Why... Why... Why?!
It was a question her heart cried out repeatedly as she ran through the alleys of Tokyo. She ran as fast as she could, she needed to escape... Escape from those feelings, from this torment that had been inflicted upon her heart. Why had this happened? Why... had Rin chosen Jasmine? A question that only brought forth another stream of tears down her cheeks as she reached the outskirts of a park she had been quite familiar with, but right now neither happiness or nostalgia followed at the sight of it. A little sob followed as she stepped slowly toward one of the benches and took a seat on it.
There was nobody... Nobody had chased her, nobody had picked her... nobody had loved her. Were those words spoken that day a lie? Was it that easy to make such a decision? She didn't know, and that frightened her. The knowledge that nobody would... was that really the case? Would truly nobody chase her? A hand shakily reached for the pocket of her jacket, pulling out her phone as she pressed the buttons, her fingers shaking lightly as that familiar name and the cute little picture showed up on the screen.
There was one person who had always been at her side, one person who had always protected her when she felt hurt, someone who always comforted her when she felt sad. And right now? Right now it might have been the only one she had left. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she brought the phone to her ears, listening to the dialing as the connection was established and soon spoke amidst her sobs and cry. "T-Tetsu..." she began, guilt and sorrow coming over her as she cried out. "I need you... please... Tokyo park."
She couldn't hold it in much longer, her mind was on the verge of breaking, and this was truly the last chance she had left to be saved. A soft click happened as she noticed the phone had turned off again, the screen fading away while tears clattered onto the screen. Soft sobs returned, turning into wails. "Tetsuko...." she cried, as if the name of her childhood friend was akin to calling for a savior, as if it would bring her comfort and hope, but all she felt in her heart was sorrow and despair.
Pain, her chest felt so painful right now, her heart aching as if it had been broken into tiny pieces. Even oblivious to the fact rainclouds were gathering in the sky above and darkness had settled in, making the street lights turn on the burgundy-haired lass was still left by herself in the park. She was lost.... suffering and alone.
Never had she thought things could have developed like this, she wanted to come to the music night to understand the feelings she felt, to come to terms with them but right now? Right now Elise Von Eisenberg was so heartbroken she wished she couldn't feel anything at all.

The dream was different this time.
The iron sands beneath her feet, the lantern housing a ball of light, the boundless oceans that covered the expanse... They were all the same. They felt just like they always did, rough and cold and sturdy. No, it wasn't these 'aspects' that had changed, it was the very air around Tetsuko that had been altered. The fog was thicker, darker than before, a strange moisture to it... Almost like...
'When it rains, it pours. That's the nature of this place right now.'
Once again, that voice... The guiding, indistinguishable voice that permeated these dreams, always telling Tetsuko what it was she needed to hear. It wasn't difficult to understand what the voice was implying, Tetsuko herself could feel it now. That things were about to get rockier, deadlier. With lantern in hand, Tetsuko pressed on from the iron beach, as she always did in this dreamscape, and into a surging tide. She'd have to be careful this time. After all, a storm was coming.
The harsh vibrations of her phone surprised an idling Tetsuko, who'd been in her room resting. Earphones in, she'd been resting and lost in thought, evidently having fallen asleep at some point. With sluggish motions, she groaned and sat up properly and reached over to her mobile, squinting at the caller's ID. It was... Elise? Wasn't she at that karaoke night with her friends? With a soft smile, Tetsuko realized she was probably still trying to convince Tetsuko to come over and join them. The iron-blooded lass had declined, and still wasn't sure if she'd want to go, given how preoccupied she was with certain conflicts...
With a sigh, she swiped against the phone, pulling out the earphones and raising to the side of her head. She'd soon change her mind on leaving the dorm room.
The first thing she heard was a sob, and her body jolted up right away. It was like a dagger through her chest. Elise was in trouble. Shit, Elise was in trouble! The Germanic lass spoke so sorrowfully, so brokenly, and Tetsuko felt pain and anger course through her. Who had done this to her? Where was she? How bad was it? Shit, shit, shit. Elise needed her. Now. No time. "I'm coming!" Tetsuko cried out as the connection was lost, cursing to herself profusely. She snatched a jacket and bolted out the door, mind racing as fast she was.
It had only been a few days since they'd come to admit their feelings for one another; or at least the possibility of them. Tetsuko Shindou was still was so unsure of what she flet, still so conflicted and confused, but she had resolved something on that night. That no matter what her relationship with Elise, whether it be as her friend or her lover, she would protect her. Elise was a part of her past, her history, something she held so dear. She was important; she was sacred.
Tetsuko's feet pounded against the sidewalk under a cloudy night, the city's illumination scarce and grim. Her legs were aching from the effort, breath short, but she did not reel back. With every step, she propelled herself forward, toward a friend in need. Soon enough, she was trudging through Tokyo park, looking around frantically for Elise. Tetsuko's face was tense, eyes wide in terror. She had to find her. She had to be there.
Finally, she was there.
Sobs struck her ears, and with a few more steps, Tetsuko laid eyes on her childhood friend. It was like needles through her heart, seeing Eli like this. Her broken expression, her fallen tears. What... Who had done this to her? "Eli..." Tetsuko uttered, her voice quiet and broken. All the Shindou girl knew to do was to be there, so she quickly stepped forward, throwing her arms around the burgundy-haired lass in a tight embrace. Thank God she'd found her, even if in this state...
Tetsuko Shindou held the embrace tightly, afraid to let go.

How had it come to this? A question that repeated itself in the girl's mind and yet she couldn't find any answer beyond her self-loathing. A sorrowful cry escaped the girl's lips as footsteps made her raise her head, Tetsuko's arrival instantly making her jump up from the bench and run over to her childhood friend to embrace her.
"I'm such an idiot!"
The girl cried out, pressing her face against Tetsuko's shoulder as she sobbed softly. "Everything has gone wrong." She sorrowfully admitted as she trembled lightly. "I thought she... that she loved me..." Elise sobbed softly as she poured her heart out to Tetsuko. She told her everything, from the day she first met Rin, to how the girl's kindness, concern and friendship reminded her of Tetsuko, of when she found that video log of the things she said and did during her drunken stupor. Of when Rin told her she loved her.
The pain only grew worse as she retold the events of Music Night, of her encounter with Jasmine, the moment she arrived at that point breaking out into louder sobs and finally at the confession and how everything went wrong. "I don't know what to do anymore Tetsu..." the girl cried softly, looking at Tetsuko with that same tearful look as before.
However, it was at that point that her crying session reached an end, for a loud howling voice, one she assumed to be masculine in nature came from nearby. A soft gasp escaped Elise's lips as she looked at Tetsuko. "T-That came from nearby." Flight or fight? A part of her just wanted to run, but if someone was in troubles... Gently grasping her hand around Tetsuko's she ran into the direction of the sound, after a short walk finding nothing at all.
Did she mishear that? No, looking at the ground showed a distinctively familiar device, the phone of a certain girl. "T-That's Rin-chan's..." She looked around, worriedly and hesitatingly and called out to Rin. "Rin-chan!" A light tilt of her head followed as she looked at the foot tracks. "Those tracks are likely Rin's, but also those of someone else... maybe 'her'? But why would she leave her phone behind?" Worriedly she turned toward Tetsuko for advice.

Tetsuko held on tightly, afraid to let go of Elise, lest she wears that look of pain still. The Germanic girl's outcry confused the young swordswoman, striking concern into her core. What... What had Elise done? Why was she calling herself stupid? Holding tenderly, eyes wide with confusion and a growing anxiety, Tetsuko received her answer. Trembling in her grasp, the Eisenberg girl lamented how everything had gone wrong... How she'd thought that 'she' loved her.
"H-Huh?" Was all Tetsuko could muster, and the only thing she could utter before being told the full truth. She felt a strange numbness come over her, expanding and growing as a deep void. It was like a blade had slipped between her ribs, pushing deeper and deeper with every new revelation. The reveal that Elise had met another girl; had fallen in love with that girl... And how Rin had the courage and consciousness to tell Elise that she loved her... If Elise talking about how she'd fallen for Rin drove the blade in, that reveal had pulled it out, leaving the cold numbness of bafflement and sorrow to wash over Tetsuko as she bled helplessly.
Yet not once could she bring herself to end their embrace. Because not once did the pain subside from Elise's expression.
Then came the music night. It was more than a blade, more than any weapon that Tetsuko could describe. It was a pure pain, a God-willed force that crushed Tetsuko, that inspired feelings of anger and resentment, that then shifted into sorrow and... Heartbreak. Elise had confessed to Rin, so soon after saying those same words to Tetsuko. Some voice deep inside the iron-blooded girl whispered a cruel possibility.
'You were never special. You never said those words. Her love wasn't honest. But it's your fault in the end. You couldn't be relied on, your feelings couldn't be trusted. That's why you were betrayed.'
It hurt like nothing else. But she couldn't blame Elise... Even if her love seemed fickle, Tetsuko was the one who hadn't fully accepted it. Elise cried softly, lamenting she didn't know what to do, but Tetsuko hadn't the answers either. Why had she been called out there anyway? Was she just some backup plan? Was Elise... That cruel?
"I... Don't know..." The Shindou girl uttered quietly, hurt ripe in her tone. She felt so confused, so numb, so empty and vulnerable... The fortifications of her steadfast circle of trust had weakened, leaving her alone to decide if they crumbled or held on... A numbness came over her, everything around her fading away... The only thing that broke it was the loud cry from nearby, sending a jolt through the vigilant Japanese girl.
A masculine howl, one Elise heard too. "Y-Yeah..." Tetsuko replied to the Germanic girl, a new confusion arising. A more immediate threat, one that Tetsuko didn't at all mind using as a distraction from her own feelings. Elise dragged her over, strangely enough. Even now, did she depend on Tetsuko? Or was that only because no one else was around? Whatever, she didn't care, not yet.
Arriving at the scene of the crime, a phone could be seen on the ground, quickly identified as belonging to 'Rin'. Even now, that name was like a dagger. Tetsuko crouched down, noticing the tracks as Elise pointed out that some were likely Rin's, the others... Potentially belonging to 'her'... Tetsuko's eyes squinted down at them, a doubt growing in her core. Something was very, very wrong here.
"No..." She uttered gravely, the realization seeping into her. "These tracks... They're bigger than an average girl's. And that voice... It sounded male too..." Phone on the ground, quiet park, a man's shout, nearby tracks... "Shit..." The evidence came together, the conclusion clear. And Tetsuko did not like it.
Just when she'd thought the night couldn't get any worse.

Tetsuko looked so hurt, and it made her feel horrible and the night seemed to still be getting worse. When her childhood friend voiced her thought that the footprints were larger than the average female and likely belonged to a male, associating it to the earlier shout they heard Elise grimaced at the thought. What could have possibly happened?
A sudden ringing noise came from below, a ringtone she was unfamiliar with but the light shake of the device on the ground clearly betrayed it came from Rin's phone. Hesitatingly she crouched down to the ground, trying to scoop up the device into her hands and without even looking at the screen pressed the button to accept the call.
"Y-Yes?" She began hesitatingly, hoping to find a clue about what happened to Rin, but instead, a cruel reminder of the music night was rekindled in her when that voice came from the other side of the line.
"Elise...? Why do you have Rin's phone? Is she with you?"
It was 'her', just the sound of her voice was enough for Elise to briefly feel the device slipping out of her hands, making the girl's hands flail lightly as she took a grasp of the device once more, her free hand reaching for Tetsuko's own, squeezing it tightly as her expression clearly showed fright and discomfort.
"N-No, I thought you were with her, since there were footprints of both of you but yours--- only the larger footprints left." Yet she couldn't help but think back to what Tetsuko said, about the fact that those footprints were likely belonging to a male.
"I did hear a howl-like shout, sounded like a male coming from here... and then when I came here I only found Rin's phone on the ground..."
It took all her willpower to not drop the phone and run right there and then, but concern for Rin's safety overwhelmed her fear, and as long as Tetsuko was by her side she could endure it, right?
"No, she's not with me... listen Elise. I know tonight was shit. But I need you to pull yourself together. I don't want to jinx it but I think Rin has... something terrible has happened. Where are you?"
Shit? That was quite an understatement, this night had become a hellish nightmare for her after everything that happened, and things were still getting worse. Telling Jasmine about her location, having her come over? Another confrontation she was dreading to have. And yet, if it was for Rin's sake... Her hand squeezed Tetsuko's again, a light shiver of her body following as she answered.
"Tokyo park, I was going to call Kobayashi-sensei and get his advice..." She whispered weekly, yet Jasmine was quick to answer the line again "Call Kobayashi and stay there. I'm close."
And with that the decision was made. Turning toward Tetsuko as the line went silent she looked pleadingly at the girl, clearly terrified beyond words. "P-Please stay with me Tetsu... I-I'm really scared." The girl whispered as she stashed Rin's phone away and picked her own, several taps on the keypad following as she dialed a familiar number, the number of the only one she knew who might had the power to do something.
"K-Kobayashi-sensei? I-It's me Elise... D-Did you hear if Rin was taken to a hospital or something? I-I heard a loud howl in the park, belonging to a male and when I came over there was only Rin's phone. I.. We found some tracks, one belonging to Rin and the others to a larger person, Tetsu believes they are male but only the last set is seen leaving this spot."
She paused, trying to hold back the feelings of panic rising within her chest. "I... I thought she was with her girlfrie-" She paused, feeling a pained sensation in her heart as she continued "frie-" What in the world was Jasmine even? Damned Rin for not making it clear! "J-Jasmine didn't see her and fears that something bad happened to her, she's on her way to Tokyo park where I and Tetsu are..."

This wasn't a storm. Not yet. But Tetsuko could feel the dark clouds overhead, ominous and foreboding, striking dread into her core. Her pain was immense, and so much of what Elise had said moments ago still echoed in Tetsuko's mind... But this dread was something else entirely. It was an immediate threat, an executioners ax over their heads, a dangerous weight ready to be dropped...
Tetsuko's body tensed up strongly at the nearby vibration, eyes darting toward the phone and a hand moved to her hip out of instinct. No blade was needed, however, as Elise picked up the source of the sudden noise, accepting the call. With wide and cautious eyes, Tetsuko watched as Elise responded, her reaction concerning the Shindou girl deeply. Who was calling?
Listening in to Eli's end of the conversation, Tetsuko held the Germanic girl's hand tightly until she realized the caller's identity. It was 'her'. Tension jolted through the young swordswoman's body, quelled only by the imminence of threat that her dread provided. As strong as her loathing was, there were bigger threats at hand, and for once Tetsuko found herself taking the less instinctual act.
The 'conclusion' was evidently reached by 'her' as well. It wasn't looking good. Elise mustered up her courage, Tetsuko lending what support she could with her tight grip as their location was given. So much of her still felt betrayed, but Tetsuko, in her dread and vigilance, could still not help but offer her help to Elise. Moreover, they needed each other's security right now, with how dangerous the situation was getting.
Elise hung up, turning to Tetsuko with a plea. She really was unfair, wasn't she? A look of concern and uncertainty was set in Tetsuko's visage, but she didn't waver in her loyalties at present. Her pain could take a backseat to this... Whatever this was. "OK... I'll stay..." Tetsuko uttered quietly, holding Eli's hand still as she down at the tracks below. Two sets one way, one set the other. Neither of them had said it out loud. But it was becoming very clear what happened.
Why on tonight of all nights? Tetsuko's panicked mind raced, trying to make sense of it all. Was this the work of someone involved with the music night? From Elise's descriptions, not all of the young men involved sounded particularly sound of mind... But... Would one of them have done this? For what purpose? It was... So scary, to consider what might have occurred. Tetsuko Shindou had always believed U.A. was a home of those with righteous intent, but that faith was crumbling away like sand...
All she could do was stand there, in the cold dead of night, numb with pain and dread. Her eyes darted around, focused and vigilant, ready for any threat to show itself. A blade sprouted from her free hand, short but sharp. She didn't if she was going to need it, but with everything that was going down, Tetsuko very much preferred to feel some small sense of safety amongst all the chaos unfurling around them. Thoughts and anxieties bounced around in the Shindou girl's head, but only one of them was so clearly understood.
'If only I'd gone to this fucking music night...'

A short-haired man whose eyes never seemed to be quite entirely open was running through the park. Before that, he had been running in the streets. Before he started running in the streets, he was just having a smoke. Just one damn cigarette. Who could ask a man to sit through the performances of a bunch of adolescents in a maid cafe and not let him have a cigarette break? The answer was Kobaysahi Touma, who had insisted that Takeshi Fujiwara keep an eye on Rinkusu Kurama all the time. The Takeshi in question had interpreted that as meaning he was allowed a cigarette break outside the door. A stranger had asked him for a light, and Takeshi was happy to provide. He was dressed in civilian clothes, clothes that made him seem younger than he was. He had an easy smile and half closed eyes. He insisted they were just narrow, and that’s just how he was, and to describe him as having half closed eyes was racist. Because of that, he did not register that someone had been running out of the cafe until someone else did. It did not take him long to piece things together, realize how much the lieutenant was going to yell at him and get him running in the streets, through the park an now he was arriving, panting and heaving, at the place where he heard someone scream. He found two adolescent girls. One of them was on the phone. From how she was talking to her interlocutor and the bits of voice and intonations coming from the phone, he quickly pieced out what was going on. Takeshi Fujiwara pieced things together very quickly. “Aaaah… Aaaaaaah.... Give me that, girl, ah, I’m with the, uh, principal,” he said. He seemed to hesitate; he had almost called him lieutenant, and he had been told to call him principal now. And if he didn't, he had been told he would get in trouble, and trouble usually meant docked pay. --- On the other side of the line, the principal was checking his magazines and his USP .45. He found them in perfect order, as usual. His phone was on the table, turned on, in a middle of a call with Elise and on loudspeaker. “I’m coming now, Elise. Now where is that idiot Takeshi?” he wondered out loud as he put his loaded gun back in its shoulder holster, and the magazines in their pouches on the other side. He took his phone and started heading towards his car with a determined step. “Don’t chase by yourselves,” he said, and he started running towards his car.

All I saw was the Devil's soul And it looked a helluva lot like my own Cafes, bars, alleyways and then the skies. It was a wonder how one evening could tumble down the drain so fucking hard. A recap could be given of the events that had transpired in the cafe, but honestly the blonde lioness had replayed it in her mind so many times she was sick of it. With a cold drink in her hand, she had tried to think of what she could've done differently. What she should've and shouldn't have said. Honestly the list was so fucking long for both sides of the coin it was too much of a headache to think about. She had found solace in the bar, able to, even if just for a second, relax in a relatively familiar environment in the company of someone she'd fought alongside.
A text was enough to make her smile, though. Those two words. Your Raven. She had immediately bid Toma adieu and left for the bus station, deciding that she needed to be home for when Rin returned. But then her phone buzzed again, making her quirk a brow when she realized it was from Rin. "Hello? Rin?" She would ask, confused as all heck when she couldn't get an answer back. "Rin? Rin!" The following sounds made her skin crawl, her natural paranoia working wonders to put the lioness on high alert. Immediately she tried calling back after the line got cut off - no answer.
She kept calling. Over and over and over and over again. Too many things were wrong with this picture. Something had happened, she told herself, but prayed she was wrong. Then, it happened - someone had picked up. Yet it wasn't the person she was expecting at all. Elise...? What the fuck is she- no, that doesn't matter now.
Before she knew what was happening herself she was already in the skies, her body acting on auto-pilot to direct her to Tokyo Park. Flashes of light and loud booms echoed above Tokyo as Jasmine rocketed towards the park as fast as she could, performing aerial acrobatics with her movements to make herself as fast as she could. Then, just above the park, she nosedived from above the buildings, only stopping herself with a large explosion below her to halt her momentum.
She landed close to the three people present, glaring crimson eyes betraying how much she wasn't up for any bullshit, "What the fuck happened?"

Elise was worried, hesitant and nervous to say the least, and it only became worse in the next few minutes. First, a suspicious looking stranger approached her, demanding Rin's phone, but she quickly took a step closer to Tetsuko, clutching the phone closely to her chest as if it was a treasure, the only link she currently had to the missing Rin. "W-Who are you? S-Sensei didn't tell me anyone else was coming." Yet she still held her own phone close to her, turning on the speakers. "Sensei, there is someone here... claiming to work for you?"
And then it became from bad to worse. As the Principal was on his way to his car Jasmine arrived, her glare making the poor girl tense up even worse, her body visibly shaken as she hid behind Tetsuko's shoulder, a slight nod toward the nearby footprints being made. "T-this was the place where I heard the howl. Tried to call out to her but... she isn't here..." Tears were gathering in the corner of her eyes, of frustration, sorrow and nervousness "Kobayashi-sensei is on his way."
She looked back and forth between the suspicious aide of the Principal and Jasmine, her gaze lowered for a moment as she looked thoughtfully before finally she made a painful decision. If she had to decide between trusting the school or trusting a friend of Rin then. Inhaling deeply she took a step forward toward Jasmine and whispered feebly.
"After what happened today... I failed to protect her when she got poisoned in the infirmary... failed to keep her from being kidnapped." Was she really about to do this? A hand lowered to the side of her thigh, picking a small pouch which contained some of her special medicine in it and finally she made her decision, extending both hands, one holding the pouch and the other the phone as she cried out her plea.
"Please Jasmine, PLEASE SAVE RIN!"
A desperate cry, for she wasn't strong like Jasmine or Tetsuko, she wasn't someone who could fight or protect, all she could do was heal and recover them after they had suffered...
"I'll stay here with Tetsuko till Kobayashi-sensei arrives and tell him of what happened..."
She averted her gaze, as much as it pained her to admit it, as much as she hated it, as much as she wished it could be otherwise, after tonight she felt that if there was anyone who could save Rin... then it was Jasmine...

Every crack of branch, every whistle of the wind, every fallen leaf sent a jolt of lightning through Tetsuko. Her eyes darted, her hand raised, the small blade it held being bared to the nothingness that awaited. This wasn't a safe place, something wrong had been here, and it might still be lurking. The strange man that approached was a thunderstorm and in of himself, his presence immediately giving Tetsuko a bad fucking vibe. His hesitance and strange tone sent her on edge, clutching Eli's hand tightly as wild blue orbs gazed at him with deep distrust.
Eli confirmed that the principal had said nothing of anyone else coming, asking the principal to confirm. Tetsuko, her breathing harsh, raised the small iron blade sprouted from her hand toward the man, a defensive stance. "If you have any proof, show it." She wasn't going to take any chances. Not now. Not when it was so crystal clear that things were not fucking okay. Shit... They must've been so close when it happened...
Booms cracked overhead, and Tetsuko kept her dagger pointed at the supposed 'principal's aide', her eyes scanning the sky for whatever was coming next. The blonde that arrived with a fierce like already had the skin on Tetsuko's other hand moments away from being pierced by another blade from within, were it not for Elise's non-hesitant address to the blonde. This... This must've been the one she was talking about before.
Tetsuko remained silent, almost perfectly unmoving aside from her own labored breaths. The lack of knowing what on Earth was going on left her little to add or contribute, nothing to do but trust what Elise was saying. Even now, even after the pain she'd felt moments ago, Tetsuko did not waver in her loyalties, not in this dangerous situation. All she could do was have faith that Elise was making the right decision, and keep her own blade pointed at the suspicious 'aide'.
Eli's desperate cry had Tetsuko glancing sideways at the blonde, conflicted and confused. Even after everything this person had done to hurt Elise... Eli still trusted her in this dilemma. That... That was no small tell. Her breathing steadied, her stance remained tense. As much as she wanted to track down the source of this situation, to simply ram her blade through the core of the problem, she couldn't abandon Elise, not now. Right then, even after what she'd been told, in a situation where lives were on the line... Tetsuko couldn't help but trust her oldest friend.
"One male, tracks are heading that way." Tetsuko uttered quietly, gesturing toward their only clue. She didn't even look toward Jasmine, she just kept her eyes on the aide and on her blade. The former she was still wary of. The latter was, aside from Elise, the only thing she could really trust right now.

(I realized that the link in the last post was broken, it’s fixed now, here’s what Takeshi looks like) “Wow-wow, let’s not get too hasty there,” said Takeshi Fujiwara when an adolescent girl pointed a blade at him, sweat on his forehead both from having run all the way here and, well, also a little from having a knife pointed at him. Even a trained professional couldn’t get entirely rid of the natural reaction of fear men had when sharp things were brandished menacingly against their person. “Look, I really am with the principal,” he said, opening his jacket. A sharp eye might have noticed the metallic glint of the Beretta 92 he was concealing in a shoulder holster as he pulled out a very official looking badge. “I’m Internal Security. I know I don’t look like it, but that’s precisely what makes me good at my job,” he added. “My name is Takeshi Fujiwara. You guys wanna trust me a little and stop pointing blades at me now? Ask the principal directly if y’all don’t trust me,” he defended himself. Unfortunately, the call had dropped when the principal barrelled his SUV at full throttle under a tunnel, committing an increasingly large series of traffic violations. Before anyone could answer him, however, he heard explosion sounds. Curiously, Takeshi lifted his head. The next thing he knew, there was an explosion in front of him and a blonde girl was here. Old reflexes died hard. The first thing Jasmine would see was a man with a hand down his jacket, holding the grip of his holstered pistol tightly without it looking very clear what the fuck he was doing exactly and with a look of surprise and alarm on his face. “And who the fuck are you?!” The other girls seemed to know her though, so Takeshi put two and two together again. She wasn’t an enemy. His hand stopped gripping his weapon so tightly and left his jacket. This Jasmine in question was asked to save the Rin he had been assigned to protect. Thinking of this reminded him of his failure and that in five to ten minutes, he was gonna have to explain it to the principal. He gulped. The lieutenant didn’t like failure so much.

All I saw was the Devil's soul And it looked a helluva lot like my own There were several things Jasmine had noticed the second she landed in ground zero. The first, most alarming one by far, was that Rin was nowhere to be seen, despite the little ray of hope the blonde had protected in the back of her head. The feeling of disappointment and dread was almost too difficult to mask behind the guise of anger. The second thing she noticed was the unknown man standing there with Elise and whoever the heck that other girl was. The moment he saw the blonde land he had reached for something down his jacket. The lioness, unfortunately far too used to the sight back in New York, immediately growled at the male, daring him to try something which she would make sure he would immediately regret. She was not in the mood for this bullshit, and the way she balled her fists, her posture screaming battle readiness, surely showcased more than words could.
Immediately thereafter, she forcefully calmed herself after hearing and completely disregarding the male's question. She turned back to Elise; quirking a curious brow at the other girl that was there. A lot could be assumed by the sight of Elise being with somebody else mere hours after what by some could be considered outright rejection, but Jaz pushed those thoughts away. The unknown girl, the male - none of it mattered at this particular moment. There was only thing of relevance, and Elise seemed to realize that herself.
Having approached the blonde, the smaller girl broke down almost as fast as she had back at the cafe. Her tears, her plea - all of it resonated far too strongly for Jaz to be comfortable admitting. Narrowing her eyes, the blonde female stood strong as she simply nodded without saying a word. Saving Rin was what she had intended to do whether Elise asked her to or not. Glancing at the other female present after she had spoken, Jaz offered her a short nod of thanks before going towards the mentioned tracks, an angry haste in her step which betrayed not a single second thought despite how much the blonde was worrying. This situation was driving her insane, and as she crouched by the fresh set of footsteps, she clicked her tongue.
"I'm going to scout ahead. Keep me posted," she said coldly as she begun walking into the foliage, crimson eyes trying to follow the tracks in the dark.
Please be safe.

Silence... A tense silence lingered in the air as Jasmine's arrival seemingly led to an increase in the tension, the girl couldn't help but find herself powerless again. Forced to rely on others to save one dear to her, it was pathetic really... "I'm sorry Fujiwara-san... Sensei's phone turned off just now..." Elise admitted with a soft sigh after he displayed his badge, the possibility that it was a fake still existing. However, as she turned toward Tetsuko, her shoulders drooped in defeat. She should have never gone to the Music Night, then perhaps this all wouldn't have happened.
Now look at what happened? Rin was missing, quite likely kidnapped and they had only a set of tracks to pursue. Who knew what, if anything would be found there. However, even worse was the pain she felt in her chest, tears continued to roll down her cheeks as her fingers remained interwoven with Tetsuko's own, but this time it was not a gesture of romantic affection, it was one of desperate loneliness and a search for security.
She took a step back, still holding the phone tightly as she eyed the aide and whispered softly. "If you truly are an aide of the principal... then tell me the type of weapon he always carries with him." A simple question, but only someone who seen the principal often would know the type of handgun he carried with him, she had seen it nearly always with him whenever they trained together. "Please don't try to lie, sensei has taught me enough for me to know the answer.."
She averted her gaze after the answer, nodding her head lightly at Tetsuko as if to affirm his identity. "Why did this all happen. All I wanted was..." What did she even want? a hand raised for her face, covering the grimace her expression turned into. "I was an idiot... If I didn't say those things they wouldn't have fought, Rin wouldn't have left on her own and..."
A soft sob followed as she cried in frustration. "It's still the same!" She still couldn't protect those she cared for, and in her frustration, Elise couldn't help but find a newfound desire to reach out for the power she longed for, the power to protect.

Post by Tetsuko Shindou on Aug 20, 2018 7:13:13 GMT -4
Tetsuko Shindou remained poised and ready as the supposed principal's aide spoke, her blade cold and sharp against the night air. Already she was putting forth the image in her mind. If he moved, she had to strike. There was a small distance between them, but her speed could cover it, it would only take a single thrust or cut to fell him through his simple clothing. Heart. Neck. Head. Arteries. Limbs. All could be pierced or severed readily if the man forced her hand.
And God help her if he did.
Consequences of such an attack weren't exactly on Tetsuko's paranoid mind at the moment. Takeshi continued to try and convince them of his identity, flashing some important looking badge as though its mere presence carried weight. As Tetsuko scowled at the man, her eyes picked up a glint of metal. A weapon. Blue orbs widened in shock, and it took a lot of willpower not to rush the bastard then and there. If he was telling the truth, it made sense he would carry a gun... But Christ, even then, that wasn't something Tetsuko was about to risk.
The blade protruding from her hand retracted, but Tetsuko remained in a forward-leaning stance. There were countless points on her own body from which her metal could erupt, and subsequently burst through the other man. She would likely be fast enough if he went for his gun... She hoped she wouldn't have to test that.
Even the principal couldn't confirm his identity, it seemed. Elise continued to clutch her hand, and Tetsuko squeezed it tightly, an expression of a promise. She wouldn't let anything happen. Eli proposed some way for the man to prove his identity, and although it wasn't perfect, Tetsuko trusted that the Eisenberg girl knew what she was doing. Sure enough, Eli nodded in affirmation, seemingly convinced by this point. But Tetsuko was far from ready to just trust this guy.
"That could be a lucky guess. So if you draw your weapon, I'm drawing mine. Don't make me see test who's faster." Tetsuko warned him, her eyes cold and impatient. Elise, meanwhile, had her own struggles in those moments, her pained expression like knives through Tetsuko's core. Ironic, considering her own intentions to cut and pierce.
Even after everything Tetsuko herself had suffered, her desire to protect Elise remained unchanged.
Yet right then, there was nothing Tetsuko could say to Elise. No comfort came to mind... For Tetsuko knew she herself was just as much to blame. If she'd not been so cruelly dishonest and indecisive towards Elise, if she'd been at the music night... Such simple choices that could've made such a massive difference. Tetsuko Shindou had managed to carve through the only path that lead to this.
She grit her teeth in frustration at Elise's sob, unable to find the words to help her. All Tetsuko could do was grasp her hand tightly, and keep her 'blade' at the ready... They'd suffered enough tonight. Tetsuko was more than ready to cut down anything else that sought to harm them.
All they could do... Was wait.

“God damn it,” said Takeshi, “Give a guy a break, I see two girls I was ordered to protect, and then someone else drops from the sky making explosions with their hands, can I really be faulted for reaching for my weapon?”
His ability to stay somewhat cool and still make a lot of sense even when flustered had taken Takeshi far in the ranks of the army, far enough to be assigned to a national security job in Tokyo. He still wasn’t sure why the lieutenant had recommended him for the mission, but he sure was happy about it.
Or at least, he was happy about it, until he started feeling menaced by high school girls. This hurt his pride a little bit, but thankfully, Takeshi was good at collecting himself and the gears in his brain started turning again. They were well-oiled.
“What weapon does he carry? I don’t know, an HK416? No, wait, I don’t think he carries a rifle at school. You probably mean his sidearm. It’s a USP, I think. Definitely something German. He loves H&K.”
“Now, if we’re done establishing identities, can I do my job?” he started walking to where Jasmine was, crouched to look at the tracks. “I happen to be trained to do this, thank you very much. I don’t see any traces of struggle, actually. Whoever your friend went with, she went willingly,” he said. Knowing saying something like this wouldn’t help his case, no matter how true it was, and that they probably weren’t trusting him much still, he added: “Look, call the principal again if you don’t trust me. He’s driving here at full speed anyway, I know him.”
“Would I stay here if I was some goon he didn’t trust? Think about that for a second,” he said, and he continued to examine the tracks, slowly, look at each one closely and moving one step at a time, still crouched, kind of in the manner of a duck. He looked quite inoffensive, from this angle. It seemed very easy to stab him in the back or restrain him.
