Character Name: Bishop Atkinson
Affiliation: Civilian/Punk-Ass
Thread Type: Combat/Social
Thread Request: After an accidental train boarding that leads him to leave his brother behind, Bishop ends up in a subway car where a group of visibly well-off people (possibly yakuza?) are trying to shake down someone worse-off for money/tribute/insurance/whatever. Bishop, both hating the rich and having his latent want to help people, decides to try and stop it, first with words, then finally with using his Quirk and throwing aside his ‘be careful, don’t get caught’ methods he’d been using up to this point with public Quirk use.
This is immediately more effective than words, leading to a close-quarters fight between the group and Barghest. He gets more and more reckless, leading to headbutting them out to the main platform at the next stop (through door or window). The fight can continue from there, or the group can cut their losses and leave injured, whichever is preferred by the storyteller! Possibly a reward from the person helped.
So Bishop’s first steps towards heroism are taken, if imperfect, at the cost of him losing his last vestiges of control over Barghest.
NPCs: Well-off jerks (number contingent on storyteller) to generally be jerks and get fought, the one being accosted, possible bystanders? It’s a pretty open idea outside of the story beats, would love to hash out the exacts with the storyteller.
Other Characters: None other than mentions.
Notes: This thread intends to connect to Bishop's final saga thread where Toby gets called in when a Barghest situation escalates. The events in the thread should lead Bishop to fully believe wanton use of his powers is the best thing he can do for the both of them, no matter the consequences. This could be some sort of victory or hard fought tie in combat, anything that would be believable for Bishop to give life his all no matter what and take control of his life by the horns. NPCs may be harmed, but none will be killed, for Bishop does still have a moral code.
