| ◀ | Cold as ice, soft as snow ❆ Another day at the hero school. Whenever Sekka wasn't in class or resting at her dorm room, she would typically be out training. Her body, her mind, and definitely her quirk. She didn't want to only make herself stronger. She wanted her precious ice dragon summon to be stronger too. The girl wanted Hiryu to be in top shape. And so, she would ask one of the teachers for help. Seeing as students needed to be supervised when using their quirks, Sekka would approach the first teacher she saw and request their help. Fortunately, the girl would get what she wanted.
And so it was time to begin preparations. After all classes were done, Sekka would change into her gym clothes and head to the gym to begin setting things up. Plenty of training dummies, mannequins to act as civilians, a few drones courtesy of the Support course, several boxes and cones to act as building walls and various other obstacles, and a few other things. Sure, Sekka could just train outside and have much more space for her and Hiryu to move around. However, there was a reason Sekka wanted to do this indoors. As a hero-in-training, it was expected for the girl to be able to perform well in any environment. With that in mind, it was best to get used to the possibility of having to fight indoors as well as outdoors. Better to be versatile than limited.
"Thank you so much again for agreeing to oversee this training session, Kalo-sensei." Sekka would bow respectfully, since of course the girl had proper manners. With that done, it was time to get started. Before summoning Hiryu, Sekka wanted to go through a practice run on her own. She wanted to see how well she could perform on her own, versus how well she did with help from her ice dragon. So the girl would immediately start sprinting, doing her best to try and avoid the hovering drones that would fire at her. Fortunately, the drones wouldn't fire actual bullets or lasers, or anything ridiculous. This was just training, after all. So all Sekka needed to worry about was not getting hit by foam darts and paint balls.
Of course, this training session was not just for Sekka only. Any student was free to come to the gym to either observe or take part in it. Sekka wouldn't mind having someone to train alongside. In fact, she looked forward to working alongside her fellow students. Well, most of them, anyway. There was one certain annoying exception thanks to the student chat. However, one spoiled apple wasn't enough to ruin everything. Sekka still wanted to try and work with any of the others that were just as serious as she was in becoming a competent and responsible hero someday. |

The locker room was empty and strangely quiet. Tying her hair in a braided bun and fixing the hem of sport shorts, Bibiana looked at herself critically. Her body wasn't exactly fit - it was pretty normal, minding those annoying curves of course, with a nice waist and troubling lack of prominent muscules. Despite regular walks and her regular activity, Bibi couldn't say she was as capable as others. Months before joining U.A she started working out, but she saw the physical abilities gap between herself and fellow students. They were preparing themselves for a long time, taking courses, training martial arts, and dedicating every free minute to bettering themselves. Of course, she wasn't afraid of sacrificing her comfort zone - being a hero wasn't all about being fit, but for the sake of being competent enough, she needed to get used to moving more than usual. Can't afford to be left behind, after all. Working out in the morning in her room wasn't the same as active training in the school gym, so Bibiana took her time to prepare herself. And now, tying shoelaces and checking her wrists, she took a deep breath, put a sports bag on her shoulder... Yeah, she already changed, no point in getting back to her room, right? Bibi walked into the training hall.
Someone was already there. Bibiana's ears twitched slightly when she spotted a black-haired girl running away from hovering drones. For a moment she was observing from the distance - the student had some skills, it could be seen in the way her body moved. Different types of quirks were needed to be balanced and complemented by other abilities - that's why Bibi needed to discover what she should focus on herself. Her classmate, Sekka, was busy avoiding darts that the flying machines were firing at her, who knew, maybe she already figured that one out? Of course, she recognized her. Maybe Bibi wasn't exactly feeling up to interacting with students in her class, but at least she made enough effort to remember their names and faces. Looking to the side she saw the blue-skinned teacher, clearly supervising her training. She approached him calmly, bowing her head and placing joined hands on her lap.
"Excuse me, sensei. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, can I ask for supervision of my training as well?" she asked Mr. Kalo in a soft, typical to her courteous manner. "I did not plan on using my quirk, but if it is possible, I'd like to put this opportunity to good use." She suspected, her request would be granted with approval, but it would be just plain impolite to assume that and start training right away. Bibi needed to hear the response before she could put her bag on the side and start warming up. There was a lot she wanted to do - only her stamina and abilities would decide how much of those plans would she have covered - and yet, she couldn't wait to see.

Well it seems that he would be overseeing a young girl named Sekka who he had looked at her file upon looking at her request for a training session. A fellow ice element user huh? This would make training the girl easier that was for sure. Pacing over toward the training area he had already set up some training bots that he had used in his younger years as practice. Sure he did not make them himself but he did know how to program them so they only targeted certain things.
As the girl named Sekka called him sensei, Krahno couldn't help but smile as he had not been called that really. He was a fairly new teacher so this made him feel pretty good. Either way he would nod his head in understanding before speaking. "Oh it is no problem. It is good you are excited for this training session. After looking over your file I have to say I am quite surprised to be overseeing a fellow ice element user." He said with a smile. He was honest about that as he would begin the mock battle mode for now. "The objective is to not get hit by the darts or paintballs. Dodge as best as you can and if you should need to you may use your quirk to fight back." Krahno said as he took out a controller of sorts from his white coat.
"Training bots begin mock battle mode, initiation code is 0982." he said in a small speaker in the robot controller he held. He could set it to manual override if need be but the robots were rather smart enough to figure out a simple initiation code when spoken about it. As he said that the bots' eyes lit up red as if entering a battle mode but they were not loaded with any harmful substances so there was no worries there. The only way the robots could actually hurt anyone is if they used brute force with their metal limbs but with the initiation code he said that would not be an option for them to use.
Still he did have to admit that being a teacher for the newest generation made him rather nostalgic as he was back in UA again but under different circumstances. As he watched the mock battle begin he took notice of Sekka's form, she was dodging pretty well it seemed as she began sprinting away from them. Upon hearing another voice he was approached by another girl who looked familiar. "Ah it's young Watame -san." It was clear from how Krahno talked that the -san addition was not something he was used to saying as it would be very noticeable from his accent that sounded different from that of Japan.
"You wish to train as well? I don't see the harm in it, I say go for it if you feel you can do it." Krahno said as he activated the controller and spoke into it once more. "Mock battle mode pause, new addition to be added." he said into the speaker of the controller as the robots all halted and stopped firing temporally. The robots looked like they were still running but were just awaiting orders.
"Okay then Watame -san feel free to join Fuyuzora -san in to the mock battle." Again his use of -san sounded strained in a way. He was definitely not used to saying it. He honestly preferred using their given names than just the Japanese way of a doing it, Krahno was American born and raised after all. He gestured her toward the track where Sekka was sprinting at, likely stopping after the bots did to let Bibiana join in as well. "Alright all set? Okay. Mock battle re-initialize." he said before the bots would then start up once again. Giving a small time delay before shooting the darts and paintballs in order to let the students get started on their sprinting once again. "Good luck you two, make full use of your surroundings as well. I made sure to put up some props to make it more realistic."
Sure enough Krahno did do that and by props he meant making ice structures out of hardened ice from his own quirk. Granted they wouldn't be that strong to act as cover in a real battle but they would definitely set the scene, also despite being of ice they were not as slippery either. Right now the Durability of his structures were Rank F. He plans to train on his own a little more when he gets the chance to improve that himself. Still some durability was better than none at all and since the bots used mock weapons these structures of ice he made won't go down at all, making the perfect cover in a mock battle. The different ice structures were made to look like collapsed buildings and debris but he also added stairs and different additions to the track such as fences and realistic looking obstacles made from the ice that would for sure give them some understanding on how to properly use their surroundings in battle.
Soon enough the robots started launching paintballs and darts at the two with differing fire rates, some like machine guns and others like rocket launchers. Each differing from each other as they used the darts and paintballs to their full advantage. These robots were set to pursue them in their current mode as well so the two students would need to use their surroundings as planned too. He hoped that this would be a good training session, goodness knows he used a lot of his own quirk setting it up for them.

| ◀ | Cold as ice, soft as snow ❆ It was nice to have Krahno be the one to oversee Sekka's training session. Meeting another person with an ice quirk was always pretty cool (no pun intended). Sekka wished that she could just fight the teacher head on instead of just dealing with obstacles and drones. But alas, this was not that type of training. Plus, Sekka had already felt bad enough taking up the teacher's time. It would probably be too much to ask for more than what she had already requested. Perhaps another time, she could ask him for some special ice training.
As Sekka continued sprinting away from the drones, she kept mental notes on her performance so far. Not bad. Decent reaction time so far, but once the difficulty ramps up, I'm not sure how well I'd be able to keep up. One second slower, and my left shoulder would be dripping with paint. Or blood if this were a real fight. I wish I were more agile. I could have used those walls to kick off from and do some backflips or something to make myself harder to hit. For now, all I can do is run and take cover. I don't even have a staff to fight with.
After a while of barely dodging darts and balls of paint, Sekka stopped moving once she noticed that the drones had stopped firing. Hmm? She then saw the reason why the drones had stopped. Another student had arrived and wanted to train as well. This was fine with Sekka. She had no problem with having another student to work alongside with. If anything, this was a good opportunity for Sekka to see just how well she could work with someone else. After all, she could not expect to always work solo, nor did she really want to in all honesty.
Bibiana... That's her name, right? With how often Sekka's family moved in the past, as well as the fact that Sekka never had a real friend because of that, the girl had never had a real incentive to bother remembering the names of her classmates. It was a bad habit that she wanted to do her best to fix. So Sekka tried her best to remember the names and faces of (almost) all her fellow students here at UA. At least the horns on Bibiana's head made the girl a lot easier for Sekka to remember.
Just before the training would resume, Sekka would look at her classmate with her typical stoic gaze and lack of a smile. Sekka didn't mean to come off as intimidating or cold, but the girl really didn't know how to lower her icy guard around strangers. It was another bad habit of hers that honestly needed some fixing. Maybe someday. "I look forward to working with you and seeing what you can do."
But now it was time to start running again. Sekka made a quick sprint towards the nearest cover she could reach in the shortest amount of time. Which in this case was one of the ice structures provided by Krahno. Sekka was curious to see just how durable these things were. At the moment, they seemed to be holding up quite well. However, Sekka had no intention of spending the entire exercise hiding herself. No, she wanted to think of a plan. Or listen to Bibiana if the girl had any ideas of her own. |

No pain, no gain.
"Thank you, sensei." Bibiana bowed her head to Kalo, leaving the bag beside the wall and walking up to the middle of the room. No use wasting anyone's time by making small talk with the teacher - the best way to show her appreciation for the possibility to train was to give it her all. The hall was indeed impressive. High-tech equipment proved that U.A used everything they could to train future heroes with any means they had. Robot silently hovered above them, waiting for another order, while Bibi scanned her surroundings. Excercise seemed simple, avoid the bots and perhaps, immobilize them. Hmm... That could be done. Her eyes met Sekka's gaze. After listening to a bit reserved, but an overall proper invitation, she gave her a small, honest smile. "My feelings are mutual. I hope I won't disappoint." It would be impolite to ignore her and not answer with anything other than a patient, tranquil tone.
The robots moved, so did the girls. Despite the visible gap in their abilities, Bibiana was holding on to a decent level pretty well. Perhaps it had something to do with a balance and confidence in her footing? As someone who was trained to walk around the house with a book on her head to maintain proper posture, it certainly paid off. Where she was lacking strength and speed, she filled the gaps with stable movements, twirled once or twice gracefully while avoiding the paintballs, evading the darts when swiftly changing direction. She dodged, jumped, leaned, feeling her heart beating stronger inside her chest. This level of physical effort was new to her and Bibi decided to push forward, not wanting to give up too easily. Her face remained calm and seemingly impassive, yet a slight reddish blush, that appeared on the pale cheeks, proved that the level of workout she was facing was bigger than she's used to. Not like she was going to fall behind though.
The covers were interesting. Clear ice was beautiful, creating such a variety of shapes... If only she wasn't in the middle of training, Bibiana would stop to admire that work of art. Instead, she jumped over a collapsed stairs, crouching behind the provisional shield. She took a second to calm the beating of her heart and listen to the quiet hum of electronics around her. The timing was different between present flying bots. Bibi's ears moved, twitching and listening carefully. Darts and paintballs flew into the air with their own speed. Figuring out the pattern wasn't too hard, but trying to act on it was challenging. Especially when she wasn't sure, she could keep up, physically wise - dodging and running were already hard enough. Adding the fight back option could slow down her mobility and endanger her to attack... That's why the girl tried a different approach. Initially, she thought, she might have been able to entangle the propellers of the robots in wool, making them lose their balance and fall... It was a good idea, unfortunately dropping a bigger portion of dense fluff would be a pretty straightforward act. Motion detectors could prove tricky and the distance and then the timing, hmm... No, she should train different ways of taking initiative, looking for opening before trying something risky like that. It was time to train her reflex, aim, and vigilance.
Bibiana took a deep breath. Without a second thought, the skin around her wrists layered itself with a portion of fleece. Those parts of her skin were usually covered with thin, human hair, but she transformed them into offset white patches of fluff, each around an inch wide. With a focused, steady posture, Bibiana lurked around the corner of the ice wall, waiting patiently until one of the robots got close enough to be a test subject. One heartbeat, two heartbeats... Focusing on the timing she judged when would the next dart be fired. Exactly then, she'd aim and raise her arms allowing a patch of wool, around the side of a regular snowball, to shoot into the air. Precision, huh. Bibi was ready to hide behind the wall and run around to another structure if she would miss and the robot would go after her... Wool soundlessly swallowed one of the darts, and with the additional weight, fell to the ground.
Perhaps it was time to start the counterattack.

Okay so these two were doing pretty well right now as they used their surroundings perfectly with the props he made for the mock battle. Sure he took his time making them but he wouldn't just let them go to waste for this training session. The robots had scanned around the area looking for the two girls but as they did it seemed that Bibiana took this opportunity to try to use her quirk to hinder the robot by covering it with her wool, well not really what she may have intended to do because that's what she did to the drone as it struggled to move in the wool covering its joints and getting stuck in the parts so to speak. As he noticed this Krahno took his own initiative and put in a new command code.
"Drone command code set to all-out assault." Krahno would simply say as the drones were now slower in movement but they were much faster with their fire rate and had full access to all the mock weapons they had loaded into their bodies. Darts fired at a faster fire rate and paintballs were launched into the air as if they were rockets from a missile launcher. Upon impact of one of these Paint Rockets they would explode outward like a real missile would but the explosion was made of paint. If any of the paint hit their bodies that would count as out. The darts were fired as if they were like a machine gun that just made things a lot harder for the two girls.
"Remember girls use your surroundings as best as you can but also if the paint or darts hit your body at least three times then you are counted as out. Though this also means only your body and nothing else." Krahno was clearly hinting for them to use their quirks. He wouldn't just let them know all the answers could he? He had to teach them like any good mentor would. If their quirks got hit by the darts and paintballs that wouldn't count toward their three hits. But with the bots now on full assault mode the two girls would definitely have a harder time, to balance this he made the bots slower in movement. Only one bot was still disabled due to the wool that was covering it but it would likely get back up to fight again real soon. Testing both their reaction time and use of their quirks under pressure.
"Actual criminals will likely have similar weapons such as these but they will be the real deal. This will be good practice to get used to how those real weapons work and how to avoid getting hit by them" Krahno said to them as he made the bots chase them even more, he had to test them the right way of course. The bots that fired paint as rockets kept their distances while the dart machine gun users got in closer, it was all relative to a real criminal group that would be consisted of mostly non-quirkers or those with very low power in their quirks. Those that would need these kinds of weapons to properly stay in a fight would be a good example of what these bots were mimicking for this mock battle. The Ice Structures of course did stay up as the fight went on after all too, they had a lot to work with after all and that was the plan really. Krahno hoped that this would provide them both with some great training but also would make for a good workout as well since they will be running around the track quite a bit too. He wasn't Raido of course but he did care about the overall health of the students overall.

| ◀ | Cold as ice, soft as snow ❆ It was a shame that there was no time to admire the sculptures made of ice. They really were incredible. However, Sekka did not wish to waste time hiding behind them forever. She knew that she would need to go on the offensive at some point. The only question was when. As she moved, Sekka would notice her partner's quirk in action. If Bibiana had been worried about her quirk disappointing, then she would be pleased to know that Sekka thought quite the opposite. "Nice one." Sekka attempted to smile encouragingly, but her face just could not manage to look anything but neutral and impassive. That, and it was hard to smile when running away from attacking robots.
Sekka didn't plan on running forever, though. Just like her partner, Sekka too would activate her quirk. Three ice crystals would form on her body, opening up like flowers and releasing cold air and energy. Upon releasing enough, the crystals would shatter, but the mix of energy and cold air would condense, morph, and become coated in a thick layer of ice. Soon, Sekka would be surrounded by what was quickly becoming a winged dragon of ice. Its brilliant red eyes would gaze at the girls. To anyone looking at Hiryu for the first time, the sight could certainly be quite stunning and breathtaking. The dragon would speak in a soft and gentle voice. It was hard to tell whether the voice sounded more feminine or masculine. It was somewhere in the middle.
"You called for me, Sekka?"
Without taking her eyes off of the advancing robots, Sekka would speak tersely. "We're in training, Hiryu. Right now, those drones are our enemy. Don't let their attacks touch us." The ice dragon nodded. "Understood." With a roar that could be described as both majestic and intimidating, Hiryu would fly in front of both girls, acting as their shield. It would then target the closest drone and let loose a stream of energy and ice from its mouth. An ice beam. It was fortunate that the ice dragon could control just how cold its immediate area was, so that Bibiana wouldn't have to shiver much. But as for the robot? It would not get that same luxury.
It wouldn't matter too much whether the ice beam struck its target or not. It was aimed rather low, so if the ice beam did miss, it would strike the floor directly in front of the robot, creating a small but quickly growing wall of ice. It wasn't a permanent solution, but if that robot tried to fire, the ice wall could take at least one hit and provide the girls with more cover. Of course, if the ice beam did hit the drone, then it was likely to be too frozen to be able to immediately attack or do much of anything right away.
Either way, Hiryu had bought the girls time. Now to decide whether to use that time to go on the offensive, or to find some cover to hide behind and safely pan out a plan of attack. Sekka looked over to Bibiana, the tiniest hint of a smile on her face, though it would be very difficult to notice. "Hey, you've ever ridden on the back of a dragon before? Would you like to?" It was certainly an option. Given that Hiryu was careful enough, it could easily let the two girls climb on its back and fly them over to a different area of the course. Very handy for quickly escaping the approaching robots, or relocating to try and ambush them. Of course, it was fine to not take to the air right away. Whatever plan Bibiana wished to go with, Sekka would do her best to ensure that that plan succeeded. |

The training took a rather different way than Bibiana initially thought. Nothing wrong with it. She needed to adjust - it wasn't a casual afternoon at a nice gym, but combat-oriented exercises engaging everything they had. So the only logical approach was to give her all, and of course, the girl did not want to hold back, and someone saw it. A soft, fleeing smile bloomed with appreciation on her lips, while she nodded thanking Sekka for her frugal, but an honest compliment. As someone who never had contact with anything related to "hero work", any reassurance that she's on a good enough level was very appreciated. Not from vanity, but competence-wise. Hard to train to be a hero without knowing what to do... Possibly she was on a right track.
All-out assault.
That's not something one would like to hear in this situation, right? Brilliant, Bibi thought without a hint of annoyance. At the first minutes of training, she was worried about her level of expertise and capability, but now, she indeed wanted an all-out mock battle. Not in a ruthless way. She saw it as a means to challenge and better herself. Sliding behind another ice structure, Bibiana was expecting something to happen soon. Wool around her neck and ankles grew, forming white rings. Kalo-sensei professionally explained the rules after the difficulty lever rose - if wool, for example, could be an extension of Bibiana, it might have been counted as a hit. But it was not, so she was safe for paintballs and darts even if the gym would be covered with wet, colorful patches of fleece... Good. Even if she won't be able to last long in this now more demanding training, Bibi was still on alert, ready, vigilant. Her posture seemed calm, yet was ready to react even to the slightest of movement, pacing from one ice wall to the other. The girl needed to adjust the rhythm of her steps to the new pattern of flying darts. Vigilance was required, and she needed a quick reaction if she wanted to parry or dodge anything that would come her way. It might take a minute to figure out the right moment to shoot...
Something flew in the air, neither the wool, darts nor paintballs. Ice... Glistening, clear shard morphed in captivating dance. Bibiana gazed to the side, where Sekka decided to show her cards... Summoning a creation that without a doubt was a majestic ice dragon. Despite being made of solid, cold crystals its body moved in a serpent-like, spontaneous and elegant manner. It reminded her of an ice sculpture brought to life by magic... No time for admiration, no. Bibiana closed the distance between herself and her black-haired classmate, at the same time looking at the approaching robots. Suddenly wool shot behind Sekka's back, entangling yet another drone. Not completely, only propellers on one side, but it visibly slowed down the machine. The fan-like part was now covered by dense fluff, losing its balance, the drone swayed down gradually, still firing darts even during its downfall. Soon after Hiryu decided to add some freezing finishing touches, Bibiana realized they might be onto something... Wool entangled the drones, slowing them just enough and covering their motion sensors, so the ice walls of Hiryu could be more effective.
"Weapons that are used against heroes are usually crafted to resist various ailments, elements, and wrapping materials included," After hearing Sekka's proposition, Bibi started brainstorming. Flying... It was tempting. Bibiana glanced to the roof - the training hall was enormous, and the ice dragon was just the right size to be able to carry two people and with extra care safely move around closed space. For now, Hiryu taking care of approaching drones, while the girls had some spare seconds to come up with the plan. "Ice or wool, it might be too little to immobilize the drones for longer... It's possible that joining our quirks could give the best results. It will take few more seconds, but I can make very thick wool, that upon being frozen would work as an ice grout." As she was saying this, the fluff on her wrist lost its volume, the texture of hair became more compact, heavy. She kept her arms raised, joining her hands together like a very pensive individual, at the same time having a serious case of brainstorm."The structure of fleece would behave like a thermostat, and enhanced with ice crystals, its weight, density, and property to keep low temperature would highly increase. If you have no objections, then..." Bibiana looked at the Hiryu, with a very tiny, almost invisible spark in her eyes. "Would you mind if I ask, if the ride is still available..?"
