Business. Was it though? Since she had started her job with Ketsujo, it seemed that business was something you were paid to do. It didn't matter if you hated your job, or your boss. You came, you worked, you got paid. What you did with your money was up to you. That being said, with the ability to easily wash the blood off her own money, was as simple as taking it to a bank. There was benefits to owning them, and even more so when you emptied the vault. Everything seemed to be a classic conflict of interest, but when she was paid to do what she was going to do anyways, why would she turn down the offer? She turned down the radio, parking the van in the empty parking lot. The matte black color fighting the reflections of the light, not caring how things were outside of it. The back of the van was filled with all of the weapons that man needed. To pay for a bunch of illegal weapons with illegally laundered cash, for a man who wrote books she enjoyed, seemed like a bribe. But in truth, she just wanted answers. The act itself, was just a small gesture made with pocket change. She rolled down the windows, just an inch to hear the outside world. The van doors locked, saved for the passenger side. She was prepared. The black suit and gloves to match. Her hair colored purple for the evening. Large black horns atop her head, and half a skull that covered her face. Her own facial structure altered for the evening. fibers laid over her vocal cords to distort her own voice. She waited for her man. Man who wanted revenge for what happened to his lover. A woman captured and locked up by a hero. The woman that killed her sister. ~ Word Count: 311 ~ |

"Drive."
It was still a rather curious feeling, a relatively new sensation. That of course being giving orders to henchmen. It had only been a few months since Alaster had formed his very own gang, yet he still could not get completely used to having others obey his every whim. It actually felt rather refreshing to be a leader. Of course, the only reason Yatagarasu was formed to begin with was to have the power necessary to punish anyone who dared bring misery to his beloved. Well, that and also declare war on his former gang, but Meiko would always have a much higher priority than anything else. Sure, Alaster could just rip apart any fool who chose to try and make his lavender angel unhappy all on his own. But really, it was so much simpler to order goons to do it all for you.
This all started with a simple fact. The fact that the members of Yatagarasu, while pretty well armed, could still use an upgrade in terms of weaponry. After all, Alaster needed to utterly crush any fool who dared to stand in his way. Now normally, seeing that Plutocracy rep Mercury (or the billboard as Alaster liked to call that person, due to their near constant advertising and trying to procure customers) in Villain Chat would make him sigh in annoyance and roll his eyes. But not this time. For once, he was actually pleased to see that person. As annoying as they were, they at least were useful in the fact that they had access to much needed weaponry and supplies. Good to see the Plutocracy rep being useful for something.
Now, despite the rather hefty price for the weapons Alaster was interested in, he actually did have the money necessary to buy it all. Sure, it would leave him rather low on funds for a bit, but nothing that he couldn't recover from. However, it seemed as though someone decided to be surprisingly generous and buy all those weapons and supplies for him. Army of Bones, as they were called. Who was this person, and why did they decide to do what they did? Alaster was honestly intrigued more than anything else. He supposed that he needed to think of something to repay the favor. But for now, he would have his men drive him to that location. To meet up with Army of Bones and pick up the goods. And if possible, to figure out the motive for why someone would choose to go out of their way to buy expensive weapons for a deranged psychotic serial killer. He doubted it was just because they were a fan of his writing. Surely there had to be more to it than just that, right?
Just what is it you're up to? I doubt it was because of the kindness of your heart. Humans have no heart, no true generosity without some kind of ulterior motive.
Eventually, the black car would arrive at the empty parking lot. Two of the three hooded goons stepped out of the car, opening the door for their master, while the third stayed behind the wheel, ready to drive away once the king was finished with his business here and returned to the vehicle. They all wore black hoodies, gloves, and grey jeans, and wore crow masks. Alaster would then step out and look towards the van. Like his henchmen, Alaster was also wearing a black hoodie and crow mask to hide his hair and face. Though unlike them, he wore a black trench coat over his hoodie, and his mask was far fancier. It would be easy to tell that he was the king among them.
With his henchmen right behind him, Alaster walked towards the van eager to see Army of Bones in person. Would they stay in the van? Or would they come out and meet with him? Well it honestly made little difference to him.
"Hello there! Shall we get right to business, or would you rather humor me with a conversation first?" Different people worked in different ways. Some were strictly business, all work and no play. Others liked to have a pleasant chat, make jokes, or do something lighthearted before getting down to business. And a few were somewhere in the middle. Only question now was which kind was Army of Bones? |

Her entire life was just a massive conflict of interest. A never ending battle of what was right, versus something she needed to do. Nothing she needed to do ever seemed to be legal, or acceptable. Meeting with the lover of her sister's killer would normally be a planned murder. In her case, he wasn't the one she wanted, and he happened to be one she took a liking too. After all, it was his books that kept her sanity, strangely enough. She owed a bit to him, but she was going to get her revenge soon enough. Kasey had acted in secret, standing in the shadows and keeping to herself. That being said, she also held a grand position in society long before this new strange company appeared to step into the spotlight. A piece of her wanted to show them what for, but with the focus on them, Ketsujo Corp again would flourish while the masses were distracted. With the thousands upon thousands of people she kept employed at her clinics, the hospital, and all of the banks and markets, she had plenty of people to serve her. But she preferred the darkened criminals. Hardened murderers, and turning them out to become a butler for a week, just as a way for them to show their thanks to her. Getting paid a few thousand to sit around a mansion to just clean dishes wasn't so bad, when it came with a bed, and someone to act as your alibi. They were all pawns in her eyes. All of them tools waiting to be used. All of them willing to make a final score, a final risk before retiring. Or the few who were in it for the fun of it, who were just a little more useful, but just that much reckless. After all, once they became a risk, it was Kasey who cut more than her ties with them. She made sure not a single person would carry their bloodline. She was alone. She didn't bring any hirelings or puppets to play with. She didn't need to. After all, she was all she needed, in every sense of the word. With the sight of the approaching car, she would step out of the van, rolling lazily from it. Her horns scratching the rim of the doorframe as she walked to the back of the van, leaving the driver side door open. She watched as two of his goons stepped free of the vehicle. Her hands buried in her pockets as she observed. It did seem some people had changed since she was away. Perhaps she was going to have a much more interesting night. "That depends." Setsuna would speak, in place of Kasey's own voice. The bellowing demonic sound as it danced from within her throat. The small changes to make it appear just that more feminine to fit. "I'll be as open as a book, provided you have a new one for me to read." And so, her game had begun, ~ Word Count: 505 ~ |
