(before anyone complains, she’s technically outside school grounds)
Harper liked to think she lived in the moment a lot. She didn’t think much of the consequences she may face in the future, she didn’t think too had about the pressures she faced in the past, the good times or the bad. What mattered was what she was feeling now. That was… an idealistic view of herself at least. Now and then she could be whistful about the past, a friend she left behind even so young in Australia, or a school class transfer that had her lose a friend or a cool teacher in Japan. Today though, she was left a little rough thinking about the future.
Harper wanted a good life. She wanted a life she enjoyed but… she didn’t know what that really entailed. Rate she was going she knew she was likely to end up becoming a borderline drifter, running from police in different cities as she tried to live the life of a vigilante. Push her limits, seek out bigger and better thrills all while making a name for herself. A name for overkill but…
That was her current path. The wild path, without thought or reason… maybe some reason, but it was still fully instinctive. A gut reaction to chase thrills and excitement and a sense of power without becoming an absolute fucking dick about it but… there was another, similar path, that maybe meant she could be less of dick, and have less of a worry about her future.
Having skated out from the train station, Harper kicked up her skateboard and dragged it behind her, not really caring about the grinding sound of the wood against the gravelly path. The think worked, she didn’t care how scuffed up it looked. Her destination was to her left but she’d never be able to truly reach it but… a nice bit of admiration couldn’t hurt.
Propping her board up against the fence, Harper slipped her arms through the bars, and pressed her forehead against a space between them, looking up to the almost blindingly blue UA building. She wasn’t sure if they just painted the glass blue or if the sky just reflected at the perfect angle off of them to give it that look but… hey, it was working for it. She didn’t really think about it often but… the idea of being a hero was a pleasant one at times and hell at others. She wanted to… do good, get out there with her quirk, put a foot print on the world… but heroes weren’t all about that. They were rules, regulation, showmanship came secondary, unless you were REALLY good at your job and knew you could showboat, knew you had what it took to beat the bad guys and still make sure everyone knew it was you doing it…
She knew she had what it took. She knew she was strong enough but…
Doubt was still there, as much as she hated to admit it…
She let out a wistful little sigh, just leaning against the bars, looking out to UA. It’d be cool to be there one day but… behaving for 3 full years just to see some action, and then… never truly being able to let loose? Did she really want that? Really…?

Cause darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream The sound of tires rolling against the asphalt, The light purr of a the well designer car, It was quiet. Remy, for once, was quiet. The pale skinned boy stared out the window blankly. His crimson eyes watching the buildings go by. The past few months were... awful. But now he was back from France and able to continue his studies once more. He had barely even gotten started when he was pulled away. But now he was back, and though the young man was sitting quietly in the back of the care as his chuffer drove him back to his school where he would continue to live, the excitement was beginning to bubble up inside of him as he began to recognize the buildings. This was it, he was finally away from that terrible place once more and back at school. He wondered how different things were, were his friends still here? Would they even remember him? Did they even like him? His head was a roller coaster of emotions, especially due to the events of the past few months. As Soon as the building came into view Remy's black face began to stretch into something wide, exploding with joy. His deep crimson eyes began glittering with hope as they approached the building. Remy began thinking of what he wanted to do first, maybe he would go get some food, or maybe he would try to find his old friends, OR maybe that crazy strong teacher who first showed him around the school! She was really nice to him. The boy's long slender hands began patting on his knees in a quick, excited beat. His legs bouncing as he could barely contain himself. As the car pulled up to the school the door swung open violently before it even came to a halt. The young boy hopped out of the car, his arms raised in the air and letting out an almost manic laugh. "I'M HOOOOOOME!" He said as he twirled on his toes in a less than graceful 360. The boy was wearing Black Capris with red stitching down the sides, a pink button up dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up past his elbow revealing a green underside with white polka dots. He had Red Suspenders on and black dress shoes. Fairly well dress, though fairly childish. He had red fabric in his white hair that kept his long bangs out of his face so that he could see. But more odd than that was the cross shaped stitching throughout his body. The red stitching contrast brilliantly with his pale skin as it ran from his hands up his arms disappearing under his shirt. There was also red stitching peeking out from under his shirt, which had the top two buttons undone, The stitches running up his neck. And minor stitches just under his right eye. "Bye! Thank you Monsieur!" Remy said cheerfully as he shut the door and waved to his chauffer. As Remy turned around and began to march towards the gate of the school he stopped in mid step and stared, there was a teenager standing there at the gate. Remy didn't recognize them, but then again he barely knew anyone at the school to begin with. But why were they just standing outside looking in like some puppy thrown out in the snow? "Hello there!" Remy shouted as he ran towards them, well... more like skipped, he skipped towards them with a cheerful grin. "My name is Remy, Are you a student at UA?!" He asked cheerfully as he reached them. He stopped and looked up at the school, then back at the person in front of him, eager to make a new friend. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Harper heard the sound of a car rolling up nearby, but off in their own little world they hadn’t really noticed just how close that car actually was. They were on the sidewalk anyway so it wasn’t like they were worried, but all the same the realization of just how close it was came with the sound of someone calling out to them. A jolt ran through them followed by a red electrical spark flowing up from their legs, darting back from the bars with a fleck of super-speed sprinkled in there for good measure- “Hyuh!?” Brought from their own imagination and day dreams by the rather energetic call, Harper’s eyes fluxuated for a moment, their body getting used to the burst of adrenaline their quirk inadvertently accelerated… sighing as she pat herself down. “Hey.” She gave back.
Given their names and a question, Harper glanced back briefly to the school before shaking her head, her spunky blonde locks swaying briefly with it. “Nope. Maybe not for a few months, maybe not ever. Their new school year starts in April or sumthin’ I think.” She gave a casual shrug. She was never too attentive to details and while she was eager to give their sign ups a go she genuinely wasn’t sure when exactly they were. She still had like, a month before it truly mattered though, just needed to make sure she was there to put her sign up sheet in, so to speak. Looking back to the rather odd kid before her, looking somehow older and younger than herself, she tipped her head to the side and narrowed her gaze. “How about you? I mean you’re either a fanboy from the… ‘eagerness’, lookin’ to get a glimpse of a student, or you’re one of the ‘quirky’ ones they let in that I’ve heard about.”

Cause darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream Remy's naturally sunken in eyes looked over the person in front of him as they turned and began speaking to him. His head naturally and childishly copying hers as it tilted to the side. Though his hand raised and he placed his finger on his chin and began tapping lightly. The boy listened to their responses and he stayed, standing there in a pose as if he were overthinking something. He even gave a light "Hmm" Sound as if he were in the middle of some complex thought, but nothing was further than the truth. What he was really thinking about was the 'skate board' they were holding. He had heard about them before, and seen them around from time to time, but never one up close like this. He was busy looking at their board trying to figure out exactly how it worked, it looked like it had been scrapped around a lot. Suddenly the boy's body jerked up into a straight up manor, as if a puppet being picked up by his strings as his eyes want wide and he gasped. "You're planning on attending?! That means you have a quirk right?! What is it? Can I see it? I bet it's super cool!" His attention had been completely pulled away from her skateboard for the moment and he was now focused back on the person in front of him. "Oh-" He began as he remember he should answer their question. "I AM a student here! Though, I had to step away for a while for 'PERSONAL REASONS' " The boy said, as he said 'personal reason' He rose his hands up and lowered his head slightly to cast a dark shadow over his face as if he was speaking some horrific secret. the white hair flew through the wind as he suddenly threw his head back and began to laugh manically. "Happy to be back though! And I do hope you can come to this school so we can be friends!...Though I suppose we could be friends even if you don't go to school here!" They had used a good word for him... Eccentric.

Harper pulled back a little as the little creep before them straightened up like… like a straight thing? Ugh. Come on brain get with the similes, anyway. It was unnerving in it’s own right to say the least and she certainly wasn’t used to anyone she hung out with having more energy than her, so a slightly off kilter kid like this definitely rubbed her the wrong way on some level.
“Yeah o’course I got a quirk. What kinda idiot would try and be a hero without a quirk?” She barked back a little confrontationally, not really liking the in your face energy of this kid for nothing else than sheer instinct that it wasn’t normal. Still, she didn’t see any REAL reason to distrust the kid, rolling her eyes a little as he begged to see it, rolling up her jacket sleeve and presenting her arm. “It ain’t really a visual quirk though. Look.” Tensing the muscles in their arm and pulling on their quirk, the faintest, briefest, blink and you miss it flicker of red sparks flowed around their arms like chaotic energy before fading, extremely brief and not at all harmful if he somehow managed to make a grab for her arm.
“My quirk is just this… energy in my veins. It lets me speed up any physical process in my body. I can make myself digest, heal, and act faster. Even think faster. And-“ Arm reared back, shot forward over the guy’s left shoulder, and back again, all in a split second, a rapid punch that shifted the air around it with it’s speed and force. Nothing too impressive for anyone in UA, but definitely faster than any normal kid her age should be capable. “Well… punch faster.~ There are some other benefits but ehhhh…” She shrugged casually. “Why get into the minutia of it all?~ Unless you’re a third year you’ll get to see it next year if the exam board know talent when they see it.~”
The chance to brag helping them feel a little more at ease, Harper sunk her hands into her pockets after knocking their sleeve back down, a few slow breaths helping get their energy levels back down to normal after that brief display of her quirk.
As the kid talked about their own vague personal issues though Harper didn’t quite know how to respond, narrowing his gaze and just wondering to himself what on earth they may be referring to but feeling quite a lot safer not asking. “Uuuuh huh.” They responded, before chuckling a little at the request they be friends. “No offense kid but I’ve got my own friends. They ain’t all gonna end up at UA but… well…” Glancing back to UA, she chuckled and shook her head. She wanted to end up there, sure, but what she’d heard of the other students? “I’ve heard this place tends to be half filled with would be villains, drop outs, cowards and wusses. Again, I ain’t judgin’ you so quickly, but if this school’s past is gonna be anything like it’s future, I’m gonna take my sweet time picking who I bother wasting my time on, so I wouldn’t hold your breath there ‘aight mate?”

Cause darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream It was easy for Remy to see that she was a bit... taken back by him and his energy, heck that was MOST people's response to him. The real question was did he care? The answer was obviously: NOPE! He loved making new friends and this entire new world outside of the military base. Though, Remy had a hard time making friends back then... well after his quirk showed up at least. That wouldn't keep him from trying more! Though, there were some loose ends in that brain of his that made this little ball of energy a bit more chaotic and an unknown of what road they were really going to end up going down. As they pulled their sleeve back and told him to look he leaned over, almost comically so as he got as close as he could to their arm, probably closer than comfort. His crimson eyes going wide as he stared at their arm as hard as he could, trying his hardest not to blink and even holding his breath. It was a lot like a child when you told them to look closely for a small animal, a shooting star, or a fairy or something. As he saw the small flash of energy he gasped in excitement and jumped. His hands reaching up and clasping at his cheeks in amazement, even though he had no idea what they had done. His wide eyes glanced up at their face as they began explaining their quirk, his head nodding along with them as they explained. "Mhm..Mhmm.. MHM!" He tried to take note, the ability to accelerate things?! Seemed amazing and really useful! Suddenly Her fist flashed forward past his head causing his white hair to be tossed in the wind current as he fist was back in position before he had even seen it leave. His mouth slowly went agape in shock as he suddenly hopped up and began clapping Bravo! Bravo!" He said excitedly, his French accent really taking over when pronouncing the words. He listened to them as they explained in a straight forward manor that they wouldn't accept him as a friend and how the school had a bad rep for students dropping out and becoming villains. His face fell at this as he listened, looking down at the side walk as he thought for a moment. 'Villians...' Remy had very little experience with such a thing. A little while back a bunch of people attacked the school and he tried to help as much as he could. He couldn't believe people would use their quirks for bad things... Maybe that's why his father was so upset that he had developed a quirk and thought that maybe he would become a villain? Though a part of Remy knew that wasn't the whole truth, it did make him hopeful that he could maybe earn his father's love back by becoming a hero. Remy nodded his head in an instant his lips curved into a smile once more and he excited looked up at the new person in front of him. "I see, then I'll just have to prove to you I'm a good friend and not some lame-o villain" He said in a determined voice before looking at them. Man! You have a really cool Quirk! You would make a great hero all like 'POW POW POW' 'HIIIIYA' TAKE THAT BAD GUYS!'" He said punching his arms wildly in the air as quickly as he could and kicking into the air as well. Remy was a relatively fast kid, at least faster than most, though not matching in their punching speed. He looked like a little boy acting out his favorite Saturday morning cartoon in the front of the school. Not a care in the world about who saw him or what he looked like. He then looked back to Harper. "OH! You never told me your name! I'm just a first year at U.A. So I'll still be around, so when you do get in I'll be sure to remember it so I can prove to you we can be friends!" Remy said happily as his head titled to the side like a happy little puppy. The truth was Remy was no stranger to rejection. He had plenty of friends when he was younger, though as everyone grew up he did become a bit 'overwhelming' for some, and once he got a quirk... well.. He was then seen as a enemy. But, friends was what Remy Cherished and longed for. Though he didn't realize it himself, and it didn't show in the slightest, there was something in the back of his mind that was hurt yet another rejection. Something that made another 'tick' against the cell wall of his brain. Yet another reason to lose hope in those around him and let the 'chaos' envelope him.
