❝ request accepted by: taiyo 'serizawa' honjo! ❞ i like it, Teruko Serizawa . consider taiyo honjo (now taiyo serizawa), a sixteen year old quirk user and one of the 15 orphans rescued, a member of this family. with a big brother persona, taiyo took on all the physical pain that was brought upon them from their abusive household. he has various scars throughout his body he's still somewhat shy about. though one wouldn't know this for he goes out of his way to hide it. taiyo is extremely exuberant. his sheepish grin, like the meaning of his name, was a light for many. he has the ability to don a smile in the face of adversity, be the situation good or bad. such a reason is due to his need to be a hero for those who can't stand up for themselves. taiyo has always admired the heroes in the news, and has even read up on their being a school for people wanting to enter this profession. whenever the younger children were scared or somehow accidentally messed up, he'd step in front of them to take the blame with haste. saying his mantra to calm their nerves, "if you can't believe in me, believe in me!" and donned that damn smile. he was a light for the children, and sometimes that annoyed the older children with his "pretend hero" act. but taiyo never allowed his heart to be swayed, because he had faith they would eventually get out. and he was right. now living with Teruko Serizawa , it's a bit hard to attend school without worrying about the children that have come to live with them. taiyo isn't very great at putting himself first, he also has a tendency to take the brunt of things for others, isn't exactly great at minding his business, and has a lot to learn about leaning on others. externally he appears okay, but internally there's a lot going on. eventually, once he's more comfortable with Teruko Serizawa and has made some friends at the school. i think he'll probably end up having an emotional breakdown in the future. but for now he's ecstatic about what's to come ahead and has a lot of growing to do. also, he would have definitely asked to have had his last name legally changed to mama teruko's surname.
