People could say what they wanted about the Aoyagi family all they wanted; They had more money than brains, they were just another rich family heartlessly running a giant corporation, they didn't care about anyone other than themselves, they treated their employees poorly, and a lot of other things. A lot of what was said was said by people who had never met the Aoyagi family or worked for the family or their company. While the children could sometimes be brats, the family and company they owned treated all of their employees with the utmost respect. They gave much more paid time off than other companies of the same size, better benefits, far better pay, great pension plans, and all of that wasn't just for the company they ran. The caregivers, nannies, and hired help for their homes were also treated the same way. This was why when Takara's parents heard that one of their longest serving home helpers' anniversary plans had been canceled on them by their planners, they took it upon themselves to step in.
The help had planned a trip to the countryside for a year now, having even gotten people in line to watch their daughter, but every bit they had planned fell through at the same time. Takara's parents had planned a two week business and personal trip to Australia for around the same time and when their workers said they wouldn't need the time off anymore, Takara's parents offered to take the couple with them to Australia on their own dollar. Despite the helps insistence that that was far more than the Aoyagi's needed to do and that they couldn't accept it, the elder Aoyagi's wouldn't take no for an answer. Even their daughter and Takara's older sister, Junko, offered to help, offering to watch the couples daughter for the two weeks the parents were gone. The Aoyagi's made it a point that a lot of their personal help, if they had children, should meet and know the Aoyagi kids, even going as far as to pay for many of their helps' children to go to the same private schools. To them it formed stronger bonds between them and their workers, and as such, if ever a scenario like what was happening arised, there were people who could watch the kids that weren't strangers. Grateful, the young couple eventually agreed to the Aoyagi's offer, and Junko and her husband took the young daughter for the next two weeks to watch while all the parents went to Australia.
This all had lead to Takara being asked to watch the young girl, Kimi, for a bit on this day. All the parents had left about four days prior, and Junko had been having Kimi with her at her hero agency while her husband worked at his office. Unexpectedly for Junko however, her agency was needed for a large prisoner transfer stopping point. As she didn't want the young Kimi around the criminals, she asked her younger brother Takara to watch over her for a while. Takara had agreed as Kimi was one of the helps' children he knew the best. She and his little brother Ryu were good friends with similar quirks and he had watched the young girl before.
As it was the Ren Fair currently, Takara took Kimi to the Fair, giving the six year old a piggy back nearly the whole time. The girl had an elastic-like body quirk, allowing her to mold her body into different shapes and stretch out very far. This made it easier to carry her, since she could just coil her arms around Takara and not slip. The young blond's face did not have it's usual contemplative and arrogant look to it today, instead he was beaming happily. Takara owed a lot to Kimi's parents, they were the ones who watched him the most growing up outside of his own parents. He was so close with her and her parents that she was basically a little sister to him, and as such, he watched over her much like he'd watch over any of his siblings.
"And who do you say is the coolest hero if anyone asks you?"
"HARU! HARU! HARU!"
"That's right! Big brother Haru!"
The small conversation between the two was interrupted here and there as the young girl shoved gobs of cotton candy into her mouth, and the two laughing as other things were talked about. If any of his classmates spotted him, this would probably be a different Takara than they'd have seen by this point
