It was just before most businesses open in the city that the small suv pulled up to the curb. The city never truly slept, of course, and already traffic was beginning to grow heavier as the morning rush began to build. It wouldn't be long before the streets were packed and the enormous weight of humanity pressed against itself in a desperate attempt to fulfill its own needs. Yet for a few young people, that wouldn't be so much of an issue. They had other matters to attend to. Here, nary four blocks away from the Public Safety Comission Headquarters stood a single office building three stories tall. No fanfare marked it but a single plackard on a stand-alone stone block out front;
Unlike the woman herself; fiery and temperamental, the place had an odd serenity to it from the outside. A juxtaposition, the unfortunate students would find, as they entered the unlocked building. Shouting from the floor above.
"Ma'am, please, Akihabara is not that far away, and it's only a signing, it's not like-"
"The answer is no! Ye hearin' me ye git? Or do I haffaspell it? I ain't got time for a damn book signing right now! Been ages since I published a damn thing anyway!" Taka Keiko shouted from above, making her way toward the stairs from the sound of it.
"B-but what about th-"
"And another thing! Why the hell do you keep filing those damn requests from that bougie bitch anyway? I don't need a damn sponsor! This ain't no popularity contest and that Russian bint ain't gonna parade me around like a bloody friggin peacock!"
"Ma'am please... there are expectations... especially now that-"
Way thinner than they ever thought she could be, in nothing but a pair of blue jeans, a black tank-top and red and black coat over it. The Pro-Hero Aquitaine looked more like someone their age than someone three times their age. She stopped at the top of the stairs and grabbed the bull horned man walking up behind her by the mouth. He froze, looking down before she released him and cracked a wide, manic smile. "Oi oi oi! Lookit this! Y'all showed up!" She snarled, descending the steps and glanced up at the man who's shoulders fell. She pursed her lips and sighed through her nostrils. "...I'll do the signing after the internships are over, these kids come first."
He nodded eagerly and left, she exhaled and scratched her head before making her way down the steps.
"S'my agent," She grunted, glancing over her shoulder; "Don't tell him, but I couldn't do half of what I do wiffout him," She chuckled; "Go to his head."
She smiled and then looked at those present; "Right, lets do a quick roll call before we get started, I know yer names but just in case for the others-names and why you decided to get yourself stuck wiff me," She put her hands on her hips. "Why do you wanna be a 'ero in the first place?"
