The last time Jasmine had fought Feng it'd been pretty soon after the wolf had returned to U.A. That fight had been an eye-opening experience for the ages, showing Jasmine exactly how much she had lost in terms of her fighting ability. It hadn't even been her sheer firepower -- it had definitely waned a slight bit but not near enough for her to consider herself weak. No, it was her mind. Her instincts. Her muscle memory. All the experience she had accumulated seemed to have gone to waste.
Her fangs had dulled. The memory itself forced a sigh out of the ashen wolf as she sat on a roof of a decrepit five-story building, her feet dangling off the edge. She stared down at the street below, a thoughtful expression on her face. In her previous encounter with Feng, Jasmine had found herself struggling as a result of how rusty she was and as a result had almost lost. Heck, she herself would never consider the result of that fight a win and it was exactly for this reason this fight felt personal. While what was to come was indeed dedicated to Feng, Jasmine wanted to learn more about herself as well. She wouldn't ever outright admit that to be the reason as to why there weren't any particular gimmicks involved as opposed to the other students' training simulations, but it was. The wolf desired to measure herself. To see how much she'd grown, to deduce exactly how much she changed from their previous bout. That didn't change the facts, though. Despite Jasmine using this fight as a personal measuring stick, she was fully intent on giving her absolute all and then some. The word restraint hadn't registered in her mind; Feng would receive absolutely zero quarter. Even now Jasmine's eyes were practically glowing an ominous crimson as she made the mental preparations to begin this dance, made that much easier by the simple fact that there was a history of personal critique there. Steam had gradually begun to ooze out of the ashen haired lass' skin as the heat around her kept climbing, a visceral aura of pure unadulterated fury and a relentless desire to utterly eradicate her target swirling around her like a hurricane. That is who -- or rather, what -- Feng was going to face this round. An explosive force of nature intent on destroying everything in its path. No pre-planned strategies. No fancy tricks. Nothing. Just a pure showdown where everything was allowed and no mercy would be given.
One knee rose for support as Jasmine continued to sit still atop her perch on the building situated at the very middle of the arena, peering down on the battered street below, in broad daylight. The chosen arena had been the same as it was for everybody else: a post-disaster scene of downtown Tokyo, much smaller in size, yet believable enough to be considered a perfect replica. Anything and everything a city would have was present. Gas stations. Power stations. Parking lots. You name it. It was actually kind of amazing how efficient the Saikyuen staff were at their job. Jasmine made no attempt to try to scan the surrounding area. She made no attempt to move at all, whether Feng would appear in her vision or make her presence known. Instead, the ashen haired wolf closed her eyes and bowed her head. Her mind was sinking into a deep state of concentration and focus, trying to reach that sweet spot she considered her zone. Outwardly, she seemed full of openings. Unfortunately for whoever brave enough to make the first move while she was seemingly unprepared, though, her alertness levels were at an all time high. The wolf just waited, all while silently preparing herself to go to war.

It was a pleasant day today.
The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the wind feels cold yet gentle. But today was nothing compared to such feelings of peace as Feng walked to her appointed meeting place to fight Jazmine. The heroine who made her explosive sentence right before her very eyes in her first year and how much it burned into her memory. A fellow classmate she fought the moment she came back and it ended in her rather….forced victory. She may have barely won against her in a sparring session but this was different.
Documentation and the introductions said that this is a fight to the ‘death’ in all intents and purposes. To build up nerves for when she actually goes up against one anyways. She may have fought one before but she needed more experience if she wanted to properly go toe to toe with one if she ever fought one again. Her expression was rather neutral this time around as she knows what is going on and her usual demeanor was replaced with a more calculated demeanor that examined her surroundings.
She knows that she can take her on directly in a fight as that would be trying to fight a tank with grenades. The best option for a fight like this is to use every single trick she can think of to her advantage so she can get out with minor injury. It was dirty and something that is not Fengs style but she knows her opponent and her opponent knows her. The battle of this scale is less physical and more knowledge based as she doesnt know what else tricks she has up her sleeve compared to hers. To compensate, she needs to get as many cards as possible into her hand so she can gain full control of the battle if she plays them right. Keyword being IF because she doesn't know what Jaz is doing right this moment.
It doesn't help that the battlefield is a disaster plagued version of a city skyline. It was territory she is intimate with as her previous experiences took her all around and about it. But it doesn't mean she can't be careless. Already she began her strategy as she used her skills to quietly sneak into the arena and move in the shadows to find out where Jazmine is. With some searching and using her enhanced vision she saw her perched at the high rise building at the center of the arena. It was the perfect vantage point but she had a few dozen blindspots. Feng used her quirk and skills to sneak her way up the building up to where she was. Hiding behind a wall and catching her breath for a moment, she was ready for what was going to happen for what she was going to do. Her eyes began to glow and her legs began to go hot as she took the opportunity to strike at her from behind as she went for a basic kick aimed at the dead center of her back. As it made contact, no matter the result she would respond with jumping backwards towards the city below to avoid getting a face full of explosives as she simply gestured at Jaz as a way to say hello.

Stealth. Jasmine had forgotten Feng was able to hide herself quite well.
Not a mistake she would repeat again.
Through her sharp instincts Jasmine was able to react at the very last second. When the other girl was just close enough, the wolf felt every single bell inside her skull ring out a cacophony of warning clangs. Bracing herself with her foot against the side of the building, the ashen haired lass twisted sideways, managing to lift up her arm just enough to block the kick. Her sturdy muscles tensed as the attack smashed against her, sending the third year backwards and into the city.
Not before Jasmine countered, swiping her other hand sideways. Her eyes flashed a dangerous crimson as a wave of multiple Mk2 explosions ripped through the roof of the building she previously perched atop, knocking steel and stone high up into the air.
Angling herself in the air to correct her position, the wolf released an explosion at her feet that sent her flying into the air above and into the rubble she'd just razed. She used the airborne debris as cover while her eyes scanned the area in search of Feng. It didn't take long to notice the other lass at the opposite side of the crumbling high rise. Sharp red honed in on her target within a second. Instincts flared. Aggression spiked. Sparks crackled. Fire erupted.
Through the use of another explosion from the soles on her feet, Jasmine sent herself flying directly towards Feng. Arms stretched outwards, releasing a myriad of blasts to get her to begin rotating as her speed kept increasing. Faster. More. Even more. She reached her top speed in less than a few moments, coating herself in fire and chaos as she approached Feng with an Mk2 version of her Artillery Blast. A flaming spear flew directly towards the girl as Jasmine cocked her fist back, intent on slamming the full force of the attack into Feng's stomach to send her crashing into the streets below.

Of course that trick would not work twice on the same opponent like her. Feng of course fell for the bait as she felt Jaz block the kick at full force. She was still sent flying but there was enough time for her to react as the spring legged heroine saw an explosive wave flying towards the ceiling. The initial attack is not what scared her but what it can do as she saw it blast apart the roof they were standing on. A hail of steel and concrete flew high into the air as she saw more explosions in the corner of her eye.
“An explosive reaction I must say”, Feng muttered to herself as her eyes scanned the sky above for a moment for any sign of Jazmine. But standing still is going to leave her wide open for attacks and she is damn well sure she can't afford a full frontal battle against her. At least not right now but she needs to rethink her battle plan since it is becoming more a game of chess than anything else. But unfortunately, she was a tad bit slow on the uptake as she can see Jazmine barreling towards her at explosive speeds. She assumed she can at least block the hit like she always does but then she got even faster as she felt a large amount of pain slam into her stomach. She attempted to activate her quirk to get her feet off the ground so she can at least mitigate some of the damage but it did little to ease the pain. She grit her teeth as her expression shifted into a more serious look as a sign that the fight had actually started.
First was the pain as she blanked out for a moment as she hadn't felt a hit like that in a while but then came the fleeting feeling of falling towards the ground. But it took a second for her to catch herself as she activated her quirk to stop the momentum of the fall. She landed on the ground with little issue barring the massive amount of pain on her stomach.
“Owwww”, she got back up on her feet as she looked around and up above to see where she was. Considering this was a city, there must be about a dozen places to hide and lie in wait. Normally she would take the reckless approach and take her on without delay but considering the circumstances and current situation...she must think more methodically if she wants to get out of this. Her eyes scanned the area above as she caught a small glimpse of Jazmine. She at least knows where she was but now concerns the matter of attacking her since her fire power seems to have improved dramatically since the last time.
Feng took in a deep breath and slowly exhaled as she activated her quirk once again. The surrounding area temperature got a little hotter but it was enough for her to confirm her own limits. She quickly into the shadows of the city and used her speed to get some distance between them. Using her mirage-like skill to throw her off her trail so she can't see her as easily. She cant hope to take her on at full force...so might as well try and make her a slight bit tired blowing the place apart.

Jasmine felt her knuckles ramming against the girl's stomach with explosive results, sending her flying backwards into the street below. Azure eyes narrowed as she herself slowly descended, trying to determine the exact damage that was done. If the momentary stagger that Feng went through was anything to go by the third year reckoned Feng hadn't been prepared for such a quick counter. Hopefully that was enough to show that she wasn't here to play games.
Those very same pale azures narrowed as she watched Feng make a break for it further into the city. The heat around her seemingly rose, making Jasmine question her peripherals. She remembered that one class she had with Feng, Red and Mia. A mirage. The black-gold haired lass hummed to herself. So Feng did actually add that to her arsenal. This may prove to be a little annoying.
Her feet crashed against the pavement below as she landed in a crouch, a seemingly permanent scowl on her face. Strands of hair shadowed her fiery gaze as she walked along the street, dangerous energies crackling around her fingers, primed to release attacks of varying proportions at a moment's notice should the need arise.
"Didn't you say you were going to test your resolve against me, Feng?!" Jasmine called out, her tone of voice cold and unrelenting. "Is hiding behind cheap tricks doing what's right for those in need?!" One singular swipe from her hand released a large Mk2 explosion directly at a small storefront, practically eradicating half of the building. "What if there were people in there, huh?! What?! You gonna wait for me to destroy this entire city before making a move?!"
Despite the taunt and her angry tone, Jasmine was alert. Far too well did she know how adept the girl was at stealth which subsequently should've made her pretty solid at hit and run tactics, which, despite her fast reactions, put Jasmine at a little bit of a disadvantage. She needed to flush her out and fast.
"Come out here, you coward. I'll grind you to dust..." The last words that left her lips came out like a vicious, low snarl. Jasmine was in full on attack mode, and if she needed to actually level this entire place to the ground to flush the purple haired lass out of her hiding spot, she would do it in the most chaotic way possible.

Jaz was playing her role right to a tee as the provocations started to come. Feng was no stranger to this sort considering some of the villains she had dealt in her internships. She moved and dived in all a matter of ways as she hopped up to the edge of a nearby building to see the “villainess” in the distance. Her quirk was still in effect as her visage distorted and moved as she stood with various copies of her in various places. Her eyes glowing as she looked at her with unblinking eyes.
“One. Any good hero worth their salt would have evacuated the entire area before the battle even started. The explosions would have rattled the more stubborn citizens at most.”. She responded in turn as her copies held up different number hands. “Two. Hiding keeps your focus on me and not on the citizens. Buildings can be rebuilt but not human lives.”, another raising her hand in unison. “And three. Why don't you look up?”, Feng says as she looks on from her spot.
The blue haired heroine knows she cant take her on directly because of how big of a power difference is between them. First exchange confirmed her fears the moment her hit made contact. If she doesn't want to end up as a burnt mess on the floor of this place, she is going to need to use all of her skills in unison to get out of this.
Her eyes glowed as she locked onto her target, watching her go into full attack mode. Any sensible person would press for advantage and rush her down but with how big her blasts are….it'd be running into an artillery cannon with nothing on. Running away is not an option and attempting to bait her isnt going to end well for her the more she leaves her be.
She had a mental back and forth for a few moments before she settled on a plan. Her quirks range and effect was still in play as her copies distorted. It was a risk but she needs to do something or else.
“I really hate this situation...but might as well jump into the belly of the beast now rather than regret it later...GO!”, she said to herself as she activated her quirk once more as she and her copies began to leap from building to building. Each mirage has a slight delay in each action as they get closer and closer. As the temperature rises, more mirages begin to appear as Feng hides herself among the crowd she made with her own movements.
Feng would throw various feints towards Jaz with the intent to confuse her and get a reaction. But that was one part as the second part was to come in from her blindspot and have her land a solid hit on her. It was a gambit but god damn is she not going to let her talk like the villain anymore than she wants to hear.
