Eli looked at the letter in his hand, his hands shaking as his eyes skimmed through the letter.
Dear son,
Hey it's your mom with some...information that you should know. For starters, I want you to know that me, your father, and your brother love you very much. That being said, I have a quirk. I never mentioned it for the fear of a divorce. I figured now was probably the best time. My quirk involves some form of metal armor going around my body. No idea how your quirk came to what it is now, because in truth your father is known as the famous villain Thunder Shock. So somehow, electricity and my armor created your diamonds. I'm sorry for everything honey, I love you.
He took a deep breath. "I have to go see him." He said as he walked out the door of his room.
The prison guards were pretty nice all things considered, but Eli had too much on his mind to thank them. Why now? Right before the holidays? He couldn't even comprehend it. As he approached his fathers cell, he spoke. "Hello Thunder..." This was gonna be one of the weirdest conversations in his life.

Prison this time around was much, much more comfortable for Thundershock compared to the time he had been detained by the anti quirkers of the military. back then they had him in shackles that syphoned his electrical power, even when he wasn't actively using it. All to fuel a rail gun that would later be used against other quirkers. This time however, Thunder was actually locked in what looked like an elegant white room. Instead of bars, the front was a solid pane of glass reinforced with a faraday cage. Other then that, Thunder was allowed to walk freely inside, no shackles, no guards. Just a man alone with his thoughts. At least, that's what the guards believed.
That was probably the reason that they allowed this boy to so freely walk into the prison and show him to Thundershock's cell. It was interesting, as most those that tried to come and see him were reporters, some of him undercover agents, Pro heroes trying to get some form of information from him. But never a child.
Thundershock was leaning back on the bed provided to him, arms behind his head as he rested, staring at the ceiling with a rather bored expression on his face. Even when Eli arrived with such a lame greeting, the man only graced him with the slight movement of his eyes to acknowledge his presence, before looking back up to the ceiling in silence.

Thunder seemed...fairly relaxed for someone serving time in prison. No shackles held him down, no guards, just a man in a room. The room was white, with no bars to hold him inside, just a reinforced layer of glass. That was all that held this man from Eli. Or the other way around. Eli wasn't particularly scared of the blonde man, but he did have this...feeling. Whether it was intimidation, fear, or what he wasn't really sure. All he knew was that this was, apparently, his father. How could life be so cruel?
The fact that the guards had even let Eli in, being a UA student and a teenager, wasn't too surprising for the blonde boy. Even if it was Thunder. He figured most of the people that came here weren't student. Pro heroes and police officers sure, but not a teenager. That's why he wasn't too shocked that Thunder didn't have much of a reaction, just a slight acknowledgement of his presence. He was leaning back on the bed he'd been given for his stay at this prison, arms rested behind his head, while he stared at the ceiling looking pretty bored. Understandable given his current circumstance.
"Do you remember Melissa Bantis, her maiden name may have been Dougan at the time." He asked, saying his mothers name. "I'm not sure how but the two of you are my parents. Your quirk plus hers somehow equaled this." He said revealing a diamond he had created, but not giving any details on how. "I know you probably don't care, and if you do it'd be for some villainous scheme, but you should know your child is a student at UA, and I'll right every wrong you've done." He declared to his father, wondering what his next words would be.

'Do you remember Melissa Bantis?' Thundershock raised an eyebrow as he honestly had never heard the name before. At least, this woman hadn't made enough of an impression on him for him to remember her. He still didn't respond to Eli, remaining where he was as if he was ignoring every word that came out of Eli's mouth. However, When Eli corrected the woman's last name to Dougan, the older man's head shifted. He looked towards the glass separating him from the boy on the other side and was soon paying attention to every word coming out of his mouth.
The boy claimed to be his offspring, but Thunder knew for a fact that he had never gotten Melissa pregnant back then. The girl had been interesting enough to a younger Thundershock, but when their relations failed to bear fruit, any interest he had in her faded and he had swiftly moved onto another interest. If what this boy said was true, then Melissa had hidden her pregnancy from him, hidden the boy's birth from him as well. For a moment, Thunder's eye darkened as he let out a sigh and pushed himself up to that he was sitting down, turning to be at the edge of his bed.
"Listen brat. I've got more offspring then I can count. If you expected this kind of confession to rattle me, you're gravely misinformed." He said simply, though his words were cut short as Eli told him about being a student at U.A, and how he was going to put a stop to everything he had build. Thundershock could only scoff at that statement, laughter bursting forth as he pushed himself to his fee t. Thunder would then walk over the glass separating himself and the young blond boy, a vicious grin on his face as he looked down at the boy who claimed to be his son.
"You really are a foolish child aren't you? U.A only stands because I allow to. Besides, many of my bastards have attended U.A. In fact, I'm sure you've become so buddy buddy with at least one of them. And let me reassure you, that they don't all share your views. Go on, portray your bravado boy, but if you truly are my son, then there is a great darkness in you. You might not see it now, but once you grow up big enough to not need a babysitter anymore, you'll see it~ My work won't look so appalling to you then~" He reassured him with a cruel smile on his face. He wasn't sure he believed this kid in the first place. What did he have to gain from coming here and telling him that the boy was his son? Was he just out to seek confirmation that this was the truth? Well, Thunder couldn't provide it from here. Only a DNA test would prove Eli's claim.

Thunder was way less intimidating than Eli had initially thought he would be, which was hopefully a good thing. He noticed the mans head shift at Eli correcting his mothers name, 'So he did know her.' He thought to himself. He then seemed to be listening intently to every word Eli spoke. Eli started wondering what his mom could've possibly seen in a guy like this, his mom generally doesn't have a thing for 'bad boys' assuming he was still just as villainous when the two had met.
It was clear to Eli that Thunder had no idea of his existence, but that didn't make any of this shitstorm any better. Behind the thick glass caging the villain, the mans eyes got noticeably darker as he sighed and stood up, arriving at the edge of his bed. He then let out some statement about confessions and whatnot, and how misinformed Eli was. He then let out a burst of laughter as Eli mentioned destroying everything the man had built. Proceeding to walk over to the glass separating the two.
He then said something about Eli being a foolish child, needing a babysitter, and some darkness in the boy. Eli didn't really care anymore though, he had said what he wanted to so there was very little reason for him to be here, other than to spite his father. He went to sit on a nearby bench, close enough to hear his father and speak to him. "And where do you think I got that foolishness from? Sure my mom was a fool for ever getting with you but at least she's not the one in prison right now. As far as needing a babysitter, I don't see one here unless you count? And for that matter you've gone from one of the most notorious villains to a lowly babysitter, what's that say about you? As for the darkness in me, I'm very well aware of it's presence, however I'll beat that darkness just like I'll beat you if you ever get out of here, and you're work as you call it, will never appeal to me. So with that, I think our conversation here is over. Good bye Thunder, if I see you again it will be too soon." Eli said, walking out of the chamber and thanking the officer for the time he gave him. He then proceeded to walk in the direction of UA, he had some stuff to do after all.
