Location? The Saikyuen building. The objective? Rescue volunteer civilians. The Participants? Kirk Bluster, Jasmine Noir, and Yumi Tasukai. This would be the stage in which to test those three young heroes in the making. While in usual circumstances the students would be inside the building waiting for their turn to complete their assignments for the exam this section was going to be different. For this part of the exam, the three students would be forced outside of the building to prep for the rescue part of the exam. They would be separated from the other examines for this special section of the exam. The others, those who already did their exam and those who haven't we're left to sit in the stands to watch the exam unfold. Each student was given an envelope with a set time on it in which to open. Open at **:** The words were in bright red ink and almost glittered on the parchment used to incase the letter. A wax seal that wouldn't allow itself to be removed till the designed time adorned the back of the envelope. It was a beautiful day out today as the sun was shining and a few birds could be seen flying by as the students waited. They could hear the sounds of crumbling and construction from the doors of the exam area as the stage was being built for their exam. One could question what would be involved in their exam. If one of the students tried to open the doors they would find they had been locked from the inside and reinforced to make it impossible to get inside. Secrets had to be kept secret after all. Once the time had been passed and the examines were allowed to open their envelopes they would find just a single line of instructions for them to follow. Three doors each for a single participant, only when a hand upon each handle is present will the exam officially begin. The letter was vague and felt like it was almost teasing the students. What was this even supposed to be about? That would be up to the students. Information wasn't always available in rescue operations and this is what they would have to remember when they get their licenses. Every step would be a lesson and each of them would have to learn this if they wanted to be the best heroes they could be. After all the world would be looking at them so being able to assess a situation and make decisions in a split second would be critical. The three doors in which the instructions were directed towards were all right in front of them each adorned with a symbol for a hint at what was involved. If anyone was looking at the doors to the building previously they would be confused as to how the doors appeared when they were just looking at it. The reason? A quirk of one of the prep team's. On the door to the left was the outline of a castle with spires that were falling apart, the door to the right held the outline of a heart split in two, while the door in the center held what looked like a track jutting up into the sky. Each door would give a vital clue as to what would be happening behind it and the students would need to make a choice. As each student would approach a door they would have their unique smells emitting from them. The heart would smell of chlorine, the rails would smell of gasoline, and the castle would reek of mold. A choice would need to be made for them to advance. Would the students be able to pick the most optimal choice for their talents or would they go with their gut instincts? This was up to them as the choices made from now on would determine their fate.

Stoic. Calm. Composed. Quiet. Despite this day being what she had been working for over the better part of the last ten years the girl didn't have any kind of overemphasized sense of accomplishment beseeching her to get what was otherwise quite the monumental feat done. Because of her shaky upbringing and the need to fight back against a system that wanted to put her down Jasmine had turned to vigilantism quite early in her years. There was no Pro Hero system to push her forward back then. Regardless of the fact that all she wanted to do was help people she always had to deal with the authorities. Always. Even when she first entered U.A. through means that she'd rather not mention she still had to deal with a range of rules this establishment imposed on every up and coming Hero. She found ways to circumvent them to do what she needed to do, of course, yet more often than not that still got her into a heap of trouble time and time again.
Today was one of the few days after which all of that would change, and yet Jasmine felt oddly calm. She didn't have no heroic speech, no grand entrance. Not even so much as a shred of excitement. Part of her wanted to pin that on the confidence the girl had in her own abilities... yet she knew that wasn't the root cause of her feeling so detached. Because of the current state of affairs in the world at large Jasmine was already plunged into the Hero world far too many times to count. What should've otherwise been an exciting occasion meant for the girl to showcase her skills as a professional to be had become nothing more than just another thing on her to-do list. A speedbump, if you would... one which, when crossed, would finally release her from all of these unnecessary shakles the school wanted to keep her constrained with because protocol.
Jasmine sighed quietly to herself. Out of all the times she decided to criticize the school she never would've imagined she'd be doing that on one of her last days as a student. Don't misunderstand her, though; Jasmine didn't hate the school -- it was quite the opposite, actually. Yes, U.A.'s inability to gauge individual talent and its incessant and borderline obssessive insistence to stick to dumb, illogical protocol did annoy her something fierce but at the same time it was also what gave her the chance to actually grow as an individual. Expand beyond the one horizon Jasmine's eyes were locked on for the majority of her life. She now had a stable job at the police department and a side-gig at a mechanic's garage. She was able to turn her hobby into an actual career and was signed by a record label. Hell, after leaving once and coming back Jasmine found herself an older sisted and even an actual honest to God girlfriend, something she didn't think she'd have again after what had happened with Rin.
So... all in all? A part of Jasmine couldn't help but wonder if it was because of something like this that U.A. had the rules that it did to begin with.
"I guess you do actually start to miss something once you're about to lose or move on from it, huh..." the black and gold haired third year muttered to herself under her breath, a soft smile playing at her lips.
Friendship.
Love.
Family.
Home.
The four words that Jasmine had never known were laid bare before her during the last three years... all exacerbated by the fact that she found, lost, and then found them all over again, almost as though life was teaching her the importance of it all. Despite being legitimately unable to count how many times she had wanted to end it all she couldn't help but feel thankful. For a great many things. While the Jasmine from years past found her strength in the fact that she had nothing to lose, the Jasmine of today drew strength from what she had that she now needed to protect.
Fat load a good that strength's gonna give ya if yer gonna let yerself be distracted before the exam, kiddo... Jasmine could almost hear Nathan's voice in her head, picturing his beady metallic eyes and that cheeky little grin he'd always have on his face. She couldn't even let herself realize how much she missed him before her mind agreed with that imaginary picture of him that she had in her head. Jasmine heaved a breath and raised her head. As bright azures focused on the Saikyuen building before her Jasmine fully decided to shift her attention to the one thing that mattered in the here and now.
Getting the job done.
Jasmine read the contents of the envelope when it was time, her brow furrowing in thought. She didn't need her enhanced senses to pick up on the strong scents radiating from the three marked doors in front of her. Gasoline. Chlorine. Mold. The fact that Jasmine knew who she was paired with couldn't help but make the girl wonder if this exam was rigged to slow her down specifically. While it would be no walk in the park for any of the three of them, all three of these scents could spell disaster for the musician if she decided to misuse her quirk.
Many thoughts ran through Jasmine's mind, ones that would have worried her quite a bit if it wasn't for the knowledge of who exactly she was in a group with. Yumi and Kirk. The three of them made up what was arguably U.A.'s top three strength-wise. Likely even popularity-wise if you consider the fact that quite a few of the 'Top 10' decided to drop out of school. But regardless, she knew that she could trust them. Yumi's crux would undoubtedly be the Chlorine. With how speedy the redhead was Jasmine wouldn't be surprised if she picked the door with the rail. Kirk, despite being loud as all hell, wasn't a moron either. Jasmine reckoned he'd realize that very same thing.
Her own choice was then made obvious.
She pushed her hand against the handle of the door on the left, emblazoned with a castle with crumbling spires.
"Time to become heroes."

Yumi didn’t know what to think really. This almost felt like it wasn’t happening, or rather, shouldn’t be happening so soon. While Yumi was surrounded by a lot of intense people, even when she’d dedicated herself to being a hero she always knew she was far from the most eager to get into the field. She had apprehensions about it and… on some level she much preferred the idea of being a teacher. One of the first formally educated heroes teaching the generations that followed? Sounded pretty nice. Sounded like it had a lot less risk…
But, here she was all the same, arguably the final day of her time at this school, officially speaking. Even if she failed she didn’t think they had a re-test system in place or anything like that and… no. No good thinking about that, it wasn’t an option anyway. Even if she failed this rescue portion of the exam she doubted heavily that disaster relief and take down would be at all difficult for her to pass on but… rescue? That’s where she had to be careful. She’d gotten a lot of control over her quirk over the years, but touching someone directly while her quirk was active was still a risk. If she wanted to carry someone she’d either need super focused control of her quirk… or need to abandon her quirk entirely for a moment. Today was gonna be a test of which she went with on instinct, and if she could even manage the former to begin with.
The time finally came to open their envelopes, and Yumi… honestly wasn’t surprised. This place seemed pretty eccentric and just telling them to head to some doors didn’t seem all that obtuse by comparison. When she came to the location it seemed she’d be working with Kirk and Jaz. Jaz she could definitely rely on if any of this required teamwork, something she knew both in and out of the classroom. Kirk? Same deal honestly, they didn’t hang out much outside of class but that was more Yumi’s fault with how busy her schedule was, they’d had a rough bump somewhere down the road, but Kirk was always someone she felt she could rely on.
Briefly, before she picked her door. She’d hook her arms around each of them from behind in a quick squeeze of a hug. “Best of luck you two. I’m sure we have this in the bag.~”
With some examination of the doors between them, Yumi’s smell of chlorine reminded her too much of swimming pools to be safe. While she was sure there were other dangers based on the gas itself it made her think too much of water and how they may be doing some sort of aquatic based rescue situation. The smell of gasoline was worrisome with her sparks, but if it was rails, it might mean there’s a lot of metal to work with which she could lift with her quirk, or a speeding train she needed to keep up with.. that seemed like her best bet.
Leaving Kirk with the final door, she gave them each a warm smile as she placed her hand on her pad. “Best of luck guys.”

There was a surprising silence in the room. With Kirk usually being bolsterous and loud, for once, he was not saying anything. He was quietly stretching his legs, doing push-ups, side to sides, squats... The whole repertoire of things. Maybe a little bit excessive for just a simple warm-up. It certainly showed that Kirk had quite a lot on his mind, that he momentarily was trying to distract himself from.
This exam was pretty much what he had wanted. Whether it was disaster or a rescue, it was something that would certainly need someone who could make a huge impact. Someone to encourage them to hold on for a little longer, and a chance for that one person to stand out like a beacon of hope. All he had to do, was wait for their chance to take the letter. And looking at the duo he was waiting for it with, it was pretty clear they were cream of the crop.
Jasmine since the start had always been a bit of a renegade, an overpowering force that he hadn't been able to match. And he wasn't sure if a rematch would be possible after graduation. Well, all he needed to do was probably ask for it later. And in case of Yumi, well... as former class 1-C members both, he certainly felt a bit more of a connection with her. A lot had happened since the first meeting at a field, where she had decided to pretty much shock grenade the whole class. Both had been beaten and bruised, both mentally and physically, but in true 1-C spirit, they had kept standing up, and doing what they were good at as loudly as a train car ready to smash into a wall. It was almost ironic that all of these explosive and loud attention-seeking personalities had gone into rescue duty, the one probably needing the most delicate handling of all.
On the other hand, it told perhaps how much each of them had grown. It was almost like 3 kids neck and neck seeing which one of them had grown the most on the three year journey. Guess it was time to stick your tongue out for that final stretch!
As the time of waiting ended, the letter was opened. Kirk hopped up a little later, gave his face couple of gentle slaps, and loudly grunted! That wake up call to action! Reading the letter, the task was pretty much clear. Choose a door, and try your best. Nothing else to it! and heck, the elements of the things seemingly pointed them in clear directions. In the case of Kirk... Heart and a smell of chlorine. It needed someone with a bunch of heart, and with chlorine often used in water, with Yumis quirk being electricity and jaz's explosions, it was clear Kirk would need to get in there. Luckily, he was not a stranger to swimming if that was going to be the case.
With the sudden from behind, Kirks tension got alleviated a little, as he gave a bit of a shoulder bump towards Yumi. "Well, taking that I literally HAVE a bag... I think you're right!" A bit of nonsense definitely would make this thing much more palatable! Sadly, Jaz didn't really seem to be much of a nonsense lass, so with them all ready to go, and geared up, Kirk lifted his hand up to grab their attention. "Hey uh, back home, there was always this little thing before big matches like these!" He put his hand forward, visibly inviting the others to put it there too. "Just repeat after me!"
With that he shook the hands up and down while chanting. "EY, EY, EY! FOR, U, A!" Hoping the others joined in the second round, he would finish off by thrusting his fingers towards the sky in a peace pose!
"EY, EY, EY! FOR, U, A!"
With that, he nodded with a wide smile, and proceeded to rush towards the door, like a football player entering the field. With all his tools on hand, he was as prepared as he ever could be. At this point, he could just hope it was all for the best!

Despite being outside of the arena without many people present you all couldn't help feel like you were being watched. Someone was keeping track of you to make sure you followed the rules of the game, but there was no malicious intent coming from this person. Simply a scout if one will. As you all approached the doors and placed your hands on the handles you heard the sound of metallic gears spinning and the buzzing of electronics. A small warmth came into your hands as a censor scanned your hands to file your biometrics to ensure your choice was locked in. After a few short seconds the door would open up and a blinding light would ensnare your senses and would only dissipate till you walked into the room. Jaz:As the light finished obscuring your senses you found yourself in a dark and dingy room. Furniture overturned and holes and dust infested the room in an almost overwhelming manner. The smell you smelt earlier was much more poignant now to the point of almost being gag-worthy. Other than the awful smell and state of the room it looked fine and normal for an abandoned room. That was until you heard a scream in the distance and soon after you would hear cries for help from various vocal ranges of people. Your objective was set. You needed to help these people from whatever danger they may be in. As your eyes would adjust to the new environment lightening you would see a doorway in front of you. The double doors were missing with their hinges still in place to where you could see inside the next room. It was a ballroom in size and through it was in disrepair you could tell it was once an elegant and beautiful room. The screams and cries seem to come from this room you could even make out two bodies in the distance. One male was stuck underneath a glass chandelier and another male was trapped under what looked like balcony debris. You would soon realize though as soon as you took your first step forward the room would creak dangerously and the sound of snapping wood would reverberate in your ears. This place was falling apart slowly and you needed to make sure everyone was out and safe before the whole building collapsed. When you made it into the room you were able to get a full feel of the damage that was done. The ballroom looked so trashed a filled with debris it felt like a junkyard. "Help me!" a man would scream seeing your presence alerting everyone else in the room. All the other civilians in the room would turn to you, those that could at least, and begin asking for your assistance. You could make out about ten people were in the area even if you couldn't see them all. You will have to be a quirk to save them all. Yumi:As the bright light faded and you walked into your door you would find yourself surprisingly in the area of the exam. You could see the sky and even the people who were watching in the stands. It was certainly unexpected, but once you looked around some more you saw two giant rooms nearby that you couldn't see into. One painted dark green and the other painted pink. These were the other doors that you didn't pick and would hose the other two participants. On the opposite side of you though you could make out a structure that was a bit unexpected. A roller coaster graced your presence or at least the remains of one. The coaster seemed to have crashed and fallen apart creating an avalanche of wood, but something was off about the wood. It was stained dark as if there was a liquid coating the pile. It smelled of gasoline. Upon closer inspection of the pile, you would notice a train of the coaster was lodged into the debris pile and a few bodies inside too. They weren't moving nor were they making any sounds. Was it too late to save them? There was only one way to find out. Before you could even take a step forward though to inspect the pile a voice called out to you from behind the pile, "Hey kid! Back away from the civilians or else they will go up in flames!" After speaking a man would appear from behind the wooden debris and make his presence known. "You want to save them you have to get through me first," he would say with an evil smirk on his face. It was a challenge and he wanted a fight. You would need to defeat him before getting to the victims. Kirk:As the light would leave your senses you would find yourself in a dark room on a platform overlooking what looked like a room filled with water. Boats in the shape of hearts would litter the area in different positions of rest, but on top of them you could make out a few people screaming for help. Soon you would realize their predicament. Neon lights had begun wigging out and sending sparks of electricity, along with wires, into the pool of water creating a barrier from which they couldn't escape from. You could make out ten people in total on the boats. The closest one holding two women who held each other closely. Your objective was clear. To save the people trapped and get them to safety without any harm coming to them.

Her focus was through the roof.
So much so that Jasmine had even forgotten that she wasn't alone. The second she felt Yumi's arm hook around her the girl froze for the briefest of moments, her eyes widening a tad in slight surprise before softening. Jasmine's own hand quickly found Yumi's before she responded with a gentle squeeze of her own, offering the girl a small yet warm smile all the while. When Kirk chimed in the two-toned lass couldn't really help she short snort that left her. She rolled her eyes playfully before staring him down, "Hope you got more tools in that bag of yours than you did when we fought," she quipped, her smile quickly turning smug at the memory.
Just as they were about to head out to their designated positions the two girls were stopped by Kirk's voice once more. Glancing at him with mild curiosity, Jasmine once again couldn't stop herself from smiling. While normally she'd be the last one to participate in these so-called 'team spirit' charades, this time the thought of what the hell, why not? crossed her mind. This was quite the monumental event for all three of them, even if it hadn't quite sunken in for her yet.
Jasmine reached out her hand and placed it atop of Kirk's, snickering to herself quietly at the chant. "Ey! Ey! Ey! For, U, A!" Her voice joined in on the chant, quite a few decibels quieted than Kirk's, yet still loud enough to mix in quite well.
"You two take care, you hear me?" Jasmine finally said as she turned and glanced back at them over her shoulder. "I better see you on the other side." The words were as much a challenge as they were meant to be encouraging. They were strong -- if that much wasn't obvious from just looking at them, Jasmine had a whole three years that she spent with them to look back at. Well, technically two considering she was out of commission for her second year, but that didn't matter much in the grand scheme of things.
Not one to give in to sentiment too heavily Jasmine was the first to go, entering through her self-designated doorway without a shred of hesitation. Jasmine had to shield her eyes from the blinding light that immediately invaded her peripherals but luckily for her it was gone just as abruptly as it came. She grunted quietly as she rubbed her eyes to get some of the fog out, her enhanced senses working a little against her.
Speaking of enhanced senses... that smell? Oh yeah. She definitely gagged.
"Ugh..." Jasmine gargled out as she covered her mouth and nose with a hand, momentarily hunching over forwards while mentally swearing at anything and everything. The absolute reek of the place was a nightmare on her incredibly sensitive nostrils, so much so that she felt her head begin to spin. The girl forced her eyes closed and shook her head, trying to get the kinks out as best she could, all while trying to take stock of whatever location this was supposed to be. That is, until she heard it.
The scream.
Every single one of Jasmine's instincts dialed themselves up to a hundred, her azure pupils dilating much alike a feline during a hunt. The cogs in Jasmine's mind turned effortlessly, processing all of the information she had available. While her nose was struggling with the stench permeating the air Jasmine's ears were able to pick out the voices crying out for help. Nine- no, ten separate voices, all different in pitch and volume, some more ragged than others. She could discern a general location for each person that she needed to account for.
Her objective was indeed set. It was time to work.
Jasmine's feet almost sunk into the creaking floorboards as she entered the large, decrepit ballroom. One singular look at the place told her all she needed to know -- she'd need to act fast if she wanted to be able to pass this test- or rather, save these people. The idea for tests had passed a long time ago. As far as she was concerned this was a live situation that she needed to somehow defuse.
"Everybody stay calm!" Jasmine asked- no, ordered as she steeled herself. Energies begun swirling around her as the commanding words left her lips, her quirk making it seem like blue electricity encompassed her frame as she tapped into Phase Rush. "Do not move. You'll be out of here before you know it."
Easier said than done, though. How the hell was she supposed to get everyone out without the roof crashing down and crushing them?
Analysis. Planning. A split second decision. Courses of action came to her mind at borderline inhuman rates. As a result of her enhanced senses Jasmine was able picture a map of the area inside of her mind and pinpoint where every single victim was with surgical precision. With this information in mind she was able to come up with a 'path' of sorts that she could take in an attempt to get every single person out through one swift motion, without stopping. It was impossible to be 100% certain if it'd work with how little she knew about the structural integrity of the place -- well, barring the fact that everything was already falling apart - but she'd have to chance it.
Jasmine braced herself, her legs spreading and center of gravity lowering. She took in a long, drawn out breath before exhaling it lowly. Everything darkened around her as her senses peaked, time and the world around her seemingly slowing down as her perception sharpened. Three. Two. One.
Yaksha launched herself forward at her maximum speed and headed straight for the chandelier. If her guess was correct based on how the floorboards cracked beneath her feet the damn thing would break the floor apart before she had the chance to get everybody out. Her first priority was to get the man from beneath it out and she did just that. Taking hold of the chandelier with one hand, Jasmine roared as she flung it back into the entrance that she came out of with all of her might, watching as it crashed into the corridor with a loud thud.
She turned to the man and extended her hand to help him up, "Can you stand?"

The final quip from Jasmine, had quirk lifting his hand and an index finger, almost like trying to object... But soon lowered it with a chuckle. "Man, keep those taunts coming, they FUEL the determination of the team!" In the end, it felt like Darren truly was here in spirit, giving that one final push. And heck, that just meant the competitive edge was still there. Just the fact that she took part in the cheer had made Kirks warm-up properly energizing!
And with that, he entered a big dark room. He could hear the sloshing, the flashing lights and the wires from them in the water. Finally, he could see his first targets of rescue: two girls in a small boat, hugging each other tightly. The pieces started locking together in his head. "Well, looks like this'll take quite a while!" He scruffed his head with his hand, looked around, and took a brief breath. It was time for the debut! The one Kirk had been training for for ages!
"No need to worry no more! Supeeeeeeer SLUGGER IS HERE! Just stay in your boats, and wait till I come along!"
And with that first introduction out of the way, the echo of it bouncing around the walls, and most likely letting everyone know a hero was on the case, Kirk reached out to the closest boat to him, and carefully placed himself into it. There was a bit too much carefulness probably, but he wasn't exactly sure how much weight these boats could handle, and if they were connected into something from the bottom. "Pardon me, I assume you dudettes wanted some alone time being in here but...!" His hand reached out to one of the grips sticking out of his pouch. With one long pull, like a sword from a sheath, a carbon fiber hockey stick emerged. "I feel like the important thing here is to just get to safety!" In a simple motion, he stuck it down into the water, poking about, seeing what was underneath the vessel. Heck, he even tried to see if he could propel the boat forward with simple rowing motions.
"I gotta admit, I've never been to Venice, so I can't exactly sing but... atleast I can try to move the boat forward!" However, what he knew, was that trying to keep morale high for folks was important whatever the case. He looked at the girls and shrugged. "Alright, since I just sort of arrived, I would like a situation update. You dudettes know what's happened here?" Of course, they were civilians, but when there weren't really other informers, that would do. Besides, if he got the boat moving, he could probably get to another boat and see about things.
...Although, there was a bit of paranoia in his head. He would need to eventually check the other direction for the other people. Either that, or get the system working again... but he was never the smartest with gadgets. Maybe he could rope the boats together and try to pull them like this outside? But he would need rope for something like that. He was deeply thoughtful...

Post by Yumi Tasukai on Mar 15, 2021 15:23:53 GMT -4
Yumi pulled her face back a little as the door opened, the warmth in her hand from the canner almost feeling ominous but… well, she was in the deep end now so to speak. As the light seemed to fade out a bit and Yumi took a few steps forward, her amber eyes drew wide as she took in what was around her. She knew the saikyuen building could create some really detailed environments but she could almost swear they seemed to have taken the roof off for this one. She took a long, slow breathe, nerves filling her as the scale of her own test started to dawn on her, the two rooms that housed her friends not truly registering in that same instance.
“Right…” She muttered under her breath, just trying to process all the information, her quirk charging up as blue sparks flowed across her skin and she lowered her stance, ready to take action. As far as she could tell this was a rollercoaster crash she had to work with, but the tricky part was the gasoline. It was going to be a huge issue in fact, far moreso than she’d originally hoped. The main wreckage of the whole thing seemed to be in the center of a huge pile of wood and gasoline. If even one of her sparks hit that thing? Phwoomf. Bye bye civilians. Her legs were a little shaky at that prospect. Her sparks were usually harmless but she couldn’t fly without something touching a nearby surface. Would her sparks that kept her afloat be enough to ignite gasoline? P-probably…
And as if her mind wasn’t already racing there, a rock felt like it hit the pit of her stomache when she realized she had also managed to be the one going up against the Exam head, trying to position himself between her and the civilians she needed to rescue. Another factor to consider. Was the taunting part of the test? Would she need to beat him? Could she work around him? All things she’d have to consider but for now she just needed to at least take some form of action rather than sitting around here like a lemon.
“Yeah… whatever you say mate…”
Still a good distance away from the wreckage, Yumi let her sparks burst out around her body behind her, forcing her off from the ground like a rocket. She shot a few sparks ahead of her, dragging herself along the trails she made at high speed, but unlike usual where she’d constantly have an arc of energy touching the ground to keep her aloft, she tried hard to resist the urge to do that should she even come close to touching any of the soaked wood. It meant the arc of her flight was rapidly coming down but she’d have to account for that as the issues came. The soaked wood was right behind this guy so she couldn’t let off a volley at him incase she missed either. With tight control, she brought two of her ‘lightning rod’ gadgets off her utility belt, holding them tight as she came in hard and fast, getting a good shot.
Tossing her arms out, the two lightning rods, powered by her quirk blasting behind them, seemed to miss by a good distance on either side, the rods sinking into the ground from the force a good few inches and cracking the concrete beneath them. Yumi fired off a shot at the one on the left, the lightning rod focusing the blast and bringing her to it at a rapid pace, skidding to a halt beside it, and aiming an open palm at the ‘vllain’, wanting to test what he was capable of, what his quirk may be so she could consider how to best work around him. The lightning rod on the opposite side of him now focused her blast, meaning even if he dodged, it’d harmlessly hit the metal rod in the ground rather than the soaked wood around them.

Jaz:Your cry to the people in the room resonated with them as it echoed across the room. Bats would be awakened from their sleep in dark corners of the room and fly around the room trying to find an exit only to leave the way you came. Some of the civilians cry out asking for help each now visible to their traps. A woman buried under a grand piano, two kids collapsed on the ground, another woman coughing out a lung, a couple stuck in a giant web, and two elderly sitting in a corner unable to get up. Overall the area is looking grimmer and grimmer and as you take a step forward you can feel the world slowly deteriorate around you. As you reached the chandelier you notice it's got a unique design. Each candle being held by some ornate statue in a weird Gothic style. They looked almost liked hooded monks with long sleeves and a face covered with a slender build. Lighting the chandelier it feels lighter than you would have expected it to feel despite its intricate design. It goes crashing as your throw it revealing the man who was buried underneath it. He was clutching a book close to his chest as if it meant the world to him. When you extended your hand to him you saw a sharp glare come from his eyes as he responded, "I don't like owing debts." As he said this his eyes began to glow and he began chanting in a language you didn't understand. You begin to hear creaking coming from behind you as the statues from the chandelier begin to stir. Glass soldiers come walking forth some turning their sleeves into glass blades while others were standing in the back slowly creating glass cubes to use as projectiles. There were ten in total with five coming your way and the other fives standing back The man would then grin and comment, "I hope you enjoy playing with my babies." His smile would turn into a smirk to which he would also add, "Would be a shame if something were to happen to the others." He would then leave his position from where he was and find an upturned chair and turn it back over and take a seat. "They don't need my command anymore to do their job so trying to incapacitate me won't do you any good," he would say as he took another book out from his coat pocket. "Good luck," he would finish in a sing-song voice as he opened his book to the bookmarked page and began reading. Yumi:"How dare you mock me, child!" The man would yell at your comment. You could see his brow becoming furrowed and his face twitch in frustration. Easily you could deduce this man had a temper. He was about to take a step forward to attack, but you were faster than him and made the first move instead. Your lighting shot was aimed perfectly. Hitting him and causing him to shake from the electrical shock. "Hgggnnn," he would yell out trying to hold in the pain, but once it subsided a bit of a smirk appeared on his face. "So kitty-kat knows how to bite? This will be fun!" he would taunt towards you as he activated his quirk. Slowly his body would become engulfed in flames. The heat emitting from his body was intense as he began to cackle like a mad man. "Scared of a little fire now? Well, let's see how afraid you really can get!" He would create a fireball in each hand throwing it on towards you while chucking the other off in the distance to his side. The fireball going to the side would hit a puddle of gasoline and erupt into flames. You would then realize this puddle lead to the pile of wooden debris he was protecting. Suddenly this became a timed event for you. You must incapacitate the man and stop the fire before the injured become the deceased. Kirk:As you reached the boat the two girls seemed to have varying personalities despite having somewhat similar attire. The blonde girl would thank you with her heart and praise your heroism while the white-haired girl would simply scowl and be dismissive. The boat would move freely to the platform you were just at with relative ease despite its weight. The blonde girl would laugh at your silly quip while the white-haired one would simply give you the cold shoulder. As you return to the platform the cold shoulder girl gets off and walks into the shadows trying to get away from you while the blonde decides to answer your questions. "We were simply enjoying our date when suddenly the boats just stopped moving. Next thing we knew the electrical wires had been cut and began turning the water into a danger zone." The blond would get closer to you and began asking, "If there's anything I could do to help you all you need to do is ask." She would begin playing with her hair as she said this and batting her eyelashes to you. It was obvious she was hitting on you and the white-haired girl rolled her eyes in disgust. "Don't mind her," the blonde would say dismissing her female compatriot, "She just gets a little green at times." She would giggle about this before continuing, "Maybe you and I could meet up later and have a little fun. Wouldn't that be nice?" This is the straw that broke the white-haired girl's back though as she shouted, "Enough! You always do this! I'm sick and tired of you flirting with other people!" Her figure was shrouded by the shadows she was standing, but even you could figure something was going on. Each heavy breath she took slowly became more ferocious as her height began to extend. Ears protruded from the top of her head and a long billowing tail erupted from behind her. She would then shout, "She's mine!" and lunge at you on the boat and attempt to claw at your face. The blonde girl would be quick to jump onto the boat to try and help you out. She would then try and reel back the other girl, but to no avail, she was much stronger than her. The white-haired girl pushed her aside causing her to be placed to where you were and shouted, "I did so much for you!" The blonde would look at you and plead, "Please I can calm her down I just need your help." She looked you straight in the eyes and began moving closer to you. Her lips began to quiver she was about to kiss you. Would you let her?

"Okay? I don't-" the confused words died in Jasmine's throat the second she saw the glowing glare that was pointedly directed at her. A cold shiver ran down her spine as she felt like something had gone incredibly wrong. The sound of foreign chants filled her eardrums, the lass clicking her tongue with mild annoyance when she realized she must have tripped some kind of trap designed to make things all the more difficult. The creaking of wood alerted her to motion behind her, bright azures quickly catching five approaching bogeys in her peripherals with five more idling behind.
Jasmine scoffed as she glanced back at him, his form seated on a chair. Her azures glared back at him in much the same way the he decided to greet her, an electrifying hue radiating from her irises. She said nothing. All the girl did was glare at him. On the inside, however, was a different story. The energies that Jasmine had collected previously begun to expand and spread across her body, flaming heat practically coursing along her veins, causing a slightly visible stream of steam to escape through the pores of her skin. Within seconds the energies that were swirrling inside of her started to escape their confines, blue crackles of electricity spiraling along her body here and there in all of their splendor. Yaksha was painfully aware of how difficult this test had just become. With so little information available to her she was going in blind. These constructs that were coming at her seemed to be made of glass, yet she couldn't be sure if this black parade lookin' ass, as Jasmine so affectionately dubbed him, didn't change the chandelier's composition to somehow strengthen them. Then there were nine civilians which needed rescue, their conditions anybody's guess. Lastly, structural integrity. Far as she knew the whole place could come crashing down on top of them if she made one wrong move. Jasmine smirked; she loved a challenge. Phase Rush was her key here. She couldn't possibly use her explosions without risking destroying absolutely everything and miserably flunking the test. The girl snorted, mentally patting herself on the back for having spent so much time training this ability. With how many weaknesses her quirk had she knew it'd be necessary at some point -- U.A. apparently had the same idea.
Wordlessly, Jasmine lowered herself to all fours and begun a mental countdown. One. Two. Three. The next sequence of events happened within the span of several seconds. The lass launched herself forward at the five incoming constructs at breakneck speeds, whizzing along the air like a bullet. She extended her arm to the side as she approached the first one, opening up with a lariat strike using her whole bodyweight to smash through the construct's midsection. A small explosion at her feet kept her going, and as she reached the second one a spinning heel kick decapitated its head cleanly off. The third one met a similar fate as an elbow crashed into its torso. The fourth was greeted by what sounded like a gunshot as Jasmine unleashed a singular bullet from her finger gun. The last one? A straight jab directly into its chest. Continuing her momentum, Jasmine whizzed past the other five constructs and immediately made her way towards the civilian she spotted under the rubble of a balcony. "Just give me... one... second..." Jasmine groaned as her hands grasped whatever she could and she started to lift the structure, high enough to give the man some space to crawl out, "C'mon... I can't... hold this forever... Nngh."

A bit of relief. It seemed like neither of them was exactly that spooked or hostile towards him just jumping in in the middle of their date! The blonde one of the duo pretty much gave the most basic information possible, but hey, atleast it meant whoever had done this seemingly wasn't in the immediate vicinity. Of course, if there was a villain, they could perhaps be somewhere else, but for now, it didn't seem too problematic. However, Kirk hadn't expected a certain other reaction: Flirting. "Well, great! Uh... if you don't mind you could like, keep an eye out for other folks that come by here cause uh...!" However, as the girl continued, he noticed the other girl. And she had murder in her eyes.
...But that reaction probably came a little bit late, as the girl proceeded to dive towards him, making the boat tip as he fell into it back first! "OH! OKAY!" Kirk couldn't help but flail, and protect his face from all the slashing. However, as the blonde girl tried to help him, she was thrown right next to him, and some alarms were ringing in his head. 'Okay, if this goes too far, the boat will tip over and we will all get shocked!' He had to stop both of the girls from doing their thing! And as much as the girl was offering to kiss him, he knew that that would probably just end up making the wolfgirl even MORE mad! The problem was, that these were pretty much civilians! He couldn't just beat the wolf up! That was not heroic at all.
But what he could do... was pretty simple and easy with them in such a cramped space like the boat!
As the blonde girl would pucker up for a kiss, Kirks arm would wrap around her waist. She would probably get the wrong impression, but he had to be quick. As the wolf-girl would lunge again, he would straighten his arm outward! "OKAY, GROUP HUG TIME!" He wrapped his bicep around her elbows, locking them downwards, and keeping her from slashing. And as the final maneuver, he extended his back muscles, bouncing himself from the boat, back onto the platform. "Time for a quick talk!"
He placed the two girls back on the platform, and sighed. "Okay, in america we have this term called... sitting in a tree! In that regard, for now, since you gals clearly want to help, I ask that you keep an eye out for what happens here." She pointed at the blonde girl. "You! Memorize everybody who goes by here!" Then she pointed at the wolf girl... who might have been trying to gut him right after being put back down. "Please keep her safe! I know its a bit awkward to ask that, but you probably know the best ways for her to not get hurt!" Delegating tasks, making sure they understood him... it was like trying to coach some people to be ready for future endeavours. "and if something worse happens, shout out for me! I'll be back as soon as possible! For now, I'll look for other victims! You alright with that?" In the end, it was up to them if they would stick in one place however. It was maybe a bit more responsibility than a civilian should have, but it would keep them occupied and from getting into trouble.
...That and it WOULD give them the alone time they came here for! Two birds with one stone. For a little while, as he got into the boat, he looked at them, and made sure they were truely fine. If no issues would arise from them, he would grab the hockey stick again, and proceed forward, to look for others.

Yumi internally congratulated herself on the clean shot but that hardly meant the fight or over. Hero running the exam, their sidekick? Didn't matter, this was an in the field hero she was dealing with with a lot more active experience and, very likely, a quirk or just plain a body that could handle the shit she went through on the rough days of school on a daily basis. A single shot wasn't about to take him down, but it did seem to frazzle him a bit. Maybe he wasn't expecting such a sting.~
Of course, in his retaliation, any priorities Yumi had against him were turned right back to the potential civilians in danger when her eyes focused far more on the second fireball than the first, taking the former to the chest without a guard, but focusing heavily on her recovery. Rather than stumbling back, she let the force of the blow knock her off her feet, electrical tendrels shooting out from her and keeping her afloat as she flowed into a full backflip, scanning her environment quickly for an option.
"Stay there!" She shot another blast his way to keep him busy as she soared up into the air. Her hands reached out and strands of her electrical output reached to a weak looking part of the the roller coaster tracks, electromagnetism put to work as she wrenched a chunk of the tracks away from the rest, and slammed it quickly down into the wooden pile at an angle. She made sure to pull her charge from it before it touched the wooden pile. It wasn't perfect, but trying to wack most of the wooden pile away from the civilians should hopefully slow the spread a bit, but until she got the civilians free, slowing the spread was her best bet.
Now... did she go to the civilians and try to pry them free? She'd just make them a bigger target... She wasn't exactly strong in the close quarters department but she needed to get this guy away, and ensure he stayed away.
"Okay, bought myself time... your turn!"
Bursting back in his direction, Yumi just pushed her quirk for the speed it provided, trying to grasp at his clothes and yank him off the ground. If she got the chance to grab him, she'd just try and fly him away as fast as possible and put as much distance between him and the wood pile as he could.

Jaz:
The man flipped through his pages like your attacks were nothing. After all who could do any harm to his babies? Well to his dismay the constructs were falling one by one. This furrowed the brow of the man and he began chanting once more this time bringing a few of the golems back to life. To be precise the three that didn't get hit in the head returned to life. The other two laid shattered on the ground unmoving still. An evil smirk painted itself on the man's face as his chanting changed giving the three soldiers new orders. Instead of hobbling back to Jasmine, they headed towards the other victims' bladed arms at the ready. The ones in danger? The elderly couple, the woman under the piano, and the two kids collapsed on the ground.
As Jasmine made her way to save the man under the balcony though the other five constructs finished their preparations. They raised their arms and tossed the cubes around Jasmine as she held up the balcony surrounding her. The cubes of light would then expand drastically creating a converging point right where she was standing. Slowly they would expand but the pulsating of the cubes proved how much damage they could do if left unattended. The man would begin to cough as he tried to crawl out from under the balcony but his leg was stuck. A railing was pinning him down further, most likely piercing his foot, but he couldn't see it nor did he want to see it. He looked you straight in the eyes with fear drowning his face. It almost looked like he was accepting his death now.
Yumi:
After the flaming man's fireball hit he roared in laughter and glee, "That's how things are done, little missy!" His sneer and pure joy from causing you pain made the fact he was a possible hero or sidekick quite concerning. Your attack was once again true to its aim hitting him once more and stunning him for a few seconds. This gave you enough time to rush over to the civilians to aid them out of their predicament. As you rushed to help the civilians though his temper flared up once more as he shouted, "The game is over here not over there! Those are merely table scarps!" He would raise his hands to the sky and begin channeling his flames into a giant fireball that formed almost to the shape of the sun in how its flames danced above him. He would allow it to grow and grow till it was almost three times his size. This wasn't a move to save or help people but to destroy.
Despite his attack size though you rushed in and grabbed his clothes to carry him away from the wreckage. The giant fireball following along with you guys. The heat combination from the flames of his body and the flames of the sun he made was truly intense. Still, you were getting him away from the civilians which was by far the best choice of action right now. This irritated the man, but he refused to make a scene out of it outside of yelling profanities at you. This is when you would realize he couldn't fly and he was at your mercy in this situation.
Kirk:
The blonde girl looked dejected by the fact you wouldn't accept your kiss and the wolf girl though still annoyed at her behavior and the fact you hugged her has calmed down. "Whatever," the wolf girl would mutter as she is placed back on the platform. The blonde would simply smile at Kirk and respond with a bubbly, "Alright Mr. Man." She would give you a wink and turn back to the wolf girl and began to whisper in her ear. The wolf girl would roll her eyes and you could faintly hear her say, "fine." She would deactivate her quirk and turn back into her more human form for the time being.
As you paddled away and got closer and closer to the other boats you could hear some giggling echoing across the chamber. The source was coming from behind you where the girls were left, but before you could turn around to check and see what was going on the room was illuminated quickly and the power cables that threatened the water had stopped running. Now that you could see the room more clearly you saw a silver door on the opposite side of the pool with a six painted on it.
Suddenly you would hear a shout from behind you, "You need those six to advance to the next section good luck Mr. Hero Boy!" It was the blonde girl waving at you in pure joy. It was now that you would realize she was one of the exam people you would be facing. Her test was a bit different than most would be. You would then notice the ex-wolf girl was holding a remote with a few switches on it. She would proceed to shake it while pointing at the lights. This was to tell you they had the controls all along. She would then give you a smirk and add on to her counterpart's words by saying, "You're gonna need it."
The door would have six key slots for keycard access each given to the six civilians you would need to rescue. Once you brought them over to that platform they would scan their cards and the door would open revealing the next area much like the doors that brought you to this one. Blinding you with light.

Jasmine saw the desperation on his face clear as day. What's worse was that said desperation was quickly morphing into resignation. Her eyes narrowed and brows furrowed, a strange form of anger coiling up her spine like a python on the hunt for prey. She couldn't tell what state this man was in exactly but what was obvious to anyone with a set of eyeballs was that he was injured to the point that he was unable to move out of the rubble by himself. Jasmine wasn't sure if she could pull him out by force either. This was the first ever graduation exam and U.A. wasn't historically known for pulling its punches. Given that medical quirks which could restore entire limbs actually existed she couldn't put it past them to make this more than just a simulation. "Bastards...!" the girl cursed under her breath, her sharpened senses picking up the sound of cracking glass from behind her. One glance over her shoulder confirmed her suspicions, the sight of the translucent golems repairing themselves making her tense slightly. Two facts about this "villain's" quirk were made painfully clear to the lass. The first? His constructs, for whatever reason, couldn't reform if they had their heads destroyed. She assumed that's where whatever was their equivalent of a brain resided. The second? Whatever bullshit he said about him being irrelevant regarding his creations acting was just that - bullshit. His chanting made that woefully obvious. To make matters worse, strange cubes materialized around her and begun to grow in size. She could tell with one singular glance that they would pose their own set of problems. It didn't end there, either. The other constructs had their sights on the other civilians in the area and were fast on the approach. Jasmine clicked her tongue. It was like this exam was meant to choke the very life out of her. The situation she found herself in felt suffocating. Whatever room she had to wiggle about was in the process of being completely snuffed out. Everything was deliberately made to make her chances of succeeding slim to none. People to protect. Unstable footing. An overwhelming force of enemies. There was no help either -- she was completely on her own. Hell, far as she knew some other civilians could be on this asshole's side too. This didn't seem like it was made to test her. They wanted her to fail.
"Like fuck...!" Jasmine growled under her breath lowly, a snarl quick to form on her facial features. There was no way in hell she was backing down, regardless of the odds. They could throw the whole fucking world at her for all she cared, she still wouldn't give up without a fight. She was a fighter, a rebel, and whenever the system decided to knock her down a peg she'd always go down swinging. This was no different.
Jasmine's grip on the balcony tightened, her whole body tensing. The C2N14x she had been collecting inside her biological frame suddenly flared up, her shoulder blades heating up. Within about a third of a second a large explosion erupted from the upper part of her back, utterly demolishing the ever-growing cubes which had otherwise threatened to harm her and the man she had tried to pull out from under the crumbling balcony. This, in effect, raised a cloud of dust around the surrounding area, shrouding everything in a hazy mist of black and grey. The loud and rough clanging of metal could be heard as Jasmine stuck a fat and sturdy metal pipe below the rubble, creating a makeshift support beam so the structure didn't crumble down on top of the injured civilian. Focusing all of her senses, Jasmine acted immediately, throwing herself into the offensive in a matter of sheer split seconds. She had memorized the layout of the room already and her sharpened hearing, sight, and sense of smell made it easy to pin-point the exact location of every single glass golem that was present. She whizzed towards them like a bullet encased in pure untamable lightning. Three objectives: the elderly couple, the woman under the piano, and the two kids collapsed on the ground. Every single construct that had its blades raised in any of the three locations had their heads completely obliterated as Jasmine bulldozed through them using every single ounce of strength and speed at her disposal. Not a single movement was wasted, each motion carried out with precision and intent. It almost looked like the third year had been possessed by a vengeful spirit whose intentions were to completely annihilate the opposition. If that wasn't made clear through the way Jasmine handled the constructs, then going at the source would surely open everybody's eyes. She should've done this in the first place.
The fourth objective. "Checkmate, asshole."
Yaksha's visage emerged from the dust, her feral eyes laser-focused on the last target in the room. She approached him at inhuman speeds, her deft hand encased in wildly reactive and incredibly hot energies reaching out to grasp at his face directly. Should she reach her target and make contact, Jasmine would roar like a beast as she'd attempt to smash the back of his head into the ground with all of her strength, decidedly taking him out of the fight completely so she wouldn't need to worry about any of those inorganic bastards threatening any of the civilians again.

The girls could probably hear Kirk loudly sighing out of relief. He didn't really know what he could have done if the duo HADN'T accepted the terms. Now however, it was time to hunt for other people to save! However, before he could even consider the light issue, the lights came back on, and even the sound of crackling wires stopped. It revealed a door with a number, and a menacing taunt that sounded awful familiar. "Huh..." For a moment, there was a slight feeling of frustration. He should have probably guessed that someone SO intent on flirting with someone else in front their girlfriend was a villain. But soon enough it was enveloped in the proud warm feeling of 'Hey, I didn't fall for that one!' With that he raised his finger towards the door, and raised his voice. "Oh you can bet on it! Next time, no need to ruin your teamwork THAT badly!" A slight taunt for good measure.
However, she did give him advice. So six people needed to be saved, huh? Well, he needed to act quickly then! Don't want THAT duo causing any more trouble! With that, and the water now non electrified, Kirk sheathed his hockey stick, threw the balls strewn across his chest into his pouch, and looked at the next boat with people in the distance. "Well, guess it's time to turn this into a proper warm-up!" He tapped his shoes against the bottom of his little boat... And hopped into the water, his pouch pursed airtight! With a big splash, and a quick kick, the guy rushed forward, and in mere moments, was next to the boat, waving at the people on top of it! "What can I say, full body sports are a bit more my taste!" he grabbed onto the boat, and started pushing it towards the space where the door was. "And besides, wouldn't much of a test, if our costumes weren't put to the test too!" He was happy that his suit and shoes were pretty much waterproof. Although he had to admit, kicking speed in the water in sneakers was dang weird...
Nevertheless, with two folks taken to safety, he kicked off, and continued swimming. His mind was racing a little bit. Guess whatever the fight would be about later, it would be a two on one. A nasty situation. Admittedly, from what he saw, both of their quirks were pretty close range, or atleast seemed so. One was a straightforward monster transformation, and the other probably relied on getting kiss on the target. No clue what that would do though... and being under any effect in front of someone who was that rabid was never a good thing...
BONK!
In his thoughts, he had bonked his head on the boat with civilians. "Ah! Hello! Apologies, heroic forward planning going on in this head currently! I promise this trip will be a bit less bump inducing!" A quick quip to save face. But no big deal! It was not like him getting hurt would tip their boat any. Although it did serve as a slight reminder, that perhaps he should focus on the task at hand for now...
With that mindset, the last duo was also saved pretty quickly. He climbed out of the water, and shook off any excess moisture, ruffling his hair. "Not exactly the cleanest thing in the world this pool, but certainly swimworthy!" The civilians however focused a little bit more on the door, as they proceeded to scan their cards, and opened the door. "I guess that's phase one done." He launched the balls out of his pouch, and strapped on again. "Now, time for phase two!" There hadn't been that much action for him yet, and it just had him curious how the others were doing. That and of course, if something awaited him next!
