The King and The Cat (Shinra, William)

The audacity of this kid....... First he shows up late and now he wants to underestimate me huh. Let's see how that cockiness works out for him. If there were two things in the world that could set William off into a blind rage it was tardiness and being cocky. Shinra had unknowingly just done both of them."My names William, you can call me Will. And yes I prefer when people show up at the time we agreed upon, but it's whatever, you're here now lets get to work.". William picked up and moved the remaining training dummies off to the side so they had a clear field between them. He then removed the jacket of his all black track suit and threw it to the side along with the dummies, leaving him in a plain red tank top and black sweatpants with his famously dirty white running shoes.



"Unless you'd like to warm up I say let's get to it. How about these rules since you look like a fighter, first to restrain or make their opponent quit wins, besides that let's go all out. You better not disappoint Shinra, I've heard a lot of good things about you, that you could give me a challenge. Let's see how true that is.". William lined up directly across from Shinra while bouncing in place to keep his body warm.



Two Blue constructs of pure energy encompassed his own arms, the weight immediately weighed down on his arms and shoulders. William lifted the massive arms into what appeared to be a typical boxer's stance."Your move Shinra......".

William watched as Shinra charged him to deliver the first strike in their match. It was blatantly obvious Shinra was testing the waters to see how he would react to such an easy attack. There was no point in revealing his own speed this early on in the fight, he still had to make his own evaluation of Shinra's abilities. Outside of his obvious physical appearance William knew almost nothing about what his fellow first year was capable of. Besides, there was no doubt in William's mind his armor could handle the blow. Alright, show me what you got cat boy......



As the massive feline charged him William closed his massive armor clad arms together to protect his chin and braced for the impact. The uppercut struck his guard with a impressive amount of force that reverberated throughout his entire body, but otherwise did no real harm. Jesus this guy hits hard.... But I bet he thinks these arms are the only thing I got in the arsenal. William dropped his arms and stepped back to get some distance from his opponent. Even with his adrenaline going through the roof he focused his mind on mustering more energy. In an instant he manifested the entirety of the upper body of his armor that clanked together as it formed as if it was metal despite being made of solid energy. The chest and back plates connected together as they extended and formed from the arms, completely encasing William inside. This was his ultimate attack and defense, however without the legs of his armor William was essentially immobile, forced to fight in one place unless he dropped the rest of his armor. But this didn't matter if he could end it quickly, stop the opponent from getting any distance and hit them with everything he had, this was his game plan for Shinra.


Immediately the weight of his construct hit him like wearing layers of weighted clothing, but he was more than strong enough to fight under these conditions. That was the purpose for all of his training, all of his drive, to become the strongest despite any drawbacks his quirk came with. This was his chance to prove it to himself that his work wasn't for nothing.



He cocked the massive arms of the construct back as far as they would retract. "ARMORED BARRAGE!!!!!". William let loose a series of consecutive blows downward towards Shinra, with the new weight of the armor working against him his speed was definitely inhibited but that would make his attacks none the less devastating. William smiled from within the armor encasing thinking of how Shinra could counter his attack.

As much as William wanted to be furious at how Shinra was absorbing his punches, he was more amazed and excited. Almost any other first year he sparred might have been dropped if not worse by these kinds of attacks but here this guy was tanking each and every one. William felt a whole new rush of excitement flow through his body, it made his arms and legs tingle and for a moment it caused him to throw a punch far too high allowing Shinra to duck under it. Oh crap........ This is what i get for losing focus. Before Will could even be mad at himself for his stupid mistake, Shinra closed the distance between them with terrifying speed and ferocity. Instinctively William tried to bring the massive arms of his construct down to block but he knew it would be far too slow.



In an instant Shinra was in his face and tackling him with enough force to knock the wind from his lungs and causing his vision to blur for a moment. This was all it took for William's concentration to break, the armor dissipated into nothing as William slammed back first into the grass with the feline opponent now on top of him. William coughed and wheezed to catch his breath as he scrambled for a better position on the ground. So this is the game you wanna play huh? Well you are in for a rude awakening if you think wrestling is my weak point! William did his best to slide his body with Shinra's massive frame weighing down on him into a better position. In one well practiced move he attempted to both wrap his legs around Shinra's giant torso and reach his arm over the top and around his neck to try for a guillotine choke.

As William cinched in the guillotine choke he felt Shinra's powerful grip on him loosen more and more. Holy crap this is actually working! He applied more and more force into the hold as he felt Shinra's body begin to give out. Suddenly he felt the grasp of a large furry arm around his waist and the resistance as Shinra began kicking and clawing into the dirt. Oh no oh no oh no....... William felt his entire body leave the ground as Shinra dead-lifted him a few inches from the grass. In one swift move William felt all of the air leave his lungs once again as his massive opponent slammed him into the ground with pure brute force.



William immediately released the choke hold and rolled out from underneath his opponent. He regathered himself with a few deep heavy breaths as stood up and brushed off the grass and dirt from his clothes."You know I really should thank you man, this is Definitely the most fun I have had in a while. We really have got to do this again dude, cause it sucks that I have to end this......... KNIGHT KING'S VENGEANCE!". Blue energy sparked into existence around William's body and began to form his armor construct around him. Again the chest and back plate connected together to encompass him but this time he manifested the entirety of his armor at once, his final hail Mary move to end this fight. As the armor grew and settled it stood 4 meters tall, towering over his opponent.


Almost immediately the drawbacks of his quirk hit him like a truck, his muscles tensed and ached under the weight of the construct as he fought to just stay standing against the immense pressure. This is the reality of what William lived with every time he trained his quirk, it's the reality he has chosen to live because of the good he knows he can do despite the pain. Every single bone and joint from his knees to his shoulders screamed in pain as he took what resembled a sprinters stance. His next move had to be flawless, he could only hold together his entire construct for around three minutes until his body couldn't take it. With terrifying speed he charged at his fellow first year who had proven himself to be more than a match for him, he raised his arm and kept low while sprinting with the attention of putting all of his momentum into a single clothesline attack.
