Samantha was always a big supporter of democracy, so when the class at large decided they were going to the beach, she didn't want to stop them. But, that didn't mean she was interested in participating. She wasn't ready to put herself out there like that, and she definitely wasn't confident in her ability to squeeze herself into nothing but a swimsuit without raising a lot of questions. So, she met her classmates halfway. She was wearing a lovely black two piece, but her lower was wrapped up in a dark blue sarong, and she kept a wide brimmed hat on her head to keep the sun out of her face. All in all, it was clear that she was here to socialize, not swim. While her classmates all left the beach house, she set about making her own little paradise. Soon, she had a blanket splayed out on the deck overlooking the beach, with pillows for lounging and sitting on. At her side sat her new best friend, the smiling, giant plush cheeseburger affectionately referred to as Burg-chan. A portable tv hooked up to a game console sat a few steps ahead, and Sam had deigned to set a controller out for both Burg-chan and herself as she practiced combos and tech on her favourite fighting game. Sam's mouth was curled into a tight frown as she repeated the same string over and over. She used to be pretty good at this, and while she never scored amazingly she had gone to a few tournaments back in Canada. But it had been quite a while since she last played, and it showed in her tech and execution. She just couldn't string moves together the way she used to, and her memory of the proper spacing for her character was hazy. She needed to shake the rust off before she embarrassed herself. Of course, it'd be a lot easier if she had a human opponent instead of an adorable stuffed burger sitting in front of a spare controller. Tag: Momomomo Matsudaira

| The beach was never a place Momohara felt welcomed at. She had been there once as a kid, promptly through a tantrum after a solid 20, and cried until she was taken home. It wasn’t her proudest moment, but her opinion hadn’t changed since then. She had verbally complained about it to the class. ‘’What about the kids who are uncomfortable with swimming or can’t swim at all?’’ but over the excitement for the trip, was drowned out. She hadn’t been too upset about it, it was a class trip--not everyone was gonna enjoy it. Besides, It wasn’t like she couldn’t just call a car and leave.
So, packing her things and one of her systems just in case a TV happened to be there. She set off with the rest of her class. She tried to enjoy it at first, dressing in a simple one piece just to escape the heat. Her intentions of not wanting to swim becoming clear as she set up her large umbrella. Relaxing with her switch and a large bottle of sunscreen seemed like the best course of action. She had begun to feel comfortable, when the scurry of her other classmates brought gusts of sand at her, she hated sand. Grimacing she tried to ignore it, but when the next misplaced foot brought a tiny bit of sand onto her system. She got up, grabbed her things and made her way towards the deck.
She didn’t expect anyone to be up there, but was surprised to see a person. ‘’Oh hey-’’ she had started, her breath catching as she came onto the deck, noticing the TV. ‘’Ohmygod, you have a TV up here? I was totally missing out. Mind if I join you?’’ in her excitement, she thrust out her hand, tilting her head ‘’I’m Miki Momohara, and you are?’’
