For her first real combat classes, officially sanctioned by her new role as a combat teacher, Mia wanted to do something simple. She'd felt like in the past years during the tournaments, some animosity tended to leak into the fights, but she just wanted to see what these kids could do off their own backs as fighters, especially when competing against a fellow student, or against circumstances, that put them at roughly equal footing. Now she wasn't a genius or anything she knew that readily enough... but she felt like she had enough battle instinct from watching these kids to come up with some strong pairings out of those who'd ended up signing up.
Today's pairing should prove to be interesting. She hadn't seen Eli doing any real work in the classroom herself, not that he didn't do work, Mia had just never found his focus landing on them, and Jack, well, they'd done one bit of work together out in the field but some shit hit the (ooc) fan and that didn't really get far. She was eager to see what these two could do, but she made sure to do her research, and from the looks of things, she felt like Jack was going to be having the instinctive advantage. It should be a good thing to keep an eye out for... and between the kid who could generate diamonds and the guy who could turn into a dragon? MIa started to come up with some fun ideas.
Having arranged a bus to take her, and the other students involved to the Saikyuen building on the outskirts of Tokyo, the huge dome shaped building had prepared a few unique battle terrains for them, for Jack and Eli all she needed was the power of the Saikyuen's building team to prepare her something in advance, and while her request was certainly... unique, her constant use of the building was what had gotten them a few more serious government contracts, so they were happy to indulge the odd ludicrous idea here and there.
Jack and Eli, once suited up in their gear, would enter from the same side of the arena, and their to greet them was a rather... 'colorful' arena choice. Made out of giant building block toys, Mia opened her arms up with a playful sense of pride as she presented the castle behind her. Sure it looked like one big joke, but this was her first combat class as official combat teacher. She wanted to make these a fun yet still testing experience, cause a good fight was just that to her. Hella fun. Best to keep tensions low while the kids were facing eachother anyway!~
"Well welcome kids to your combat lesson! If I heard right the two of you are gonna be graduating soon, and given the end of year tournaments may still go ahead with some tension of their own, I thought I'd let this be a more... fun, if still challenging opportunity. Eli, you mind making yourself at home?" She stepped aside and gestured to the toy castle, inviting Eli to head inside. The interior would still be made of toy blocks, heavily weighted but not impossible to knock over or break apart. There would be interior hallways, but nothing too complex. So long as Jack got the right angle on the castle, he could probably fire a plasma breath that'd reach somewhere inside, it all depended where he made the shot from of course.
"As for you Jack." She returned, rubbing her hands together. "As the student with the higher combat scores, here's your handicap. You have to take one of your larger dragon forms. Effectively, the rule is-" She gestures to the castle. "If you can fit anything more than your head inside? You're not big enough." She'd wait for Jack to start growing, a wide grin on her maw as she backed up and gave the two space. She knew this was silly, it might be brushed off as a joke, but a dragon attacking a castle? Fuck she couldn't resist, and she at least tried to put some thought into it to make it interesting for the two of 'em.
"When yer ready? Begin!"
You can use the first round to find your feet, or start the fight right away, the counter for '5 rounds' will start whenever you actually start fighting
- Arena But giant sized ofc
- Jack's handicap is he must always be in a large dragon form. He can shift a little, but he can never be small enough to fit inside the castle
