Affiliation: Student (Incoming First Year)
Height: 1.62 Meters
Weight: 57.07 Kilos
Hair/Style: Junko's hair is a raven black color, with a length that reaches down between her shoulder blades when not pulled up. Typically it is kept in a ponytail on the right side of her head, kept pinned in place with various types of accessorized hairties, many of which feature cartoonish designs of food.
Skin/Scars: Junko is a fair skinned individual, with seemingly unblemished skin. However, those that are perceptive enough might notice a very thin scar cutting through her left eyebrow, making a very faint split in it.
Eyes: Junko's eyes are a rather odd color, being very close to colorless, as they are a very pallid shade of gray. This seems to be the only oddity about them, as they are otherwise of normal shape, being moderately rounded as one would expect from a growing woman.

APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
The advent of quirks has led to a great many people being born with traits that would normally have been considered impossible before, such as odd hair and skin colors that had originally been something that could only be pulled off with dyes and paints. However, not every single individual has an incredibly remarkable appearance. For every one person with a completely wild physical appearance, there are several dozen people like Junko. Standing at 1.62 meters, she isn't exactly the tallest or the shortest person around. Her skin and eyes are colors that would have been possible even before the advent of quirks, and she possesses an average physique for a physically active young woman.
In a sense, Junko does not stand out because of any inherent oddity in her physique. What makes her stand out is her sense of style. There seems to be nearly no rhyme or reason to what she will wear. The closest thing that she has to a 'signature outfit' is simply a sports jacket and matching pair of shorts. Each of these articles of clothing are primarily yellow, featuring black stripes. In truth though, this 'signature outfit' is simply part of Junko's workout attire. In truth, she seemingly wears anything that will fit, with a few qualifiers: It cannot be long sleeved, it cannot be overly thick, and it must be easy to remove. With such loose rules, Junko has been known to come up with outfits that seem rather absurd at times, all of which somehow have a corresponding absurd hairtie.
However, upon closer inspection, there is at least one notable aspect of Junko's appearance. The first thing anyone taking a close look at the young girl would notice would have to be the thin scar that splits one of her eyebrows in half. Nobody is quite sure as to the origin of this particular scar. It is the only one that is visible on her body, but Junko remains incredibly tight lipped about it. Other than this single blemish, Junko's appearance is quite average, and once upon a time had resulted into her sort of blending into the crowd.

DISLIKES
✖ Smoking. Be it cigarettes, Cigars, or even more illicit types of smoke, the scent always makes her start to gag and cough because of how unpleasant it is.
✖ Waiting. Junko has always hated being stuck doing nothing. When given a choice, she would almost always take even a mindless, repetitive task over just standing around.
✖ Zombies/Undead. This is a more recent subject that Junko has taken a disliking to, due to the actions of a certain skeletal figure. She refuses to speak about it, just like her scar.
Personality:
"In tough times, it's always good to keep an open mind, and a smile on your face." These words are what Junko claims to be the first moral she was ever told. Hearing that kind of statement at such a young age is bound to help shape a child's personality. At the very core of her being, Junko is an open minded, incredibly cheerful young girl. In spite of the general disdain towards quirkers, she has come to approach nearly everything with a smile, believing that all most people need is an example of quirks doing genuine good to bring them to change their minds. This mindset has led a great number of people to call her idealistic at best, and incredibly naïve at worst.
And yet, for all of their words and attempts to change her mind, she has remained rather entrenched in her belief. This stubborn insistence on pursuing what might be considered by most to be a fruitless task is perhaps one of the strongest negative traits that she has. It isn't just with her chasing of her ideal that this stubbornness raises its head, after all. Once Junko has made a decision, she will more often than not end up sticking with it until she absolutely cannot anymore. In a way, it's her own internalized way of standing up for herself. Sadly, it leads to problems more often than not.
However, stubbornness is not her only issue. For possessing the seemingly limitless energy that she is known for has its own drawbacks. Namely, Junko is notably impatient when it comes to simply waiting, often finding other things to distract herself with. This has been a bit of a problem in the classroom on a day to day basis, as she will inevitably end up becoming annoyed with teachers that don't operate their classrooms at a fast enough speed for her, leading her to throw herself into some other activity to keep herself collected, such as doodling in her notebooks. While she is a good student, this impatience has led her to make decisions that seem counterintuitive at best, as she has occasionally been known to decide to skip a particular class that she dislikes on random impulse.
Granted, a degree of impulsivity should be expected from someone her age, and is something that becomes less and less of a problem for her every day. However, there is one trait that she struggles with far more greatly. One that runs deeply counter to her desire to be a hero. Junko does not take well to being wronged, and has been known to be quite vindictive when something or someone has finally pushed her over the edge. In these scenarios, her tendency towards bullish stubbornness comes out at full display, as she is not easily dissuaded from simply turning the other cheek and allowing these slights to stand uncontested.
However, she is working to correct this attitude. She has gotten into arguments with many trusted friends and close relatives whenever her need for vindication arises, as there have been cases in which this dark side of herself has severed friendships that she once thought would last a lifetime. While she is working on being better, that vindictive desire still remains, buried deep, to the point where even she refuses to acknowledge its existence. As of late, the cases in which this darkness has a chance to rear its head have become incredibly few and far between. Generally speaking, most people will never see the darker side of Junko, as her positive traits are so much more strongly tied to her very core beliefs than anything else ever could be, as her desire to truly help both others and the world remains at the very core of her being.

HISTORY
To say that the advent of quirks has changed the way the world works would not just be an understatement, it would be the biggest understatement of all time. This change has been brought forth into the world to be borne on the backs of the newest generations. However, not every child was initially willing to bear that burden. Born in the year 2060, Junko spent many of her important formative years growing up in the tail end of what has now come to be referred to as the "Age of Villains". While most older individuals would merely shrug this off as an unimportant detail, it is certainly something that should be of note. For most of her childhood, Junko heard adults speak about villains and the vigilantes that tried to stop them in an almost interchangable manner. For every comment she heard about a vigilante doing something good, there were at least three others admonishing that person for one reason or another. When taking that into account, it would be no wonder that a child might find themselves hesitant to move the metaphorical needle. Even when Junko herself developed a quirk at the young age of five, she found that she wasn't really all too keen on being showy about it.
However, she would not be given the good fortune of having a quirk that she could easily hide. As it turned out, her quirk could mildly manifest when she was experiencing a heavy state of any emotion. And as children so often do, they take after their parents. Some of her classmates decided to shun Junko. However, many others found themselves drawn to her, as her quirk gave her something that was considered taboo for younger people: Tattoos. As the years passed, Junko found herself making many friends, as her own bubbly and upbeat nature managed to win over quite a few people, while the fact that she had a quirk drove only a small handful away. However, deep down there was still that indecision. Junko watched as more and more people around her started demonstrating quirks of all sorts. But she also still heard the adults in her life occasionally talk negatively of the people who were moving the needle in terms of preventing quirk based crime. Interestingly though, it had become far more rare than it had when she was very young. And then it happened. The government made its first big display of acceptance towards people like her. Many of the vigilantes that she had heard the grown ups speak about were showing up on the news once more. But not in a negative light. Instead, it was announced that they would be working with the government. And by the time Junko had turned twelve, an entirely new concept had arrived. A school for heroes. It sounded like something straight out of a book. But she still was unsure. Many of her friends talked excitedly about it because of how new it was.
But Junko was not among these individuals. She was always noncommittal on the topic. She would certainly admit that these things sounded neat, but she never gave a straight answer when she was asked if she would ever want to go to that new school. Truth be told, she had started to get more focused on some extracurricular activities, like running track after school. But, to say that there was no thought put into the idea would be a lie. It wasn't every night, but there were many nights where Junko found herself unable to sleep as she wrestled with the intrigue of the appearance of heroes had happened. And this back and forth would be sustained by the events that would happen in the years to follow. The first wave of UA Students being exposed to QED would temporarily give rise to the idea that she didn't want to help. But within the next month, one of the more notorious villains had attacked a hospital. And for a time, the idea of helping people had been given a greater rise.
The month after? She found herself constantly looking over her shoulder, as the people who had been the most open about their quirks had suddenly been attacked during a field trip of sorts. Another point against becoming a hero. The first UA Sports Festival aired, giving younger children like Junko a peek into the world of heroes in training, as well as a point for becoming one. This back and forth happened over and over. For every few months where Junko seemed more willing to entertain the idea of becoming a hero, there were just as many where she found herself wanting to act like she didn't even have a quirk--admittedly difficult to do, given how much she had come to learn about things, and the fact that at least once every other day, she could be seen sporting some new tattoo within the changing rooms. Society's needle had moved, and heroes were becoming accepted. But her own internal needle hadn't yet been given enough sway in one direction or the other. Something big would have to happen to change it. And it would.
2074 started off strong in its attempts to properly sway Junko to becoming a hero. Between the actions of heroes and students that many people had been made to see firsthand due to a mass breakout from Fuchu Prison, and the second annual Sports Festival, Junko had definitely found herself becoming more interested in heroes. She became more active in the conversations about them with her friends who also ran track, and had even become more and more interested in her own quirk as the years had passed, even to the point of taking chemistry classes to learn more than just the baseline of how to not poison herself. In fact, she had learned that she could somewhat reliably defend herself with her quirk if needed, even from a fair distance. However, as summer turned to fall, a defining point in Junko's life would hit. All across Japan, a broadcast of a walking, talking skeleton played. And soon after, the day had turned into a scramble. Corpses had risen and were assaulting anyone and everyone they could get their hands on. On top of this, Villains had started to join in the chaos.
Unfortunately for Junko, she was not lucky enough to have been safely locked away in her home that day. No. She and her friends were caught in the middle of it all. The panic in everyone else's actions was palpable. Even Junko could feel the desire to run coursing through her veins. But something else had propelled her forward, towards the crowd of villains and corpses, rather than away from it. An older woman had tripped and fallen in her attempts to get away from the horde. The next few hours remain a blur to Junko even to this day. When talking about it, all she can bring herself to describe is the gnashing of teeth and the raking of dead fingers across her body. However, the woman got away safely. Junko had used her quirk to protect the woman, getting between her and one of the many shambling corpses. As one tried to bite her, she shoved her forearm upwards. As the mouth clamped down, it didn't find the purchase of flesh. Instead, it found itself grinding against one of Junko's tattoos. This one had taken the form of a bunch of mismatched shapes. From up close, it was hard to tell what it was supposed to be. But from a distance, one could see that her arm looked to be covered in some kind of armor. She fought with these corpses hand to hand, giving the old woman time to get up and run. But it was a terrifying experience.
Junko had witnessed death firsthand that day, up and walking around. And as she tried to make her own escape, she ended up left with a permanent reminder, as one of the more rotted corpses managed to catch her right above her eye as she turned to sprint away. Today, that wound is the thin scar that breaks one of her eyebrows. But wound aside, the needle had finally moved. In the days after the chaos of the living dead had been wrapped up, Junko had managed to gather her thoughts..and start training. She still had time. She would apply to U.A. She realized now that she had this ability. Not only that, but it had allowed her to help someone. And being there to help that person felt..amazing. Like there had been something within her that had finally been filled. For now, she is eagerly awaiting the start of the next school year, ready to see what new path she has begun to head down. After all, these next four years are when she'll begin to decide what kind of hero she wants to be.
However, she would not be given the good fortune of having a quirk that she could easily hide.
