Heroes came in all shapes and sizes and all shades of gray. Not all heroes were as simple and plain, some were complex, and battled wars that the public would never see. Being a hero wasn't always easy, nor straightforward. You couldn't be good all the time, but even so, sometimes bad things must be done for good to succeed... Chise went on to start to explain more about her quirk, and while Kasey wouldn't remember it later, she chose to listen. The problem of a spirit that almost screamed at her all day, every day. It was like having someone force thoughts that weren't yours, into your own head. But it always helped to listen. She would explain how touching lips to lips with her, would grant her the ability to copy someone's voice. It sounded strange. Wasn't a voice tied to vocal chords? Was it the saliva or some other means that allowed her to weave herself to mimic another's tone? "Silly? How so?" Kasey said with a smile, "Think about all of the villains you could fool by using the voice of their friends or someone they trust. Think about all of the secret agent type things you could do!" Kasey spoke in a slight excited manner. It was simple, but yet so complex. ~ 217~

Ehh? Did she really ask that? She would have guessed Kas would have agreed with her about how silly her quirk was, but instead she asked why the redhead thought her quirk was silly. She then went on to explain that her quirk could be useful in helping fool villains as well as the undercover missions she could do with the quirk she had. She had thought about becoming an undercover spy, since most hero work she would be unsuited for. Most heroes had some basic fighting power and style whereas Chise could barely harm a fly.
A smile found it's way onto the girl's face as she replied, "I had thought about going undercover once I got my hero license. It's...been a big dream of mine since I was small. I didn't think I would able to be a hero given my quirk and talents, so that's why I chose to go the rout of an undercover hero. Not a vigilante but a hero, just one that worked behind the scenes and not out in the front lines," Chise explained to her older friend. It was a bit of a confidence booster to hear someone else say that her quirk was good for something, especially after what she had to go through in middle school.
Talking about her own quirk made the peach haired student slightly curious about if Kas had a quirk or not. She knew it wasn't polite to intrude on someone's personal life but it wouldn't hurt to ask...right? "A-Ahh Kas, I was wondering if you too possessed a quirk of your own. I understand if you wish not to share the details of it, but I was just curious if you had one or not," the violet eyed student said with a smile. She didn't have to go into detail if she wished not to, the main thing the general studies student was curious about was if she had a quirk or if she was quirkless.

Everyone had different views of the world for different reasons. Some perspectives were beaten and bent, while others were cared for and loved. Some saw the world the same way, even if the same society tried to change it, while no matter how much you protected another, it saw the world in a twisted manner. Kasey was someone who had been able to see the world through other people's eyes, even for moments, seeing in the reflection of their irises. She wanted to bear the weight of the world so everyone else could be carefree. There was no such thing as a useless or meaningless skill. Only people who did not have the perfect opportunity presented to them. "Then do just that, Chise." Kasey would say to her, "I believe in you. You can be a great rescue hero!" She spoke full of joy, envisioning a world where evils would rule no longer. A world full of heroes, were the bad guys were always outnumbered. It was what she wanted, and would stop at nothing to achieve her utopia. "I do have a quirk, but it's not too helpful." Kasey would admit, unsure of how much to really tell the girl. "My quirk, when I use it, changes and shapes my body. The more I use it, the heavier strain I put on myself. More often, I hurt myself more than I can help anyone. It's not a helpful quirk for a janitor." She spoke out, talking about her bone quirk, without even going as far to mention that word. But maybe she deserved that much. "A lot of times, my insides bleed when I use it, and I need to get medical attention afterwards." She told the girl, perhaps more than she told anyone. But it wasn't like she used her quirk rarely. Often she could be found practicing using her bones. But not many had stumbled upon her. ~ 320~

Did she hear the pinkette correctly? Was she...cheering her own? A small smile found it's way onto the redhead's face at the girl she had barely known saying such kind words to her. She felt a few tears prick the corners of her eyes, quickly wiping them away before they could roll down and stain her porcelain cheeks. "Thank you Kas...just to hear that sort of validation...it just feels good. Reassuring even. It may not seem like much to you but to me those sorts of genuine words mean a lot to me," she said, clearing away any other tears that might pop up, not wanting to seem like a crybaby in front of the janitor.
The peach haired student patiently listened as Kas explained her own quirk, not going too much in detail with it. The high school girl felt bad that the other's quirk injured her, to the point that she could barely use it due to how much strain it seemed to put on her body. "I-I'm...sorry to hear that. I couldn't imagine having a quirk that hurt my body, one that was difficult to use if you wanted to become a hero. How could you help someone when you can't even help yourself?" she spoke in a sullen, saddened tone of voice, feeling terrible. "I know I can't do much to help you out...but I appreciate you sharing such information with me. Maybe one day, I'll be able to do something to assist you...maybe even something small as finding something to prevent heavy bleeding," the redhead said, hopeful that someone could be done to help the pink haired girl.

] Glancing out the window, Kasey had all but knew the time, only that it had passed. She questioned herself how long her break really had gone off to be, but it wasn't like they would get mad. She was only a janitor, it wasn't like she mattered all that much. Most of the students cleaned after themselves. But it wasn't like she wasn't needed. The little things left behind. The trash, the bathrooms, the discolored walls. The vending machines, the toilet paper and other things. Her presence was mostly redundant and useless, but still, she had make herself useful. The girl would go on, almost solidifying her impure quirk. It wasn't like it was the sole reason she was kicked out from her home as a child. It wasn't like she was a demon to them. But Kasey didn't know of that truth, she never would. She would always know how people looked at her, and the pain her body endured. Kasey smiled, hearing her words. It was true. It would be difficult for anyone to be a hero with her quirk, her power... her friend. She was impure, a failure. There was no where she could fit, being a hero or a villain. her quirk would cause her more harm than she could help anyone, for better or worse. The girl offered her aid to help mend wounds, something Kasey had already explored and discovered on her own. With a nod, she smiled to her, "Or course! I can even stop by later on when you've figured it out!" She wanted to give the girl hope, despite Kasey being hopeless herself. "Well anyways, I think my break is almost over and I should get back to cleaning. The toilets won't clean themselves!" She would give a wave and begin to take a step backwards. She didn't want to just leave and end the conversation, but she also didn't want to lose her job. Perhaps if she had nothing more to say, it would be alright. ~ 336~

"A-Ah ok! It might be a while thought before I think of something...b-but I will definitely let you know when that idea comes to mind!" she said with a warm smile. Sure she may not know much medical attention or anything really besides the basics of taking care of a small injury, but she would at least try to learn if it could help someone out in the long run. Even if her chances for becoming a hero were slim, she could at least support those who had a better chance than her.
The redhead was going to speak up again until she heard that Kas had to get back to work, she certainly didn't want to get the girl in trouble for not doing her job nor did she want to take up too much of the other's time. "A-Ahh alright! M-Maybe we could hang out again sometime, my treat," she said, watching as Kas smiled in response. Chise felt her cheeks heat up a bit as she watched the girl wave and walk away. "See you soon Kas!" she said, watching as the newest addition to the U.A. staff rounded the corner with her cart, going back to do her job. Chise looked up at the clock and sighed, by now it had seemed that no one might actually be left in the building. Perhaps she should just go back and relax in her room. She was sure she had enough ingredients to try out that new cookie recipe she had been meaning to try.
With a soft smile on her face and a renewed sense of motivation, the peach haired girl soon made her way out of the school and back to the dorms. She hoped to see the older girl in the halls as they changed classes, perhaps she would get another chance like today to talk to Kas. Maybe she could message the girl and have a day for just the two of them together. That sounded like a good plan! Everyone liked having a day of rest, relaxation, and fun!
