Just hearing that little bit weak 'thank you' was all Mosa really needed in the current moment to assure himself things were going forward well. With the discussion moving forward, the girls opinion on his thoughts was, that they could take maybe one more topic for the day. "Of course it is. As long as you yourself can handle it, there is no problem." As usual, they weren't in a rush to go through it. Although, her worries about taking too much of his time were adorable enough to prompt a smile. Usually he put a bit of extra time on the side for first meetings with students, because they tended to go a bit longer than the others.
His pose in his chair changed a little, as he proceeded to take a whole new page out of his notebook for this topic. Now admittedly, like Yumi expected, it was not exactly a surprise to him she was on some list. Ishtar had been very public about her efforts, and word from heroes moved pretty quickly in the campus. For someone who liked rumors as much as Mosa, he had kept on top of it. However, talking with a target of such a thing, was an entirely different perspective. Maybe it was just that mystery novel side of him talking again...
And the way she spoke about it, it was pretty curious. It had apparently been a leak, and not a separate announcement. He started scribbling down notes... and now he was really feeling like a detective. Mosa blinked briefly behind his glasses. Concentrate. Apparently, this list of Ishtars had multiple different names on it, with Yumis being one of them obviously. Of course, she had had her previous sightings of said villain, couple of times in fact, even running from them, which would make it understandable that they wanted her dead.. However, more interestingly, she brought up a name they hadn't said outloud before. 'Red'. A person of importance seemingly to her. Maybe he was the boyfriend? However, for now, he held back on bringing it up. That topic was for another day. It would probably distract her too much if he brought it up now.
Now of course, just the thought of being wanted was kind of scary for here. It was not exactly common. And it was pretty clear she hadn't talked about it with a lot of people not even her parents. And with how she acted, it was clear that the weight of her worries was a bit different sort here. The priority at first, was just calming her down, and for that, Mosa had noticed a small contradiction. It didn't maybe make a difference, but bringing it up was a good idea.
"Now, it is pretty clear you are worried about her aiming for your life. But according to you, she just wants to 'talk'." He made the quotation marks with his fingers. "If that's the case, I don't believe that you are in that sort of danger atleast. Of course, I am not saying you should go and meet her. She is still a villain. but it is an important distinction." Of course whether she was a villain or not, Yumi was still on her list. That hadn't changed, but the reason for it was a question mark. "You also mentioned, that you did see her in the prison, but did you do anything specifically, that could have brought up their ire?" It was a little bit of a diggy question admittedly, but it would certainly help if whatever it was was just 'mildly inconvenient' to them. That sort of things could easily mean that she would be quickly off that list just for the fact that she had more important things to chase. Especially when comparing a student to actual heroes.
"In the end, we can't control the hand of fate. Sometimes this sort of thing happens, for very minor things. Just being at the wrong place at the wrong time is enough for it to be a possibility." He did not expect her to accept this immediately. But as usual, accepting what had happened was the first step to calming down. "In the case of your parents however... it is up to you if you tell them or not." He rubbed his cheek as he wrote down her parents onto the paper. "Of course, talking about things openly, especially with someone who knows you as well as your parents, would be beneficial. Just like here, sometimes saying what you think is the easiest way to get things handled." Although this did bring up another question in his head. "I assume your parents are understanding folk, since they've known you for your whole life. Am I correct in this assumption?" She hadn't actually mentioned them in their discussion about her studies. Guess she was quite independent in that regard.

The first thing Mosa did to approach this topic was choose at Yumi’s own wording and… honestly for any other topic she may have realized something there and tried to re-collect herself but… “N-no offense sir but if a criminal you’d watched casually murder someone told you they ‘just wanted to talk’ would you get the best impression that they were being entirely honest.” She didn’t mean to be rude and her nerves did show in her talking back a bit. She also started to answer his following question in her own retort. “As for doing anything personally no… if anything I was a bit of a coward. I slammed some metal dumpsters in the way of an alley passage to make sure she couldn’t chase us but that’s about it. She was a good distance away so it definitely couldn’t have hurt her… worst thing I did was just SEE her gravely injure some hero but… that’s the worst thing I can think of.” And that was really about it… she’d been cautious of Sonya for a bit thanks to Red… did… if Red was right did Sonya know she was onto her or something or… god she barely even believed him and now he was making her own paranoia worse.
Being unable to control fate was certainly something she couldn’t argue with at least. She didn’t necessarily believe in fate, too much anime as a kid gave her mixed messages on the thing and she was more hopeful as to the idea of free will but… well if science was to be believed most things were pre-determined anyway so… eh. She hung her head back. Less distraught or upset like with the previous topic moreso just… resigned to the reality of the situation, shifting her eyes forward again.
“I wanna tell them it’s just… a matter of how? I mean like I said, what am I meant to tell ‘em? I’m effectively on a hit list? I originally only became a student here to control my quirk and before I’m even a hero someone wants my head…hardly feels… fair?” She let out a defeated little chuckle. “Nothing really gets to be fair when you’re a hero though it seems…” She chuckled a little at Mosa’s assumption though. “Yeah they’re understanding though… maybe a little too much for my own good. I… assumed it may have been on the news at some point, that they may have found out but… they’d have called me if so. They don’t worry too much but… I know they can when it deserves it…”
She rolled back her shoulders and took a slow breath. “Sorry it’s… it’s just a shit situation and not one with a solution really.” She shrugged weakly, still just generally defeated by the idea… Mosa was right. Couldn’t really alter fate on this one… it was just a stress she had to deal with. Maybe she’d talk to a teacher sometime, see if they can inform her parents… something about picking up the phone to tell them about all the shit she was going through scared her and she didn’t fully get why…

Yumi answered Mosas perhaps a bit naive thought quite rationally. "...You do indeed have a point there." In the end, as much as he wanted to calm her down about this, giving some superficial hope perhaps wasn't the best way to go about it. Especially in case of a villain saying something. However, with her explanation about what she had actually seen, Mosa did still feel, that her situation was clearly not the worst one on the list. Still severe enough to be named separately of course. But not something like seeing her without her disguise serious. "I do apologize. Sometimes ideas are good, and sometimes they are bad. I am not an exception." For now though, it just worked as a good example for the fact, that he could take some critique.
...In the case of her accepting that 'some things just happen', Mosa wasn't sure. Her body language was very tired. It was clear this stuff had been in her mind for a long time too. Just her considering the fact, that she wanted to be a hero just to learn her quirk better, made Mosa rub his chin. It didn't help the matters of telling her parents about the situation. "Would it help if you told them that you are under the schools protection?" He offered his hand towards her askingly. "After all, this is pretty much the safest place in this city I would say. And I can guarantee you, nobody is as protected as you students are." Even he as a civilian with governments permission to work in U.A didn't have nearly as much protection. They were indeed the future.
"Whatever the case... this is just one of those things we have to sometimes deal with. Sometimes, you walk through the cafeteria normally, and sometimes, you slip on some food on the ground and dirty your clothes." He proceeded to write in his book once again. "The important thing is to just accept it as a mistake, stand up, and move on from it. If it comes to haunt you, then it will come, and you will handle it then. And if it doesn't, in this case, even better." However, most importantly, mosa felt the need to clarify something. "What you need to understand, is that it is not your fault, that she put you on her hit list. It was their own decision." Of course, hit list discussion was very different from a huge argument ending in somebody chastising a person way worse than expected, but it did somewhat fit the bill. "They wouldn't be a villain, if they didn't want to sound intimidating."
In the case of her parents... "If you want, we can call them right now. I can help you along." An offer. "Now of course, today, you have already done a lot. You don't need to do this right now. But if you want, I am here to listen to how they react." Of course, he also had other offers on hand. "Alternatively, you try and do this with somebody else, that you trust. Or I can come with you to visit your parents and talk it out that way." However, with all that said, he crossed his legs. "This is of course only one solution to it. You are a strong girl. And I believe you can make this conversation happen. If you can't do it alone, but want to do it... I am right here."
Yumi had made a lot of progress today in multiple things. If she didn't want to do it now, there would be no blame. It was all up to her.

Yumi felt she’d been a bit snappy, even with her lower energy she could feel she was a bit tense about all this so when Mosa apologized to her she dipped her head back in turn. “I’m sorry too I… I get what your trying to say it’s just… a tense thing ya know?” She offered, eyes drifting across the floor again after the briefest slither of eye contact with her apology.
Yumi curled her lips inwards a bit when Mosa tried to point out she was under the school’s protection. She didn’t want to be rude again but at the same time… UA had it’s food and water drugged, it had been attacked or caught up in criminal activities multiple times, one of it’s teachers was killed and of their teachers there was a constant turnover so there was no real consistency in the staff which in her brain meant they couldn’t really be called reliable a lot of the time par a select few who’d always been there… but she kept her lips shut on that. She knew the message he was trying to get across, her paranoia was just racing on this one. “It could but… I’m not sure.” She simply stated, not wanting to be rude and sit in silence about it.
The next idea though was a bit more hopeful but also oddly more nerve wracking. Telling her parents she was on a practical hitlist was… bad already, and while she did appreciate the idea of Mosa helping her through that she had to wonder if that would seem worse somehow… n-no. No. She was just being paranoid. There was the idea that some official of the school being with her could make it seem more dire but he’d just be helping her communicate something that would be the same either way…
“I… I don’t think I’m quite ready to do it now but I do genuinely appreciate the offer… m-maybe I could go away and think about it. See if I can tell them myself and… if not I’ll come and arrange some time with you to help me through it?” She looked over with a mildly hopeful look in her eyes. She already knew the answer would effectively be yes but it felt better to have that confirmation in her hand, so to speak.

In the end, it seemed like Mosa wasn't exactly making much progress on this topic. In the end, most he could do was offer things that could give her comfort. Something to take her mind off the paranoia. But in the end, most of her answers consisted of 'yes, but...' His opinion however still stood: The girl would eventually need to tell somebody about this. Get part of the problem off of her shoulders, and actually discuss it. Of course, he had already given her plenty of that. But taking how strong her opinion was about telling about it to her parents in particular, it did feel like a necessity to take that step at some point.
Sadly his offer to help her do it right now was not to her liking. In the end, he couldn't force her to do anything. The effect would be completely different if it was him doing it for her. "I think that sounds like a good idea." But, whatever the case, they had gotten a lot done othervise. The girl even said, that she herself would try to do it, and if not successful, would contact him separately about it. It felt like a good compromise. With her smile, it was clear that she atleast held a little bit of determination to actually get it done. He made a final note into his notebook, and then audibly snapped it closed in his hand.
"I would say, that's enough for today. You have a little bit of homework in this of course, but how you handle it, is up to you. If you feel like it, we can even continue this discussion then too." He stood up and walked over to his desk, pulling out his calendar. "Of course, I would recommend, that you genuinely take your own time to think about them. But progressvise, I would say, that we are plenty past halfway point now." There it was again, assurance of progress. Taking that both of these issues were now at the stage of her just needing to take her own steps towards them, Mosa had no worries in case of her being able to do it. "Like you said, we can meet othervise too... but for now, how would you like if we put our next meeting on...?"
Said meetings time came quite quickly from his perspective. With a lot of work coming from schools starting properly again, Mosa was pretty quickly swept into all the other things that came from it. All new clients, all new people to teach, and in the end, a lot more paper work to file. However, as soon as he picked up Yumis file again, that curiosity got a little bit more interesting again.
The third topic that they were going to handle today, was about her boyfriend. Admittedly, he hadn't specifically pointed it out to her back then, but he had shown it to her in his picture about the topics they wanted to handle. He hadn't exactly done that big research on him. Only thing he knew, was that he had been a very peculiar individual. Seemed to spend a lot of time inside his head. Something Mosa usually did too. However, for their relationship, he didn't really have any good reference for what was happening with them. In the end, he had come to the conclusion, that it was probably just better if he asked Yumi about it himself when the meeting would come, and go from there. In the end, that's what his job was about: working with people themselves, instead of coming to your own forced conclusions about what would need to be done.
As she would enter, Mosa would immediately stand up with his notebook in hand, as he would proceed to offer her a hand to shake. "Welcome back. I hope the day hasn't been too busy othervise." Some people liked to come to therapy for a little bit of just lax time where they didn't need to do much else but talk. In the school of course, that was a little bit rarer. "As usual, take whatever seat you would like, and we can begin from there."
After they had sat down, Mosa would open the notebook onto the page, where the 'pizza' stood. It still had only one piece of it crossed out, but this was the day to discuss, if they could cross it out proper today. "Now, I suppose we could start with a little bit of a mix of the classic question today..." Of course, it was going to be quite loaded, since they were catching up. "How do you feel like you have progressed on the problems we talked about last week? Were you able to contact your parents about your situation?" Straight and to the point. Of course he tried to say it in a way, that didn't seem too accusatory. This was after all pretty much just a progress report. "And more importantly... how are you feeling about the next topic we are taking on? Do you feel ready to discuss that one?" This was gonna be especially personal after all.

Yumi left the session feeling… not good. But better. Better was good enough right now. She didn’t feel bad, she was… see sawing on opposite ends of ‘neutral’, but even just weighing in about the middle of the scale was good enough for her right now and she felt like she could breathe easier the rest of that day. She made sure to make arrangements for the next meeting before she left and thanked Mosa doubly so for taking his time up. She knew it was his job but she still felt like she was putting him out when, to her paranoia, a lot of her issues could come out as petty or the kind of things a woman like RedHorn might tell her to ‘power through’ or something so… yeah. She was appreciative.
As that week went on some problems would be… ‘resolved’, in some sense. An incident with her boyfriend pretty much ticked that item off the list while… also putting a lot more guilt on her shoulders with how it was handled, feeling a twitch in her forehead between her eyebrows whenever she thought about it for too long like she was about to go into a stress headache over it. The issue with her parents knowing about the hitlist was resolved a lot more fluidly though… it was a hectic conversation, her mother was a little bit ‘exciteable’ about it, making sure she was okay, offering to get her room for her at home if she needed time away from campus or needed them to keep an eye on her… an offer Yumi took up for a few days while she found a new place to live, but generally she tried to put them at ease, letting them know she and the other UA kids could do well handling themselves. What else had they been training for afterall?
Her dad apparently already knew, he was a little more tuned into the news than her mom but… she knew he’d worry too much. Heh. Being on a hit list. Worrying TOO much about that? God… it made her chuckle how her mom was ALL energy and her dad was ALL chill. It really didn’t make sense but… she was glad he’d been keeping up to date on things. He could fill her mom in where she didn’t have the energy to.
She’d have more time with them over the next few days anyway… maybe get them to help her find a balance with things too.
She’d still attend her meeting with Mosa, coming in with a bit of a lighter uniform, feeling a bit more comfortable and less ‘strict’ with herself to be able to enjoy the summer breeze a bit more. She waved as he stood up from his desk and offered her a seat…
“…Could I… sit on the desk?”
She didn’t know why she asked but… hey she skipped on the chance to take advantage of that ‘sit anywhere’ offer last time so why not enjoy it now? Assuming he was okay with that she’d shift to the opposite side of Mosa’s desk than the one he’d usually sit at, sliding herself up onto it careful not to knock anything… she’d probably move soon enough but her silly bone was having a giggle at the fact she let herself do this, showing outwardly as little more than an oddly proud smile.
(of course if he said no she’d just as happily brush it off with a chuckle and sit on a chair like last time <3)
Swinging her legs just a little wherever she sat, she’d tip her head to the side, a little more at ease with meeting Mosa than last time but still careful enough to think about her words. “I talked to my parents… turns out my Dad already knew but he didn’t want him to think they were freaking out about it. Mom didn’t know cause… well she DOES freak out a bit sometimes, in a nice way… they invited me to live with them for a bit and I need to find a new place anyway so that’s… nice. Gives me a chance to catch up while I figure some things out. I also have a meeting with Sonya to adjust the terms of my sponsorship which might help balance things out a bit. So… yeah. That’s good…” She trailed off, just letting her thoughts drift till she realized she’d gone silent and snapped back to reality a bit.
“S-sorry that’s er… most of it all…” She said, forgetting her boyfriend issues had been part of her rambles the last time they met. “W-what was the next thing we said we’d discuss?” She’d ask a little nervously, genuinely feeling her memory was failing her a little on this one. Later she might admit to herself a part of her knew but just wasn’t too eager…
(felt fitting to keep things ‘present’ to have her breakup occur between meetings)

Honestly, the moment Yumi had entered the room after such a long break, Mosa was quite stunned. There was this certain bounciness and relaxed feeling to her looks. Compared to the last time, when she had been afraid of doing anything wrong or too rash, Now she was like a bunny from those battery commercials. It was certainly quite a big positive change in manners. Although, it seemed like she was still a little bit awkward about asking for things... Though Mosa wasn't sure if it was cause of the topic more than her actual mental state. Yumi could probably see the slightest eyebrow raises, and the tiniest of smirks emerge on his lips. "Ah, feel free if you want to. It is sturdy, so there shouldn't be any problems."
Overall, it felt like the person in front of them was 'the usual' Yumi. The outward model, seemingly excited about a lot of things. Just seeing her dangle her legs gave that childishly energetic impression. Besides, he had always thought, that the person should be at their most comfortable when talked to. And if they wanted to sit there, then they could. Mosa himself proceeded to rub his jaw for a moment, before he went and picked up the wooden chair next to the bookcase and carried it in a position, that was almost like he was the student being talked to by a teacher. He sat down, pulled out his notebook, and fixed his glasses. "Now, where were we...?"
His first question was clearly answered very quickly. The girl had been successful, as Mosa gave a satisfied Nod, before crossing over the slice involving that issue. "I am very happy to hear that. How does it feel to know, that your parents are alright with it? Did you feel relieved?" Admittedly, he was a little bit surprised to hear she was moving... "Well, like I said, that is what your parents are there for: To help you when you are in need." He proceeded to write it in his notebook too with a question mark... Was it cause of the price on her head? Was she trying to avoid them knowing where she lived? He fixed his glasses again. There he went thinking too deep on it. Perhaps he could just ask about it later.
It also seemed like she had been working towards getting her priorities in order. And in a pretty big way too, contacting her boss and everything. "Very responsible for someone your age indeed." Quite a few teenagers would be alright with just working their time, but taking action to change things, so you could do things how you liked them to be was quite impressive development. "What are you going to be discussing? Less worktime or something else?" Less worktime would make sense, since it would give her a whole lot more to work with for her own things. And the more time you had, the more freely you could spend it, naturally.
However, when he was about to get to the main topic of the day... The girl seemed outright confused. Honestly, it made Mosa feel almost a little bit bad for the fact, that he would maybe need to remind her of it, with her so energetic and happy othervise. But on the other hand, he did need to see what the situation for it was... It was pretty big deal last time after all. "Well, since you've clearly made wonderful progress on everything else..." He once again showed the pizza, and proceeded to tap last slice with the coal of his pen. "I was thinking we would talk about your boyfriend this time. It felt like a little bit too heavy of a topic back when we handled the others, so now that there is nothing else, I thought that it would allow you to work on it without stressing you out too much." He briefly looked at his notes for it... "This person named... Red. I assume. You said that he was outright manipulative sometimes? Seemed quite serious at the time." He leaned a bit on the chair... it certainly wasn't as comfortable as the armchairs, and with his legs, he was a tiny bit worried he would fall if he leaned too hard on it. But moving one of the armchairs was gonna be a pain and a half.

Yumi giggled a little as Mosa pulled up that chair infront of her, it was definitely a bit of a dynamic shift and while it may not be a permanent seat she took it at least helped her giggle and keep a positive spin on her day. She knew they might get into some heftier topics again today so it was good to try and keep a smile on as long as felt natural, and just remind herself she didn't have to force it if things needed to change going forward.
Asked about her parents she tipped her head in thought for a quiet moment. "I... I dunno. I weirdly expected more but I also weirdly expected less? I guess I never woulda really been able to predict how they'd react... I can tell my mom knows I'm able to handle and protect myself thanks to my quirk and my Dad just... well he isn't worried in the slightest, buuuut I also know that my mom still probably just... needs me around for a while. Needs to make sure I'm okay on her terms and all... its nice. I mean..." She sighed and chuckled. "I dunno. I always know they care about me but in a moment like this it's nice to see it re-affirmed too. Even my Dad who's super chill even about a damn hit list-" She burst into brief giggles and shook her head with a bright smile. "Even he's hugging me a little tighter when I'm around... its nice and... yeah. I'm glad they know."
She smirked a little and added. "Sorry, I think if I keep going on about that I'll just be going in a positive, rambly circle ya know?~"
Her smile remained at the positive compliments about the efforts she was making with her career, just nodding silently along, pretty happy with herself on that too. She was managing to find more of a balance and she'd been looking into seeing if she could take her teaching exam a little earlier in the year just to tick it off her list. It'd be a challenge but she felt she could handle it, and it'd help her get more free time until she graduated to balance her other two lines of work. "Oh er, well yeah kinda. I'll be given more of a responsible role in Asta in exchange for like, not needing to physically be as present? It's like er..." She tried to think of how to put it. "I don't wanna go into the nitty gritty but it's like... okay I don't do many advertisements but its like, instead of filming 10 2 minute commericials a week i'd be filming 5 4 minute commercials? Again it's not that but you get the idea right? More effort but in shorter bursts so i ultimately have more free time to fit everything else in. Plus she's gonna be helping with some financial support once I try and find my own place again. She's honestly way more supportive than I ever expected..."
She should probably be suspicious of such intense generosity. She should be, but she wasn't.
With Red brought up though...
Yumi turned silent. Her lips parted a few times, sometimes shifting, like she needed to be in the perfect pose to bring this up or something but... she couldn't quite get the words out. She firmly dug her fingers into the back of her neck, feeling her nails a little harshly as she tried to just... force the words out, eventually letting out a deep sigh through her nose as she just-
"We broke up..." She leaned back on her hands, hanging her head. Yeah that was... that was still a mess.

The girls giggles soon changed into curious nods of her head. Admittedly, Mosa had sort of expected this. There was always a little bit of confusion talking about feelings that have sort of passed. Overall however, it was clear the girl was positively surprised by it. Of course, her mother being very protective of her wasn't that surprising. Just hearing her talk about how good she felt, and how tightly her parents hugged her was nice change of pace. It was almost silly for the girl to stop cause she was worried about just going on and on about how happy she was about it. "No need to worry about that. In the end, whatever you say matters. Although I do admit, the image you are giving here is quite clear." There definitely wasn't any huge, clear fear in her about the situation anymore. And especially not towards her parents.
Mosa nodded along, as Yumi got a little bit more in detail what she did at Asta. The time changes made sense. It was in theory the same amount of work, but in more compact form. "I can imagine it being easier to need to be there a fewer times for a little longer." Taking that the girl was into cosplay, he did have to ask something specifically. "Are these sessions more about you being the model, or you making the clothes for the models? Since you mentioned you don't need to be there as much?" More of a clarification question than something else. Of course, her mentioning, that her boss was outright ready to offer monetary aid for her had him a little bit curious. Not exactly something a big corporation did for their workers... For now however, he just made a note about it in his notebook. 'Very helpful boss'.
However, when they got to the main question of the day, Yumi was clearly hesitating to answer. He let her come up with the words of how to initiate this herself, since like in the previous topics, it was in the end her opinion that mattered the most. However, the words she chose well...
"Oh."
They took him by surprise at the least. So much so, that he needed to fix his glasses a little. Admittedly, he had probably expected her to tell her about something like this if it came up, but well... he understood why she wouldn't want to talk about it immediately after. If the situation was so bad, that it would lead into that, there was not much to say about it. "Hmmm... that does change the plans a little bit." He lifted his notebook, looking at the remaining spot. He tossed a line over 'boyfriend', but proceeded to write something else on it. "Since they are not a part of your life anymore, I suppose a better way to call this would be 'the aftermath'." His hand went over to his chin. Not exactly the best name, but he had to improvise. "Of course, if you don't want to talk about this right now, we can just make this an overall situation check instead. If this is still too fresh in your mind, I do not want to force you." He didn't exactly know how deep the 'wounds' left behind were after all. But whatever the case, the topic should be approached gently. And since he hadn't known this before hand, he would need to get to it from semi clean table...
If she didn't disapprove, he would continue. "I suppose the primary question would be, what made it happen?" A pretty simple question. "Would you say there was some specific trigger, or did something 'break the camels back', so to say?" With how she had mentioned him before, their relationship hadn't exactly been the most stable even back then, so he felt he could allow himself to assume that. "Was it something that had been an issue for a long time already?" For now he was avoiding directly pointing her towards the moment of the break-up. It felt like a little bit too swift of a change in mood. So, he allowed her to decide the pace instead, depending on what she herself was ready to share.

She felt a little more at ease with Mosa when he kept giving her those assurances. With other people when she apologized or put her foot in her mouth and they said ‘don’t worry’ or ‘don’t apologize’ it always felt vaguely uncomfortable? Mosa however seemed to have this way of wording himself that made her feel like her over apologizing genuinely wasn’t a bother but she still had the right to do it if it helped her feel comfortable, it was nice.
With the Asta stuff in his interpretation of it she raised a finger, not meaning to interrupt him but she felt she’d explained wrong. “W-well kinda its more… the time analogy wasn’t the best. I guess it’s more er… I’m doing more work in shorter times? I mean not necessarily MORE work, but more valuable work. Like er… we havn’t ironed out the plans yet but Miss Sonya’s talking about seeing if I’d do well getting into some advertisements for Asta products? I mean I already advertise them as a model, but doing a full blown TV ad is more ‘valuable’, so I’m doing more, higher scale work like that with her and overall working less hours while still earning the same… is that better?” She felt like that was a better, more clear way of saying it. She didn’t feel confident in mentioning the exact plans cause she and her boss were still working out the finer details but… she felt fairly confident that was the way things would go.
She raised her brow at the question of her modelling. “Oh er… I don’t think I have a great eye for fashion. I know how to make cosplays cause I basically have a template to work from or an image to try and achieve through some clever ingenuity with fabrics. I can’t design my own clothes though so… ehehe, yeah, I just do the modelling with Asta. If that clears things up.~”
Back to the sour times though… yeah that ‘oh’ pretty much summed it all up, though she shook her head with a tense exhale as he offered they leave the topic be. “No no I… I’d appreciate talking about it? I’m… not all that sure what I’ll even say but… I feel I need to at least let SOMETHING out even if I’m not quite sure what it is yet…” She chuckled as her brain came up with a dumbass metaphor. “I’m like that toy-pod in a kinder egg… I know there’s something in there I just gotta apply the pressure and get it out.” She chuckled a little more… god that was a dumb way to put it.
At his primary question, a fair one at that, she took a deep, slow breath and leaned her chin down onto her hands, balancing her elbows on her knees. “… I set aside the time to… well for lack of a better word to argue with him. I wanted to get all the tension out, all the issues, see what would happen, see if he could explain it, see if he’d apologize… and… “ She sighed through her nose. “Well, he ended up just… breaking down. He was yelling back at me at first, and then suddenly he just… shattered. Fell to the ground, started talking nonsense. He pulled away from me, curled up into a ball and hyperventilated till he passed out and…” She laughed at herself a little as she vaguely gestured with a free hand just to try and… physically visualize the flow of her thoughts coming to a tension filled halt.
“I think I just… snapped. N-not at him mind just… I wasn’t equipped for that. He’d been having a lot of other issues but the first time I try and talk to him about that he breaks down and I… I made sure he was okay, made sure an ambulance picked him up but.. I was done at that point. I don’t wanna be with someone who has to suffer a mental breakdown the first time he’s confronted. It made me feel like the only reason I’d have been staying with him is pity and I didn’t want that… but I also don’t want this rock of guilt about it sitting in my stomache either…”

Quick re-explanation of her job description later, Mosa rubbed his chin again in thought. "Saying it that way, it outright sounds like a proper promotion." However, she had gotten her main point across. Her situation overall was much easier at her workplace, partially due to her boss. "Admittedly, anybody would be a little bit excited to hear what Asta is cooking in their company, but this is not about them." A minor chuckle escaped him. There was not much else to talk about in that regard. In the case of the modeling, for now, she was just the model, and not the outfitter. Yet another question answered.
However, back in the real meat of things... Mosa was happy to hear she had clearly taken a little bit of his words to mind. Her describing it as 'getting SOMETHING out'. It certainly showed a bit of development in how she thought about these issues. That and her metaphor was quite clever. "You could say we have now eaten the chocolate, and popped open the container inside... But now, we have to put the toy together, so we can play with it." He actually wrote it in his notebook. A very interesting way to look at the steps of it all. He even drew some small pictures. "Ah, sorry... i got a little bit too into it." He fixed the position of his glasses once again, as they finally seemed to get a little bit more serious look at the problem again.
And then, she opened up about the break up. According to her, she had made sure they had a moment alone to discuss things, but instead of it becoming one, Red had turned against her, and outright broken down. It certainly sounded very serious when put like that. However, the way she was telling it, it was noticeable, that she wasn't exactly sure how to react to it now. She was sort of chuckling, yet there was an awkward tone to it as she tried to show it with her hands. Apparently the boy had passed out, instead of facing the problem. In the end, according to her, she had made sure he was fine on his own, and then had left the premises. It was quite a detailed explanation compared to some others where there were just glimpses of it.
"Hmmm..." He thought for a little moment, before opening his mouth again. This was a point in conversation where blame could very easily go to one party or the other. And Mosa wasn't sure if she was the sort of type that was feeling more bad about the break-up, or relieved. He needed a little bit more information, before he could go and make a proper suggestion. However, he did feel like he could say something. "I will say, that we all have our own way to react to adversity or our views being challenged. The way Red did so didn't exactly seem like the healthiest one... but I doubt it was just you bringing up the issues doing that." Of course, it might have been a panic attack of sorts. Like he had said, the boy seemed like they had a lot on their mind. "The way you went about it was quite healthy in my opinion. You didn't bring anybody else into it, and did make sure he was alright afterwards after all. Overall, quite a regular conversation."
However, this was the thing that lead into the follow-up questions. "What I would like to know is this: Had something like this happened before? It can be something similar, doesn't need to be outright fainting." Had he before mumbled to himself? Had there been similar angry shouts towards her? "And also, maybe a question on a bit specific side... What makes you feel guilty over the fact that you left him at this point?" He tapped his fingers thoughtfully against his knee. "Is it just the fact, that you didn't want to be with him, because you pitied them? Or is there something else there?" He lifted his hand, offering the turn to speak to her. Of course, she had left him at a quite vulnerable time, so it wasn't that surprising she would feel a bit guilty about it.

Heh... she supposed it was a bit of a promotion in it's own way. Once she graduated she may have to put more time in with Asta to uphold her end of the bargain they'd made around this but it was definitely something she'd just have to think on and consider as time went on. Afteral Sonya was very understanding and didn't lock her into any time spanning contracts. She was sure they'd be able to come to some arrangement if it was something she could only handle as a student. All the same though it was just... nice to think about it like a promotion like Mosa had said, but he was right, now maybe wasn't the time, just giving a firm nod and a warm smile.
Despite her nerves going forward, Mosa toying with her metaphor certainly helped. First session was unwrapping it, talking to her parents and sonya was eating the chocolate, getting the Red thing out was popping open the capsule and now she just had to... piece her thoughts together so that she could actually move forward without that idea nagging at the back of her head. She gave a chuckling nod along to his words... she felt like she shoulda came to Mosa much sooner. He may have been paid to do it but it was super helpful and he was just generally someone she found very pleasant to talk to, always seeming like he took something seriously but wasn't afraid to lighten a mood.
She scoffed a little though when he tried to label it as a 'regular conversation', shaking her head but not feeling like that was something worth making an argument over or anything. She hugged her knees to her chest on the desk for a moment, her chin laying atop her knees (carefuly enough to keep her legs together as she did so for obvious enough reasons). "With him? Er... he'd apparently had a history of blackouts but he always brushed it off so readily no matter how much we insisted it was weird and he should get someone to REALLY check him out..." She sighed softly. "I dunno though I just... I can't... " She dipped her head down against her knees again, struggling to get the words out.
"... I don't do well when i can't help someone. Red seemed like he was getting more... paranoid, secretive, avoiding issues or just... telling me what to do to make HIM feel more sound and make him feel like I was safe and... my previous boyfriend Yusaku always had depression issues. For both of them I just feel... sick, almost, when I can't help someone. I know depression isn't something thats every easily fixed and Red genuinely seemed to have... brain damage? Something like that at least but... I couldn't stick through it... I couldn't stick through it with either of them and I guess now I'm just..." She lifted her eyes off her knees but looked to the floor.
"I feel super guilty, like I shoulda stuck it out, I shoulda held to it... and I'm thinking maybe this is it. Maybe I just stick with people for the good times and the moment it gets hard I just... quit. Cause I can't handle the fact I can't find solutions to crap like this..."
There were other factors, Red had been making her uncomfortable, made her feel like she didn't really factor into his view of them as a couple, like she was just... a part of his world, not an active participant in it but now she just felt ridden with guilt. Like she was the problem for not being able to... hold out through the storm.

Hmmm... perhaps he should have been more clear about the fact, that it had been her trying to make it a regular conversation instead of it being one. However, it was clear, that the topic was bringing the mood down for her, as she took a very familiar position. but this time there was no cushiness of the armchair to lean into. It was almost like she was trying to make herself smaller. And in accordance, her meeker way of speaking also returned as she started answering his questions. It was clear, this was not comfortable. But they themselves had wanted to get all of these things out. And Mosa was there to make sure she could go through all of it.
According to her, it was not exactly a new thing. The boy had blacked out countless times before, and apparently, she had tried to tell him to go to a hospital about it. Get someone to talk to him about it. Mosa felt a familiar feeling to before, with some other students he had heard about. People who just couldn't admit, that they needed help. Whether pride or something else. Fear of things becoming worse, perhaps? Them being afraid of talking to people overall? But, when Yumi said this was a very familiar feeling to her, wanting to help people... It was not exactly a surprise. Even if she had joined just to learn how to use her powers, the girl clearly had something else pulling her into the profession.
Apparently, red had wanted her to make him feel more calm and sane... and of course, her wanting to help, it was easy to tell her so. It didn't help that apparently her other partner had similar depressive issues. And the fact that they kept repeating, it was very understandable why she was feeling this way. And in the end, both times, she had been the one to leave. And that seemed to be the greatest catalyst as to why she was feeling guilty right now. The fact that she had left two seemingly depressed people, who in her eyes needed her, behind... And the fact that she wasn't able to help them, was the reason she had left in the first place. And now she felt like she should have stuck around. It was a harsh feeling to be certain. Of course, some of this was Mosa just making his own connections... and speaking of connections, he looked at the prior picture of the previous issues...
"From what I remember about the previous topics, as well as this one, it's that you want to do a lot of things yourself." He spoke calmly, in small steps. He didn't want to pressure her more so, than she was doing to herself. "A lot of these things are something, where you wouldn't need to necessarily give your all for all the steps, yet you do. Because you want to clearly give your best and nothing less to people." It was almost like he was explaining their meetings to her slowly. "And that often comes at the cost of your own time. Your own mental resources, your own self." He tapped his notebook with his pencil. "And, for my next question, I want you to answer it, with utmost detail, that you can give. Tell me every single thing in your mind about the topic. Are you ready?" Once he was certain she was ready to go forward, he would lift his hand, offer it towards her and ask:
"What have you been doing after the break-up? Where have you gone? What have you gotten done? What sort of people have you met?"
Compared to everything else he had ask before now, and this timing... the questions might have felt extremely out of place. They were the sort of questions that you would perhaps ask as a nice cooling down question after everything was properly handled. But instead, he had asked it now. And let her tell him exactly her thoughts on it. After she felt like she was done with whatever she had wanted to say, Mosa would nod... "Now then..."
"How many of those things would you have been comfortably able to do with him around?"
The picture was perhaps becoming a little bit clearer now. Mosa once again sat there, waiting for her opinion on his question.
He always loved asking questions. Because each persons answer was always unique.

Yumi slowly lowered one of her knees from her arms, still hugging one, resting her cheek on it as she quietly thought along with mosa's words, the other danging back off the edge of the desk as her amber gaze vaguely looked off into the distance, her free leg swinging against the edge of the desk beneath her, trying not to clip her heal against the would too heavily. She glanced back to Mosa as he seemed to have something prepared for her, lifting her cheek off her knee and offering him her full attention for the moment, a stray hand rubbing at her eye which has gotten a bit watery as she just sat with the self given guilt of the situations she'd been pulling through.
"What have I done? Er... w-well..." It wasn't a perfect timeline of events but... since she'd committed to having that argument at least, since she'd committed to the possibility that they could break up if things didn't go well... "I made a new friend on a day out, we went to the arcades. Tried out that new cafe brand. Labelles? The er... nice little french themed ones? A-anyway-" She knew she had to go into detail but she didn't wanna get bogged down in the really useless details. "Me and that girl got kinda close but I'm making sure I don't hurt anyone just by rebounding or something... s-she's really nice and.. I-I don't wanna do what I did to Red to her and..."
She ruffled her hair, trying to just... mentally cut that train of thought and take a deep breath. "I'm spending more time with my parents like I said. I feel like my studies are getting a little more focused, I'm getting that er... kinda, sorta, not really promotion at work-" Okay it was totally a promotion but she didn't feel like being egotistical about it or anything. "I actually am spending more personal time with Sonya too and she's really nice to make friends with. She's... god she's just not what you'd expect-" She let out chuckling. "For the summer break I'm trying to organize this little weekend vacation trip for the school it's... hehehe.. shit-" She covered her mouth at the curse word, biting her lip with an embaressed blush before continuing. "I-I mean... I'm kinda realizing just how much I'm doing now and... I'm surprised it's not all feeling stressful like it was last time we met..."
Buuut... then came Mosa's next question and... the energy Yumi had for a moment slowly started to shut down. She looked like she was about to give an answer but... as she realized how simple, how short an answer it was...
She hooked her other knee back up, hugging both of them again and just turning silent...
If she'd spent time with her parents Red likely would have thought she was avoiding him.
He had that weird conspiracy about Asta.
He could be a bit of a lone wolf, he wouldn't have enjoyed the vacation and...
She never would have felt as comfortable as she did around Kai if she was still with Red...
Why did realizing that just make her feel MORE guilty... she hadn't 'rebounded' but... she'd left that relationship and just fucking ran with it... she didn't even mourne the relationship or anything she just picked herself up and kept moving without hesitation and that... fuck that made her feel like a terrible person. She... she could tell herself it shouldn't but her brow furrowed as her thoughts silently burned into her forehead. Was she distracting herself? Had she really recovered THAT fast from a breakup? Which was worse...

Now admittedly, the question about what she had done after the break-up wasn't there just for the build up. He was actually interested in that too. The first thing she brought up was, that she had seemingly found somebody else. A nice girl... she didn't exactly go to the details about her name or something, but seemingly she had had a pretty good time. Although, it felt a little bit like she was apologetic about it? that or she felt the need to explain it so the thoughts didn't go in a weird direction. He wrote it down in his notebook. However, as she kept going, She started recalling all these good things. Things that she had gotten done, most of them having been huge problems before. And for a moment he was hopeful, that his minor epiphany would have worked.
...But when he moved to the second question, the mood changed again, surprising him. The girl visibly hesitated saying something. For a little while, there was this little bit awkward silence, as Mosa looked at her, patiently waiting for her answer. However, eventually he felt like she was taking a surprising amount of time doing so. His pencil once again danced on the paper... although, despite the positive words coming out of his mouth, the things he was writing were quite negative. She seemed to be almost stuck in a rut. Like she couldn't come up with a way to properly say something, without ending up in trouble.
Now, the original hook, maybe the idea he had thought would calm her mind once again, was the fact, that that one little decision, had overall changed her life for the better. And of course, that there was nothing inherently bad about thinking something is better for yourself. However, Mosa had his assumptions about what she was worried about: The NEW girl. The way she had talked about her was almost regretful, scared to even admit how they enjoyed their company. However, he himself wasn't sure why this was. And thinking about it... only she could come up with the answer really.
So, Mosa looked towards her, trying to get some sort of calming eye contact. Some sort of reassurance, that she was still in a safe space, where saying something problematic was only the first step to healing. And so, like a parent noticing distress in a child, he proceeded to just ask a simple question:
"Is everything alright? Was something in the question problematic for you?" As he had said before, if she wanted to back out from a question she was allowed to. However, he gave one more reassurance. "If you want to ask anything, I am here. But if you want to think about it for longer, you have all the time you need." The conversation uptill this point had gone quite swiftly, so there was plenty of time to go over this. In the end, the conversation consisted of just him in the chair, her on the table... and the words they were exchanging.
