A New Challenger Approaches (Akio)

The creature granted Akio's request and got off of him, grumbling at his apology. G introduced the creature as Goliath, Akio smiled towards him "Nice to meet you Goliath," he said to the creature before turning back to G, who then said that he battled well but misses confidence, he also said that he was resourceful and has good control over his quirk, he then asked if Akio could evaluate himself, and asked where he thinks he's lacking and what are his weak points and that they'd start there, Akio took a moment to think about it "I guess my main weak point is that I'm useless in combat without some kind of weapon, so I'd like to focus on weapons training if possible, being able to utilize a wide variety of weapons would be a big help, I also want to build strength, I'm not the strongest person so building muscle and power is also something I'm looking to improve upon," Akio said, continuing to think of what else he wants to work on "I'd also like to be more agile and able to move faster in combat, I was able to dodge Goliath but that's only because he was slow, I also doubt he was fighting at full strength and I still didn't manage to land a decent blow on him," Akio continued "That's all I can think of, for now at least," he finished, awaiting G's response

G took a moment to think and then responded to his evaluation. First thing he told him was that he needed to think of what weapon he wants to focus on and then he can branch out from there, for his strength he needs to hit the gym, which he had been doing but he'll be going more often now, and the agility we'll think about as we go on, he then confirmed that Goliath wasn't fighting at full strength, in fact he was fight at less than half of his power, which made Akio a little frustrated that he still lost but he didn't show it, G insisted that that was a good effort so he took his word for it, he also said that Akio could work on his agility and speed along with himself and Chise, Akio nodded "For my weapon I was considering a blunt weapon, I'd been pondering the idea of using a telescopic baton, considering it's an effective weapon and also fairly easy to carry around," he responded. G then asked him what his stance on vigilantes was, Akio took a moment to ponder the thought "I think that right now considering there's not an overwhelming number of heroes, they're helpful in suppressing crime, as long as they do it lawfully. Basically, I'm fine with them as long as they're not going out and killing or beating people near to death, in my opinion they should only use as much force as needed to subdue the criminal they're facing," he explained, he thought the question was a little strange but brushed it off as another one of G's tests

G nodded along with Akio's response to his questions, it seemed that G was satisfied with his answer. What came next was a bit of a surprise to Akio, but made sense thinking back on what happened since he met G, apparently G was a vigilante, like Akio said, he had no problem with that unless G was going around killing or nearly killing, but he didn't seem to be like that, so there was no problem with him. G continued on saying that he took Chise under his wing because he loves a good underdog story, and really who doesn't. He also mentioned he didn't expect anyone to ask who was training her and was even more surprised someone would seek him out. He said that Akio has his number and that he could expect his calls and that Akio should text him his school schedule so he can know when to do lessons and that was it, introductory lesson over, he was free to go "Alright, thank you G," he said with a slight bow to show some respect to his new master, he followed G out of the alley and they then went their seperate ways, Akio made sure to save G's number in his phone and would send him a copy of his class schedule once he got back to his dorm room, he walked off with a smile, knowing that he could finally get stronger made him happy
