It was a sunny day with no cluds. Not many people were out an about outside, meaning he would be able to spot his target super fast. The big nerds over IT only gave him her visitor pass and a name. Granted he could also see her face there on the big screen but still a few extra details would work wonders.
The black jackal hero would stand there wearing his usual skintight combat suit and gloves. He was leaning on the door and had his arms folded on his chest. The fluff behind his back was waving in a lazy pattern, like this thing he was doing was the most boring thing in the world.
Because it was the most boring thing in the world DEAR LORD SOMEONE SAVE HIM.
Thankfully for the young british hero, he would not need to wait for long. He would spot his quarry soon enough. The young magnetic hero Ion. Springing into action, the canine would quickly zig zag around a couple bystanders and happily wave at the young lady. "Heeeeeey there, Sunshine! Nice weather today, innit?" He would say with a playful tone over a grin and a rather theatrical demeanor. "You mist be Ion, yes?"
He circled around the girl once before stopping in front of the other hero, giving her a once over. He would rumage in his satchel bag and pull up a badge. He would hold the plasticy thing up and squint at it as he compared the photo to the lady in front of him. "Hmmmmmm..." he used his other hand to frame Ion's face better in view. He waved the thing around for a couple of seconds then gave her a thumbs up. "Yep yep you're the one! Bureau's been waitin 'fer ya. You look better in the flesh you know?" He would state with a wink and a stuck out tongue while casually tossing the badge ID he held in his paw at the lady before him.
"Righty-o! We have things to do and stuff to say, Sunshine." He would chirp as he turned around while waving a finger in the air, all while hopping back to the entrance door that lead inside the Bureau. "The badgemamabob goes on the thingamamabob over hereeeeee so that it can open these bad boys up-" He waved at the reader on the wall and then lightly smacked the doors with his hip, before flipping his own ID tag to open them.
"First stop, lounge area 'cus I need me a tea n' sum biscuits." He'd conclude his cameo with perfect british english.

Although it was not completely clear to her why she had to make an appearance in this specific part of town, Maségo went either way. The notification came to her via email through the proper channels and since it seemed like legit hero business she went along with it with no hesitation. Decked out in her full "costume" which turned out to be her regular shinobi wear, Maségo had not wandered around for more than ten minutes before she was approached by a slick black furred dog. He walked on two legs and spoke clearly as he zigzagged out of the crowd and directly towards her. Initially she would think to be on the defensive but nothing in her mind struck her as this being an attack or an assault on her person or the people nearby. It did not take long for the shock to set in as she realized who this was and potentially what he was doing here, as well as who had sent her the email.
"Blacktooth?!"
She would exclaim as his playfully stated questions were answered with Maségo nodding her head vigorously.
Like anyone would be if they met a famous celebrity, the young dark skinned hero would take several seconds to herself trying to get out all the fangirling she would of liked to do towards one of the best heroes in the country being here right in front of her. She had to act professional, especially if working with him was going to be part of the job. Nodding again despite being awestruck, Maségo could not help but blush at his offhand comment while she caught her ID badge, about her looks before she could even process the idea that the Bureau was waiting for her. Who was the bureau? Who at the bureau was waiting for her?
Following the Pro through the streets it was not long before they reached the buildings that Maségo finally noticed and was able to put the pieces together. The Bureau was the Bureau of Investigations. That was why Blacktooth was here, and why she was sent to meet with him. There must be some sort of mission they wanted her knowledge for in order to help finish it. Awestruck all over again though better at handling it than last time, Maségo listened and nodded as Blacktooth took the lead in showing her how to get into the building and the necessary first steps.
"All clear Nightshade. Lead the way, I'll be right beside you."
She would say with a slight smile, trying to make a connection to the nickname he was giving her with the nickname she just gave him. It was a bold move because it could easily be taken as a jab or insult but Maségo was more than confident that the playful attitude Blacktooth seemed to have since meeting her would be extended to this comment as well. Perhaps even in the field? Would they be working together? The idea of working alongside such a well known and good looking hero as Blacktooth brought heat to Maségo's cheeks, her mind praying that it was not noticeable.

"Yes, that would be me. I left "Aweso-" in the other room but don't worry we'll go grab that after briefing. For now you can call me Tyson if you want." Tyson would spin and bow at the young lady beside him as they went inside the premises. The taller hero would casually walk up to the metal detectors and security checkpoint only to chuckle at her remarks soon after. Well well well, she was quick on his game uh? He could appreciate that. She seemed lighthearted and sunny enough of a gal. His nickname was quite fitting. "Nightshade works too if it be tickling your fancy."
Amusement aside, the taller hero would invite her over to a ID locked door that'd skip them the hassle of going through security. He would gently scoop her closer with an arm around her shoulders before waving to the guard stationed there. His fur was uncommonly soft. "She's with me, don't mess up my date yeah?" He teased, watching the guard snort once and then lower his rifle to unlock the door and let them through.
"I'm feeling this one Greg!" The jackal shouted at the guard once past the barriers, resulting in another loud snort as Greg locked the door behind them. He would let Ion go only to waltz into a corridor and playfully boop her nose just once. "Careful there, Sunshine. Your blush is showing." He chuckled, not having failed to notice her excitement to meet him. He was excited to meet her too! He had heard many great things about her. She was certainly a capable hero and a strong one at that!
Now that they were inside, the male hero would cool it down a little to not disturb the workes in the offices and cubicles around them. "It's very nice to meet you, Ion. I've been reading alot of great things on your file you know that? Part of the reason why you've been called here."
At the end of a hallway the black furred hero would call for an elevator. He would ask something as they waited for it to arrive. "I assume you have many questions about the sudden convocation yeah?"

Smiling inwardly at the acceptance Tyson had given her towards the nickname she gave him, Maségo did not care what the situation was, this was bliss. Things got even better as the jackal-hero wrapped an arm around her should and ushered her to and beyond the metal detectors, security checkpoint, and the armed guard stationed there. 'Greg' apparently was not too pleased with Tyson nor his theatrics probably because he did things like this all the time. Or perhaps was Tyson's personality was so playful that it got on peoples nerves at times. To the young shinobi hero despite her training dictating that she should be serious and emotionless at all times, a future where she worked alongside Tyson, or at least someone like him, was definitely something she knew she would enjoy. The more chances she could have at being wrapped up and held by his soft fur the better.
The 'boop' on her nose brought back another wave of blushing despite her attempts not to, the warmth she felt on her shoulder gone in the same motion. Now that they were inside, Maségo was able to see how things were being handled here at the Bureau. Cubicles and stalls held both men and women of various shapes and sizes, all working at a desk with both a computer and phone. Some were conversating in tones that told the young ninja that she was better off not hearing what they were saying, while others were boisterous about one thing or the other. Continuing to follow him past these workers it seemed as though the job that she was called for was beyond their station and somewhere much higher than this current floor. Nodding aimlessly as she looked all around taking in the different uses of furniture and decorations the building had to offer.
Stopping at an elevator Maségo ran a hand through her hair and adjusted her sleeves in a fidgety act of nervousness. They were getting close, she could feel it and despite Tyson's efforts to keep her relaxed Maségo could not help but feel a tiny bit anxious now that the excitement was dying down. Trying to keep things professional the young woman would clear her throat before answering Tyson's question; albeit with a question of her own.
"Just one but I feel as though it'll be answered soon enough. What in my file made you decide I was the right choice for this?"

"Nothing!" Tyson's reply rang out in the elevator. The door would open on another security checkpoint, which would mean Ion had to suffer being hugged by the other hero again. The two guards though immediately opened the door for them, the mere sight of the black furred hero enough to offer them proof of their security clearance. They mostly remained straight faced at his antics, though a heavy sigh indicated they were well aware on how upbeat he acted.
Once inside, Ion would be treated to quite a sight. The 50th floor of the Bureau was entirely dedicated to Tyson himself. His office spanned an entire floor. The huge open space was divided in three main parts: A lounge area complete with pool balcony, fireplace, bar and and just about anything you could find on high end hotels; to the side there was a high tech metting room whose glass windows would darken up as they walked past it; finally there was the office proper, a small room to the corner or the whole thing.
Tyson had the young heroine enter his office and make herself comfotable on the huge chair before his desk. He himself would sit across the room facing her, albeit in a very relaxed stance. Kicking his feet up on his desk, Tyson snapped his fingers. The huge windows to the right turned opaque and the door locked itself.
"I'll be honest, Sunshine. The facility AI pretty much did the heavy lifting for this project." He stated. Another snap and the light on the ceiling turned into a holographic projector, opening up a munch of screens around them. Each one of them held the file of a high tier hero. All the top heroes of the region were present.
"As you can see, I found a nice bundle of words around here I could choose from. Each one of these fine gentlemen and women are accomplised heroes. The facility AI calculated how compatible these peeps would be when working with me. The lowest score is a 95 and the highest is a 99.7."
He waved a hand and all the profiles neatly floated in a grid formation to their left by the window. A much bigger screen opened on Tyson's back. Ion's profile. Compatibility score was low 40s.
"The only thing the machine failed to understad is that I don't like numbers." Tyson stated, clapping the profiles away. "Your quirk is magnetic based. My quirk is explosive in nature. That alone apparently costs you 30 points in that stupid evaluation algorithm."
Dropping his feet down, Tyson turned a little more serious, but still had a warm attitude towards the other hero. "You're a shinobi. That means you value integrity, honor and secrecy. From the work I have seen you do, you are dependable. Just our idle chitchat alone tells me much more about you than a number on paper ever will. Just because you are "not compatible" or your quirk is classed at a lower rank than mine does not mean you aren't capable or good at your job. In my humble opinion you are awesome, far more than those people I have shown you. "
He leaned in towards her. "I chose you because I want to prove a point. I cannot stand this stupid metric used to measure one's worth. The Bureau will know in due time. Now, the final choice is of course yours, but I think you'd rather know what you'd be getting yourself into to begin with, yeah?"

The elevator ride was pretty uneventful the way Tyson answered her question deflated her ego just a bit, but the young woman would not let that ruin the moment. As soon as the door opened they started to move, Tyson put his arm around her as they went through yet another checkpoint which was beginning make Ion ask some questions. Why? Not that she did not like it but it seemed like he was...being protective? Over her when it came to the guards. She had been in highly secure areas before and her guides never had to wrap themselves around her to show that they were together. Not to mention Ion did already have an ID badge for the building. Using her quirk in the way that she is most used to; Ion would subtly check the shinobi weapons she keeps on her person in case of combat. They would all resonate which would signify to her that they had not been tampered with.
Maybe it was so that the metal she had on would not be detected? Scanning her memory, the other times he did this was when she had to get past the metal detectors. Did his quirk allow him to cloak her in that way? Despite all the information she knew about Tyson through newspapers and such, she could not piece together solid info that detailed the inner workings of the pro-hero's quirk. Maybe she also was just overthinking it, Nightshade was a really nice guy and if the tabloids were speaking any truths he would be too honest a person to lie or deceive her.
The floor Tyson lead her to was huge. She had seen some big personal spaces before but the way this floor was partitioned off made Ion feel like a curious little cat. She wanted to wonder off and explore every bit and corner and wall of it but she had to be professional. Her interactions with other heroes over the years has taught her that being herself was the best thing she could do. However even doing that at times was difficult so maybe the fact that Tyson looked more like a jackal with his sleek black fur and bright leading eyes made conversating with him easier.
Ion made herself comfortable in a fashion that most shinobi of her skill would. Both legs closed in front, arms resting in her lap her back straight but not touching the back of the chair. She was relaxed enough though only because she knew that in a pinch her quirk would give her enough mobility to escape many situations. Glancing around she noted a few escape routes, the main ones being the windows and the obvious one being the elevator they came up. Important to keep track of all possibilities. As the screens came up Ion noted the holographic machine; she would have to get one of those for her movie nights. Nodding at the names that popped up on the imagery, Ion recognized a few names but others she did not. Perhaps they were heroes way before she started in the business? Probably however what got her attention was the percentages.
Understanding the formula thanks to Tyson's explanation; Ion eagerly looked for her own name and percentage. As much as she tried to hide it the disappointment would show on her face as the low 40 showed behind Nightshade. Nodding her head in response to the ideals Tyson mentioned she goes by, Ion was immediately brought back to a simpler time; a garden with her grandpa.
"Yes please, and if it is within my ability I would like to help you prove that these numbers can't, won't and shouldn't define a person's ability to complete a mission."

"Well I am glad you think so." Tyson replied, getting comfortable in his seat. He was going to explain some things.
"So, the Bureau is testing new toys, something about an old project picking back up I'm told." He began, snapping a screen between them. It showed the blueprint for some kind of outfits, split into multiple layers. A undersuit and then armored plating. It all was mostly white in color and had the bureau's symbol on the jacket's shoulders. Tyson focused on the undersuit part of the getup.
"These are an experimental little nanosuit thing they call Resonance Suits." He stated, flicking the hologram so that it assembled itself into its completed form. It looked like something straight out of a sci fi movie. "Apparently the project has reached testing phase. Now, what do these suits do...well anything but coffee." Tyson mused, chuckling for a moment before continuing.
"The idea behind them is that they work in pairs. Every suit has a twin that resonates with it. Now the sciency mumbo jumbo is lost on me but the genral thing is that if a pair of heroes working together had these on, they'd be able to do a whole lotta stuff. In general they make work easier."
He opened a case report file beside the spinning preview.
"Long range communication, hazard protection and life support. Real time ecolocation between itself and its twin..." the black jackal listed off a bunch of things. "And most importantly, Adaptive Resonance." He paused pointing at the big word in bold.
"It's the ability of the suit to adapt to the user and the twin. Theorethically they'd allow the pair wearing them access to facets of eachother's quirk. Now this part is something that's only been speculated on, which is were we come into play, Sunshine."
The holograms faded and the room went back to normal. Tyson got up from his chair and began pacing around the office. "I needed someone compatible to me to be my partner for a while as we tested these things. Basically, if it worked, we would be the first ever team of linked-heroes or "Twins". That's the hope at least."
The young hero stopped by the shelf at the back of the room, leaning against it as he spoke with the shinobi. "What the nerds of the RnD division forgot to take into account is that people might have compatible quirk and hate eachother. If I am to spend my time linked to someone else I'd rather have someone I enjoy both as a person and as a hero. Hence, why I called you. Forget the numbers, by the way. You were my first choice in any case. From the work I have seen you do I knew we'd get along."
He kicked off the bookshelf and walked back to sit on the desk facing the heroine.
"This is what you're getting into in as few easy words as I can put it. I am asking you if you'd be willing to work with me for the bureau and do a set of test missions out in the field while equipped with these suit thinghies. If the whole resonance thing as any chance to work I want to demonstrate it works because the pair of heroes inside the suits are a team and not because arbitrary beep boops giving us numbers. Naturally you wouldn't be doing it for free, you can expect the same compensation as any top agent of the bureau, 3.000.000 Yen per month. The suit itself would also become your property after the test is done aaaand you'd also gain access to the Bureau's resources and assets should you need it."
The jackal grinned. "Now I understand this is a weird and oddly elaborate way to ask someone out for a date, but that's the gist of it really. It's us playing with together with the bureau's top secret toys for a while. And hey if we do end up liking it even better yeah? So...what do you think?"

From her seat Ion took in all the information Tyson gave to her. The first thing that caught her attention was nano-suits that work in pairs. She has read a bit of manga as well as seen a few sci-fi movies and the fact that this brings the two worlds together was unreal. As Tyson ran through the preview of all the major capabilities of the suits, Ion herself read them as well, trying to commit to memory all the abilities she would have at her disposal while in the field. The last thing she wanted to do was hold Tyson back or worse put them into a situation where they would be in danger due to a decision she made. What caught her attention next was the fact that the suits allowed her and Tyson to use small facets of each others quirk. Would that mean that they would have to go into full detail about each others quirks?
In typical romantic stories that Ion has read during her free time, a way two people got closer romantically was through detailed explanations of their quirk. It was a form of trust used to strengthen the bond between the two who would eventually go from dating to marriage. From Ion's experience in working with other quirk-ed individuals, an auto form of trust would be created between the partners working. A sort of "we're both pro-heroes I believe you will act correctly if put into a difficult situation". So this type of unity that the suits, the Bureau, and by extension Tyson was asking for was something Ion was completely new to and to be honest, a bit nervous about.
As stoic as she tried to stay throughout the presentation, Tyson mentioning that she was his first and best choice out of all the possible heroes to work with did make her blush again. It was clear that compliments were an auto trigger to this physical reaction and it was definitely not something she could resist. She had to believe that the pro-hero was not flirting with her but instead talking in a manner he was most comfortable with. As Tyson continued with his rundown of the suits, Ion would also hear that the suit would become her personal possession and naturally she would get paid for her efforts. It was alot of money, definitely more than what she was getting paid now but this was not about the money. The ability to have access to the resources the Bureau had was also a nice perk too.
As the briefing came to an end, Ion would stand up slowly and smile in Tyson's direction clapping her hands together twice in agreement with everything that has been said. She had no objectives and was more curious about how these suits would work in the field. Of course there was the danger of them malfunctioning or worse case scenario, one of them getting captured and a villain getting their hands on the suit, but Ion was confident that anything or anyone who tried...would be stopped.
"Let's get started."

Tyson grinned. She did not have a moment of hesitation. He was happy to see she was willing to help and ready to take on the world. He could not ask for a better partner, that is exactly why he had called her there. He knew the training and missions ahead of them were going to be tiring, but if all went well they were probably going to have a nice breakthrough that could help the entire region.
"Excellent! I knew I could count on you, Sunshine!" He chimed, giving her a thumbs up. "Keep the id I gave you, I'll update it to Level 5 clearance as soon as I can."
The jackal hopped in his seat again and started typing a message on his phone. "If that's okay with you, we can start tomorrow morning at 0600 hours. I hear that we'll need to perform some aptitude tests before wearing the suits for the first time and get used to them. I'll be waiting for ya at the entrance, then show you off to our secret playground."
Tyson let go of his phone and chuckled. "This is going to be fun..."
