The invitation had been sent out via the villains online chat, though those that answered weren't names that Taichi was familiar with... To him it didn't matter though, he had the Kobayashi family at his beck and call while his father was away and that alone was enough of an army to free him from prison. That definitely wasn't why he had sent out a call to arms. No, the real reason was to spread out the collateral damage, to help the influence of the Kobayashi spread even further among villain society, and to create a sort of bond with other villains that may answer him.
Taichi found himself in his father's favorite meeting place, the Crimson Dragon Inn, though unlike his with his father the young man kept the place devoid of any other visitors. The only ones that would be allowed inside would be those that had taken the invitation. he would meet these new villains, brief them on the plan to break into the new quirker prison known as Yomi and free his father. The act alone would earn those involved quite a bit of fame in the medias eyes as he was sure everyone would be watching the events unfold... and what an event he had planned.
"It's been a while since I've been able to go full out... this is going to be pretty interesting." He said to the man standing by his side, a red mask covering his eyes and a sour expression on his face. Taichi just scoffed as he waved his hand at the man.
"Come on, you know damn well what happened between you and dad was a one time thing. You might be his favorite toy, but I'm the first son. I might not have wanted to take over from the old man, but we both know im best suited to the task. Just watch, I'll be the one to win in the end." He promised the red haired man as he perched himself in one of the large crimson, elegant looking sofas in the corner of the restaurant. He slouched back in the chair, pulling out his phone as he sent a final reminder to the villains chat to see if he might be able to squeeze a last bit of interest.
<<Last chance to get your name in for one hell of a party. We're breaking Thundershock out in 24hrs, meet me at the Crimson Dragon in ASAP, or miss out. >>

For all the time that she had spent in Kabukicho previously, Kado had never actually been down into the Underground portion of the district. At least not properly. Even back then she had known not to tempt fate with the Yakuza groups that called that place their territory, but this time was different. This time she had an open invitation from Thunders own son.
Of course, Kado was attending as her Thurisaz persona rather than her civilian self. Mask, hooded cloak, the works. And just in case anything occurred tonight, the red head brought with her a shoulder bag that was filled with plant matter. Just in case she had to summon Thorn in a pinch. She had no idea if this Crimson Dragon Inn had any real plants inside, nor any nearby for that matter. She had tried to use synthetic plants as a conduit once as an experiment.
Once.
Kado had been sick and completely bed-ridden for a week after trying that and swore off fake plants for eternity. The red head shuddered at the mere memory of that sensation before focusing on the task at hand. She could see a few other people were making their way to the Inn as well, some that she thought she recognised from previous such gatherings at other locations. She could try to confirm later on, but for now she had a Yakuza heir to meet and discuss how to release Thunder Shock from the prison that Sonya had helped to create presumably.
Kado couldn't help but wonder if she would make an appearance at this meeting as well, given the situation. And if she did... The locket hidden under her leather bodysuit hung heavy around her neck at the "Maybe" that she had received from the white haired woman before she'd disappeared to tend to her Quirk...

@ everyone showing up to the party | ◀ | Prezioso fascio di gioia ❤ Now this was certainly an interesting offer. Ingrid grinned mischievously as she read the words on her computer screen. A chance to help bust out one of the biggest names in modern villainy out of prison. How dangerous! How exciting! The girl had too much free time on her hands and not many ways to spend it. All of her current work (both school and villain) was already completed, and her top secret project would not be finished anytime soon. Her friends were all busy, so talking to them was out of the question. Since the alternative would be wallowing in boredom in her room all by herself, of course Ingrid was going to go.
Naturally, the Italian girl had a few preparations to make before heading out. First, she needed to do something about her appearance. The last thing she wanted was to risk anyone finding out that Ingrid Fabbri, the talented and hardworking honors student, actually had a second life as a villain. No, she needed to be In-Grid, the criminal underworld's rising technological genius and brilliant inventor (in her own mind, at least). So she needed to do something to change her usual appearance and minimize the risk of being found out. Fortunately, being a girl made out of wires meant that subtly altering her looks at a moment's notice was mere child's play. A few wire realignments and color changes later, and the girl's usual pink eyes and hair became light brown. In addition, her facial features, hair length, and body shape were all very slightly different. Hopefully this would make Ingrid look different enough that anyone who knew her (or at least knew her usual non-villainous self) would have a very hard time recognizing her.
That was not the only preparation Ingrid made, however. As she typed in Villain Chat, Ingrid would be bringing over some of her tech. No robots, as it would be hard to sneak any out of the house. However, the girl did bring some of her favorites. Her special hacking tablet which she never left home without, a couple of gadgets (nothing too fancy, though), a few weapons (such as knives, tasers, and a modified toy gun so it wasn't just a child's toy anymore), body armor, and binoculars. All of which (except the tablet, which the girl would carry herself) would just barely fit in Ingrid's two briefcases.
Hey, better to be over-prepared than under-prepared, right?
With everything in hand, Ingrid would start making her way out of the house. It was a good thing her parents were both out at the moment, or things would be very awkward with the girl having a different appearance and carrying two briefcases. She called a taxi, waited for the driver to arrive, got in, and was driven a few blocks away from her true destination. After getting out the car and paying the driver, Ingrid grabbed her stuff and began to walk on over to the place where big things were about to go down.
Upon arriving at the Crimson Dragon Inn, Ingrid decided to greet her fellow villains and soon to be partners-in-crime with a warm smile. "I'm heeeeeeere~" The girl would then wave cheerfully at everyone there, as though greeting friends she had not seen in a long time. "For those who don't know me and think I'm just a random stranger barging in here, it's a-me, Fili." Because the last thing Ingrid wanted was to be kicked out because everyone else here thought she was just a random lunatic.
"I'm so looking forward to working with you all!" Ingrid could not wait to get the fun started.

Taichi rested his cheek onto his left fist as he watched the villain chat. Quite a bit of interest in his scheme, though the chat itself wasn't going very quickly. He distracted himself by going over the notes he had made once more, the infiltration plan followed by the assault plan to prove how frail Yomi truly was.
A prison build by ASTA corp to hold the worlds strongest quirkers... He honestly didn't get why Ishtar worked both sides of the coin as she did, but breaking out Thunder would only serve to help her out in the end... so he deigned himself to give it everything he had. Surely, Yomi could be used to their benefit in the future.
A sound coming from the front door of the restaurant broke his attention away from his phone at that moment, his eyes shifting up to see who was the first of these villains to arrive. The first to walk in without a work was a red headed woman carrying a bag on her back. She seemed curious as she looked at him and his eyes lazily swept across her. His eyes then landed on the second arrival... a rather young looking girl carrying a couple of brief cases. He raised an eyebrow at the site of her but kept his mouth shut for the time being. What was a kid like this doing playing villain? Would she truly be any help to their endeavor? With everything she was carrying, he assumed she was the tek oriented user from the chat, though he never imagined her to be so young.
He could hear Julen snicker behind him, causing Taichi to roll his eyes before he would put his phone away and tuck it into his pocket before addressing the two girls in front of him.
"Welcome to our underground city, if you haven't already been. My name is Taichi Kobayashi, please, sit, relax. Grab a drink while we wait for the others to arrive." He stated with a motion of his hand towards the chairs and tables set up nearby. He'd hoped for more than 2 people to arrive, but he supposed he should start here and see where the evening took him.
That's when the little girl introduced herself, and as he had expected she was indeed the Tek oriented user from the chat. Interesting... she must be quite smart for her age if she was already dealing in this sort of affair.
"A pleasure to meet you Fili, I wonder, what kind of toys did you bring for this endeavor? Best to know the best place to situate you going in. "

When one of Thunder’s apparent associates, or perhaps a member of his family was making a call to arms to help break him out of prison, Marceline had been initially receptive to the concept. Such was her playful, helpful persona that she presented on the villain chats, but in the end it was truly something she had to consider. She was hardly someone who wanted to be in the hot seat as the top villain around or anything of the sort, but, with so many big villains disappearing off the scene, from Sonya to even that Niso fellow becoming oddly quiet, it was a cause of concern that she might soon be the next big target. She tried to stay quiet, keep her business effective yet subtle as it should be… but with the amount of money she was planning to launder through her soon to be built casino… things could certainly escalate fast.
On the other hand, while unleashing Thunder to the world would act as a brilliant smoke screen to her operations, playing a part in his break out would put a target on her back, and beyond that, did she want him back out? She’d heard rumors he dealt in drug and sex trafficking, even a slave trade of sorts. Perhaps all just rumors but very chaotic businesses to say the least. Lots more money she could offer to launder… but also a very risky business to even be tangentially associated with…
oooo… but she couldn’t miss out now, could she?~ It was too good an opportunity to let past and she was sure she could find ways to maintain distance while still reaping the benefits of such a powerful associate owing her a favour or two. In part, that was why she had taken the approach she had today. Marcie, with her associate Sam, had each donned a disguise. Her clothes were rather natural, a casually worn set of office attire, a blouse with the sleeves rolled up, a few buttons undone, loosely tucked in and a nice fitting pencil skirt with light cuts up the side for freedom of movement. Sam dressed much more formally in a full suit and tie with a full face opera mask to hide her facial features like a true distinct bodyguard.
Of course, when Marcie was involved, that was nowhere near where the disguise ended. For Marcie herself she was donning the disguise of cat. Her long green hair replaced by a slightly less silky, but no less lustrous main of white, two feline ears that shifted and swayed with subtle motions, feline eyes and fangs in her teeth. There were other subtle changes, like paler skin and a slightly fuller figure, enough that no one could mistake her for ‘Marceline’ at a glance. As for Sam, to keep the disguise simple she had simply extended the girl’s hair with extensions, and turned it a deep blue. The two should easily pass for entirely separate individuals, especially to a crowd who didn’t know them so well.
Even Kado might be oblivious to who was in attendance. Afterall, Marcie had been making a point of disguising Sam as herself or one of her alter egos at times. It became even harder to tell who was who when you constantly saw mis-matched faces sharing a room.
“Meeeeeow toooooo-Nyah~” Following in just after the girl villain before her, Cat’s persona followed a rather upbeat tone, waving her arms above her head as she entered, Sam remaining silent at her side, examining the others in attendance. Powerful quirks meant she’d likely be of little use if a brawl broke out… but he job would always be to just get Marceline out of a situation alive.
With a twirl and a bow, her ears flicking forward with the dramatic motion, she flicked her free arm out to her side as she kept her head lowered. “Miss Mystrem sends her apologies she can not be in attendance, but she hopes I will be the purrrrfect proxy.~” She rose to a stand, her figure ‘bouncing’ a little as it settled, gesturing to the blue heard guard at her side. “My nyame is cat, and this handsome little bodyguard is…” She paused, she hadn’t actually came up with a name for her, but it easily came off as some playful ditziness with her act. “Hmmm… what was it agaaaaain…?~”
“Kaiyo Ma’am.” They spoke firmly, voice muffled by their mask.
“Aaaah yes. Kaiyo. I hope you don’t mind the extra company, Miss Mystrem just likes to make sure her employees are well looked after. Hope we're not too late, Nya?~”
(Marceline is in disguise as Cat, think black hanekawa in casually worn office attire. Sam is her bodyguard companion, no chosen FC, a black suit and tie, arms behind back, full face opera mask as a disguise, and long deep blue hair.)

Post by Shizuka Sora on Dec 21, 2020 23:41:39 GMT -4
To progress in this world of heroes and villains, one person needs three things in order to succeed. A person needs luck to gain opportunities, skill to grasp those opportunities and make the most out of them, and drive to actually do anything, Unfortunately, opportunity and drive were things that was scarce to Sora right now. She sat in the corner of her cheap room that she was renting in, lazily scrolling through forums and uTube videos. “Hmmm...hm?” She pulls herself up from her lazed louching and straightens her back against the wall as she read a message that was posted on a chatroom that she sometimes lurked in.
<<Last chance to get your name in for one hell of a party. We're breaking Thundershock out in 24hrs, meet me at the Crimson Dragon in ASAP, or miss out. >>
She rested against the wall as she processed the message in her mind before gently closing her laptop, setting it aside, and standing up and changing into work attire. She left her room wearing a heavily modified black dress coat, altered for easier movement, black leggins, black boots, black cap, black gloves, and black scarf around her neck. To conceal her face, she has on a faceless white mask with round holes big enough for her eyes.
It took her a bit a bit to find the Crimson Dragon, especially since she rarely visited the underground city for anything. With her heart beating nervously in her chest she pushed the doors of the restaurant open and entered. She looked around the restaurant, looking at teach person present before nodding. “Well at least manpower isn’t looking scarce.” She commented. “I usually keep to myself so let’s see what this crew will get up to.” She stepped forward and took a bow. “I go by Armory, do keep out of the line of fire for what you need of me, I expect a reasonable compensation for my services, favors are not accepted.”

Two more arrivals to the meeting and Taichi would finally straighten himself in his chair, using his arms to shift himself up to a more normal way of sitting. He looked at the two new arrivals with a nod of his head and the faintest of smiles. The first to speak was a young girl with feline like features.. and a cat like way of talking... she was all kinds of bubbly and cheery and it was quite off putting to the Yakuza heir. He chose to say nothing for the moment before turning his head to the second arrival. Thankfully, this one seemed more normal than the first and introduced herself as Armory.
So thus far, Taichi found himself faced with 4 woman. Red-head, Fili, Cat and Armory. None of them seemed quite... normal to him, but what the hell was he expecting in an age of quirkers? However, not only was he put off because of how weird they seemed to all be... but they were all women. For Thundershock, not a problem. For the innocent in that battlefield, Taichi found his heart was starting to race just a tad bit quicker.
He kept that bit of uncomfortable information to himself as he chose to finally stand up, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he rose to address those gathered in front of him.
"I want to start by thanking each of you ladies for answering my call and coming to meet me here this evening. First, I want to assure you that the Kobayashi clan does in fact have the necessary manpower to break my father out of this prison on it's own. However, that would stretch us rather thin and open more opportunities for mistakes, making it easier for the Pro heroes who will no doubt get involved, to destroy my family.
That is why I've asked for your help. With powerful quirkers such as yourself, we can keep the inner workings of the clan secure while we move forward." He explained, his gaze shifting from one of the girls to the next, before eventually landing on Armory.
"Of course, all of you will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts in this mission. Money if of no issue, we are happy to offer 10 million yen to each of you, as well as cover the costs of any materials needed or used on this mission." Taichi stated non-chalantly as he boasted the handsome reward for their troubles. Of course, he wasn't used to the types of deals his father made, so he wasn't sure if he was low balling the reward or extremely exaggerating it.
"If there is anything anyone here wants to say, lets get the pleasantries out of the way. Otherwise, if you'll permit me to get into the details of our plan."

That makes two. Two jobs that Jun has so far accepted from the villains only chatroom. He himself had grown to appreciate the apparent security of the chat. After all if the police could track them through it then they would have already. But even so, it was strange from someone so high profile to utilize its recruitment potential. He supposed even big shots needed to outsource from time to time. It mattered little. This was an important opportunity to witness something grand. The outbreak of one of the most notorious villains of Japan. That alone was almost payment enough. Almost. Jun didn't often make his way to the underground city. At a glance it seemed a place rife with opportunity for someone as him. But it being entirely Kobayashi territory posed some issues. While they might tolerate low level operations and probably took their cut. If one became big enough that would put one in direct competition which would mean either you get assimilated or destroyed. But an underdog's conflict with a major power in the criminal underworld did have its appeal. Enough so that Jun almost considered going for it anyway. Almost. Coming upon the Crimson Dragon Inn, the effeminate young man burst open the door, catching the strapping black haired gentleman in the middle of his last sentence. "My, and here I thought I might be running late. Looks like I'm just in time." Jun gave a warm, if somewhat insincere smile. He dressed in a purple jacket over a shirt striped horizontally with various shades of pink and grey, a black ruffled skirt and over-the-knee boots with socks of light purple poking up from under them. Finally, atop his head sat a black, fluffy hat. Jun strode in, scanning those already present, making note of the lopsided gender ratio. One he recognized from the meeting she held, representing one Mystrem. The others he was not even remotely acquainted with. "A pleasure to see you all. Always a delight to meet new people." Jun said in his soft, delicate voice as he strode over to the bar. "Clifford, my big red dog should be here any minute now. But by all means, don't tarry any longer than you must." He hadn't been here for when drinks were offered and yet he helped himself all the same, reaching for a bottle of a sugary, orange flavored vodka beverage which he daintily sipped. "I'm Eldritch by the way, for those familiar with the villain chat handle. Call me that or Jun, whichever you prefer."(Jun's outfit)

Post by Nakamura Rei on Dec 26, 2020 19:26:43 GMT -4
Rei had seen Thundershock fight once, and for the supposed most powerful villain in Japan she hadn't been super impressed with his abilities. He had raw power, to be sure, but she'd found the use of it to be...underwhelming. Still, he had the reputation as the strongest even now, and his gratitude for this job could potentially open a few doors. Not to mention the reputation that could come from being one of the ones that helped break the man out of prison. There was also the promise of rewards as well, and much of her career as a villain had been done primarily for profit, the large woman having no real burning goal of her own that lead her to the criminal underworld, merely an atypical morality that meant she was quite capable of working within the society.
With all that in mind she made her way through the underground, her every step surprisingly quiet for someone quite as large as she was, though the crowds parted for her as she walked, like the parting of the sea, very few of the 'regular' denizens wanted to get in the path of someone who looked like her. Even with her skin currently the nut-brown she had been born with, her sheer size and clear musculature put many off the idea of approaching. A casual glance in the direction of a particularly brave pickpocket had the youth disappearing back into the crowd before they got too close.
Checking her phone briefly to make sure she wasn't too late, Rei approached the Crimson Dragon Inn and stalked through its halls in time to catch the introduction of Jun in the room beyond the door. She slid the door open quietly and casually planted a booted foot right against the much smaller villain's lower back, the size disparity meaning that the foot covered nearly the entirety of the other's back. "Dog eh? Perhaps this dog should bite to teach you some respect, ne?" she rumbled, putting the foot back down instead of kicking the small figure across the room like she almost did.
Clad in a biker's outfit of denim jeans, heavy leather boots, fingerless gloves and a leather jacket that exposed her heavily muscled midriff, Rei looked every inch a dangerous delinquent. Scanning those present, the large woman gave a casual nod of her head rather than the more formal bow that she had been raised to use. "Name's Yojimbo, or Red if you've seen me in the chatroom" she declared, taking out a hip flask and swigging from it before coming to stand by the table. She didn't sit, unsure if the chairs would be able to hold her weight, one of the many issues that she faced being as large as she was.
"Let's hear what you've got in mind."

"Of course, all of you will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts in this mission. Money if of no issue, we are happy to offer 10 million yen to each of you, as well as cover the costs of any materials needed or used on this mission."
Sora heard those words and mentally choked. Her mask hid it well but her face had frozen as she processed the amount in her head. ‘I don’t know what I can do with that money, but I do know that that’s a lot of money!’. Her head was filled with thoughts on what to do with the cash. Maybe finally move out of the cheap room she was renting to something of a higher quality. Invest in businesses and actually earn some money legitimately. Maybe start her own company. A lot could be done with that amount of money in her pocket.
Finally she cleared her head. “Each, he said each right? I heard each.” She pulled up a chair and took a seat, taking a second to get first impressions of the current crew, even the two new arrivals. She stopped doing that after a few seconds, realizing all that she was really getting off of them was their hair colors. Still, the more people with unique skills on the job, the more coverage and higher chance for success there is. Plus, she wasn’t going to be sharing her reward, so it was a big plus.
“I’ve really got nothing else to say. To the newcomer’s here, hi I’m Armory, now take a seat and let’s get this show on the road.” She said, trying to usher the two into taking a seat so the meeting could get to the good, money earning parts already. She leaned back into her seat and looked at their organizer expectantly. “Aight, take it away mister boss man.”

@ all y'all | ◀ | Prezioso fascio di gioia ❤ Ingrid grinned widely upon hearing the guy's question, as though she were excitedly showing off her science project. Well in a sense she was, just not in a school environment. "Oh, just a couple of things. Weapons, armor, gadgets, plenty of tech that will no doubt come in handy for the mission." Ingrid would be more than happy to open her briefcases, show off everything she had to offer, and make lengthy explanations on the functions of each and every single piece of tech the Italian girl had brought. However, it was unlikely that there would be too much time to go over every single detail now, especially with the meeting bound to begin so soon. Besides, not everyone had arrived yet, so Ingrid was not in the mood to fully explain everything until everyone was here.
Sure enough though, more and more began to arrive. First up was what appeared to be a cat lady and her masked bodyguard. Ingrid giggled quietly. This lady is funny! She would get a wave from Ingrid, as well as a cheery smile. "Nice to meetcha, Cat-san! Glad to have ya on the team." Next was a masked individual wearing all black. Not as upbeat as the cat lady, this one seemed to be strictly business. Ingrid waved to this one as well. "Howdy, Armory! Looking forward to working with ya."
For now, that seemed to be everyone, so Ingrid just began to pay attention to the Kobayashi guy, doing her best not to space out like the girl tended to do. This was an important mission, not school. Thus, she needed to behave and actually try to listen and be polite and stuff. Take mental notes of things if necessary. So the Kobayashi did have the manpower to tackle this operation without the help, but having help seemed to be far more convenient. And it was good to see that everyone's efforts would be rewarded handsomely with... Oh wow! Ingrid thought to herself. That is a looooooooot of money, hot damn! Easily enough to complete my Project and then some! The girl's eyes widened a bit. Not that she wasn't already interested before, but now Ingrid had even more incentive to do her absolute best.
But it seemed as though there were more people arriving than Ingrid initially thought. Two more villains had shown up. Ingrid smiled warmly, as though greeting friends. Then again, villains tended to be more interesting to interact with than most of the girl's actual friends. Perhaps that was why Ingrid's smile was genuine and not faked. "Yo, welcome to the party, you two! Glad you can join us in time."
For now, Ingrid had no questions for the Kobayashi guy. So unless there were going to be any more newcomers, or anyone addressed Ingrid specifically, the girl would be quiet, ready to listen to the man speak. She looked forward to seeing just what he had in mind. There was no doubt that this whole operation would be one memorable ride.

Taking in those around her Cat was definitely intrigued by the collection of individuals. Heroes could be diverse, sure, but the elements of villains seemed to be so much more so. Those with strength and rage fueling their decisions, those quirky and cute, and even those a little too serious for their own good in her opinion. Of course, she was hardly in a position to judge. Any single day she could wear any number of the faces around her, so to speak. She could be a skilled business woman, she could be the quirky Cat, or she could even wear the face of her assistant Sam and take on a far more serious persona, whatever the case may be she was glad to be surrounded by such an interesting cast, even flashing a bright smile to the girl who addressed her. "Just Car is fine dear, but I certainly don't mind if you feel more comfortable adding the San.~" She flashed a sly little wink and meant nothing more of it. You could almost feel her bodyguard roll their eyes behind her mask, Cat herself moving to take a seat and listening to the terms of the arrangement. Now... ten Million yen could go a long way, but for a woman like her it wasn't really something she had much interest in. While her funds were a little low with so much money invested in the Casino she was building, such a pittance would be no object once it started making a profit. Between her still existing Cafe chain and her criminal activities laundering money and selling fake art and artifacts, such a trivial amount almost felt insulting. Of course, she didn't let this show, especially through her bubbly Cat persona. "If I may, speaking on behalf of Miss Mystrem I would like to decline the offer." She bowed her head, trying to show she meant no disrespect before lifting it again. "She has little interest of money. Her operation earns her plenty enough as is. We would much prefer a chance to talk to Thundershock once he has been rescued and returned to power. An alliance with such an individual would be very rewarding for both our organiazations, we would like to believe." She dipped her head again. "Of course, we know you can not make promises on behalf of him. Just know we wave our right to a financial reward so long as he is open to meeting with Mystrem Purrrrsonally~" Beyond that however, she had no thoughts. She was ready to offer her talents as best she could to rescuing Thundershock. She wasn't entirely sure if his freedom would be better for her or worse... but for now at least, she was happy to see how things went. Much like her investment in a Casino of all things, she was nothing if not a risk taker, and she was more than eager to just lend herself to the excitement of a prison break of all things. "By all means though, do continue.~" Marceline's current disguise (Cat)
