APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
POSITIVE
Personality:
Osamu is a well-built young man with a lean, but not scrawny frame that belies how hard he's trained his body. He is at about averge height, and for the most part, looks simply unremarkable in his body type and shape.
His wavy brown hair is well-groomed and cared for, his long fringe and the various flicks in his hair that appear to be unkempt all being meticulously prepared ahead of time. This is reflected in almost every aspect of Osamu's appearance, as he is incredibly well-groomed, dressed and takes part in a constant schedule of self-care. He appears healthy, clean and well-cared for.
Most often, Osamu's dress is muted except for one article, like a shirt as part of a suit or a logo on a t-shirt, which is more of a bright and friendly colour. Pink and shades of it are often seen as one of the colours he has a habit of wearing the most.

Personality:
Osamu, despite his upbringing around creative and loud people, is always struggling to express himself. He often likes to think carefully about what he says before saying anything, hating rushing into a situation unprepared if he can help it. Due to this, he tends to over-prepare for everything, meticulously planning out anything and everything he can and sticking to it, from his daily schedule to exactly how many calories he should intake.
Thanks to this, much of his creativity has been kept private, but he continually practices it, using creative outlets to let off stress and to explore different parts of his imagination that he pushed down as a youth. In order to try and socialise, he often uses bits and pieces of what he's created to try and make friends - being able to create worlds for tabletop games or simply asking people for plot advice tends to please him, if only because people notice and speak with him.
Despite his seemingly socially awkward exterior and struggles to understand people, Osamu has an incredibly strong idea of justice, and more importantly, right and wrong. Once he has decided upon something being correct or justifiable, he is loathe to compromise on it unless there are differing circumstances. He is a strong believer in the idea that right is right, and that there are no excuses for doing wrong, unless it serves a greater right in of itself.
HISTORY
Born in Osaka as the third child and second son to Daichi and Emica Kurokawa, Osamu immediately was different from his siblings. Whereas they had been loud and boisterous children, he was quiet from the very start of his life. At first, his parents worried something was wrong with him, before being eventually convinced that he would grow out of it. Once he was old enough to talk, he learned quickly, and it wasn't difficult to pick up a lot in their house. His parents, both of them popular singers and his energetic and expressive siblings made sure that he picked things up fast.
Osamu changed once he started going to school, staying quiet there and soon, just as much in the house. His parents, assuming something was wrong, complained to the school, believing them to be responsible. He made the habit of not sharing anything about his family, hating the attention and questions that were all about his popular parents, making him feel like a simple extension of them. It was difficult, as his parents had him moved from school to school, insisting that the system was failing their son, believing that he had the same bright soul as the rest of his family, but that they were pushing it down.
As he continued to grow, and approached his tenth birthday, Osamu decided to share with his parents why he acted as he did. That he was this way on purpose, that he just didn't like people looking at him, asking about them all the time. That he was okay without the expensive birthday gifts. Though they seemed to take it fine at first, Daichi and Emica began to feel like their son resented them, was ungrateful for what they provided, and didn't seem to get how privileged he was. The feeling spread to his siblings, who felt like he didn't like them, ignored them, and was always in his room, trying to drown out their singing practice.
When Osamu's quirk appeared, his parents had been hoping it would change things. With Daichi being able to amplify sound while Emica could make her own singing stand out in people's hearing, they were sure that whatever quirk he had would bring him back to normalcy, and that they would have the son that they'd wanted. Instead, when his quirk came about, it was the exact opposite. Osamu could make himself entirely quiet, making himself even harder to notice, and worse still, could just turn off the sound of someone else, allowing him to end some of his sibling's arguments before they even started.
The divide between the boy and his family grew, with his parents now beginning to believe that their boy had ungratefully rejected them in every way, and wasn't planning on changing. The resentment they believed he held was now mutual, as the two convinced themselves that the boy was simply a problem child with a bad attitude, and maybe he needed to see some of the world and understand how bad it was. They were unaware that for years, he had been watching online videos of vigilantes and villains, fascinated with what they did. How they could accomplish great things under a mask or a cool codename, and how much they impacted others, without sometimes being noticed at all.
Not wanting to have their name be dragged through the mud, Daichi and Emica decided they couldn't simply kick their son out. Instead, they made him a deal - that they would pay for whatever school he liked, as long as he could qualify and that he picked somewhere that took him away from the house, and hopefully never back. Though he'd gotten used to showing a strong face in front of their anger, this tirade hurt him the most. Deciding that he would pursue something he wanted, perhaps in as much defiance of them as fulfilling his own needs, he chose UA, knowing that he could never really go back.
