Having just arrived in Japan by way of freighter, Cody had absolutely no idea of what exactly he was going to do to get his name out there. What were the lowlifes and scumbags of this eastern country like anyways? He had only really been introduced to the cultures of those to the West sides of the world, so for all he knew the darker side of this place was far different from anything he had come to know.
It was currently nighttime, which meant that the cover of darkness served him well as he walked throughout the streets. His bandaged appearance would probably look quite creepy to anybody peering at his face underneath the black hoodie he was wearing. Everything about his visage screamed 'scum', which was probably fair. After all, he did find himself quite enjoying himself whenever he got the chance to torture people. Maybe that said more about him than anything else but he didn't want to think about it all too much, he had a name to make for himself.
After scouring around the streets of Tokyo for quite some time, trying to find some sort of inkling on where exactly he could start, his eyes would fall on a rather rundown looking warehouse district. Whether it was abandoned or not, Cody didn't really care, it looked exactly like where a bunch of lowlifes would squat around trying to discuss their 'nefarious plans'. And even if it wasn't, Cody needed a place to rest his head too considering he had nothing to his name just yet.
Cody found a small part of the outer wall of the small warehouse district that was walled off with wood. He couldn't blast through metal with his Quirk, but something as simple as a wooden fence was doable. A black film quickly covered Cody's eyes as the whites of his bandages started to emit a dim red glow. A heat built up throughout his chest as he'd open his mouth wide. Within moments, a thick pool of black smoke bellowed from his throat, crashing against the wooden wall and spreading outwards about twelve feet. With the full extent of his breath reached, the rest of the smoke petering out beyond that distance, a sudden change in his chest would occur as the entire cloud would ignite!
A rush of fire overtook the wooden wall, crashing through it and causing a long stream of flame to bellow out into the warehoukse compound until it reached twelve feet once more and petered out. Cracks were left along the concrete that his flame crashed across, the flame continuing forth for a few seconds before Cody closed his mouth and gritted his teeth, letting out a grunt. "Dammit... that still hurts like hell." he'd grumble to himself while trying to contain the heat in his body.
After his excessive display of breaking and entering through this wall, Cody walked inside the area to look between the few warehouses. Considering he had just loudly made his entrance, it wasn't unlikely that somebody could have already overheard and called the cops on his disturbance. But for the sake of not wanting to go to jail just yet, he decided to hope otherwise. Still, there was an extremely simple fact that any number of people could be hiding in this place, be it abandoned by society or not.
He walked up to one of the warehouses on a whim, sliding one of the doors open to peer inside. "Oi... any bastard already squatin around in here? I'm stayin either way but you may as well get a warning." he'd express himself quite loudly, calling into the warehouse only to hear the echo of his voice go deeper within. After hearing nearly nothing back, Cody would slide the door all the way open to stand in the center looking inside at all of the random containers inside. The place certainly didn't LOOK abandoned, but he couldn't find anyone to speak of. Perhaps these were all just left here after a project was canceled? He couldn't really tell, but he sort of wanted to wreck house and see how much he could ruin in one night before making the place a pad to crash at.
"This could be fun" he'd offer a smirk to himself through his bandages, not really paying enough attention to his surroundings now that he had found something to do.

Since reuniting with Luzia, Niso had an urge to… start something. Something that wasn’t quite ‘there’ yet for anyone. Something people like him and Luzia could enjoy. Muramasa had his cult of ragers, a place for people who wanted to smash and bash through the world and nothing else. Thunder, curse his soul, had a home for the underbelly of Tokyo and Japan at large. Anyone who wanted to perform seedier, underhanded crimes tended to go through his ranks at some point or anything. Ishtar… she was for the smarter folks. Sure she had her fraternity, where even people like Niso were allowed to rest and regain their strength, aid eachother but… it wasn’t for Niso. Even if it wasn’t meant to be, it felt elite. It felt… fancy. He didn’t want that. He wanted something more tightly knit, yet free formed. He wanted to see people think for themselves, yet form together when they needed one another. He wanted criminals and villains alike who TRULY relied on eachother, out of choice at times rather than necessity…
He wanted another Eternity. A better Eternity. He’d heard Kyoko was back, that she might be running that again but… as close as that group felt, the lack of activity was what burned into him. He wanted something better than that. Something constantly active. Something chaotic. A name escaped him, but he at least had his goal here. His desire.
Looking for a home for his potential group, wanting to present it to his darling Luzia as a fully formed idea, or as close to it as he could achieve, Niso had been searching and scouting out many abandoned locations that the forces of Tokyo’s law enforcement wouldn’t easily be able to reach, and that could make a comfortable home with a few tweeks. The warehouse district he had been searching today came close but… no. If too many of them gathered here the police would come across them in no time, with ease…
Perhaps he’d need some actual money to get a real base of operations. Everywhere that was easy to invade and fill was too… obvious.
“Hm?”
His ears perked up as he heard someone calling out, the mostly empty warehouses and their metal structures leaving Niso with an echo of their voice. He took careful steps, not resting too much of his weight on either foot with each step he took, pearing about just as the man seemed to have his back to him, Niso smiling wide and calling out to catch him off guard.
“I’m not squatting yet but I might have been planning to!~” He teased as he strolled out into the open, his hands resting in his jacket pockets, a wide grin on his maw as he presented his ever chesire like smile. “Though looking at you you’d fit right in with my little family!~ I’d hardly be against sharing if I choose to stay myself.~”
Niso rubbed his hands together, looking the fellow up and down… he was certainly unique.~

It had actually come as quite a surprise when Cody heard a voice call out to him, he wasn't expecting someone to really be here at that moment. His gaze would snap to look at this guy, the grin giving an eery unease to his very being. Cody couldn't help but flinch a bit and stare more concerned now that he knew he wasn't entirely alone. It was hard to trust random people on a whim, and the casual stride and look of this guy brewed confidence that caused Cody to tense up.
This all, was until Niso mentioned his family to him causing Cody to cock his head to the side in a bit of confusion. "Eh? Fit into your family?" Cody questioned with an obvious uncertainty to his voice. What was this guy talking about anyway? But then a cord struck with him, this was exactly the kind of person he was looking for when coming to this city. Someone he could resonate with and possibly join, though he was obviously going to play his cards around a bit and weigh all of his options.
"Well if we aren't going to have problems, I suppose I wouldn't be against sharing this place either. Though I don't plan to stick around forever, I just need a temporary place to kick back." he spoke with a bit more urgency now as he looked around the place. It was nice enough but it was still just a warehouse. He wanted something a bit more sustainable than some abandoned-looking place like this.
Cody slowly began to go around this new guy, walking into the warehouse more but trying to keep a distance of about twelve feet from him for the time being. "Though I'm not going to lie, I was half tempted to start blowing all of the supplies here up for the hell of it. I suppose that is off the table now though if you want to keep it all in-tact." he mused for a bit while looking over the crates. It was doubtful that he actually owned this stuff, as he said he was only thinking of squatting here. But that didn't mean he would so willingly let him cause a bit of chaos.
"Ah, and feel free to call me MD. I find it a simple enough name to get my attention." he'd remark briefly while glancing over at the guy again. He didn't even know if this guy was some lowlife like himself or just a random person trying to get by, but the little family remark had Cody leaning on the former.

Niso’s smile grew a little more when he noted Cody’s confusion. He liked feeling like the smart one in a room no matter how small a capacity that may be. And even then, heck, he only had to FEEL like the smart one in the room. A pretty common sensation when he was dealing with those stupid heroes who didn’t understand his way of like. “Oh don’t worry about it. I was just saying if we have to share I hardly think anyone I know would be against the company of someone who looks like you.~” He stuck his tongue out in a playful expression, his motions both childlike and… oddly stiff yet… fluid. It was as though every motion he made was an act on some varying level compared to the rest.
“Oh I might not be staying here, I’m just considering it. Been looking for a little ‘base of operations’ for my crew so to speak.” He swirled about on his heel, lifting his hands with his finger and thumbs at angles like a camera lens as he took in the image of the place mentally, humming pleasantly to himself before landing back on his other foot facing the odd individual here with him, resting his hands in his pockets. “But no, I could never see us having any problems. So long as your not a friend of Thundershocks or some heroes…~” He chimed, walking past Cody, not leaving the space but Niso was clearly an individual who didn’t do well staying still, consistently walking or twirling as they spoke to one another.
His eyes grew wide with a sense of excitement as Cody mentioned he was gonna start blowing the place up, Niso whistling as he leaned over, grabbing an old piece of structuring that had fallen from the roof, some cubicle iron pipe, swinging it about through the air and the sound of air swooshing through it’s hollow center ringing out with a metallic tinge. “You like to smash things up huh? Funnily enough I find that a delightful pastime myself…” He spun about once again and leaned back against one of the shipping containers, gesturing to the supplies around them. “By all means don’t stop yourself on my account…~ Niso. By the way.~” He tipped his head to the side as he observed Cody, curious to see how he would choose to act and what his quirk might be should he have one… but he definitely seemed like a quirker.~

Cody remained as suspicious as possible as this guy explained that the people he knew wouldn't mind someone that looks like Cody. "I see... and what sort of people do you know, anyway?" it was definitely something that Cody was curious about. If this guy really was a lowlife of some kind, then it meant his connections could be people of the same ilk. It could very well be an opportunity he had stumbled upon without knowing it just yet. But at the same time, this guy seemed a little bit unhinged, the playful way he showed himself around while also being somewhat stiff just gave off a very broken vibe to him. It wasn't something that Cody was against per se, it was just concerning.
The topic of looking for a base of operations came up after that, causing Cody to tilt his head in thought. Honestly, this place probably wasn't a good base to settle down in, so it made sense that it was simply just a thought. Finding something more sustainable was probably better for an entire crew. Cody was only thinking about it since he had nowhere to throw himself for the time being. He decided not to comment on it for the time being.
The next thing this guy had to say was something about heroes or some other person named Thundershock, which caused Cody to shake his head dismissively. "I'm pretty new to Japan, so I don't know what a Thundershock even is. Nor do I look to associate with any heroes, I feel like they wouldn't like me." he mused for just a moment before watching the guy as he walked by, trying his best to stay on guard still as he hadn't quite gotten a read on this guy yet.
They seemed to be somewhat on the same wavelength in some ways though, which sort of confirmed in Cody's head that they were both lowlives of some kind. Smashing things up was always fun and it meant the two of them had something to bond over, though hopefully, it wouldn't end in an attempt to smash one another up. And then Cody got a name, Niso. It sounded like a real name, as opposed to his alias of MD, but it didn't bother Cody too much to know someone's actual name if this was the case.
As it seemed that Cody wasn't going to be stopped or anything, he offered a slight smirk to Niso now. "I suppose I'll burn some of this stuff then, feel free to partake however you'd like. We can dip after if this place gets a bit too messy." as he spoke, he'd turn towards some of the containers. His quirk wasn't nearly strong enough to smash through a metal container, but he could certainly burn the supplies inside. Perhaps they wouldn't be entirely gone but making them unusable was fine enough for him.
Once more, Cody slowly opened his mouth wide, a glassy black screen flipping over Cody's eyes as he built up the heat inside of his body. In a sudden burst, he would fire a stream of black smoke straight inside of one of the boxes filled with wood supplies, twelve feet of smoke vomiting out of his throat until a spark would light, quickly igniting the entire line of smoke into a small sea of flame. It immediately blew through the wooden supplies and lit it all on fire, a slow-burning fire igniting inside, the fire line bellowing out of Cody's throat slowly petering out as he'd close his mouth and his eyes would return to normal.
Cody smiled once again, looking to Niso. "What do you like to do, to cause a bit of havoc."

“What sort of people do I know huh?~ Oooo asking such questions of a stranger. I’m almost tempted to play coy~” He teased with a sly smile, a hand resting on his chest as his motions seemed almost theatrical in how he responded, a low chuckle flowing out of his throat but at the end of the day simply shrugging as he explained his situation. “I know a handful of goons and crooks… but I’d say once you get settled into Japan you should look up Pinocchio and the Painter at a local internet Café. Personally I hate that old name but it’s still what gets me the most google results it seems. I’m sure you’ll be a little impressed…~”
Though as far as Thundershock went- “I wouldn’t wait for Google on Thundershock though. He’s a despicable yakuza man who rose to power on name and abuse of those around him. Deals in slaves, drugs, all that despicable stuff… I mean by all means Kill people but to sell them into slavery? Ugh. There are few things that truly sicken me to my core… but that man represents all of them…” He almost seemed to gag at the thought of him before a shiver ran down his whole body, purging the thought of Thunder from his system. “As far as heroes go though… good plan. You hardly seem the type anyway.~”
Watching Cody’s quirk actually in action, Niso’s eyes would flow from his body to the actual damage his quirk was causing, rounding he container to get a better view with a sly smile still formed on his lips. He liked to find interesting people on his side of the law, and Cody, just causing a mess for the sake of causing a mess? He was definitely Niso’s kind of person. When asked what he did to cause a bit of havoc, Niso’s smile brightened into a grin with a casual shrug.
“Oh I’m not strong enough to do stuff like these containers without help. Besides I like a bit more lights and noise and all that to my chaos! Maybe smashing up the slots at a casino or trashing the window of a literal china shop or something! Maybe killing people I find too boring to be worth the air they waste!” Grasping onto the edge of the container that Cody was trashing the contents of, Niso very easily yanked his lightweight frame up onto the top of it, sitting atop it cross legged in a fluid motion. “

Cody wasn't given too much to work with when it came to who exactly Niso was or who he knew. He supposed he'd have to give that internet search a shot some time, considering that was the only way he could reasonably find more. It seemed this guy had some publicity to him that Cody hadn't exactly expected to find. If Cody had his way he wouldn't wind up on the internet himself though, he wanted to stay out of the public eye as much as he possibly could.
The next interesting tidbit was on Thundershock. The Yakuza certainly had a reputation to it that Cody had heard about in the past, but this stuff did seem quite bad. He didn't have much of a thought on drugs personally, to each their own... but slaves did sound quite low. He knew that there were lowlives everywhere but it was the degree that they would go that really mattered to him. It was obvious that all of it repulsed Niso though, so Cody did his best not to comment on it for the time being. It was a bad subject when trying to make a new ally, to linger into the subject of those they hated. And on the subject of heroes, it was pretty much obvious that neither of them was in that club.
After burning the contents of the container and lighting it a bit ablaze on the inside, Cody followed Niso with his eyes and listened to what he had to say. It sounded like whatever Niso had at his disposal, it wasn't useful in destroying stuff. But his own flavor of chaos was nice as well. He watched Niso climb up onto the container and smirked up at him. "I wouldn't mind going out with you sometime to cause a mess at a casino, so do you actually have a Quirk of some kind?" he was curious now, squinting up at the guy. Niso wasn't strong enough to cause destruction like this, but he seemed quite confident in himself. He had to have something up his sleeve even if he wasn't that kind of quirker.
Still, the topic of killing people also came up, which Cody could only shrug a bit at. He was more into the torture business himself, though it usually led to someone dying anyway so it was hard to say he was for or against it. It was mostly just a... side effect.

Niso’s grin grew a little just watching the contents of the container burn before climbing atop it from the side, sitting over the edge of the open doors and swinging his legs casually as he just felt the warmth of the container against his rear end like a heated car seat, not quite feeling dangerously hot yet. The question was turned on him to see if he had any sort of quirk, and his smile only picked up further, pushing up off his hand to stand on the container.
“Oh I have something pretty special if I can say so myself!~” He chimed out with a sense of confidence in his voice. Resting a hand on his shoulder, her took a slow breath… and with a sharp motion seemed to dislocate the joint with unsettling ease, almost like he was a frail creature made of wire and paper mache. He hissed briefly in pain, but even as his arm hung loose at his side, a moment later it snapped again, looking like it was dragged back into place from the inside with another hiss of pain. “I don’t like to give the whoooole game away but you can consider it a regenerative quirk. I can outlive most things people throw at me! Helps when you live a life as messy as mine…~”

As Niso spoke so confidently, Cody couldn't help but raise an eyebrow out of curiosity once again. 'Something pretty special' was as vague as it came, all Quirks were fairly special in their own right. Though as time went on and they became more common he supposed there would be a day where absolutely nobody was special, it was just about how good their Quirk did on the slots when they were born and little more than that.
Though the curiosity would soon fall as Cody would drop his jaw ever so slightly in disbelief as Niso went out of his way to dislocate his own shoulder. Why would he go and do something like that!? But all of the pieces quickly fell into place, much like Niso's joint as it placed itself back without much effort, causing Cody to let out a bit of a chuckle.
"So that's it huh. I don't need the specifics, that is more than enough." he moved his hand to his chin to think on it for a moment. That explained a lot already. Niso's quirk didn't exactly lend itself to immediate destruction, but it allowed him to withstand any punishment he needed to while dealing with other Quirkers so he could get the job done. No wonder he seemed so confident even without an offensive side to it all.
It actually lent itself quite well to Cody as well. Cody's quirk was inherently useful at range, with very little defensive options to speak of. Working alongside someone who could be a bit of a melee bruiser with an incredible regeneration quirk was a boon if anything. It was settled, he couldn't help but accept this guy as some sort of ally, Niso didn't seem like the type who would keep stuff a secret or stab him in the back. So far anyway. "I think the two of us could make quite a lucrative pair. I suppose I wouldn't mind meeting the rest of this 'family' of yours sometime." Cody smirked a bit as he glanced back to Niso, reaffirming the idea of trying to get somewhat of an in with him. It was safe to say that he still didn't know exactly what kind of people Niso was with yet, but if they were anything like him, they could probably pull off quite the fun little outings together. Who knew what could come of it for the time being.

As Cody seemed to show genuine interest in his quirk Niso couldn’t help but smile. Even if it wasn’t offensive, or ‘devestating’, Niso had always believed his quirk was a cut above the rest to say the least. While a stray bullet or a powerful fist could send most other quirkers to an early grave, Niso bared through it all and continued to survive no matter what was thrown at him. Bludgeoning, fire, acide, drowning, her pushed through it over and over again with his unique control over every cell in his body, forcing himself to endure where other people’s pathetic bodies would just… give out, and fade, like pathetic husks…
Suffice to say, when it came to his quirk, Niso felt he earned a sense of superiority…~
“Aw but the specifics are half the fun.~” He teased, trying to hint idly at the fact that his quirk had more going on then met the eye, but he did raise his hands to hush any further questions before they came. “But, you’re right, some things are best kept secret. Don’t want to go giving away my weaknesses to someone I just met do I?~” He teased with a wide smirk, shifting to sit more comfortably atop the metallic container he was using as his seat during their idle conversation. As Cody went on, he hinted himself at the fact that it seemed like the two of them might make a good pair, Niso scoffing a little as he seemed to have turned from interested, but dismissive, to entirely willing to form some sort of connection with this agent of chaos before him…
Niso definitely liked someone who was willing to turn their whims about so quickly, he supposed.
Hopping down from the container, a fair drop but nothing he couldn’t easily spring up from, he rose to his full height and offered Cody a wormy smile that slipped from cheek to cheek. He offered his hand across and his smile remained just as wide as he offered a vague ‘signing of the deal’. “Sure. I’m sure if you’re the kind of person I think you are I’ll easily be able to track you down once we have a more… permanent residence, so to speak. And even if we never find one, that won’t stop us having some fun we can invite you along on…~” Assuming they shared a handshake, Niso would swiftly twist on his heel and began to saunter away, waving over his shoulder. “I’ll leave this place to you though… can hardly make a good home of it after you’ve had fun burning it to cinders.~”
