Nari had never gotten hired for a job before so going on a mission like this was quite a thrill for the serpentine woman. Perhaps that villain chat could be put to good use after all. This was a simple assassination mission: kill the boss of an organization and get out without leaving your tracks. Seemed easy enough, Nari could do something like that in her sleep. She wasn't even expecting a reward from this but the man who contacted her said he would pay heavily for completing this task. The thought of a big bounty payout made Nari quite giddy, but she couldn't let that be her main focus of the night. She had a job to do.
Nari decided to wait out and keep watch of her target, following his every action, keeping track of every minute detail for future use, she wouldn't let this one out of her sights. She couldn't act just yet, there were still too many people around and though she is quite stealthy, she didn't want to risk getting caught by a civilian and having heroes on her trail. She promised her father she would do her best to stay out of the eyes of the law while doing her dirty work. That is what a true villain does was what her father said. For now, all the brunette could do was wait.

Destination: Assassination
Elena silently entered an abandoned building. Her black boots avoiding the rubble that had piled up over years of the building not being used. What made this building interesting for Elena was its position opposite of the base of a certain organization involved in her current job. Only hours earlier she had met up with a new employer and received the assignment to kill the leader of the organization. It was a chance to build up new connections with this employer and therefore Elena accepted the assignment on such a short notice.
All in all it was nothing to hard, if it weren’t for the underlings and civilians crossing the area. Moving up the stairs to archive a position with a better outlook Elena started to plan her proceeding. She preferred not being detected and thus being far away from her victim when it was discovered. For this she needed it to be alone.
Reaching the top of the stairs Elena walked into a room facing the hideout of the organization. But as she entered it, she stopped in her tracks. There already was a person in this room. A girl, judging from the bit Elena was able to see. Reflexively her right hand touched the sheath of one of the daggers hidden under to folds of her black dress, to check the knife was there. After over two years of carrying the two knifes with every day she often forgets they are there. Too used to their weight and the pressure of the sheaths and straps that fixed them on her legs.
Barely audible Elena knocked the doorframe with her left hand, to inform the girl of her arrival if she hadn’t already noticed it. Elena couldn’t have her inside this building while she works on his assignment. This room has a perfect view and having a random person here wasn’t working out well with Elena’s plan.

Nari's view of her target was great from the abandoned building she chose to reside in. Sadly she was not a sniper or else she could have already gotten the job done quick. You win some and you loose some she supposed although she much rather preferred winning than anything else. It was rather boring just watching her target sitting and doing nothing, she wanted so badly to go and complete her mission so she could relax at home in her nice warm bubble bath with a cup of peppermint tea at her side. She supposed she would have to wait until later, the job did come first after all. Nari's eyes never left her target, that was until she heard something resembling a knock behind her. Nari could have sworn she shut the door, she didn't think anyone else knew about her secret hideout spot.
Nari slowly turned around, seeing what appeared to be another woman in the door frame, not too much older than she was. Nari blinked and moved her brunette bangs out of her eyes before she looked at the noir haired woman once more. The brunette did not recognize the woman nor did she know what business the other had here looking like how she did. She looked like she was about ready to visit the casino or go to some fancy dinner, but instead she was here in the broken old decrepit building staring back at her. Nari blinked once more and smiled, raising her hand to wave at the other. She did not know of the other's intentions so she would play things off as if one of them was lost. Kindness wasn't bad now, was it? |

Well…it could have gone worse. With the girl smiling and waving at Elena she felt bad for her initial overcautious reaction. She forced her hand away from the knife hidden underneath it and returned the smile hesitantly, but still a tad bit reserved. Continuing to stand in the doorframe Elena thought about how to proceed. She didn’t knew why the girl was in the building. Maybe it was her secret hideout when she wanted to be alone? For Elena it had been the music room in their house at home and later on one of the barely used music rooms at university. Since having it all left behind she hadn’t had the chance to find such a place again.
Carefully Elena pulled out her notepad from one of her dresses pockets. Most of her dresses got small pockets to enable Elena to carry her notepad and phone with her. Otherwise it was nearly impossible to communicate with others. Barely anyone knew sign language and Elena wasn’t too proficient with it, too. When pulling the notepad out she showed it obviously out of recent habit. She didn’t know if the girl was a villain or not, however most villains would be cautious and rather suspect a weapon being drawn than a notepad.
Elena opened it and wrote down some words. ‘Hello. I’m Elena. What are you doing here?’ Simple and direct. A moment Elena thought about throwing the pad at the girl through the room, but decided against it. It would be more suspicious. Instead she walked halfway to the girl, offering her the notepad with an outstretched hand.

Nari craned her neck to see what the other had been doing, only to see the noirette pull out a notepad and pen. Nari's eyes lit up, was she going to do what the brunette thought she was going to do? She was curious if the other could actually speak or not or if she was just hiding her voice from Nari so that she would not get caught or something like that. Nari watched the girl hold out the notepad and step a bit closer to where she was, but not a lot. Nari took a few steps closer to the other, staying cautious as she read the other's short message.
Nari smiled and clapped, pulling out her own notepad and pencil to show the raven haired girl that she possessed one too. The brunette flipped open the pad and began writing a rather lengthy message before showing it to the other, 'It's quite nice to see someone else communicate through notes as well! My name is Nari. I tend to visit this place quite often during the wee hours of the night much like tonight. It gives me closure. I could ask the same of you, what brings you to a place like this? Unless this places also holds sentiment in your heart as well.' Nari made sure she wasn't too close to the other but not too far so that she could not read the message she had written. The serpentine girl had to be careful with what she said, the other girl could be a villain or a hero in disguise. She had to see if she could be trusted. Perhaps if they kept chatting like this, she would find out more info on this Elena character, but she also had to keep in mind her target, not to let him get away. |
