Wowie, it's that time of year again.
Not that time of year, the Japanese cherry blossom season is actually around April. No, I'm talking about the time of year I get off my tuchus and start ringing bells of wanting. Wanting YOU! Marry me! No, once again, it is not the time of year I marry a random forum member.
We're recruiting new Storytellers!! Woo!
Took us long enough! I'm definitely not to blame!
Let me explain how this goes.
Starting from now and ending on August 1st, Espy and I, along with the general staff committee team congolmerate, will be accepting applications to become one of the site's gloried Storytellers.
But Kelo, you gorgeously average individual, what IS a Storyteller?
Well, my equally average but notably attractive fellow human, allow me to show you!
Put simply, the Storyteller is able to:
1) Control NPCs that are considered too plot-heavy or too powerful for the average member to pilot!
2) Take the helm on major site events, minor mini-events and even the sagas of other members!
3) Create entire swathes of world-building, to give TP's universe that lived-in feeling!
4) Act as mediators to PvP, or be the NPC in a member's thread!
and finally
4) Exclusive access to the Storyteller mini-fridge!!*Minifridge is not available after the 2019 MegaFridge Incident.
There's a bunch that Storytellers can do,
but in the same line, there's a lot we expect from our team.
We expect you to be capable of a consistent quality of writing and a sense of punctuality to your posts and replies.
That's not to say we expect you on deck 24/7 and to reply within 12 hours every single time, but a strong willingness to meet deadlines is seriously appreciated.
Communication skills is very important; if you're not able to post/reply, being able to tell us in advance or as in advance as possible, is crucial to the smooth operating of the site! Telling us what plots your tackling, what threads you're involved in and what events you're participating in is incredibly important.
So please keep those things in mind when you apply!
Now onto how you actually apply for this lucrative position with a $0 salary. It's easy! Simply post below in this thread with the following information:
1) Board Username/Discord Username
2) Time spent on TruePath (to the nearest month)
3) Any events you have participated in as a member (Minievents count, Sagas do not)
4) Any examples you have of writing that you think represents your "Average"
5) Any prior writing experience you have that could help in this position
6) WHY you want to be a Storyteller, you write as much as you wish here!
And that's all there is! Simple as simple! As a note, LITERALLY ANYONE can be a Storyteller, even if you've only been around for 1 month!!
At the end of the application period, our team will take on a certain number of Storytellers and get your right to work slaving in the word-count mines.
Good luck!
P.S - You absolutely MUST have posted and completed your Site Activity Check before you can apply to be a Storyteller, no exceptions!
