Kado couldn't help but chuckle when Ishtar burst into laughter at the situation with herself and this Fix person. Probably something to do with expectations versus the reality of it all... But then an oversized goat person suddenly crashed, quite literally, onto the scene. Thorn, her rather large plant-like draconic beast, immediately roared and prepared to strike at the intruder before Kado held up her hand to forestall the thorn covered vines that were even now streaking out towards him.
"Given our situation," she said, "perhaps a little more discretion is required my dear goat boy hmm?" she suggested towards their newest arrival who was no doubt an associate of the welding masked boy. Who had now finished making a weapon that she was all too familiar with, and absolutely despised for obvious reasons. A flamethrower... "Just remember to point that away from Thorn, or else." Kado warned Fix, before looking over and nodding at Ishtar.
"With that root, Thorn is certainly large enough to-" she began to say before a helicopter decided to take notice of her Summon and immediately opened fire on them! Her draconic beast immediately went on the defensive, placing itself between all of those currently gathered there and acting like a massive shield.
Kado was about to order Thorn to retaliate and bring that machine down, when Fix apparently decided to point a little laser towards the machine, even as Thunder continued to barrel on ahead into the building they were en route towards. She considered the situation for the moment before petting her beasts maw. "Stay on guard. No telling if either the soldiers or the undead will make their move towards us whilst we're inside." she ordered, Thorn nodding in acquiescence to his mistress' orders.
The masked woman made her way inside, and when that voice rang out which stopped the plant womans attack, she felt a lump forming in her throat. Kado raised her head slightly and watched as sitting right there... was Mashu. And as ever, she was apparently the one giving the other two women in here their orders.
She had to fight back a chuckle at being called a pipsqueak by the old woman, the blackened eyes helping a little in that regard. "Mashu..." said Kado as she stepped past Thundershock and the woman responsible for the massive tree, staring up at the woman kicking her legs in the air over the railing, "If it really is you then you can answer this quite easily. Who was responsible?" she asked from behind the mask.
Part of her wanted so much to believe that this was indeed Mashu, her adoptive grandmother and mother, returned to her from beyond the grave... But she couldn't allow herself to succumb to that desire. Not when she knew that they'd been brought back through someone else's Quirk.
For all she knew, this could just be a very well played puppet of desecrated flesh. The words and actions a mere mimicry from what information this Loki could gather... Well, time to put the puppeteer to the test, and if it really was Mashu... then she'd finally have the answers she had sought for regarding Mashu's death. Or at least confirmation about what she'd suspected...

Ishtar did not move an inch when Yojin blurted out his reaction. His wide-eyed expression more than satisfying for the supervillain. She stood up straight, crossing her arms behind her back, and raised a smug eyebrow. The white sheet of light around her body shifting a little in response to emulate the look. That was when someone else crashed between them. She looked up at the startlingly built figure that put himself between her and Fix. He wore a mask, just like Fix, and his growl was... interesting. Ishtar tilted her head, unmoved, when he spoke. His hackles were raised. A follower? Friend? She sneered behind her mask; lover? She looked back at Fix as he spoke with a little more courage.
Not a fighter, mmmm? Prefer to stand behind someone bigger. She understood that. She looked up at the so called second 'Fix'. She knew the real one by their behaviors. If they were trying to fool her, they were in for a rude awakening. But she decided it was best to play along; after all, she had no interest in killing someone so useful. Her eyes remained fixed with the real 'fix'. "I'm afraid I only agreed to protect one Fix," She said candidly, waving a dismissive hand and turning to join the lovely Thurisaz. "Fix!" She said abruptly before glancing over her shoulder, eyeing what he was making; "I will be disappointed if you die, today. You finally faced me, so you have my respect," Her words were cold, like the air around her. She confidently came to a stop just at the world shifted again for them.
She turned to check after Thunder Shock, her eyes adjusting as she heard him marching his way forward. Her lenses spun, taking in details. She looked up, gunfire. Her eyes narrowed and her fingers tensed, ribbons of deadly light stretching from her fingertips as she prepared to rip them from the sky. She hesitated when Fix spoke, her eyes flicking toward him, again, narrowed. The ribbons faded and her lethal urges subsided...for now. She stepped between the helicopters and Thurisaz, before taking stock of where they were moving to. She followed cautiously; her ever-twilight vision keeping focused on possible threats. She picked up the pace as Fix did trying to stay close by even as she heard... something.
She blinked.
What?
She turned to see a small wave of zombies crawl out behind a car. Her ribbons flashed ruthlessly, lights flashing through the air so fast it was hard to see properly. Their bodies collapsed in chunks, blackened and bubbling flesh sizzling with the intense flash-freezing cold. She wrinkled her nose, wretched things. She turned to find Thunder Shock. She needed to make sure he was-
"Sonya?"
Everything stopped.
The world stopped.
Life Stopped.
Her quirk. Stopped.
The word was like... a fresh pre-winter breeze on a hot summer day. Brisk. Startling. Refreshing. It filled her lungs, it melted the ice in her veins, it reached up and caressed her face. Ishtar stopped dead in her tracks and turned. The glow in her eyes faded first. The shell of white-light around her body faded next cast away like so many motes of light, her hair was white as snow, as was her skin. A ghost. Her mechanical eyes ticked slowly, tick, tick, tick, as each lense shifted with microscopic care. Her hands fell to her sides. Her silver-grey villain outfit looking dull by comparison to the godlike glow she had before. The glow left her skin. Her fingers. Her body. Her muscles tightened and relaxed all at once.
"Sonya."
That voice again. Ishtar-no-Sonya looked up at the figure standing a few feet above her on a small ledge. She had short, dark hair. Native Japanese. She was... the most beautiful thing Sonya had ever seen in her entire life. A small pained sound came from the white queen.
"Sonya why are you wearing my sleep respirator?" It sounded like she was laughing. "You look so silly like that..." The girl said. She looked like she was barely out of college age. Sonya's hands rose, cupping her mouth. The girl looked away, her black sclera a little obvious as she smiled sheepishly. "I guess... it wasn't just a tune up, huh?" She murmured, reaching for her missing right limb. Of course she didn't have it. She'd asked to have her prosthetic to be donated to charity after she passed.
Sonya's body was numb. Something acrid dripped down her cheeks. "Setsuna." Sonya breathed.
Setsuna nodded; "Yep."
"SETSUNA!" She howled, staggering forward and holding out her arms. The woman leapt into them, they spun and Sonya's legs gave out beneath her. She buried her head in the dark haired woman's chest, gripping her shirt. "Setsuna! Setsuna! Setsuna!" She whispered, desperate, aching, longing, broken. Gentle fingers stroked the back of her head, a thumb brushing over a small split in her her hair where Sonya'd hit her head a long time ago. A spot only she knew. A chill went down her spine, she looked up and reached for the woman's face, touching it, feeling it, soft, real, alive.
"Cold little fingers as always," Setsuna whispered, grabbing Sonya's hand and kissing her fingertipo. Sonya croaked, grief creasing her features.
"I didn't get to say goodbye,"
"I know," Setsuna whispered, kissing her temple, nodding. "I know, my little goddess of love," She kissed Sonya on the head again and again. Her grip tightening. "but...this..." She looked down at herself and shook her head.
Sonya's eyes widened and she grabbed Setsuna by the face, pulling her close, kissing her, shaking her head, pressing her forehead against her; "No. No no no, I didn't think, you're back, you could be ba-"
"...Sonya," Setsuna's chiding voice giving the villain pause. "This isn't right, Sonya, and you know it," Her fingers reached up and touched the small silver cross hanging from her neck. Her eyes twinkled. "I need you to do something for me..." She said, her words hanging in the air.
Silence.
Sonya's eyes widened, "No. No. Absolutely not. No I can't. I won't. I-" She shook her head, hanging in Setsuna's grip. Her knees weak. Powerless. Her whole body numb. She let out a bitter, wretched, ugly sound; "I just got you back..." She whined, looking up at her wife.
Setsuna shook her head; "No, you got a chance to say goodbye, I shouldn't be here."
Sonya's eyes fell completely still and she let out a heaving sob, burying her face in Setsuna's chest one more time. Her wife wrapped her one arm around her back and held her, "I know. It's not fair, it's cruel and its horrible... but I want you to do it. If anyone would do it. It would be you, I need your help, my Ishtar. I need you to save me," She whispered; "I know. I know... I know... I love you, Sonya, I love you so much," She whispered.
Sonya clung, selfish, broken, agonized, wretched, her entire world nothing but a void except a meters space. Her whimpering cries breaking bites of silent whispers; she clung, grabbed, shook her head and bit her lip. But she knew Setsuna was right. This was wrong, so very wrong, She looked up at the woman she'd given her epic heart to and smiled bitterly; "Ill thank him before I kill him," She said through trembling lips.
"So scary," Setsuna chuckled, taking Sonya by the cheek and pulling her submissive little wife up to her. She kissed Sonya, deep, full, with all the love the world and beyond could fathom. Sonya clung to her, holding on for dear life, her heart creaking in her chest. Sonya pulled back and took a deep breath, nodding, steadying herself. She'd killed before. Setsuna hesitated; "Will it hurt?"
Sonya made a pained face but shook her head; "Not if I go full burn," Sonya said. She took a deep breath and reached up to take Setsuna by the head, bitter tears turning silver as mercury began to build in her bloodstream. Her quirk began to activate again. Light began to shine beneath her skin. Setsuna let out a small gasp, "I love you, Sonya, Thank you. Good bye."
Sonya nodded, "I love you too, Setsuna," she bit her lip and leaned in close. "Good bye."
Sonya kissed her, and a white light engulfed the both of them. Cold erupted from them, frost spread across the ground, the water in the air condensed and snow swirled for a moment, the light wreathed its way around Setsuna as Sonya put every ounce of her strength into her quirk. She felt the surface of Setsuna's skin begin to crack and finally... with a flash of pale white light... nothing was left but black ash.
Sonya's breath came in, hard, rapid, eyes wide, her fingers covered in black dust. She stared at the pile before her, eyes spininning. "Ah... AH..." She gasped, and then she howled. Rage, pain, and grief combining into a single wretched sound that pierced the air as her quirk faded again. Silver tears bled from her eyes, her veins had turned silver, her skin was palid and covered in sweat, her body trembled as she devolved into broken, animal sobs. She fell to her side, curling onto the ground, resting her head between her knees, and wept.
This moment would be the first, and last, time that the Supervillain Ishtar was this mortally vulnerable. She would never again be this shaken, this broken, but in this moment. Ishtar was broken.

1023 WC sympathy for the devil | It was only because of the mask that the look of actual surprise that appeared on Chimera's face for a moment wasn't seen by Ishtar, but his back tensed just a touch before he glanced over his shoulder at Yojin. Him? "Fix"? What was he trying to do, this wasn't part of their plan...not like any of this had been to be fair but a little word of warning would have been nice. But since when had Yojin ever been the type to think things out before doing them? Not once, ever.
Chimera kept between the two, still, even as Ishtar pulled away to talk to the other woman, and he nodded before setting the engine down besides Yojin to go break open another car. It was easy as peeling open an orange, just with more metal. He knew where to unscrew and where to pull to keep the tank from breaking, then brought it over to Yojin, helping to attach it to the back of his little contraption. Which, like Yojin, he found himself looking at funny.
"...is this an accidental coincidence, or are you feeding off the irony," he spoke softer, too soft for the voice module to pick up, but he believed them too far from the villains for them to hear him, unless somebody had his hearing.
What was not quiet was the sound of gunfire.
Chimera reacted on instinct, of course, and like before his body moved to get between Yojin and the danger, before the fear and pain and memories could catch up to him and freeze him. As long as he kept moving, it couldn't.
But god, this was getting familiar, wasn't it? The smoke, the guns, the screams and shouts in the distance, the occasional sound of something large and heavy crashing or exploding. Hahah. His paws shook where they were held at his sides. Not any more. He wasn't weak anymore. He was trained. If the militia did anything like that ever again he'd be able to take care of them, and nobody would die. Nobody would get hurt. Except for him, probably, but even then he was stronger than he had been at the time. He could tank a lot of damage.
A beam of light shot out from over his shoulder, and the helicopter ahead was momentarily blinded. Chimera growled, then moved, keeping Yojin in sight as they all sprinted toward cover. The idiot was going to be the last inside--
You shouldn't be the one in front, you fucking dumabss.
--but that just meant that Chimera was first to see the reactions of those inside.
Three women of varying ages, though two were quite a bit younger than the last, whom at a first glance Chimera could have taken for perfectly normal--if not obviously Quirked, in the woman with the vines' case--humans. One of them looked so much like Miku, it frightened him, again. They didn't even smell like corpses. Just people. Though...earthy, ever so slightly off. Not like they were decomposing but like something akin to soil clung to them still. And of course there was the black that ringed their irises, rather than white.
Zombies? But they look so human. It has to be a trick, right?
Chimera's shoulders rolled back, waiting for the zombies to do something for only a moment, before his stance dropped, and he felt a frown on his muzzle.
Each of them, each of the undead, called to one of the villains. The woman with blonde hair to Thunder, the one missing an arm to Ishtar, the elderly one to Verdure. They knew them? What were they? Was this what they'd been...
Were you all looking for these people?
Their...dead. All of them. That's not...
Chimera heard every word. Every whisper, every soft sob that raked through the throat of the most powerful villains in Japan, every brokenhearted word that slipped from Ishtar--Sonya? That Sonya? Was that why she was familiar? The scent of something sweet, and cold, and familiar...it had to be. Had to be. But what did it matter at this second? He didn't feel like he was looking at villains. Because...villains didn't have people they loved like that, did they?
Why wouldn't they? They're people.
They're bad people, though. They've hurt so many others. Thunder Shock killed Elise's father. Ishtar put a price on my friends. On Yojin. They've both done unforgivable things. People like that are monsters, aren't they?
Chimera looked down and away, both out of nausea, confusion, and pity. He timed it well, because he heard the last whispers between Ishtar and her lover, just before a flash of frigid white light engulfed them both. Like something out of a fairy tale, like when true love's kiss was supposed to turn the beast into beauty. That didn't happen. He had to squeeze his eyes shut from the flash, but when they reopened and the spots cleared from his sight, Ishtar was alone.
He stepped back, away from them all, closer to the way back out.
"...y--Fix," he whispered, and a claw found his friend's arm a step behind him. What did he want to do? Run? They wouldn't stop them--he didn't think they were even able to. Not right now. Fight? It...would be easy, he realized, to do it right now. Neither Thunder Shock or Ishtar look able to fight back right now. If they took them down they could drag them to the heroes. Two of Japan's most wanted, most dangerous criminals, put away for good. Yojin's hand was on his weapon and Chimera could rush in, knock them down, take them out.
Chimera shook his head. He wanted to stop them. But right now felt...wrong. Right now they were still criminals, and monsters, but they were mourning. Crying. Openly weeping, utterly brokenhearted. It wasn't fairness that held him back, but it was something that felt wrong to feel all the same. Empathy?
Monsters can still love people.
"Fix," he spoke a little stronger, "We shouldn't...be here. Come on."

When Yojin aimed his customized gadget at the chopper, at first sight it seemed to do little to stop the hail of bullets being fired their way, but shortly afterwards the helicopter started to sweep from one side to another, the pilot clearly blinded as the rain of projectiles ceased and the helicopter started to spiral out of control, fortunately safely disappearing somewhere in the distance, at least the lack of an explosion seemed to suggest there was no kill counter gains! 0-1 for Team Fix! Kado's bold approach toward Mashu earned a soft smile from the elderly lady, a smile full of pride for the masked girl in front of her, and when the question was asked she slowly raised a finger, at first her hand looked like she was about to point toward Kado, but then she gently shifted her wrist, bending the back of her hand to point lightly at her own face. "Why ask a question that you already know the answer for my dear? After all, it was I who chose to accept those clinical trials that worsened my condition. It was a hard choice, but one I do not regret." She smiled, but now it became more bittersweet. "I wanted to give you an opportunity my dear, to let you build a future of your own choice, one that you could decide on your own terms. If my love for you was the reason I died, then I gladly die a thousand times over." Meanwhile, as the two conversed, it seemed the two other villains were having their own emotional reunion with vastly different approaches. Sonya and Setsuna had a bittersweet reunion as Setsuna expressed her belief that this was wrong, that her existence in this world was unnatural, something that was not meant to be, and in the end, they finally parted ways, but not before they had the chance to say their farewells, a wish that would have been impossible by normal means. While Thunder Shock's embrace caused Lilly to cave in emotionally, sobbing into the man's embrace. "It hurts... Not physically, but emotionally... I know that I'm not meant to exist, not any more outside of in your memories and heart but-" She looked up at him and smiled sorrowfully at him. "I just couldn't let go of the chance to see you again... I know it's selfish, but please let me enjoy this warmth for a while longer..." And yet it was at that time that Chimera would be the first to notice something, a scent of something horrible, something inhuman and unnatural was approaching the group, something that reeked of something even viler than the dead they had faced inside Tokyo. And then a deep masculine voice called out to the group. "And yet your desire has no need to remain a fleeting wish 'Lilly Kobayashi'" The air across the spacious room started to twist and distort as if something was tearing into the space when finally a black mass started to form, almost like a black hole and a figure most of them had seen before emerged from within the darkness. "A pity Ishtar... You had the opportunity to overcome the one defeat that truly haunted you, and yet you chose to chain yourself to the rules forced onto you by another... Truly disappointing." He sighed, almost like a father who had been disappointed by his rebellious daughter yet soon his gaze turned onto another: ""Life, just like everything else is a game. It seems Ishtar prefers to play by the rules others force upon her. How about you Thunder Shock? Are you one who follows the rules of another? If you are one who makes the rules, I can teach you how to be truly free, and that includes freeing your precious wife from the chains of death." He paused, a glint of crimson light in the eye sockets of his skull as he gazed straight at the man. "I don't ask for servitude, a true villain serves no one, all I ask is that you are willing to learn, and carve your path as a true villain, unrestrained and free in the truest sense of the word." He paused for a moment, and Chimera would no doubt notice there was another scent in the room, one that was familiar, even if Loki's scent made it difficult to focus onto it. "How about you Kado-san? Now with the truth in your hands, will you let society decide who lives and dies? Or will you make the choice yourself? You can save your grandmother, all you need to do is merely reach out for my hand." He looked straight at the masked lady, yet soon the cloak of the lich ruffled lightly. "Right right, I didn't forget about you, my esteemed guest. After all, it was one of you in this room who longed to meet my guest." Slowly the man took a step forward, and yet his gaze lingered on Yojin and Chimera for a bit longer. "Fascinating... Some unexpected guests, but not an unwelcome change of audience." Was all he muttered when suddenly he cleared his throat. "There is no need to leave just yet." Another glint in his eyes followed as the skeleton raised a hand to the side, causing his cape to spread lightly. "It seems we still have some time before the closure of this reunion." As the cape spread open and revealed the guest he had brought along, he lightly pressed a skeleton hand against the person's back. "Do not worry, I am a man of my word, you will not be harmed, besides you were an essential part in accomplishing the wish of both Thunder Shock and his lover." His gaze drifted up as the distant buzzing of the helicopters remained like a cacophony in the distance. "hmm, it seems they will arrive earlier than intended, I believe one of you might had agitated those metal moustiques belonging to the witch her minions more than I expected..." And yet his gaze shifted back to his guest, if Yojin and Chimera were the wild card among the group, then one could say the very presence of this unannounced guest had been: Loki's wild card!

How did this happen? Miku was at UA and then suddenly the man or monster or lich that started it all, just appeared before her. Loki. He said he would take her to Thunder and her biological mother who is pretty much supposed to be dead. Well, she decided to gamble and go there. Arriving there she then saw Thundershock with a woman. And then a whole bunch of chaos Chimera would see Miku, she was dressed the same way when they fought in the sports festival. The same punk clothes, including the mask. Sure she was safely tucked at UA. But she was ready to rumble. Always ready. And this just proved why she had to be ready. Because a villain appears and promises freaky things. Miku didnt come here to connect with her biological parents. If anything, she could maybe say goodbye to her bioogical mother because she found a new mother in Hana. And Hana is her only mother. While it is tragic Miku lost her memories of her previous life, she doesnt yearn for their return. She doesnt want to connect to these people. She doesnt want to be the daughter of Thundershock the villain. She likes being the daughter of a Vigilante and a caring woman who is quirkless but stands up and still kicks butt in a quirked world. So beside saying her farewell, why is she here? Well, to stop zombies and villains of course. But sadly, Loki's whole thing kind of disoriented her a bit so she needed to get her bearing on who's who and where where. Well, whatever the case, she quickly stepped away from Loki. She pointed her finger at him "Foul Lich! What is your true goal with these zombies? You amassed an entire hoard that is plaguing the entire town! You didnt summon these zombies, just to make a collect few happy! Whats your ulterior motive Trickster God!" she might have been overdramatic in her words. But she wsa careful not to trust Loki. This wasnt the hot Loki that had stupid horn helmet. This was a bad skelly belly bad Loki!

Passing his hands through her hair, Thunder was finally able to breath out a low sigh. He missed this more than anything, missed having her in his embrace like this... though even before her death, she hadn't been his to hold... That didn't matter, as per her own words this was all she wanted, all that he wanted. The two of them together again, no matter the circumstances.
"I never thought I'd ever be able to hold you again, not after that bastard, G, killed you... Lilly..." He paused as he held onto her just a little bit tighter, fighting back against the tears that were already staining his face.
"I couldn't follow the path you wanted me to... without you, without Miku I... I let my hatred get a hold of me... I'm sorry I disappointed you..." He stated lowly, holding her as if he'd lose her the moment he let her go. However, when a booming male voice spoke towards his beloved, Thunder's eyes turned sharp. He swiped at his eyes to wipe the tears away before turning his glare on the source of it all. Loki.
"What do you mean it doesn't have to remain a wish?" Thunder asked seriously, his cold gaze refusing to soften as Loki attempted to plant the seeds of hope into his heart. While he knew that Lilly still wasn't technically alive, he wouldn't allow this Loki to toy with their lives... when Loki gave his speech however, Thunder would just scoff as he turned part of his body to face him, the other still clinging to his beloved.
"You think you can manipulate me you bag of bones? Go to hell, the only deal we're making here is for your life. Bend the knee to me, dedicate yourself and your quirk to keeping Lilly alive, and I'll consider not killing you for daring to touch her." He growled at the man standing there. His gaze constantly shifted to the black mass that was forming by his side, wondering if he wasn't calling on other undead to attack them... though that wouldn't make sense, as he would be attacking others he had brought back to the land of the living.
Loki would suddenly push out a petite figure from under his cape, and the large man would immediately tighten his grip on Lilly, while simultaneously bursting with electric energy once more. The only part of his body that wasn't, was the arm clinging to his beloved.
" MIKU, GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THERE " He yelled at the girl in a tone unlike any she would have heard before, as he had been sure to only show her the softer side of himself. Now this was business...

自由自在 i got 99 problems and a lich is now one
Holy fuck was he in deep.
That night was going to be engraved in Yojin’s skull for years to come. No doubt about it. Pilot light flickering on his flamethrower. Ishtar and Thundershock, the two greatest threats to Tokyo of their generation of villains, sighted, in range. And he’d frozen. Like a meek, frightened child--like Semper Fi, he’d frozen.
Wheels. Wheels and cogs. It’s all just fucking spinning wheels and cogs, bringing me back to where I started.
When he justified it to himself, he’d probably say it was because he was thinking ahead, weighing the unknown threat of Loki against the devils he knew.
Yojin’s best lie had always been pretending to himself he was a bad liar.
Hesitation was always the worst answer. Even if Ishtar had spared the helicopters at his request.
“Bait. This is bait.” He murmured, static crackling in his voice. Only Chimera would hear.
A trap. But not for him.
Thunder, Ishtar, and Thurisaz. Greed, Denial, Mistrust. Three different undead hostages, three different results.
Watching Ishtar--Sonya--break down. Watching Thundershock break down--made Yojin’s stomach churn. And then there was Ishtar’s wife.
Sleep mask? A tech accident? Illness? I read that Sonya’s wife died. Medical complications. Like dad.
He felt sick. How would he have handled it?
That was the real hesitation that kept him from firing.
A few seconds later, it was too late.
The room warped, and Loki was there.
Teleportation? No way in fuck that’s part of his quirk. Accomplice.
For a second, Yojin looked around the room, looking for the villain’s hidden ally, but he didn’t have long, because they had a surprise visitor.
Miku. God. What was she doing here? Was she okay? Was she--
Is Thunder’s daughter? Is that her MOTHER?
That sick fuck.
This was all too much. He could pick it apart later. All he knew was the wall of evidence he’d build in Damage Control had just become a million times more complicated.
But some things had just become very simple.
If you held onto a shot long enough, it became worthless.
“Nah. I think we’re exactly where we need to be.” Yojin replied to Chimera, feeling a grin spread across his face under his welding mask. “Loki’s never gonna let his zombie hostages go willingly. We all know it.”
Thunder was protecting Miku--and Miku was protecting herself. He waved at his fellow third year, then pressed a finger to his lip, indicating silence. Maybe she’d recognize him, maybe not. Either way--
He wasn’t throwing away his shot.
Yojin darted through the shadows, circling Loki, determined to act first. When he reached the cloaked lich’s back, he slid to a stop, and ripped the entire tank of his flamethrower off his back. Maybe if he was thinking ahead further, he’d have simply fired a shot, so he’d have ammo left for Ishtar, Thunder, or Thurisaz, but…
Well, he probably only had the one.
He hurled the tank of gasoline through the air at Loki, ripping free his taser pistol, and firing a blast at the spinning metal canister right before it hit.
“HEY! LICH SAYS WHAT!?” He cackled, a second before the bolt hit.
Boom.
Two gallons of gasoline, suddenly turned into a midair fireball.

Kado stared up at Mashu for a moment, the old womans words slowly sinking in. “Worsened… No, no, no…” she said, disbelief and doubt in her voice. “The drugs they used on you in those trials… Those are what caused your cancer… Right?” the masked woman asked, a hand reaching up to the locket hidden under her cloak and subsequently the leather biker suit she wore beneath it.
“Worsened…” she repeated once more. “Then… the drug the government tested on you… was an accelerant, rather than a mutator…” Kado theorised, both hands clenching into fists. Her rage and anger was beginning to climb once more, but Mashu’s kind words were like a bucket of ice against her growing fire.
She regarded her adoptive grandmother and smiled softly beneath the mask. “You did it though… The shops doing well Mashu.” She said to her, deciding to try and fill her in on what’s been going on in her absence. “So well that I’m… I’m trying to open a second one in Tokyo. Right across from the park you loved to visit.” Kado informed her, wondering how she’d take the news about the business that her adopted grand-daughter had inherited from her.
There was a flash of light that broke Kado of her moment with Mashu, and she turned her head to watch as Sonya howled in pain and collapsed to the ground. The masked red head rushed over to the silver haired woman’s side and knelt down beside her. Kado removed her cloak in an attempt to cover the weeping, broken woman in an attempt to give her some measure of privacy.
She was past caring that doing so might help expose her identity to the others that were there. The dead were already handling that part with tremendous ease… “Sonya… hold on…” the red head said softly. Whilst the night they had shared had been understood to be a one-time thing, there was a part of Kado that felt she had to help Sonya regardless.
But of course, the one responsible for all of this made their appearance and began to belittle Ishtar for her decision. The undead skeleton then began to make offers to Thundershock and even herself. Kado looked at the curled up Sonya for a moment, trying to run a hand through the crying woman’s hair in some attempt to try and comfort her a bit. “Take the time you need…” she said softly, before she slowly got to her feet.
“It’s true…” Kado mused as she rose up. “I do desire to see society suffer for what it put Mashu through, that is the truth… For using her as a tool for their agenda, not caring if she lived or died…” As she finished standing up, her right arm began to reach out as if to take Loki’s hand into her own, albeit in a symbolic distance gesture.
“However.” The outstretched hand turned upwards and she snapped her fingers, a tremendous and rage filled roar resounding from outside the building following soon after. A maelstrom of sakura flower petals burst into the building, whipping around all those gathered like a terrible storm before coalescing once more into the massive form of the rose-winged and blackened flesh form of her draconic beast! Kado’s hair whipped free around her in the violent winds, and she stood tall with her head unbowed towards Loki.
“She had found peace. The disease that claimed her in life, it still resides within her flesh.” Kado explained, her rage becoming as ice and fire in her words. “You claim you can bring them back permanently. Which means she would suffer permanently. I cannot… no, I WILL NOT ALLOW HER TO SUFFER!” the red head roared, Thorn matching his mistress’s cries with his own.
“I will not allow her to suffer, I will not allow her to exist as your bargaining chip, I will not allow her to be your damned pet, puppet, or whatever she is through your Quirk! Not even for the sake of my own happiness!” Kado decreed, although one thing stopped her from ordering Thorn to attack the skeleton bastard right then and there for what he had done.
The appearance of a certain young blonde third year UA student, who she had tried and subsequently failed to recruit to her shop’s employ. Who was apparently in someway connected to Thundershock and his Lilly… The only connection she could see was the blonde hair and the fact that both women in that scene had… plant manipulation Quirks… Oh.
Well that is certainly awkward… But no more awkward than the speech the young heroine in training just gave. Kado gave a slight nod of approval to Miku. “Well said my dear, but with one slight correction.” she said, stepping forward once more. “He is no God. The real Loki of mythology holds no power over the dead. That domain belonged to his daughter, Hel. Which means that this fool is an uneducated one trying to play at being a popular figure.” Kado explained.
Kado looked up to her beast, its thorn covered vines twitching at the anticipation of combat. “From destruction comes creation. Such is my Quirk, and such is nature. Such is life.” she said, somewhat philosophically. “You who belittle life as a mere game… can never comprehend that simple truth.” said Kado, referring to Loki’s earlier declaration.
She turned her gaze towards Mashu. “Grandmother… thank you…” she said before turning her attention towards Thundershock and his beloved Lilly. “It was truly a pleasure to meet you… I only wish it had been under far better circumstances.” She said with a bow of her head, returning her focus to Loki. “And to everyone here, I am sorry… But I think that it’s about time this bag of bones was turned into fertiliser for what he has done.”
Kado held out a hand once more, her middle finger and thumb pressed together. “Thorn. Consume.” She ordered, snapping her fingers. Before the sound had even finished, the giant plant-like beast surged forth its thorn covered vines, seeking to wrap them around Loki’s body in an attempt to begin draining his energies from the skeleton bastard!
The vines snapped out, just as the boy in the welders mask hurled their gas tank towards the Lich. His plan immediately became clear to Kado, and she had Thorn pull his vines back before the fire could reach the draconic beast. "Protect!" Kado ordered, trying to have Thorn try to use his vines to grab Miku and get her the fuck away from the explosion's radius and Loki, attempting to "yeet" her as the kids would say towards her family.

It hurt.
It hurt so much.
It felt like she was spiralling. Falling. Deeper into a black pit from which there was no escape. She could hear whispers in her mind; memories, someone calling out to her. Someone begging for her to do... something. She pulled in tighter. Her face hurt. Something grit against her skin. Her heart ached, no, it felt as if it had been maimed; ripped from her chest and torn to pieces. She could feel her own fingers, cold, ice cold, wrapped around her own throat. Was she choking? She couldn't see anything. She could feel it though. Something creaking beneath her skin, something... warm.
A voice. "Sonya... hold on..."
She twisted in that black pool of endless water. Her body writhing as it was swaddled in cloth. Hold on? To what? Why? What was she holding on for? There was nothing out there. Nothing around her. Nothing- words. More words. More sound. More ... light inside of her mind. "Take the time you need..." So gentle. Sweet. Something... the ground shifting... the world rocking. Something shifted her. Her eyes opened. She was wrapped in cloth. She looked up, peeking through the warmth at Kado's back. She was saying something. Something so... profound. Beautiful. Real. True.
More words sank in. Thunder Shock. Standing by his love in her undeath. Demanding her to stay with him. That was his choice. Not for her to judge. Bags under her eyes, silver blood leaking from her, she tried to rise. No strength. She pressed her head against the ground and coughed when she breathed in black ash. She gagged and rolled onto her side again, letting out a moan. She closed her eyes, let it end already. Let the pain go. Let it stop. Let this quirk of hers finally devour her. That's what it wanted, wasn't it? That's what was going to happen anyway. Then let it come and let her die. She wasn't going to see Setsuna in the afterlife anyway.
She smiled up at the sky. Setsuna was destined for somewhere better.
"MIKU, GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THERE."
She looked. Miku was there. She was so sweet. So small. Like she was when at boarding school. Same haircut too. Adorable. She bit her lip and looked up at the sky again. What was she doing? Something about... Setsuna and... Loki? A god? Why? Something about chains. She clenched her fists, something burning in her chest. She tried to shake off the unpleasant feeling but it kept burning hotter and hotter. There it was. There she was. She rolled onto her side, looking with dark-hooded eyes at Fix, he was assessing the situation, trying to figure out where to start. Or perhaps if he should run. She smiled at him and slipped, falling onto her face as Loki continued to speak.
That condescending, rancid, aimless, thoughtless, worthless piece of garbage.
She snarled and rested her elbows on the ground. She had to move. She had to get up! She had to! She had more strength than this! She snarled again and pushed. She looked up at Loki and felt the world begin to sink back into her as the reality of what had happened finally sank in. Setsuna. She'd been forced to kill Setsuna. She gagged, cupping her mouth and forcing the bile down. She placed a hand on the ground and pushed, trying again to get up. She fell onto her side and exhaled. She took another deep breath and grit her teeth. The rage built, higher, higher, higher. She wasn't going to be strong enough to fight that monster. Not alone.
She let out a gasp, then a laugh. No she couldn't beat him. Not yet. Not like this. Killing Setsuna had taken all of the fight out of her. She'd recover, but she needed light and the clouds were obscuring what was likely a moon lit night. She'd have to burn her internal reserves. Not pretty or elegant, but she wasn't the type to stand on ego if it meant accomplishing her goals. She'd fight until there was nothing left. She had to. Not just for her. But for her ideals. For her dream. For the goal she'd set and for the woman who'd died to wake her up. She bore her teeth as the ground began to crack and tremble.
"Undeath, you fly in the face of death, running away from it, hiding from it, pretending you can defeat it, deluding yourself..." Ishtar muttered, just loud enough to be heard by those nearest to her. She smiled and raised her head, holding up her hand as the pale light wreathed its way around it. "...but Loki..." She said darkly; "I am death. The cold chill of death, and you aren't getting away from me..." She snarled, throwing her head back, her quirk flaring, light blossoming off her skin. She drew in her lungs and let out a piercing cry.
"KAFKA! I KNOW YOU'RE LISTENING YOU SICK SON OF A BITCH!" She screamed, clenching her fists. She'd had enough. She'd had enough of being just Sonya. Just Ishtar. Just... mortal. "YOU HAVE A DEAL! I'LL DO IT! I'LL ACCEPT MY ROLE!" She howled, spending her lungs completely. Her arms fell to her side; "Just kill that son of a bitch for your goddess, that's an order, you stupid roach," She snarled, dropping to a knee and looking over at Fix and smiled as the light began to flood back into her skin. "Guess you missed your chance... sorry kid," She said, looking up at a break in the clouds.
She'd digest everything around her once she had the strength to stand. Her quirk would protect her for now, but she was not strong enough to run or move just yet. Just a few more moments. There was so much going on her mind would have to take a moment to catch up.

1067 WC oh great, liability | Bait? Oh. Yeah, no, Chimera understood after a moment, looking between the curled up and crying Ishtar and Thunder clinging to the reanimated corpse of his...wife? The other villainess had wrapped her in her cloak for some sort of protection, or privacy, but would anyone here actually take a shot at her like that? Chimera knew he couldn't. He wanted to. He should, as a hero, stop the villains even when things felt...unfair. Because at the end of the day he doubted a villain would care if you were crying over the body of a loved one. Thunder Shock probably wouldn't have stopped from electrocuting one of them in the other's place. Probably. He was a villain, after all.
...this is too much for me to think about. Not right now. If I stop to think about this I'm going to spiral and I need to be alert. I need to be able to think clearly.
Chimera drew in a breath--
"Hnngh!" He immediately gagged, the sound resounding in his voice module in a way that sounded like churning gears. Oh God that was vile. The air was suddenly full of the stench of decay, of rotting, of something that shouldn't be here--yet, oddly enough, it was what he had expected of the zombies, and had been surprised to find it lacking. Now it was here and full force. Chimera took a swaying step back to cover the slits at the end of the mask's "beak" with his paws. He could feel stomach acid licking the back of his throat, threatening to spill over and out. Oh fuck that was awful. What the hell was that smell?!
The question was, appropriately, answered by the sudden appearance of the skeletal man. Although he didn't introduce himself Chimera had no doubt who they were. Or wouldn't have any, if his head would clear quicker. This was Loki? The villain who had caused this? He...he had set this up, just like Yojin had muttered. A trap for catching and collecting the villains of Tokyo to his side. But for what? What reason, what purpose? With this army of the undead he could probably take out this whole city if he wanted to--he just needed to find the right willing Quirker corpses to follow after him and his rule.
Then why need villains like Thunder Shock and Ishtar to bow to him?
Maybe he just thinks it'll be easier to have them on his side instead of fighting them. Makes sense. Even if he's wildly strong it would still be a lot of effort to fight off these guys and the heroes trying to take him out.
Fuck. We should tell the heroes. He's right here, dammit. They all are.
But that would mean exposing everything else, wouldn't it?
All of Chimera's thoughts stopped dead when a different something caught his attention, just moments before the cloak was pulled away. Something cutting through the scent of death that made him want to vomit. Something familiar, and, in a frightening way, something similar to the scent of the woman in the arms of Thunder Shock. Floral, sweet, something like tulips or hyacinths or...
...well, lilies.
Miku?! Chimera only managed to not shout in shock because of how he felt like just one word would cause his stomach to spill out, but he lowered his arm and bent his knees, already in a tenser posture, ready to spring in a second. Fuck. Miku. Miku was here. That was why it was so familiar--the trees, the flowers, the dragon made of plants; he had thought that was what he had been catching, and what made him worry that Miku was here. But it wasn't that. Well, it was now. But it had been the other woman. The woman with Thunder.
Miku looked right at them, at Yojin and his goddamn flamethrower, and Yojin in turn gave her the coyest of annoying gestures--a silent "Don't say anything".
Surprise, Miku, we've been secretly running an underground support gear shop in Tokyo and selling to villains and vigilantes. Looks bad, I know. Did you know you were Thunder's daughter? Does anyone else know that? Does he?
The way he shouted her name--hell, even knew her name--said yes.
Oh goody this was going to be a fun conversation later. Assuming they lived.
Chimera moved without thinking. As Yojin stepped aside from him Chimera jolted forward, aiming, at first, to rush in and grab Miku and get her as far away from the skeletal figure as possible. Let it never be said, though, that Yojin was a good team player. A sudden fireball going off distracted him and forced him to skid to a halt, avoiding, thankfully, running right into the damn thing, but it also meant he missed his chance to grab Miku before someone else could. Which naturally somebody else did. The vines of Verdure's dragon had gone to wrap around her, and began to toss her in the direction of Thunder Shock.
But Chimera was faster. He swerved and leaped with his arms out long to grab Miku out of the air before she was even half-way to her destination, before they pulled her in tight so that when he landed she didn't get hurt or jostled about. It was easy, because to him she was tiny and light as a doll. Now, he knew she wasn't weak, not by any means, but against these people? He wasn't going to just let his friend be tossed into the arms of a murderer.
And if she would be okay with that...?
No. No, this is Miku we're talking about. Even if Thunder Shock is her father she's not like that at all. She has to want to get out of here. No way she'd...
...but what about her mom...?
Chimera looked over his shoulder at Thunder Shock, having landed at a distance from them in the shop, on the opposite side that Yojin had gone to throw his firebomb. This was a bad place to be. Yeah, there was a fast exit here if he went for a window but he was also too far from Yojin to grab him, too.
"...sooo..." he grumbled, and his voice module distorted his voice, but beneath it his real, anxious tone was audible to the girl in his arms. As well as the trace of a manic, panicking smile. "...this how you saw your day going?"
"If you tell me to put you down, I will. Or I can keep playing tank for you."
Again.

The skeleton's gaze focused on Thunder Shock, his first question making the lich reply calmly despite the clear rise of hostility in the group. "The words their meaning are exactly what they are meant to be: I can bring your wife back to life, after all that is your 'true desire' isn't it? To accomplish that, I invited your feisty little daughter over."
He paused, letting the man speak more, yet upon Thunder Shock's accusation of manipulating the villains he merely shook his head. "Encourage, not manipulate. I gave the three of you an opportunity to fulfill that which you desired, of course, as your daughter so wisely deducted, my services don't come for free."
However, Kado's enraged exclamation made the lich go silent, a hand reaching for the side of his skull as he pondered lightly. "You do realize that prior to her reanimation she was a skeleton? as you said the cancer was in her flesh, her body and upon her reanimation it was obviously no longer there. She's likely more healthy than you are currently."
Mashu laughed heartily, waving her cane back and forth and hummed happily. "My little girl is a florist, not a biologist, never was one of her best subjects at school~"
However, Kado's words only earned a chuckle from the lich when she was lecturing the crowd on the existence of the name Loki. "Well, not exactly. The dead might be one of the domains I hold power over, but considering my audience I thought it would had been fairer for me to take on my true appearance. I'll shall make a reminder next time to put on my suit."
Yet as Ishtar chose to speak, the man's skull turned to face her. "You are far from the embodiment of 'Death' child. Death serves no master, and you just cried for the salvation from a new one." Although the name was one that made his eyes get that familiar crimson glint in them. "Although, it is a nostalgic name you call upon. But not one that will be your savior."
However, all this time, even as Kado summoned her giant plant dragon anew within the building, attempting to reach out to Miku to save her, it was just when Yojin fired the gas tank toward the skeleton, that the moment the projectile detonated that the woman in Thunder Shock's arms tried to warn them.
"No! Don't try to fight him! He's too-" But her words were frozen, just like Thunder Shock would feel her trembling in his arms, showing an emotion which she rarely did without good cause: fear.
The flames engulfed the lich, consuming his entire body and the surrounding area in a pyre of flames while Mashu rapidly hopped to the side, landing a few meters down the first floor beside Kado and Ishtar. For a while the flames continued to rage while Lilly looked pleadingly at Thunder Shock. "Taku, you need to take Miku out of here! That man, he isn't normal!"
Just as she declared those words it began: the flames started to turn obsidian in color, slowly sizzling as if the power was being drained away, and at last the consequences of the attack were visible: The robe of the lich was burnt in several areas, the roots and vines of Kado's dragon still holding him in place despite the order from earlier, the grip of the skeleton's hand on it being the reason it was unable to accomplish its secondary task. the fact the vines had been damaged for a large part by the fire. The lich's skeleton seemed to have turned pitch black, unmoving.
"Yare... yare... I guess this is why I don't deal with children that well." Swiftly his burn skeleton started to regain its white coloration, a hand raised toward the roots of Thorn that had binded him. "I believe, a bit of force will help you all see reason?"
As he inquired, Thorn would suddenly have cried out in agony, and no doubt Kado would realize why, the very plant essence, the bark, the vines, the very nature that build this creature was decaying at an unnatural fast rate, withering till it finally collapsed onto the ground, using the last of its strength to serve as a shield for its master.
However, it was at this time a blessing, or perhaps curse in disguise showed itself as the window on the ceiling above came crashing down, a long rope sizzling down as a man wearing a suit of armor unpleasantly familiar to Thunder Shock showed itself: The very same suits that were being developed in Semper Fi, but judging from the peculiar blue liquids flowing through the suits it might had been a different model.
"We have found you at last monster! Cease and surrender at once!"
Meanwhile the side to the building exploded, right where Yojin, Ishtar, Mashu and Kado were standing, several rows of armed soldiers rushing in. Five of them were aiming what appeared to be rifle-like weapons at the group, while five others were holding riot shields and lance-shaped tazers, although likely of a much higher power than a regular tazer.
It seemed their arrival clearly displeased Loki, who groaned under his breath. "First they cry for Kafka, now the Witch her minions appear, I should have left the PR to someone else." He lifted his skeleton hand to the armored soldier, and while his target attempted to lash at him with the large metallic gauntlet, the metal itself started to bend slightly when it attempted to reach the lich. Soon held in mid-air by the lich, his grip on the man's head tightened and then... riiiiiip
With a sickening sound his body gave in to the pressure, like a ragged doll collapsing while a fountain of a crimson liquid rose up in the air. Likely enough to make a certain heroic disguised goat get in trouble. Loki released his grip on the corpse and lifted his head at Miku, Chimera, Thunder Shock and Lily.
"You will reconsider your attitude if you wish to see your wife saved Thunder Shock, I did not ask for servitude, but even I am a man of limited patience. We will meet again, at least if the witch doesn't find you first."
And with those words he stepped back, preparing to enter into the black swirling gate just as several more of the soldiers started to drop down from the rooftop between the space the former group occupied..

686 WC well shit | A lot of bad things happened in very rapid succession.
The fire didn't look like it had done anything, aside from either charring Loki just enough to aggravate him, or maybe only just aggravating him. The scent still lingered in the air and made Chimera lurch a little. The only smell worse than the worse smell in the world was the smell of that thing burning. It made it harder and harder to focus. But he managed to catch slivers of the words around him. Lily, the one who had to be Miku's mother, wanted them to run. Was it really so dangerous? Was it just because she was her mother, and wanted to protect her? Why would Loki even bring Miku here--what did he mean that he brought Miku here to grant Thunder's "true desire"?
A thought came and suddenly the words came out before he could even think.
"...y'know, in a couple of games," Chimera spoke louder, hoping, in an insane way, that Thunder would hear him as well, "Liches would need a vessel to permanently reanimate the dead. Somebody living who was related to the dead person to stick the soul or whatever into." He let out a weak, frantic chuckle and his paws pulled Miku even tighter to his chest, careful not to harm her. "Do you think that's why he brought you? Cause I'm thinking 'fuck that'."
Then suddenly the ceiling burst open. Chimera was, thankfully, far enough away from it to not be worried about debris, but the noise still made him tense again, ready to run again. One of Loki's minions? Nope, even better...
Oh. Great. Military. Guns. How many are--fuck, Yojin!!
As more militia pushed into the room and cut the six of them (he was counting the living, not the dead, and he certainly was counting Loki in the latter group from smell alone) into two even groups, Chimera growled louder, but from a place of fear rather than anger. Goddammit he couldn't see him anymore! He couldn't even smell or hear him over everything else. Not again. Not again.
They're going to shoot him. They're not going to know who we are. We look like criminals, and look who we're travelling with. Would it change anything even if they knew? It didn't before. Hell it might even give them more of a--
There was a sickening tearing sound. One Chimera recognized. His head swiveled towards it, and toward the sudden, horrifying change in the room's scent. It did a complete one-eighty from the blanket of vile, vomit inducing rot that was Loki's mere presence, to something so sweet and fresh and raw that it made his mouth water. His eyes caught sight of it after his nose had. Blood.
Chimera whole body shuddered and his hold on Miku became too tight, claws almost digging into her arm and leg. The red of his eyes blew wide as his pupils turned into pinpricks behind the yellow glass of his horned mask. It smelled so good. It smelled so good. It made his stomach growl, his reason start to slip away. And it was absolutely everywhere in this room. The floor, the ceiling, it sprayed across Loki and some of the militia around the body--
[smear:#46c3eb]Not now. Not here. No. No no no nono o no no--[/smear:#32297a:0]
Just a bite. She's small and weak. On the throat. She's already caught.
Prey.
I can't I can't I'll hurt them I'll hurt her I'll hurt him I have to go no NO NO NO--!!
He was running before his mind could catch up with him.
That was a good thing though.
He ran straight for one of the broken windows, taking out what remained of the glass with his horns, and was out on the street in seconds. His breathing was hard. He wasn't thinking clearly. He could still smell it. Like salt and copper and honey and nobody wo[smear:#6594dc]uld even know if he just took a little--[/smear:#990000:2]
Farther he had to get farther away he had to get away before he hurt anyone.
Luckily he was very, very fast.

Holy shit holy fuck. So much to absorb and so much to take in. In so little time! Miku saw some guy... well 2 people. Both helmeted or masked, she couldnt see their faces. But one had these horns. The other pressed a finger to his lip, indicating silence. And then there was a masked villain telling Miku about the norse goddess Hel. Miku couldnt quite react to her since so much happened. Plus te two guys called her and told her to be silent. She had to focus on them. Miku nodded and started to sneak her way towards them. She slowly walked on her tippy toes and hoped the villains would be distracted by engaging in chatter with eachother. But alas, Thunders shriek telling or YELLING to her to get away from there, caused her to jump lose her cool and try to rush to the other 2. "AW COME ON!!! MUST YOU SAY MY REAL NAME OUT LOUD TO THE ENTIRE WOLRD!??! ROOD DOOD!!! LIKE TOTAL AMATUER MOVE!!!" Miku thought to herself. But she tripped and fell due to stress and everything. Suddenly she felt a vine or two grab her and wrap around her and toss her towards Thunder. Miku was now annoyed, she had an annoyed expression and her arms crossed as she was tossed "Welp, I guess Im going to Thunder" she thought to herself, that is until she was caught by someone. Looking up, she saw the helmeted masked goat guy. She wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head against his chest and smiled "My hero" she said as she was sure happy to be with a friendly face Well, friendly was a stretch after all who the hell was friendly here. She had no idea who this was. She managed to look and see the other guy. And thats when she recognized the flamethrower of doom that was used against her. That was a traumatic time indeed "No way... thats not. No it cant be... Yojin? But wait, if thats Yojin, than this masked man is Chimera.... No no, it cant be... Chimera is too... He'd draw the line at Yojins shennanigans. They're not THAT crazy, right?" Miku thought to herself. In hindsight, she could just ask. But that'd be way too simple, now wouldnt it?
"...sooo..." suddenly he spoke up. But his voice was... robotic? Of course, he had a voicy thingy. Miku listened as he asked if this was how he saw his day going. "Nope" she answered briefly He then asked if she tells him to put her down, he will or he can play tank for you "Hold me please. This is my safe space" Miku answered. She was sure this was Chim. But in a way she really hoped this wasnt him. Because she doesnt wanna admit to him, but she likes being in his arms. Its so fluffy and he's strong and very galant, if thats the word for it. But also a part of her went... "Holy shit, this has got to be Chim and I think he's a lot crazier than I thought. Play tank? What is this madness??" Miku thought to herself
And just when she thought things were crazy, things got crazier. Due to being in Chims arms, she didnt see it, but she did hear it BOOM!!! That made her panic. Honestly both were in panic mode "Run run!" Miku spoke. She tried to sound encouraging, leaderly and calm. But she was actually panicky and tried to hide it. Because a LOT of bad things happened in a very rapid succession! Her... partner? Friend? Classmate? Person? Chim? Spoke up. Miku didnt know did he speak to her or Thunder. His voice distorted by the thingy, he said in a couple of games that liches use a vessel to permanently reanimate the dead. Like a relative to stick their soul and whatever.
Miku felt him pulling her closer to his chest, she didnt mind that. She liked how he was protective of her and not evil. Or at least she hoped this wasnt an evil person with a Chimera quirk. He asked Miku if thats why he brought her "Y-yeah... Fuck that" Miku said, agreeing with him. Well... she was glad he wanted her safe.
Then suddenly the ceiling burst open. Miku tried to see what was up, but couldnt. She held onto her hero with one hand, as she used her other to reach into her fanny pack and grab one seed. After which she held him once again, both arms around his neck. Miku listened and just gulped as that sounded like military. This must be what Semper Fi was like for people. She then heard him growl. Miku couldnt see what was up due to chest. But also at most she could see his helmet mask thing. Then Miku heard another sound. She didnt know what it was, but part of her didnt want to her. And yet strangely she had a deja vu that made her shudder. That sound felt like those years ago when she first saw G. After all, even now G's battle motto is Rip and Tear.
After Miku suddered, so did her partner Chim, which she didnt expect. Suddenly Miku felt the hold on her tighten. It wasnt as protective as before. It didnt feel protective, it felt worrying. She felt his claws. They were almost digging into her. They were very close to. Miku was worried and she placed her hand on his cheek or where the cheek would be if it wasnt masked or helmeted "H-Hey. Are you ok? Speak to me please" Miku asked worriedly her partner. If only she had the courage to ask if its Chim. She still felt bad that part of her didnt want this to be Chim
But still, realizing she has to act. She tried to look away from his face and chest. She turned as much as she can, only to see a window right on time. Once again, she quickly hid her face in his chest for safety, she didnt want her face to be cut by the leftover glass, which she heard shattered. Miku quickly threw her seed and activated her quirk, getting the woodland dragon to grow from the seed. Chimera would be very familiar with the summon.
The two soon landed on the dragons back and Miku made the dragon continue what Chim was doing. Running and fleeing. Or in this case flying and fleeing. Miku was aware her goaty friend had a partner. So she wasnt gonna just up and abandon him. After all that person might be Yojin. But then she saw more army stuff "Dont stop dragon!" she commanded her creation which flied around frantically to avoid any danger. Miku then spoke to her partner "Chimera. Is that you? If its you. Please let me down. We can talk?... I mean we can talk even if you arent Chimera... sir?" she asked him if he was who she thinks he was. But then became shy at the idea that she might be talking to a strangely dreamy stranger.

Yojin staggered back from the explosion of heat, feeling the wave of fire even though his mask, and protective clothing. For a second, he dared to hope he’d created an opening, but--
Oh bullshit! Can he “kill fire?” What’s his damn quirk!?
Loki did look crispier, but Yojin had the brief, unpleasant suspicion he’d just pissed the guy off. Meanwhile--
Chimera had darted into action, grabbing Miku. Yojin felt excitement surge through his body. Thank Greenie’s dragon, thank his friend, that was the only hostage he cared about. Isthar was getting up, she was free, they could fight. His sighted down his taser--
“Children? I think he means you, Ishtar. I mean. If we’re going by height--” Yojin muttered through his teeth, voice full of hysterical gallows humor.
But before he could launch a shot, the ceiling exploded with soldiers.
Yojin dived behind cover in the back of the shop, adrenaline playing panic sirens in his entire body. The world seemed to slow down. Yojin got a great, front-row view of some uncomfortable familiar looking body armor on the men, and then an even closer look as one of them died at Loki’s hands.
The first blood of tonight.
It was messy.
Yojin felt vomit rise in the back of his throat. He tried to run, and fell to his knees, shaking from head to toe. This wasn’t fun anymore. It was time for him and Chimera to go.
Where was Chim--
Yojin saw his friends back vanish out a window.
Blood. Fuck.
Loki and the troops were firmly between him, his roommate, and Miku.
Yojin felt another bout of hysterical laughter rise up in his chest, mixing with the bile in his throat.
He was trapped. Trapped with Ishtar, Greenie, a bunch of spec-ops looking soldiers that Yojin had last seen trying to kill him, personally, and Loki. Thought that last one wasn’t going to last, because Loki was running through the portal, apparently not a super-villain who felt the needle to handle things personally. His bargain had been refused, soldiers had entered, exit stage left, twirling undead mustache.
“I--” Yojin stumbled on his words, looking between the villains, and the retreating Lich. Isthar looked murderous, and Yojin felt his own frustration boil over. He shouted at the lich's back, his voice a furious screech. “Fuck! Coward! Fucking. Coward! Come on, Ishtar! Pretend he’s a prison, or a UA-third year! Fuck him up!”
He could barely think about what he was saying. He just wanted to run. Or for the undead bastard to drop dead. (Again) Or Ishtar to drop dead. He’d taken the one shot he had, and it’d been all for nothing.
As the soldiers closed in, Yojin hissed through his teeth, stepping toward them...and dropping his gun, raising his hands in surrender.
“H-hey! Johnny-law.” He said, now addressing the troops. “I’m just caught up in this shit! Look! I'm surrendering! See! You can point those guns somewhere else!"
Maybe he could slink away now.
That’d be great.
Maybe if they tried to tase him, he could reach out fast enough to grab the gun, and turn it off.
Maybe if he closed his eyes, he wouldn’t see them brutally taste him even though he wasn’t resisting.
Maybe if they did brutally tase him, he’d miss what Ishtar and Greenie were probably about to do to these poor fuckers.
Maybe he could just forget this had all happened.
Ha!

Out of all of those gathered here, Thundershock seemed to be the only one willing to hear out Loki. While what he did was detestable, while he dug up the graves of their loved ones he had reanimated them in such a way that they weren’t just rotting corpses or skeletons. They had real bodies, their real bodies. He had felt Lilly’s warmth, felt her heart beating against his as he helped her. By all accounts, the love of his life was alive. She was back from the claws of death! He loved her so intensely that it clouded his better judgement. It made him just desperate enough to hear out the madman in front of them. Of course, in true Thundershock fashion he would always try to spin a situation into his favor. If he could get Loki to work for him and keep Lilly alive, then who knows how much longer she could remain alive… how much this one person could benefit the Kobayashi clan as a whole…
However it seemed like Loki didn’t like his argument by any measure. He simply reinstated his point, knowing full well his own worth. Thunder clicked his tongue in irritation before he shouted to Miku to get away from him. For the time being, he was still a hostile enemy, and he didn’t want his daughter anywhere near him. He didn’t know of her hero name, and in the heat of the moment only called her by her real one… which was a bad dad move it seemed when Miku yelled back at him.
It seemed like his cry set off a chain reaction of events however as soon there was a gas canister flying through the air towards Loki. his eyes grew wide as he grit his teeth, ready to move towards the upcoming flames to save his daughter. Thankfully though, Greenie acted first by summoning her plant dragon and using it’s vines to pick up Miku and throw her towards him. He reached out his arms, ready to grab her when another figure appeared in front of him, grabbing her instead and running off towards the back of the pack.
“GET BACK HERE WITH HER! AS IF I'D LET THAT HAPPEN!” He growled towards chimera, not having been there when he first joined their group, and not having paid any attention to him whatsoever once he had discovered Lilly. Thunder had no idea if Chimera was a friend or foe. However, before charging towards him with intent to kill, he had to turn his back to him and use his body to cover Lilly as a loud BOOM erupted within the store. Flames soared through the air above them, licking at everything within it’s range.
“Lilly, you go after Miku. If anything, you deserve your chance to be with her. Leave this to me.” He said to her with a gentle brush through her hair. He then moved his hand to her chin, tilting it up so that he could kiss her deeply.
As soon as the flames subsided, he would let go of Lilly, and give her a shove towards the back of the group where Chimera had taken off with Miku. In front of him, Loki took some obvious damage, but he didn’t seem ready to give up his goals, and neither did Thunder.
Just as Thundershock turned towards Fix, a ball of lightning forming itself in his hands, the ceiling came crumbling down as the military forces began to crash their party. Thundershock growled in irritation as even Loki was taking this as his cue to leave. Thundershock extended his hand, pointing his finger at Loki and locking eyes with the man.
“We’re not done discussing this! Get out of here!” He ordered, looking towards Greenie and Ishtar with clear murderous intent in his eyes.
“Don’t you dare touch him! Let him retreat!!” He was clearly ignoring the military forces at this point, letting the man’s taunts fall on deaf ears as he organized what he considered his own forces.
“All of you get the hell out of here! It’s not worth taking his down at this point! Lilly! Take care of our girl. Greenie, Ishtar, fight em from the sky! You, shut the fuck up.” He ordered them all, finally turning to Yojin who was immediately surrendering to the military forces. What the hell was he going on about… if he thought they would spare him he was a complete moron. These suits meant they were the same forces from Semper-Fi, and very Anti Quirker. Thundershock moved quickly towards Yojin, grabbing him by the back of the shirt(armor?) and hem of his pants. With a prompt YEET, he sent Yojin flying towards the entrance of the store where he hoped the others would also retreat too.
By the time he turned back to the military forces, blood had already been spilled. He only nodded his acknowledgement of the action by Loki before stepping towards the forces. His body lit up like a firework, lightning dancing over his skin before erupting into every direction around him. Everything metallic in the store would soon be charged by his electricity, and he began firing one bolt after another towards any of the military members that would approach his comrades. And yes, right now those comrades included Fix.
