"Really...? Brought back for this...?"
Standing upon one of the rooftops opposing UA campus, the lone figure with tattered silver hair rubbed at the side of his neck. There was a stiffness there that wouldn't go away no matter how much he shifted, how much he rubbed. Even if coming back to life didn't come with being a heartless minion of that Loki bastard he might choose to pass if he was gonna be stuck with this crick in his neck for the rest of his second life. All the same, a heavy sigh fell through his lips as he looked over the campus. Hordes of undead were already rushing over the campus walls. Its defenses were strong and the heroes were potentially stronger... but what could you really hope to do against an almost innumerable force that didn't care for it's own safety, for it's own fallen, just crawling over them without a care to continue rushing in...
The kids were doing well. He'd admit that. Against something like this the fact they were even holding out was enough to bring a smile under his mask. Against him though... against one of those Loki had deemed 'special'? He wasn't so sure... and he didn't have a choice as to whether he could force them through this experience. He could feel it. That pull in his limbs. So natural but so alien in turn, like he was taking the next step himself, while somehow also being forced into it. One foot. Another. Another. He kicked off the edge of the rooftop and plummeted towards the ground. His red eye flicked swiftly around the air ahead of him and with an outstretched hand an imperceptible thread latched onto a nearby lampost, swinging at a harsh angle through the assaulting undeead, and flinging himself over UA's fences, flipping in the air as he came down into a harsh landing.
For a moment he lingered there, crouched, feeling the air shift as the more mindless examples of the undead rushed on past him. Whatever will he had left in his actions was digging his fingers into the grass, trying to embed himself in place. He didn't want to do this but... he knew he had to. This was a horrible quirk. A monsterous quirk. It brought him back to be used like a tool and to haunt those who'd long since dealt with his passing. If he was allowed to he was fairly sure he'd be puking up through sheer repulsion that such a quirk was allowed to exist...
Instead he was forced to stand, the dirt falling from his fingers, his gaze rising slowly, seeking the team of UA students holding out ahead of him. He felt that urge on his mind. Attack. Attack. ATTACK. Fine Loki. That's what you want? Like a bitchy genie I'm gonna interpret that as loosely as I can...!
Shifting his hands through the air the imperceptible threads of his quirk latched onto his finger tips, spreading out to his sides as he charged forth. With no clear rhyme or reason from the student's perspective they would see... blood. Eruptions of blood from the back of the undead horde. Clean cut limbs and slice bone briefly catching air time with the eruption of red slowly drawing closer and closer to them. The final undead to fall was directly infront of Tetsuko, likely about to suffer at the sharp end of her blade for once when it's face would be sliced into three pieces, it's torso and legs seperated into a further two, a blinking eye gazing upwards in confusion as it's rended body fell to pieces on the floor.
Soaked in red, Spymaster was the only undead remaining on UA campus before them. He rose to a stand, a tired, dull look on his face. Something shimmered at the tip of his fingertips, a hazy red mist clinging to the air around his hands before seeming to fade entirely itself. In a monotone voice, he simply said-...
"Hey."

If there was one consequence that this siege upon the hero academy would have for sure, then it was the fact that from now on Elise von Eisenberg would despise Halloween. If she had not been in the midst of the chaos herself she would had likely considered it an unpleasant and tasteless joke, but unfortunately, this had become reality. Indeed, in the wake of her escort onto the campus Elise had found herself in a problematic situation: her equipment had been damaged, meaning she couldn't coordinate forces like she had been used to, and instead found herself inside the campus grounds tending to the injured. It was fortunate that those zombies weren't like their movie variant, sure they might bite and claw at people, but those injured by them were not at risk of turning into mindless abominations. It was nothing some medical attention couldn't resolve in most cases, but the peace that was found within the campus wouldn't last forever. No, it was only a matter of time before the dead started to pile up against the walls and their sheer numbers literally started to climb over the walls like a tsunami wave. Luckily for the evacuated civilians, there were teams prepared for this, defenses in place for the moment the dead would indeed breach the perimeter. When the first flock of zombies started to appear inside the campus, they were the ones to react. Merlin, who had been assisting them had noted to her that the defense was in capable hands. Misako, while inexperienced was dedicated and a hard-working student and Elise was sure the girl would do her utmost to help protect everyone, then there was Kirk, who had clearly showed himself as a capable powerhouse, not to mention a skilled sportsman who could turn his hobbies into lethal weapons, she even heard Merlin joke the idea of Kirk dual-wielding a pair of bats and calling himself the 'Loud batterman Kirkito' although Elise was fairly certain that was a anime reference. Tsuji, while a student she knew little about was a freaking bear, and who didn't want a bear on their team when dealing with swarms of undead? She was by all means glad to know that Tsuji was on their side. Tetsuko of course needed no introduction, Elise was more than confident her lover would be able to slice and dice through any foe crazy enough to oppose her, living or dead. Still, even they could use help after all as strong as they might be, the invading army had the superiority of numbers, and exhaustion and injuries could pile up. Perhaps it was for that reason that Elise had gone to the area where they were making a stand. She was lucky enough only a few stragglers had made it past the group, nothing the former kunoichi couldn't handle by means of sneaking around and letting some of the students deal with them after she had glued them in place with her slime. Yet, nothing could have prepared her for what was about to happen. Elise had just arrived, having rushed to the group as she called out for them. "Anyone injured? Please let me know so I can give treatment before-" But her sentence was left unfinished. The arrival of a new threat that had decimated the previous wave of enemies had made Elise froze in her tracks. "I-Impossible..." The girl muttered, her face growing pale as the heavier steps of the robot approached her. "What's up master? You're looking like you seen a ghost." Yet as Merlin turned his head toward the direction she was staring at, he tilted his head slightly sideways. "Well, I guess you DID see a ghost." It should have been impossible for him to be here, she had seen him die, after all they had been on the same mission, he had breathed his last words in her arms, so to see him there, standing bloodied and 'alive' was enough to shake her to the core of her being. To think that this 'Loki' had gone as far as to reanimate her master, when she had heard that Spymaster's grave had been emptied she already felt enraged but now... to see that her mentor was being used as a weapon to attack the hero academy? It had gone beyond rage. But at the same time there was also grief, the awareness how she had failed him, not just by being unable to save him that night, but by the fact the decision to bury him in a secret location was what led to him being reanimated. Grief and self-loathing were dangerous things. "Master..." Elise spoke softly, the pain in her voice clearly there, but when she attempted to take a step forward she felt herself bumping lightly against the metal back of her robot. "Just a moment Master. Did you forget that your master was killed? People die when they are killed, so that cool looking ninja over there is not the same master you knew. Meatbags can't be repaired in such a way." The robot raised his arm, pointing his projectile launchers toward the man. "Stay back and take care of the others their injuries, I think I speak for all meatbags in the area that we don't want you to deal with this." Tap tap tap, the robot took a few step forwards and stepped among the others, leaving Elise to look troubled at the sight unfolding before her. She had to admit that Merlin had a point, as much as she liked to claim otherwise, her mind was a mess right now and she would be only a burden if she entered the battlefield. Still, a part of her wishes she could tell the others to run, she knew how strong her master was, and didn't want to risk seeing everyone get hurt, or worse... die at the hands of Spymaster. Then again, perhaps at least she could help tend to their injuries should it come to that...

Despite what laid out in front of him, Tsuji still couldn't quite believe the events that were unfolding. The dead had risen again, their spirits inhabiting the body they once resided in, now gross with sickly skin that would peel at every opportunity. He was scared, how could he not be? But, it was his duty to protect the school from the hordes, at all cost. Before the battle was to take place, Tsuji made sure to pay respects to the dead, as just going in guns blazing with no remorse would be extremely disrespectful. It was a real dilemma, as he saw the zombie forces walking across campus, and attempting to climb the walls that blocked it off from incursion so many times before. “Alright, gas bullets – check, arm – check, music – check.” he said to himself, sitting in the gymnasium. While he was to attack, he didn't want to without some kind of music to drown out the cries and groans of the zombies. He shuddered at the thought of anything breaking through. Popping in two specially made earbuds, the bear readied himself, pulling gym outfit on, and started the tune. It was something vaguely appropriate, from a game from around sixty-something years ago. Still sounded good. Walking out into the madness not too far away, he saw many other students putting on a show, attacking the undead with as much brutality as they could. The zombies were tough, clearly, if it was pushing people like Tetsuko and Kirk to their limits. However, Tsuji had gotten stronger too, and with the clicking and clacking of his metallic arm sounding through the field, whirring as he slotted in the first bullet, he was ready to take them on. Quickly, he ran towards the students who he had seen. Strength in numbers was paramount, it was a lesson he'd learnt from his time with Paw Might. Before he could reach them, a small party of the undead approached. “Forgive me, spirits!” he yelled, as he clenched his metallic hand into a fist, and rocketed towards the four or five enemies. Ducking and weaving, he hit them with jabs to their heads, blood sliding off of the iron and steel. Each time he did, he felt the arm get hotter and hotter, ready to attack. But these guys were less of an issue, he didn't need to use his burning hand yet. Tsuji jumped back, dashing to the zombies, his arm outstretched, clotheslining them in the process. They tried to munch on the metal as he did so, and as a result, he carried the group through, tossing them aside. In the delirious state they were in, they remained floored, except one. The bear came in again, low this time, and gave an uppercut to the one standing – their head cracked, as they were now only gazing at the sky, blood spurting from the stump that was now there. It wasn't detached, but it was out of commission. The sight was disgusting, he didn't want to look any longer than he had to. These spirits were treated poorly by the one who had brought them back, known only as Loki. As he finally made it to where most of the fight was taking place, Tsuji offered help, attacking larger groups with harder hits. At one point, he even grasped the leg of one zombie, lifted it above, and whacked another couple with the body, then tossing it aside. After a fair bit of battle, the grounds were lacking in large swaths of zombies like they had before. As he was putting his foot down and stopping them from advancing, however, a large pool of blood suddenly came from beyond, and soon enough, the reason for why so many had fallen in such quick speed was here. It was Spymaster. He was a teacher at UA, and was declared dead about a year ago – he had been revived as well, it seemed, however not in the groaning, stumbling manner most of the spirits' bodies had become. His skin was cracked, grey, like a broken statue. Elise, not too far from him, seemed distraught – Tsuji was aware of their bond, not knowledgeable about the details, however. When it came to the teachers, he saw more of Geist and Paw Might than anyone else, but Spymaster was still once a pillar of the school community. To see him brought back by Loki too was an insult more than anything. “Teacher? Your spirit is inhabiting your body again too?” he said, in a rather upset tone. Not sad, more or less confused, with a mixture of annoyance at Loki more than the teacher.

Post by Misako Suzuki on Jul 30, 2020 9:37:35 GMT -4
Misako Suzuki had not been a hero for very long, and was hardly qualified to stand next to people like Tetsuko, Elise, or Tsuji. No, she was under experienced and under powered in comparison, but she was a hard worker and determined to at the very least not slow them down. So when they talked about the plan, where the students like her would hold off the zombies and protect Elise as she healed any of the injured that had retreated to safety, Misa nodded despite the fear she felt crawling up her throat. Or was that bile? There was a gnarly smell coming from the invaders too. Unless she was just imagining that? No time to dwell as she took her position, looking at the sheer numbers swarming the campus. 'If you can save just one person, you've done your job!' She reminded herself and nodded as she took a defensive stance that was less than perfect at best. 'It's just like the training at Fort Slog, except well... all the danger.' Yeah, that was a reassuring thought, but it gave her a basis of where she should start. She took a few steps forward and paper peeled off her skin to create half of a wide cage behind her. She stood in front of it, waiting for the zombies to reache her as paper wings grew out of her back. When the dead did catch up, she ran towards her cage, concentrating on finishing the other half of it to trap as much of the horde as she could inside of it. She was fast, but she didn't want to seal the cage too quickly so only stayed a step ahead of the mob as she slid out of the back side of the cage before sealing it off. Looking back with pride, it seemed that her plan had worked rather well. There were about a dozen of zombies stuck inside her cage, cramped up and pushing on the paper bars in an attempt to escape. It wouldn't be that easy, though. Her paper was quite durable- for paper at least. "Yousoro~" She hadn't really dealt with them yet, obviously, but she made it so they wouldn't have to worry about them at least. That said, about a dozen of those creatures meant little in the face of the entire horde. There were a few running around the cage towards her and she summoned herself a weapon of paper. On instinct, the edge was dull but then she remembered who she was facing and frowned, making the edge sharper. She didn't want to hurt anyone but... well, she needed to help protect Elise as she saved the injured so there was no time to hesitate! She met them head on, not wanting them to get passed her. Her strikes were quick, but sloppy and untrained. Against a mob of zombies, that was enough though. A couple fell as the other two crashed into Misa, one biting her arm roughly and drawing out some blood. She bit her tongue to stop from grunting in pain, and was debating a plan to get out of this situation when her entire field of vision became red. A huge attack, a large pool of blood, went across the battlefield and wiped out the zombies that were hurting Misa and even the ones she had locked away in the cage. "What the..?" She looked around, the cage disappearing and paper returning to her as she rubbed her wounded arm. It would heal well enough on it's own with her regeneration. Elise seemed shaken in a way that Misa hadn't seen from the elder before. There was a new zombie in front of them that seemed... special to say the least. It didn't take long for it to be revealed that he was a teacher of some kind. That... made the paper user feel incredibly sad. A villain that would turn a teacher against their own students? Even for a bad guy, that seemed awfully low. Elise gathered her composure and offered to heal wounds. Misa glanced at her small injury, but shook her head. "I'm fine, this is nothing! My own regeneration can handle it, I promise!" Whether Elise believed her or not was a different story. She made her way closer to the group, a paper blade in both her hands and her wings grown out to full size. She looked to the others to take the lead. After all, if this was their teacher they knew more about his abilities than Misa and would have a much better plan likely. So she just remained at the ready. "What's the plan here guys..? I'll follow your lead, and I won't slow you down. I promise." A promise that the girl was really hoping she would be able to keep at this rate.

Post by Kirk Bluster on Jul 31, 2020 8:09:03 GMT -4
It had pretty much been a pretty normal day for Kirk, aside from this whole evening. He had had his jog in relative peace and he had laid down for a bit of muscle based relaxation, before he found out he had been plopped down in the middle of a zombie horror flick. With all the weird announcements sounding, some that he didn't exactly expect to be prepared, he was pretty much put onto the front lines of the fight. And with a quite colourful cast! Two of his earliest bros, Elise and Tetsuko, his classmate in Tsuji, as well as... a first year. Admittedly, Kirk was a little bit surprised by this. The girl must have had a lot of guts and been proud of her abilities! So why not. However, as much as Kirk knew about fighting and what not, there was one thing he had to pretty much try to mentally block himself from: Zombies were pretty much humans. They lumbered around of course and sounded more like him just before lunchtime after classes and smelled like... well, him before lunchtime after classes, but they looked like people all the same. Heck, with them having a permission to decimate them completely and destroy them, Kirk had a hard time getting into the mindset of it. Killing wasn't part of his heroic ideal! However, with the amount of them, and knowing zombies abilities to just stand up when needed, Kirk had to come up with a compromise. With a simple clap to his ears and shaking of his head, he implanted a thought into himself. They are just robots. Just like those training bots when training with Darren. They can just be reassembled after. No need to worry about being brutal...! And with Tsujis music ringing in his ears and all the gear in his pouch, Kirk was going full on ham on the supposed 'bots'! For now, his weapon was his trusty hockey stick. The almost hook like crooked end allowed him to pretty much grab zombies by their neck, and beat them with each other. Whenever he seemed to get overwhelmed, the boy would open his pouch, and do a tornado like swing with his hockey stick in front, and pouch hammering behind him, leaving behind pretty much lonely pelvises without an upper body. However, like a good sportsman, the boy was still trying to offer tips to the others. "If you can't hit em in the head, hit em in the legs or the foot! These guys are balanced like a drunk uncle!" He proceeded to do a classic hockey swing, making the poor thing in front of him flip sideways, before he slammed his foot down on its head, exploding it into a mess... God, this was a way to test a new pair alright. "Gives you a perfect position to finish em off!" However, as usual, he took this one step further. Because there were so many of them, wasting balls on single targets was quite risky. So, Kirk came up with a substitute. Slamming the zombie first sideways like before, He chopped its head separate from the body with the side of the stick, and then, shot it like a puck into the crowd! "FORE!" His echoing voice flew across the area, as the foes in the way of the puck fell over with ease. He even proceeded to do it again, but this time, launching the head into the air, and kicking it into the ground like a big ol goal shot! "I think you smarter types can agree, that using all resources are pretty important huh?!" However, as he was clapping his hands for another good shot... the army of zombies suddenly exploded into gore. As someone landed. "Dunno if this is a good or a bad thing..." As the person got closer, Elise was the first to give a reaction, and Kirk lifted an eyebrow. He recognized this guy too. "You, huh?" Kirk had perhaps missed the announcement of his death. This guy was the person, who had pretty much introduced him to U.A:s version of classes. He replaced his hockey stick with a baseball bat. "This guy probably won't be so easy to knock down." He stretched his legs. So he was the one who had taken Elise out of the school for different sort of training. And for some reason, despite killing the zombies, Kirk had a feeling he wasn't here to help them. However, compared to others who mostly gave off these saddened and confused grunts, Kirk wasn't gonna be as nice to a guy he presumed to be an enemy! "HEY! NINJADUDE, or whatever your name was! Stealthy muppet!" He shouted out like a taunt. "Did you come to check how good of a place this is for Elises education!?" He tried to lift the mood of others up, to get them ready for action. "Cause lemme tell ya, been a while since we've seen, and I can atleast say I've improved a LOT since you made me play tag with the others in the fields!" That, and to see if the guy really was himself, or some dang former image of a man they used to know. "And that's not just we class-C members! The B-class and 1st years are as good as ever, as you can see!" But in the end, if this thing spoke like a regular person... Kirk couldn't help but feel a bit of doubt in himself, if he could actually put this guy down. For now he just had to hope that wasn't the case.

Post by Tetsuko Shindou on Aug 3, 2020 6:25:49 GMT -4
Tetsuko was quite glad her family had always followed a tradition of cremation. When the dead rise, she took some guilty solace in the fact that she was quite unlikely to know any of those walking corpses personally... Yet, the same could not be said for many others. Every 'zombie', every walking heap of decaying flesh and bone was someone's child. Maybe someone's parent, or sibling, or lover... To bring them back from beyond the grave, back in this twisted form, was a truly repulsive act, one that the Shindou girl would not abide by. She wanted to return peace to these walking dead, but first of all, she'd have to protect the living. In response to the mindless threats wandering throughout the city, the Hero academy had set itself up as a safe haven against the swarm. A place to keep them in sanctuary until a solution to this violent situation could be found... However, there was never any hope of keeping them safe without fighting back, and in time, the walls that protected U.A. were overwhelmed, and a number of students had to protect the facilities and those helpless masses housed within. Their numbers were few, but they were strong enough to hold back the tide of the undead. Misako, an inexperienced student who was nonetheless dedicated. Kirk, someone who Tetsuko was willing to trust with her very life. Tsuji, a hardworking bear who was giving his all. Then, Tetsuko. With a blade in hand, she stood. A blade like many others, but for the first time, with the intention of using the weapon against others… Tetsuko’s blade was sharp. As everyone fought around her, Tetsuko did her part. She did what she had to do. There was no use in thinking of the zombies as alive. The people who had inhabited those bodies were long since dead, and Tetsuko could not see any reason for the dead to rise… The past was to remain the past, the truth of what had happened could not and should not be changed. She believed this with all her heart, and as such… Believed it was only right to return these bodies back to rest. Tetsuko took a deep breath, stepping forward towards a group of them with her eyes focused. She saw the image on her mind, she visualised her sword passing through their necks, severing the head from these walking corpses, causing them to fall, and return to rest, in a violent flurry of blows. And in the next moment, that image became reality. She moved like a storm, charging forth, unyielding and unwavering, her blade dancing around her in deadly, powerful arcs that severed the heads of each zombie she cut through. Her body exploded with each cut, her blade like the strike of lightning. Explosive acceleration felled all those foes around her, staining her blade with blood. ’Spring Form: Eight Phase Burst’
As the blood fell to the ground, she returned her sword to stance, prepared for the next wave. Tetsuko made sure to grip her sword tightly, for she was sure that if she did not, her hands might begin to tremble. For returning the dead to death was no small task... ”Please, be at peace.”As Tetsuko breathed in, calming herself for what approached next, she suddenly heard a familiar voice call out from nearby. The swordswoman had known Elise was nearby, helping support them, but hadn’t expected her to come by them so soon. Just as she was turning towards the girl, however, a wave of dread washed over Tetsuko. Instead, her eyes turned back to the battlefield. Blood rained, and a powerful threat decimated their foes with sickening speed. Torn to shreds, every one of them, in a gorey display. As a body, rended to pieces, fell before Tetsuko, she turned her gaze up to see a blood soaked figure… One who was all too familiar… A wave of disgust struck her. She felt like she might throw up from the sight - from that villain’s willingness to do this much. There were no shades of grey with this Loki. To revive Elise’s former master, to bring him here… A man who’d lived a life like his deserved rest, and Tetsuko would not see him denied it. Fortunately, these feelings felt less like stressors and more like… Fuel. Anger and disgust were things Tetsuko had learned to deal with in these days. To despise wicked men was something she took in stride… Tetsuko glanced to her sides, seeing her other schoolmates ready and prepared for what came next. For what had to come next. ”Kirk’s right. We’ve improved. Even the DC is managing without you. There’s no need to worry, so…” Tetsuko breathed in deep, shifting her sword in stance, dropping her weight and entering a position not unlike the poised postures of iaijutsu. ”Please, Sensei. Return to your rest.”Tetsuko glanced behind her, back to Elise, giving her a knowing look. They would not let this stand, that much she promised… Tetsuko was sick of wicked people having their way, so she wasn’t going to let Loki make Spymaster suffer any more. She wasn’t going to let even her weakness get in the way of this. She was sick, and tired, and fed up… With the past haunting them. ”... Everyone… Don’t die.”

Kiryu let out a heavy sigh, closing his darkened eyes as he rubbed at the back of his neck... if he ever got to open his eyes again he never wanted it to be like this. That nagging sensation in the center of his brain telling him what to do, yelling at him with all his might, justifying what he was doing now as just... a pause in his steps. But it wouldn't let him take it for long. It needed him to keep going. Another step. Then another. He needed to hurt these kids. He knew that wasn't an option to him in his current state... but there were a lot of ways he could at least work with it... do something good with it in his eyes.
His voice was tired as he spoke through his mask, not amused by Kirk's attempted jokes, but admiring his and Tetsuko's efforts to remain calm in the face of this face before them, his hands lowering to his side, flexing his fingers in and out, getting a feel for the super violet threads connected to his fingertips, his red gaze moving across the party before him, debating how best to approach them. "I'd say you can call me spymaster but..." His gaze drifted to Elise... fuck he hated this. He'd wish he could just die but was that even an option to him anymore? "Pretty sure I gave that name to her... Sensei, Master, Kiryu... call me what you like... just know I can't go easy on you..."
His hands pulled into tight fists at his side, gritting his teeth, his mask doing a lot to hide the pain he was feeling trying to hold himself back... but he had to act now, the nagging sensation was eating into him too deep. A hard kick off the ground and he was rushing forward to close the gap between them again, the blood on his face streaking off to the sides, leaving deep dry lines on his features, never fully removing the evidence of what he'd been drenched in moments before. "Sorry kids, but class is in session."
Reaching out with his hands, he grasped and tugged backwards to his sides, the practically imperceptible threads shimmering briefly thanks to his influence, wrapping around the legs of Tetsuko and Elise, trying to drag their legs out from under them. He knew from experience what they were capable of. Tetsuko's skill alone could fight him to a stand still and Elise... well, her quirk was the most annoying of the bunch he knew here. Unique. Malleable. Difficult to predict. He had to use her stunned state to her advantage... he had to be brutal. He had to make her learn. She could be a sensitive soul afterall and if anyone was going to take advantage of this... he wanted it to be himself, just to ensure she'd never let anyone else do the same.
"Lets start with two quick pointers. A primary objective in any fight is identifying your opponents quirk! Who wants to fill their team mates in!" Rushing directly for Kirk, he ducked and weaved low to keep his motions in a zig zag pattern. His red eye met Kirk with a fierce gaze, striking him with the aura of killer intent... a distraction. He leapt into the air above him, spinning and reaching down. Kirk would feel the two remaining weapons, the racket and the hockey stick, yanked out of his sack, both items rushing towards Tsuji (racket) and Misako (Hockey stick) aiming to strike each of them in the face. He landed on the wall of UA, turned to face the kids, his imperceptible threads locking him in place as he stuck to the wall, gesturing with a free hand. "Bonus lesson! Secure your equipment before your foe can turn it against you!"

It was a painful reunion, the way in which he spoke, the way his gaze settled onto her, it haunted her. Despite her training and desire, Elise was still someone that cared, cared too much and that sensitive nature was being exploited by Loki right now. Even as Tetsuko glanced back at her, that look that tried to wordlessly reassure her, was only barely enough to calm down Elise. "Tetsu-" However, against an enemy like her deceased master that was enough of an opportunity for him to exploit. Suddenly feeling the strong pull around her legs, a soft gasp escaped the girl's lips as she was yanked backward, her legs falling out from underneath her and making the girl fall onto the ground with a heavy thud. Of course, to the others, it might have been a confusing chain of events but Elise knew all too well what the cause had been. Even if they were almost impossible to see, their subtle manipulation caused feint ripples to surge through her being: the wires her master could create and manipulate like a puppeteer.
Of course, that moment of weakness caused Merlin to turn toward the fallen master, his arm lifted as he attempted to fire a volley of projectiles at the incoming man, but unfortunately, the shinobi's speed was way too impressive for him to land a clean shot, and by the time he reached Kirk, Merlin was forced to hold his fire or risk hitting one of the students!
Kiryu's ominous warning as he reminded the group how important it was for identifying the capacities of their enemy made Elise grit her teeth for a moment, she truly had never expected this day to come, but she wasn't going to let her beloved mentor be forced to take the lives of one of his students after he was finally given the freedom to rest in peace, a freedom that had been cruelly robbed from him. "Master's quirk involves the manipulation of nearly invisible wires!"
Her body dissolving into its slime form the slime girl slipped out from the wires that had bound her, just in time for her to see Kiryu maneuvering past Kirk and steal two of the hero in training's weapons, the fling toward Tsuji and Misako clearly a cause of concern, but fortunately, Misako was fairly close to her.
With a nimble hop Elise materialized in front of Misako, defiantly shielding her from the trajectory of the incoming hockey stick, and with the weapon digging itself into her shoulder Elise pulled the hockey stick out and brandished it like a makeshift sword. "Sorry sensei, but as Spymaster it would be quite inappropriate for me to let you harm my student that easily."
She smiled weakly, recalling how Misako had called her master before, and while her body's regeneration was slowly stirring into motion, healing the area that had dealt with the impact of the blunt weapon earlier, Elise raised a hand toward Misako, the slime on her hand extending toward Misako as she attempted to help faster the healing of the girl's earlier injury.
"Tetsu, Kirk, Tsuji, Misa... Master's weakness is in his eyes, he can't manipulate the wires properly without his sight so if you can somehow obscure his vision, you might be able to get closer to him."
To be honest, she felt pathetic by having to remain on the backline but it was the sad truth of the matter: her combative skills had weakened significantly in comparison to when she left the hero academy, and for the time being all she could do was assist them like this...

It seemed through the way the undead teacher talked, that he was clearly hiding something, some deep-seated pain. Perhaps it was from the villain's influence on him, or some kind of outside force yet unknown to the group – all that was certain for now was that he was hell bent on attacking the school. Tsuji would not allow that, and neither would anyone else, he was sure of it. Not being able to go easy on them seemed obvious enough, but Spymaster seemed to take it further – he was making a lesson out of this. A twisted lesson of importance, in the midst of a life or death situation, where he was the death. With a kick forth, the teacher joined the battle, leaving Tsuji no other option but to do what he did best: protect what he held dear. The problem with this is that while he had little attachment to the teacher, that meant he had little experience with what his quirk was. The revenant even pointed that out, in the first of his knowledge. It felt more like mockery if anything. Thankfully enough, Elise spilt the beans in that regard – invisible wires seemed like a pretty simple thing at first thought, but the practical application in a fight allowed for ranged attack, up close brawling, and quick getaways. And from the information the teacher was spouting out, it seemed he was well aware of the strategy involved in using it. Tetsuko and Elise found themselves wrapped up and hurt, and in his own path, Spymaster had taken some of Kirk's weapons, and thrown them – one going right for him. Tsuji, in a quick spot of thought, moved out of harm's way, and smacked the racket towards Kirk, hopefully not breaking it or hitting him with it. Soon enough, Spymaster moved behind them over to the wall, announcing yet another mocking lesson. It was their turn to attack now. “Teacher, we've grown past the need for your lessons. Whatever that villain did to you, it's evil – and we won't let you talk down to us! We'll teach you a thing or two, how about that?” said the bear, as he switched into his First Count stance. Defence was optimal here, and advantage over the ground was more important. Spymaster had it at the moment, but if they were to gain control of the battleground, he would have to rely on attacking head on. Strategy was the winner here. However, a secondary option was gained; Elise mentioned a weakness in his quirk – it depended on sight. If that was gone, then he'd have less control of both his quirk, and the field. “Thanks, Elise. Everyone, try to defend. The more ground he covers, the less we have to attack!” said Tsuji, as he turned back to the teacher on the wall, held up by those wires. Quickly, the bear rushed towards the teacher on all fours, weaving so as to hopefully not catch himself in the teacher's quirk. At high speed, he would jump up, and begin to activate his arm, heating it up. As he would come down, he would feign a kick attack, hopefully causing Spymaster to dodge – if he would, Tsuji would use the momentum from the kick to try and springboard himself towards the teacher and try to grab his upper body, whether it be an arm, shoulder, or even the head, and fully activate the hand of the arm, a gas cartridge pinging out to create a short-range burning explosion. Advantage had to be gained somehow, after all – even if it was against a former teacher.

For a few moments after the arrival of there new foe there was a tense silence that hung over the air and the sparks flying from Tetsuko to Elise mixed with the posturing of the bear like third year and Kirk made Misa feel out of place. This was a real fight, with real stakes and real consequences. Was she afraid? Was that why this moment seemed to drag on so long and last for eternity? She exhaled a breath that she didn't realize she was holding as Elise and Tetsuko fell to the ground from seemingly nothing. Just like that, the calm was over and the chaos found a home in the air. Misa took a step towards the man but as he charged forward she was clearly outmatched in speed. The killing aura that radiated off of their enemy made Misa hesitate. They were going against her meister's master, and the man was a terrifying monster. The shift in his attack to grab the weapons off the back of her ally and launch them at her was not predicted at all, and she meekly raised her arms in an attempt to block. She braced for pain that never came, and when she looked for a reason she saw Elise in front of her. She took the attack for Misa, and for a moment that hurt worse than the attack possibly could have. 'I'll follow your lead, and I won't slow you down. I promise.' Yeah, what a load of crap that was. Before she even realized it, Elise was healing the minor injury on her arm and making Misa feel even more like some useless baby here. She looked at Elise with a determined stare and nodded. She needed to regain her confidence and prove herself if she wanted any chance of being useful to the team around her. "His eyes? I can help with that." Tsuji, the bear, took the front line and Misa was thankful for that. With an enemy this powerful, Misa wouldn't last even a few moments against him in a straight up battle of power. So, with a flap of her wings she took to the sky and hovered above in a supportive role. She pointed her hand forward at the sensei, who was treating this whole thing like it was just some type of lesson. In a way, it really was just a lesson wasn't it? A lesson with real consequences. "Scattershot!" Out of the palm of her hand, many sheets of paper flew forward and flew through the air wildly. It was far from a perfect smokescreen, but it would do a lot to help to disrupt the Spymaster's vision from a distance. Between this and Tsuju's relentless attacks Misa hoped that one of the others would be able to find a proper opening to land a significant blow. Misa had heard stories of the legendary number one student Tetsuko, and the rankings might have changed but she was still eager to see what the top students would be capable of in a situation like this. Not that she wanted to count Kirk or Tsuji out, either, but she just hadn't had the privilege of working with these two or hearing much about them. She felt sure that just by the small displays against the zombie hoard that they were more than just a little capable, though. She expected great things out of these third years, and would support them as much as she possibly could in this battle. That, mixed with Elise's healing abilities made Misa breathe evenly even in the intense situation that presented itself. For now, at least.

There was something about hearing Tetsu request them to not die, that had Kirks hairs rise to attention. His pose shifted into a little bit more combatty one in agreement. 'I ain't gonna make the others worry', he thought. With him giving his name and other things, he just ended it with a big ol 'can't go easy on you'. Kirk tried to smirk. "Oh yeah? Like that wasn't a usual part of our usual curriculum!" But at that instant, the man charged. Immediately, he did something, that tried to pull his pair of bros off their feet! "Tetsu! Eli!" However, as soon as he got those words out, the man charged towards with a look in his eyes, that Kirk didn't get to feel that often. It made him think of Risaka, but ten times worse! Instinctively, he raised his bat in front of him, ready to swing it immediately at him after getting hit...
But instead, no attack came! Instead the man jumped over him, as he could feel a strong tug against his backpouch! He could feel his items tugged out, as he couldn't do much but turned and try to grab em back, as the man chucked them towards his bros, taunting him in the process! Kirk grunted in annoyance, his grip around his bat and the only item left in his pouch tightening. Luckily however, it seemed like Elise had atleast taken one of the hits instead of the younger student, and Tsuji, reliable as usual, threw his racket back to him! "Thanks bro!" However, as he sheathed it, a lot of things kept happening around him. Elises tip about his weakness being his vision did catch his ears a bit.
With tsuji, and the first year having Spymasters attention, Kirk was pretty much put on support duties... How could he help them whilst also attacking? It's not like he could blind him any other way, except throwing dirt in his eyes... "Wait, that's it!" He quickly sheathed his bat, while launching the basketball into his hands. "Gotta just make the whole area hard to see in, right?!" He fell backwards onto his back, launching himself into the air, at first it looking like he was just aiming towards Spymaster held by Tsuji! "NUCLEAR DUNK!" However, he would proceed to slam the ball towards the ground, with or without spymaster on it, like a humongous asteroid! And like the name of the move went, a humongous dust cloud would grow from the impact, with small bits of guts, blood and other things left by the zombies mixed in!
"Let's hope that's enough of a smoke bomb to impress a ninja!" Afterwards, he would bounce back a little, still in the dust cloud, preparing himself mentally... who knows, other attacks might be coming his way already!

Tetsuko didn't know what to make of the re-animated teacher... He seemed more aware than most of the undead they'd been dealing with, and they had no way of knowing if this was a genuine revival, or taunts from whatever villain was behind this unforgivable sin. Yet, the more Spymaster spoke, the clearer it became, that even if his body was under the control of someone else, some part of the original man still remained. Maybe that was wishful thinking, maybe it was just what they needed to believe to accept his words. Either way, Tetsuko's objective didn't change...
To be reanimated and made into a puppet for a villain... That wasn't a fate that a man like Spymaster deserved. Perhaps it was just presumptuous of her, but Tetsuko thought someone like him, someone who'd had to do many questionable things for the sake of protecting the public... He deserved some rest. The only real way that someone like him could gain sanctuary from their past, and leave what was left for those who inherited the future.
They'd put him back to rest, for his sake, and for Elise's. Not that it would be easy at all, given Spymaster's overwhelming strength, and the fact he had little intention of toning it down for them... Tetsuko had little belief she could handle the man without significant backup, and the way she was taken off guard by the man's nigh invisible wires only confirmed that, pulling Tetsuko off her feet and having her fall to the ground.
Grunting slightly as she tumbled back, Tetsuko quickly rolled to her stomach and had blades emerge from her ankle and shin, aiming to cut the wire or at least give pace for her to pull her foot out. As she got to her feet, Tetsuko spotted Kirk's tools being appropriated by the Spymaster, being flung towards Tsuji and Misa. Fortunately, the two got out without much trouble. If only for the help of Elise, with Tetsuko's eyes widening in a small shock when her girlfriend took that hit.
Tetsuko was long since done with letting others take the hits.
Elise provided the much needed intelligence for this fight, and the students all moved into action. It seemed Tsuji was ready to engage in close quarters, while Misa and Kirk attacked from a distance. Not willing to be left out of this, or fail in her duties, Tetsuko acted. Attack Spymaster's eyes was going to have to be left up to the others - she just wanted his attention.
"Acting so lively... I think I'm tired of these lessons..." The Shindou girl muttered to herself, before rushing towards Spymaster, whose attention was likely on the other students. "Sensei!" She called out, trying to further his attention, as the sword in her hand quickly changed shape, forming into a bow, arrows forming on her other hand. As she approached on foot, Tetsuko aimed a pair of arrows at Spymaster's legs, loosing them with the intent to pierce.

As Tsuji aimed a strike at Spymaster's front, Tetsuko would move around to his side while she got close, again aiming to divide his attention as her bow changed shape into a blade, which she would attempt to swing at one of his hands as she dashed in, aiming to sever it and thus his violet threads...

The kids were fast, and even in her fear Elise was able to relay all the information they needed. His key weakness... maybe they'd have a chance here. He could resist his urges sure, shift them a little, but without that knowledge these kids might have faced the fate of that zombie horde sooner or later. He took a deep breath through his mask, satisfied that they weren't dissapointing him now of all times. Maybe this time he'd manage to die with a smile on his face... it'd be nice to go back to sleep after all this...
With the cover of paper shards from above they'd begun exploiting his weakness, his red eye darted sharply left right up down trying to find the strands within the mess of it all, but a more present threat came up close, a sharp kick towards him from Kenji. Using the strands close to him her flipped backwards up along the wall, his hands and feet managing to remain glued to the surface thanks to their aid, defying gravity as if the wall was his floor. He watched that kick embed itself in the wall beneath him. good now-
PHWIP PHWIP
His feet moved sharply, catching the sound of the incoming arrows and watching as they landed where he would have been, ready to embed him in the wall and force him to remain stationary. "Sharp moves kids but-" They weren't done. Where he'd thought Tsuji had made his move the bare was suddenly up in his face, and with an arm raised from shifting away from the arrows, Tsuji had a very easy grasp of his forearm. This itself wasn't worrying. He could easily use the fact Tsuji wanted to be up and in his face to his advantage... it was the metalic cling that caught his attention. There was more to this prosphetic than it seemed. He had to think fast. Tsuji had a strong grasp on his arm but he had no purchase thanks to being in the air so his weight would be easy to manipulate. Tetsuko was coming in from the side, blade ready-!
He wrenched his arm out to the side, into the path of Tetsuko's blade. Where she'd aimed for a wrist she'd get an elbow instead, the force of his thrown arm meaning that the moment it was severed Tsuji would be sent on a collision course with Tetsuko, a loose limb in his grasp that would explode with the force of his attack, the fire of the eruption harmless to himself... at the cost of a limb perhaps.
Finally. Kirk. A more forward approach. No flare, no disguise, no faint to it all. He felt like berating it but when all your allies were dealing in trickery or hidden strikes, being the one person being so obvious was in itself a method of trickery, as your foe would never be expecting it... and it was very Kirk. With Tsuji and Tetsuko put aside, he had room to deal with Kirk, leaping past his attack, the slender nature of his weapon making it easy enough to slip past, using his own acrobatic talent to kick off of Kirk like a platform before he began to fall back towards the ground, shooting him high above the heads of everyone in play, a shower of paper and dust beneath him.
"Goooood work kids. I'd give you a round of applause but I might need a hand." Were puns something he did when he was alive? Eh screw it that one was worth it whatever the case. Above the blinding clouds and the paper girl's head, sadly not aware of her name, he reached out with his remaining hand. He made several sweeping gestures down towards the ground, blind cuts and streaks cutting through the earth and leaving deep brown lines from where the grass had been parted to show the mud beneath. A swathe of wires also wrapped around the girl as he spun in the air above her, tightening the wires and pulling them tight around her like an invisible coccoon locking up her arms, cutting through her paper wings. He had the urge to pull tighter, to dice her like an onion, but it was an urge he managed to resist. The arc of his leap was now weighed with a 'paper weight' attatched to his wires, flipping about and slamming her into the ground ahead of him, the impact letting him fling himself past her, a good distance from the group again.
The paper girl was released from the coccoon but the impact had likely knocked a good chunk of air from her lungs. His red eye searched for something, lowing his good hand to his side. "This lesson? Even as a hero calculated losses must be made. Not with civilian lives but with yourself. Of course..." He raised his stump, the gooey flesh aready re-forming into something resembling a hand. "It's preferable if it's a loss you can recover..."
His somber moment was cut harshly as he grasped the air sharply with both hands, and dragged backwards. As the dust cloud began to fade, the many cuts he'd blindly made into the ground would re-surface. He had effectively laid down a net of deadly wires in the ground beneath them, found the end of it outside the cloud, and now it was rising from beneath their feet like a deadly trap, trying to cut and maim them while also dragging them closer to him on his own terms.

Tetsuko didn't miss Spymaster flinging his arm into the path of her blade, much to her surprise. Was he really willing to cripple himself so quickly just to escape Tsuji's grasp? Her sword cleaved cleanly through the elbow, with Spymaster's desperate move putting Tsuji right on a collision course with Tetsuko. This wasn't a good time to get crushed underneath a bear, so Tetsuko acted quickly, stepping her heel into the ground, pulling her sword back, and using her free hand and flat of her blade placed softly against Tsuji's mass. In a delicate movement, she'd pivot him around her body with minimal force, redirecting his weight in a gentle throw that would bring him to the ground with control, giving him the chance to find his footing.
'Summer Form: Gentle Cycle'
He'd likely need a few steps to catch himself, but it was preferable to a full collision. "Tsuji-san, what was in that canister?" Tetsuko would quickly call out as soon as he was safe, turning her eyes back to Spymaster to see what he did next. His movements were curious, his willingness to discard that arm for the sake of avoiding Tsuji's attack rather odd. All that skill, and all that effort... Seemed uncharacteristically desperate.
He was, otherwise, deft and fearless, leaping off Kirk's back and into the air to escape their efforts at blinding him. Not only that, but following a taunt, he unleashed a flurry of cuts from beyond the dust, raining down a hellish if blindly targeted storm. Tetsuko raised her blade in a sudden and makeshift defense, shocked into action by how dire this movement was. The blind slashes rained down, and most did not meet their mark, save for a glancing cut here and there, leaving cuts on her brow and arms. They stung, but Tetsuko counted herself lucky to still have all her limbs after that attack.
Others were not quite so unharmed... Misako was plucked from the sky by wires, and flung violently into the ground below. "Misako-chan!" Tetsuko called out in shock, rushing over towards the girl just as Spymaster taunted them once more. The Shindou girl grit her teeth in frustration, growing tired and weary of all this teaching from a man who deserved his rest... However, as she noted how quickly his body regenerated, Tetsuko remained more and more uncertain.
If his regeneration was so, why had he been so desperate to escape Tsuji's grasp? Was it because of his regeneration that he discarded his arm readily? Something about it just... Didn't click...
However, Tetsuko had little chance to think about it, as his next attack was already unleashed. As the dust began to fade, it would become apparent his earlier blind cuts were not a reckless attack, but a setup for his next offensive. A deadly net had been laid beneath them, and was being dragged towards them violently. Misako was still grounded, so Tetsuko needed to act quickly!
"To me!"
Tetsuko cried out. Some might not need her aid, but she didn't exactly have time to specify that. She trusted them to act smartly, as Tetsuko darted over to Misako. Iron erupted from her legs, covering them with iron armor, while metal also emerged even further from her arms, forming a thick, wide, iron shield. to 'catch' parts of the net and defend it from the front.. A powerful but desperate defense, against an attack that not all could avoid. Tetsuko would grab Misako around the waist with one arm, lifting her with her up and holding her shield up in the other direction, to create a 'safe area' by stepping on some of the wires with her hopefully sufficient leg armor, while preventing some of the wire with her shield.
"Damn your sacrifices... We're strong enough, sensei, so there's no need to tell us what we have to lose!" Tetsuko would yell out, as much to bolster her own will, as she aimed to be the primary defense against this powerful attack!

At the very least, Tsuji had managed to catch the teacher off guard – he latched onto his arm, and heated the hand up to reaction heat, however at the same time, the arm was completely severed. He couldn't stop the reaction now, but it wasn't for naught. The explosion occurred just after a possibly life-saving push away from Tetsuko, using her sword to lightly throw him away. The explosion pushed Tsuji back a bit further than she might have intended, but he kept his cool about it and stayed steadfast, gaining his footing once more. The arm was now nothing but ash, falling out of the metal palm. Why was Spymaster so desperate to avoid the grasp? It seemed fairly cut and dry, but this was Spymaster – he could have many reasons up his undead sleeves. Tetsuko questioned him about it, and wanting to share as much info as he could, he replied: “It's a gas canister – I heat it up and the palm of my hand conducts the heat, creating a small explosive reaction.” He tossed aside the ash and began to run back into the fray, continuing; “I can try again, but I'll need some time to cool off. Possibly a distraction, too – it might be what we need right now!” As he got back into the main battle, it soon dawned upon him and everyone around him, that Spymaster was more devious in death – he began sending wild swings towards the ground, even only with one arm. Tsuji kept trying to dodge, but it seemed that even when he moved out of the way, where he was originally would be safe too. Was he trying to hit them? Or was it a trap? Either way, the bear was prepared, switching to his defensive style of First Count. While Spymaster was preparing to attack different students, seemingly distracted, Tsuji took out another canister and placed it in his hand with caution, slotting it in and sealing it up. He wouldn't be able to use it right away, but having ammunition already inside would help. Not long after he was done, however, the blind strikes that Spymaster made had their effect made clear – it was a trap after all. The almost invisible strings erupted from the ground, Spymaster dragging them up to himself, with a newly made arm – that was regeneration that Tsuji had yet to see, perhaps if he was going to have to use his arm, then he'd have to make it count and go for the main control area – the head. It'd be hard, but it seemed the best option. For now, however, the strings were getting closer, and fast. Thinking faster, Tsuji headed towards Tetsuko as she was making a stable area to defend from the strings. Getting behind the large shield, he felt one of the strings clip his back, and sure enough behind him, a clump of fur was cut clean off. Close shave. However, in the time before Spymaster was pulling the strings up, Tsuji felt his hand get colder and colder, returning to regular heat. He'd wait for people to regroup, but he would be able to get a hit off sooner rather than later.
