I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings A would-be hero, a student at the first ever Hero School in the world walking along the dangerous streets of Kabukicho at around midnight - what a strange sight. Ryuusei Igarashi was, however, a smart enough sixteen year old to be aware of how troublesome this could prove to be. If someone of Yuuei staff was on some kind of undercover mission and saw him there, he could very well be expelled. Just a week before, that could be the best case scenario but, right now, something was awakening inside Ryuusei... and he kinda didn't want to leave the U.A. Academy. And so, for this reason, Ryuusei Igarashi dressed in a way that would, at least, make it hard to recognize him. A navy blue and white baseball cap that read "Hollywood" in black letters; a black hoodie with a white stripe in the middle, with the hoodie pulled up over the baseball cap; dark sun glasses; black pants and white and navy blue shoes; black backpack. That was how Ryuu was dressed. But was he doing at that place? After having finished reading the book of the authour who chose to hide his identity by calling himself Nanno Nanigashi, the youngest of the Igarashi household decided to do some research on the internet. He went to some dark foruns that discussed the author's ideology and the whole content of the book Ryuu had read, "An Analysis of an Hero Society: Failure Waiting to Happen". It took some time but, finally, he saw a discussion that sparked his interest. One user wrote: "Yooooo I dunno if yall will believe me on this one, but I have one friend (well, kinda lol) that visits Kabukicho all the time and the other day he went to this shady shady bookstore there right and you know what he found? Some personal notes by Nanno-sensei!!! Hand-written and all!!!! It's an amazing find!!!! He told me that it costed two kidneys tho lol So yeah, I can't buy it but if one of you could go for it (and then post it here pls... or dm it to me since, ya know, I was the one that gave the info)"Well, it could be just a lie or some kind of troll. Ryuu could arrive at the bookstore and the notes not be there. But it was worth a try. He wated to know more about that man... He needed to know more. One part of him denied, but the other knew it full well: Nanno Nanigashi... there was a possible future in which Ryuusei could become that man. Was that future going to ecome true? Ryuu didn't know, but maybe knowing more about the mysterious man could give him more answers. Finding the bookstore was easy enough. Most of Kabukicho was full of bars or restaurants so the bookstore - even though it was in a hidden corner - was kind of easy to spot. Inside, to Ryuu's surprise, the notes were there. Sealed in a plastic bag, hundreds of white pieces of paper staple together. At the front page, handwritten, one could read: "Heroes, Villains and Me, by Nanno Nanigashi,". Ryuu took it - it was the only one for sale - and went to the cashier straight away. It was really, really, really expensive, but Ryuu was able to pay for it in all cash. Transaction complete, he put the notes on his bag and stepped outside. It was really late now, but he kept walking on a slow pace. Something about not showing that you're out of place, he thought to himself. It never crossed his mind that, at that time, he was being targeted. Notes: The clothes Ryuu is wearing have an easter egg! Words: 614. Tags: Nari Shimizu

Twilight, such a pretty time of day and yet most people don't take the time to really appreciate it. To a normal person, the city would be shrouded in darkness, scarcely visible in the twilight the sun created. The soft glowing light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon seemed calming to most, quite breathtaking if you really focus on the beauty it creates in the sky above. Most are too busy with their lives to take a moment to appreciate the beauty within nature around them, it's a shame at how much beauty they miss due to the little things preoccupying their day to day lives. Nari was not one to miss such a sight, the dazzling sight capturing her attention for those few moments before the sun faded beyond the horizon, bringing about the stars and moon to shine in its place.
A girl with brunette locks tied back in a bun rested against a broken bay window, overlooking the beauty of the twilight fading over the horizon. It was not her home that she was currently situated in, but an abandoned building she tended to visit from time and time again. Her home was like a haven for her, but this place posed a sense of thrill and adventure, something her life lacked ever since that fateful day. It wasn’t as if all of the joy was sucked out of her life, quite the opposite in reality. She was living her life to the fullest now more than ever before. No holding back, no turning away.
The woman with large green eyes watched the fading twilight in the distance, casually looking down at the ant sized people below her, watching as they ignored such a grad sight and instead focused on more miniscule things. She supposed it was their loss, missing out on such a spectacular sight before their eyes. Her view from the spacious bay window let her see things from the streets lined in front of her, to the detail of the houses lining said streets as far as the horizon took them. It was nice being up this high and looking down on the people passing by, as if she were the top dog in the society and they were the lowly bottom feeders. It was a nice thought in retrospect. The people passing by seemed boring and uninteresting, such mundane people living mundane lifestyles. Their lives were like clockwork, nothing sporadic happening to them. Nari could cause a bit of excitement in those dull people’s lives, but it already seemed someone had taken her advice without even voicing her opinion. The green-eyed lass watched as a boy with chestnut locks sneaked around a corner, carefully calculating his every step and movement as if he was not trying to be seen by anyone. Where could such a young boy be headed at this time of night, surly such an innocent looking boy was not to any trouble now~?
Nari continued to watch the boy until she saw him leave into an alley way, completely away from Nari’s field of vision. Perhaps she could follow the boy, maybe even make his night more interesting. As she continued to look out the window at the fading twilight, the boy with brown locks seemed to reappear once more, causing Nari’s attention to turn away from the sky once more. Perhaps she should pay him a visit, see what he was up to at this hour of night? Nari softly nodded to herself and made her way out of her abandoned funhouse, secretly following the boy with the chestnut locks.

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings Uh? he let out without even thinking about it. He was heading back home at a good pace. Hell, he was even almost out of the Kabukicho zone. So why... Why did he had to hear that soft cry for help that was quickly shut down? Why did he have to look at that hidden alleyway wit hthe corner of his eye? He was now standing still, looking at that direction. It was already dark, but he could still see what was going on. Two thugs, much older, heavier and stronger than Ryuu where messing with someone - and that someone was a... Is that a kid? From his height, the kid looked to be only around 7 or 8 years old. And, from the uniform he was wearing, it was obvious he was just a school kid. He also looked like a centipede, which made him a mutation Quirker for sure. Why am I doing this? Ryuu asked himself as he started to head in that direction. After his talk with Rin at the Q-Zone, after what happened the day he went to do parkour with Yoru Ryuusei's legs couldn't deny his heart - so, instead of trusting his brain, Ryuu found himself walking into the eye of the storm. M-Mom?! Mom, where are you?!, the kid cry out. The poor boy probably got lost and walked into the area without even knowing where he was. Shut up brat! one of the thugs said, pressing the kid against the wall with one arm covering his mouth and the other grabbing his neck. Now closer, Ryuu could understand it. The kid's uniform was from the richest private school in Tokyo. He knew that because, well, he had attended that school himself, just as his sister did. The thugs probably saw in the kid a chance to kidnap and get some good money out of it. You really should let the kid go, Ryuusei said in his cold tone. The two thugs immeadiately stared at him, yelling for him to get the hell out. I've already seen your faces, it would be a bad idea to let me walk away don't you think?Surprisingly, Ryuu wasn't scared at all. If he could get the attention of both of them, maybe the kid could run for it. And, when the kid was safe, then Ryuu could run himself - he just had to endure the two thugs for some time. Then everything happened quick. One of the thugs got at Ryuu and tried punching him. Ryuu was, somehow, able to dodge it and give him a punch to the stomach. The effect wasn't much though - it basically did nothing and the thug was quick to land his own fist on Ryuu's face. That made his glasses break and hat fly out - Ryuusei's face was now exposed. The thug went for a second punch, which Ryuu was once again able to escape. This time, however, he grabbed the hand and bit into it as hard as he could and not letting go no matter how much punches the thug threw at him. That was when, teeth sunken into the bad guy's flesh, he yelled at the kid. FIGHT!The thug who was holding the kid got distracted and, with his centipede tail, the kid hit the grown man hard enough to make the man bleed from the forehead and release him. In a split second, the mutant's and Ryuu's eyes met each other: the kid's eyes said "Thank you"; Ryuu's said "Run". And that's exactly what the little boy did, running as fast as he could and getting away from that alley and from the Kabukicho area. It was then that a hard kick hit Ryuu's stomach and he let go of the thug's hand. They were both cursing hard at him, saying he was the reason they had just lost big big money. So, lashing their anger at Ryuusei, one of the thugs grabbed him from behind while the other started to throw punches at the defenseless Yuuei student: at his head, neck, torso - wherever he could hit him. Shit...That was the only thing that was crossing his mind. He couldn't get away in that position... he couldn't do anything. He just had to wait, wait for them to get tired and stop hitting him. That was if they chose to not beat him to death. But another thought made each punch more bearable: At least that kid is safe.Notes: Ryuu trying to be a Hero... who would've thought?! Words: 751. He’s a slippery one, isn’t he? The boy with chestnut locks seemed to evade the brunette without even trying. Perhaps he had somewhere o go or perhaps he found out someone was following him, that wouldn’t be much fun. Just as she thought she lost him, she heard what seemed to be a child’s voice crying desperately for it’s mother figure. Why a kid would be out during this time of night was beyond her, most people were home by now but there tended to be a few stragglers wandering about. The green eyes of the girl found her target once more, heading into an alley way in the direction the child’s voice was heard. Curiosity got the best of her, causing her to hide behind the building’s corner and peer around to see what had been happening.
A soft gasp left her lips, seeing what appeared to be a small mutant boy getting harassed and held down by two inhumane thugs. Seeing the sight made her blood boil, how dare these inferior people do something to one of her fellow mutant brethren? They would pay for the crimes they were committing against not only a child, but an action against the mutant race. Just as the brunette was about to charge in, she remembered the boy with chestnut locks wandering into the alley as well, wondering what he was to do in the situation. Her hand gripped the corner of the building as she watched earnestly as the boy from before confronted the two burlier men, telling them to let the child go. She’s dealt with people like this before, there was no way these men would back down without starting a fight, it’s just how their minds seemed to work.
In an instant, one of the thugs swung at the boy with light brown locks, causing him to react by dodging the first hit. He was not so lucky when he tried to attack however, his punch ineffective against the taller man who retaliated by punching the boy in the face. She would step in and help but the boy seemed eager enough to handle the situation on his own, prompting the small mutant boy to fight back as well. Now with the second thug distracted, the centipede boy attacked in that single moment, able to free himself from the man’s grasp. Just as he was dropped to the ground, his black orbs met Nari’s own for a split second before he shifted his attention to the boy currently fighting the first thug. Under the order to run, the small mutant boy obeyed and ran away as fast as he could, perhaps going to find his mother or maybe to go and get the police involved.
Without any more distractions the two thugs now had a new play thing to mess around with, picking the boy with chestnut locks up before beginning to send punch after punch against his face and body, soon drawing blood from the poor boy. Though this was none of Nari’s business, he did save the boy when he knew he would not stand a chance against the thugs on his own. The anger building up in Nari never sedated, instead only fueling the brunette to come up with a course of action that wasn’t too rash and was well thought out. Nari turned her head to see an open window a bit above the thugs and an escape ladder leading up to the platform. If she were sneaky about this, her quirk would just reach where they were, and she could handle the situation. The sage eyed girl carefully ascended the escape ladder close to her, timing her steps with the thug’s punches so they wouldn’t notice there was someone else here with them. Carefully the girl walked across the platform and stepped inside the window, securing her spot and hiding herself just enough from the thugs. She peered down at them, looking for an opening to attack. Stealth was the name of the game now, she had to do this right.
The green skinned girl opened her mouth, letting her lamprey tongue come out to play, watching as it carefully descended down to where the thugs were, knowing their attention was on the boy in front of them at the moment. Nari soon latched the mouth of her tongue onto one of the thug’s necks, beginning to suck his blood. Thankfully, because of her quirk, the man would never notice he had a little friend attached to his neck, slowly draining the life force from within him. 4 minutes….4 minutes were all she needed to drain enough blood to knock the man unconscious. The clock began counting down, the brunette hoped the boy would be able to last long enough until she was done.

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings The hits were hard. It hurt like hell and there were a few bruises already taking shape, with some cuts opening up aswell. At least there was no major bleeding, which was a good thing - well, at least it was if it didn't meant that the bleedings were internal. Hopefully, that wouldn't be the case. Some minutes had passed - probably not many - and Ryuu was starting to get tired of resisting. His whole body hurt and he had already spat blood as a result of a couple of punches to the stomach. However, he kept pushing to stay conscious, especially after feeling something: His grip is getting weakerr...He could sense it. His arms weren't so stuck as before and he could even move them around a little bit. Ryuu didn't know why but it seemed that the man who was holding him from behind was losing his strenght without his partner noticing it. Ryuusei couldn't understand why such thing was happening. A medical condition maybe? Whatever it was, he couldn't let that chance pass by - otherwise, he might not leave that alley. When he felt the grip loosen a little more, Ryuusei timed his movement to the incoming punch. When the hand was almost hitting his face, Ryuu freed himself and moved sideaways, making the thug hitting his own partner, who instantly fell on the ground. Laying, his body almost seemed lifeless - no way a single punch did that. No time to think about. Win.Ryuu was on autopilot. So, when the thug who had been punching him got distracted and kneeled near his partner to check his status, Ryuu did not hesitate. Running a little bit to gain momentum, he got near the man. There, Ryuu punt kicked him straight in the head with as much force as he could. The bodies laying lifeless on the floor were now two, with the man that Ryuu kicked now bleeding heavily from the head and not moving at all. Ryuu sat on the floor, his back against one of the walls of the alley. He's breathing was heavy and irregular. He had just took a hell of a beating for just one kid. What was I thinking? - looking down, he could see his right foot covered in blood and what seemed like pieces of brain - I... Did I kill him?It was scary. But it wasn't scary because of how bad Ryuusei felt towards his action, towards him having potentially killed another human. It was scary because... he didn't feel a thing. No fear, no panic, just... nothing. Was that... was that how it was supposed to be like? A complety emptiness of emotion towards another life? Could he... could he really do something like that without feeling no kind of remorse? No, he couldn't think like that. He could only think about one thing: I have to get out of here.As he tried to get up, it was like gravity doubled and forced his body back to the ground. His body was too sore to move right there and then. So, like he always did, Ryuu remained calm. I'lll just rest here for a bit. It's a late, dark and I'm in a hidden alley. Besides, it's Kabukicho, there's no way the police will show up here. While there, he was still wondering: what the hell happened to the thug that was holding him? Notes: First time killing a man... what will this mean for Ryuu?! Words: 573. Tags: Nari Shimizu

This seemed too easy, it’s like this thug was braindead and she was happily taking everything he had from him. Although, she did like it more when they put up a good fight~ She wouldn’t say no to a free meal though. The minutes seemed to go by rather quickly, Nari’s lamprey tongue simply guzzling down his blood like it was a fine red wine, simply delicious for a mutant like her. Before she knew it, the thug’s movements grew weaker and slower, the result of loosing too much blood in one go. Just before the boy took a hit at the thug, she pulled her tongue away, not wanting to lose a few teeth from the instant movement of his body.
The brunette watched with wide eyes as the events unfolded before her, the chestnut-haired boy punched the now lifeless thug, knocking him to the ground and now focused his attention on the second, livelier thug before him. Seems like that one hit flipped a switch inside the boy, adrenaline flowing through his body as he managed to take down the second thug by charging at him and kicking him in the head, definitely causing some damage to his skull and brain, probably some internal bleeding as well. What a waste of blood, Nari could have had a second helping of the boy wasn’t too quick.
With both thugs now knocked to the ground, unable to put up much of a counter fight, the little dual came to an end. The brunette watched as the boy from before took a seat on the dirty ground beneath him, examining the damage he took before looking over at the seemingly dead thugs before him. His body shown one thing, but his face told another story. Was this perhaps…a hero in the making? Seems like he wouldn’t be a hero after practically killing someone with blunt trauma to the head.
The green-eyed girl observed as the boy contemplated what to do, trying to get up and get out of the situation but his body held him back, keeping him down on the ground. Perhaps now was her time to act~ Nari stepped out of the window and onto the metal platform outside, the one she had climbed up onto before to take out the thug. She rested her arms against the railing and looked down at the boy with lidded eyes and a smirk. “My my, that was some quick thinking there, kid~ It seems like you killed two birds with one stone…or perhaps knocked one out with a fist and beat the other with a kick~” the pale green skinned woman said with a small chuckle. The little fly was stuck in her web now~

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings His breathing had slowed down a bit. His body was still hurting, but it was something that he could handle at the moment. Yeah, just a few more minutes and he should, at least, be able to stand up. He kept looking at the body whose head he had kicked. First, the thug was twitching, seemingly involuntaraly. Then, it stopped. No more movement, no more nothing. Just a lifeless body kissing the cold pavement, his once warm blood coming out from the fracture on his head. Ryuu looked at his own hands: no shakes, no trembling, no... regret. No time to dwell on the situation though, as it was at that moment a female voice was heard in the alley. It came from above, from a metal platform that stood attached to one of the building's walls. By her words, she seemed to have witnessed what Ryuu had done. This is bad, he thought, remembering that both his hat and glasses had been removed during the fight, making his face exposed. On the contrary, he himself couldn't quite see the facial details of the one who spoke to him this because the platform she stood in was in a shadowy place, being that Ryuusei could only see the girl's sillouete in the dark. He kept calm. Yeah, no point in showing weakness. So, like always - or maybe even more than it was normal - his cold, calm and even chilling voice made itself be heard while Ryuu looked up at the shadow that watched him. Birds? More like insects that deserved to die - in a way, part of Ryuu truly believed those words - But I'm only responsible for that one - he pointed to the body he had kicked - The other one got weak by himself...
He paused for a brief moment, still looking at her. Maybe you had something to do it? If so I have to say thanks - he paused for a few seconds - I won't tell if you don't.His last sentence, that ended with a little smile, had a clear meaning: if she knew that Ryuu killed a man, then Ryuu also knew that she possibily killed the other one. Besides, she did not know that Ryuu couldn't see her face - a trap that Ryuu layed during the conversation by keep looking to where she stood. With that last sentence, Ryuu wanted to make the girl come to the ground level in order for him to really see her face. Yeah, that could probably make her do exactly that. But one thing was certain: Ryuusei Igarashi was playing a risky game. However, he was willing to play it. Notes: Things get interesting! Words: 449. Tags: Nari Shimizu

The brunette looked down at the boy with a smirk on her pink lips, watching his every moment for any sign he may flee right there on the spot. His body seemed to be disobeying him that moment so she had a feeling he wouldn't try anything right away. Why not chat while he was recovering, perhaps dig up some information, learn something new, grab another kill~ The night was still young after all, they could have plenty of fun now that the distractions were gone.
"Oh? Deserved to die? I suppose what you did was...heroic in aspect. You saved that boy from practically experiencing death before his time, it was rather bold of you to step in like that. What do you want, a gold star of sorts~" she asked, her smirk growing wider, her eyes growing narrower, as if turning to slits but not quite yet. It was too early to end the game, she liked to play with her prey before she went in for the strike. She listened as he spoke about the other thug growing weaker, not knowing that it was her that caused him to loose his strength...well not finding out yet.
Perhaps he was catching on quick as he accused her of his mysterious loss of strength not even a second later. Perhaps it was luck or maybe an idiot's intuition. "And what proof do you have that I did such a thing? Perhaps I was taking a stroll through town and came across you, it's not nice to accuse a lady of committing a crime," she spoke, her eyes glaring down at him. She didn't like how quickly he was catching onto things, she would have to maintain her act, she didn't want some kid to figure her out. It'd be a waste of a casualty...well, maybe not. Oh, he was smiling up at her. Was he really this stupid as to think she would throw such knowledge away? "Hmmm, and why should I trust someone like you? I could always report to the police that you killed these two innocent men for no reason other than some petty fight. What exactly can you do to make me trust you~?" the green eyed girl asked the chestnut haired boy, watching as the time ticked, their game reaching an interesting point.

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings She wasn't buying into his words. At least not enough to remove herself from the shadowy place. Ryuusei was hoping that the feminine voice looking at him had a short temper, but she seemed the patient type - the one Ryuu hated the most. Why? Because he himself was just like that. Even more than that, it seemed that she was also taking a chance at teasing the brown haired teenager, talking about stars and heroic deeds. Nonsense, Ryuu thought before replying without shifting from his previous tone. If you think smashing a skull with your own feet has something heroic about it then your definition of the word is a little messed up - he took his time looking at the one he killed before adding a rhetorical, in a slightly lower and thoughtful tone - But what is heroism anyway...?Yes, that damned question that plagued his mind more often than not... What is being a hero? He was sure that he would be severely punished if anyone knew about what happened, but, at the same time, he was also sure of another fact: that he had done the right thing. If villains can't restrain themselves, why should heroes do so and become handicaped by doing so? To Ryuusei's insinuation, the one who watched him from above - as if passing judgement - decided to play dumb. Really? It really wasn't that hard to deduce what happened a few minutes before... Ryuusei decided to play into her words and explain to her, making sure that she understood that he wasn't just some dumb kid that could be easily fooled. The guy holding me from behind was applying immense pressure on my neck, so much that I imediately realized that trying to move him away with my arms would just be a waste of energy. Due to the proximity between us both I could also tell that his breathing was completely regular, which means that he wasn't tired at all - he explained in a calm tone while looking up at the sillouete in the metal platform - However, without me doing anything and with him in perfect physical condition, his grip started to grow weak so quickly that I was able to get free and dodge the punch the other guy threw in a way that it hit the one previously holding me - he continued after a brief pause - I got hit by many of those punches and I can assure you that there's no way that just one would kill him. Besides, even if it did, it wouldn't explain his sudden lost of strenght. And if I didn't kill and the punch thrown by his friend also didn't do it, then there's only one more individual here: you, and I don't believe in luck.He was able to put into exact words why he assumed that the girl had something to do with the situation. Her being there couldn't be just a coincidence and would be the piece that solved the puzzle of the thug's sudden loss of energy. How she would react to his words? He didn't know. Yet, he added a little more. I don't know your motivations though - he was now looking at the body they were discussing about - As for how you did it, well, his grip loosen up in a gradual manner, it wasn't sudden. And you weren't at our level, so it had to be something you could throw... If I had to guess, I would say some kind of poison, which would mean there would have to be somekind of entry point on his body - he looked back at her - Should I go there and check him? Afterall, I don't want to be wrongfully accusing a lady of such crime, he finished, playing with the woman's previous words. He kept on pushing the line, but what was he supposed to do? If his thought process was right it would mean that the girl could easily kill him aswell, especially at his weaken state. So, Ryuu made a bet on himself, a bet that would determine if he would get out of there or not. A girl hanging around in a dark alley of Kabukicho at night going to the police? That would be interesting - he pointed with irony how the girl going to the police seemed like a weak bluff - And trusting me? That's up to you to decide, not me to convince. The bet was showing to be interesting enough for the girl to believe it was best to keep him alive. Ryuusei was between a sword and a wall. If putting his neck close to the blade's sharp end meant that the one holding the sword would maybe pull back, Ryuu was ready to have his neck get a little cut. Notes: Ryuu is in a hard spot trying to do what he does best - thinking his way out if it and betting, betting as if his life depends on it! What will happen?! Words: 811. Tags: Nari Shimizu

A soft chuckle left Nari's lips, of course she would have a skewed view of what heroism was, she was a villain after all, but this boy didn't need to know that. “But that was only out of self defense sweetheart. What would have been the better option here, let yourself get strangled to death? They were the ones that had caused this entire mess, you just so happened to get caught up in the middle of it all," she spoke. Heroism was indeed a tricky word to put a precise definition to, it had such indifferent views from various types of people, no one could really say what it was without getting opinionated.
The green-eyed girl watched as the injured boy talked about the situation that happened moments before, saying some strange phenomena was what caused the man to lose his strength and collapse so easily like that. He had nothing to do with that, so there could only be one possible reason why he was weakened so quickly, Nari. My my, what a smart boy he was, deducing that she had helped in his rescue instead of just acting like an innocent bystander~ The brunette began to softly clap, “Good boy~ You deserve two gold stars for that…hmmm no I take that back. Perhaps you only deserve one and a half. I will say that I did do something to aid you, but the reasoning of how I did it is completely off. If you wish to have a look for yourself, be my guest. Perhaps I could give you a demo as well~” she said with a small giggle. This poor boy was falling deeper and deeper into her trap, almost at arms reach to take and devour.
This boy did seem to have some manners though, not wanting to accuse a lady of doing something she did not. He had some sort of chivalry left in his weak body. His next response left him playing with fire, a dangerous game to gamble on my friend~ “Oh, and what would be so wrong with that? The police would know nothing except that I was an innocent bystander who just so happened to witness a crime going on in this alley. That seems usual enough to me~” she told the boy with chestnut locks. Her choice to choose to trust him hmm? The act was up for debate, each side had its pros and cons. Let us wait it out just a bit longer to see what else this boy has left to offer.

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings He waited for her to finish to speak entirely before responding to her words. By the sound of it, the woman was enjoying the situation, watching the whole scenario unfold from below her, from a point where she couldn't be touched. When she stopped, Ryuusei got up in a slow manner. What hurt most were his ribs, specially the left side ones... It hurt like hell and made his breathing completly off, so using his Quirk for even a full minute was out of question. Now up on his own two feet, he continued his now long dialogue with the mysterious woman. He kept his back against wall. Have a look? No, thanks - he said with a little laugh at the end - I don't care if I'm wrong about how you did it, I'm definetely right about it being some kind of long-range thing. It's the most plausible explanation. Besides... - he looked up at her sillouete, his arms crossed - You still being up there just shows that you can hit me from there, just like what happened to the thug, just like a hawk waching his prey...And if I'm a wild rat then I'm not making you're job even easier. He was aware of his disadvantage and had no problem on voicing it to the one watching him. There was calmness inside the ice entailed on his voice, like he was ready for anything... and confident about it. He didn't even know he could be able to remain so calm in dangerous scenarios until a few days before, date of his fight with Jasmine. After that beatdown, it made Ryuusei situation even worse: even if the woman didn't notice, he was completly bandaged underneath his clothes... Running would be impossible. Damn it, he thought to himself realizing how shitty that whole thing was becoming, how badly his body was. Yeah, and then it would be your word against mine - he said before mimicking what he would say to the police - "M-me?! I didn't do it officer, I'm training to be hero! I-I was patroling the streets when I saw this woman killing... killing these two innocent men without any reason and... and when I tried to catch her she just... just ran off, I-I swear!" - he even put up a innocent voice on his previous sentece before turning back to his usual cold tone - I wonder who they would believe without any more evidence to go on with... - he paused - You could always kill me now, but where would be the fun in that?He inhaled and then exhaled loudly. Ryuusei made it seem like it was a sign of him getting bored of the whole back and forth but, in reality, it was because his lungs were burning, desiring for fresh air. He really needed to get out of there. So, he looked up once more, continuing from where he left off... ready to make what he hoped to be his final bet. Let's just pretend that this didn't happen. I didn't kill anyone, you didn't kill anyone. However, if that isn't good enough, I'll be in debt to you, afterall if it wasn't for your action I'd probably be dead by now.He didn't want to reveal who he was, where he studied but, if she was to take the bait, he had to give her something... so, he was ready to tell h- Not yet.Yes, he could continue to play, to bet his life on it... Why take the easy way out? If you're playing, you have to go all in, only then you must quit. One must explore all options, fighting, fighting all the way to the end... Yes, he could feel it on his veins - he wasn't bored, he wasn't afraid... he was calm, excited. If he was totell her, then he had to see her. Yes, only after seeing her would the game be won. Look, just come down here and we'll talk about what can I do for you. This whole thing of you seeing me but me not seeing you doesn't appear very ladylike to me. And I'm sure that I can be more useful to you if I'm alive.Betting your life for the thrill of it... in a weird way, it felt fun. Notes: The strange voice on his head appears once again! Words: 724. Oh, so he wasn’t going to look at the dead body of the thug to see what her quirk was? What a shame, it was a pretty sight to behold if she said so herself. She watched as the boy somehow made it to his feet with the injuries he had received not so long ago, amazed he hadn’t just passed out already. He truly was an interesting character in her little game. She wouldn’t consider her quirk to be all that long range, but she was still working on it, she could just barely reach the man from where she was currently. Hit him from here? She supposed she could, but then she’d be straining to do so, and it was much better to be close to use her quirk than far. It was good for the other to assume something false rather than guess what was true. “No, not really. I could strike you down if I really wanted to, but where’s the fun in ending the game too quickly~?" She said with a smirk, looking down at the injured boy.
Oh, so he knew how to play the game then as well? True if they both went to the police, they were probably more likely to believe the boy because of his injuries, and her meeting up with the cops was not a good idea considering who she was and what she did. Clever boy, clever boy. The woman’s eyes slitted as he mentioned the fun aspect of her little game, the smirk on her face growing wide. My my, what an eager little rabbit just waiting to be caught by the fox~ She slipped back into a normal expression when the boy said to pretend nothing had happened, that was the most logical way of thinking. Think of it as paying the other back, she supposed. Oh, what was this though? He said he’d be in her debt for saving him? Oh, how this game liked to take twists and turns, amplifying the outcome of the game even more.
So, he wanted her to come down and chat hmm? She supposed staying up her was growing rather tiresome, it would be fun to get a better look at the boy who owed her his life. She stopped for a moment, hearing him say that he couldn’t see her from where she was? Really now? A soft chuckle left the girl’s lips, so that’s why he was curious now~? “I could be a good little girl and do as you asked, but then again, I wouldn’t consider myself to be all that good~” another chuckle left the brunette’s lips as she looked down at the boy with chestnut locks. “What difference does it make if I’m up here versus down there? The information will be the same no matter where I am in relation to you~ It’s rather fun to pose an element of mystery, don’t you think? Who knows what tricks you might pull on a poor defenseless girl like me if I were to come down there, you know what sorts of things men do to women in dark alleyways now don’t you~?” Nari asked, stepping just a bit closer to the railing, revealing part of the girl’s face to Ryuusei, only showing him the smirk she had on her face.

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
His back remained leaned against the building's wall, both his hands inside his pants' pockets. It was a good way to show some strenght while actually regaining energy. He was standing on his own legs, which hopefully showed to the women that Ryuusei was, at least, fit enough to get away from there as soon as he wanted - something emphasized by his relaxed demeanour, However, at the same time, he was resting against the wall, which made the act of having his legs support his own body weight not that hard. His ribs though... that was still really hurting. That's also why Ryuu kept his hands on his pockets - that way, he avoid touching the area where he was hurting by instinct. In silence, he kept looking at the woman's silloute, that glaring shadow that overlooked him for some time now. Looking down on someone, having some kind of power and control over a certain situation... An interesting thought. There was a playfulness in the woman's voice. It appeared like she was enjoying the whole thing, enjoying how Ryuu was interacting with her. She kept on teasing him until, as she finished speaking, she decided to lean herself a little bit against the platform's railing, which was also the barrier between light and shadow. It was then that Ryuusei first got a glimpse at the woman who had been talking to him that whole time; who had, esentially, saved his life. She was smirking. Her lips small and red, something that jumped immediately at Ryuu because of the contrast with the girl's skin. It was far away and the place wasn't well litted, but her skin seemed rather pale... and with a coloration of a different spectrum from what one would expect from an human being. Taking into account the distance between her lips and the floor of the platform, the girl didn't seem that tall - actually, she was potentially rather short. This was all the information Ryuusei was able to gather from that small moment. She insisted on keeping herself up there. Stubborness. Ryuusei didn't break eye contact. He smiled before replying. I would never harm a lady, even if you seem to be the opposite of defenseless - Ryuu began, refering to the girl's own words - But I never thought that my saviour would be so shy to the point of not wanting me to look at her face... How else am I going to recognize you in the future in order to pay my debt? Come on down, I swear that I'll only bite if you want me too.
He talked in the same playful tone that the girl was using. He wanted to make sure that she realized that this game had two players... and that he was also enjoying it. But there was also another motive, a more important one: no way he could let a person he met at Kabukicho, who saw him kill a man and killed another herself walk way from there knowing his face while Ryuu himself didn't know hers. Shy? Her? If anything, she was quite the opposite of shy. She supposed he had a point considering she was still up on the platform, but this was all part of the game. It had seemed, though, that the game she was playing was wrapping up, making its final turns before the big conclusion. The only reason she helped the chestnut-haired boy was because he had saved the little mutant child who those thugs were threatening to hurt if not murder. She wouldn’t consider herself a ‘savior’ by any means, although those group of mutants living in the sewers seemed to call her the same but for a different reason.
Repay his debt? The brunette couldn’t help but chuckle at his words, what sort of nonsense was he spouting. Their paths might just cross again in the future, but as of now, it had seemed like this was an unlikely encounter for them both. “I wouldn’t say you have to repay a debt of some kind. Just think of saving that child as repaying your debt. I don’t need anything that you might have to offer,” the green-eyed girl said, taking a step back. She looked around her, figuring out a way down from the platform aside from the way she came up. It had seemed like that was her only option, unless she wished to jump but the ground certainly wouldn’t cushion her fall.
Bite her~? Was he playing with fire? She felt a tingle run through her body at the choice of words the other used. Naughty boy, wasn’t he? “Ahhhh bite me~ Well aren’t you playing with fire~” she said with a chuckle and a smirk. She supposed revealing her face wouldn’t hurt that much, wasn’t like people hadn’t seen her face before after she had killed someone, what's one more person? Nari turned and slowly descended from metal ladder and slowly made her way over to the boy, only getting so close so that he could see her in the dim lamp light. “Happy now buster~?” she asked, a warm smile on her face. She kept her body open in case this boy was planning on doing anything funny. She did have her handy dandy knife strapped to her thigh if she should have to come to that. You could never be too careful now.

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
You might regret that decision in the future, but okay, that's fair, he responded with his ice tone to her words, words that pointed to the fact that she would never need anything from the youngest of the Igarashi family. How disappointing - the voice from the inside echoed in his ears - A truly great spider always spreads her web as far as she can...It looked that the girl had enough fun. For the first time since they began interacting with each other she got out of the platform, climbing down the stairs onto the ground level that Ryuusei was also in - but not before advising Ryuu that he should be careful with his choice of vocabulary at the same time she kept the almost playful tone from before. She kept her different. She was cautious. Well, that was only natural. If she normally roamed around those alleys of Kabukicho she had to be careful - one never knows what they'll find when the dark sky covers this part of Tokyo. However, this time, she seemed to do exactly what Ryuusei asked of her: she showed her face. Ryuu confirmed what he had thought about her skin. It was green in colour, just like the girl's big eyes. By the looks of it, she probably had some kind of mutation Quirk. Maybe a lizard? Who knows. It didn't really matter. What did was that, now, Ryuusei would always recognize that mysterious woman. In a swift motion he took his back off the wall, not depending on it as support any longer. He kept his hands on both his pockets as he took to steps forward, getting just a little bit closer to the position where the girl was. There he stopped. Very happy, he said with a blank smile. And, just like that, he turned and began walking slowly out of the alley, his back turned against the woman. As he kept getting further away from her, he took his right hand out of his pocket and, while walking, raised his arm as if saying goodbye. See you around, Woman from Kabukicho, he said before putting the hand back into his pocket. As he attempted to walk way and the adrenaline of the whole moment began dissipating the pain he felt on his body began getting worse. And that dark thought, that realization began creeping up on his mind: he had killed a man. And an unknown part of it didn't mind it at all. Notes: Attempted exit!Words: 418.Tags: Nari Shimizu
