"Ahh!" The redheaded girl gasped, feeling G hug her tightly against her. She didn't think she did that much, a 'good job' or a 'you're doing great' would have been sufficient, but she was not expecting such a tight bear hug from her teacher. The bubbly girl's cheeks grew a deep shade of red, finding it a little embarrassing how tightly he was hugging her and praising her for doing a good job. She hadn't found the cure to cancer or anything big like that, so why was G treating this like it was some great achievement? No matter the reason, the pudgy girl felt a small smile make it's way to her face as she hugged him, glad he couldn't see it for these few moments.
Reward her? Buy her a meal? He didn't have to go all out just for her doing 30 barbell crunches. "E-Ehh you really don't have to G...I-I was just doing what you taught me to do was all," she said, her voice stuttering just a bit from how flustered she got in a matter of seconds. "W-We can just go for ice cream or something small like that," she said, not wanting him to make this small thing such a big deal. She did feel a little tired, but she was more than capable of walking on her own two legs to wherever they might be headed next...although a ride on her buddy Goliath might not be too bad. She hadn't seen him since...she didn't want to think much about last time. Now she wanted to focus on just the good times, and the good times that were still to come. |

She refused to let him buy her a meal, truly a humble and noble hero in the making. He will gladly settle on ice cream
"Sweet! Ice cream it is" G said
And then he just waited for her to get her stuff and get ready to leave. He could buy her ice cream and escort her to UA. After all, he lives close, so they're going in the same direction anyway
After Chise got all her stuff, the two left and G made his way to the closest ice cream shop
"So, what flavour do you want?" G asked her, while he personally went for the classics such as chocolate or vanilla. He didnt want to influence her choice. G forgot what ice cream she ate last time they met. Last time was a real roller coster of emotions and gifts and tears. And G didnt want to remind her of that. After todays tears, he just wanted her happy. If he could, he'd summon Goliath and show her a new trick he learned. But now was not the time nor place.
Thinking about Goliath though, G wondered if Chise could possibly make her Quirk stronger or someone bypass the lip contact by kissing a photograph. Again the idea of a girl having someone elses voice did sound like a fun time taunting foes or just messing with them.

Chise softly sighed, happy that G wasn't going to fuss over this any more than he needed to. She smiled at him when he let her go, allowing her to go over to the cubby and retrieve her bag. She went back over to him and smiled once more before heading out of the gym with him. Chise carried her bag as the two of them walked to one of the ice cream shops down town. It was a rather small business but they had good ice cream in Chise's opinion. It had been a while since she was las here, she wondered if they owners were doing well, considering they were elderly.
The redhead was brought out of her thoughts when she heard G ask what flavor she wanted. Here came the tough part. She was always so indecisive when it came to these sorts of things, never knowing which one she truly wanted. The list of flavors seemed endless, so many delicious combinations to choose from, so little time. She didn't want to take up any more of G's time than what was needed, so she hurried and picked something. "Ah, I'll just take a small strawberry cone with some sprinkles if that's not too much to ask for," she said looking up at G as they arrived at the small shop. "If you want, I can get us a table to sit at. It's nice outside so I was thinking we could maybe eat out here," the curvy girl suggested to her teacher.

G noticed Chise seemed somewhat familiar with this particular ice cream place. When he asked her a flavour she said strawberry... the 3rd classic flavour and noticably, G's least favorite of the classics. He liked strawberry, but not in ice cream form. Chise then asked him if she should find a table. G just shrugged and said "Sure, if you want"
After Chise went to get a table, he took her order. A small strawberry cone with some sprinkles, meanwhile G asked for the most boring order ever. A regular sized cone with chocolate ice cream. Truly, creative genius.
When he got the ice cream, he turned around and saw Chise and her chosen table. He walked over to her, handed her ice cream and sat down
"Enjoy" he said as he started to eat his ice cream. For a short time, he was finally happy now. He was so proud of Chise and couldnt wait for her to become a Hero. G even started planning what could they do in the future as he ate his ice cream. They couldnt just train, they needed some relaxing time together, to prevent any future tears. They needed to spend time and relax in apeaceful enviroment every once in a while

The redhead softly nodded in response, turning around and finding a small two person table for them to sit at. The violet eyed girl sat at the table, looking down at her hands. Though it didn't show much now, she felt a bit better than how she felt before, stronger even. It would take some work for sure but Chise would keep the training up in order for her to be stronger. She didn't realize G coming to the table at first as she was a little to absorbed in her thoughts. The peach haired girl looked up for a moment to see G holding her small strayberry cone in front of her for her to take. "Ah, thank you. I'll pay you back," the girl said before taking her cone and licking the sides so it wouldn't drip down her hand.
Chise ate her ice cream quietly, not really sure of what she should talk about with G now. Should they discuss future training plans? Should they talk about more casual things? It wasn't like she felt awkward around G, she just didn't want to talk about anything G thought might be silly. "Umm," the poofy haired girl spoke up, "Is there anything you wanted to talk about while we ate our ice cream?" the high school girl inquired. It would be better to have some idle conversation instead of eating in silence. That's what having company meant after all, you couldn't just ignore them now. |

After he gave her her ice cream, Chise said that she'd pay him back. And that was utterly ridiculous to G. This wouldnt be much of a reward if she had to pay for it. He had to stop that
"Pay me? Oh no no no! This wouldnt be a reward if you had to pay me back. You're doing this for free. Getting the lessons and the reward. I dont charge for trying to do good. Now enjoy that ice cream proudly!" he told her and tried to reassure her that she did not have to do such a silly thing as pay him back. G would honestly go broke rather then accept money from this
The two then ate ice cream in peace and quiet for a while. And then young Chise spoke up again, asking if he wanted to talk about anything. Which made him think
"Hmmm" he pondered for a bit "Lets see...I asked ya 'bout school. I dont wanna talk about more training while we relax. So lets see... What did we not talk about thats nice and calm- ah! I know! Have you ever been to the beach since our initial meeting there?" it was really nothing more then a random question. Something that would get their mind off anything bad

The red haired girl felt bad G wouldn't let her pay for something, calling it her 'reward for being a good student'. In a way he acted just like her dad did, it was quite funny to her. Chise let the small argument go and continued eating her ice cream to please the other. She hadn't had strawberry ice cream in a while but it tasted refreshing. She didn't know why more people didn't like it...oh well more for Chise. The lavender eyed girl softly chuckled at the thought, licking around the sides of her ice cream to catch any drips that may have formed. She wasn't much of a sprinkle person but they were a nice change from some of the usual topping she would get, short sweet and to the point.
The curious student listened to her sensei speak about what they had talked about thus far, thinking of something new for the duo to chat about. Oh so he was curious about the beach? "Ah well my school did have a field trip to the beach. It was really nice and warm. I met quite a few new people including Akane. I found lots of nice looking shells to add to my ever growing collection which was a plus. They had a spa and food stands, the ocean water was nice throughout the whole trip. Overall it was a nice get away from school even though everyone from school went," the peach haired girl chuckled at her last comment, finding it ironic how she was supposed to get away from school but still went with people from her school anyway. |

He listened to how she met Akane and maybe other few friends as well. It was a school trip to the beach. How fun. G could only imagine how Miku probably had fun there. But thinking about it. Maybe thats why he met that pink haired woman on the beach. Did she say she knew UA stuff? G for the life of him couldnt remember, who or what that woman was about
"Mmm, I see. I'll probably go to the beach. Y'see, I've been on a break. I took a one month break vacation from Vigilantism to focus on my daily life as a civillian. Things have been hard. And yet, one month is almost up and I feel I still aint ready. I dunno, I have a hard time relaxing. Something always happens. Like when I met your teacher, Yellow. I was doing my own business and then a purse snatcher that she was chasing, ran into me of all people. I mean, even if I was on a break, I had to stop him. But still... I can never catch a break or relax. I wish I could do something fun for a change" he said, but then moments later realized he was venting to her "Oh! Wait!! Sorry! I shouldnt have said that!" he tried to dismiss everything he just said

The young hero listened as her teacher explain how he had taken a break from being a vigilante for a short time to just catch up on some alone time. It wasn't like being a vigilante was a full time job so she supposed taking breaks was easy for someone like G to do. A small frown came to her face, hearing that he could not really enjoy his short break all that much, finding it hard for himself to relax even though he had nothing to do. He was still caught up with small crimes even though he took a short break from being a hero. In a way it wasn't fair to him. He deserved a break, a real break, not some sorry excuse for a break. He needed to be able to do nothing for once instead of running around willy-nilly stopping petty thefts and robberies. He deserved an actual vacation.
The peachy haired hero looked at G with a serious expression, softly slamming her free hand down on the table in the form of a fist. "Don't apologize for that!" she told him, "It's not fair for you to keep doing things when you decided to take a break. Sure it was good that you helped but there are other people out there who are just as capable in stopping a small shop theft. You do deserve to do something fun...and I want to help!" The redhead looked at her teacher with determined eyes and a smile on her face. He had helped her train so now it was her time to repay him back. "What sort of things do you find fun G?" she asked him. If she at least had an idea of what he liked, she could figure something out soon for him. |

As expected, Chise was very emotional about this. She even softly slammed her free hand on the table and told him not to apologize. That really touched him that someone cared for him like that. G thought that if a small incident got her riled up, she'd totally flip if she heard stuff like him finding out that his girlfriend is evil. Yes indeed, G had to keep his life under wraps for her to protect her
Now she asked what did he do for fun or what did he find fun
"Me? Uhh.... lets see...making internet videos, dancing... well.. I did play an instrument or two, but I got rusty, havent played anything in years. What else what else... well...I guess since its summer, swimming is fun. Sports are fun too." he said as he thought what he considered fun. He did like to troll people on the internet, he liked making dance videos or music covers and sometimes even nonserious joke like videos. As a Hawaiian, he enjoyed anything to do with the beach, whether its swimming or surfing or anything else. Then theres the obligatory manly sports
"I like to visit cafes and blog stuff. I mostly do reviews on which cafe serves the best hot cocoa. But thats more of a winter hobby. Over summer, I just rate and review cafes in general." he said "I guess, other then that nothing much. What about you?"

He definitely had some interesting tastes, most of which Chise would have never thought the other would do. She didn't take him as one who liked to dance nor one to make videos for the internet. She supposed you learn a lot more about a person's hidden passions once you got closer to him. The thought of G dancing for the came made a soft giggle escape her lips, not that she was laughing at him but the idea of it was quite humorous. He did have some typical likes for a standard guy; playing sports, playing an instrument, probably a guitar or drums or something cool like that. "An instrument you say? What sort of instrument did you used to play?" Chise asked G, her curiosity getting the best of her in the moment.
Visiting cafes was also something she didn't expect of the white haired man. She liked to enjoy some strawberry shortcake and some chamomile tea every once in a while, she wondered if G like to partake in the same sorts of things. She got a little angry when he asked her about her hobbies, "No, this is about you right now, not me. We can talk about my hobbies later. For now," the red haired girl said taking a lick of her ice cream, "we can focus on doing something together that you would like," she said with a smile. They had plenty of time to train and hang out, this would not be their only day of fun.

G saw that Chise was surprised by his choice of hobbies, she giggled at one of them. G could only imagine which one made her giggle. And then she asked him what instrument did he play "I used to play the ukulele and the harp. Now now! Dont laugh. I was very badass with em. I like to break the rules. I like to play metal on instruments that arent for metal. I like to take expectations and throw em aside with the mind blowing reality that I am"
G explained, which instruments did he play and why did he play them. His answer also explained why no one would expect G do dance or have musical hobbies. His appearance did not match his personality. He liked messing with peoples expectations a bit. Seeing a bit tough guy, expecting something as metal as a guitar, only to hear that he'd rather shred on a ukulele instead. And then he told Miku, the meek one to learn to play drums. Giving the senstive girl a badass instrument. G was childish in that regard that he liked to mess with people.
When he asked about her hobbies, he was surprised to say that this was about him. He felt so special.
"Ok ok, its about me. So you heard my hobbies. What do you have in mind?"

Come again? Th ukulele and harp? If she thought she knew G, she was completely wrong. Who knew such a heavy metal looking man would be into such soft instruments like the ukulele and harp. He worked in a music store and was surrounded with all sorts of music, but she thought he would be much more into the heavy rock instruments like a guitar or a bass or even the drums. He certainly was in interesting person. The violet eyed girl could help but laugh when G said he liked to 'rock out' on the softer instruments, imagining him shredding on a ukulele like you would a guitar in a concert. She wondered what other secrets he kept from her, was he perhaps a magician in disguise or quite possibly hiding an extra limb or sorts? She was glad he shared the fun parts of his life with him, bringing out a side of her teacher she didn't expect to even see.
When the topic came back to what they would plan to do, Chise tapped her chin in thought, trying to decide with the new information she had what they could do for fun. "Well, perhaps we could combine some of your hobbies together...maybe make a video of us dancing on the beach?" the shorter girl said with a smile, soon laughing at her own idea. Maybe that would not be the best course of action. "We could try playing our instruments together. I think I still remember how to play the piano," the peachy haired girl said. "If you have any ideas please feel free to chime in as well," the young girl said before taking another lick of her ice cream. Mmmm, yummy.

She wanted to combine their hobbies? She knew how to play the piano?
"You want us to dance on the beach? Sounds fun, but also sounds like we'll get all hot and sweaty in seconds. Maybe if we did it somewhere else" he scratched his head "Also" he looked at her "You know how to play the piano?? Thats awesome" he complimented her on her hidden skill
He thought what else they could do as he ate his ice cream. And then randomly said "Does your friend Akane know some fun stuff. Or do you want to keep it just me and you" he asked
Trying to come up with ideas on what to do.
"If you want, we could do the dance thing. I was thinking about doing some normal beach stuff. But you came from the beach. So no dice there" he shrugged and stopped thinking about hobbies and focused more on his ice cream.
He couldnt come up with anything, but then again he couldnt force fun. He played his cards with the hand Life gave him. He went with the flow bearly planning things out at all. He was impulsive. Planning was always one of his weak sides. At least he was getting better with talking

Chise figured her idea of combining all G's hobbies together might not be such a good idea after all. "Yeah, it sounded a lot better in my head then it did when I actually mentioned it. We could split those two things up and do them individually; go to the beach or stay inside and dance in front of a camera for the internet. And yes I used to play the piano when I was younger. I'm not sure how good I am now but I suppose I won't know unless I try," the redhead said with a smile. It was fun to play the piano even though her fingers would end up hurting by the time she was done.
The peachy haired girl licked around her ice cream, preventing it from dripping down her hand. She softly bit into the cone, getting some ice cream as well. She didn't realize how quickly she had eaten her ice cream but then again she did get a small cone rather than a large one. "I wouldn't mind doing either. I can't promise I'm a good dancer but I could try. The beach isn't a bad idea either. Perhaps we could go looking for shells of fish off the pier or even just enjoy the sun," the young high school girl said, suggesting different things for the two of them to do. She didn't really mind what they did, it would be fun no matter what since they would be doing it together. |
