"Relax. Relax. Relax. Breathe. Breathe. Your just going over for a friendly chat. Nothing serious. Things aren't moving fast, you've barely met the guy."
A sort of mantra Amare has been saying to himself all day. Through classes and gym, literacy and even history Amare could not get his mind off of the plans he and Colt had made earlier that week. He tried to ignore it and push it off as just another hang out session with a friend, but as the day got closer he could feel a sort of anticipation growing in his chest. But what was he excited for? He had always thought Colt was a cool guy the way he interacted with others in the hallway was normal and typical. Nothing really remarkable about the way he walked or the way he talked. Despite this the confession in his journal told Amare that there was something else about this otherwise unremarkable student that caught him attention and often put him in strange moods.
Daydreams were probably the worst of it. Sometimes it was Colt sometimes it was others but whenever they happened Amare would always find that his ears would be warm to the touch. If questioned he would always deflect it to something else, the sun, him being warm-blooded(like that meant anything) but to Amare's judgement each excuse had done its purpose. Taking sometime to take some shots outside with the sun, Amare hoped that this time alone would help him take his mind off of the appointment. They were friends meeting up to talk about business. Specifically suits. Specifically their hero outfits, specifically Amare's hero outfit. He had met with a few of the support students and none of their ideas he liked. Part of it he felt was that he was being picky or difficult criticizing colour, fabric texture and even design at times to the point that a few refused to continue working with him. Although was that really his fault? He was the one who would have to wear it into battle, and if he was not confident in what he was wearing how could he focus on his heroic duties?
The pictures came out lame. Some were even out of focus. Amateur at best and none of his best work as Amare trudged back towards the school dorms. It was getting close to the time they had agreed on and he knew that he should not be late. Get in, do it, get the measurements and get out. Be polite be confident just... Amare would shake his head. He was already all those things, so why was he trying to give himself a pep talk? His mind slowly drifting to the "journal" incident and Beaumont a weight suddenly seemed to prop itself onto Amare's shoulders. School rumors were just that, rumors but the way Beaumont had acted made it seem as though what Amare had written caused him trouble. Enough trouble that he had quickly went from his normal spacy and nervous self to cold a distant. He had not thought to talk to Beaumont about it because if he did, Amare knew he would have to reveal quite a bit about himself to the blond teenager.
Arriving outside of Colt's dorm door, Amare would pause a second before lifting his hand to knock. The fingers would curl into a fist and then uncurl...Maybe he should just go. Now's not a good time and all that despite them agreeing on this earlier. What if he was busy, what if Beaumont was already inside? What if Colt wasn't even inside his dorm and forgot? Seemingly frozen in front of the fellow students door, a passerby would bump into Amare as they passed forcing his fist to the door causing it to 'hit' the door moreso than 'knock' it.

Today was a typical day for Colt-albeit Montyless. Which Colt found odd for the blond often goes out of his way previously to near him and talk to him- but when he said he's bringing Amare to their shared dorm room for a fitting of a new Hero costume, Monty went quiet and said he give them space. Colt was confused by that wording, but Colt was okay with that a fitting can be rather intimate and personal, and Amare might not be okay with a third party involved.
So after that quick exchange between Monty and himself, Colt spent all of his free time in classes sketching out possible outfits for Amare to show him. Colt was admittedly a more flashy and showy costume designer but with Amare's sense of fashion that might fit him personally than a traditional hero costume. Amare's darker complexion and lighter hair suggested a bright-colored hero costume to complement both elements of his striking appearance and something that brings out his eyes as well. Colt sketched and sketched all day during classes. He even got called out a few times, but after a while, Colt returned to the dorms happy with six possible hero costumes sketches, Colt hopes he likes one of them out of the list.
Colt prepared the fitting and possibly the start of the costume making process by getting Amare's judgment on fabrics their texture, weight, and airiness and everything! All of this was all so exciting, and Colt couldn't help but hum a little tune to himself as he cleared out the room and organized his measurement tools and his fabrics for Amare to judge and compare. Colt might not be the best designer yet at U.A., but he takes the comfort and aesthetic of his patrons seriously. Colt took his future job as a heroic fashion designer very seriously.
As Colt finished up clearing the dorm for the measurements, Colt heard a knocking at the door, and he excitedly skipped over to the door and opened it to reveal his first client and friend. Colt brightly smiles as he moves in closer to give him a traditional French greeting of pulling Amare close to himself and give him a cheek kiss and a half hug as he pulls back he smiles brightly again at Amare. "Amare! Glad you could make it! Come in, come in!" Colt says as he practically drags Amare into his dorm room by the hand.
Colt drags Amare to his bed and gently sat him down and grabs one of Amare's hand with both of his. "I am so happy you chose me to create your hero costume, I will make you the happiest man ever with my work and effort, I promise you that Amare!" Colt excitedly said as let goes of Amare's hand as he walks over to get his sketchbook out of his school bag as he does so, he asks, "So Amare, do you have any request for what your hero costume should be like---where the heck is it?" Colt says as he kept digging deeper into his bag, struggling to find his sketchbook.

The speed at which the door opened would go caught the teen off guard as the practically glowing faced boy appeared and basically pulled Amare into his dorm, the door shutting behind them. The hug and cheek kiss surprise attack combo was not something Amare was accustomed too, especially due to the fact that his mind up until now was swimming with doubt.
However as the other boys words washed over him the doubt quickly started to fade away as if the warmth the boy normally exuded was amplified while being in his room. Taking advantage of the lack of stiffness in his bones(something that usually happened whenever Colt touched him) Amare would take small tentative steps around the fellow 1st years dorm.
There was nothing out of the ordinary, typical boy away from home type things. Then there were things you would only find in a room Colt lived in. These things were not strange because they went along with their owners mindset so perfectly they all fit right in with no one being the wiser.
"Take your time Colt I don't have anything really planned for today.
Still walking around, Amare would peek at the closet and then the desk. If there were any picture frames out and about he would go hook his thumbs into his front pants pockets and; rock to and fro on the heels of his feet if the pictures were hanging, bend over to get a closer look at the pictures if they were resting on a desk or dresser.
Hmm probably no Cape. I think that would be my only reserve, I fight close up and I think a cape would get in the way of that. Though I've seen super small ones that jutt outwards and backwards from the neck."
Chuckling to himself at how undecided he was despite going through all those people he jokingly threw in...
"Even thought about having a sort of thing that wraps around my neck. Like how those rich ladies wear fur? I imagine it more like a lions mane or something."
Amare wanted his costume to look good and dashing but also be reasonable for his quirk. In a fight many things are decided at the drop of a dime, so anything he could use to tip things to his favor would be the best. It does suck that his quirk is more reactive though meaning he would have to first survive the first punch thrown.
