEM in the ass. I bet you they’ll think we’re just gonna charge in like in Normandy again. I sure as hell planted that impression. We gotta bet on that shit. Give em’ a taste of what we UA kids can do.”
He twisted his neck to look at Kanna. “Kanna, you’re smart. You be our control tower. Me and bunny there will be your goons. We’re stupid, but we run fast. Get us doing some pincer attack from hell or some shit. We gonna wipe them smug smiles off their damn faces. Sounds like a plan?”
Whether or not it did was of little importance to the delinquent, as he released the girls from his hold and headed towards the replica rack. He picked the same weapon as usual, the one he didn’t have to aim, the M1897 Trench Gun with the ejectable shells. It was a mean piece of wood and iron of a shotgun, ejecting realistic-looking cartridges filled with six millimeter plastic bb’s and a charge of CO2 to propel them in a spray in the general direction of its unfortunate victims.
With it, he strapped two ammunition belts in a X pattern across his chest, and with a paintball mask to complete it, he deemed himself ready. He looked like a bank robber.

"I keep tellin ya, don't need the '-san'. Just call me Kanna.", sighed the blonde, a hint of exhasperation as she rubbed behind her head. She looked over the redhead, already accustumed to her meekness. She didn't know how she acted around other people to have any real notion whether she was indeed this sheepish around everyone else, or just the gruff, assertive types like the two blondes. Indeed, whenever Darren spoke up the girl with tattoos shot him that aloof look as she so often did, sometimes betraying a hint of annoyance but for the most part treating him as an equal... Someone whose spirit she respected enough to strive to one day surpass: "Didn't stop ya from trying ten times.", Kanna raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms accusingly. Darren could be a dumbass, but he was no idiot. If he went to the trouble of doing trying it so much, he undoubtedly assumed he had a chance at winning. If he could, then she sure as hell could give it a go on her own sometime. Though he raised some fair arguments - enough for the blonde to sigh - she still had a firm idea of trying it herself. Perhaps she would, later, but the way things were going now it seemed like she'd really end up doing it with her Martial art clubmates, "Well, no matter, I ain't gonna stop you from going in if you really want to." And with that shrug and shake of her head, she merely scowled once more when Darren hooked his arms around her out of nowhere again. This time, she accepted it, as she'd much rather confine this strategy talk to whispers audible only to themselves. For him to say they needed a plan though... Kanna hung off every word, for she'd never actually seen him get so serious as to feel the need for one. "That's what happens if you let them pin you down for too long.", Kanna nodded, a cool assessment, sounding like that's exactly what she'd do in their situation. Looking between Darren and Akane, she pitched her own two cents, "They know the battlefield better than we do, so we gotta stay on the move the whole time, try to keep them from using their numbers against us. At the same time... You know how they fight, while they don't know how we do it. As far as knowing your enemy, we have the edge here." As she spoke, Kanna would eventually rest her hand on Darren's back. In a rare show of camaraderie, she'd bring her other hand around to Akane, and pull the girl into a trio. Their club president had the right idea, keeping their plans in house without giving those watchful soldiers the slightest hint of a clue. With serious eyes, Kanna nodded at Darren's suggestion, confident in her own analytical skills to exploit every bit of leverage she had on her enemies: "Iight, we'll go with that. If we start getting in each other's way, they'll just pick us off one by one... If we're going in together, might as well do it right.", in the end, the gamer's fighting spirit triumphed over her aloofness, as she realized you can't win a teamfight in Counter Assault if you're just trying to go solo... The opponents can still win by picking up kills off the teammates you're too content to ignore, "Let's stick to narrow pathways and stay on the move at all times. If we let em surround us with ten people, we're toast." With the closest semblance of a plan they could come up to in a minute, the three split up and went for the weapons rack in turn. Remembering her earlier training sessions, Kanna went for a weapon she knew all too well, an M16 assault rifle, plus a USP compact handgun she quickly strapped to her left thigh. Armed and ready, Kanna stood beside her two teammates as the guards once more stared at them with that smug, cocky look on their faces: "You girlies done whispering now?" Once Akane was ready, they could finally move in. Inside, they'd immediately come upon a wide area with plentiful cover. Kanna would avoid it like the plague - knowing they could get ambushed from all sides at any minute - signalling her teammates to rush for the nearest pathway they could find. They'd happen upon one with equally plentiful cover, realizing she'd much rather gamble against getting cornered in there, but only having to deal with two lines of fire instead of ten...
