It was just another night wandering about through Tokyo. At this point Cody was getting used to it, and the alleys of Tokyo's streets were becoming a second home to the young man. Not that his other home could really be considered a home or anything. He still had nowhere to be. Still, being the new guy in the city had a lot of perks, as it meant he was a fresh face for anyone that saw him. Cody was practically a ripe fruit for any lowlife needing a helping hand and Cody was all to happy to provide.
Much like how he had come around to meet the Corporation, that night was going to offer him a similar chance to meet someone from something that sounded quite interesting. He was to meet with someone going by the name Daffodil. It wasn't a lot to go off of, but after finding himself quite lucky with the last person who slipped him some information about a fellow lowlife to meet, he decided to ride the luck and take the offer. Sure, if it was a trap he was walking into he wouldn't really have the means to escape it right now, but he was going to take that risk.
The location he was given to actually make contact with this person sounded quite fancy, including the means to actually get a hold of them. This was through a mailbox on the side of a bar which... well, he wasn't quite prepped for. With that in mind, he needed a way to write a letter so he could actually place it in there. This led Cody to detouring a bit to get himself some paper and writing supplies, sitting down against a wall in these back streets to properly get to writing.
'Greetings, Daffodil. Through recommendation I have been told to get in contact with you. I'm new to Japan and in dire need of work. Due to the world we live in I believe you understand what that means. As such, I would like to request a meeting where we could talk directly. I do not request to see your face if you desire to remain hidden, I myself will be covered in bandages so hopefully this can be respected both ways. I will be waiting inside of this bar, I shouldn't be too hard to find given my appearance. MD.' Cody would pocket his writing supplies and read over the note a few times, finding it sufficient. He'd take the time to fold it and place it into a small unsealed envelope that he had acquired while getting his other supplies. It was simple, but it would have to do.
With all of his preparations out of the way, Cody made his way to the bar. It took him a while to find where exactly the mailbox was hidden, but actually being able to find it meant that he knew he was at the right bar. Without hesitation, he slipped the envelope inside and made his way into the bar. He didn't actually plan to drink or anything... yet, at least. So he instead made his way over to an open seat and sat back. Hopefully he would be easily spotted given his... unique look. Maybe there was someone else in there fully wrapped in bandages as well that he just didn't notice, but if not he would be in the clear.
Now, all he had to do was wait and hope that the contact would show.

She was still at work. Daffodil and Narcissa separated during the day and night. Daffodil was mostly at home but she had obvious moments at this room in the bar. The barman her faithful ally who told her about the notes and would bring it when the letter of Cody was dropped off and she thanked him kindly before she would just leave the letter for a second on the side. She had seen someone at the mailbox, it was underneath her window that was covered with a sort of fabric that made her windows darker, but she could see outside. She did not see much, just a person. She put the papers in her bag and locked it up and would get it later. Right now she was working on a very difficult plan and that needed every piece of her attention. The reason why she cleared this up was because it was obviously that if the Daffodil got a request, Narcissa was too curious to wait too long to read the letter. She went to sit back in her chair and threw her feet on the table and took the envelope. She read it and read it again and stood up again. She would take a deep breath and opened another bag again and took a white mask out. She looked at it to make sure there was no smudge on it before cleaning the bag away again and she checked herself in the reflection of the mirror after she adjusted the mask to the contours of her face. She fixed her long caramel coloured hair up in a bun and checked her white with grey dress. She was ready but she wondered if people understood what working with her meant but she would pay them, she was not missing money very quickly, the ease of being an ambassador and the ease of her plans, if only it would work. She gave a small smile to herself that was not visible because of the mask and headed downstairs. Locking the door behind her and leaning over the bar to talk to her alley behind it, he would keep an eye out. She turned around and leaned against the bar, okay a person with bandages, that should be easy to find. Surely here and there, there was someone with a bandaid but eventually, she found the bandages and walked to that table. "Hi." She sat down without an invitation, "I read your letter and I have some time to discuss your ideas." Or give him some ideas, depending on what he preferred. mask

As soon as they had entered view, Cody's eyes were drawn to the person wearing the mask. It was probably a safe assumption that this person was important in some way, from the fancy attire they were wearing as they moved about the area. Sure enough, they eventually made their way to his own table where they sat down and spoke. Yeah, this was his contact. Some random passerby would have no reason to assume he was there to talk shop with anyone unless they got ahold of that letter which described his features. But he was feeling trusting today and just sort of assumed that his letter wasn't nabbed by an undesirable.
"Well hello there." Cody replied quite bluntly back, looking around for a moment as she brought up having time to discuss his ideas. There wasn't much he had in mind yet, as he hadn't been given too much to go off of aside from a name and a place "I'm looking for a job of some kind. It doesn't have to be something permanent. Hell, it doesn't even have to be something I do every day. But I do want it to be relatively... lowkey." he explained a bit of his desire with her for now, but it wasn't too much to go off of. He needed to explain it a bit more to make sure he got his point across if Daffodil would be a proper employer. If not, he was always happy to meet strong contacts in places like this.
"See, I don't quite like being in the public eye all too much. So anything that can keep me from becoming the next big thing on the news would be nice. I don't care if it's becoming a bodyguard for someone important, or just lurking about to make sure the right people stay in their places without making a move. Or.... anything else you might have in mind that you need done. I'm game." for the time being he would end it off on that. It was a couple of ideas he had in mind but honestly, he was just happy to get some work of some kind. As long as it didn't end with him blowing something up and making a huge name for himself he was content.
Cody leaned forward against the table and cracked a bit of a smirk at Daffodil. "So, do you by chance have anything for me?"

It was actually a strange phenomenon, the fact that Narcissa spoke to quite a few people on a daily basis while she was so full of rage. She could not stand people, the dishonesty that people showed and the lies and untrustworthy was why the contrast of her job was so strange. She talked to people, she listened but it all was fake, if they would do something to her, she would not wait and kill or well, let them be killed. Narcissa did not want to get her own hands dirty, she had good people working with her such as Ndeye, so she was actually rather curious what the word on the street was. Narcissa had been hiring people that she thought would fit her line of work rather perfectly, in this case, that was the girl who wanted to learn stealth and the man without an identity. As well as Niso, but he was fascinating in every sense of the word. With a grump looking face she was looking at her reflection and touched the scar underneath her eye, light pink on her soft brown skin. It annoyed the crap out of her as well, but it's because her mother had made it. Her life, it had always warned her for what was coming but she had not wanted to see the signs. Now the signs were over and their faces no longer in her life, though still in her nightmares. She just shrugged them off. She put the mask over her face, hiding the scar, hiding her cheekbones, her jawline, her lips and basically everything but one eye. The other looking slightly through the vines of the white mask. At least this person seemed to know slightly how the world worked, not being disappointed by her mask. She might like this person a little more than normal people.
She found him and quickly dropped herself on his table and started her blunt thing. Time was of the essence in the life of an informant, time in this case was literally money. Every piece of information would be able to find her if she was available and she already worked most of the day because of having a civilian identity. Narcissa, as many had already learned, was not someone to be silly and take matters the long way, she went usually straight to the point. Not everyone liked that and not everyone appreciated that, but this was just how she was and it would not change, no matter what identity. She needed to know what this man thought and what he wanted, that meant also she assumed he was a guy because the bandages made it difficult but his voice was there. She nodded, he started well, that was for sure. She smiled a little, though hidden by her mask, she simply turned her head a little, by tilting it to the left and looked at him with her brown eyes, giving a nod to indicate he could go on.
"You seem to know quite a lot already of what I normally need." She said softly, though they were in a bar, she knew these people, she had them all winded around her fingers like little puppets, but that did not mean that she did want others to hear it. Just this man, that was enough. "I have my own little organisation, lowkey if you would say that is not really something that takes you every day but it could be. I am looking for people who would like to work with me. That entails at first instance that you go and do your own thing no matter what but if you hear anything particular, peculiar or interesting, you refer it to me and I pay, no matter what you tell me." Though don't make a mistake in that if people would give her bullshit all the time, she will find out. Source checking. "I also trust these people in my little garden enough to give them bigger jobs like tracking some of my targets or coming along on dangerous jobs, an informant is always in danger aren't they?" She liked this man, his smirk was interesting and well he seemed to know exactly how to play this. "You come at the right time too, I have been working on a silent mission to get rid of one of the ministers."

The smirk that Cody had on his face hung for a while as he listened to what Narcissa had to say. It seemed that she had precisely the kind of thing he was looking for. Being an informant just required him to slink around as he already liked to do and keep tabs on things. Of course, there was always danger in this line of work no matter what you did. But there was a sense of security around being an informant over being a bank robber or something like that, at least when it came to the jobs he liked to do. Hating publicity sort of led to him not wanting to take jobs like that.
What she mentioned next, however, certainly got his interest as his smirk would fade and he'd cock an eyebrow, which couldn't really be seen behind his bandages but the overall expression of his face changed nonetheless. "Get rid of a minister, huh? Do you mean like gathering dirt to get them kicked out... or..." as he finished off, he'd bring a finger to his throat and slowly drag it from one side to the other. If her plans involved murdering some minister Cody would be game, but it would be awkward to assume she wanted to kill the person if the plans were just to get enough dirt on them to get them out of office.
"In any case, I'd be happy to bring information to you every now and then if I find something out. But feel free to call me in if you need something more direct done with something that you figure out. I'd be all too happy to jump on whatever you're looking into." after his bit of talking, he would lean back against his seat and stare across at Daffodil. Cody was still interested to hear about her plans with this minister of hers, depending on how she was planning to handle it, it could be right up his alley.

It was always nice to know and meet people that were interested in the line of work that she offered. Her hard work in the last halfyear brought finally its fruits. Though the fruit would not be ready for harvest yet but she would work on that in a few weeks. The plan was unfolding and becoming ready but that means that it would soon be time to see how that would result. To see meltdown's interest she would mention what her next plan was and with an amused invisible smile on her face, she eyed the man opposite her and made a soft chuckling sound, "Wouldn't it only be more interesting if I say both." She said with an amusing noise in her voice, for now, she would not say more and she would see if he would be interested in everything she would tell him.
"I am glad to hear that, it would be nice to have more people around to depend on and of course, if you would need information or a favour, the Garden of Whispers is open for that as well." She wanted to state, that's how she got Niso in, and basically Miyami too. It was a lot of work but it gave Narcissa the ability to learn more and to gather information for other villains and people, which was a very interesting job. "So could you tell me what your talents are because in my task to get rid of someone, I need to know who would be good to work with me." She always said that the players of her garden were with much more, in fact, she had a few goons that she could turn to her hand, they were mostly from this bar but she rather counted on her special team and Cody would obviously be part of that. She slid her business card across the table, "Here is my phone and the invitation to our hidden chat. It's to easier share your information with me or to discuss work matters." It would only work once, so he couldn't give the code to someone else, or he wouldn't be able to join anymore, so that's also how she knew if people were trustworthy or not. Narcissa leaned on her hand and tilted her head thus a little and stared at Cody. She really hoped this partnership would work out, it was a very interesting person already to look at, his interest in her next plan made it only the better.

Cody was being led on a little bit, but he didn't mind too much. A bit of suspense to learn exactly what she was planning was fine by him. He would shrug his shoulders with a bit of a smile, chuckling alongside the woman. "I suppose it would be." he would respond quite bluntly before staring back across at Daffodil as she started to talk more.
It seemed that he would also have access to information and the ability to ask for favors through this Garden. It was definitely an excellent selling point and meant that there was a lot of mutual benefit outside of just having a job. The information hidden within the Garden could likewise give him more opportunities just like this one, it was an excellent place to be if he wanted to push himself forward.
Next was the subject of his talents which was something he always struggled with. But he could always be a bit blunt about it. "Despite wanting something lowkey, I'm not the quietest person with my Quirk. I can expel this flammable radioactive smoke out of my body, it explodes and catches things on fire. So it can be used for a bit of destruction and of course to burn things... or people." that was about all of the talents that came from his quirk. Of course, he had a minor regeneration factor from the radiation as well, but that wouldn't help get at a minister. "Aside from that, I've always had a passion for torturing people. So if you need someone roughed up a lot to give information during this little operation, I wouldn't be opposed to being the one to do so." it seemed like so far a lot of people were up to giving him jobs that aligned with that passion, which was nice for him but he hoped it wouldn't kill his motivation and love for it.
After that he was given a code for some sort of hidden chat, reminding him a lot of that weird encrypted channel that popped up a while back for him. He wasn't going to wait or anything, so he actually pulled out his own device and entered the chat before their meeting there was actually complete, seeing as there was a bit of a lull in the conversation. "There we go, thanks." he would smile to himself while pocketing the device, feeling as if he just passed an interview with flying colors.
There was still another pressing matter to him that he would always ask others when he was given these opportunities. Though with this conversation in particular it seemed less pressing. "So aside from your plan that you are working on, the information gathering work seems relatively at my own leisure. I imagine I am free to work with others as well? As long as I don't disclose stuff from here, of course." he'd ask quite bluntly as he knew he was getting opportunities all the time while learning more about this country.

She could not immediately give price everything she wanted, which was the whole reason why she would lead on Meltdown a little. She would just see if it was something that interested him, after all, she needed someone to comply with her ideas before giving them. She would wait for a short reaction before she would continue, though not immediately about how she planned to kill the minister and torture him at the same time. She would sell her idea, the concept of giving favours and taking favours is what made her able to do so quite well. She would see how well this would go at this point but it seemed to be going fine. She would be able to hide information from him or for him. It was just something that would depend on him. She would, therefore, ask his talents, this wasn't really a job interview or something, everyone had talents and he had already started very well with his idea of being low-key. See that's what you needed from people that would gain your information.
She nodded, well not everyone was very well versed with their quirk, had a quirk or was silent with her quirk like hers. So she only batted her eyes when he told her how his quirk worked, "Still a very interesting and useful quirk but I get what you mean." Burn people, now that was something she could use very well from time to time. Which only made her smile more, and besides, Ndeye might not be able to always come along and she refused to ask Antonio because it wasn't part of their deal on every front, it was protection against Crowley and Ishtar after all.
"I think you be the first to be called when I have my plan right into action. You definitely sound someone that works perfectly well in this little garden of mine." It was probably not too difficult to wonder why she called it a garden, it was like collecting flowers and it fitted her online alias that she now carried as her handle. Besides, she could use anything else from him. "But again I have to point out that not everything might be such a thrilling job, after all, it is mostly listening and using that information for all matters." Which was her main goal.
She handed him her business card, still saying the name Daffodil and the code to join the channel. She watched him while now leaning on her hand and just seeing what he would do with it. Smiling underneath her mask as she felt the buzz of her own phone stating that he joined. She gave a firm nod with this, "Yes." She said, giving in a moment of silence. "The information I need will be asked from you through that little chat and if you bump into any information, you can give it to me and I will pay you, of course I will also pay you if you can give me the information I asked for. It will be for both our best interest to not share it with others. But in the mean time you can always do whatever you want, just keep eyes and ears open for interesting talk and if I need something more than just information, I will offer it, and you could take it or you don't." It was a matter of so many things that happen, she wanted to be an open organisation for everyone. If she was this open, that meant she get more people to talk to her and give her information than stating they could only work for her. And as she only paid per job or obtained information, it was easy for her to do it this way.

Another smirk crossed Cody's face as he heard that he was someone that worked perfectly well. He was glad that his set of skills would be of use, and he didn't quite mind that it wouldn't always be thrilling. He didn't need thrilling stuff per se, but it was definitely the most entertaining. "That is fine, I don't mind the quieter stuff. As long as I have something to put my time into I'll be happy." he would muse over what he had to say on the topic, smiling to himself as it was another great opportunity he had gotten himself into. It was always nice to have somewhere to work competently.
The response to him being able to work with others was also positive in his favor, though he expected that much. And then she went on to explain more about this little app that she had given him access to. It made things a lot more simple, meant he didn't have to come here all the time when he wanted to disclose something. "I'll make sure to listen in to whatever I can, and I'll bring it to your attention if I think it is of any use. Sorry if I end up bringing in duds though, I'm not too sure what all is important just yet. But I guess the app makes it so less time is lost on the less useful stuff." he looked down to the pocket he had placed the device into. It really was a useful little thing, if something he had was useless, setting up an entire face-to-face meeting like this would be an atrocity. But with it, that was simply a waste of five or so seconds that it took to read or type out.
"In any case, I'll be on the lookout. And if you need me for any jobs I'll definitely be on-call. I take it we're about done here?" he offered another slight smirk as he shifted himself in his seat. If this was to be the end of their meeting, he could get going on his way and find somewhere to crash for the rest of the day. There was only so much he wanted to get up to that night, and this was already a huge success. Though of course, he wasn't going to ditch on a whim, if she had more to say to him he was going to stick around. But the current assumption was that he could get out of there and they could go back to their own business.

She was glad to see that she and Meltdown would be quite okay with this way of working together. He understood everything up to this point. That not everything would be interesting, that not everything asked for action and yet he might be asked, hired by her to get to that part specifically. She was very glad about that and liked how he smiled about the idea while he thought about it. She smiled to him though and would explain to him a little more about how the Garden also provided flavours and favours together with money, depending on what they wanted, everything or not. But she would have a few ideas where she could immediately make use of this new partnership.
"Don't apologize and do not be afraid. As a starter, it is difficult what is important and what is not or what is fascinating and what is not. The problem is I cannot explain this to you because some of the smaller things are considering interesting but of course, it always sounds like looking for the big gossip." She smiled, "So, in this case, it is trial and error." She hoped to take a little of the edge of Cody's ideas of what he could do and what he could let her know. That was indeed what the chat was made for as well and thus it was rather interesting to consider and this was the moment. She was rather happy with this moment, so nice that people went to find her out and inform her of their interests and work.
"We are exactly. Thank you for finding me and thank you for our future partnership." She smiled, this was the moment, Daffodil was going places if she would dare to admit to herself and Japan was now on her list.
