Homeroom teacher covered more than just the half-hour in the morning of announcements. There were also the rescue classes that Nimue provided for her small class and today was their first class after the summer holiday that would mean they would rise and shine early and be prepared for everything that the class would give. She managed to combine the homeroom thirty minutes with the other minutes of the rescue class, it gave them a little more time to work together, have a small break and to get the classroom she wanted. A little technology in the training facilities would not hurt after all. But there were a few more announcements that would be important to share with the students, they should not forget that the midterms were coming rather soon. Sure it was next month but you never know how much some of them had to study or be prepared for the tests. She wanted to make sure that she was not too late and she would rather repeat it for several times than have the issue that her students only knew one week beforehand.
She would wait for everyone to arrive including their new student and new classmate. So when everyone would take their seat and she would make sure to get their attention, "Goodmorning everyone, today we will combine our rescue class and homeroom class so we will go through our announcements rather quickly. Today we welcome Rave Winters, she will be joining you all and will work on becoming a support hero too. Winters-san would you like to say or tell something about yourself?" That could definitely be something nerve-wracking to do but that's why it would work nicely that they would go to class immediately after. She looked around the class, at least they were a small little club, it might be a little easier, she would smile no matter what answer the new student would give. When that was over, she would get the attention back, "I hope you all had a nice summer break and yet I have to warn you guys to pick up studying soon again because next month are the midterms. Hand in your summer homework after class with me, alright?" So without much further ado and the announcements done, she would ask them to gather their stuff and go to the changing rooms in case they had a hero outfit to put those on and be ready to meet her at the gym that the school head. They were going to have rescue class this morning.
At the gym she would offer time for people to do their warming up before explaining the plan.

Post by Rave Winters on Sept 7, 2020 11:43:46 GMT -4
A figure underneath a mountain of plush animals in a dark blue and purple lit room was busy being hyper-focused on the small screen of her switch, mumbling softly as she tried to kill the last boss before failing. The reason for her failure was not her lack of skills but rather the sudden loud beeping of her alarm that sent her into a mild panic. She yelped and fell off her bed due to her fumbling and her switch flew into the air, the screen turning into the failure screen, below it too fell, using her chest as a landing pad. "Owww" Rave groaned as she turned to her alarm, to shut it off below she saw the time and let out another yelp. I'm going to be late. Oh no Oh no Oh no. It's going to be my first day! I can't! Ahhhh During this disastrous inner monologue, Rave scrambled to head to the bathroom to get ready for the day. When she passed by the mirror during her morning routine she realized that she had basically raccoon eyes from staying up the entire night till now playing videogames. I look terrible she disparaged. With a few dabs of concealer, she looks semi alive and not a total neon zombie. After a few more minutes she was finished and heading out the door, sliding on the rails of the stairwell so she could get down faster and headed out the door with a bagel.
Within the halls of Yuuei, Rave followed the student map to find her classroom, trying to avoid any human interaction on the way, trying not to think of class. Unfortunately for her, her journey ended when she came upon the classroom of 1-S. Okay I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. she mentally cheered herself on, trying to ignore the bubbling anxiety in her chest as she pushed the classroom door open. She was greeted with the sight of a green-haired woman. It was the teacher she figured. With a small wave, Rave chose a seat in the back of the class near a corner and tried to not stand out too much, doodling in her notebook. Once the class filled out, Rave hoped that she wouldn't be singled out and she could just seamlessly blend into the background but the reality wasn't so kind. More than a bit startled, she stood up, flumbing around in her pockets until she got a piece of crumble piece of paper she wrote her notes on. "Oh..Um..H-Hi.I'm Winters...um..my quirk is Virtual Reality...and um...I ah...nice to meet everyone" She stammered out the last paper in a bit of a squeak, turning a flaming shade of crimson before sitting down and covering her face with her notebook as she listened to the rest of the teacher speak. For a moment her mind turned to buffer mode. Already!?! It's my first day and we have something physical! I barely know how to get myself to safety much less another person! Where is the tutorial? Who put this on hard mode? I want a restart! Rave continued her inner freak out as she packed up with everyone and headed to the locker room, changing into her athletic clothes. She hadn't clue what to wear so she went with something she felt comfortable in. She dressed in neon green combat boots, black cargo pants with plenty of pockets, a sleeveless white turtleneck, and a pair of non prescription clear blue light resistant glasses then waited outside. She did some light yoga to loosen up her limbs.

Flashback while dreaming Niji was alone in her old house. It was oddly quiet and felt dark and cold. White bedsheets covered the furniture and there was yellow tape everywhere saying "DO NOT CROSS. CRIME SCENE." Crime scene? Everything was covered in dust as though abandon years ago. Niji continued on in the structure she used to call home. She made her way up the staircase, each step creaked, resounding through the empty mansion. Where were Chereka and Jeeves? They were always there, never leaving the mansion uncared for. Something was off about this.
After she made her way to the stairs, she could hear what seem to be an argument coming from her old room. She went over to the door and peeked in. Niji's eyes went wide in horror, knowing the very scene that was unfolding in front of her. A madman standing in front of her father. There were eight girls tied up in the corner, one that Niji recognized- was her nine-year-old self!
The mad doctor looked at Kenshiro, standing next to the tied up girls. Their expression was filled with fear, tears ran down their face. "Don't you dare speak to me as though we are colleagues!" Velo said to Kenshiro. "Your little published theories to the company ruined me. Your research discredited mines. They gave you the grant and now you would get to make your own company!"
Velo laughed like a madman. He was gone. There was no rationalization. Only revenge. "You think you could take everything from me? My research? My position? My life?! NO! I will make you pay!" He pointed to the girls. "I was there for your little concert. So I think I will take everything from you! Just like you did me!" He held up a makeshift trigger for all to see with a red button on it. "I rigged your entire house with bombs. Strong enough to erase and your legacy off the face of this planet!"
Kenshiro looked at the man, holding up his hands. "Please let the girls go. This is between you and me. I can give you whatever you want." The scientist put his hands up to his ears, as though shutting out Kenshiro's words. "SHUT UP! I'M DONE TALKING! GOODBYE KENSHIRO! FOREVER!" Kenshiro looked at the man. He wasn't going to be able to talk him out of this. He looked at his daughter. He knew tonight he was going to die. And her friends wouldn't survive this. He knew that his daughter would have the memory of this forever. Niji's father knew that there was no other option. He couldn't save everyone. But maybe he could save his daughter. He reached out and pressed a button on the young girl's Rainbow core, a device used to control Niji's quirk.
Her quirk activated and provide her with an egg-like, nano shield. It’s thin glass shown with many rainbow-like colors as Niji was able to see everything through it. Her quirk would protect her out of defense. Her father knew this. It was only going to save her. She watched the explosion go off. "DADDY, NO!!" Niji yelled, banging against the shield. The explosion could be heard through her egg-like dome. She couldn’t turn the shield off or extend to help her father and friends. It was only protecting her. She watched as the explosion engulfed her room. The mad scientist with an evil smile…. Her friends’ tears and screams of fear and confusion…
Niji's father head turns towards the door. The flames seem to stop for a second as the father looked at the older version of Niji standing in the doorway. He smiled at her, closing his eyes, accepting his fate. "I am proud of you," he said. "And... I love you." The flames resumed, engulfing everything except the younger and older Niji...End of Dream Niji woke up with a scream, sweat pouring down her face. She was in her dorm room at UA. She had class in the next two hour, but she didn't want to go back to sleep. Not if that was the dream she was going to have again. She pulled in her knees and rocked back and forth on the bed, silently crying. Honey was right. She might have to seek professional help.
School day Niji came into class with a smile on her face. She didn't want to worry anyone with what was going on. She wanted to be there for her classmates and have her head in the game. Speaking of classmates... Nimue-sensei introduced a new classmate. Rave Winters who was also born with a technology quirk, Virtual Reality. That actually sounded really cool. "Nice to meet you," Niji said to the new girl. "I am Niji Uta. I am so happy you are with us." Nimue-sensei continued, saying that the rescue class and the homeroom would be combined today. The students needed to change in their hero outfits and meet in the gym. No problems for Niji. In the locker room, pulled out her little yellow-and-pink chibi penguin, which danced and smiled at her. "Aright," Niji said. "Let's see if you work. This is still a trial run, but this would be the perfect time to test you. Mode Yellow." At the command, the penguin balled up into a little yellow ball. She sang out her transformation command, her core opening a slot for her. "Kiiro no uta,” she sang, dropping the yellow ball into the slot.
The core on her chest slammed in as the heart became yellow in color. Her nanobots raced throughout her body cladding in yellow armor, guantlets, and greaves. ALL SYSTEMS GO appeared on the headpiece. Symphony was ready to rock the stage.

Colt woke up with a grumble as he stretched out the kinks in his body as he yawned. Colt sleepily looks around as he sees the empty dorm room once again. All alone. He should be used to it by now, but he isn't. Colt tiredly blinks as he gets up from the bed and much of the fabrics fell to the floor and Colt couldn't be asked to clean it up, Colt walks over to his nightstand and checks his phone for any messages, none, as always. [break][break] As the emerald-eyed designer walks to his bathroom, there on top of a dresser with many discarded designs which on top a pile of the sketches sat a framed picture of Monty's and his family. And there they were in the front happy-smiling-better, Colt without a word flipped the picture down on the dresser. And he went about his morning before class. [break][break] Colt as always, since summer quietly walked into class without a word, or a nod, to his classmates, he just sat down and looked outside the window, and ignored everybody else as they talked, only listening to the teacher's words once they asked him to leave the classroom to get prepared for the rescue lesson. [break][break] Colt did not attempt to reach out or acknowledge the new girl. Why should he, they are all just going to tell her to ignore him and that Monty's better than him no matter what he says or do. So there's no worth trying to make friends with anybody in his homeroom. And how he treated Amare-1-B is out of the question. Colt quietly follows behinds, everybody, without a sound or making himself known. Nimue told him not to speak to Monty, and as far as he knows everybody here likes Monty, so there's no point in talking to any of them, it'd be a waste of everybody's time anyway. [break][break] Colt put on his new experimental hero suit-its not anything special-tougher than his white and yellow outfit-it kept its lightness and mobility and it looks better with the mostly black attire with yellow accents. And the back had sleeves for his wings to fit in easily so it'd made flying easy while also protecting him more than his last outfit. Colt didn't say anything as he changed and without a word waited for the lesson to start. [attr=class,ooc-notes] [attr=class, tagline] for TAGS HERE some ooc notes can go here! Post by Jin Nakamura on Sept 15, 2020 1:59:31 GMT -4
Summer Holidays are the worst for Jin. The large amount of free time given to students only distracts them from the ever present fact that they have to go back to school in time. Freedom is something that is often illusionary to those who lack any sort of control in their current life. That was Jin over the break as he barely got any work done as he spent most of his time lazing about and tinkering with small side projects. Some trained, some improved themselves, he worked what he was best at and worked at a leisurely pace. Time was liquid and he didn't see a need to stress about the smaller things in life as he enjoyed his weekend.
But alas, it came to end rather quickly as his alarm went off and the realization that he had to go back to class hit him like a truck. That is to assume he forgot to do his work but he luckily did in the downtime. He ain't the class president for no reason and for that he had some extra time to skate to class as he normally does. The usual route was taken and he arrived at the class and he opened the door to see the normal commotion. Well it was the usual commotion plus one as there was another new face in the class.
He heard everything thanks to his quirk and he caught all of it so there was no need for him to catch up. Rave Winters. Interesting quirk, somewhat nervous but that's a given considering this class. “Finally made it on time for a change….Good Mornin”, he said as he walked and took his seat as normally. Looking towards the new girl he put on his best face for the sake of appearances, “Welcome to class 1-S, named Jin Nakamura. Class President”. After that brief introduction, he’d take the time to put on his hero outfit.
Which sounds weird but it was just his normal outfit with a jacket and headphones. The only addition is the utility belt with various drones attached to it that are connected to some goggles. On his side is a case that carries a weapon he kept under the wraps for a bit in the form of a sound cannon he used during the prison break incident. Safe to say he was prepared for today.
He followed behind Nimue to the Gym where he was provided the opportunity to warm up. Jin would hold out his hand and activate his quirk as a low hum of a bass would be heard around him as he adjusted his headphones to the volume. It was time for Feedback to show his skills on the field.

What happened...
[break][break]
Everything in his left felt as though it hit him like a whirl wind and there was very little he could to do control it...like that whole entire mess with the zombies. How did all of his friends hold up during that time, were they okay? As he drifted into class, his eye were glossed over in a haze before making his way into the classroom. It isn't like he didn't care about his old friend and...geeze...kind of sort of ex boyfriend in a way? Things were still a bit confusing on that front, but the fact of the matter is the princely blonde did care about his well-being. They had rules to follow and abide by, though...it was called don't speak to one another.
[break][break]
It felt different from the last time they weren't speaking though since this time, a third party was instructing them not to communicate with one another. Still...there was legitimate concern about how Colt held up, it's not like he stopped caring about him as a person, that'd be messed up. More like...it's weird that suddenly when the jade eyed boy finally felt like being vocal toward him...it was to garner negative attention. Move on, that's all he could do is move on...forward, go forward. Much like in this very moment, he bowed his head toward the new student to offer her a silent greeting. It...seemed like he was doing a bit better without just shutting himself away from feeling anything right now...for now.
[break][break]
Part of him did dread the reminder of a rescue class....what was true and what was false?
[break][break]
Would Colt even want to work alongside him or would this just be a goddamn car crash in slow motion just like the riots? There was only one way to find out, wasn't there? Once they got to the gym, Beaumont would have gone off to get his hero suit on since it's not like he had any fancy transformation tricks, gear up and be ready to roll. This was the very same one Colt helped him make, of course there were some modifications here and there that aided in mobility, which thankfully, Honey-senpai happily helped with to make improve on it. The whole thing was a learning experience since it was, in fact, one of the very first attempts Colt had done at a hero costume. Eventually he'd upgrade it again, but for now it was fine and would do the trick.
[break][break]
So right here and right now?
[break][break]
After changing into his heroic garb, the princely blonde would make his return and patiently await for the lesson to begin, remaining attentive and alert.

Post by Poemu Akechi on Sept 15, 2020 8:49:48 GMT -4
U.A. was... Kinda boring.
That was Poemu's ultimate judgement, rendered upon the school, in the relatively uneventful time that she'd been there. It was, as a whole, without a doubt... "Kinda boring". The girl wasn't entirely what she'd expected, though. Grand adventures? Some bombastic high-school debut? Finding friendship and romance, tackling the world as a young up-and-coming Super Hero? Well... Kind of. But the fact she didn't really feel she'd found any of that... Poemu knew she couldn't really pin on the school. The place wasn't "kinda boring" by any fault of its own. Really, it was Poemu's fault, the more she thought about it...
'I guess I expected this place to change me...'
Maybe it still would. Maybe it never could. Poemu didn't really know, and didn't entirely care. Right now she was just a bit unsure about it all, if she was being entirely honest. But no amount of uncertainty, of self-doubt, or even self-reflection ever seemed to give her any control over all this shit. Instead, she was just being swept along with the waves, as always, without the energy to resist at this point.
With her usual impassive but slightly withdrawn visage, Poemu wandered into class, eyes glancing over her classmates. They didn't change much too, if she was being honest. Weird rich girl. Weird headphones kid. Asshole. Cool princely boy. And... Oh, hey, there was someone new. Fancy that. For a moment, Poemu had the thought to wander over and say hello. But such illusions that she was actually socially competent quickly fled from her mind. Better to focus on the class, right? After all, today's class... Well, Poemu wasn't exactly looking forward to it.
Poemu had joined the Support Studies class for one major reason. Being an actual Hero, the kind that had to fight and run around and do all that physical stuff, sounded like a major pain in the ass. Like, seriously, couldn't she just be the 'girl in the chair' or some shit like that? Yet, here she was, ready to... Do whatever she was going to do...
Well, at least she had other people to carry her. Oh, wait, they almost all either weird, idiots, assholes or - very rarely - actually competent. This was gonna be fun. With a small break, they'd get changed into their "Hero suits", which Poemu didn't really have herself. There was this big, bulky 'tacticool' jacket she'd bought online, and that was about it. Oh, she crammed some adapter cables in there two, at least. Plus an external hard drive with a couple goodies on it, just in case.
With all that ready, she made one last preparation. Poemu would pluck off each of her prosthetic fingertips, placing them somewhere safe nearby. Then, she'd reach over to one of her eyes. She pulled it right out of the socket, polished it on her shirt, and then put the glass eyeball back in its socket, making sure it wasn't going to fall out or anything.
"Alright, let's get this over with..."

They would only go to the gym to change clothing and hero outfits in case that was necessary. She made sure to keep an eye on Rave and see if the new girl was able to keep up and follow the little group. She was glad to see that Jin was on time and smiled at him and was just hoping that the situation in the class was good enough to welcome the new girl. She did on purpose try to not pay too much attention to Beaumont and Colt, like not more than she watched over the others. They would have to prepare to redress and she would wait for them in the training room of the gym where they could first warm-up and such before waiting for her instruction. "We are going to play a sort of game, but I would like you all to take it seriously for the rescue class. We are going to use Fort Slog in a bit, but we do not use it for combat practice, there is a rescue factor to it as well. I want to ask you to use these virtual reality glasses that will help you see the rescue scenario as there is obviously no such situation here but it will show you what is going on while using the Fort Slog building as our scene." like the first floor had a rebuilding of a piece of town, she was going to use that setting. The virtual reality glasses would not change anything to how it looked but they would be able to show for example fire or the people that needed to be rescued, which were simple dolls or mannequins instead of being real people. "There will be three people in the building that you need to rescue, each with their own situation. It is up to you if you want to split up or how to tackle the scenario, there is no explicit timing except that we have to be done when class is over." As they were first years, it was more to bring them in such a situation than actually fit the timing and see what they could do. She also wanted to do it to use any other classes for them, it might be interesting after all.
Now with everything ready, she would hand out the glasses and would instruct them to come along outside to Fort Slog. She would instruct them to start and if they had issues or got accidentally hurt they could call out for her she would be outside to keep an eye on the situation. Outside in this case meant outside the big building in fort slog, she would still be in the building that held every challenge that Fort Slog represented. There was one big building, like an office building and although it was empty when you would walk normally through it, it would have some decoration and so on with the virtual reality glasses. There seemed to be a fire in the top right corner once you put the glasses on and there was no sign of where the victims for their rescue mission were. If the group would arrive in the hallway it would open up in a lobby with a grand staircase in the middle, made out of what looked like glass, there were a few sockets and closed off computers that seemed to been used pretty recent but they were out. The building went quite further into the back with little offices and cafeteria for the people that used to work here. The stairs would end up on a floor with another cafeteria or more like a meeting room and several other offices and a third floor which seemed to be a form of attic, where at the end the fire was brewing. But where was everyone and how would they find them? She would be able to keep an eye on them thanks to Fort Slog's system so she would see what her students would do.

Classroom
A pretty chestnut hair color girl came up to her and introduced herself. "A-ah t-t-thank you" Uta is so cute and nice. Maybe Yuuei won't be so bad.
Everyone got kind of tense when a brown-haired boy came in. Rave wondered was he the school bad boy or something? He is kind of cool. She just hoped he wasn't some sort of bully. She didn't know how to deal with flames IRL. He is sort of cool. At least he didn't go out of his way to mess with me even though it was a bit rude of him not to greet. Or is it odd to get individual greetings? I watched a few retro pre quirk era school animes to figure out how school life is. We have an attractive school teacher. A plain side character aka me. Supportive trendy girl in Uta. Reliable Class President who from his remark, getting early to class is rare.
Another student entered. Prince Type her mind answered. He was rather handsome with golden hair and blue eyes. Her face heats up a little bit. He certainly fits the school pretty boy type. Although he was quite. The warmth that managed to shine from Nakamura and Uta went out the window again. At least he greeted her though however silently. She wondered if social anxiety was more common here than normal. At least she fits in. Rave turns her attention to the final student to enter but alas she did not get their name either. Once the teacher dismissed them to head to the changing rooms, they split up.
Girls Lockerroom
Inside the lockerroom, Rave hid in a corner as she changed, not feeling comfortable enough to show her body to strangers, much less other girls. Everyone here at Yuuei was so cool and pretty. Once changed, Rave couldn't help but notice the absolutely adorable little pink and yellow penguin that came out of her locker. "Oh wow! Is that part of your quirk? You're also tech-focused? The penguin was so cute! Awww~" And just as she expressed her interest, the little penguin transformed! Into a suit! Rave was starstruck. "How did you do that? It's like an anime! Like mecha magical girl. What that your inspiration?" At some point in the lockerroom, Rave shifted her focus to the other girl in the class, wondering if she would do a transformation. H-holy shit! She just took out her eye like it's nothing!?!? Does she not feel that. Her face didn't even flinch. Is. What's with her fingertips. Oh, shit, frump, shitballs, don't stare, don't stare. I'm staring! Rave felt extremely embarrassed and turned away. Not in disgust with the girl but self-loathing for staring. Again! Rave tried not to think of it when they all went outside.
Fort Slog
Rave looked around and realized that nobody is wearing anything overtly fantastical aside from Uta. Rave was wearing comfortable clothes. The unnamed bad boy was wearing black with gold accents. Oh, are those cuts in the back of his shirt. The only reason for those she thought would be extra appendages like arms, tails, tentacles, wings, fins. Lots of things. She turned her attention to Nakamura after hearing suddenly a low base. Nakamura is wearing a jacket, headphones, and a utility belt. She wondered if he a techie too? A utility belt seems pretty helpful. Rave does have lots of pockets in her pants but is a little inconvenient to have her legs weighed down so something around her waist would be quicker to retrieve. Okay, after class to-do list, get a utility belt. Oh and buy batteries. Never know when I need an extra source of power.
Rave returned her attention back to the teacher listening in. When she took the virtual reality glasses, she was extremely impressed. Using VR for gaming and animation and film had become pretty normalized but using it for training purposes was cool. Although this was less Virtual Reality if they were meant to do what the teacher described but rather augmented reality. Still to use something similar to her quirk was fun. Already she was getting tons of ideas. Saving fake people sat with her a lot better than using actual people. Nobody would get hurt either. So she probably wouldn't hurt anyone. Putting the glasses on, she saw how much the world change and became augmented. Awesome! So the building was some sort of office building, fire on the upper floor, speed of spread unknown, cause unknown, separation of rooms unknown, and a number of folks to rescue unknown. Well, she could figure it out as she went. Especially if she could get her hand on a computer or something. Rave went inside, seeing how the glasses brought the building to life with virtual carpeting, lighting, frames, furniture, etc. She walked through the hallway and entered into a lobby with a grand staircase. Rave turned to the others, or at least those who followed and did not already ascend up the stairs. "So one of the benefits of my quirk is that I can take control of most electronics, like computers, security cameras, that stuff. If I get one of the computers working it shouldn't take too long for me to gain access to the cameras or get a blueprint of the building and make a hologram of it. The only issue is communication. Unless the cameras have a microphone, I won't be able to instruct people outside of this room although I can um...digitize myself to that location. If anyone could help me that would be great. What else can people do?" As she spoke, Rave went over to the computers and noticed that the computers weren't damaged. They were simply turned off. Rave looked around and turned on the computers. She quickly saw there was some sort of password which again typical for offices. She didn't have employee login, but she did have her quirk. Rave kept one hand on the keyboard and one on the mouse before channeling her quirk. Shimmers appeared around her and suddenly codes, math equations, symbols, emotes, and other similar things began to appear around her as she glitched a bit. It took a minute or two but with a cheer, she was in. She went to get through to get the camera feed and began checking wherever there were cameras. Hopefully, she saw something.

Fort Slog? She had heard about the building, but this would be the first time she had run through it. She remembered one time where she had to bring her boyfriend, Desmoshi, ice packs for the whole entire day. He had told her that Fort Slog is not a joke. To take everything that spawns in their seriously. He had barely managed to pass with Mizuki and Yang. But at some point, they were going to have to go for a second run. She gulped a little when her sensei described their scenario, preparing her nerves for the harsh environment of the building.
As Niji entered Fort Slog and placed on her virtual glasses, she was amazed at how they got another building inside of another building. Or how much they could fit in here. She was in a hallway of an office building with the rest of the group. This had to be the lobby, with different computers in different places. There was a glass staircase that led to the next floor. Behind the little cubicles was another room, which Niji believed could have been a room they go for their breaks or meeting. She would now once they had the blueprints on the place.
The mission was to find and rescue three civilians before the fire spread, which had to be on one of the upper floors. Putting out the fire might be ideal, but without knowing how big it was and how much had spread, fighting that fire would be a lot more difficult. She shuddered at the idea, more due to her past and fears of how things went for her the last time she crossed fire. But now was not the time. Her teammates needed her. And the building could also be unstable, so using large quirks that could cause the building to shake might also be a bad idea. They needed to be subtle and use their smarts in order to save the civilians.
They managed to find a room with computers, with Rave stating her quirk could give her access to it. "That's cool," Niji said. "If you could access the cameras and get a better view, we can find the three civilians and make sure no one else is trapped in here. My quirk allows me to create high-tech things from nanobots in my body. So I can make something to fight the fire. But I need to know how big it is." She turned to her teammates. "Of course if you guys any other ideas." They were her teammates. If they wanted to do something different, then she was all for it.

Ah...perhaps things would have been better if they did this during is exhibition match, utilizing virtual reality versus what happened with Chimera. The whole thing was baffling and confusing to the princely blonde who looked as though he partook in some sort of fairy tale, complete with a sword-like baton resting upon his hip. Carefully listening to his new classmate's words, he offered a gentle smile, shoving out the complications of how does one act as a hero on the field, but get engulfed in murderous blood lust from the scent of blood. In a way, it was like an effort to comfort himself, the smile he wore in that very moment. Though admittedly...it...felt rude to speak when he damn well knew how Colt was known to handle things...but damn it, he couldn't remain silent when they needed to discuss things.
[break][break]
Would his childhood friend get upset if he spoke for him...?
[break][break]
This was a goddamn catch 22...
[break][break]
....probably...but whatever, he wanted to show that despite everything, he didn't harbor an ill, nasty will toward the healer. So he'd have to be tactful and careful with his words. "Winters-san, I'm Beaumont Favager, but please feel free to call me Monty at your leisure if that's more comfortable for you. I'm the vice president of this class, I'm still getting adjusted to such a responsibility, however, it would be my pleasure to help you get adjusted here to the best of my ability. Lowering his head respectfully, he then continued to speak, "I'll do my best during the exercise to support your endeavors and tactics, however I will highly recommend that if you spot any injured individuals, please consider alerting Colt Agnes, the angelic looking boy. His quirk is focused on healing and will be most beneficial in treating those who are wounded...my quirk is...erm...well...I create malleable metal from my stomach. Though I admittedly avoid using my quirk since it's disgusting to utilize and troublesome, I'm helpful as a tank so to speak, so I'll execute defensive measures to cover you and the others to the best of my ability."
[break][break]
With those calmly spoken words coming to a close, he put the visor on with care and couldn't help but softly laugh for a moment. "Ah...sorry, it's strange that one of the first video games I'll be playing is to aid with a simulation...there is certainly some...irony to that..." Whether or not anyone caught the joke wasn't a concern, but he wasn't good at those anyway. Pluse he was trying to calm his nerves a bit since...wow...he thought Fort Slog would be something that came along in his second year! How interesting all of this was, every day was a new chance to learn, after all!

Colt looks away from his classmates and stares into space, half-listening to the teacher as she spoke about her stupid lesson. Colt let out a small annoyed and dismissive "Tsk-" as Nimue speaks. Colt ignored Nimue as she handed him his glasses, not even reaching for them initially as she handed them out. He would only grab them if she insisted. And he would grab them without looking her in the eye. And after that, Colt followed the witch outside, with his classmates who are all under the witch's spell. [break][break] Colt tries his best to ignore his classmates as they speak, Although the new girl's quirk is interesting if he was honest and he showed a bit of interest before looking away as the others starting speaking. Niji was usually better than the others, she stayed in her lane and didn't bother him too much. But the other student who talked got under his skin what he did. He talked for him to the new girl. And there he shot down any hope of him talking to the new girl. Colt let out an annoyed sigh and activated his quirk wordlessly as a pair of small angelic wings appear from the sleeves on his back. Colt shot Monty and the new girl a dark emerald glare before he started walking into fort slog after putting on his VR glasses. [break][break] Colt didn't care this was reckless or anything, he doesn't care. He has to do it with nobody beside him since nobody likes him enough to tolerate his presence, even their teacher, who's supposed to be an unbiased third party, she was always going to be on Monty's side, no matter what he says or does. So why should he bother being amiable to her if she won't give him a chance? [break][break] He wasn't good enough for her, he wasn't good enough for Monty, he was no good at all. Post by Jin Nakamura on Sept 20, 2020 2:14:02 GMT -4
Jin put on the virtual reality glasses as the UI began to show various objectives across the entire area. He quickly sent out his ball drones as they all began to fly around him as he began to sync the glasses up with his usual interface. His ears could hear everything better as he adjusted their input as he could hear what everyone was saying. Bad habit but it makes his job easier if he knows what everyone is doing to make sure if he can say the right thing. Some exchanges were made between certain students but it was mostly the same idea of saving the civilians
He tapped a few icons on his bracelet as he got a rough layout of the area from everything that was available. A few more taps on the screen were done as the drones began to fly ahead of him as he walked on ahead. Everyone was busy setting up, so he might as well scout ahead. If any debris or danger comes his way, a few blasts of his quirk is all it takes as he just casually strolls in. Passing by several rooms as he makes mental notes as he passes each one, the drones going in his blind spots to scan any corners. They did go very far as they were still being tweaked but it was enough distance to get a good idea on where he was going. He’d take a piece of green spray paint and spray a bit on the left wall to make sure it was the correct path.
But he would soon come to the fire itself where it was brewing and he would attempt to see if he can quell the flames by using his quirk. A frequency low enough can put out a few flames but that was never done in practice until now. He point his finger at the flames as he activated his quirk for a moment to see if the flames seemed to open a way for him. If it worked, then he would open up a path to the upper floors to see if he can find the civilians. But if it doesn't then he’d stick around the area and try and see if there are any structurally weak areas of the ceiling to try and see if he can blast a hole through it.
“Anyone who is free to move on, I require some help with getting to the upper floors….if you want to find me, follow the green trail I left behind.|”

Post by Poemu Akechi on Sept 20, 2020 14:15:37 GMT -4
Yooooo, VR? Now Poemu was actually interested in this class.
She perked up at the mention of these VR glasses, obviously aware of the technology and what it was commonly used for, and as a result was pretty curious about how this shit would work, and what kind of tech the school actually had access to. She'd never gotten to try out VR gaming herself, after all, given lack of funds and a small room, so why not consider this her first test run of it? Putting things in that context gave Poemu a bit more enthusiasm towards the class, cracking her neck and grinning slightly as the situation was outlined.
"Alright, 3 objectives, piece of cake." She uttered quietly. Thinking of it all like a video game really did help her get in the right mindset for this, or so she thought. The girl overheard some of what Beaumont, in his capacity as the class' most approachable individual, said to the new girl, and his mention of being a 'tank' only helped that further. Their teacher guided the students into the are proper, into the so-called 'Fort Slog' Poemu had heard mentioned from time to time. There might be some actual physical danger involved, she knew, but that was what the meatheads around her were for. Poemu was quite happy to content herself with tech support.
Unfortunately, she wasn't sure how her classmates would all manage. The weird headphones kid was, well... He didn't seem all there, and weird rich girl was as subtle as a brick to the head. Monty was cool, new girl was new, and as for their 'healer'... Well, Poemu caught his glare back at the new girl and their vice president, to which she rolled her eyes and chimed in.
"Damn, he's still a bitch, huh?"
With that, Poemu would put the surprisingly comfortable VR glasses on, and in the next instant they'd be 'transported' to the arena for today's lesson. A pretty generic-looking office building. "Not the coolest map, but alright..." The computer nerd muttered to herself. Meanwhile, she noted Beaumont's reaction to the change in scenery, somewhat flabbergasted by his words. "Then play more games, dude." A bit of smugness in her tone, as this one of the very, very, very few times that her habits paid off.
Now that they were in the thick of it, Poemu quickly looked around for someone to... Take the lead. It certainly wasn't going to be her, after all. However, the first thing to actually happen was the new girl explaining her Quirk business - which was probably a better starting point... Though, as she described, a bit of an odd feeling hit Poemu. A kind of... Indignation? Disappointment? As Rave described how she could seize control of electronics, using wording that made it sound so easy, Poemu felt a bit...
Well, she didn't like how it felt. That someone else in their class could do what she did. Which was stupid, she told herself.
Pushing those unpleasant thoughts deep inside, Poemu felt an odd urge to speak up herself, and... Well, did so. "You're probably not gonna just find blueprints sitting around in a file somewhere. But if this is a reception lobby or some shit, there's probs gonna be fire evacuation plans on the computers. Y'know, like images of the ones you see around the place. Don't need any fancy holograms for that, I can just upload it right into here." Poemu said, tapping the side of her head with one of her USB fingers. With that, she'd walk over to the computers with Rave. The other girl began doing... Something... To one of them, which looked like a lot of flashy Quirk stuff.
It would've been easier to just wait til she got in... But Poemu was feeling a bit competitive...
She walked over to one of the other computers and promptly plugged in one of her flashdrive fingers. Obviously, it was password protected, but it was just basic crap. Poemu had the computer read her flashdrive finger as a disk, letting her make use of one of the programs on it from the bootup menu - one that let her simply directly access command prompts to brute force her way into the computer. From there, she just needed to do a bit of searching for some fire evacuation plans, to upload into her own mind...
"So like, uh, what's our plan after we find this shit?" Poemu inquired of her classmates, as she looked for these pseudo-schematics.

Two paths behind the grand staircase and the lobby would bring the boys to the meeting rooms. Jin was trying one, Colt just disappeared into the other. The green spray can of Jin would help it in the dark to find him back, while the four others remained in the lobby to watch Rave and Poemu struggle to find the map of the building. It wasn't that difficult when Poemu pointed out you could use the fire routes, which was what they got their hands on with their combined power. But what would they do with it? They certainly couldn't find the civilians that were stuck on this map, but Nimue would just sit and watch right outside the building. The building was a combination of technology with the glasses they used and the closer Jin got to the fire that was going towards the lower floor, the hotter it felt even for him. She was actually quite impressed by how the boy reacted and went to scout, but it was difficult to get further. Jin would have found the staircase in the back but as it was already looking very hot over there, not entirely ablaze but dangerous, it was maybe best to use the staircase in the front of the lobby where his four other classmates stayed. The little flames that were around the staircase did die out but it was obvious that the metal was already quite hot, what would the boy do? If he looked further around to make a hole in the ceiling, it would start to make a loud crashing noise.
It did not seem at all that the building was stable, might have to do with the actual fire brewing that had hit the back staircase and thus seemed to have spread from the second floor to the first and now was licking on the ceiling of the ground floor. A hole just in the ceiling made a big vibration go through the whole ceiling, even in the lobby and the second hallway and as Nimue watched, she saw some of the ceiling panels drop, two near Jin and four near where Colt was, as he was in the parallel hallway compared to Jin. What would they all do, would they regroup? If Colt felt the need to actually do something in this lesson, he would hear a soft sound coming from his right, in the last room there was a civilian, wounded because god knows what happened and the door was locked from the inside, the man however could not help open it, there must be a way for Colt to help him!
As the fire had spread to the back of the first floor, the group in the lobby could hear a scream, that must be one of their civilians getting into a total panic mood because of the fire, but maybe everyone was stuck, who knows how the first floor looked. Jin's movement up to the ceiling wasn't everything, if someone would reach the first floor it would be clear that there was a lot of debris from the second floor where the fire was raging and it had brought pannels of the ceiling already down, even a support beam here and there. Let's hope it wouldn't reach too much of the electronic socket on the front of the building, because that would mean more fire!
