The stress of the destruction while also losing one of his more prized employees left him barring the full weight of his company on his shoulders. He would have to sell his own stock at this point just to have investors buy into his wares. It wasn't what he wanted, but it was his plan B if it continued to roll downhill. With the QED still floating around, he was holding onto the last moment to release the cure. As soon as the school thought they figured it out, the blend would change, and it would go public. And the man who manufactured it, was also the only one who cracked the cure. [Mr.Sato PM@Abaddon:] . . . What are you good at, exactly? [Abaddon@Mr Sato DM:] Melee combat, infiltration, being relatively unnoticed, snooping about, breaking things/people [Mr.Sato PM@Abaddon:] Right right. Perhaps we should meet. Where are you staying? I can send a car to pick you up. [Abaddon@Mr Sato DM]: I'll meet you outside the Vega Arcade. So, he was at the arcade. Sato knew only as much that he was a student, and the one that had harmed Big Sister. With someone willing to go that far to do his deeds, he was sure this child was reckless and untameable, but should he give enough pay, perhaps he would be able to direct his hate towards the people Sato found to inconvenience him. He had stumbled upon a chatroom that was his direct line to other scum of the city. He had them all at his finger tips. If he needed help, it was there. In fact, that was where he was at now. He sat in the back seat of the car, his driver was already on his way to the address. He sent a text to the former student, alerting him of the black sedan that awaited him outside of the venue. The windows were tinted to let minimal, if any light in. There was no way to tell who was in the car, other than the custom plates that all of his vehicles had. "18 KC" was the plate of this car, having the prefecture where it should be, and the numbers even lighting up at sundown. A luxury vehicle, something Sato had bought far too many of. He would sit behind the driver, his hands placed in his lap as his cell was slipped into the pocket of his suit. He would await one of his newest employees. One, he was prepared to treat just as well as he was. ~ 371+ ~

Most dropouts would be fuming with jealousy at the amount of job offers Nick was getting, of that he was certain. He leaned against the arcade building, careful to keep to the shadows, though he had made sure to dress in a thick hoodie with the hood pulled up over his head – stolen, naturally. The slightly too short trousers were the ones Nari had given him, though. He could not risk anyone from Yuuei happening by and recognising him, not after what he had done and what he was about to do.
He may have talked a big talk on Susamu’s stupid chat network, but the truth was he was a lost, broken and confused young man who had fucked up big time, knew he had and had little else to turn to. Thus, he would turn to just about any offer thrown his way, such as the one that had brought him here. Anything to get back on his feet, he told himself.
At least he knew from the things spoken of by the others on that network that this ‘Mr Sato’ was a big deal, on the same level as Amadeus and Thunder.
Nick’s phone buzzed to alert him of the car that had arrived to pick him up: a fancy black sedan with tinted windows. He really was like Amadeus. At least this encounter was by Nick’s own will. Nick hesitated for a moment, all too aware that he could approach the car and a storm of bullets could explode from the window. Then again, if Sato wanted him dead, why not just send an assassin? Coming all the way out by himself was far too much trouble just to kill one former student.
With a heavy sigh, Nick approached the vehicle.

"Hurry up and get in, I haven't got all day." The window of the backseat would roll down just an inch to show the top of the man's head and to allow his voice to escape the cabin of the car. The man in the gray suit would look over, without turning his head to see the boy. With just a quick glance, he spoke again. "I've seen worse. Hurry up."When he got in and got seated, as soon as the door would close the driver would make his way off. It didn't matter if the boy was buckled in or not. Sato was a busy man, and had a lot of things to take care of. With his own daughter having a hand in the destruction, he had meetings after meetings to ensure the safety of the patients that were involved. But still he held a calm face, even though from behind his mask he was screaming on the inside. "We'll skip the small talk." he would tell the boy, "I can only assume that without a dorm to sleep in, you've had quiet a lot to adjust to." Sato would assume his own homelessness based on his appearance alone. "We're going to head to one of my labs, where we're testing a few new blends." Turning to him, he would give a small smile, only to look back forward to the driver. "Consider it initiation. If you can endure the drug, I'll gladly give you 500,000 Yen. Should you you fail, I'll give you 250,000 Yen. For entertaining me, should you do it or not, I'll give you 100,000 Yen just for the visit." He would give a little laugh, scoffing at the idea of it. "Time is money. Trust me, I won't waste a second."~ 300 ~

Nick glanced around to make sure no one was looking before drawing closer to the car. He was met with a dour-faced individual who honestly looked like a corpse, so where he got off insulting Nick’s appearance was beyond him. The icy waves coming off this man could have frozen lava.
Nick was not going to let himself be bothered by any of it, however. He merely scoffed himself.
“What, not even a ‘hello’?” he drawled as dry as the Sahara desert. “Not going to offer me a cup of tea or anything like that? Tch. To think even Thunder was more hospitable.”
Still, he did as he was told and climbed into the car. It sped off without delay. Nick resisted a shiver. He sat up straight and tried to exude as much confidence as possible. He said nothing at Sato’s remark about his current sleeping conditions. He was not going to give away that he was currently living with Nari. It would be rather rude to give Nari’s name out to such people, and he did not want anyone to find him at her house.
As he listened to Sato’s rather blunt offer, he maintained a calm and neutral demeanour on the outside, but on the inside alarm bells screamed. He had little clue what kind of ‘blends’ Sato was talking about, but having seen the QED and its effects and having felt those, he knew he wanted no part in it.
He may have been knocked down, but he still had his pride. He was no one’s guinea pig. No amount of money was worth more to Nick than sacrificing his dignity, which he still believed he had despite it all.
“Sounds tempting,” he said, complete with a thoughtful chin stroke. “But I don’t think that’s for me. I could find you someone instead, though. I could even help you test them.”

With a smile, Sato was pleased to hear those words. While he wanted to see if the boy would even take the offer, to exchange to make someone else do it would be just as interesting. Perhaps at the school, he had experienced something darker with the failed drug. Perhaps such a test would be stupid to ask with the past of a bad trip. With a hum, she thought it over. ". . . See, I knew you were a bright one." Sato was pleased with the idea of getting two birds with one stone. Perhaps the meeting would be cut short, having send him off on his own mission to bring someone in for the testing, or maybe he would like to see the facilities anyways? There was plenty to ask, but no words for him to offer the child. "Then can I trust you to bring me them alive at least?" he would ask him, "Preferably with both eyes, those things are worth perfectly good money."Human trafficking. It was not a great source of money, but with so many people passing in and out of his hospitals, as well as his other means, it was tough to argue that it wasn't easy money. With each donor, or each unlisted person that appeared, with or without quirks, their bodies were greatly beneficial to his research, as well as his wallet. "Then, when we get there, I will personally serve you your tea, or whatever small snack you desire. If you were truly hungry, or parched you should have spoken up before I arrived." Sato would tell the boy with a smile on his face. Children were always so interesting, especially ones who disregarded society. It wasn't long before they arrived anyhow. ". . . Unless you prefer a vending machine dinner?"~ 304~

Nick needed money. That was a cold, harsh fact. His pride was too much for him to allow himself to be experimented on even for cash, but he would throw others to the wolves for that same cash if he had to. And currently, he had to. As much as he twisted inside, for he did not know what kind of experiments these were, and if they were anything like Thunder’s QED then he seriously doubted they would be beneficial to Quirkers…
His head jerked up abruptly as the car reached its destination. He tried not to narrow his eyes when Sato offered he follow him inside. No. Nick was smart enough to know polite offers of food and drink came with the risk of poison. Particularly when the offer came from someone who had literally just expressed an interest in experimenting on him. With that in mind, going into this guy’s house would be foolish beyond compare. He remained fixed to his seat.
“No, I’m good, thank you,” he replied. “The vending machines aren’t as bad as you think they are.”
Complete sarcasm, of course; he had Nari and her cooking. Her very good cooking. Not that this guy needed to know it was sarcasm.
“Just tell me what kind of person you want me to bring you,” he continued. “And I’ll do that as quickly as possible.”

If he wasn't going to follow him inside, then what was the point of offering him candy... I mean money. Sato wasn't so cold hearted that he wasn't going to keep his word. For visiting, he was going to get his pay, but not subjecting himself to his own tests, putting his own life on the line was not something to pay for. If anything, whoever was brought to him would receive a much larger pay than he would. "I'm in no rush." Sato would say as the car slowed to a stop. The driver would exit the vehicle, only for Sato to open his own door, lifting his hand as if to tell that suit that he was find doing things himself. "I don't care who, or what you bring to me. Everyone has value, even scum." Lifting his ass off of the seat, he would rise to a stance standing outside of the car. "Take the kid wherever he tells you. Be his conferrer for the day. When he's done, consider your day over. I don't care if it's only to drop him off at his friends or back at a public bath." Sato would say to the driver, only for him to nod and get back into the car. Peeking his head from above the car, under the top of the door opening, he spoke out to Nick. "I don't care what you bring to me. Make it worth my time." He would say it without a single expression of distaste, nor enjoyment. It was all simply business. "My driver will take you wherever you want to go. Consider him yours for the evening." He would say to him, perhaps talking much, much more than he was needing to. "Is there anything else you wish to ask me before I tend to other things?" he would ask, just in case there was one more thing on his mind. You just never knew with these kids. ~ 328 ~

Nick tried not to narrow his eyes at Sato. The Arctic was probably warmer than the atmosphere between them.
“No,” he answered. “I’ll see you when I bring someone.”
When Sato was gone, he resisted a weary sigh. The things he had been reduced to. ‘Shame’ did not begin to cover it. Some great champion and beacon he was, running errands like this...
“Kindly take me back to the arcade you found me at,” he ordered the driver. “Thank you.”
The driver sped off without a word to him. Nick was hardly one to try and make conversation either, instead leaning back into his seat and withdrawing into himself.
Who the hell did he bring? The question stuck in his mind like a bad piece of food in his throat. Sato made it sound like any random person off the street would do, but Nick felt differently. It had to be someone with an at least halfway useful Quirk. Whatever these tests were, they would be wasted on someone with nothing to offer.
Then, just like that, it hit him. There was a certain someone who had arrived in Japan recently in search of him. A certain someone he was not particularly fond of and vice versa. A certain someone who should have been dead at his hands a long time ago.
Goro would kill him if the chance arose, he had made that clear. So, there was hardly any love lost. Nick would never admit it out loud, but Goro’s Quirk was decent, even if Goro himself was inept with it – and just inept in general.
He was broken out of his thoughts by the car arriving at its destination. Nick got out and the car was hurtling away before the door had even finished closing again. Nick did not even look back. As nice as having a personal chauffer sounded, he had no need of one for the time being. He was going straight back to Nari’s to plan.
