Welp this was... an unusual set of circumstances. Axel had been working on prototypes of this idea for a long time, even going to the extent of trying to copy his own electrical signals to try and lead the basic foundations of AI and... well he'd gotten that to work once but every other prototype- nope. Not something to get into right now. The basic foundation of today being weird was the fact he was standing at the UA gates with a visitor's pass hung around his neck. He really shouldn't be doing this. His fingers drumming against the strap of his satchel he tried to metaphorically swallow back his nerves before pushing inside. Arriving at the workshop they'd been provided while he worked with the UA support students, Axel looked to the far end of the room. There was a table with some of the smaller prototype parts he'd developed littered on it. A few basic AI programs people could plug into their laptops to look at the code for, a few limbs, and beyond them some metal frames holding up the full body prototypes, ranging from more human-shaped ones such as [image] and more adaptable frames such as [image]. There was a lot of open space for the kids to work with, about the size of four classrooms put together, with several work desks with plug sockets and safe surfaces to use tools as need be. He wasn't a teacher, he didn't expect this to be a very focused 'class' of sorts, but he was at least eager to see what could be made of it all... Maybe this would be nice. Just... a few weeks working on his projects with a group of kids to support him and challenge him with new ideas... yeah. This could be good. He still had a solid er... 10 minutes? Yeah 'bout that, before everyone was supposed to be here, and he wasn't gonna be against anyone who ran a few minutes late. He sat at the work-table set up for him at the front of the room, pulling out his laptop. A bulky case but clear the kind holding some good hardware, albeit now littered with doodles and stickers across the casing. It once had a very clear ASTA brand on it but with his own modifications both on the hardware and artistically, it wouldn't be easy to recognize as such at a glance. He opened up his sent email folder, looking at the email he sent to all the Support students. To: UA support students Video attatched Click click!~ With each of their emails the following video of Axel in his own ASTA workshop would be attatched. "This thing on? Er... right. Not used to being the face of these videos." The robot man stepped back from the camera and seemed to clear his throat despite a clear lack of needing to, a bright smiley emote appearing on his TV screen face. "Well er... welcome UA support students... or... well I guess I'll be saying that if you show up, ehehehe! A-anyway. I'm hoping those of you working with technology and robotics in the support class will already be somewhat in the know about the fact that we here at ASTA have started a new program with your school! We're hoping to be able to support future hero course students with more advanced robots to train against on their path to becoming heroes. Now, of course, we know there have been rumors that us working with you heroes may not be the best course of action, and thats EXACTLY why we want you involved. We'll be starting a new after-class workshop every wednesday, with room to add more hours, were we want you kids to help develop and give your input on the robots we'll be developing, as well as examining and pre-approving every model we develop before they are implemented in your schools. If you're interested, we'll be starting the first week back after your summer break. Don't forget!~" ... Boy Axel hoped at least one kid took that message seriously. He could end up just sitting around in this empty classroom for an hour looking like one hell of a lemon.

Kumoko sighed. It seemed as though every time she tried to repair her robot buddy herself, there always seemed to be something that went wrong. First the running around in circles and crashing into walls, then the walking backwards, then the time it tried to attack every roomba it came across without any orders to do so. Why? Why do I always screw up every time I fix Charlotte? Fortunately, there were the far more talented students in Support Studies that could fix Charlotte and keep the insectoid fixed. But the spider-headed girl wished her skills were good enough to the point where she could do it herself without messing up.
I'll do it! Someday, I'll become reliable! I just need to keep studying and improving my skills! Then I can make Charlotte the best robot she can be, as well as help out anyone else who needs help with their robot. That would be really nice.
To the girl's credit, Kumoko was indeed slowly improving as time went on. There would be longer periods of time before Charlotte glitched out and needed repairs. Kumoko was getting better and better at understanding how and why the problems occurred. And when she did fix an issue, it was more and more likely to stay fixed.
As Kumoko hung upside down on the ceiling in her room, she noticed Charlotte suddenly jump off her bed and running in circles as the robot looked up at her. For a second, Kumoko began to worry. Was Charlotte glitching again? But then the robot spoke in its usual feminine robotic voice, and that worry was instantly cast aside.
"Kumoko, you have a new e-mail. Would you like me to read it for you?"
Hmm? What could that be about? Getting down from the ceiling (and just barely avoiding slipping and falling flat on her face), Kumoko nodded. "Sure." With that confirmation, the insectoid spoke. "Affirmative. Playing the video now." And with that, a holographic image formed in front of the robot, being projected from the red 'gem' on its forehead.
Kumoko gave the video her full undivided attention. She listened as the guy (who apparently had a TV for a head, which intrigued and fascinated the spider-headed girl) gave his explanation. So it seemed that he was with ASTA, and they wanted to help the future heroes by providing more advanced robots to help them train. There would be an after-class workshop every Wednesday where they wished to help the support students develop robots, as well as give input and examine robots they themselves developed. It seemed pretty fascinating. Despite not being the most confident in her building skills, Kumoko felt like she was at least good enough to help out with this. "Sounds interesting. I think I'll give this a shot!"
And with that decided, Kumoko was in! Naturally, once it was time to head out, the spider girl (with her robot companion in hand) would head out and arrive at the workshop. Preferably a bit on the early side, as Kumoko was not one who liked showing up late to anything. It seemed like the girl got a break today, as not only did she arrive on time, but she didn't even slip and crash into anything this time!
"Hello there!" Kumoko smiled as she greeted the guy with a polite bow. "It's a pleasure to get to work with you. My name's Kumoko. Kumoko Joro." And with that, the spider girl made her way to one of the seats. Her eyes lit up upon seeing the things on the table she would be working with. She looked forward to getting started.

The benefits of having a dorm room to yourself. One, you didn't have to worry about complaints on all the tech pieces scattered on the floor. Two, you can work in peace without any interruptions. Three, you can do other things without too many questions. Such as the attempt Niji was trying to do for her project. Thanks to the words of her senpai, Niji believed she might have found a solution to her problem.
"Day 97," she said into the recorder on her desk. "Project Name: Chibi Bots. The purpose of Chibi Bots is to provide anyone who does not have martial talent a chance to defend themselves in a combat situation." Niji at the four little chibi bots: one that is pink and yellow in color, one that was blue and silver in color, on that was green and orange in color, and one that was red and purple in color.
"Currently loading basic martial arts into the first one," she continued, picking up the yellow and pink one. "Only enough memory to focus on one martial art. Seeing if possible to upgrade martial art on its own. Maybe providing AI would be the way to go." She set the small chibi on the desk and pulled out a petri dish. "I will be introducing my blood into the Chibis as a power source. Since my quirk can power the tech I can create, it should work in theory for this. Just have to do it just right..."
Just as she was about to put her blood into the tiny bot, her computer went off with a video message. "To be continued," Niji said and turned off the tape recorder. Even now, she couldn't believe that she picked up her father's habit when it came to working on projects. Niji rolled her chair over to the computer, covered in different sticky notes. Meeting with benafactors. Projects. Singing practice. Cheerleading practice. Man, she was bogged down for quite some time. But at least she would get to spend her days with Desmoshi and tell him about it.
Niji pulled the email and pressed play on the video. It was a man with what looked like to be a TV for a head. He was from the ASTA corporation. Nice. An opportunity to get ideas on her projects and at the same time, help with others. Desmoshi and even Jeeves didn't feel comfortable with ASTA, mostly because of the rumors. But Niji was willing to give anyone a chance. And who knows? They may be good business partners in the future.
A few minutes later.
Niji entered the workshop, seeing the TV-head man there from the video. Along with him was the second-year, Kumoko Joro. She heard some good things about the spider girl and was happy to work with her. Smooth out the wrinkles of her lab coat with different rainbow patches. She tightened her rainbow hair bow in her cream-colored hair. "Hello," Niji waved with a smile, taking a seat. "I'm Niji Uta. I am happy to be meeting you today."

Post by Jasmine Noir on Aug 29, 2020 12:23:23 GMT -4
While Jasmine was no support student, she had her fair share of experiences with that part of U.A. The wolf's focus had always mainly been on her physical and mental training as a hero, but she hadn't ever forgotten to dedicate whatever time she could to what she'd been taught when she was still a kid. During the time the third year hero course student found to herself she'd often hang around the support class' workshop, tinkering away with whatever scraps the support kids didn't need or were kind enough to give her. It wasn't much, but it was something she could do to try to hone her own craft in the hopes of turning it into an actual job somewhere down the line. Y'know, beyond the hero gig. She hated the idea of being a one trick pony.
As much as Jasmine preferred to study by herself, she'd been running that well a little dry by this point. The internet and the library could only get you so far, especially when you preferred applied research... whatever that was in terms of engineering. Sure, the blueprints she managed to find in that underground base during her internship with Mia helped a lot to broaden her horizons to certain systems of machine behavior, the wolf was still struggling to make headway.
It was exactly then that she'd managed to sneak a peak at an email one of the support students had gotten. A video from some guy with a TV for a head. Pretty weird but honestly she wasn't one to judge. The dude was from ASTA and was supposed to be building a relationship between the firm and the school so they could work together? Interesting. Jasmine had heard quite a bit about that corporation and none of it was good. Sure they dabbled in philanthropy on the regular, but all that meant was that their PR team was smart enough to know what CSR was.
In any case, whatever their agenda was mattered little to the wolf. What she saw there was an opportunity and she was gonna make damn sure to cash in. She was among the first few there, noticing two other girls present, only one of which she remembered seeing in the onsen during that trip Yumi had planned for the school. She gave the younger girl a quick nod as a greeting but said little, rather focusing on the displays.
The ashen haired lass quirked a brow curiously as she inspected the frames. She could've sworn she'd seen them before...
She glanced at the guy with the TV head, that very same expression on her face... then again by now she was more suspicious than anything. Something didn't add up. Or, rather... added up in all the wrong places Jasmine hadn't at all expected to encounter today. "...Jasmine Noir. 3-A. Not a support student but, uh... tinkering's kind of always been my thing since I was a kid. I'd like to join, if you don't mind?"

Post by Krahno Kalo on Aug 30, 2020 14:13:35 GMT -4
Krahno had been hard at work on his hobby of inventing things for the greater good of mankind. Thing was he wasn't very good at it yet, he was only good at small things and such like his multi-tool and tracker watch which were projects he had been working on for quite a while. The basis of these inventions was simply that he could use the multi tool to help fix any sort of machine or robot he would make in the future. His Tracker Watch would be used as a part of a tracking system for said robots or machines as the watch has a small tracking device embedded into it that can be placed on one of the machines or robots and used to track it. As of right now Krahno was hard at work on these until he got an email all of a sudden.
Looking over to his computer Krahno scooted his chair over toward it and played the video from the email itself. Upon watching the video Krahno took note that this guest with a TV like head was from the ASTA corporation and was teaching a class about robots and technology. "How exciting! Well I certainly have nothing to lose by going to this class." Krahno took his unfinished Multi-Tool watch and his plans for any future inventions with him into his backpack. Making sure he had everything before leaving his room all the plans for different inventions were all there. His Multi-Tool and Tracker Watch being the most notable of the inventions he planned to make.
Heading out of the dorm room and toward the school Krahno had his usual outfit on for this. The white lab coat would be very noticeable as something that he would always have on him. Moving toward the school at an average pace he would come upon the classroom in question. Seeing Kumoko there surprised him a bit, then again he didn't know that much about her other than she was just in his support class and that she showed him around the school once on his first day here.
He knew she was a little clumsy however but that was a given really. Walking into the classroom Krahno took notice of two things. For one thing he was the only guy in the entire classroom aside from presumably their guest teacher and two Krahno felt a little out of place since he hadn't actually finished any of his projects yet. Everyone else looked like they had something done already or were coming close to doing so.
Brushing the back of his head he felt a little awkward right now but would take a seat otherwise. "Hello I'm Krahno Kalo, I'm from the support course and the same year as Kumoko over there. Good to see you again by the way." Krahno introduced himself as he looked over toward Kumoko before placing his bag onto the ground with all his invention ideas next to his chair. Krahno felt a little nervous at first but was very excited either way.

It wasn't hard to miss Honey's entrance, it went with a little poof sound as she had slid the door open too quickly as she leaned against it and basically rolled into the class. She sat on her bum and looked up. Wow... a tv for a face! That was amazing but she did not stare for too long so it wasn't obvious. "Hello." She got up and just dusted off her behind, tail and skirt and made a short bow. "I am Honey Hirano, I am from 2-S and I am working ehm learning how to make robots." She had a small yellow backpack where the starting frame of Cherry was hidden inside. She had made a bit of a leap to create Cherry but it was good to work with professionals and everyone else and she looked who was around more. Oh boy, this was amazing, there were Kumoko and Niji and even Krahno was here and... weeeew third year Jasmine! She only knew her by name because well obviously hard to miss but she quickly made her way over to Niji and would just stand close to her friend to make sure they could share a desk or spread ideas.
Wow, it was such a coincidence she got the email though. Truly, it was not, because she was a support student. But after Kumoko had made Charlotte, Rowan had been inspired by mostly Haruuhi-senpai and Robodog during the sport-festival to look forward to making a robot too. Wasn't that the thing for support students or was she completely in the wrong there? But still she had an idea for Cherry and Momoko-senpai had helped her with making the blueprints and well everything was going well but building an AI was definitely not the easiest thing in the world and Honey could definitely work on becoming better and so on. Gosh darn, this was amazing and she had so much difficulty with standing still and just not interrupting things by tapping with her toes or making a little wiggly dance. She was a squirrel and she had enormous bursts of energy within her, in her homeroom class she had a little stand underneath her desk with bike-pedals so she could pedal while Orlov-sensei or who else was explaining classes so she would get rid of her energy and yet be paying attention. Now that wasn't around here in this classroom so she should be on her best behaviour and try to just not distract anyone, this class was important, so she should try. Alright, she almost clapped in her hands after forcing herself to focus on it... that would be making noise, she managed to stop it on time!

Wow... honestly even 5 students was a bigger turn out than he expected, Axel had his arms folded tight around himself, dressed just in a loose green bomber jacket with the sleeves rolled up. He was a robot man so clothes weren't exactly a neccesity for him. He was sans pants and hans safety equipment. Heck even if he did get a spark or something in the fact the worst it'd do is bounce off his TV screen. He leaned back a little, obsering the kids as they came in. The first... okay he was a robot man and even he was still a little thrown by spider head. He'd seen spider quirks before, you worked with a lot of people doing time with Asta's quirk research department but... jesus that... okay. Times like this he was very glad he had to physically choose to show an emote on his face.
The rest of the class was, mostly, visually normal. A plucky young girl, one with silver hair... felt vaguely familiar but it wasn't quite ringing a bell just yet. A kid with blue skin and one who seemed to have the aspects of a squirrel. A unique bunch, mostly girls but he'd heard passing word that the school seemed to have a rather unexpected gender leaning in it's students. Rolling his shoulders back as they made introductions, he bowed his head in turn to them and offered a smiley emote on his screen as he lifted his head and waved.
"Welcome students! I'm glad to see my emails got some attention-!" When Jasmine mentioned that they were more of a tinkerer than a support student, Axel nodded again and waved it off. "Don't worry about it, this workshop is for everyone to offer their ideas, criticism, and help something become a reality for the students who'll follow you into UA, or heck, for any of you with years left to go, maybe it'll be a reality for your upcoming years. Who knows.~"
Alright, he had kids, now he needed a hook to work them with. The class was an open plan with equally spaced worktops and tools to use. "Alright if everyone could find a desk to work from, feel free to share if there's someone here you work well with I don't mind, aaaand get out any laptops you might wanna use. I gotta boot up here so you all got a minute to get ready."
Letting them all do their own thing, Axel pulled his own laptop out of his bag of supplies, taking a moment to hook it up to a smart screen at the end of the room, clapping enthusiastically as it seemed to go off without a hitch, and the powerpoint he had ready displayed itself.
"Alright! So! As you all should know from the email, this will be a workshop with a semi loose schedule to help Asta work with the school in developing training robots. They would practically be used for the hero course to battle against buuuut we'd also be interested in making sure they work as fine examples from other support students to study from. We're looking for a wide range of ideas here but, ultimately-"
He clicked onto the next slide, showing 3 silhouettes with question marks on them. "We're looking to make at least 3 core designs, both to ensure there can be more specialization than just a single robot, but also we're hoping to limit the initial line to make sure mass production of any scale would be viable. So..." He went to the next slide, comically a picture of himself in the 'we want you' pose from american propaganda. "This is where I wanna ask for any initial questions. I'll open by explaining this will mostly be an open talk workshop where you'll be left to your own devices and can work with one another or ask me for support on the project. So any general questions about 'structure' is off the table. I do have some plans for today but really this will be acting as a creative space with a project in mind. Maybe think of it as practice for collaborative efforts in the real world."

One by one, the other students arrived. Most were ones Kumoko knew, like Niji who she met in the Cheerleading Club tryouts, as well as her classmates Krahno and Honey. Jasmine was the only one Kumoko had not yet met personally, though of course the spider-headed girl had heard much about the third year. It was curious to see a non-support student join in on this, but there was nothing wrong with that. Anyway, unless there were going to be any latecomers, it was safe to say that everyone was now here, and it was time to get this thing started.
Kumoko listened to the TV-headed man, taking out her laptop as she did so. While Charlotte could more than suffice for this as well, the spider girl did not want to risk her robot spazzing out due to a random glitch. So for now, it would just remain in her arms, observing and taking notes for Kumoko. The spider girl did not mind working with anyone here if they wanted to partner up with her. Of course, if the others wanted to partner up with themselves and leave her all alone, that was fine too.
For now, Kumoko kept quiet as she continued to listen. She did not have any questions of her own just yet. So far, everything seemed to be straightforward enough. However, she was curious to see if anyone else here did have a question or several. And if so, what answers would the TV-headed man respond with?

As Niji took her seat at a desk, she wondered how this man's quirk truly worked. Was he born with the TV for a head? Was it a part of his hero costume? Niji wasn't too sure. She just found it a little interesting on how some people's quirks came to be in the world they lived in today. The man presented himself and the idea that ASTA had for UA. A workshop on building training robots that would better assist with UA's training of heroes. From combat to study for supports, these robots could improve on the curriculum at UA. And they were looking for ideas from the students.
Niji took notes quietly, thinking of a couple of designs. She had one in particular herself that she was still testing. A robot that scanned the person's martial art and actually used it with some basic accuracy. She had other applications of this project, but she felt like she was missing a few things. Hopefully the workshop would be able to point some of those things out. They did have Fort Slog, but that was more of a simulation for training. These bots could serve as good sparring partners and even increase the study for more tech-like students who design weapons and hero outfits. Niji sat quietly and listened, with no questions of her own.

Despite Jasmine's expression remaining stone cold, her mind was burning with questions and suspicions. Maybe she'd been imagining things - wouldn't be the first time - but she could've sworn these designs were the same as the ones she and Red Horn had faced during her internship... albeit with a lot more weaponry. The lass hummed to herself quietly as she took a seat and observed the presentation. ASTA, huh? She'd heard things about that corporation, both good and bad. She couldn't decide whether that made her suspicions worse or not. She hoped she was wrong because if she was right, that meant either ASTA unknowingly had somebody tapping into their resources to develop secret weaponry, or...
She didn't want to entertain that thought just yet.
Jasmine pulled out her own laptop, an idea making its way to her head. During her internship she had managed to salvage some data before the entire underground complex went tits up. Not much - just a few designs of the machines they'd fought off. Machines which seemed awfully similar -- borderline complete -- as compared to these seemingly unfinished ones.
She left the designs open. "Uhh... hey teach?" The lass asked aloud, raising her hand. "I got a few initial design upgrade ideas here for these bad boys. Could you take a look and maybe give me some input?" If this was indeed what she thought it was, Jasmine would simply be showing his own designs to him.
All she had to do now is look for a reaction... as difficult as that might end up being given his head was a freaking TV.

Krahno took notice that the other students who were participating in this class were already hard at work on their own projects but as for his own project he felt like he might need a little help to get it off the ground. But what to do first? That was a good question really.
Getting his inventions out of his bag, Krahno would slowly place them on his desk and start tinkering a little bit. Taking his uncompleted Tracker Watch he would start to work on that some more. Sighing a little as he began work on it Krahno did not know if he exactly fit in this class, well that and he wondered if he could even concentrate with the fact he was the lone guy in this entire classroom. He knew that did not really matter much, he wasn't like checking the girls out or anything, it was more like he didn't really know how to connect with females as much.
Thing was in america he was always the odd one out anyways but due to being somewhat introverted he was always the sort of shy around other people, especially girls.
This was different though as today he was here to prove he was good at robotics in his field of research. Looking over to their teacher from ASTA Krahno could not help but wonder if his inventions were any good at all.
He sometimes has very low confidence in himself and it shows. "Hey uh..." he forgot if the guest teacher introduced themselves or not. "...Teach...I happen to have in the works a few projects. One of which I am calling the Tracker Watch. I plan to use it to keep track of where machines and robots go should I lose them or need to find one, would that be considered a good invention?" Krahno said with a very unsure tone of voice.
As for robots themselves he didn't know of any special ideas right away. Sure he had his Tracker Watch to keep track of where they would be but only things that came to mind with robots would be ones that act like his Multi-Tool. Being able to fix different things with their limbs and such. But then all of a sudden an idea hit him! "Wait! I got it!" Krahno said excitedly which was something he usually wouldn't be prone to feel or show in emotion. "If I can just adapt my Mulit-Tool idea into a robot then these new ones can repair other robots and machines using this idea. Of course why didn't I think of this sooner?" Krahno immediately took out some paper and started on a design to make some blueprints of said robot.

Heh fascinating. After tumbling down, the surprise of having a teacher with a television as a face had been nothing. But now that she was sitting on a desk and looking more at the man, right?, explaining the lesson today she realized it and she just simply stared... utterly fascinated by the quirk, thing, whatever it was. Honey would realize everyone was grabbing their stuff and she just quickly jumped off her chair to grab her blueprints and her tablet and put it back on the bench, she had some things she would be fiddling with, also in her backpack, to make sure she would be able to make Cherry, that was an exciting little thing to consider though! She should focus though but instead was looking around, ah there was Kumoko with Charlotte, she should ask her best friend's help for making Cherry, but she wanted to prove she was able to do it too. Jumping off her chair again to grab the stuff, she quickly scurried back and put everything on her little table. She was a little confused as she thought they were going to work on what their sensei asked but some of them talked about their own inventions and she wasn't sure what Niji and Kumoko were doing as they were saying nothing. Maybe she should make notes like Niji, that would work, focus on the discussion instead of on building Cherry. She could always ask some advice later, the designs Axel-sensei asked for could maybe help with the idea of how to build Cherry as well, if they were looking for robots? Hmm so he said they could study from the process of making it, see that would work for Cherry. Right she put some of the stuff aside and started to type notes on her tablet.
Looking from one to another she held up her hand as well, in case she would get the turn to speak after Jasmine and Krahno, she would do her best to formulate her question well."Would the robots be for something like fort slog or a new training regime for hero students? I would say it is an important question based on the ehm..." what was the word again, "Well based on the location it can be a different space or terrain where they would need to be, might need something to make them move around that would be okay for every terrain at least?" But she had no idea how that worked, would she need to consider that with Cherry too or would she be light enough? Maybe she interpreted the designs for training as really big considering they had some really tall students in the hero course. The small students she met were all in support, she should find some new sources to study... wait that sounded wrong! She felt a little shy here though, only recently picking up the tinkering and hammering on metal but she did not really like it, she liked making the designs, maybe she could be better in the computery-part?

Axel worried a little when there seemed to be a brief bit of silence as he effectively tried to give out the game plan for the lessons, he knew he wasn't a teacher but a moment of deafening silence would still stun anyone, especially a self admitting coward like him. He didn't even have a mouth but he could feel it getting dry from the nerves for a moment until some of the students finally spoke up. One asking for design advice, another suggesting an idea of their own, and another asking a question about what their design philosophy should be. That... that was a good start.
"Well er... let's start with..." He paused, moving to his laptop, he had some files of the support students so he could help learn faces. "Krahno. You've been working on something to track robots? Definitely a good start. If we can install some mechanism like that in the UA robots it'd mean we can keep track of students in larger arenas just by seeing how the AI is moving to react with them. Would probably help cut down on camera management and outside influences." He chimed, actually liking the idea a fair bit. He seemed to hit an epiphany too on the robots repairing eachother. "Hmmm... if you wanna work on that go ahead. Just remember that you can't prepare for everything. Consider that an AI can only be programmed with a set amount of possibilities. They could do simple repair maybe but they're always gonna have to come back to us at the end of the day if things get serious."
Honey also had a question? Honey right...? He checked his computer again and pointed to her, actually getting a little more energetic as he was talking more freely about robotics. "Good question. That's actually part of why we're establishing this class. The focus will actually be making robots for the entire school system. I could go back to my lab at ASTA and design single use robots-" He snapped his fingers for emphasis. "Like that, but we're hoping with a few creative hero minds on this we can develop something that can be built on going forward, adaptable, manageable frames. That's our key goal. We'll need some specialized idea sure, but the more we can adapt going forward, the better it'll be for the students that come after you and the students after them. Ground work ideas is what we're mostly looking for. If you have an idea of how to design the legs or the wheels for a certain terrain? Good, run with it... but if you can figure out a way to get that type of design on 4 different torsos? Great.~"
He hoped he was being clear enough, and as Jaz asked for a look at their designs. "Er... why don't we all start grouping up if we can, share some work you have on personal projects, feel free to dismantle the designs i brought if you wanna see how it works." He shot a smiling emote on his screen before rounding Jaz's desk to see her designs... he didn't emote, he didn't express.
But he very clearly became still for a moment. The great thing about his head was he didn't have to express, emote, unless he wanted to... but he needed at least a second to figure out how he handled his tone. The words that came out were just...
"... You work fast."

Kumoko listened as the other students asked their questions and had them answered. The spider girl had felt bad for remaining silent. It was like she was too embarrassed to ask something in case her question was a stupid one. Not that there necessarily was such a thing as a stupid question, but the shy girl couldn't help it. Was it too late to ask something now? Would it be awkward to wait until the very last moment to ask a question? It was probably best not to worry too much.
Still, while the spider girl said nothing, she at least kept her... well not ears, as she didn't have any to keep open, but she listened. Listening to the answers the TV-headed guy provided. Kumoko wrote down some notes. Even with Charlotte recording everything relevant, it was important to have physical notes in case the small insectoid glitched out and somehow lost all its digital notes. Now that would be awful!
As she listened to the TV-headed man speak, Kumoko began to draw on a blank sheet of paper, thinking to herself as she did so. Hmm, I wonder what kind of ideas I should incorporate into a robot intended for battle practice? Besides the obvious stuff like motion sensors, various projectiles, armor, and attack patterns. Maybe insect-like legs for traversing through all kinds of terrain? Or maybe wings or some kind of propulsion system to move around in the air and become harder to hit? Not all villains will stay grounded after all, so that would be good practice. Ooh, maybe some camouflage! Before she knew it, Kumoko had already half-finished a rough draft on a moth-like robot design. Oh neat. Could use a bit more work, though. Perhaps she would show this off later, but for now, this was just a rough sketch. Kumoko had far better work in her bag to show off.
And now it was time to start grouping up now. Kumoko looked around the room, seeing if maybe Honey or Krahno or any of the others wanted to join up with her. Not that she minded being alone, but working on projects like this was usually way more fun with other people.
