A flyer had darted and danced through the air for some unknown amount of time before slapping an unsuspecting Radimir in the face. He tried to be cautious of his surroundings but this completely blindsided him somehow. Prying the paper off his face he figured he should at least look it over rather than crumpling it up and discarding it in the trash. He assumed it'd be something about selling a home or vehicle or maybe even some kind of shady get rich quick scheme, but to his surprise it was something rather interesting. Someone, the name listed below read 'Sophie Sequoia', was looking for people to come in and assist with her studies. There was the option of being interviewed, most likely about when a person's quirk developed and what it was like and the correlation it might have had with their parents quirks. A physical exam was probably to test out the capabilities of someone's quirks and see the potential for growth or how it might be applied to better society. At least the hope is usually for the betterment of society. And then there was the mention of something called 'Quirk Science'. Probably to try and explain where quirks come from or what causes them and what the future of humanity has in store should quirks continue to develop and evolve. It isn't like the whole world is filled with people who have quirks but it's slowly starting to look that'll be the case at some point. The gears, metaphorical at this current moment, turned through Radimir's mind. It seemed like there'd be a lot to learn from this 'Sequoia' lady and there wasn't really in harm in checking the whole thing out. As far as he could tell from the flyer the whole thing would be rather low key compared to being some big lecture or something. And the address was clearly visible at the bottom as well. Guess that settled it.
That was a few days ago and now that the weekend had arrived Rad was free to do whatever so long as he gave some sort of heads up to the administration. Now that he was a student at U.A. he was representing them at all times so he couldn't be wandering through the streets at his leisure causing trouble. Not that either of those things was really his style to begin with. The teacher he'd spoken to had raised an eyebrow at the request but didn't have any real reason to deny it and so as long as Rad behaved himself and didn't get into any danger then things would be fine. Here's to hoping he wasn't about to walk into the den of a mad scientist or something. Although maybe that'd be cool too. In order to avoid any issues he asked that his teacher clearly mark out how to get to where he was going on a map and made sure to keep it close to him at all times. The trip didn't take too long but Japan was rather small compared to back home so he figured that was just going to be a personal thing for the foreseeable future. Rather than his usual attire he kept things easier to move around in should he go through any sort of physical examination. He had a black tank top on and some camo cargo shorts along with a pair of gun metal high top sneakers.
Glancing at the map every now and then he found his way to the address that had been marked and looked the place over. It was a full lab and even though he couldn't see inside it was apparent that the place was going to be stacked. Tucking the map away into a random pocket he walked over to the front door. He noticed a bell and pressed it but also made sure to knock just in case. Should everyone be busy inside he'd have to make quite a bit of noise in order to get their attention. "Hello!" From the way he spoke just with that one word it was clear that Radimir wasn't from around here so he hoped that wouldn't make them less inclined to open the door. "I'm here about the quirk science... thing. I saw the flyer and it sounded interesting so I came to check it out." He didn't sound like the most enthusiastic person in the world but at least Rad could be called consistent in his behavior and mannerisms.

The sublimely sinful seduction of science~
❝ “Sophie, there’s someone here to see you? I think it’s about your study requests?” A brainy blonde found glancing between x ray’s that she held in each hand as a voice from an intercom seemed to pipe up to get her attention, Sophie Sequoia’s brow tightened as she paused in the process of her scrutiny and then placed the objects of her interest down in front of her, and picked up something in response to the query that her receptionist had sent to her. I wasn’t expecting someone? Frowning slightly as she plucked her phone up and went through her calendar to check whether she was forgetting about an appointment as she seemed to be prone to doing on occasion, while it was perfectly in reason for her to find a target waiting for her because of this that had slipped her rather busy mind the mentally gifted minx could only look in bemusement as she saw her day free, and then leaned over to respond to the woman who had contacted her. “I see, well then, I’ll be right there…” Unsure of what exactly was going on but at the same time her sense of curiosity getting the better of the blue eyed beauty as well, as she activated the intercom on her end the young scientist found herself slightly bewildered by the turn of events but also somewhat intrigued by what was occurring at the same time, and decided that the best way to deal with things would be a spot of investigation. “Thanks Ayano~” Usually setting up her engagements in advance in some form via phone calls or emails for the most part, Sophie usually anticipated her appointments ahead of time rather than having a drop in visit so there was a sense of novelty to what was occurring, and also no reason to snub the figure who had apparently come to see her at all either. It not taking her all that much time to stow away her current work either, once the scholarly siren had tucked her radiography and notes away into the case file from which it had come and removed her thick rimmed spectacles Miss Sequoia stood up and made for the door, smoothing her clothes out as she did so. As was custom for her when in the lab wearing the requisite coat that one might expect from a doctor or technician, under this she sported some simple but cute office wear in the form of a black blouse and patterned skirt, along with a reasonably high set of stiletto heels which would only make her seem taller and promoted the length of her legs all the more as well. “Oh, hello~” It not taking the bemused blonde all that much time to reach the reception to the building that she shared with many of her colleagues and her mentor as well, the sharp sapphire gaze that Sophie possessed quickly picked out the unfamiliar and adolescent visage of the person that she could only assume was her impromptu visitor, and as she moved close called toward the dark haired teen in order to greet him. “Sophie Sequoia, how might I help you today?” Confused by his arrival so suddenly but at the same time the manners made in the great white north always leaving her largely courteous in the face of a stranger, as she introduced herself the intellectual idol extended her hand to greet the young man and shone her brightest smile toward him, not sure exactly of why he had turned up today but not feeling an ounce of hostility toward such a fact either…

A few minutes passed and there wasn't any response, rather than being disheartened however Radimir merely thought about the reason as to why. Maybe they heard the accent and were concerned with letting a foreigner in. Maybe everyone was currently out to lunch and he'd come at a bad time and would have to wait for someone to let him in. Or perhaps. There was a small clicking sound as Rad turned the handle of the door. Yup, it was as he'd thought. He had shouted at the air without anyone around to be able to hear him. Opening the door lightly he peeked inside and scanned the area. There was a waiting area with some chairs and a table set up and not far from it was what looked like a front desk. A woman sitting behind it was tacking away at a computer when she glanced over, most likely because of the door having been opened, and motioned with her hand for Rad to come inside. Offering an awkward bow before entering he closed the door behind him before approaching the desk.
"Konnichiwa."
He hoped he didn't sound rude, but it was the most basic greeting he could think of besides 'Privet' but that wasn't going to be understood around here. "Sorry to bother but I'm here to see a..." Realizing he'd forgotten the name of the woman he had business with he fumbled around in his pockets before pulling out the folded flyer he'd stowed away. Opening it up briefly his eyes darted to the name located at the bottom before folding it back up and tucking it away once again, in a different pocket this time. "I'm looking for a Ms. Sequoia. She put out a flyer about the science behind quirks and I was hoping to be of some use." He was careful not to use any complicated words as his Japanese still wasn't the best and every once in a while he messed up the pronunciation but hopefully he was getting across just fine. The woman seemed to have some idea as to what he was on about and nodded her head before offering a kind smile. She offered for Rad to take a seat while he waited but he shook his head, something about being over there alone even for a minute or so seemed awkward. She spoke into an intercom and shortly after the voice, who he assumed belonged to Ms. Sequoia, responded stating she would be there momentarily. "Thank you." Tapping at the floor lightly with the front of his foot he looked around the room sizing the place up. Everything was extremely clean and looked shiny and new, although he wasn't sure if that was actually the case or if it was just that well kept.
The sound of a voice calling out caused him to shift his attention to the source. Approaching him was a woman, noticeably taller than himself and quite beautiful, in a lab coat and some business casual attire. Looks and appearance, some people just had it all he guessed. When she got closer he noticed that she also seemed to be a foreigner, if he had to guess, from somewhere not far from where he originated. She extended her hand and he was a little hesitant at first to shake it, because he wasn't really used to doing that with adults, but it would have been rude to decline and so he shook it. "Radimir Ishikawa, pleasure to meet you Ms. Seqouia. I'm here about the flyer you put out concerning quirk science. I was hoping to help somehow." It was true that he was just a kid but hopefully there'd be something he could do, at the very least he should look like he'd be fairly capable.

The sublimely sinful seduction of science~
❝ Radimir Ishikawa… Rather an unusual name, isn’t it? The brow of the blonde lifting as the chance to shake her soft and silky hand was accepted by the young man in the lobby of the laboratory, Sophie couldn’t help but feel a little intrigued by the odd and ‘international’ inclination of his name, but assumed for the most part that much of it could be explained by the blue gaze that the boy possessed. Amongst other things, I see? That unusual for certain in the land of Japan, as she could well attest to with her own fair features, as she let her own eye line linger on the icy irises of the lad the foreign femme found herself fascinated all the more by what she saw in them, and let her scrutiny fall on that latter fact for a couple of seconds rather intensely as she did so. Such was her habit when dealing with something so unique and captivating. “Well I’d certainly welcome your assistance, Radimir~” Pulling out of her lingering stare after that so as not to make the boy too uncomfortable, while she was definitely interested in the reason this youngster had such an uncommon and almost purposeful pattern in his eyes and could definitely propose a reason for it as well, she was equally tickled by his suggestion about helping her as well. So far able to make a guess as to what he meant but maybe some sense of amusement making the mindful minx want to toy with the lacking clarification for a moment longer, the brainy blonde took a step backward and folded her arms together for a moment as she looked the lad over once more before stepping to the side, and then gestured toward the direction from which she had just arrived. “Do you want to step into my office and discuss it further?” Guessing from Radmir’s mention of the flyer that he was here as a subject but at the same time perhaps entertained and open minded enough by their meeting that she might contemplate other forms of assistance if he was interested, for some reason the common colour of their gaze and his youthful image reminded Miss Sequoia of herself in her own teen years, and that made her want to indulge him. “I’d be most interested in hearing all about how you can help me here~” Remembering how she was once a bright eyed youngster who wanted to spend her days in the laboratory looking up factors of lineage that intrigued her and honestly in many ways never having lost that quality either, whatever the reality of the reason was for this boy with the unusual name to come to her lab was she was fine with the idea with putting her current work on hold for a little while in order to explore the odd feeling of potential he offered to her, and as such once the boy was ready to move to her own little corner of this scientific ‘sky’ in order to explore it a bit more thoroughly…

The handshake was brief as Radimir wasn't one for engaging in prolonged periods of contact with other people, but he could feel how soft Ms. Sequoia's skin was. It served as a contrast to the somewhat ruggedness of his as someone who'd done a fair bit of training and practicing in a combat sport like kick-boxing. There was something about her that he couldn't put his finger on. Perhaps it was the cliche of a boy his age being swept up by the charms of a beautiful older woman, but he hoped he wasn't that easily impressionable. Or that lame for that matter. Something about the way she spoke and her mannerisms just seemed a little different to him from what he'd expect a scientist or researcher to be like. It was sort of like she was a beacon of sunshine in a generally cold and steely environment. At the very least she was relatively kind and welcomed his help rather than turning him away for being so young. With her ushering the way he nodded his head and started to walk off towards the office that she mentioned.
Entering the room he stared wide-eyed now that he was getting a real look at the facilities. The place seemed like it was part lab and part hospital, but maybe this was just standard for all research labs, it's not like Rad had plenty of other experiences to call on to compare this to. "This place... is pretty amazing." His intention had been to say this to himself but Ms. Sequoia undoubtedly heard him. He took a few steps and let his eyes wander from machine to machine to the various computers and other research tools strewn about on tables. "Well based on the flyer there's lot's I could help you with. I don't mind interviewing and answering whatever questions you might have and a physical examination is fine by me. Then there was something about 'quirk science' and I'd be interested in learning about that. It certainly all seems very interesting. His voice echoed about the room as he continued to explore but made sure not to touch anything so as not to cause any trouble.
He turned to face Ms. Sequoia and just shrugged at her. "Honestly, you're the scientist here. Whatever you think you can use me for I'm game. Noticing a microscope out of the corner of his eye an idea struck him. "Or maybe it would be better to say whatever you think you can use this for is okay." Getting a little closer to the microscope he examined it for a few moments very intently, the grid system of his eyes flashing briefly, before he nodded his head approvingly. Turning to face Ms. Sequoia again he activated his quirk with a clear image in mind of what he wanted to accomplish. His right eye began to mechanize and extend from his head ever so slightly and transformed into a large objective lens. His ear became a knob and he turned it a few times cycling between the various magnifications. "I know it's not exactly how a microscope functions, but I can't exactly bring you closer to me so this will have to do. Hope it can be of some use to you Ms. Sequoia."

The sublimely sinful seduction of science~
❝ “Heheheheh, Oh I see, that certainly makes a lot of sense…?” Chuckling and shaking her head as the young man with the unusual name confirmed the suspicions she held, as the two made their way back into the amalgam of office and laboratory where Sophie worked the young woman chuckled and cooed softly, and then found herself tickled pink at the sight of her potential subject in awe at the facility she possessed. “I had suspected that you had come to me in a more subjective capacity, however I wanted to be sure of the matter, I suppose?” Very few that came into this room as a patient seeming to be all that impressed by the machinery, devices and other paraphernalia that was kept within her workplace but plenty seeming to be intimidated by it, once again the blonde couldn’t help but feel just a little bit like she was looking through a window into her own history as she watched the lad ogle her equipment so shamelessly, and remembered how she too had once been so very impressed by the array that her father had in his own office. “You never know where you might find a nice new number one lab tech…?” That memory perhaps why she chose to confess a little of the reason why she hadn’t made such a speedy assumption about the reason for Radimir’s being here, as a dedicated follower of study the girl would have wanted to encourage anyone who had the same habits as her own, and in her own way had held out a bit of hope that this young man might have wanted to follow in her own proverbial footsteps and that was why he had come to see her. “Or perhaps even your next protégé?” Perhaps that sense of optimism for future occupation not entirely extinguished just yet either, though Miss Sequoia teased the idea of mentoring the lad more for her own sense of fun and amusement she also wished to voice the fact that she wouldn’t be entirely against such an idea if he had the time and ability to focus himself on such a notion in future, and smiled as she closed the door behind her to her room and moved to her desk to grab a clipboard in afford a note making process she guessed would be needed soon. “Oh goodness, now that is an interesting ability… A microscope, you say?” All too quickly given cause to get hands on with the boy himself rather than her pen and paper when the lad began to show off his quirk for her without provocation, while she had recently reprimanded another young man for jumping the gun with her in this very room on this occasion the Russian was given the benefit of the doubt by his Canadian purveyor due to how harmless his abilities seemed to be right now, but she also gave little regard to her own bearing as well. “Fascinating function, is this all you can do? What’s your quirk called?” Practically squealing with excitement before getting up close and personal and perhaps embarrassingly so when one considered the cut of her shirt and the impact of hormones given the age of her patient, as she leaned in nice and close to get a good look at that microscopic eye and then even mixed her fingers with those of Mr Ishikawa to tweak the ear-knob for further titillation the blonde was perhaps forgetting the impact that such nearness and intimate behaviour might have had on a boy of fifteen, and instead found herself lost to intrigue and innocence as she studied and questioned him joyously…

The words of the brilliant scientist he found himself standing opposite of had not been lost on the young foreigner, in fact they practically bounced and echoed off the walls of his mind. He hadn't really considered it before but it seemed like the woman, utterly devoted to science and her work as it was, had a hidden agenda with the flyers she'd put out. Recruiting anyone willing to lend their time to her would definitely prove to be useful in some manner and possibly even further her studies yes, but there was even more to it than just that. She had a very peculiar way of speaking, it was a manner that he wasn't very used to. Something about it felt as if she might have been toying with him but that could have just been his imagination. At the very least it seemed like she had a lot more to say than she was. It could have been a test of some kind to see if he was able to fill in the blanks himself. Kind of roundabout but he figured she had her reasons. It was possible she didn't want to come off as too pushy or maybe she felt embarrassed trying to ask so much of someone so young and a person she'd only just met minutes ago. Ms. Sequoia certainly seemed confident so he decided to go with the former. He could respect that. People who were pushy or overzealous tended to wear him down anyway.
In little to no time she'd closed the distance between them, clearly very intrigued and pleased at the small display of his quirk and one of it's numerous applications. She was a woman of science and that was to be expected. The more hands on approach she was currently taking however was not. Once again he felt the softness of her skin against his as their fingers became intertwined so that she might try and cycle through the oculars without just touching him outright. That might have been a little less awkward if he had to guess but he wasn't exactly in a position to voice his opinion. She got a bit closer to him and he swore he could see a sparkle in her eye as she asked what else his quirk was capable of. The eye that had been transformed was focused clearly on her but his other couldn't help but notice her figure as she wasn't very far from practically bearing down on him. He managed to catch himself and returned his attention to her properly. Honestly the whole situation was less than ideal as he wasn't used to being in such proximity of the opposite gender. Especially not when they were older and so much more developed. He hoped he wasn't blushing but it was honestly hard to tell, it would be kind of a first for him if he was.
With his free hand he lightly placed it against her shoulder as a way of keeping her from getting any closer than she had already. Doing his best to politely, if there was even such a way, to remove his fingers from hers and take a small step back to try and not only regain his composure but also diffuse the situation the woman seemed to be oblivious to. "Right. A little warning if you don't mind, not used to people being so close." Deactivating his quirk his eye receded back into it's socket and returned to normal as did the ear that had been a knob moments ago. "My quirk is called 'Tools of the Trade'. It doesn't really look like much unless I activate it." He pointed at one of his eyes with his now Sequoia-less hand. "It's this grid pattern I have over my irises. I take it you noticed them already. When I look at something like a machine, device, construct, or anything of the sort I'm able to figure out what it's made of and how it works pretty easily. I'm able to take on the properties and even change my body into the form of the things I've scanned. Doesn't work on stuff like guns or explosives though but I could still tell you about them."
Taking a breath as he wasn't used to having to go on small spiels like this one his attention shifted back to the lab they were in. It appeared like he was thinking about something. "So Ms. Sequoia, I take it you wouldn't mind more than just a little help around here?" If he'd managed to read the situation right, which was about a fifty/fifty split for him at best, then she was in the market looking for an assistant of some kind. And that didn't sound like too bad a deal to Rad. At the very least he figured he'd be able to learn a lot from her.

The sublimely sinful seduction of science~
❝ “Hm? Oh gosh!” Far too interested in the mechanics and means behind the quirk that Radimir was showing her to ever consider how intrusive her actions would be, the sound of the boy’s warning and the redness that she now noticed within his cheeks suddenly telling Miss Sequoia that she was moving far too fast, she stopped in place and blinked for a moment or two in recognition of this fact and proved easy for the lad to ease away as a result. “I’m so, so sorry! I got rather carried away there, didn’t I?” Gasping at the realization of how she let her enthusiasm get the better of her and even going so far as to take a step backward because of it, now it seemed to be the turn of this blue eyed beauty to blush as she suddenly felt rather awkward and was left with a hand over her mouth, and a feeling of guilt within her for being so voracious with her newest subject. “I’m like… When I see something I want, I just can’t help myself? It’s… a bad habit?” Perhaps not wholly aware of just how sensitive a boy of fifteen might be to the bountiful charms she possessed and often rather ignorant of them as well, with a crimson hue hanging beneath her icy gaze the blushing blonde pulled her hand behind her head and scratched it softly as she offered an explanation for a bad habit she had never quite managed to break, and hoped that would in some way explain her further. “But yes, I took things too far with that, and it would be wise to take things a little slower from here on out?” Not in any way wanting to cross a line or make the boy with the intriguing ability feel awkward or uncomfortable in her presence, after touching her cheek lightly and feeling the warmth in it Sophie scurried back to her desk and grabbed the wheeled chair from it, though she tossed him a cheeky little wink as she slipped into her seat and began to focus a little more on her clipboard the academic angel did feel quite bad for what she had done and hoped that the rest of their meeting might go a little bit more smoothly from here on out. “Interesting… Very Interesting…” Humming and nodding as the lad gave her a fuller description of the principles through which his quirk functioned and using her pen to scribble what he said down as quickly and messily as possible, even though it wasn’t quite as much fun as seeing the action of Radmir’s ability first hand Miss Sequoia certainly had fun hearing about it, and quickly thought of ways it could be used. “Does it only work on things nearby, or can you recall and conjure things from memory?” If her theory was right this lad like a walking tool kit which was probably why the quirk had the name it did, she might very well be curious about the idea of exploiting the ability both as a subject of her research and perhaps as an aid for her experiments in future, the latter of which seemed to be something they perhaps both had in mind right now. “Heheheheh, there’s definitely a possibility~ And you’re fine calling me Sophie, by the way…” Perhaps the hope that she had shown earlier seeming to provide a little dividend when the boy seemed to ask about the prospect of aiding her work, Sophie looked up from her notes and smiled at the interest he showed, and once she had mentioned the fact that she preferred a lack of formality between them found herself eager to explore the possibility. “But yes, I’d hate to turn away a talented intern, or really any kind of bright and dedicated mind?” Already noting how useful a person with a quirk like this might be to her both inside her lab and hopefully on trips into the wider world, more than that if the boy was curious and responsible enough to be an asset the brainy blonde would be happy to have him by her side from time to time, his education permitting of course…

Given her reaction was to be about equally as embarrassed as the lad was it at least answered a question he had no intention of vocalizing but was grateful to have cleared up all the same. She acted sort of absentmindedly, as if by the impulse or drive to learn about something new that fascinated her, instead of a way as to tease and toy with him. Well, at least the latter wasn't her priority anyway. Ms. Sequoia seemed quite intelligent and so the boy was sure the older attractive woman knew exactly what she was packing and had fun flaunting it here and there to get a rise out of people. By comparison some kind of physical examination, even if it would be taxing or demanding, seemed far easier than having to deal with that. Motioning with his index finger and thumb as if he was beginning to pinch or squeeze something between them he offered an awkward smile. "Just a bit yeah. Don't beat yourself up over it too much though." His attention shifted to the floor and he couldn't help but mimic her gesture of scratching behind his head as her words seemed to hang in the air around him. "I see. Something you want huh?" The Russian youth wasn't even sure what to make of that or where to begin with if he even tried and so he elected to just try and forget about it.
Nodding his head in agreement he moved he returned his gaze to her. "Yes. I think that would be for the best. No need to rush or get ahead of ourselves I don't think." As far as he could tell they had plenty of time on their respective hands to discuss matters and settle whatever business was proposed. At the very least things seemed fine for a first meeting, probably going over a little better albeit differently than expected. As the sounds of note taking echoed lightly through the room she posed another question about his quirk and he realized he hadn't given her the full details yet. "If I've seen it before, and I mean taking a moment or two to analyze and pick it apart in my mind, then I'm able to use my quirk to recreate it. My memory isn't the best sometimes but those sort of blueprints are always accessible for me. It's rather convenient truthfully." He was going on and on about his quirk and part of him felt as if he was bragging and felt a little guilty about it. At this point he should explain the limitations of the quirk. "And also, using my quirk requires a fair amount of energy being used. The more of my body is used for the transformation or the more intricate the more energy I need for it. Using too much leaves me feeling hungry and tired."
The academic bombshell sitting across from him offered to drop the formalities and Rad knew it would be rude to not take her up on that. "Okay Sophie. Just Rad is fine for me." She was still being a bit coy in her approach and Rad felt himself slip into deep thought to try and piece together what she'd been saying. He supposed he should be completely upfront with her. Keep it real and all that. "Well Ms. Se- ur, uh. Sophie. I'm still pretty new around here. I just recently enrolled in UA academy, I'm guessing you know about it. I don't really know what to expect from it but all I can really say is that I'm going to do my best with handling whatever it throws at me. So. That's what my priority is. But, I wouldn't mind doing what I can to help you with whatever you need when I'm able." Now that he was on the subject he hadn't really considered what that entailed anyway.
Folding his arms he gave his full undivided attention to the brilliant mind of this establishment, hopefully she'd be able to glean from his expression that he wanted full honesty from her. That and a serious answer rather than just eluding to and playing around with things as she'd mostly done prior. "Which by the way, if you don't mind my asking, what is that exactly? What are you hoping to do or accomplish with all of this? What's your goal? I'd like to know what I'm fully signing up for before just jumping into it."

The sublimely sinful seduction of science~
❝ “W-Whoa, not like that!” Even more pinkness seeming to rush toward the cheeks of the young scientist thanks to the inflection her subject put upon the word ‘want’, all too quickly the mind of Miss Sequoia was rushing to places that seemed rather icky given their difference in age and station and she raised her hands in front of her in protest at such a concept, and offered a little more clarification on the issue. “Simply inn regard to scientific curiosity, I assure you.” Perhaps becoming a little bit blunt given how she wanted to categorically cut off any inference of illicit intent on her part given how dicey things had become, the blonde wasn’t sure if the boy actually meant to hint at that kind of lascivious desire or was either ignorant or making a joke, but regardless of the reason stated her desire firmly so there could be no further misunderstandings. She didn’t want things turning into some kind of bawdy play, after all. “I see, I see… Do you have an easier time recalling things you’ve replicated more regularly?” Certainly rather relieved when they moved back to something a bit more scientific than sensually orientated, after having jotted down those notes the blue eyes of the beauty flashed upward as she found her intrigue piqued by his memory abilities, and wondered just how such skills might have been honed and developed by the boy before her to give him such an apparently easy use of his power like he had shown so recently. “Like a honed reflex? Or memorizing a molecule pattern?” Perhaps her line of thinking even going so far as to offer a little grain of wisdom for the training of the boy in future depending upon how his power functioned, given the fact that Quirks were for all intents and purposes extensions of bodily functions Sophie wondered if using other processes like reflex memory or something of the sort might be the key to expanding upon his skills, and was curious to know whether or not this boy was practicing such habits already? UA academy? Most assuredly intrigued when the lad next seem to mention the fact that he was attending the hero school in Musutafu, having dealt with another student from there not too long ago it was intriguing both intellectually and simply because Miss Sequoia wondered if Ray and Rad had met before, and made her smirk to consider. Another one of them? Interesting… In many ways that establishment seeming to be like a treasure chest for her suddenly, filled with gems, the influx of people who appeared to have fewer reservations about showing off their quirks was certainly a boon for the studies of the scientist, and also made her curious about visiting the place at some point to see if she could drum up more ‘business’ for herself. Which of course Nimue might have been able to help her with as well, now wouldn’t she? “Honestly? I just find biology and quirks to be fascinating, and want to understand them and learn from them?” Perhaps falling ‘victim’ to the idea of plucking ripe fruit from that potential grove a little too much and as such a bit bowled over when next her potential protégé asked her about her intentions with her research and future goals, since she tended to just dip into this stuff for simple enjoyment her initial answer to such a question was perhaps a little lacklustre and overly honest to say the least, but with a little more consideration Sophie was able to find a slightly better response a moment later. “However, if I needed to attribute some grand goal to my work… I think acceptance? I want the world to embrace this change for the wonder it is, if given the right kind of guidance?” Taking a breath and really focusing on the reasons that she did her research beyond simple intrigue and the things that excited her about the future of quirks and their relation to society as whole, this found something for the academic angel that seemed a little nobler than simply flexing her intellect to attribute her career to and honestly made her feel a bit better about her work as well, and hopefully would prove enough to satisfy the young man before her as well?

Almost wanting to take a sigh of relief at Sophie's expression he was glad that he wasn't so socially inept that he couldn't pick up on what she'd alluded to. Even if she'd only done so by accident. And the breath was more for it all being a misunderstanding anyway. There was almost a chill that ran down his spine as the thought of having to hold off the advances of an older woman entered his mind. It was something he was nowhere near prepared for and overall just plain improper and wrong for a number of reasons. He wasn't going to expand on any of those as he began to push these thoughts from the deep corners of his brain. Still it was sort of refreshing to see that he wasn't the only one getting flustered. She reassured him that any interests she had were purely practical and in the name of science. Clearing his throat his expression was sort of bland but mostly to try and cover up the minor embarrassment he'd felt earlier. "Right, of course. Didn't really thing there'd be any other kind anyway." The woman was a bit of an enigma to him. Although truthfully he could hear somewhere in the back of his mind the echoing words of his father assuring him that all members of the opposite sex were just like that. Rad hoped that wouldn't be the case or he had more than a few exhausting encounters ahead of him.
Quickly having changed the subject and seemingly sweeping the previous antics under the rug a question was posed that hadn't really crossed the boy's mind admittedly. Placing a hand under his chin he thought about it, staring off into space for a bit as he did. "Hmm. Maybe? I'm not sure really. It's sort of like an archive in my head I guess. Once I've made something I don't really think I can forget. Same goes for the stuff I've analyzed. But truthfully I don't know if there might be some sort of limit to it? Maybe I can only have a certain amount of those 'blueprints' I mentioned stored at a time and if I go over the cap I forget something. I don't really think I've forgotten anything though so I don't think that's the case but you never know." A part of him worried that he might forget about the things he'd seen and come to understand but somehow he doubted that was the case. His father used to tell him stories about all sorts of things he'd seen and broken down in his head, a lot more than would make sense if there was any sort of cap. "I think it might just be if I've seen it I can use it in some way. Only time will really tell though as I broaden my horizons." In a way the boy almost posed that last bit as a challenge to the scientist, a dare to show him incredible things he hadn't seen before and see what he could make happen with that acquired knowledge.
Rad had posed his own question and the answer he'd received wasn't as grand or cosmic as he expected, but at the same time he wasn't all that surprised by this revelation. Crossing his arms he tilted his head and looked at Sophie. It seemed like she was looking within herself to find something more. Probably in an attempt to satisfy him but maybe also something she could be happier with as well. A reason she could proudly exclaim. Truth be told it didn't really matter to him so long as she wasn't planning on using whatever she learned with the intention of hurting people or making life more difficult for others than it already was. After reinforcing her answer silence hung in the air for a short while as the two of them seemed to stare each other down. The young Russian exhaled loudly before dropping his arms to his side. "I see. So you just find this stuff really interesting and feel personally fulfilled getting to study and learn. You're just doing all this mostly because it's what you love. But. If you're able to use this knowledge to help people or make the world a better place then you'll be more than happy to do that too." There was quite a lot of build up and one would probably expect something amazing, probably even philosophical to follow, but unfortunately Rad didn't have any of that for the occasion. "Makes sense to me." And that's all there really was to it, it was an answer he could accept and so he'd just role with it. "As I said earlier, not really sure what I can do to help. But if you'll have me you can count me in."

The sublimely sinful seduction of science~
❝ “Heheheh, well if you’d be interested in testing and pushing your limits, I might be able to help?” Tilting her head as the lad confessed that he had yet to really find any noticeable boundaries or impediments to his analytical ability that he had yet to profess, the uncertainty inherent in his description was something that Miss Sequoia certainly felt keen on exploring, and as such likely held an even greater sense of curiosity over Radimir’s maxima than perhaps he did, as well as a desire to see them as well. “This lab as a whole has a wide array of machinery you’d be unlikely to run into in the everyday, and if that isn’t enough I’d sure I could make some calls and get a few guest passes arranged for other places with specialized equipment?” Because of this only too happy to make use of the equipment that she and others in the building possessed to help them with their own forms of research, the brainy blonde knew that she could also exploit connections and owed favours from parties outside of it who stood in a range of exciting venues that might prove useful to them, which would make for quite the exam if they needed it. Oh it was fun exploring something that before this moment she didn’t even know was possible, wasn’t it? “Are there any other limits to your power, aside from guns and explosives?” Definitely rather intrigued by the limits that the lad had both in terms of new forms of input as well as how his ability seemed to function as a whole, while they had already kind of explored the topic of what was applicable to analysis and replication by his power, Sophie couldn’t help but want to go into that subject in greater detail now that she’d had the chance to mull the matter over in her mind. “Like how do you handle really intricate items? How about computers given there’s a software element?” Things like microscopes useful but perhaps a rather simple form of technology going off the standards that were set by their current modern age, the academic angel couldn’t help but want to indulge this power like she was a child who had been given a shiny new toy, and wanted to learn how she might use it best and get the most excitement from ‘playing’ with it. “Heheheheh, that would be the short and long of it, I suppose?” Nodding at the summation that Radimir gave to her ambitions and interest with little issue or need to correct him, Miss Sequoia felt no shame for admitting that the large part of her pursuit of knowledge came from a pure desire to learn and help her mind blossom into an even more beautiful flower of understanding, and yet was glad to see that the boy did not judge her for this. Seeming to take such information in his stride, even though the blonde did not have the kind of ego that would have left herself feeling bruised if he had denounced her desire it still felt nice to know she was accepted for her warts and all, and this fact only made the idea of working with him burn that little bit brighter within her mind as she looked him over again. “Heh, I’m not sure either but with a quirk like yours I’m sure I could find a way to make use of you?” Perhaps seeming a little bit flaky when she was asked about what sort of role the blue eyed boy might be able to fill in her lab, however, given how she had not been looking for an assistant until this potential prize had fallen into her lap only a matter of moments ago Sophie could only smile as she mused internally over what sorts of things she could have him do, but felt it irresponsible to share them until she had a firm idea in her mind. That not all either, while the idea of getting a bright soul to help her was certainly intriguing for the moment it would be largely conjecture due to the logistics of the matter. “Assuming your school will allow me the time of course… Isn’t the schedule pretty packed there?” Principle among them the ability to access the time that might be available to him, given that the fair femme was by now somewhat familiar with the school of heroes she couldn’t help but feel a little concern that Radimir might be spreading himself a little thin by giving his help, and would have been remiss in her duties as the senior here to not mention that. “I’d probably have to contact the school and make sure they’re OK with the idea?” Certainly interested in his assistance but at the same time not wanting to overburden a busy boy further than was healthy, while he would definitely prove an asset as a woman of education she did not wish to put his future career in jeopardy over the simple matter of an afterschool job?

The calm and collected teen couldn't help but feel as if Sophie's words were a bit of a challenge to him. A warning of sorts that if he planned to stick around here that things weren't going to always be easy and that it would require more than just a little effort on his part. It was either that or she was trying not to sound too excited at the notion of treating him like a guinea pig of sorts. Not that he really minded either way, he had a rough idea of what he'd be signing up for on his journey over to this lab and it wouldn't be like him to back out now. Especially when it seemed like the getting was good. "If I don't push myself then I'll never be able to learn how far I can go. I think everyone should be capable of surpassing their limits at least a couple of times before reaching their peak. And I'd like to believe I'm still pretty far from that." Despite the sort of monotone way Rad tended to speak there was a great deal of confidence behind his words. Very seldom was there a challenge he couldn't face head on or rise to the occasion for. At least so long as it didn't have any social aspects to it.
A small smirk ran itself across his face. He'd already pretty much said yes to this whole gig and yet the angelic intellectual still felt the need to sweeten the deal. It almost felt like she was trying to bribe him, or maybe she was just showing off how far her reach extended. "Well you're the expert here doc. I'm sure you've got plenty to keep me bust with around here but if you want for a change of scenery or to throw some other variables into the mix then by all means. Right now I'm just kind of along for the ride. So wherever you go I'll follow, simple as that." Despite the awkward exchange they'd had only a few moments ago the boy didn't pay much mind to the gravity of his words or the implications they might possible hold. At this point in time he simply had the utmost faith in his senior and trusted that she wouldn't lead him down the wrong path. At least not on purpose. Glancing around the room but still remaining with his attention towards Sophie he wondered as to what else there could be around here for him to learn about. Most things had a practical application and he was curious as to how he could tie that in with his quirk.
Another question about his limitations was raised and he held his chin between his index and thumb as he thought about the answer to that. "Well... the more intricate or complex something is the more energy it takes out of me to incorporate it into myself. It also takes a little longer than usual to be able to scan it and figure out it how it works and what it's made of and all that. But I can still use my quirk." Nodding to himself he was satisfied with his explanation thus far. "So with a computer it sort of just does it in my head. If that makes any sense. The software sorta melds with my brain and I'm able to do things like access the internet, the longer I do that though the more it takes out of me. It's just kind of weird I guess since there's nothing really physical you can see when I do that."
Tilting his head he smiled softly at her. From the long and short of their conversation thus far it seemed like neither of them really knew what to expect. It was going to be a lot of just figuring things out he supposed. He was confident they'd be able to make it work however. The topic of his schooling came up as well as permissions for him to even undergo this sort of apprenticeship or interning or whatever it was and she did have a point. The academy he'd just enrolled in was fairly demanding but they also weren't slave drivers. He'd heard of some kids who had part time jobs and the school even encouraged students to do something along the lines of what he was trying to get himself into anyway. Still, it would be better to check in with them just in case. "I'll be okay, I'm a lot tougher than I look I assure you. I think as long as I don't fall behind in school they won't mind what I do outside of it. But you're welcome to give them a call and check."

The sublimely sinful seduction of science~
❝ “Oh, absolutely, my own quirk…” The drive to improve that Radimir showed something that Miss Sequoia approved of and nodded at, even though it might have been somewhat unexpected for both of them the blonde biologist decided to conjure up a little of her own quirk in order to give a kind of ‘live demonstration’ of what was possible with practice and persistence, and laid her pam out flat to present a grapefruit sized bubble of blue energy to the lad as a result of her desire. “Initially I was only able to form these bubbles around my body but now I can project them a significant distance away from me without much trouble?” Letting him get a look at it for a second or two before taking a deep breath and casting it into steady motion with her guiding hand in an act of ‘you show me yours and I’ll show you mine’, while the ability of the young scientist was perhaps lacking the sheer depth of variety that her subject could boast with his mechanical mimicry she showed she had her own skills, and while she did not demonstrate the resilience of her creation as she sent it up close to the ceiling and let it perform a little lap of their environment before dispelling it she hoped the exhibition and explanation would be encouraging all the same. “Hehehehe, well it’s good to know I have your trust like that then…?” Actually perhaps a little bit flattered that she had earned such a quick sense of faith from the boy before her and smiling at that fact, as this humble mechanic told her that he was leaving his fate in her hands Sophie felt something of a delight at the prospect, but tried to contain her excitement a little so as not to seem off putting to him or something. “Since we might be seeing one another more regularly I can probably see about drawing up a kind of… ‘Assessment plan’, I suppose? So we can follow through methodically, raise the stakes, so to say?” Carrying no wicked intentions of course but experience teaching her that some did not respond wholly positively to her fervour for learning about quirks, she nodded and began to speak in a manner that was meant both as a bout of thinking aloud and with a mild intent to inform the young man of her intentions as well, and all the while tried to project the scientific principles that would lie behind their experimentation. “Ah, I see, then it probably is a good idea to pace ourselves somewhat, especially if we get to more complicated forms of replication?” Very glad that her curiosity had propelled her to asking about the limits of the lad’s power when next he seemed to inform her that he grew more weary with the more complex or long lasting imitation he was expected to keep, because she was planning to probe his powers rather rigorously it was useful to both her experiments and Radimir’s wellbeing for Miss Sequoia to know a little better of what might tire him, since both could be potentially compromised if he was strained too hard, and that would be a disaster for everyone. “I know you want to test and push your limits, but I’d prefer to limit your personal discomfort as much as possible?” Certainly worrying about the validity of her research but also rather concerned with the welfare of this young figure as well, the scion of science knew all too well how quickly she could get caught up in her excitement and how she tended to fatigue slowly once she was, and knew it was good to plan her research around the needs of her subject more than herself as a result. “I’d rather you didn’t see me as some kind of slave driver, after all?” Even though she wanted to gallop to completion from the get go, she knew that sometimes she had to pace herself rather than let that zeal and eagerness to learn get the better of her, and even though sometimes old habits got the better of her she knew that if she went into this with a level head then she was more likely to keep it as things went on.. “Well that’s certainly encouraging to hear, but I think I will give get in contact?” Nodding again as the boy confirmed the notion that his free time was largely his own and the school he attended had no defined right to tell him how he might spend it, whilst this was certainly good news the brainy blonde thought it was probably still a good idea to keep them informed of their connection and the potential, mostly out of a desire for maintaining a good relationship but also with a view to collaboration. “It sounds like we might not need permission per se, but the courtesy can only help our cause? And maybe, if they’re aware of it, it might score you some form of extracurricular credit as well?” There no need for her to butt heads with an institute that was trying to educate this young man and help him follow his dreams after all, to Sophie’s mind it seemed natural to design a schedule that provided the optimum level of satisfaction from all parties concerned, because ultimately she had plenty of time to enjoy her subject, now didn’t she? Even if they took the so called ‘slow path’ to success the rewards were sure to be worth it…
