Camryn is an about average-sized girl in height, standing at 161 cm, or about 5 ft 3 in. She's relatively slim and thin, but not too much so. She has a distinct dark red hair color. Her hair is very short, being cut in a bob-style, and her forehead is completely covered by her bangs. Her skin is very light and pale, and though she has no distinct scars on her body, Camryn does have light freckles on her face. Specifically, they are across the bridge of her nose and the upper part of her cheeks. Her eyes are normally olive green in color, but her eye color changes to gray whenever Camryn's quirk is active.
Typically, Camryn prefers to stick to her usual favorite outfit whenever possible. It consists of a white school uniform shirt with an olive green school jumper, a plaid white-and-orange tie knotted around her shirt's collar, knee-high socks that's usually a dark color like black or gray, and shoes that match her socks' color. HISTORY
There are plenty of individuals whose backstories begin with a tale of wonder, excitement, or perhaps despair and pain. An extraordinary origin of an extraordinary person. This... is not one of those stories. There is nothing spectacular or horrid about the circumstances of the birth of Camryn Akime. She was just born in an ordinary hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She had an ordinary Japanese mom and American dad, and she lived an ordinary childhood. Her school, her home life, her friends, all perfectly normal. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Of course, Camryn herself turned out to be more than ordinary. At the age of 5, the girl discovered her quirk by accident one day in class. Without thinking about it, she somehow made several short black cylinders appear on her arm. Upon showing her parents once she got home, they saw that the black cylinders were actually camera lenses. As it turned out, Camryn was like a living camera. As she got older, Camryn would develop her abilities further and learn how to take pictures, produce a flash, and even print out images! How bizarre! As both of her parents were quirkless, this certainly came as a surprise. However, this would do nothing to change their opinion of their daughter. They still loved her just the same.
Unfortunately, Camryn's parents could not say the same about each other. Their relationship was gradually becoming more and more rocky as time passed. Camryn's father was lazy and was drunk quite often, while her mother was overly critical and complained a lot. Arguments and fights often broke out between the two, and though they did their best to hide this from their daughter, Camryn overheard the fights and became saddened by the fact that her mom and dad were drifting apart. Still, despite their marriage falling apart miserably, Camryn's parents did their best to help and support their daughter. Even if they could no longer stand each other, they wanted to at least try to stay and work together to keep their precious child happy.
Sadly, that would not last very long. When Camryn turned 10, her parents filed for divorce and went their separate ways. The girl's mother took her daughter and moved back to Japan to start a new life. Camryn was sad by everything that would be left behind. Her dad, her old friends, her favorite places to visit, all gone now. If not for the stories her mom told her and the images the lady took (she was a photographer), Camryn would have felt completely lost and isolated in a foreign land.
However, the girl began to gradually warm up to her mother's home country. Camryn made new friends at her new school, and her mother took her out for some sightseeing to take images of all the wondrous sights Japan had to offer. Speaking of images, Camryn would soon express interest in following in her mother's footsteps and focus on becoming a photographer. Taking pictures was fun, and she loved seeing the warm smiles of the people whose photos she took (with their permission, of course). The girl loved to make and experience fond memories, and she loved to record those memories for posterity even more. Thus, photography seemed like a perfect goal to aspire towards.
While Camryn may not have led a fascinating life or have big dreams to change the world, she is content with where she is. Working hard, studying hard, and passionately chasing her dreams. But is that all there is to her life? Will she be able to make new happy memories and make her dreams come true? Or will life send a curve ball her way? The path to her future is long and winding, with the destination obscured in uncertainty. Anything could happen. But regardless of what life throws her way, Camryn is ready to walk forward one step at a time. And capture every wondrous moment as she does so.
