Things were, complicated. The fact that someone had risen the dead and they were aimlessly wandering around, wasn't helping that case. That being said, with the mix of various forms of the undead, Kasey was left in a strange position. A single skeleton stood erect beside her, the two of them armed with their weapons. A katana in her hand, and two large sticks in his, comparable to baseball bats. The black van they had taken, the front end of it was covered in blood, and the back of it was opened. Inside, was a few zombies already tied up, to keep from biting, and scratching others. Bags over their heads as they faced the next target just a block away. "Should we play it safe to not offend the living, Tsu?""I think it's time we get our own fill, Bones."The short cropped snakeskin jacket hung over her, as they both stared off at the next zombie. They pondered their options. They could just kill it, make a bit of piece, or they could leave it be for someone else, they got what they came for. Setsuna would hand over his weapons to the girl, and when they would both touch it, it would be dismissed and reabsorbed into her body. He would shut the back of the van as they observed the distant figure. Kasey's own attire akin to something different than normal. Her slim fitting black pants, the expose bandages she was used to wearing, and the black gloves over her hands. Her hair colored violet, as a mask of bone covered her face. "Skeletons I think we can kill no issue, but the ones with skin, we need to clear first." She would say to her own skeleton, one that had a human body, standing just a foot taller than her, and a skill similar to a cow's, with its long horns. What were they do to? ~ Word Count: 322 ~ |

Meiko was free and enjoying her freedom, doing what every villain does best. But what she didnt expect as she roamed Tokyo was to see the walking dead. Notably a few skeletons trying to attack some people. Meiko walked over to the scene and pulled out a sword from the palm of her right hand. Switching the sword from left hand to right, she slashed the skeletons in one fell swoop. What civillian was there was soon also stabbed as she was not a Vigilante. She just didnt want the dead to take her kill. Nor did she want any spread of a zombie virus. And if this was a pandemic of an apocalypse, Meiko had to say it was very underwhelming
She walked and looked around just to see what is going on. As she walked she saw a van up ahead. She was coming from the back and she saw zombies there? She casually walked and started to approach whoever that was "Eyo! Are you behind the zombie apocalypse?" Meiko asked the two in the distance she was closing. Was this someone she had to kill or was this another one of those weirdo villains who would experiment on a zombie?

"Only if you consider skeletons zombies alone." she would answer back. "I suppose, with a question like that, you aren't the man we're after." Setsuna would chime in. "Unless you're a woman whose name is Loki." he asked, unprompted by the woman, his own curiosity. He was far bolder now, and more willing to dance with mortals given the circumstance. The sword was pointed to the opposing female, "Though, while I can appreciate the choice of weapons, I'll have to give a warning to approach any closer." A smile, she was wanting the taste of blood for a while now, only to narrow her eyes at the woman. "Bones." the figure would lightly say to the woman. The bits and pieces of what they saw, lining up with past stories, and other events. "I'm pretty sure we know her.""Well it's not Cherry, Moomoo, Kyoko or..." She pondered the thought. "Oi, does the name Army of Bones mean anything to you?" A question, one that would solve any problems before they would arise. Well, hopefully at least. They might not have known who it was exactly, they could toss around a few guesses. It wasn't like orderly steps was a normal sound to hear. They could hear her walking, and the fall of a body that was probably once living. A bloodied weapon was an easy sight, though if they killed dead or the living was hard to say. everything now, was a guess. But if they were willing to kill on sight, perhaps they would be rather helpful, even for just a little while. "Or Persephone, I suppose." he would add, trying to cover their bases. A sour look from the woman before he would shrug. "It's not like we kept those names separate, besides, you really think Boss would care?"~ Word Count: 303 ~ |

Meiko listened to the two speak. Once they were done she answered "Loki? So thats who's behind it. Huh" she said and placed a hand on her elbow. She continued "Listen, Im not Loki. And Im not really ending this apocalypse because Im no hero. Im just going where its safe. Also speaking of your names. I'll say Army of Bones sounds familiar as does Persephone. On that chat Im Eros. And if you're mentioning that other chat too, Im the admin" Meiko said
She couldnt connect the face to either of those names, but the names were familiar. "So what are you doing here Army or Persy or whatever you want me to call you" Meiko asked She could guess herself maybe, but she wanted to hear it from them what their intentions were. As well as a decent name for what she could call them. It cant be one or the other, like dude just pick. Besides, Meiko had to go, she felt like she was low on fuel. Her blasted Quirk makes her hungry and starved. That whole jail thing really messed her up. She isnt sure if she got out of there stronger or weaker and scrawnier. She looked at the duo with her tiring eyes, looking to see if she can recognize any of them

Things always did get more complicated the more they spent time with it. The longer they lingered, the more fingers would be pointed at them. Granted, this appearance was better than to play hero dressed up like the dead. Perhaps later, but to summon her own servants, so to speak, would make her a target. That she was aware of, now, at least. "Oh hey King, you were right, it was Lala." She would say, lowering her weapon and jabbing a thumb towards her direction. "Alright, I guess I owe you a box then." The silent cheer from the creature as he pulled his fist in with his wordless victory. "Making sure the dead stay dead. If you're trying to stay safe, I can take you to crow, if you haven't gone there already?" She couldn't recall if she met the woman before, but there was an air of familiarity. She had spent just a moment with Crow not that long ago, with a passing experiment. A living person, for a bit of time to pick at his brain. Metaphorically. But she picked at his friend's brain, literally. "Army of Bones is for us both. She is Bones. I am... the army." Saying out loud, seemed a lot more stupid than reading it to himself. It was a stupid name. One that brought its own set of problems. Bones was fine, for the most part, and functioned the same. "Or Skeleton King, or King, if you prefer shorter titles, Lavender."There was only one admin, and it was one the both of them took a minor interest in. They were always so friendly there, it was tiem for them to repay the favor. "Unless you're strictly here to stab the living, with only the dead at the end of your weapon when they're between you and your target, then in that case I can't be of much help." she would say, "I do have a few deliveries to. . . preform?"~ Word Count: 329 ~ |

Meiko went went and forth between looking at the two as they spoke. "Huh. Okay then. Well, Army and Bones. You can call me Lady for short. Since my name is Lady Lavande. Plus its shorter then Lavander" and it is also kinda fitting with their Skeleton King theme, since one of them is King and Meiko herself is Lady, which is also a fancy pants noble title. But she also added "Or as you said Lala... its short too"
They also mentioned Crow and Meiko nodded "Sure, why not. You can escort me to Crow." she was glad to see a friendly face of the chat and not a hero who'd attack her now of all times. Meiko spoke "I'll say, back up is greatly appreciated since I'm a bit suffering the drawback of my Quirk. And I need to recharge before I become a more efficient ally during our battle of zombies and skeletons and ...erm... lich, if one so ever arrives" she shrugged
Meiko just looked forward to getting to Alaster and she liked having the company of someone she can talk to while she traverses these zombie ridden streets. She then looked at the bony duo to see what their answer would be to all of this

Like any game, the main task at hand would be put aside with a random event side quest. She could have said no. She could have denied the idea and went on her own way and left her to her devices. But she was still aware of her situation. All of it, was about upkeeping her appearences. With it, maintaining the network Sato had laid out not that long ago. With Crow on her side, it would have been foolish to disregard Lala. She had to extend the same courtesy. "Lady." the skeletal figure spoke, bowing as he took a step towards Kasey. "Well, Lala." the woman spoke, turning to her creation, only to lean towards him. The both of them neared, as their foreheads would lay against each other. The larger of the two, shrinking, until it would seem his own body was pulled into a portal within the girl. In a flash of a moment, he would vanish. "Let's get you, home? Then?" Home. Did she live with him? Was it wrong to call his own home, hers, if they didn't? Years had passed since then, they had at least moved in together, right? Kasey would step towards her van, and open the driver's door, only to nod her head, signaling her to enter as well. "Recharge? Not sure if I can help with that? I have batteries if that's something you need?" Charging. What was her quirk? Electricity? Maybe it was the same phrase, maybe she was tired, or hungry. "Or snack bars, not sure what you need." As she would take her seat, she would put the key into the ignition, the muffled sounds of the zombies in the back locked away behind a thick metal wall. The rear view mirror replaced with a small camera on the dashboard instead. Something planned, and in mind when the van was intending to haul so many strange things. ". . . or should we make a stop on the way there?"~ Word Count: 331 ~ |

Meiko watched the two and soon the big skellyton vanished. Soon only Bones was left, so the two could go together. Meiko nodded "Lets go" she said and then walked towards the van. Bones opened the drivers door. Meiko vent in the van. Bones asked what did Meiko mean by recharge, but she took it literally "Its a metaphor. Means I need to get my energy. Which for us humans is food." Meiko explained. She wondered if she needed to explain what was a metaphor. Well, if she needed to answer she was ready
Meiko nodded when Bones said snack bars. "Yeah, thats what Im aiming for more. My Quirk makes me hungry and makes me lose weight. I cant overuse it, otherwise I die by starvation. So its a careful balance" she explained. She was in the passenger seat and waited for Bones to turn the key. Which she did. Meiko noticed the zombie noises. It was unsettling
Meiko looked at Bones as she spoke more and answered "Oh well, if you can take me to crow right away, that would be appreciated"She didnt want to bother Bones much as she clearly had her own business to attend to, with these zombies

It was perhaps the strangest, yet simplest interactions she had ever had with another villain. Taking her from point A to point B? All something that was pretty much already on her path of planned travel? Kasey smiled, the sounds behind them growing more muffled as the vehicle would start to move. "Glovebox. Should be some bars in there, and some, well normal jerky. Unless you want the other kind then that's in the container, not the baggy." if she opened up the glove compartment, Kasey would offer a finger to point at what was safe to eat, and give a small explanation if she didn't already know. It was her choice, mixed in with a handful of random candies and things she took from the gas station. Normally that alone would give her conflicted feelings, but with the smashed glass, it was already raided, what was another few dozen things missing? "Ah." She would say, processing the woman's answers. "Calories. Then you're not that different from me then. At least, in the needs to remain alive." The means may have been the same, but their methods varied. With all of the consumed meat in a human's body, Kasey could easily survive for days off one corpse. She would drive, though not fast, just enough to move at a good pace. Her window would roll down, as from her mask, a smaller skull would appear and crawl out, like a large spider. A few of the limbs would extend out of the car, and as they passed each deceased body, the legs would reach out, impale the bodies, and absorb all of the bones that remained. If they were going to fight the walking dead, it would be hard for the dead to stand without structure. "You're rather cut and dry, aren't you?" she asked, trying to cut the silence between them. ~ Word Count: 313 ~ |

Meiko opened the glovebox and saw the jerky "O-oh!" she said genuinely surprised "Thank you" she said as she took the snack. But the next part Meiko didnt understand "Other kind? Other kind of what? Jerky?" she said as she soon removed her mask to eat. Meiko nodded as she chewed. Calories. Yeah. But it was interesting to hear she was not different then her driver. Her quirk made her hungry? "Does your Quirk starve you as well?" Meiko asked curiosuly as she was finishing up on the snack
Bones drove, not fast, but not slow, regular speed which was smart. Meiko looked threw her own window at the road, she didnt notice what Bones did through her own window that she picked up freaky stuff. Meiko glanced back at her driver as she spoke up once again saying she's rather cut and dry Meiko shrugged "I guess so. What makes you say that?" she asked
Is it because she was blunt and not grandiose as that Ishtar woman or angry as Thunder. The two villains that were above her. Meiko was maybe more tame and human than them when she wasnt crazy mode. Which right now, Meiko was the most normal she has been in years. It was a long time that she was just so chill and amicable and not macabre

No. That wasn't right. No wait, that made the perfect sense. She did know her. That day, when she was gathering all of those books, that girl. What was the name she gave? It didn't matter now. Lala was then, as she was now. She followed Crom for as long as Kasey could remember. Even to the unknown patrons. Though, she wondered if Kasey could have been subject to being one of their targets. A wild thought, all to pass by at the cost of some gas station jerky. She remained silent for the question, focusing on the task at hand. Quirk starving her? That did seem more like it was burning active calories, from the stomach directly rather than fat deposits in the body, or other means. Granted, Kasey did have a safeguard. It wasn't something she worried about, when there was something literally in her head, letting her know when to stop, or when to do more than she was already doing. Did this make her stronger or weaker? Or did this make them more different than she had thought? How strange. Even simple quirks could be vastly different once you got past the surface. Maybe it was only in usage that they appeared the same. Was this the limits of the body, or simply of the human mind? "You're someone who gets straight to the point. I'd imagine you'd go directly to what you want and not go around it. If someone is in your way, you take them down." she spoke, a normal recite from her job, before she coughed and cleared up her words. "You seem to say things as they are, you don't... beat the bush, so to speak." That was the saying, right? Or was it don't hit a tree? "That being said, while our quirks may function the same, it was rude of me to impose you live by the same rules." The next line, something that was known, yet something that always seemed unsettling. "There is enough calories in a human body to sustain a person for about a month and a half, provide every inch of meat and muscle is consumed." she spoke, all of it simple statistics for her, but taboo for the world. "That being said, consuming a value this large, say, for example, weekly, would allow you to preform with the limits of over a month of time, into a week."She would look over for a moment, Setsuna would return back to his place within his host once a few dozen were already collected. All just bones to absorb and harvest. "Unless you are one who has gotten used to the taste of mortals, I would suggest you not eat the other jerky, unless you're curious." She spoke matter of fact, there was no joke, no smile. For now, it was her sharing information. "There are people in this world who do not deserve to live. that being said, with the current status of things, I can wholeheartedly say, even with all of my murders, not a single one of my victims is physically able to rise as the dead." A sigh as she looked back at the road, taking the turns needed. It wasn't like it was a far off drive. They would be there soon. "However, I cannot speak on behalf of the other fools among us that victimize others without remorse. It's that carelessness, that requires us to kill the same person twice." She would nod disapprovingly. "At least even those dismembered will remain in their graves." All of this, was wrong. And she knew, it was now, she would be outcasted among both sides. ~ Word Count: 612 ~ |

Meiko and Kasey most likely have met, but Meiko could not remember the encounter due to it being so small and uneventful for the most part. And there were many things that have happened during the past time that it simply slipped her mind. She listened to her driver speak and nodded at the points she agreed. Yes, she doesnt beat around the bush much. She then raised her eyebrow about her thinking that she lives by the same rules. What were those rules she was imagining? And then she spoke about cannibalism. "Uhm, right yeah. You're a cannibal. Listen. Dont try to eat me. I dont let anyone eat me like that. Only in the other way" Meiko said, and in case she didnt know what other way you can eat someone. Meiko would just whisper in her ear what she meant. And she explained that thats the kind of human eating she does
Once that peculiar moment was done. Her driver spoke how her victims cannot rise from the dead. She must've been very thoughrough with her crimes. Like dayum. Meiko couldnt imagine what her scary quirk was. Granted she did see it, but she didnt see its full capabilities

Right. There was a word for that. Why did it slip her mind? Or was it something she was subconsciously choosing not to say? No, she wasn't a cannibal. A cannibal ate people, they devoured people of their own species. If Kasey never considered herself a human, then was she a cannibal still? "Right, the other way." A rude concept. Or perhaps crude? Why were words so difficult to come by now? No, Kasey understood this idea, the wording. It wasn't the first time it was said. "Well, fortunately for you, I wouldn't dare do such a thing to you, at least not while you're attached to Crow." Murder. Revenge. Kasey still understood that it was this woman that ended Leviathan's life, but even so, brutal murder would be something hard to come by. The day she did it, it would cast out all of her relations and start her over. She did what she always did, it was Levi who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. ". . . Yeah that makes sense." she repeated to herself under her breath, thinking about the words that were carefully laid out. It was something strange to admit to, but even so it felt strangely natural. ~ Word Count: 204 ~ |

Meiko didnt say much after that. She implied she'd do that if she wasnt attached to crow. Though she curiously asked "So, how do you know Crow and well whats your relation to him?"
She wanted to change the subject. Meiko looked at her phone to look at the time. Maybe she should call Crow to let him know she was coming home. She really wanted to come home. Its just something she felt. Maybe it was paranoia. But she just wanted to go and already arrive there.
Meiko looked at her gps to see how much til their destination "Man, I sure hope we dont run into a zombie horde" Meiko thought to herself. Because she knew zombies usually go in hordes. She wasnt sure about skeletons, but they were fragile.
"Man, there's something about those zombies, the way they were people once and now we're defiling the dead. I mean, sure I kill people, but I dont mess with a corpse" Meiko thought, but she didnt verbalize that as.... she really doesnt know what to say. She wondered what were the zombies like as people. In a way she is more empathetic to the zombies or curious about them. A strange thing indeed

Nothing was ever simple. Once you got under the surface of things, it got complicated, complex and often just strange. But in this case, of that single question, there was a simple answer. All of it, spawned from the need to pass time. One of the few books that weren't centered around facts, information, folklore or just general information. He was her escape. That was all he was. "I liked his books long before I knew it was him." she answered. "So, I offer my assistance, and in trade, often I get to peek inside the mind of my author, or get a glimpse at a few pages. Nothing more." She would smile, knowing that the couple were more than public about their relationship. Kasey was not going to step between it, she had no interest in him romantically, nor herself. "Strictly business, as all things have become." It was just passing conversation, but it opened a door she wanted to see into. "Though, out of curiosity, and feel free to decline to answer, but how did you meet Crow?" Crowley. It was a simple pen name that made the difference. "I would imagine it would be quite different than your past with G." A single letter. A single syllable. Yet, while nothing rose to the surface of her skin, she could feel the weight of the name on her soul. She wanted answers, desperately. He had always been her beacon of hope. So how did he really get out of things? How did he get away with his own code front before the eyes of heroes? Could she too, be redeemed or was Kasey too far gone? "Only a few minutes." She would say, a task soon completed before she would make her way home. A simple day, ended with a simple deed. ~ Word Count: 304 ~ |
