How fast was the time going? It felt like only yesterday that they had been on a holiday in Mexico and she was now already walking around, being totally confused about what she was doing, when she was doing it and how she was not falling asleep while balancing everything at the same time. It was a miracle she had gotten time off but she was doing pretty great. She had visited her father's grave on the day of the anniversary and she had not cried, okay maybe one single tear but not cried too much. She had gone alone and she was rather satisfied with herself, she was doing okay. She was happy, she was being a good hero, pretty good girlfriend if she was allowed to say so herself and she was very satisfied with her new job as a homeroom teacher, which gave her a little more air to breath since she was giving and biology classes and first aid classes and running the infirmary, nope just one class a week, and every day in the morning for announcements and so on. She was doing pretty well. Though that did not mean she wasn't overworking herself, now that she felt reenergized she was also going to make use of that opportunity to arrange invitations for her students that came to intern with her or were her apprentice. But when she was making the list of outings and scheduling them all in her agenda... it felt like she had days too short because what... when did this all happen? Surely it was flattering but she needed to spend individual time to everyone as well so they would dare to open up and did not feel that they were having to speak in front of others and so on. She was making matters very difficult for herself, was she not? She had been puzzling, struggling and actually distractingly texted Giovanni instead of actually planning it that she forgot to take her lunch break.
Which was why, when she arrived downstairs, everyone was already gone. That's what happened when you spend most of your hours in the infirmary instead of in the teachers' lounge. Hm, she could sit here, on her own or she could see if the weather allowed it for her to take a small walk around the perimeters. She would grab her coat, shrug it on and take her sandwich and manage to wrap it a little in the foil she was using and managed to use it balanced to eat and walk. Hm, you should enjoy moments of this weather, before it would become too cold and so on. She noticed some students on her way and that was nice, glad to see they seemed to be okay with all the heavy load of the summer and that it was time for a change. Nimue smiled being quite content with herself, soon enough she would be able to see Giovanni again, god the midweek issues were horrible, she wanted to see him and that's why she felt like she was texting him too much and distracted at work by thinking about him. You would think that after a year it would be less, considering the biology and the idea of the pink-glasses, the lovey-dovey romance period was mostly three months and then you would settle in. But he asked her to marry him, eventually sure sure, but they talked about kids and he came over from Monday to Tuesday and she would be there from Friday to Sunday and Kuro would come along and everything seemed so perfect... Except for Wednesday and Thursday when she did not see him.
She stopped walking and stopped staring at the sky before she bumped into someone when she saw a lanky blond guy who she did not know. Well that happened more often but did he walk funny?
