T here was one thing that Angel loved about summer vacation and staying home for it,and that was her uninterrupted by training reading time! Since it was summer vacation the training rooms, classrooms and club rooms were all closed which meant that Angel could finally give herself a well deserved break! Despite not having been picked for any of the top student lists Angel was still rather recognizable in many ways. Be it the long jagged scar under her right eye that went half way down her face, her large pink wings, being a former slave, her large hearing aids, her sports festival performances, her choice in a more masculine wardrobe or the mere fact that she was the class 3-A class Vice president it was pretty difficult for the younger years to not recognize her despite her not being one of the "Popular kids" and so days she could get to relax and be just Angel were absolutely wonderful. That being said Angel was also known for being one of the most friendly and excitable people around who always wore a large grin who refused to turn anyone away if they came to her with a problem or just wanted to chat about common interests. Since she didn't have to worry about anything concerning New Oasis her soon to be built Youth center and orphanage Angel decided to put on one of her absolute favorite outfits and her new trench coat that her family had gifted which had wing holes in the back which she slid her wings through not to hide them, but so she could lean against things comfortably. She then grabbed her bag,and slipped a couple cluck colas,a couple chocolate bars and her hard back copy of the Trials of Apollo: the hidden oracle which she had just started and had one of her feathers as a book mark. Once Angel was packed and ready she made her way to the library in a care free way until she finally made it. The young girl then chose to instead of sitting at a table walked past what few people were there, and into the fantasy section which was like her own little hiding hole where she gently removed her bag before sitting cross legged leaning her back against the shelf in a comfy way. She then opened up her bag,and pulled out her book which was in pristine condition and opened it up to where she had stopped. She was at the chapter where Apollo and his friend & Feisty master Meg arrived at Camp Half Blood to meet everyone. Angel then allowed herself to become entranced in the universe of gods, heroes and monsters remaining more still then anyone who knew her had ever seen her sit for any length of time. The other odd thing was that aside from the odd giggle or snort at something the character Meg or her favorite character Nico said she remained quiet which was odd for someone as bombastic as Angel Surami. This was one of her happy places, and if anyone would happen upon her hiding spot they would clearly see that.

YOU WANT A REVOLUTION I WANT A REVELATION Angelica had only just returned to U.A after a brief--well, two weeks, but to her it felt brief--return home to England, and was suffering just slightly from the change in time zones. At this time of day she would be only just waking up, but here it was just late enough in the morning that being tired simply wasn't acceptable. Not if she wanted to get her schedule back on the correct path. With the infirmary being off limits, and with those she considered her friends busy with their jobs or other important tasks, Angelica opted to spend some time in the library so that she could regain some energy without doing something as immature as taking a mid-day nap.
She walked into the library with a confident stride, her pristine white button-up and a pastel yellow skirt feeling strange when worn on school grounds, but it was summer vacation and she didn't need to wear the uniform right now. As she walked past the desk she gave a small nod of greeting to the school's librarian, who definitely was not secretly one of Japan's most secretive and informative heroes.
Now, the most difficult part of this venture: what to read? Angelica went past a few stacks of books, placing a long pink finger to her chin as she glanced at the decimals that indicated their place in the catalog. Hm. Should she go with a new book, to keep herself simulated? Or one she knew well just to keep her focus and entertain herself? Fiction or non-fiction? What genre of fiction? Biographical or auto-biographical?
She frowned as she looked over a shelf indicated to be meant for "Young Adult" novels, finding the thought of reading them to be ridiculous. Some series of "young adult" books weren't what she would call "trash", but the sub-genre had been littered with torrid romances and boring love triangles since the turn of the century, and it took far too long to slough through the various copy-cats and first-time authors who had needed another round of editing to find a good series there.
So she passed by the section, only sparing a glance down the aisle that it was a part of, before she spotted somebody else down it a ways. It was a student--well, of course it was, this was a school library after all--with pink hair and a trench-coat that was pooled around where she was sitting crisscross on the floor. That alone might have been an interesting sight, but that wasn't what drew Angelica's attention. The girl had wings. Large, pink wings, covered in feathers. Interesting.
She was in Chimera's trial over the tournament, wasn't she? The one who wore the android. I didn't take her as a reader.
Angelica sorted through her thoughts until she remembered he name, then, momentarily amused, chuckled into her hand.
Right. Her name is Angel, isn't it. Is that short for Angelica?
Of all the places in the world I could have met another one, Japan was not where I expected it. What is she reading?
It wouldn't occur to her that she looked like she was staring down at the other student, trying to better see the cover of her book from where she stood. She could have just asked but she wasn't here to socialize. It was just a passing curiosity.

A s soon as someone began down the young adult isle of the library Angel's reflexes kicked in causing her to turn her head as the universe she was pulled into fell away as she blinked it away to see a young 2nd year that she had seen around and knew was in the support course with Angel's own future successor Kumoko Joro. Sadly even though Angel could place the face the name escaped her! As the other girl looked toward her as if she was trying to read the title of her book Angel placed her feather at the page she was on before closing and standing and walking toward the younger girl and giving her a playful wave before gently holding out the book she was reading for the girl to examine. "Hiya! My name's Angel. I'm the class 3-A vice president. You're in the support course right? You're a second year? If so you're in the same class as my chosen successor and future sidekick Kumoko Joro. You look super familiar, but forgive me because your name escapes me. I do remember hearing that you are one of if not the smartest in your year's course! If you are looking for something super fun and interesting to read I recommend Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson universe of books! The first three series which contains five books each are all the Greek and Roman pantheon. In order they are Percy Jackson and the Olympians, heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo. He also did the Norse Pantheon which is called Magnus Chase and the Nords of Asgard which has three books and the Egyptian pantheon called The Kane Chronicles which also has three books. This is my personal copy, but i'm sure they have them all here! They aren't entirely accurate to the mythology, but I love reading about heroes, gods and monsters!"Angel blushed and covered her mouth with her book as she realized that she had begun a happy little rant about her favorite series and had been going almost a mile a minute. "I'm so sorry. I get really excited when I talk about the series to someone new. It's my absolute favorite, and part of what inspired me to become a combat centered hero. I didn't mean to ramble like that please forgive me."As she moved her book away from her face she took a closer look at the young girl before hers pink completion and saw how tired she looked. Had she stayed up all night studying even though it was summer break? Whatever the case Angel had just the cure! "I know we aren't supposed to bring in food or drinks, but I brought a couple cluck colas and a couple chocolate bars with me in my bag. I don't mind sharing if you want? You look super tired, but that's probably normal for you huh? Always up late being a super smart support course student? If you wanna sit by me and read so you don't get caught eating or drinking I wouldn't mind the company. I like making new friends especially those who like fantasy books."As Angel turned to return to her seat she looked over her shoulder and smiled and spoke as she sat down. "Your hair is really pretty by the way. I really like it."Without another word Angel sat her book down on the floor, unzipped her bag and pulled out a cold cluck cola and a chocolate bar with a big happy grin and held them out towards the girl who would hopefully be her new friend.

YOU WANT A REVOLUTION I WANT A REVELATION Despite making no effort to initiate a conversation, the other student noticed her and looked up all the same, and just like that Angelica's attempt at silently inspecting them from afar became a pipe dream. Oh well. She opened herself up to it, in hindsight, when she began to stare at them. She took note of the feather being used to bookmark the page Angel had been on, appreciating that she didn't doggy-ear the page like some kind of idiot, before she stepped back from the shelf so that she was facing the girl head on rather than at an angle.
She'd been correct, naturally, at figuring out who Angel was. The girl was quick to speak and speak she surely did, giving quite a lot of information on the book series that she had been reading so intently, which Angelica filed for a little later.
It was nice to meet somebody with a book series they were so passionate about, even one that Angelica personally found childish for her tastes. Not that she had read more than one.
But that wasn't what she honed in on, in that opening spiel.
"Sidekick"?
The already thin smile on Angelica's face turned more into a line as Angel got closer. One incredulous brow raised up.
Kumoko? Your sidekick? My vice-president?
How "cute".
Her steely blue eyes went to the drink and candy bar offered to her. There was no food or drink allowed in the library. Was she unaware of this? It was a standard rule in most public libraries, let alone ones operated privately. Angel was quick to say that she did know about the rule, though, and all the same had brought the snacks in. Her brow raised higher.
How unfortunate.
Angelica placed her right hand over her right hip, looking down, again, at the girl as she took her seat on the floor. She drew in a small breath, and then smiled oh so sweetly at her.
"Your sidekick? Correct me if I'm wrong, Surami-senpai, but you are only a third year yourself, yes? So you expect to be a hero in the year or so that will be the difference between your graduation and Joro-san's? You must be quite a bit older than the standard third year, if you will be hitting twenty in just a year's time. Is that not a little presumptuous of you?"
Kumoko doesn't deserve to be the sidekick to anyone who isn't already a professional hero. You don't even qualifty.
"And, again, feel free to correct me, but as you are aware of the rule barring food and drink from the library you are saying that you are actively ignoring said rule for your own benefit. Is a hero student who goes about breaking rules something that I should find charming? You do realize how much of a contradiction that is? And that is to say nothing of your assumption that I would partake in breaking the same rule. As the president of the literature club I could very well lose my permission to use the library as our club room if I were to say yes, which I only would do if I were a stupid girl."
Angelica pushed a strand of pink hair back behind her ear, one of the two loose curls that framed her face when her hair was up in its traditional orderly bun. "It is disappointing to see a 'prominent' hero student who so flagrantly breaks rules. Almost as disappointing that I knew who you were, and yet you can not be asked to remember the name of not only the class president of 2-SS but also the head infirmary aide."
Going to tell Murakami-sensei that a student was breaking the rules would be the next obvious step to this, but some part of her wanted to see how this girl would react to Angelica's verbal attack. It had been a while since she went off like that.

S o much for making a new friend. Angel sighed and put the snack and drink back in her bag as well as her book. She then just allowed the gum looking haired girl go on her rant as Angel herself just closed her eyes and began to take deep breaths through her nose as the girl brought up both Angel's age questioning it as well as said that it was a bit presumptuous of her to think she would be a hero within the next year. Before the woman could continue Angel in a blur of speed and motion quickly closed the gap between her and the person down the row much faster then she had previously even causing a small gust of wind to blow up from behind her as she stopped. "Before you continue I'm going to cut you off for a moment,so please listen carefully. I am 17,and have yet to become a sidekick myself. Maybe calling Kumoko my future sidekick was a poor choice of words. I plan for her to be much more than that once I become a pro hero. I plan for her to become my partner, and then my future successor. She is one of the kindest, gentlest, merciful souls I have ever met and besides that we share a dream of a world united where bigotry no longer exists. When I graduate in five months I will be leading a youth center and orphanage for both quirkers and quirkless where I can teach both to unify as well as teach the kids with difficult to manage quirks how to control them in civilian life. I will also be having courses taught for both groups on various trades or talents one of which Kumoko has agreed to teach once she graduates and where she will be paid very well. Do not mistake my word usage for disrespect. Out of everyone in this school teachers included I respect her the most. I plan for her to be my successor once I either grow to old to be a pro or die doing so. She is the light that will shine the brightest when the Angel of Mercy is long dead and gone."Angel's tone was calm with no anger showing through her stern words, but something about her did notably change. The Angel of Mercy's ever present smile was gone completely which meant that the girl before her had touched a serious nerve and while Angel did not plan to make a physical move against her,it was clear the ususally bubbly and friendly Angel was quickly growing angry. Angel went so silent that it was almost like she wasn't breathing as the girl in front of her continued to rant at her about the rules about not bringing food or drink into the library because it was a rule not to,and if she was to accept then she would lose her library privileges for her club. To this Angel just held up her right hand to interject with same calm tone with still no smile to be found. "First of all I bring sweets with me everywhere because my quirk requires them to function. Second I was not planning for us to eat or drink them in here. I was merely offering them to you in here as a olive branch of friendship. I know the rule full well and would never blatantly break it. I usually walk into the hall and sit in the window during my break from reading. I like to watch the birds and the clouds. Lastly I meant no disrespect toward you by not remembering your name. I am usually bad with names unless I have had extended interactions with them, and those meetings we attend are so chaotic and i'm so focused on my tasks that I can't really focus on every person's name. It is a skill i must practice. As for you being the head infirmary aid I usually deal with Haruto or Ms.Witch Doctor personally as they have seen my personal records and I trust them. So again I meant absolutely no disrespect. I would appreciate a bit of consideration and respect for the kindness I have shown you despite your words."Angel then without another word turned her back to the woman who had still not given her name and sat back down in the place she had chosen and once again pulled out her book, but before opening it turned and smiled and the young woman. "Now if you'd like to start over I would still very much like to be your friend. Oh and for the rant you gave me about not knowing your name, you still didn't bother to tell it to me. I would very much like to know it please."It was like a switch had been flipped off and then on again. The happy tone in Angel's voice and her trademark smile had returned, but she would not be forgetting how the young woman had treated her act of kindness.

YOU WANT A REVOLUTION I WANT A REVELATION Angelica held her ground for just long enough for Angel to stand, still haughty, still cool, still firmly in the belief that what she was saying was right. That ended as Angel moved.
The speed was astounding, and for all her observant skills, Angelica did not have the best eye-sight. Her glasses were an obvious sign of that. She couldn't predict the movements of others without scent of some sort, and even that was less than useful, in her opinion. So Angel suddenly closing the space between them at a speed great enough to cause the wind around them to pick up, shaking the books on the shelves, was met with a sudden loud shriek as Angelica stepped back as fast as she could, losing her balance and landing on the floor.
Don't.
Don't hurt me.
Don't hurt me. I'm scared. I can't fight back.
Don't--
Her haughty air was broken, replaced with wide blue eyes and genuine fear that paled her pink skin to almost a pastel color. Angel spoke and it passed over her. Apologies mixed in with explanations and covered with fluff that didn't make sense to her. Something about when she died, she wanted Kumoko to replace her? But they were the same age, weren't they? Not even a couple of years could be between them. That...
Angelica found her footing, and no more did a mocking smile display on her face. Just cold, bitter anger as she pushed herself to her feet and glared up--yes, up--at the other girl.
I'm weaker than her.
But I'm smarter. That's what I've got. Intelligence.
That's what I've got on my side.
"Shimizu-senpai has not been in this school since spring. You were aware of that, were you not? I inherited the position from him." She spoke curtly, coolly. "And you are not one to talk about ranting, given how you have taken what few opportunities you have presented with thus far to exposit information I did not need nor ask for. What do I care about your future plans? Whatever explanation you may have had was buried in there so deeply that I could have missed it, if I were not paying attention. And just because you are not eating the snacks in here does not mean you are allowed to possess them either. 'No food or drink' means 'no food or drink'. Leave it in your locker or in your classroom, because I am positive that Murakami-sensei will not care for excuses."
Angelica's eyes narrowed. No ground had been reclaimed. If anything, she still felt like she had lost, and she loathed it. That little display of her physical abilities only served as a cruel reminder in what she herself lacked.
"My name...seriously? Not even that refreshed your memory? How stupid," she clicked her tongue against her teeth, "Tsk. My name is Angelica Carina. You see, now, why I am appalled that you could not remember it?"

...and neither "angel" knows how to make a friend. SMH A SINGLE RETURNS-CART MARKED Tobias’s location, overloaded with tomes of various sizes. The librarian toted a half-dozen books in his arms, periodically pausing to push them back into place on the shelf.
The library had been a ghost-town since the beginning of summer break. A few, more diligent students would stop-by to study, the voracious readers would come to get books. A few people lingered to use the computers or read, but otherwise it was silent.
As such, when voices pitched upwards, Tobias lifted his gaze from the books in his arms, his expression unreadable from behind the lenses of his glasses. For as hushed as they were trying to be, noise carried in this library. Angelica Carina was speaking tersely with another girl—Angel… Surami, if Tobias’s memory served him.
That, on its own, wasn’t unusual. Although Carina-san was an avid reader, her attitude tended to be… severe when interacting with most people. Perhaps they had a differing opinion on what qualified as “substantial” literature. Tobias kept one eyes trained on them, while he distractedly began to turn and shelve his books, curious but just out of earshot.
It wasn’t until the winged girl rushed at the pinkette at blinding speeds, and the pinkette shrieked, that Tobias’s attention was fully rapt. Carina toppled backwards, and Surami loomed over her, suddenly closer. Regardless of the conversation that took place prior to that, any show of quirk abilities in a library warranted the attention of an adult.
In the time it took Tobias to cross from one side of the library to the other, where the girls were, each had said their piece. Tobias stopped a few meters back, at the nearest table—Angel’s back was to him but perhaps Angelica would notice him—
Tobias extended his armful of books, roughly twenty kilograms (forty-five pounds) of material, at about a meter off of the table. Then, he moved his hands, dropped the entire stack upon the wooden tabletop.
A resounding *WHAM!* filled the library. Anyone caught on their unawares would have likely jumped—and some of the other patrons gave startled yelps or gasps or shouts of disapproval.
“Now that I have your attention…” the librarian said in a low, thin voice. He fixed Angel with a stare, first, peering at her down the bridge of his nose, “Quirk use is not permitted in this space. At all. If you are incapable of controlling yourself, you are welcome to contemplate the concept of ‘self-control’ in a week-long detention with yours truly, during which time all apprenticeships will be placed on hiatus, Surami-san. It would reflect poorly upon an aspiring figurehead in hero-society.”
He paused, rolling his shoulders as his words sank-in. His hawk-like eyes turned on Angelica, two pinpricks smoldering behind thick bangs and glasses.
Although she hadn’t been… polite, per se. But from what Tobias had witnessed, it was a reaction to the other girl startling her. So… what was there to reprimand? Fear was natural. Fear kept heroes alive. And honestly, externally… Angelica was handling it well. No shows of violence. No hysterics. Just… reprimand. Classic support studies, levelheaded where others were not. Leaving her with nothing would suggest bias.
“Carina-san… I would like you to stay in a different section than Surami-san, while you are here... opposite sides of the library, ideally,” Tobias insisted, a muscle leaping in his jaw. He glanced purposefully towards the engraved sign that read “Popular Fantasy” over the shelves, before returning his attention to her, “I trust that this will not be problematic for you, since this is not your… usual genre of choice. Hm?”
Tobias smiled at the two students, but the expression seemed more like when a primate bore its fangs than when someone was actually smiling—no friendliness, but a threat.
“See to it that you adhere to my guidelines, please,” Tobias said primly, “The use of this space is a privilege. I have no qualms kicking hellions out. Am I clear, ladies?”

A s soon as the other girl let out a frightened scream and fell on her butt Angel knew she was in trouble. Angel just allowed the girl to name herself and state that she had taken over for Haruto causing a small roll of the eyes from Angel as she remained sitting. Like anyone could truly replace Haruto in skill. As the frightened girl named herself while still acting rather stuck up Angel took a few deep breaths to keep herself calm she heard the sound of books slamming down on a desk causing her to look at Mr.Murakami who did not look pleased at all. "Hello Sir."Those were the only two words that Angel allowed herself to say as she made sure to keep her smile as the librarian and pro hero began to scold her by saying that quirk use was not allowed in the library. This caused Angel to raise an eyebrow, and quickly stand up as the man continued to threaten her with a weeks detention which meant her possible apprenticeships would be paused and wouldn't look good on her record. In a somewhat bold move that could just as easily backfire on her Angel turned her back to the librarian and pointed with her thumb toward the back of her trench coat to show that her wings weren't out. "First please allow me to apologize to Angelica sincerely for scaring her. That was not my intention. I just thought that by quickly closing the distance between us I might get to have a word in,as she was being rather rude while I did nothing but try and extend my friendship. I would also like if I may state the case behind my speed,as it is not a result of my quirk. My quirk being my wings gives me super strength, flight and range when it comes to my feather projectiles. My super speed comes from three years of training here at U.A and nothing more. I have not violated the no quirk usage rule."Angel then turned to once again face the librarian, and took a deep breath before looking briefly at Angelica before grabbing her bag and unzipping it to reveal the couple sodas and chocolate bars inside so she could take away any ammo the other girl had to use against her. She was not going to allow this girl who obviously knew the librarian and pro a lot better then she did have any leverage to use against her. "I did however bend the no food or drink rule sir. My quirk requires a high calorie and sugar intake in order to function much like a diabetic and their insolin in case of emergencies. I offered Angelica my spare chocolate bar and soda as an extension of friendship, but had no intention to drink or eat inside the library out of respect for the rule. I would have stepped outside to sit in a nearby window to have my snack. Otherwise the would have stayed zipped up securely in my bag."Angel then at normal speed walked up to the pair before giving Tobias and respectful bow before continuing. "Angelica became upset because I didn't know her name despite us having class representative meetings together, her being the new head medical aid and because she thought I disrespected one of her class mates when in fact I have been helping train said class mate whenever given the opportunity because we too are close friends, and I plan on her becoming my partner once I am a pro and my successor when I either retire to start a family, grow old or die in battle. Angelica was nothing, but rude and so like I said to get a word in past her rather mostly unwarranted angry ranting I used my speed to close the gap to surprise her into silence, but not harm or scare her. As you can see by looking at her I have not raised a hand or hurt her in any way."Once she pleaded her case she listened as she ordered Angelica to separate from Angel to the other side of the library and then threatened to kick them out if they didn't obey the rules. This caused Angel to rethink her words on the other girl, and also decide that if anyone was going to get in trouble it should be Angel herself for bringing in food. "Sir,despite her rather rude attitude towards me I believe that if anyone should be punished it should be me. Despite my needs i did break the no food rule, and I apologize for it. If you will allow me to return I will quickly go return my food items to my dorm."She then looked toward Angelica with a sincere gaze. "I am sorry that I scared you and caused you to fall. It was not my intention. I hope you can forgive me."Remembering that she accidentally left her book where she had been sitting Angel at normal speed walked over and picked it up before returning to the librarian, and awaited his decision on her punishment or lack there of. "This is my personal copy by the way, just so you didn't think I was trying to leave without properly signing out one of your books sir."

YOU WANT A REVOLUTION I WANT A REVELATION A funny sort of smile--maybe more accurately a grimace--slowly spread over Angelica's face when over Angel's shoulder she saw the absolutely towering form of UA's head librarian. She said nothing as he lifted his books into the air, and, with a resounding slam that made her antenna twist and knot, dropped them on the table to gather Angel's attention.
Ah, perfect. A teacher here to scold the ignorant child that called herself a hero student. Just what Angelica needed.
Except she'd also been quite a bit bad herself with calling Angel names and hurling insults, but those had been deserved.
Angel was quick to attempt to correct Murakami-sensei on what exactly the source of her speed was. Angelica rolled her eyes. "It does not mat--" Wait, she managed to catch herself, Let the teacher handle this or you're just going to look worse. She bit her tongue and went quiet, ready for Tobias to talk instead. Or, at least, that was what she tried to do at first. But Angel just kept talking. Explaining. Excusing. Angelica's hand twitched at her side, unusually long fingers already in tight pink fists. Again trying explain away the food and drink. She wasn't alone in how much her Quirk cost her to keep up. In any other scenario Angelica might have been grateful for more sugar; her body required so much to create her healing candies after all. And she was a horrible sweet-tooth aside from that, but that was besides the point.
The point was Angel was getting her words in and Angelica was not. And she nearly got away with it, too, before she started calling Angelica "out" on her behavior.
"Excuse me?" Her voice shook just a little, her spine going rigid. "I was pointing out how you were actively breaking the rules of the library, not rambling on endlessly about some ridiculous plan that doesn't even make sense when one thinks even slightly on it! You are too young to take on a student hardly a year your junior as a sidekick! By the time you have even reached pro hero status, Joro-san will have been in the care of a different hero for up to two or even three years. Do you seriously think she'll just leave an pre-existing job with an experienced hero to go to you, who has none?"
This was going to look bad in front of a teacher.
But she had already called her rude, and accused her of being angry and ranting at her. She was already dragging her through the mud. Angelica was going to push her down with her. "If my reprimanding over such simple rules of the school and common sense were enough that you felt the need to rush me to make me listen to you, then you should reconsider which of us is unreasonable. Do not act like some saint just because you are willing to take a punishment that was already being aimed at you. You are not a martyr for getting in trouble. You are just an ordinary disobedient child."
She scoffed and turned her head to the side, not meeting Angel's look back at her an sought forgiveness. No. Not on her life. She lost any chance of "redemption" the moment she began to insult Angelica in the presence of a teacher.
Angelica started walking briskly away, but not before saying a small, tart "Yes sensei" to Tobias before doing so. He wasn't wrong. If Angelica was going to read, it wasn't going to be such childish swill. And she certainly wouldn't fight Angel over the right to sit there for any purpose. So she just went towards the other side of the library and the texts kept there.

and neither angel knows how to make a friend. smh. THE EXPRESSION THAT FLITTED THROUGH Toby's eyes could best be described as "the look a man makes when his soul leaves his body".
“Show me an un-quirked individual that moves as fast as you just did,” the Informant intoned, “And I’ll show you oceanfront property in Saitama.”
Saitama, being a landlocked city adjacent to Tokyo. Whether or not her wings had been used to move quickly, she’d moved at speeds impossible for a quirkless human to move.
“My offer for detention still stands. We could add a second week to discuss what does and does not qualify as ‘quirk use’ within my library?” Tobias adjusted his glasses. A simple apology followed by compliance would be enough to placate the crimson gentleman. Or, the winged child could continue their diatribe about they’d done no wrong. Tobias pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing heavily. Insubordination was certainly starting earlier and earlier with the younger generations, wasn’t it? He could only imagine the HOC nightmares that would follow such… dispositions.
And Surami-san certainly had a story for everything… they just needed to take their fights to the sparring ring, and keep them out of his library. He didn’t need—or want—every gruesome detail about the intricacies of student-life. Something about assuming tutelage over another student and having children, growing old, or dying in battle. Somewhere around there, Tobias’s attention waned and drifted towards the ramifications of spiking his tea while on-campus. He never would, mind you, but this was enough to make him entertain doing so.
Angelica’s waspish retort snapped the teacher back to reality and out of his reverie. It was… difficult to find an inroad, admittedly—primarily because Angelica wasn’t wrong. She could have communicated it better, certainly—and perhaps more quietly—but her timeline was accurate, in terms of the transition from sidekick to professional hero.
Having given her rather heated response, the pinkette gave a terse affirmation, and stalked towards the opposite side of the library. He’d deal with her once she simmered. Now, Angelica was entirely too wound-up to have any sort of productive conversation.
Angel, meanwhile, seemed intent on leaving.
“You are more than welcome to take your food back to the dormitory,” Tobias said simply. Surami seemed eager to make an escape, however long-winded her farewell was. And, well, if only one of the two parties involved remained in the library, there was no conflict to be had.

| A s Angelica once again began to reprimand her in her rather snob like way Angel remained silent, and just did her absolute best to ignore the girl's words as she was not the superior in the situation. The Librarian was. That calm silence as well as Angel's facial expression and body language changed as soon as Angelica called her an Ordinary disobedient child. These words triggered a memory of herself as a little girl locked in a metal crate as well as chained to the floor with her father standing over her reprimanding her in much the same way. When the memory ended Angel's muscles loosened to the point she dropped her book to the floor before they tensed up once more as a white hot angry flame blazed in her eyes. Despite her anger however she forced her now tense body to remain still as she glared at Angelica fighting the urge to hit her. Instead she just delivered one order. "Never call me that again."As the words left her mouth someone as wise as Mr.Murakami would hear not only the anger in Angel's voice, but a deep pain as if the other girl's words had stabbed her deep into the psyche. It took Mr.Murakami's voice to snap Angel out of her angry trance as Angel hadn't even realized that Angelica had walked away to the other side of the library. Angel quickly picked up her book and quickly wiped her right eye as she felt a tear of trauma go down the long, vertical and jagged scar that went half way down her face under said eye. She then turned to Mr.Murakami once more and put her trademark smile back onto her face as he asked her to name a quirkless individual who could move as fast as she could. "You are right sir I can't. I never really thought of my speed as part of my quirk, but I guess I do need the super strength gained by my quirk to use said speed. I apologize for arguing with you. Thank you for helping me adjust my perspective. I will not use my quirk within school grounds again unless given express permission from a teacher or staff. I'm going to go return my food items to my dorm now. I promise not to bring them again next time I come to the library."Angel then slipped her book inside of her satchel bag before bowing respectfully to her superior before giving him a two finger solute with her right hand. She then walked quickly out of the library, but made sure to not use her super speed as she promised not to despite how naturally it came to her. As she walked through the hallway she quickly checked her damaged cheek for any more stray tears as her smile faded for just a moment. "Just one sentence. That's all it took. Why does he still have such a strong hold on me?"Without another word Angel just silently returned to her dorm to try and clear her mind of the image that Angelica had dug up in her mind through a bit of book therapy into a world of gods, monsters and heroes.
