| A s Angel was hoisted into the air by Cape Breaker and he began to tell her that she knew nothing about the hard choices an adult had to make Angel just wanted to laugh and tell the man of how her father tormented her, and how she had to make the hard choice of letting him live and continuing to do so despite feeling the urge to want to end him every single day and fighting that very urge. She wanted to laugh yes, but the problem with that was that Angel's profound strength had completely abandoned her. She couldn't even wiggle her fingers as the world around her became nothing but haze and noise as she felt her life slipping away. As Angel listened to the muffled sounds of voices and gunshots and waited for Cape Breaker to end her life by squeezing and snapping her neck like a pencil Angel's only thoughts were of her heart broken mother, auntie, brother, cousin, protege and beloved Miyami getting the news that the Angel of Mercy had fallen in battle. The thought brought silent tears to her eyes which streamed down her cheeks though as they did despite how injured, weak and broken she was the young Angel just smiled because she knew that even if this was her end that she had fallen in protection of the city she loved and possibly the country and world. This brought the battered and broken Angel a few moments of peace until she felt her captor's grip suddenly loosen and her now limp body begin to free fall onto the hard metal of the helicopter causing a wave of pain so sharp upon impact that if she wasn't afraid that her screaming would cause a rib to pierce her lung she would have done so. Despite now being free and doing her best to move even her fingers to scrape across the helicopter to the wounded soldier to try and rip what ever was strapped to him off so she could use her broken body as a shield she just couldn't. Despite Angel's hearing aids not being damaged the world around her still sounded as if she was partially inside a sensory depervation tank. Though her vision did clear a bit due to the pain of her sudden impact just enough to give her a jolt of sight to see her Principal behind cape breaker shooting not at his head for a kill, but at his arm. Had he been the one to cause Cape Breaker to release her? Had her words broken through? Angel found it increasingly harder to think as the internal loss of blood began to make her feel woozy, sick and empty minded despite how she tried to fight it. As Angel felt herself about to black out however she felt the sudden sensation of who vaguely sounded like her Principal scooping her up and yelling orders she couldn't quite make out though as he did so she did her best to look up at him, pride in her pained tear filled eyes. She wanted to thank him with what ever breath she could muster, but sadly she still had one last warning to give and so she did her best to speak though at first all that came out were wheeze sounding gasps until she managed to force out the words. "Bomb..on..soldier.."With those final words spoken and all of Angel's energy spent her body would loosen in the Principal's arms as the world quickly went dark and silent around Angel, and her body went limp as she fell unconscious. The last little ember of her mind before going under hoping that she would live to see her family, friends and beloved once more. |

[attr="class","hiraeth"]年轻的公牛期待着星星 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Bura, earlier uneasy and nervous streak, was quickly replaced by anger and protectiveness. Bura's mind went back to the last conversation between himself and his two close allies during this whole night. [break] Despite Yuhiko's chilly disposition and thanks to Kyouko's wonderfully bright demeanor, Bura's fear melted to protectiveness, and he will do his best to protect them. But he will let them help- for a hero needs allies even in the darkest and loneliest moments, for a person is never truly alone. So Bura waited for his moment to throw the hair Javelins with as much strength and accuracy as he could. Bura has hoped that Angel's distraction worked. [break] It did. The girl spitting in the eyes into the maniac distracted him long enough for Bura's ranged attack to hit its' mark. The tube connecting to his arm got severed, and Bura's guess was right. It was a weak point. Bura, despite the feeling of worry for Angel, raised as she fell to the ground, but before could get her. The principal rushed ahead and pulled her out of the man reach, and Bura used this opening to do as the principal said. Create the clearing for the others as he distracts him as best as he could. [break] Bura charged up ahead and as he dashed towards the man to gauge his actions. Despite what people must think, he's not pure brawn or lacking senses or logic-he is half-way smart and tactical. Bura knew a frontal assault is stupid, which is why he must play this next part smart. Bura can gauge that the robotic arm is probably tougher than anything he can dish out. So aiming for that and ripping it out is a bad idea. But knowing that the man is probably, well-trained enough not to leave the weaker half of his body defenseless, so if he goes for that, it will be too obvious and probably has a counter for that idea. [break] You don't have much more time, Bura. You have to do something now. Bura's body screamed at him as he was almost at arms reach of the man. [break] So Bura, before their bodies could collide-he stopped mid-step to tricking him, to strike, and he hopped off of his one foot to jumped high in the sky taller than the man was tall. Bura flipped himself in the air, and he aimed to slam his heel against the back of the man's head with as much force as he could to get behind him and strike once again. ✉ tag -- ( @someone ) ✎ 427 words ※ notes here, please keep it short. |

♔With no word from Paw Might telling him otherwise, Yuhiko decided to move on ahead. There was still work to be done, after all. The mission wasn't over just yet. As long as Yuhiko could move, as long as he could keep going, as long as consciousness had not yet been lost, then there was still work for him to do. The symptoms of quirk overuse were beginning to slowly but surely become worse. Despite that, there was no backing down, no taking it easy. Rest and relaxation could come after the mission was complete, and no moment sooner.
While there were a few things of note, there was nothing particularly relevant to Yuhiko. A few supplies lying around here, but nothing too concerning. It was clear that these particular soldiers were not well-armed and did not have much to threaten the group with. If there were any big guns around, such as an RPG, that was located elsewhere. For now, all was clear here. Time to keep moving forward.
I don't like how easy this is. Is this really it? No, surely there's something else here. A hidden trap, or worse, a soldier in hiding. I'd better be careful.
And with that, Yuhiko would keep moving, albeit with more caution than was probably necessary, constantly looking around and trying to find any signs of danger like a paranoid madman. Still, best not to relax too much, right? A cautious target was much harder to take by surprise than a carefree one, right?
I assume the others are holding up well? They had better be. There was no time to show concern for the others. Paw Might could take care of himself, Angel and Burabura was with the Principal, and Kyouko may be annoying, but at least she didn't show herself to be incompetent. There was no reason to try and see if any of them needed assistance. Not right now, anyway. To go over and check on them was to doubt their capabilities. Surely they could handle things on their end. For now, Yuhiko needed to focus on doing his part. There was no way he would ever be able to tolerate the others having to worry about him.
Regardless of whether there was actual danger close by or not, Yuhiko would eventually start to make his way to the helicopter. There was a chance that what the Principal was looking for could be in there. And with everyone else probably too occupied at the moment, it only made sense for Yuhiko to be the one to search the helicopter's interior.
Naturally, Yuhiko was not about to just carelessly go straight inside. For all he knew, there could be an enemy hidden inside just waiting to fire at him. No, it was best to exercise caution. Better to be worried for nothing than to carelessly stroll inside and suddenly have a bullet hole in the torso. So before heading in, Yuhiko would prepare a ball of energy, keeping it close to him and ready to fire it at the first sign of danger. He was aware of the fact that his glowing gems would give away his position. However, there was not much choice. He had nothing else to defend himself with, and he doubted that going back and retrieving one of the fallen soldiers' gun would be a wise decision. If not for the fact that he would be breaking the law by trying to use a gun without authorization of any kind, it was simply too much of a waste of valuable time to turn back now.
So with a grit of his teeth and some mental preparation on the possibility of finding a hostile inside, Yuhiko went over and took a peak inside the helicopter's interior, ready to fire his attack if need be. Assuming that a threat of some kind was indeed hiding in wait, it would soon be on the receiving end of a blast of energy. However, should the interior of the helicopter be empty, Yuhiko would cautiously dissipate the energy ball to try and conserve what little energy he had.
If the helicopter interior actually was clear of any obvious threat, however, then Yuhiko's goal would change. He would begin to thoroughly search the inside of the helicopter, looking around for anything that could resemble the thing the group had come here to retrieve. Of course, he would be careful as he looked around. No need to unwittingly trigger any potential traps possibly hidden by the enemy. It did not matter if he took more time in being careful. Yuhiko was in no rush to get killed, so slow and steady was the way to go here.
But would he even find anything here? Would he find any traps? Was coming here a waste of time? Or would Yuhiko be the first to discover the location of the safe? Assuming he was that lucky to find it, then Yuhiko's next goal was clear. Take it and protect it at all costs. Of course, there was always the chance that there was nothing important inside. In that case, Yuhiko would just leave and go see who was in need of his assistance.

Saving Private She had taken more damage than she wished she had. Well, maybe not as much as some of her teammates, but still she had her share of suffering from this mission. She even lost a lot of hair already from the amount that she cut off herself to give to Yuhiko, Bura, and the principal to the amount she just lost from the gunman. It would take some time for her to grow back her hair, but she wasn't completely defenseless. She had some more options with her hair. She still had about half of one of her ponytails left and she had another option if things came to pass. Kyouko would rather it not come to that point though. She hated that her quirk gave her the ability to use those as a weapon, but in a pinch, she could. It wouldn't be the most pleasant-looking scene if she called upon that secret weapon, but if needed she would.
As she rushed down the tree-line she could feel the bruise upon her shoulder from the gunman. It didn't hurt perse, but she knew it would leave a mark and it was most likely already beginning to turn purple if she had to guess. While she wasn't a self healer she always found bruises would fade quicker than most injuries upon her body. She could get cut a lot easier than she could bruise, but at least she could heal a tad faster than her mother. Her mother would find herself with bruises constantly and it almost scared Kyouko she would end up the same, but that never happened. Instead, Kyouko would cut herself on accident quite easily. She could be cleaning a pan with no edges and she would suddenly find a cut on her hands after washing it. It was quite annoying to happen if she was honest with herself, but she learned to live with it.
As she continued her way down the treeline her surroundings began to darken. It was becoming harder and harder to see. How she wished she had cat eyes and could see in the dark easily. Still, she made her way as silently as she could searching for a sign or a signal that proved her intuition true. Someone had to be around here somewhere. How else would that explosion have happened? Unless they quickly retreated after the first shot someone had to be there. Kyouko doubted they would run through. If they were anything like the men she had just witnessed and taken care of they would have stuck around to surprise the group of heroes. The only question that remained though was where were they?
The wind was beginning to pick up which was a good thing for the girl as it meant she could move a little less carefully now. The sound of the bustling trees dancing in the wind would be a great cover for the crackling of the leaves as she made each careful step. It did have the downside of blocking and shifting the focus of light. Sometimes not in the favor of Kyouko, but it did help her get an idea of her surroundings more. It was like a memory game when the light would illuminate a specific area. Jumping between patches of grass and weeds using the light as a guide she made her way to the spot where the gunman would hopefully be at. Silently she would search in the dark hoping to find the man or woman who caused the explosion.
That's when she heard it. The walkie talkie or communicator that disrupted the whistle of the wind and bustling of the tree leaves. A voice coming loud and clear from right in front of her. She found her target and she needed to incapacitate them. The question now was how? She had easy visuals on the two men before this being, but now she was in the dark. She had a general idea of his location in some shrubbery, but no idea how they were positioned nor their height and measurements are. She wouldn't be able to take this person out so easily. Kyouko would have to risk damaging this person instead of just knocking them out. She didn't want to spill unnecessary blood even if they were doing the same to them, but she couldn't just try and give her position away. She needed to attack the man with no mercy. Well maybe with some mercy if she was careful enough. If she aimed for his legs and possible arms she could stop him from firing if she hit her target and could avoid some of the more fatal spots on the human body. Also if she aimed her hair at them properly in their sharpened state she could pin them to the ground.
Time was of the essence though she couldn't allow herself to overthink and plan like she usually did. The time called for action. Steeling herself she activated her quirk as her hair begin to shine slightly and stiffen into sharp needle-like pins. Separating her hair follicles from each other to create multiple area points of piercing she took a small breath and closed her eyes to concentrate on the area in front of her. Keeping the hair close to the ground like before she quickly had her hair spike up at the man where his body should be and then arch back down in an attempt to pin him. If she was lucky she would have pierced his arms and legs and raised him from the ground then quickly pushed him back down pinning him. Kyouko had never really tried using her spiked hair as an offensive tool before, but rather as a defense one of a supporting tool. This would be a new experience for her and if her guess was right and she hit her target blood would undoubtedly stain her pink hair. She would either have to wash the blood out of it or cut off that part of her hair once the mission was completed. For now, though she only hoped her target was secured. 1023 | @tagged | notes ulla Kobayashi

Perry watched the battle as slowly floated towards the ground. It was a dangerous battle but he was impressed and saw many of the students truly shining through as well as the skilled military backgrounded principal. It seemed if they pulled together they could defeat this foe and hopefully get out of here. But the possum professor was lightly out of breath and a bit tired from the anxiety and physical exertion of keeping the Red Baron Jr. still in flight as long as he did before it was sadly sent burning into the ground in a small explosion of fire and debris. He'd have to salvage it later on and such a act would be lightly painful. But rebuilding it was something he could find some joy in as well in his sadness and woes.
Instead of slowly lowering himself as his tiny parachute slowed his decent towards the ground. He drifted away from the battle though and instead towards one of the soldiers in danger secured to a bomb. Perry taking not of these and deciding to act while his comrades held strong against the foes drifted close by as his small body neared the man as he spoke calmly and clearly but trying not to be so loud as to attract to much foreign attention from any enemies hoping to reduce such a chance of them taking notice.
"Do not worry fellow purveyor of justice and heroism! Worry not for I have a keen mind and brain and I can help you in this time of need!" He'd say as he managed to touch the ground and his small parachute which was large for him at least slowly overlaped him. He would struggle with it briefly somewhat like a small animal trapped under a blanket. Freeing himself quickly from the white cloth trap that took hold of him. Snorting in anger once he was free and quickly getting back to the rather serious problem at hand.
When he was free and clear he'd sniff upward at the bomb climbing up the soldiers clothing and trying to get a idea of the make of the bomb. "Fear not! I think I can undo this... pitiful excuse of a bomb." He'd say likely not waiting very long before getting to work. His small hands and the super strength behind them would allow him to work behind this tech bomb without as much need for tools as others would need. But he would be quick to get to working hopefully with a less then frantic soldiers.

Burabura Buruburu had started to learn an important fact: battle was exhausting. The simmer of adrenaline that refused to let you relax, bursts of heart-pounding, muscle-straining movement, and aches, bumps, and bruises that clung to him, little reminders of the limit of his body’s ability, were beginning to stack up. But they were in the home stretch now. His determination carried him to push past the pain and exhaustion.
Capebreaker turned from his pursuit of Kobayashi and Angel with feline grace as Bura bore down on him, teeth bared in a bloodthirsty snarl. The cyborg looked positively unhinged now--he hadn’t exactly introduced himself as a beacon of mental health, but he looked positively feral in the firelight, eyes bloodshot and wide, pupils dilated like he was high, a vein in his temple pulsing, thwarted again at his pursuit of the Principle.
“Another minion to play shield--” He mumbled into his mask, breath hissing, sounding like he was talking for his own benefit as much as Bura’s. “Meat to dismantle. Hey, you look familiar, child--”
The mechanical claw jerked back, letting out a tormented metallic scream of warning, then swiped out as the UA student came in.
“Maybe I met your father? Or Uncle?” Capebreaker taunted, then, with blinding speed, the claw swiped out like a scythe, the whole force of the damaged robotic exoskeleton bundled into a low swipe that would have torn through Bura’s guts and knocked him into the helicopter.
“Any villains in the family, boy?" He said as the strike flew out.
The gambit worked, however--Capebreaker was pissed, and wasn’t expecting subtly, and the damage to his arm from their earlier strikes made it hard for him to redirect his strike. And he probably wasn’t expecting the first year UA giant to leap like some sort of mountain goat.
The strike went low, hissing through the air under Bura’s hooves, and there was a solid, meaty crunch as Bura’s foot (or hoof, whichever it was), collided with Capebreaker’s head. That was a concussion for sure, maybe more--it depended on how many steel plates were welded into the cyborg’s dome.
Capebreaker staggered forward, catching him on the ground with his human arm before he could fall. As Burabura landed, he heard a crack, and felt something hard slam into his back, sending him stumbling. White-hot pain erupted between his shoulderblades, the wind knocked out of him. When he looked behind himself, Capebreaker’s claw-arm was bent at a strange angle, the palm aimed at him, smoking from what looked like the barrel of a cannon. The cyborg had fired the shot blind, and on-instinct.
“Been doing this...a long time.” The cyborg said. His voice was slurred and lisping. Definitely concussed.
Barely three meters away from this battle, Yuhiko reached the inside of the helicopter. No further landmines erupted during his travel, nor did any soldiers jump up to ambush him.
The inside of the helicopter had been stripped bare, everything useful plundered by Capebreaker’s militia. Except for one thing--
A briefcase shaped-box, complete with a handle, but made of some black, sci-fi looking metal, sitting haphazardly in the middle of the warped metal floor. It had a pulsing light on the top--something that looked like both a thumbprint scanner, and an eyeball scanner nestled in a little cut-out in the metal. The case was completely intact, and looked unopened, though not from lack of trying--it was covered in chips and grooves, matching a certain metal hand at work outside.
It didn’t seem trapped, and nothing went off when Yuhiko picked it up--it was oddly light, but felt like it was full of something, probably in foam padding.
Briefcase--objective--in hand, he was able to slip out of the helicopter.
“That’s it.” Kobayashi radioed, as soon as he saw Yuhiko emerge. The principle had backed off to the safe distance, pistol trained on Capebreaker. As the cyborg started to rise, it barked another shot, the bullet plinking the armored carapace. “Let’s go. Buruburu, can you get free or take him down?”
The success of Kyouko’s attack wasn’t in question. The concern was if it killed her target. As the brush rustled, she could almost feel the soldier sighting in with his RPG, aiming a single, deadly shot that would destroy the helicopter, Burabura, Yuhiko, and if they were unlucky, everyone else. The gunner’s breath was quick and frantic as her hair arced through the ground, then, like a sewing needle…
Up and down.
He let out a shocked, painful gasp as the bladed hair pierced through his uniform, and bound him. For a moment, she felt him thrash, then she heard a heavy thump as his weapon dropped to the ground. He continued to move, struggling weakly, but was bleeding.
She was left with one final choice--tend to his wounds, or leave him, and follow the retreat order.
Perry’s nimble fingers dived into the mess of bomb wires, and upon seeing him, the soldier actually calmed down--he went perfectly still, just letting the possum work, trusting in the small hero for some reason.
“Pww Mmmmgt” The soldier gasped through the gag, then shook his head, deciding it wasn’t worth the effort.
They’d gotten dangerously close to having it go off. When Angel had come to save the soldier, it looked like that had started a countdown, which was left with just about thirty seconds on the clock. The bomb was also strapped very tightly to check, the wires woven around his neck, and wrists, like macabre handcuffs.
But hey, Perry was a goddamn possum genius, with tiny nimble fingers. It was just like jump-starting a car without a key, except you were trying to stop the count, not start it, and keep the voltage stable.
Perry cut through wires, on by one, connecting them to ensure the bomb wouldn’t suddenly lose power (or gain too much) and blow. The numbers on the face ticked down--until--they stopped.
And he was left with a disabled (but still deadly) bomb that he could set off at any minute, and a very grateful soldier, who immediately ripped the gag from his mouth.
“Paw Might! I can’t--no fucking words, man. I can crawl. Hell, I can run. That thing was gonna go off I moved too fast. I was “bait” for the heroes--I--”
He looked at the bomb in Perry’s hands, and at Capebreaker, as the cyborg slowly climbed to his feet, turning on Bura like a massive, wounded dreadnought.
“Let’s get the hell out of here.”
Kobayashi nodded, appearing by Perry’s side, Angel over his shoulder.
“Alright, students. Retreat toward Mustafa. I'll radio in a PSC crew to grab some prisoners. We’ve got a package to deliver. Make sure Bura gets out alive. Either run from 'breaker' or knock him out.” He says.

[attr="class","susurrus"] [attr="class","jikan"]
[attr="class","hiraeth"]年轻的公牛期待着星星 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Bura was feeling the harshness of combat through the strain on his body after pushing himself so hard all night. The low simmering of his adrenaline-his muscles aching and screaming at him to rest-but he couldn't yet- the others rely on him. They needed him to play his part and take down this terrorist scum even if it takes everything out of his reserves to do so. [break][break] Bura charged at the terrorist with the intent to finish this once and for all! Or at least try his most damndest to do so. When the man tried to psych him by saying he looked familiar and taunted him by asking him if he has a villain in the family. Bura's eyes glowed more intensely for a moment as Bura jumped over his swiping attack. The man wasn't expecting him to be smart or subtle from how he swiped at where he would be, but not anticipating where he would be. [break][break] As Bura's foot made contact with the mad man's skull with an inorganic crunch under his foot as Bura yelled- "JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!" Bura angrily at the man as Bura landed behind him in a rather clumsy manner-but before he could relish the strike on the man- there was sheering pain on his back. [break][break] And a horrid crack as Bura let out a guttural grunt as he staggers forward to his hands and knees as he struggled to breathe due to his wind getting taken out of him. His vision was going white with pain, and tears started to fall freely from his eyes- he never cried from pain once in his life, until today. Bura gasped for air as he let out pained sobs. He never felt such intense pain-it felt horrible-it stuck to his mind as he couldn't focus on anything but the pain he felt. [break][break] But Bura's mind went blank for a brief moment as he got up to his feet with a struggle as he grabs onto large metal debris that was once the tail rotor of the helicopter that survived from Angel's attack and the Explosion. And, suddenly Bura, with his second wind from the adrenaline pushing his aching and sore body even further beyond its normal limits and swung the piece of debris with his whole body to the man's human half. [break][break] And, rather if his attack works to knock him out, or it was a distraction. Bura would use the time for the terrorist to block or taking the hit to quickly let go of it and make a mad dash towards Musutafu, not looking back to see if his attack did the job or not- he was scared- he was hurt- he was angry- he was just a child still. [break][break] So Bura ran away from the scene with tears still forming in his eyes from the pain of the last attack and the cannon hitting him. But despite everything- he was alive and moving- and despite his hoarse breathing and struggled to keep his sobbing down from the pain-it was still him standing here to redeem his Grandfather's mistake, one step at a time. ✉ tag -- ( @someone ) ✎ 518 words ※ notes here, please keep it short. |

♔Time was of the essence. There was a major fight going down nearby, and Yuhiko did not want to be anywhere near that unless it was absolutely necessary. No, it was best to stay out of that and let his comrades do their work while he did his. Focus on the mission, concentrate on completing the task at hand. No distractions were allowed.
Fortunately, his cautious and thorough search of the helicopter's interior proved to be fruitful. Yuhiko found the briefcase, and upon closer inspection, realized just what this briefcase might be. Is this it? It is, isn't it? The thing Principal Kobayashi came here to retrieve? Upon heading back outside, he listened to the principal's voice on the communicator. Confirmation that this was indeed the objective. Yuhiko felt a bit relieved. Good, now we can finally complete our mission and put an end to this madness once and for all.
Still, it was far too soon to relax just yet. This briefcase (or rather what was inside) still needed to be delivered. Until it was, then the mission wasn't yet over. Thus, there was no time to relax, despite how exhausted Yuhiko felt. He spoke in the communicator. "Understood, sir. Moving out now." It was time to go, time to retreat, regroup, and finally see this mission through to the end. Until everyone was out of harms way, until they all returned safely, Yuhiko was determined to protect this briefcase with his life. Though hopefully things would not need to go that far.
As he begun his retreat, Yuhiko would think to himself for a bit in an effort to distract himself from how tired his whole body felt from all the quirk overuse. For a first serious mission, things could have gone so much worse. Not bad, I must admit. Far less perfect than what I would have been content with, but it can't be helped. I imagine Father will be pleased to hear about my contributions. Now if only that man would be relieved to hear that his son was actually safe, rather than only care about results. But Yuhiko knew better than to expect that from such a cold and harsh person.
And as for the others... It seems I may need to reevaluate them. My initial assumptions on my fellow students seem to have been mistaken. I suppose I'm not afraid of admitting that these two are some intriguing diamonds in the rough. Not that Yuhiko would ever say that to Burabura or especially Kyouko. Because that would be far too easy and simple. Still, even if he was not willing to actually waste words on the others, he had to admit that there were far worse people he could have been paired with. Angel, Burabura, Kyouko, Paw Might. All strong and dependable. Yuhiko would not mind working with any of them again in the future.
Now if only the rest of those half-wits in UA could prove themselves and take their time in this school seriously instead of acting like children and squandering their potential as heroes-in-training. Then maybe I wouldn't actually mind having to work alongside them. Oh well, it's not my fault if their naivete leads to their deaths at the hands of merciless villains. The weak perish while the strong persist. I'll just need to focus on improving myself so I avoid such a fate. I won't be easily distracted, unlike those morons. I know my purpose, and I will achieve my goals. No matter what.
Yuhiko continued moving, with the briefcase in hand and under a very close watch. He could not wait until it was all over, and he could finally collapse in his bed.

Saving Private The one thing about Kyouko's quirk she never told anyone was how sensitive it was. She could feel everything her hair did thus using it to cut things or when she cuts it herself was like receiving a cut on a normal person's body. It wasn't the most pleasant thing she liked about her quirk it was something she despised about it. She could vividly remember the years practicing in the woods away from her home and getting twigs in her hair or the strands getting tangled in the dense foliage. While she felt the freest during those times it was the most painful too. Her fortitude was always tested during those times, but she had overcome them, but simply swinging from branches and sneaking up on small creatures and giving them a spook was nothing like piercing the flesh of a human.
Their painful cries and the struggling from the bodies was a horrific feeling. While she couldn't see the man with her eyes she could feel each squirming of his body through her hairy tendrils. It was awful. Was this what villains did for a living? Cause so much pain in anguish to a person? Were heroes doing the same to villains? What if having quirks wasn't a blessing, but rather a curse? Was her mother right? Should Kyouko have abandoned her quirk? It's not like it wouldn't be impossible for her to practically rid herself of her quirk. She would just have to shave all the hair from her body. Lots of people did that it wouldn't be too unheard of really. It would also save her a lot of money on hair products so maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to rid herself of her quirk.
She felt the thud of the weapon and the man losing energy. Her task was almost complete now all she needed to do was get back to the rest of the group and help them, but she needed to take care of the man. Should she kill him or spare him like the two she did earlier? Honestly, she felt she did enough damage to this man with this attack she didn't want to become a killer. Getting up from her hiding position she walked over to where her hair tendrils were pinning the man down and stood above his body looking down at him. The shadows of the foliage covering her face giving her a very dark appearance. Blood was slowly seeping out of the man's body soaking her hair and dying the strands red.
She looked at the man square in the face and said, "I could easily end you now much like the lives of others you undoubtedly have taken before." She took a breath and continued, "You deserve a slow painful death, but I'm not going to be your messenger." Sitting down on the man's stomach practically straddling him her light frame so different in comparison to his own. "I will be the last you see on this battlefield though," she said this coldly and with a very intense glare. She clenched her fist and brought it back and gave a sharp and heavy punch to his temple. Not enough to do severe damage, but enough to knock the man out cold. Once his body became limp she placed the hand on her chest and felt her heartbeat. Each steady thump told her she was still alive and still human. "I'm sorry," she whispered as tears began to slowly drip from her face.
Kyouko was about ready to leave when she got the call to retreat in her ear. "Already?" Kyouko said surprised aloud. Were they done? Based upon the principal's words they had accomplished their mission of acquiring the briefcase, but were they all ok? Kyouko overall was uninjured except for some bruises and cuts from woods, but what about the others? Was Bura ok? Did Yuhiko follow her warnings? Were Perri and Angel able to recover from their endeavors? She wanted to run back to the center of the field to check the status of everyone, but what if that lead her to more danger? No, she would have to meet up with them down a different path. She was alone now and she needed to get out quickly.
The young girl cut her hair leaving the hair pierced in his body to keep him in place. She was sporting an asymmetrical bob hairstyle now. Kyouko didn't realize how much hair she lost in this battle. It would take a few days maybe even weeks for her hair to grow back to its normal length. Still, it would grow back so losing so much hair in battle was predicted. Getting off the man she began her retreat in the opposite direction in which they came. She would have to circle the city and take the long way back to the original meet-up place. She could only imagine the scolding she would get from Yuhiko and the principal and how worried Bura would be. Kyouko needed to get back as soon as possible, but she was stopped in her tracks.
A nagging feeling was tugging at her heart as she looked back at the man whom she left laying in the dark. She couldn't just let him bleed to his possible death, could she? Kyouko sighed to herself and returned to his body and checked the wounds she had just left in the man. They were a decent size and if she wanted him to stay pinned she had to leave the hair in place, but that didn't mean she couldn't try and close the outer edges of the wounds. So tearing off sections of her outfit she began wrapping the wounds as best as she could. Honestly she never really did this before so it was a very sloppy job, but every little bit helps right? Once she completed this she began her retreat back to Mustafa. Her main thought now on the safety of her comrades. "Please be safe everyone," Kyouko would comment under her breath as she ran away from the battlefield. 1022 | @tagged | notes ulla Kobayashi
